She opened her eyes again, releasing them from the narrow slit they had been held in for some time. Their previous rage was now replaced by a gaze filled with calm and focus.
——'This is better, Raven,' the voice in her head said. the voice was firm but gentle. 'Never let your anger control you – remember what your late friend Tim Grayson taught you? That strength lies in mastering yourself and finding balance within.'
Raven nodded to herself in agreement as Her anger subdued by the strength of will that had taken over her being mere moments ago. There was an aura to her now; A calmness which settled around like an armor protecting her against any turmoil that may come again.
——Thank you, Tim. Even after your death, your indelible presence is still felt in my life. Despite not being able to benefit from direct lessons of yours anymore.
Raven thought with a smile to herself, promising herself that when this was all done and over, she would visit his grave and bring him many flowers. The thought gave her a strength which wiped away the last remnant of anger in her eyes; and instead of gloom - they now held only white light energy as she turned them towards the veiled figure.
"I think that words proved to be useless to interact with you, so I might as well use other means to convey my point" she posed as she derw a deep breath before intoning a mysterious phrase "Azarath Metrion Zinthos!"
...!?
Suddenly, the veiled woman surged into the air like a specter. She was all rage and she seemed to be reaching out in vain as her body floated above the slumbering boy with no visible source of propulsion.
"It's just the price of underestimating me witch".
Raven watched with amusement as the veiled women writhed and kicked; her screams were muffled by raven's magical power that held her captive, yet it seemed that Her hands clawed at nothingness while her feet twisted around an unseen chain - attempting to free herself, But...
"There is no point in all of that." Raven said, her voice low with an edge of seriousness that bit into the silence. She shook her head slowly, as if to underscore how futile it was to carry on any further in what she was doing now. "Just stop and surrender; it will be easier." She paused for a moment before continuing, "And even if you wanted to speak, your voice will never leave that veil." Another pause followed before she finished with a tone of finality "Anyway...it is too late for the talking solution – especially after everything you put me through."
" _ "!
And Unexpectedly, the woman had stilled her frenetic movements and was now suspended in midair. Her body remained tense but no longer thrashed around nor sought to escape Raven's grasp.
" _ "
Her face still concealed by her veil, she stared intently down at the slumbering boy as if considering him for some untold purpose Completely disregarding Raven's presence.
"What an odd fellow".
Raven, on the other hand, wasn't bothered by the idea of being ignored, on the contrary...she became more curious about the veiled woman and what's going on inside her head.
——It doesn't matter, I'll find out everything that's going on in her head in a few moments.
Raven thought with a sharp smirk as she raised her hand and pointed it towards the veiled woman.
"Wel—!.
Rumble!.
Raven opened her mouth, ready to speak, but before the words left her lips an ominous rumble reverberated through the darkness. Startled by the noise, she jerked backwards and felt a sudden movement all around her ... then.
"I think I should have expected that...but even then it's not a problem"
Raven stood tall, her expression serious but her tone was relaxed.
Rumble!.
A hundred hands of darkness, each hundreds of meters long circled around her. She spoke in a loud clear voice that seemed to echo off the surroundings."It seems that hands are less then before ... I wonder why is that!?" The hands swirled faster and faster as they awaited for an opening or an order, creating a dark and eerie whirlpool around Raven's figure.
"well witch aren't you attacking yet ?"
RUMBLE!.
Suddenly The hundreds of hands made of darkness seethed and churned as if in a fitful rage, grasping at the nonexistent air around the tiny figure of Raven. It seemed as if they were angered by her mocking words; as they suddenly quieted their tempestuous movement.
HOWL!.
In the same instant, all those ethereal hooks and claws lunged towards raven with cruel ferocity - each seeking to snatch or strangle her. Their furious intent was clear – crush this insolent intruder who thought to defy their master!.
And Raven's reaction to this was...
"Oh boy!, those hands seems more eager to play than before ... anyhow " Raven said as she raised her hands, palms outstretched in a gesture of power and breathed the words of an ancient spell "Azarath Metrion Zinthos!".
WHOOSH!.
A gust of wind whipped around the darkness and Raven felt as if crystals were forming in front of her, each fragment snaking its way through her hands then towards a certain point.
CRACK!.
