Chapter 22:

In our previous entry, Chaka had successfully infiltrated Capsule Corp grounds and is planning on assassinating Kiki! Chaka quietly opens the window. As he did so, the chilling breeze would blow in, causing Kiki to pull up her bed sheets to stay warm. Chaka then makes his way closer to the bed, and stretches out both his arms to snap her neck. But, something was wrong. Chaka had felt a disturbance crawling down his spine once he got right next to the bed. It was a person, with a foreboding voice. The person would say: "I wouldn't do that if I were you, you sniveling bitch…"

Chaka turns around to see the individual. It was Vejin! Chaka felt that the jig was up, and quickly moved his plan to attacking Vejin. But, Vejin simply deflects and dodges all of Chaka's attacks, even the ones heading for his vital points. Vejin remarks: "So what are you, some kind of hitman? Perhaps an assassin for hire, did I nail that on the head?" Chaka tries to take down Vejin by wrapping his arms around his neck and choking him. But, Vejin didn't feel a thing. In fact, Chaka didn't even have the strength to restrict Vejin's breathing at all. Vejin continues to one sided conversation: "I take it you still intend to keep going. I thought I'd at least have something to do, but I guess I was wrong."

Kiki wakes up and turns the light on: "Vejin!? What are you- And who's that?!" She points to the mystery man. Vejin turns to Kiki: "Look, I have no clue who this guy is. I found him here in your room and he was gonna kill you." Kiki's face turned ghostly pale: "K-K-Kill me!?" Vejin responds quickly: "Listen, you don't need to worry about it, alright? I'll take care of the guy. Just get a move on." Kiki anxiously nods and stumbles her way out of her room. Vejin's focus turns back to Chaka and he's still trying to damage Vejin. Vejin, at this point, feels sorry for Chaka who's putting all his hard work into killing him. "Alright, I think I've had enough fun and games, alright buddy?" Vejin says. "I'll let you leave this place right now, and nobody gets hurt. Got it? I'm giving you one chance."

Chaka finally opens his mouth: "You are a tough adversary, but nothing I can't take down!" Chaka tries to punch at Vejin's stomach for a knockout, but his attack is stopped instantly. Vejin grabs onto Chaka's arm with one hand. Vejin shakes his head: "I warned you…" Vejin immediately twists Chaka's arm and rips it clean off. The blood from Chaka's arm would drip onto the floor as Vejin holds it in front of him. Chaka bellows in pain, grabbing on to where Vejin ripped his arm off to limit the bleeding. Vejin coldly tells him: "Next time you do that shit again, it's gonna be your head…"

Vegeta Jr would run into the stumbling Kiki. Kiki loses her balance, but is caught by Vegeta Jr. Vegeta Jr says: "Kiki! What's gotten into you?" Kiki faintly tells him: "A man…and V-Vejin…" Vegeta Jr doesn't quite understand and raises an eyebrow: "What do you mean? A man and Vejin?" Kiki answers him: "Th-That man was…going to k-kill me" Vegeta Jr was taken aback by this: "What!? The man was gonna kill you!?" Vegeta Jr now knows the emergency situation he's in and sounds the alarm for guards to come rushing in. He storms to Kiki's room and sees the crime scene. The old man was surprised to see that Kiki was right. There was Vejin standing over a man on the floor, who is…missing an arm? Vegeta Jr has a better look at things and Vejin is holding the man's arm.

Vegeta Jr had no other words, but one. He said: "VEJIN!" Vejin turns around: "Sorry about that gramps…" Vejin vaporizes the arm away with a blast small enough to not damage Kiki's room. Vejin continues: "This guy just snuck in here without a care and nearly killed your assistant. You need better security here, old man." Vegeta Jr didn't want to start an argument, but he did have something to say to Vejin: "Vejin…To think that you would end up using such a cruel move on someone who can't lay a finger on you…I understand that it was the need to protect Kiki that made you do this, but it feels like something that you would have done over a year ago, and not present day you." Vejin replies: "I understand what you mean. I do apologize for that." Vegeta Jr tells him: "It's alright, Vejin. But, again, thank you for protecting Capsule Corp."

The guards would arrive shortly after their conversation had ended. They all point their guns to the downed assassin before one of them places cuffs on his arm and arrests him. They take Chaka and escort him out of the building and into the back of a police van. After a bit of a drive, they arrive at the precinct and take Chaka to a jail cell and uncuff his hand. They close the door behind him and lock it. His plans of killing Kiki have failed and now landed him a spot in jail. His revenge had been flushed down the drain and lays on the bed in the cell.

The next morning two guards arrive in front of Chaka's cell. He opens one eye and sees the guards, but just rolls over. The guard bangs on the cell: "Hey, you! Get up already!" Chaka rolls back over to face the guards and sits up. Chaka doesn't say anything and looks at the guards. The other guard unlocks and opens the door: "Get up, you're leaving the cell." Chaka raises an eyebrow: "You're kidding right?" The guard assures him: "Buddy, you're free to go. Someone posted your bail last night. Now get the hell out of here, we have enough people in these cells." The guards escort him to the visitor's room and there would be a man already in one of the seats. The guards close the door behind them. The man who has already taken a seat politely tells Chaka: "Please, have a seat, Chaka." Chaka's guard is still up and cannot see who had posted his bail. Chaka takes a seat and he instantly recognizes who the man is. Chaka was shocked: "You..You posted my bail?"

