CHAPTER 2

POWERS AND WATER TRIBE.

A groan escapes Cara as she lifted a head an touch her forehead, a headache forming as she slowly got up, feeling the sheets of the furry kind falling cling to her while she soothes her head of the headache.

"Oh your awake, good your friend seemed rather concerned" a voice spoke in a happy tone, Cara turned her head to the left before going wide eyed in surprise when she faced the individual.

The woman standing before her had a Inuit skin colour, her hair was tied up in a pony tail on the back of her head with two looping on either side of her face like rings, a blue dress that failed to hide the toned, curvaceous body that Cara struggled not to look at but the most captivating features were the eyes, they were sky blue and they were beautiful.

"H-hi" Cara stutters out, she couldn't believe it, standing before her was none other then Katara, granted an adult version but it was Katara! Cara then saw Katara smile and giggle at her response before giving a playful raised brow and smile,

"What? no compliment this time?" She asks playfully before laughing when Cara's cheeks when warm and her face turned red, Cara mind, as if just waking up and deciding to embarrass her, plays the memory when she complimented Katara of all people when they just had met!

"Um no sorry" Cara chuckled sheepishly with a smile, finding herself drawn to the eyes of Katara, she just couldn't ignore them. Katara gave another laugh before offering a hand,

"I'm Katara, your in my hut in the southern water tribe, your friends left a bit ago, but they looked healthy and fine, you took a while longer to awake though" Katara explains, Cara listened to the explanation intently before giving a nod.

"Okay, where are they now?" She asked to which Katara replied with a smile ,

"Their around the village, pretty sure their helping, the black haired one was adamant on returning the favour of being saved from the *snickers* "the icy grip of the cold" she giggles before adding "your friend Jack has a way with words doesn't he?"

Cara felt a pit of jealousy in her heart form, she forgot that Jack watched the series too and just like her liked the girls in it too.

"Yeah, he sure does" she chuckles, Cara may be jealous but if her friend wants Katara he can have her, as long he didn't go for Azula, if he went for Azula they'd have problems. Cara even noticed a spark of interest in Katara eyes when she spoke about him again,

"So what can you tell me about him anyway? He wasn't exactly very chatty, the other one was though" Katara asks with a smile, a mental grin formed in Cara's mind, oh the things she could tell Katara right now, but she didn't also want to be a bitch towards Jack Revolts and she knew him by far the best cause she can read those two like a book. After a moment of contemplation Cara nods, making up her mind what to tell her and what not to tell,

"Well..."

"Thank you good sir" a woman said to Michael who merely smiles at her while placing a large bag full of wood planks in her storage within her hut that was her shop,

"Its fine, wasn't that heavy to lift, so anything else before I go miss Nami?" He asked with a friendly smile, finding her by far the nicest individual besides the elders and Katara, any other woman that he or his brother even approach till Nami approached him and asked if he can carry a large bag of wooden planks which oddly no one went to help her with, but hey if his brother wanted them to help people then Michael was doing just that! Nami gave a pondering look while placing a hand on her chin before her eyes go wide with a smile on her face as she snaps her fingers,

"Got it, mind watching the shop while I'm getting my supplies? Usually I'd shut shop in case I get robbed, but you don't look like a robbing type, but you do look like a snooper type" she says with a smile.

"A- a Snooper?" Michael asked, confusion setting in, he felt like he knew what she was implying but didn't want to assume with Nami,

"a guy that snoop around, is that a yes?" Nami asks with a smile, her gaze looking hopeful which made it impossible for Michael not to deny and not look like an asshole,

"Sure" he says with a smile, he suddenly saw the adult water tribe woman leap into the air an cheer before hugging him.

"I'll be back in five minutes promise!" She says before leaving the shop in his care... He just hoped no one came by, his not good with the cash register.

Michael with a sigh walked over to the cash register and stands behind it and waits.

(Three minutes later)

Boredom was setting in, Michael wasn't sure what to do as he started to curiously browse the shop but even that eventually grew boring for him. Michael still stood by the cash register till a thought occurred to him, he has yet to test out his item.

Michael casually pulled the item out, it's a small, rectangle shaped black box with a screen on top and red wrist bands underneath.

Michael gave a light hum at the item while wrapping the band's around his right wrist, immediately the screen lit up with life which made Michael pause as a hologram of a dashing, blue "M" above the screen, no bigger then his fist.

"Hello" Michael raised a brow at the device now, the voice was digital and female in voice, he was fine with it, but it worried him cause it meant the device has some form of sentience about it.

"Congratulations on being the first one to ever wield the Maximus Morpher! This Morpher allows an individual to transform into Power Ranger Maximus, not only that but it allows you to access other Ranger forms. Currently you only have base forms of all of them, but the stronger and more dangerous the opponent is and through self discovery and etc etc, you can gain this more powerful forms. I hope you enjoy the Maximus Morpher and have fun!"