Suddenly, like an abyss opening before her eyes, there was a darkness pressing against reality itself. It was immense - darker than night or shadows or empty space – and it swarmed with potential energy that radiated outward from its infinite depths in all directions; a portal or rather a dimensional black hole.
"Go and play with my father instead. I'm sure he'll appreciate the company!."
As she said that, the black hole suddenly began to create a magnetism of awe-inspiring power. Its gravitational pull was getting stronger by the second.
Rumble!.
And As to be expected from a black hole, all the hands made of darkness began to rush and pile into it, in an unstoppable torrent. It's even horrifying to watch as the appendages of darkness was pulled against their will or their master's towards this monstrosity, its centripetal force growing stronger moment by inexorable moment.
ha--ʊl!.
Faint howl's were heard as the hands disappeared within its maw, drawn ever deeper into oblivion at terrifying speed.
RUMBLE!.
Until finally it closed with a thunderous roar that shook the darkness around them.
And so after that. Comes silence hanging in the air like a dense fog, for a few moments, before...
"Well, all I can say is that you thought you were powerful… But now look at you there," Raven said mockingly as she crossed her arms. "Floating in the air like a deflated balloon? And now you finally are alone, That won't do!" The witch glared down from her magical suspension in mid-air her lips are moving as if trying to say something.
" _ "!
But no matter what she did or said, the spell rendered her helplessly mute and weak it was clear that she would remain suspended until raven decides otherwise.
Raven doesn't need to break her diaphragm to know what the witch is saying just Through her lip movements she understood.
"I wonder if your words of love for him are more than just syllables on a breath, for it seems the only thing you know how to do is tend to whisper I love you ... or Is there something else ?"
Raven stared indifferently at the witch, as she posed her question.
" _ "
"Yeah, I thought so," Raven said, rolling her eyes before stretching out her arm. " now Come here!," she commanded the hovering witch with a wave of her hand. The Witch began to move towards Raven unwilling, like a moth drawn by flame.
"Stop".
In command she halted directly in front of Raven who shot a glance at the witch before declaring with confidence: " I hope you are ready for what's gonna happen to you next, because this time I won't let you a single chance to play me as a fool like you did before".
" _ "!
Raven's outstretched hand hovered in the air a short distance away from the witch's face. Who in turn kept muttering her phrases of love, seemingly ignoring Raven's presence.
and upon contact with her unnaturally cold skin, Raven said softly but sternly "Go Sleep!".
" _ "
At that same moment, as if a switch had been flipped inside the witch head, the hidden behind a veil furrowed lines on her brow relaxed and melted away – her eyes glazed over and fogged with sleep like two shuttered windows at a twilight sky. Her body became limp — Her head fell forward, into oblivion from within; magically falling into a deep slumber at Raven's behest.
Sigh!.
Raven waved her hand with a light sigh of relief as she watched the witch fall asleep from her spell.
swish!.
And With another wave of her hand, the invisible forces that had been suspending the witch in midair dissipated and she landed softly on the dark ground beneath them.
" Okay then "Then Raven moved closer to the sleeping witch, her gaze intense and focused. She placed both hands on either side of the witch's head, leaned down and whispered in a low voice: "Foreshadow."
Sparkle!.
The air around them crackled with energy as Raven had just released a storm of sparks that she now controlled. Her hands warmed against the cold skin of the sleeping witch's forehead.
Sparkle!.
they seemed almost alive beneath her fingertips as she sent out shards of light into every orifices of the witch's head, seeking out things unseen yet waiting to be revealed – secrets hidden from sight but ready for discovery at any moment.
Huff!.
Then Taking a deep useless breath, suddenly she pressed her palms this, time firmly against the sides of the witche's skull and then...
"I can see everything".
The dark realm seemed to quiver with energy as her mesmerizing glowing eyes looked into the unknown depths within the witch.
.
.
.
.
.
.
After a few moments passed.
——Things are starting to make sense now. Crazy, stupid, scary, awful sense ... but nonetheless It is as it is.
With that thought, Raven slowly withdrew from the witch's mind. The soft glow of magic surrounding them grew faint and began to wane until it had completely faded away. The Intense light in her purple eyes dimmed as well, eventually vanishing, now replaced by an unmistakable look of sadness. Mixed with pity and understanding in the depths of her gaze as she stared down at the sleeping figure of the witch laying before her, then...