The man had long and sleek black hair that would go down to his chin, a long trench coat, and a set of black gloves and boots. The man's name is Jabon Raza, one of the heads of the underground world. The guards don't question Jabon Raza's appearance since they were offered compensation for this scenario. Jabon Raza shakes Chaka's hand: "I'm glad that you are now a free man Chaka. I would like to offer a request to you, if you don't mind." Chaka declines almost immediately after he shakes Jabon's hand: "I'm sorry, but I don't think I can go back to assassination. Not after such a humiliating defeat I just faced."

Jabon retorts: "Chaka, you are misunderstanding what I'm asking here. I know of this defeat. It costed your arm, but you were lucky to make it out. Do I have that right?" Chaka nods his head. Jabon continues: "As a leader of the underground world, you have to know that I have eyes and ears everywhere." Jabon Raza takes out a drone that looks identical to that of an insect. "I've been keeping tabs on all sorts of people. Including the ones you're after." Jabon tells him. "In fact, I also share a common interest with you. But, I myself have a different reason than you." Jabon puts the insect drone away. Chaka asks him: "What do you mean? I'm sorry, I don't quite follow what you're asking me."

Jabon Raza snaps his fingers and the "guards" would lock the door. Jabon Raza sits back down: "It's very simple, Chaka. How would you like to become one of those warriors you just fought? Being able to wield extraordinary power, speed, and the ability to take out anyone with ease."

Chaka leans in towards the table with intrigue. This definitely caught onto him. Jabon Raza smirks: "I see I've got your attention, heh. Alright then, allow me to tell you. My facilities have a program called the Super Warrior Program. Someone of my choosing will become a volunteer and be experimented on by mutating your genetic code and turn you into the pinnacle of human engineering. You'll be stronger, faster, and more resilient than ever before."

Chaka smirks: "That sounds rather interesting, sir. You have my attention." Jabon Raza sticks his hand out for another handshake: "All you have to do is just make a deal with me. I'll turn you into a super being so you can become what you desire most and take out those warriors at Capsule Corp." Chaka extends his hand and shakes Jabon's: "You've got a deal." They both smirk at each other. The guards unlock the door and the four of them make their way out of the building.

After thirty minutes of driving in the dead of night, they arrive in the outskirts of the mountains. They exit the car and enter a small building. Jabon Raza and Chaka take the elevator and descend downwards. Once they reached the bottom, Chaka feasts his eyes on the core of the Super Warrior Program. It was a complete restoration of an old abandoned lab from centuries ago. However, Jabon Raza had rebranded the entire lab for his organization, but kept one thing untouched. It was a faded logo on the wall. It was something red with two R's on it. Perhaps we've seen this lab before.

The Two Super Saiyans: Ryuko and Saito (#2)

In a distant field, thunderous booms would be heard, shaking the ground as two colossal powers clashed against each other. Ryuko and Saito could be seen exchanging blow after blow, each one mightier than the last. "So you've been a Super Saiyan for that long and you didn't help me fight Kobra?!" Ryuko exclaimed.

"You have to understand I was a Super Saiyan for a total of one minute before being imprisoned by a power so immense it made my strength as a Super Saiyan meaningless." Saito explained. "Not only was I not sure of my own strength but I wasn't even sure if I could access the form again. It wasn't until I saw you stand firm against Kobra that I was reassured by the strength of a Super Saiyan." Saito would block an incoming attack from Ryuko, extending his forearm for a ki blast to his gut.

Ryuko would be sent flying back, shaking his arm off. "Makes sense I guess, but jeez if my brother was that strong against you, are you sure that two of us will even make a difference?" As Ryuko said this, he'd vanish behind Saito sending him flying with a roundhouse kick to the back.

As Saito recovered he'd charge up an energy beam. "A warrior standing on his own will always lose to an army. Not because of strength in numbers, but because there's strength behind comradery. If you have something worth fighting for, and there are people to support you, you can prove to be unstoppable!" As Saito finished his sentence, he'd release the beam straight at Ryuko, who would dodge it with ease flying upwards. Saito would keep his eyes on Ryuko, moving his hands in an upwards motion as the beam would turn to track Ryuko's movements. "What?!" Ryuko would exclaim as he got hit by the beam. The impact would be followed by an explosion, masking Ryuko in smoke, slowly the smoke would eviscerate, revealing a bruised up Ryuko. "I've never seen anyone bend a ki wave before…didn't even know that was possible."

Saito would smirk, taking pride in what he had cultivated. "Living under the people of Yardrat was easily one of the best decisions I had ever made. They were masters of ki, the tricks they taught me elevated my strength to new heights. Without them, there's no way I would be where I am." Ryuko grinned, "Well that may be true, but there's no way you'd be able to beat my Kamehameha wave." Saito would smile. "We'll just have to see about that, won't we?"