"Hm, colour me curious" Michael smiles, curiosity now peeked as he saw the hologram disappear and replaced with three apps on the screen, one app had a sitting green fox, the app next to it had rows of helps of previous rangers and the third and last app that was beneath the two had a phone on it. A amused smile grew in Michael, of course it had to be a modern interpretation of a Morpher, but just before he could test it he heard someone walk in.

"Hello~" Michael heard Nami sing as he looked up and saw she was walking towards him, "I hope I didn't keep you waiting"

"Nope, it was actually pleasant, hope you got the supplies you needed?" He asks with a smile that grew to curiosity when he felt her, surprisingly, warm hands touch the sides of his face.

"Yes and it's all thanks to you mwah!" Michael cheeks burned softly when he felt Nami gave a slow peck on the lips!

"..." Michael didn't know how to respond, his brain was rattled by the sudden kiss from this adult woman of the water tribe, even when she giggled at him,

"you're cute when you blush" she told him with a smile before quickly leading him out and shutting the door. It was until his brother, Jack Revolts, face came into view with a raised brow.

"You okay? You look surprised" Jack said to which Michael responded with blinking his eyes and looking back at the shop behind him then back at his brother,

"She kissed me! On the lips!" He said, his voice now a whisper, not wanting to grab the woman's attention by mistake. His brother gave him a frown, a frown looked not at all pleased,

"A woman kissed you? Did you conse- Oooooooh" his brother tone and expression then changed from one of anger and frown to amusement and amused, " you caught Nami's attention huh?" Jack asked, his tone playful and full of mirth as he started walking towards Katara's hut. Michael felt confused, why was his brother suddenly amused? Who was this Nami!? Michael rushed after him before settling in a casual walk besides him,

"Wait! Who is Nami? I thought she was just a character that was never introduced in the show" Michael said, looking at his brother, hoping he'd explain at least. But Jack merely smirks,

"Oh she definitely wasn't in the show, in fact she was in a game and you're gonna have plenty of fun with her" Jack spoke, mischief in his voice which unnerved Michael greatly just before they entered the room to see Cara alone... And bending water!

"Cara?" Michael said, unable to keep the alarm from his voice, his voice cause Cara to flinch, making the water, that had formed a perfect face of Azula, to splash on the floor before she turns with a sigh.

"Boys" she greeted simply,

"Hey" Jack greeted with a smile before sitting next to her while Michael sat to her left on the bed, "guessing you chose Avatar since I didn't see Aang or at least an adult version of him?".

Michael frowns at this, no Aang, well that's problematic and Cara being the Avatar was even more so!

"Yup" Cara smiles widely while Jack gives a chuckle which made Michael frown even further, doesn't he see the problem? Michael then, with a heavy sigh decided to speak his mind,

"Well I think this will be problematic" Michael said, his tone serious now, the two turned to him, both looking confused.

"How so?" Jack asks with a curiously raised brow while Cara frowns,

"Well for one Cara doesn't know the layout of the world, second she literally doesn't know how to bend the elements and we have summer till Sozin's comet and third and lastly and Cara we all due respect here, but you're not going to be a great Avatar, your only gonna look out for number 1, your lovers and your friends, not the world and it's peace" he explained, feeling like he was the only one that noticed this problem. He saw Cara give a pondering look while Jack gave a worried look... Before smiling?

"Then we'll help her" he says, his tone turning casual much to Michael's confusion before his turned to amusement, oh his brother, ever the optimist and pragmatic person.

"Oh? How do we do that?" Michael asked, amusement in his voice as Cara now has her curious look towards Jack,

"Well for starters we should find out what items you and I have then-"

"I got a power ranger Morpher" Michael cut in with a smirk, amused at his brother's confused expression before he nodded in acceptance.

"Okay I'll find out what item I have and then we'll figure the rest-"

"I can just go the North and learn water bending, then go to Toph to learn earth, Sun warriors for fire and air bison for air" Cara then cut in, adding further to Michael's amusement when Jack glared at her for cutting in while she smiles "innocently".

"Fine you guys go do that while I find out what item I have" Jack sighs in annoyance, clearly hating him and Cara for doing that to him while rolling his eyes then getting up,

"Cool I'm going to go talk to Katara, by the way she's crushing on you dude" Cara said casually while getting up an tapping Jack on the shoulder,

"What?" He said in confusion just as Cara headed out the door, his brother then looked at him, clearly looking to know what Cara just said, but Michael felt like a little payback was in order.

"Oh I'm sorry looking for an answer like I did?" He asks, his tone rather smug as he sat on the bed, his response made Jack frown again before heads out,

"That's right! Payback a bitch isn't it!" Michael laughed before following, only to bump into him immediately when he came out, Michael then noticed that Jack was facing a man that was warrior like in appearance and had a wolf tail at the back of his head and his clearly water tribe, Michael didn't need to guess who this was.

It was Sokka.