"It seems that we two are not so different after all," she said gently.
She reached out and touched the head of the sleeping witch before her, removing the veil from her face to reveal, a beautiful and peaceful expression beneath it.
" _ "
Raven continued in an even gentler tone: "You and I have a very strong demons within us - though you could be tempted by them more easily than me for one simple reason: you didn't have any friends ... or at least real ones. who could stand beside you and lift your spirits and help you carry your burden when they seemed too heavy to bear or continue alone ... Isn't that right satella?"
Raven felt a deep connection to Satella. She understood the darkness and heaviness that dwelled in her heart; the chains of fear and suffering, and both bonded to inner monsters they had to fight so hard against all their lives.
It was like looking at a mirror of herself – one shared by the two of them, as they carried within themselves identical fears, sadnesses and sorrows, but...
"I already won."
That's right Raven had won she had persevered her self against her inner demons, having fought them for many years and in the end she won. And even more – her father who attempts to dominate and control her, Raven had defeated him too. And Now she becomes stronger, she got an absolute power over herself and there is no one to suppress or belittle what she could do.
"But I wasn't alone "
Indeed raven never was alone because her strength will, determination, and peace, comes from those around her – her family and her friends who she trusted and trusted her In return, they also provided her with love and support during her darkest times; it was this love that ultimately gave Raven the courage to defeat all those impossible obstacles in her life.
"But Unlike me, you had no warm embrace of friends to console and support you; no family in whom to confide. Instead, you only got yourself and a really wicked devil of sin Inside you".
Raven felt a heavy weight of sorrow in her heart. She thought of satella, who had been forced to carry the devil of sin within her even though she did not choose or ask for.
And it's The same power which brought the destruction and death to half her world and took away millions of lives without her control.
"it is more than anyone should ever have to suffer through ... am really sorry"
Raven sighed sadly and took her hand off satella's head. She really wished there was anything she could do but...
"She is just an avatar," she said, looking defeated, voice tinged with a hint of sadness, "A representation of the real them both... Besides." She trailed off and paused for a moment as she looked at the gate and then down at the boy peacefully slumbering beside it, before continuing in an almost urgent tone. "I'm running out of time."
With that said Raven rose from her crouched position with a graceful ease. Despite the hurricane of emotions swirling within her, she still clasped onto a measure of assurance as she moved slowly across the darkness passed subaru.
Then She paused to glance at subaru then at satela who is still sleeping peacefully on the dark ground before turning towards the gate where she placed her feet and spoke softly yet firmly, "In time We will meet again Natsuki Subaru and satela " as a small smile tipped up her lips in certainty and crossed through gate towards her final mission.
[Present time the hall of justice meeting's table].
"And in the end, when I finished my mission," she said quietly, "the Rock of Eternity brought me back here – and that concludes everything that happened there." She closed her eyes for a moment as if willing away any thoughts or visions still lingering in her mind.
Then she opened them again and forced a small smile Her gaze went up to look at each one of them before adding "That concludes it all"
Raven's voice thought quiet seemed to echo throughout the all over the hall as she concluded her tale.
Then she looked at the faces of her companions, waiting for any reaction, and indeed each of them had a thoughtful expression of their own, but no expression of surprise at what she had gone through, and of course that's gonna be the case because this was not the first nor gonna be the last time Raven had gone to another dimension or another world, and of course not to forget that each of them also had their fare share of this kind of adventures.
——But I'm sure their reaction would be different if I told them about the trap that Satella put me into or the boys another ability.
Raven shook her head in an attempt to erase the horrific thought from her head.
"To think that shazam Already found a place containing kryptonite and he didn't even considered contacting us first" Barry said suddenly cutting the silence as He shook his head in disbelief. "And here I am, being told I'm incompetent as a hero".
"Actually I think not contracting us and telling us that he found the kryptonite was a good move on his part," batman responded as he leaned back in his chair, thoughtfully tapping a finger against his chin then, lifting up his eyes to capture each of their gazes in turn.
Huff!.
Then He let out a deep breath as if pondering the situation before leaning forward again now his voice was an icy warning as he spoke" because there is a real risk that our enemies will know." He paused and let that sink in before continuing. "We cannot take such a chance without considering every consequence carefully".
