Panem Events
The Capitol had mostly positive views on last year's Games. They were almost too long but the Arena was fascinating and tourism to the Arena was in high demand as Capitolites wanted to explore all of the hidden places of the cave system. Many people favored Levi and his kind nature although a lot of people were rooting for the young Mackenzie or the Career-strength of Cidavia. District Eleven was ecstatic to gain it's third Victor, especially since it's previous Victor, Isaiah Harlowe, had only won four years prior. District Eleven now had more Victors than any other District. As expected this angered the Career Districts. The Districts approved of Levi as even District Three thought his kind last words to Mackenzie were endearing.
As for this year, Head Gamemaker Julius Falco did not want the Games to last nearly as long. He released an audio clip of rainforest sounds for propaganda for the Games which left little to the imagination for the Capitol audience. President Marcellus was happy with the Games and without any large uprising in the Districts for almost three years he claimed the start of a Golden Age in Panem. He started to relax the strict quotas in Districts and promised more liberalism to the Districts if they continued to cooperate. This raised some eyebrows from his advisors as their political party, Alpha Aurea, was built on tightening District oppression.
The Career tributes for this year's Games were almost subpar. Topaz of One was the youngest at fifteen and only scored a seven in training. He claimed that he was nervous during his session and this caused him to falter. The other Careers still allowed him to be apart of the alliance because many of the Careers only scored eights. The only eighteen year old in the Careers was Juno of Two who only scored an eight. The only positive standouts in the Careers were Roman of Two who scored a ten and Diamond of One whose personality and leadership skills made her popular in the Capitol and the alliance itself. With a weak Career pack, more focus was on the stronger outlier tributes. Tito of Twelve and Asper of Eleven both scored sevens and were allied together. They were approached by the Career alliance but they declined their offer. Another standout was William of Eight, a twelve-year-old who volunteered because he recently discovered that he has a fatal heart defect which his family is too poor to treat. There are few alliances outside of the Careers in this year's Games the only ones being the District Three pair, Asper of Eleven and Tito of Twelve, and then Erica and Tuner of Five, Heron of Seven and Trudy of Eight.

Day One
The tributes rise up into a small clearing containing the Cornucopia surrounded by thick rainforest. Low clouds make an overcast sky and raucous wildlife calls radiate from the dark jungle. The arena is fairly small this year; it's about ten miles wide and mostly flat. The thick jungle offers many places for tributes to hide. The rainforest contains all sorts of wildlife although most of them being elusive and not dangerous. Multiple small streams flow throughout the arena and multiple exotic fruits provide food for tributes. The tributes wear grey tanktops with a khaki waterproof jacket with their district emblem on the right sleeve. They also wear denim jeans with hiking boots. Not wanting to be defenseless for the dangers that await inside the jungle most tributes plan to race into the Bloodbath. The only tribute who flees is Yew of Seven who plans to survive off her edible plant knowledge and hide for the Games. As the gong rings the other twenty-three tributes race towards the Cornucopia.
Juno reaches the Cornucopia first and immediately grabs a belt of throwing knives. She turns around and spots a tribute running towards the horn. Juno takes careful aim and throws her knife straight into the girl's chest and she falls forward and tumbles onto the ground with a scream.
24. Erica Watkins, 15, D5- knife thrown into chest by Juno Riscardo, D2
The tall and long-legged Colt reaches the Cornucopia and rapidly grabs a sword and a pack before fleeing. As he is running away he spots the young William kneeling down to grab a loaf a bread. Colt rapidly stabs his sword twice into William's chest before darting into the rainforest.
23. William Quintero, 12, D8- stabbed in the chest by Colt Manitoba, D10
Ginny races to the backside of the Cornucopia with two packs in her hands. Hanna spots Ginny running away and throws a knife in her direction. The knife embeds itself into Ginny's calf and she falls to the ground. Hanna races over and pounces onto Ginny pinning her to the ground. Hanna takes out another knife and slashes it across Ginny's chest before leaping to her feet in search of another tribute.