"Why are you three still here?" He questioned, his eyes narrow and suspicious of them,

"My the welcome is nice here" Jack spoke sarcastically, much to Michael's nervousness, before adding, "We'll leave soon, don't worry, we're just getting our feet back then we're off"

"Fine but don't get too comfortable, I'm watching" Sokka warned with a frown at both at them, Michael, feeling rather irritated, was about to retort till,

"Oh if you swung that way, why didn't you just ask?" Jack grins at him, Michael went wide eyed, Jack used his most deadliest move, pretending to be gay! Sokka went wide eyed before glaring,

"That's not what I- ugh!" Sokka growls and walks off, leaving the two alone, Michael curiously turned to his brother who gave the same look back.

"Are you sure your not gay?" He asked, but received a shrug from him and a shake of his head,

"Yes I am sure" he says casually before walking with Michael following.

"Not that I have a-"

"Michael" Jack said, his tone reverting to that of a warning tone, Michael lifted his hands in surrender,

"Okay okay, just thought you were gay that's all" he explained, trying to calm his brother down,

"Michael you saw me date women before" Jack sighs,

"Oh yeah and one of them was gay wasn't she?" Michael asks with curiosity, remembering a brunette girl,

"Beatrice, heh yeah she was very much so, wonder how she is doing these days with Alice? " Jack answered before giving a hum of ponder,

"I heard they adopted a kid and the two are getting married" Michael spoke with a smile, Jack turn with a smile,

"That's good to hear... Wait how did you-"

"We stayed in touch the three of us, they've been asking how are you" Michael cut in and Jack gave a "ah" and a nod before stopping outside the village by thirty football fields.

"This is good enough" Jack hums before pulling out a phone, Michael out of curiosity watched his brother, wondering what his device is and can do.

Jack flipped the phone open, Michael notices a frown on his brother, but he doesn't say anything, his brother was always expressive with his face and tended to be dramatic like him. Just then he heard small beeping noises with each button he pressed, it went like that for a minute till he heard a echoing, digital voice announce,

"Rider selected!" Michael jumped a bit at the voice, he saw his brother then flip the phone shut, a silver belt with a slide in buckle at the centre which Jack promptly slide the phone in.

"Year Rider: Dial!" It announced as light shimmer around Jack, blinding Michael to what's happening, making him wondering what it meant by "Year Rider" till the light faded, Michael's went wide, he finally got his answer.

In his brother place was a figure in armour, it's armour is red all over and had blue on the sides going from his armpit to his waist, connecting to the silver belt that had the phone on it. The helmet had a satellite phone like rod on the right side of its helmet, a upside down, dark blue, egg timer shaped visor stared at him while dark blue wrist and leg guards protected those parts more heavily, reasons unknown to Michael as he looked at the figure in awe.

"J-Jack?" Michael stuttered, unsure of what to do, the figure stared at him for second before a chuckle escaped, sounding very much like his brother,

"You're that pissed scared of me or unsure of what to do" Jack chuckles amusingly, Michael felt annoyance towards him now.

"So a Kamen Rider huh?" Michael hummed, crossing his arms while observing Jack looking himself over before looking to him again,

"Kamen Rider Dial to be exact, uh was there a flare in the sky?" Michael looked up at the sky at Jack's question and indeed there was a flare.

"... Come on, Cara is gonna need a lot of help" Michael sighs and presses the app that had fox sitting down and for a light to envelope him.

"Oh yeah! Let's Dial it up!" He heard his brother say in a excited tone, he noticed the pun but he admits it wasn't the worst one he could've gone for. The light then fades as Michael then looks himself over, he had a mix of a green and silver body suit with white gloves and boots, a white vicious looking fox face symbol on his chest and a silver fox with nine tails that had the gun barrel coming out of its mouth, Michael then looked at his brother to see through his visit that he's helmet was green and fox shaped with a almost triangle shaped black visor thanks to the mouth shape of the fox shaped helmet.

"It would most likely be a few minutes before that ship arrives, let's make them feel welcomed with a party" Michael asked his brother, feeling somewhat smug of his new found powers.

"Ah the power ranger witty humor, suits you well brother" Jack laughed while grabbing his shoulder while Michael smiles under the helmet,

"If you two are done i could really use that help" Michael heard another voice that sounded equally as amused ahead of them, Michael turns and sees Cara who's smiling at them, how long she stood there he has no idea, but frankly, he didn't give a damn.

"Yeah, let's go!" Michael said, his voice steely with determination, Cara gave a nod an runs ahead of them, Michael followed quickly, knowing well Jack was following quickly behind him.

"Yo Michael wanna try different forms to fight them instead, I got a couple of ideas of which forms i wanna use" Michael heard Jack call back, a smirk forms on him,

"You just read my mind".

So begins the epic tale of our heroes, will they succeed in saving this world and escaping Maximillian, well let's find out in the next few chapters.