Raven nodded in agreement with his logic, and as she did so an invisible energy seemed to swirl around them. An invisible protective bubble she formed around the room, filtering out sound until none could escape its confines.
"Yes, Flash. We really can't risk the enemy to know. As this proves the point of the meeting here - as it's safer."
"I understand " responded Barry with shrugged of his shoulders.
"Wow, Raven," suddenly Starfire exclaimed excitedly beside raven, "We finally have a chance to win this war. I really feel very hopeful now...thank you for your hard work!" With that she threw herself at Raven for an enthusiastic hug.
"Yeah" Raven smiled warmly, wrapping her arms around Starfire in a tight embrace. "me too," she said with conviction. "I have high hopes for that mission." She pat her friend on the back softly and released the hug.
"I think this is an excellent news," Kimberly said from across the table, as she nodded towards Raven. "Well done."
Raven accepted the praise gracefully, smiling in return to Kimberly before replying with a slight nod of her head.
"I appreciate that," she said warmly. "Thank you, Kimberly."
Diana smiled, looking proud. "Yes, I also think you did a good job Raven," she said in a gentle but firm voice."But still" suddenly Diana's expression quickly changed to one of worry and concern as she continued speaking. " I wonder if the Subaru boy you mentioned can actually finish the mission in time." Her eyebrows furrowed as she crossed her arms over her chest, fixing Raven with an expectant stare.
Hearing her words, Raven's gaze darkened and she fell into deep thought.
To be honest raven also harbored doubts about the boy's ability to complete the mission that was given to him at first, but seeing his memories in the Shared souls Field gave her a new appreciation for his strength of will.
——Despite all he had gone through - even though it would have been so easy to give up - he kept fighting on, determined to see things through until the very end.
That was why Raven no longer doubted him; that was why at last she understood what could make someone so strong-willed as him be choosen by the rock of eternity.
With a slight smile, Raven turned to Diana and said, "Don't worry. The boy has what it takes to make this mission successful – I know."
"Oh!" Diana gave her a surprised look before narrowing her eyes suspiciously and asking, "You seem very confident in him… even though everything you told us about him seems so contrary? Is there something that makes you think he can do this? Something with the quality of someone capable of accomplishing such an important mission?"
"Yes, from what I saw in his memories, subaru does not lack willpower or courage. He is the type who would risk his life for the sake of others" 'like literally' she kept the last part for herself since she cannot reveal any other details about Subaru and his ability return from death.
——those secrets belong to him and Satella alone and I have no right to go and spread them.
With that thought raven gazed around the room at each of them looking at her, she continued assuredly: "So I believe in his ability to complete his mission."
Diana drummed her fingers on the table. "What do you think about what Raven said flash ?"
"I cannot disagree. Kimberly ?."
Kimberly sighed and shook her head. "I suppose I don't have a choice in the matter, but I do trust Raven's opinion," she said with a shrug before turning her gaze to Starfire, "What about you, Star?"
Starfire's shoulders rolled up in a careless shrug as she declared voice airy and light, carefree and unconcerned."No problem here."
Raven's heart swelled with pride as she saw that everyone around her agreed with her opinion of Subaru. She could feel the trust from them all.
——I just hope that subaru would be able to live up to our expectations.
With that thought, Raven let out a light sigh.
"So Batman," Raven stared at Batman, her eyes full of curiosity and Her head tilted slightly in expectation as she asked the question, with her voice gentle but inquisitive, "you didn't offer your opinion on the matter—what do you think?"
The room suddenly seemed to grow silent despite the other conversations that continued around them. Every eye turned towards Batman with eager interest as he contemplated his response.
Sigh!.
"I just hope that kid doesn't screw it up," he said in measured tones. "Otherwise I'll trust your opinion." Batman fixed a cool gaze on raven, then gave a slight nod.
Raven smiled warmly, her dark purple eyes twinkling in the light. "Don't worry," she said reassuringly. "Your hope, and our hope, will never be disappointed." She paused for a moment before continuing with a smile on her lips.
"The boy has It in him and am sure he will succeeded."
There was an air of conviction to her words which this time seemed to chase away any lingering doubts or worries they had been carrying around up until that point.
"Well, I think that about wraps up our meeting. Before we go our separate ways though; does anyone have anything they'd like to report?" His voice was low but firm, commanding everyone's attention. He waited for a moment with an expectant look on his face as he assessed the room and its occupants in one unblinking glance, then...