22. Ginny Glover, 16, D9- chest slashed by Hanna Perez, D4
Heron sprints across the clearing searching for his allies. He sees Erica dead on the ground with a knife in her chest. The sight of her lying motionless stops Heron in his tracks. Movement catches his eye and he sees Orizon sprinting towards him with a hatchet in his hand. Heron easily uses his spear to stab into Orizon's abdomen. Orizon tries to swing out with his hatchet but Heron's reach is too long. Heron pulls out his spear and knocks Orizon to the ground before continuing his search for his other allies.
21. Orizon Cantooth, 12, D6- spear stabbed into abdomen by Heron Miller, D7
Betty and Cynthia wrestle over a pack on the ground. Betty pins Cynthia down and punches her in the face. Cynthia's nose starts to bleed and her grip on the pack slips. Betty pushes off of her and stands to her feet but an arrow flies into her chest. Betty falls to the ground and Cynthia looks over to see Diamond holding a bow.
20. Betty Cottrel, 15, D10- arrow shot into chest by Diamond Rondesa, D1
Cynthia scrambles to her feet and heads towards the rainforest, leaving the pack behind. She weaves back and forth as an arrow flies by her shoulder. Cynthia gets knocked to the ground as Topaz tackles her from the side. He effortlessly slashes a knife across her throat with precision. She grabs her hands around her throat to stop the bleeding but it's useless.
19. Cynthia Bowman, 12, D12- throat slashed by Topaz Vinette, D1
Juno scans the clearing and spots Tuner running across. He carries a pack over his shoulder and a sword in his hand. Juno takes aim and effortlessly throws a knife into his neck.
18. Tuner Neutron, 16, D5- knife thrown into neck by Juno Riscardo, D2
Maui and Tito duel one-on-one on the backside of the Cornucopia. They both have swords and have fought for most of the Bloodbath. Tito is starting to tire and doesn't have the endurance or training that Maui has. Asper appears beside Tito carrying two packs and some throwing knives. She aids her ally by throwing a knife into Maui's chest, just below his collar bone. Maui grimaces from the pain and this allows for Tito to lunge forward with his sword. Tito stabs Maui in the chest; he and Asper head for the safety of the rainforest.
17. Maui Olas, 16, D4- stabbed in the chest by Tito Fogart, D12
Roman watches as Maui falls to the ground and sees Tito and Asper running towards the rainforest. Asper has a pack on her back so Roman aims his spear for Tito. The spear lands in the middle of Tito's back and he collapses to the ground. Asper doesn't even hesitate but keeps sprinting on.
16. Tito Fogart, 18, D12- spear thrown into back by Roman Drennon, D2
Eamon flees towards the edge of the clearing a sword in one hand and a bottle of water in the other. Diamond spots Eamon running away and shoots an arrow into his back.
15. Eamon Nation, 17, D9- arrow shot into back by Diamond Rondesa, D1
With the Bloodbath dying down Trudy spots Heron waving her over from the edge of the clearing. He holds a spear and has a backpack on. Trudy heads his way with a pack of her own in hand. Diamond sees Trudy running by and she reloads another arrow. Diamond takes aim, and she hits her mark as the arrow hits Trudy in the back. Trudy falls to the ground and Heron disappears into the rainforest.
14. Trudy Cross, 15, D8- arrow shot into back by Diamond Rondesa, D1
Eleven cannons boom as the Bloodbath comes to an end. The remaining tributes fan out from the Cornucopia while the Careers stay back to go through the supplies. A soft drizzle starts to rain down but the large canopy keeps the rain off most tributes. However, the high humidity quickly makes the tributes slick with sweat. The rainforest is filled with all sorts of animals from ants, monkeys, to jaguars. Although the wildlife won't be easy to spot unless the Gamemakers make them be seen. There is also an abundance of fruits for tributes to eat however there are plenty of poisonous fruits and berries. Darkness soon starts to fall across the Arena and a shadowed rainforest starts to play tricks on many of the outlier tributes as they start to settle down for the night.