"I have a report — but I am sure y'all won't like what I have to tell ya!."
Suddenly a new voice spoke, playful colorful and clear yet lacking any trace of human air.
Everyone's gaze shifted to the teleportation device standing nearby was a man, with long, messy black hair that hung in matted clumps around his neck. His skin was a strange shade of gray. He wore clothes that were ripped and shredded as if he'd just come from battle; yet despite this destruction there seemed to be something about him that radiated strength and health - like a metal singer on steroids smiling devilishly with heavy eyeliner framing around his bright red eyes.
"Lobo!" Batman rose to his feet, eyes narrowed as he scrutinized the new comer " what kind of report? And where is blue beetle!?"
All eyes in the room shifted to Lobo, and Raven felt an icy chill run through her veins. As She had a feeling that whatever he was about to say was going to be bad news for sure.
And indeed as His next words only seemed confirm this.
"Oh well I think there is no way around it." Lobo lit his cigarette and exhaled a stream of smoke, as he declared in the gloom. "We lost Thanagar, and the blue kid was captured ," He let out a weary sigh and drew again on his cigarette.
"No way!" Raven's mouth fell open in shock as she heard the news. She was not alone in her surprise
Thud!.
"Damn it!! " Diana on the other hand hissed through gritted teeth as she slammed her fist onto the table out of frustration.
"This is not possible," the flash breathed in disbelief. As he shook his head with incredulity, unable to comprehend what he had just heard.
" _ "!
Kimberly's helmeted head shifted away and she was silent, Even though no words escaped from her mouth, it was clear she shared in their sorrow for this terrible news.
Thanagar is a hardy planet, having been shaped by its turbulent past and was well known for its mineral deposits of Nth Metal. It is the home of the heroic hawk-like people, the Thanagarians, who have learned to fight their way out from several attempts at invasions. Those same struggles gave birth to many other indigenous races such as Lizarkons which now coexist in a greatly divided society with their brave hosts. The power of this world lies not only in its ability to survive but also thrive despite all odds.
But Despite the strength of their civilization, this planet was doomed from the start of this war. As The invaders this time was Kryptonians and unlike any enemy they ever faced before: the Kryptonians is a fierce and relentless monsters that can be almost invincible under the yellow sun's light.
And it's just happened that Thanagar sun is a perfect yellow.
"Tell me what exactly happened?" Batman's voice was low and demanding, like the distant rumble of thunder. And His piercing gaze seemed to ask for a response that would not be denied or argued with.
"Well "Lobo took his cigarette from his mouth and smiled ferociously as he started to speak.
[ Six hours ago in the great capital of Hawkmen City on the planet Thanagar ].
An armored man with majestic wings on his back surveyed the scene before him, eyes searching the sky where hundreds of ships hovered in preparation for attack. His voice was strong and grave as he turned to the boy standing beside him.
"I think it's the end for us son," he said solemnly, "but it was an honor fighting alongside you." He paused a moment before continuing.
"It may be the end for this generation but not necessarily for those that come after us - please help evacuate our children and women to safety through teleportation device ... and please take care of my daughter and my wife".
"What!? "The boy's face was filled with disbelief as he asked the Hawkman, "Are you telling me to run away and leave you all to fight without me!?" He looked at him desperately through his magical blue mask, pleading for permission. "How can I face Alexandria or even her majesty your wife!?," he asked, grinding his teeth together in frustration.
"Please let me join this fight with you - you know it and I and everyone one else here know that I am stronger than any one of your most elite warriors - so wh–
"ENOUGH!"
Suddenly The Hawkman's voiced out loud his voice pierced the air with sudden sharpness, cutting off the boy's plea.
Every soldier around them flinched and drew back as if expecting a blow; all of them were lizardmen and Hawkmen, interspersed by those of other species.
But to their relief no blow come as the Hawkman with his gaze warm directed into the wavering eyes of the boy before him, he gently grasped both his shoulders as he spoke softly but firmly: " Listen, my son - I am not asking you to run away from this fight but rather I am entrusting you with an even greater task which is--to protect my family, I'm entrusting you with my family - my daughter - and our entire species! Please accept this last wish from this old man - and please go!"
Gulp!.
The boy swallowed hard hearing the Hawkman reasoning, now searching for words that would make the Hawkman let him join in on the battle, and when he finally found the words he opened his mouth, ready to plead his case.
"Bu-
CRASH!.
but before he could begin a thunderous boom echoed from beyond the walls of the city and shook the earth beneath their feet. He watched as Hawkman's eyes narrowed in as they both felt the ground shift beneath them.
"It seems that our waiting is over," said the Hawkman in a low voice, fixating his gaze on the boy and offering him a gentle smile. "I'm counting on you, son. Please be careful and take care." With those words, he suddenly unfurled his majestic wings with an echoing whisper of bird feathers before taking off into the air accompanied by thousands of his army of Hawkmen.
EULALIAAAA!!!!!!!!!!
soaring behind him with their deafening battle cry filling up the sky.
The Lizard King stood atop a nearby Skyscraper and gazed upon the multitude gathered below him. He held aloft two glowing swords, their curved blades shining brightly in the light of day.
"LET'S GO, LIZARDS!"
he shouted over the din of battle drums and cheers from his loyal subjects. "LET US SHOW THOSE KRYPTONIANS WHAT WE ARE CAPABLE OF! SURRAAH!"
"SURRAH FOR OUR KING —FOR OUR KINGDOM! WE FIGHT FOR OUR LAND AND FAMILY!!!"A thunderous roar rose up from his thousands-strong army as they responded to his battle cry with a unified chant
Those soldier proudly held their laser guns towards the sky, fueled by an electrifying sense of pride and strength.
"NOW LETS GO!!!!" The lizard king declared.
And with that Like a draco gliding from a tree using it's membranes, they all moved deftly forward in unison following behind the lizard king who in turn followed the Hawkmen who led them efficiently onto the battlefield.
Uukhai!!!!!!.
Uurah!!!!!!
Currahee!!!!!!
Following the lizardmen closely a warriors from a hundred races, creatures of all shapes and sizes now United marching to the battlefield. They carried weapons as different as they were: swords, spears, guns. All overcame their differences in that moment; some ran on two legs while others raced on four limbs or flew or jumped through the air. As Every last one of them shouted their own unique cries for battle: Roars and howls from Lion-men and werewolves alike mingled with shouts in foreign languages. The three armies seemed anything but united—each race outnumbered by the next—but still they moved together towards the battleground with a common purpose wishe is protecting their mother planet from Invasion.
" Fragg it They all seem eager to fight. I kinda respect that ... anyway now it's not time to mope around; you heard the king—we have no time to waste! You and me are their last hope, Blue Boy!"
Startled by the sudden interruption of his gloomy thoughts, Blue boy turned towards the colorful voice owner.
"How many times do I have to tell you, my title is Blue Beetle, not Blue Boy?" sighed Blue Beetle dejectedly, trying to turn his mind away from the war raging on without him and what he should say to his wife Alexandria or mother-in-law.
He closed his eyes in an attempt to resist the urge to just fly to the battlefield.
Hm!?
Suddenly Lobo placed his large hand on Blue Beetle's shoulder and said, "Don't worry blue boy. Those people are ready to die because they trust you." His words held a reassuring certainty as if he had read the fear in Blue Beetle's heart and knew what he was feeling. He added with a gruff voice, "Why do you think they didn't even address me when for help even though I am stronger than ya? So stop moping like a child and let's go, blue boy." With that statement of encouragement he gave Blue Beetle an encouraging shove forward which almost caused him to lose balance.
Huff!.
Blue Beetle took a deep breath and gathered his courage to confront the situation he was facing. He slowly raised his head and looked ahead at the large castle where all children and wemon are.
——He is right--if the king entrusts me with his family and the entire species of this planet, then I will do everything within my power to honor that trust.
With a deep breath, Blue Beetle announced that it was time to go. He stood tall and unfolded his suit wings magically, whilst Lobo stepped closer for the take off.
"Alright, Lobo! Hold on tight!" His voice set in motion a chain of events as he felt the firm grip of calloused hands latch securely onto his shoulders.
Chang!.
Suddenly an aura of blue brilliance surrounded them both as the small jet engine on Blue Beetle's back activated suddenly. roared into life from behind them - propelling them forward - launching them into flight toward the castle with an Amazing speed.