The District Three pair, Doogle and Mindy, race towards the eastern part of the Arena. Doogle managed to get a pack of supplies and a dagger while Mindy snatched a vest of throwing knives. The pair find a rock overhang near a stream to stay the night in. Alba of Six got a dagger and a pack of supplies from the Cornucopia. Her long legs and track background allow her to reach the northern edge of the Arena. She doesn't want to sleep on the wet ground of the rainforest floor so she finds a low-hanging branch to sleep on for the night. Heron is the sole survivor of his alliance but got his favored weapon, a spear, and a pack of supplies. He doesn't go too far from the Cornucopia before becoming exhausted and overwhelmed by thinking of his new friends dying before him. He uses his tree climbing skills to sleep in the low branches of a tree. Colt of Ten heads east; he got a sword and a pack from the Cornucopia but hopes to survive off his knowledge of edible plants. He finds a hollowed-out log to spend the night in. Teff of Eleven only grabbed a canteen of water and a green canvas blanket from the Cornucopia. The canteen is filled with water but the high humidity and heat cause him to drink most of it throughout the evening. Teff finds a small cave to stay in for the night. Asper lost her ally, Tito, in the Bloodbath but she pursues onward without much thought. She got two packs and some throwing knives from the Cornucopia. She heads south and stops for the night beside a small stream and hides in a group of large ferns.
Yew of Seven managed to gain the most ground away from the Cornucopia since she didn't partake in the Bloodbath. As the sky darkens she starts to look for a place to hide for the night. Yew finds a space within a massive tree's roots to hide in. She notices some low-hanging fruit and in the dim light, she believes it to be edible. Yew greedily takes a bite and finishes eating the yellow flesh, leaving behind a fist-sized pit. As Yew settles in for the night her stomach starts seizing up and she vomits. Blood and bile stained yellow from the fruit erupt from her mouth. Her stomach tightens again as she continues to vomit off and on for the next hour. Then it's mostly blood that she's vomiting and after another hour of pain and anguish her cannon booms.
13. Yew Chang, 13, D7- ate poisonous fruit
Many of the tributes are startled by the late cannon on the first day. Some feared that the Careers are already setting out to hunt for tributes while others thought some jungle mutt was sneaking through the Arena. As the night comes over the Arena, even the Careers have trouble sleeping from the cacophony of wildlife and the fear of what hides within the rainforest.
Day Two
Hardly any tributes got any rest last night including the Careers. The loud and raucous wildlife didn't interfere with any tributes although many did wake up with mosquito and ant bites. Doogle and Mindy received multiple ant bites throughout the night since their camp was nearby a large but hidden anthill. Their Mentor, Sega, sends them a sponsor gift of a single small tube of itch relief cream. The Careers also suffered heavily from mosquito bites. Juno had kept guard throughout the night and had used multiple large lanterns to light up the area around the Cornucopia so that she could see incoming tributes. However, these lanterns attracted large hordes of mosquitos that feasted on the Careers through the night. An early complaint from Diamond about lack of sleep and itchiness leads to multiple sponsor gifts falling from the sky. Stella sends Diamond a large piece of netting to sleep under for protection from mosquitos and a tube of itch cream. Roman also receives some itch cream from his Mentor Lorien. Roman and Diamond share the cream with the other Careers but not before Diamond removes her tanktop to inspect for any hidden mosquito bites.
Once the Careers apply their ointment they develop a plan to go hunting for the day. Diamond and Roman group up together to go hunting in the southern part of the Arena while Juno and Hanna head north. Topaz stays to guard the Cornucopia but much to his dismay even his District Partner reminds him that he only scored a seven in training.
Hanna and Juno are the only pair to find any signs of tributes. They come across a cluster of small caves and find Teff's canvas blanket inside one. They spend the day searching the area and waiting for Teff to return. They don't leave the area and return back to the Cornucopia until after sundown. Teff left his cave early in the morning to find something to eat and somewhere to refill his canteen. He managed to find a stream about a mile from his cave and a mango tree a few yards further. He spent the day making a basket from large leaves to hold the fruit he picks. His large hands make the process slow and he doesn't finish until late afternoon. After filling the basket with mangoes and his canteen with water he returns back to his cave not long after Hanna and Juno had left.
After waking up and receiving their sponsor gift of itch cream the District Three pair decide it's best to find a new place for camp. They head north and come across a large fallen tree. Doogle digs out some dirt from underneath the log and Mindy gathers some fallen limbs and foliage. After a few hours, the pair have built a small dugout beneath the log and uses the limbs and foliage to conceal the entrance. The rest of the tributes stay close to their camps and don't move around much throughout the day.