Lobo moved across the hall inside the royal castle, navigating their way amongst a sea of hibernation pods, each filled with people of different races in suspended animation. He stopped near a large door and motioned to blue beetle standing besides him.
"Alright Blue Boy," he said loudly "I will start entering the operating codes for the teleportation machine while YOU guard these hibernation pods from any potential attacks- is that Okay with ya?" His voice echoed through the vast chamber and it seemed as if every capsule contained within heard his call.
Hundreds of thousands of small eyes remained shut whilst they slept.
Blue beetle nodded.
"Alright, Lobo," said Blue Beetle. "Do what you have to do, and I will do my best here. Don't worry."
In response Lobo's lips curled into a mischievous grin. His laughter echoed in the hall as he responded with an affirmative, "Yeah! Be sure I will!"
With that said he swiped his electronic key card against a door-lock panel and its name tag read 'Computer Room'. With a click, the door opened to reveal darkness inside.
Then He confidently stepped in and almost immediately after crossing the threshold it closed behind him soundly - leaving only muffled sounds of his echoing laughter within.
"Alright Khaji Da, are you ready for this?"
Blue Beetle's voice suddenly shifted, turning serious as he spoke.
——Positive - Khaji Da is ready.
Blue Beetle approvingly smiled before his face settled into concentration once again and he commanded: "Well then start strengthening the sensors and senses and power up the suit to maximum power."
——As you wish.
Hk!.
Blue Beetle shuddered as he felt the familiar tingling sensation in his spine. then the blue armor that blanketed his body began to morph and take shape. An intricate latticework of robotic wings emerged from two engines in either side of his back with a slight bulge between them. His mask changed too, the insectoid-like features becoming more precise and detailed, highlighted by two bright yellow eyes that glowed like beacons against a deep inky black background.
" well-defined and perfectly symmetrical excellent work Khaji Da! " Blue Beetle said in a metallic voice as he inspected the improvements to his suit with satisfaction.
——As long as the host is happy with the results, Khaji Da will continue to do his best.
"Alright time to do my job".
Suddenly blue beetle began flying through the halls of the castle, dutifully checking each door and window along his way. He paused for a moment at each one, nodding his head in silent agreement with Khaji Da inside his suit as he went.
His bright yellow eyes scanned every corner while his sensors beeped to detect any hint of breezes or drafts that may have signaled openings somewhere within its walls.
"Alright everything is good here, now let's check out the pods"
Satisfied that all was secure, he zipped away toward the great hall where the pods are.
mm-hmm!.
Blue Beetle hummed quietly as he moved along the big and spacious, vaulted hall of the sleeping capsules. He ran a security check on each capsule, his sensors searching for any anomalies or irregularities.
He also screened hundreds of thousands of vitals from inside the capsules; pulses were measured and vital signs monitored and recorded to ensure that all was functioning as normal within each one. As he continued down his route, those same readings were displayed across a large screen installed in every capsule so that their occupants could be kept abreast of their own health status during sleep.
Beep!.
After a few minutes the cycle was complete as all the screens on the capsules lit up with blue lights as a finalize sign that everything had been verified checked safe for use.
"Now that's concludes everything that had to be done in this corner," he said in his metallic voice, He paused for a moment as he glanced around the hall, until his gaze settled on two capsules nestled inside a cage of golden glass. directing a piercing gaze towards them. He continuing: "now Only two capsules left and we done."
With that said Blue Beetle flew like a blue ray of light across the hall towards the golden cage, and in an instant he was standing right before it. He could feel the sparks of energy emanating from its transparent exterior.
This golden cage may look fragile but its actually a horribly rare artifact, and it was crafted from the purest Nth metal found in all history and it could withstand even the strongest of blows from seemingly invincible beings. Rumor had it that even a hand as powerful as Superman's wouldn't have any chance of breaking through its golden–hard walls.
And as most of the royal artifacts, This golden cage can be opened in only two ways, the first is by a voice command from the king himself no one else but him, and the second way to open the golden cage is by...
"Khaji Da," blue beetle said softly, addressing the artificial intelligence residing in his armoured suit. "Open this door please."
——right away.
It responded without delay.
Hum!.
There was quiet hum as the transparent golden doors peeled apart to grant him entry; and as soon as he crossed over its threshold, it closed again soundlessly behind him.