Day Three
The Careers get around early after a better night of sleep. Diamond had hung the mesh netting across the mouth of the Cornucopia which helped to keep out most of the bugs. After a quick breakfast, the Careers split up and start hunting for tributes. Topaz and Roman head east while Hanna and Diamond go west which leaves Juno to stay behind and guard the Cornucopia.
Topaz and Roman are walking through the jungle and pass over a stream. Topaz tries to make small talk with the intimidating Roman, but Roman tunes him out. Roman is solely focused on finding tributes. The duo comes across a group of ferns that have been flattened as if a tribute had been sleeping.
"Keep an eye out for tributes, they may be close," Roman whispers.
Topaz takes a few steps forwards and squats down to inspect the trodden ferns. Asper jumps out of a nearby large fern and tackles Topaz to the ground. Asper rolls off of Topaz. Topaz sputters as he looks down and sees a knife embedded in his chest. Asper gets to her feet to run away as Topaz's cannon booms. Roman is quick and Asper screams as he thrusts his spear into her heart, killing her almost instantly.
12. Topaz Vinette, 15, D1- knife stabbed into chest by Asper Zucker, D11
11. Asper Zucker, 17, D11- spear stabbed into chest by Roman Drennon, D2
Roman doesn't spend any time mourning the death of Topaz. Instead, Roman drags Topaz's pack out from underneath him. Roman scans the area for any of Asper's supplies but doesn't find any. He spends the rest of the day hunting for other tributes but doesn't find any. He then returns back to the Cornucopia at sunset where he meets up with the other Careers and tells them of Topaz's death.
The outliers venture around quite a bit other than the District Three pair who stay hidden in their shelter. Alba roams around the northern edge of the arena and finds a grove of banana trees which she spends the day harvesting and eating. Heron spends the day heading south and gaining a greater distance between him and the Careers. Along the way, he manages to kill a colorful bird with his spear. He finds a stream to set up camp by and a sponsor gift of a flint stone allows him to make a small fire to cook the bird with. Colt spends the day actively searching for other tributes making him the only outlier tribute to do so. However, he doesn't come into contact with any other tributes and returns back to his hollowed-out log at sunset. Teff ventures out of his cave to refill his canteen in the stream and pick some more mangos to eat before returning back.
Day Four
The day passes slowly as many tributes stay hidden for the day. Diamond and Juno hunt together in the west while Hanna went to the east and Roman stayed to guard the Cornucopia. After another night of biting bugs, Alba finds some mud to lathers her skin with to prevent bugs from biting her. The only outlier to move about is Colt and he just goes out to try and hunt for an animal to eat but after no luck he finds some acai berries to eat.
Day Five
After a quick breakfast, the Careers get ready for the day. Diamond volunteers to guard the Cornucopia since she hadn't done it yet. Roman advises Juno to return back to the cave that she and Hanna discovered three days prior to see if any tributes are still around. Juno asks for Hanna to go with her, but Roman reminds her that he has more say than her since he scored higher. Juno grimaces but doesn't verbally object. In actuality, Roman has developed a small crush on the District Four girl but he hasn't had much time to get close with her. Roman gives Hanna a short smile which causes her to blush slightly. Without any further objections, the Careers split apart to hunt for tributes.
Roman and Hanna walk eastward and Roman awkwardly tries to make conversation with Hanna. Hanna twirls her blonde hair and flirts back but she's only doing it to get on Roman's good side in case the alliance ends soon. Roman continues talking about his life and training back in Two which Hanna listens to half-heartedly. She nods her head and giggles every so often. The pair stops to rest beside a stream when Hanna hears rustling nearby. Hanna perks her head up and spots a flash of movement across the stream. She splashes through the water and Roman follows behind. Hanna and Roman try to keep up with the tribute which Hanna recognizes as Mindy.
"You won't get far Three!" Hanna yells.
Mindy doesn't even look back but ducks and weaves through the jungle with her proficient agility. She makes it to the clearing of where her and Doogle's shelter is built under the fallen tree. Mindy doesn't have time to warn Doogle or crawl into the shelter so instead she climbs over the fallen tree as Hanna and Roman crash into the clearing. Mindy sits hidden behind the log and tries to even her breathing while praying that Doogle will stay hidden in their shelter. As Hanna and Roman scan the area they easily notice the poorly hidden shelter. Roman rips the limbs and leaves covering the dugout below the tree; exposing Doogle who shouts for Mindy. Mindy covers her ears as Hanna stabs her sword repeatedly into Doogle's chest.