Once inside he immediately set his eye to examining the two capsules housing the most important people of all, the queen and her daughter Alexandria.
The two women were nearly identical in appearance, though one was obviously much older than the other.
Beep!!.
"Alright I think that's all of it! "
After he had made sure that all looked well with them, blue beetle took a step back and allowed himself to simply look at them with sadness laced his eyes – here was his mother in law and his wife tucked away safely within this unlikely vessel helplessly with him, Lobo and this ... golden cage as the last line of defense, if anything happened to the king's and their armies that is.
——There is a breach in the castle. It's a Kryptonian and he's inside now.
Khaji Da suddenly spoke, its growling voice from within the suit cutting through blue beetle light contemplation, then responding quickly, immediately on alert. "How far away is he from us!?"
A few seconds passed before Khaji Da responded gravely——he is right in front of the door of the; golden cage behind us.
Shang!.
As soon as he heard that, Blue Beetle quickly turned towards the transparent door with his hand cannon ready.
"Damn it!"
He cursed under his breath as, he saw a man clad in white and black. The mysterious intruder wore an outfit molded to his body like a second skin - its tight-fitting black suit only interrupted by the letter "K" emblazoned on his chest with white.
" _ "
He stared impassively inside directly at Blue Beetle from beyond the clear barrier of golden glass; seemingly examining him from afar without any visible emotion or intent.
"Khaji Da! Please tell me, how did this Kryptonian get to here without you knowing? NO forget that!. First, tell me - can he see us from behind the glass!?"
He spoke in low tones and waited for the artificial intelligence within his suit armor to answer.
After a few moments of contemplation, it replied: ——Negative. He cannot see nor hear us from there; and as per your first question – why did our sensors fail to sense that intruder? It appears that due to the nature of his suit emanating some sort of blocking signal, the sensors were unable to detect him.
He pointed out that eerily logical conclusion with clinical detachment and then waited patiently for further instruction from Blue Beetle.
Blue beetle nodded thoughtfully before replying. "terrifying … he must be well-equipped for sneaking around unnoticed. " ——Even though it dosen't appear like it's the case. Thought blue beetle before he continued tensely " We should definitely be careful with him once we exit this pl–
Blue Beetle cut himself off mid-sentence as he noticed the Kryptonians gaze had shifted from him to the center of the hall.
"Oh!"
Blue beetle watched curiously, narrowing his eyes as he saw how the Kryptonian eyes lit up when they alighted on...
"SHIT!" blue beetle cursed under his breath.
"Well well look at that! I was wondering where all the citizens went" the Kryptonian let out a low whistle and said,"- looks like they were right here." His wicked smile widened as if savoring a private joke before continuing, "This is gonna be easy."
Blue Beetle watched as the Kryptonian spoke, his words were like a cannon shot in the quiet.
" _ "...
Then suddenly he felt as if he was looking at everything through a different lens – his vision slowed but sharpened and he could take in every detail of what was happening: The Kryptonian hands clenching into fists then unclenching muscles stiffening, eyes flashing with determination and sinister glee, The Kryptonian literally assumed a stance of cataclysmic might.
KRABOOM!.
And In an explosive flash he launched forward, his feet pounding the floor with superhuman speed as he darted toward the hall where all the hibernation capsules are.
"Shit!".
And at that moment Blue Beetle's mind cleared and turned feverishly to find an answer—— some way to stop this Kryptonian before anything else happened. As time seemed to distort around him.
Ah!
He decided on a plan a very simple and traditional plan. He opened his mouth to call out to Khaji Da, but before he could speak the artificial intelligence voice spoke from inside his suit.
——If that is your decision, then Khaji Da strongly insists that you take the fight outside the castle. commanded Khaji Da.
At that, Blue Beetle smiled confidently, but with some signs of nervousness and said.
"...Yes, this is a good suggestion, Khaji Da... Thanks I guess, now open the door please"

A/N.
Well Guys I was intending for this to be the last chapter before going back to lugunica, but I had to cut it short here since the chapter was too long , but rest assured the chapter after this one will be the last before we go back to Subaru's pov.
But trust me this story had a planed plot to it and besides that, when making a crossover you always should give both the world's a chance to shine and that's what's am doing here, besides I couldn't make subaru op without a challenges up ahead.
Otherwise I would just make him a werewolf instead.