"Where is she? Where is the girl?" Roman yells out.
Doogle only responds in screams as Hanna stabs him again and again until he's a messy clump laying in a hole.
10. Doogle Bing, 18, D3- stabbed in the chest by Hanna Perez, D4
As Doogle's cannon booms Roman starts to climb over the log to see if Mindy is hiding behind it. Mindy hears the shuffling and grunting of Roman as he climbs over. She's too scared to run, but as Roman peeks his head over the log Mindy stabs one of her throwing knives into his neck. Roman grabs at his neck and falls back over to the side where Hanna is standing. Hanna screams at the sight of the blood and tries to stop the bleeding. Mindy takes this opportunity to run off into the rainforest. Hanna leaves Roman's aid and climbs over the log to look for Mindy but the District Three girl is out of sight. Roman's cannon sounds. Hanna is exhausted and sweating from the occurrence and decides to head back to the Cornucopia with Roman's pack and sword.
9. Roman Drennon, 17, D2- knife stabbed into neck by Mindy Benson, D3
This leaves the Final Eight; Diamond Rondesa of One, Juno Riscardo from Two, Mindy Benison of Three, Hanna Perez of Four, Alba Sonata of Six, Heron Miller of Seven, Colt Manitoba of Ten, and Teff Chambers of Eleven.
After the two quick cannons, Juno starts to feel anxious. Did Roman want to go with Hanna so that he could turn on her? Is that why he's been acting so strange around her? Juno scouts out the cave that her and Hanna had found a few days ago and finds no signs of tributes. Juno debates going back to the Cornucopia. If Roman turned on Hanna would he turn on Diamond, and if he does would Diamond target her too. Was it safe to go back and risk dying because of Roman's actions? After trampling through the jungle with these thoughts swirling in her head, Juno finally decides it's best to just stay at the cave for the next few days. She has a pack of supplies and food, and with only eight tributes left the Games could be ending soon. Juno receives a sponsor gift from her mentor, Lorien, of a bowl of heated vegetable soup for dinner. She takes this as a sign that she made the right choice.
Day Six
Since Juno never returned back from hunting yesterday evening, Diamond and Hanna just assume she has ditched the alliance. The pair get ready for the day and Diamond decides that it's best to hunt together without leaving anybody to guard the Cornucopia. If a tribute is brave enough to venture to the Cornucopia let them take some supplies and if they stay too long the pair will kill them when they get back. Hanna doesn't dispute against Diamond and the pair head north for the day.
Around midday, Mindy goes to a nearby stream to get some water. She's close by to Diamond and Hanna. The Gamemakers send a jaguar mutt onto Mindy to lure her closer to Hanna for a match-up of round two. As Mindy sips from the streams she hears a soft growl coming from the underbrush across the water. Mindy slowly walks backwards as a spotted large cat slinks out into view. The jaguar roars and bashes its teeth. Mindy screams and sprints off. The jaguar chases after her; Hanna and Diamond hear Mindy's scream and run in that direction. Mindy sprints onward and runs into view of Diamond and Hanna. Hanna waves her sword as Mindy makes eye contact. Mindy hesitates for only a second before ducking away. Diamond sets her feet to throw a knife. The jaguar jumps out of the brush and tackles Diamond to the ground. Diamond screams for Hanna to help, but Hanna leaves Diamond behind to catch Mindy. The jaguar claws Diamond's face and chest. Diamond manages to stab her throwing knife into the jaguar's side but it seems to have no effect. Blood gushes from Diamond's wounds as she shrieks in pain, the jaguar gives a killing blow by sinking its teeth into Diamond's throat.
8. Diamond Rondesa, 16, D1- killed by jaguar mutt
Hanna chases after Mindy without a thought of remorse for Diamond. Hanna follows Mindy's trail and finally catches up to her. Hanna tries to swing her sword but slips on a wet rock and stumbles to the ground. Hanna grits her teeth and is back on her feet. She follows after Mindy but loses sight of her. Mindy cowers behind a nearby tree exhausted and gasping for air. The cawing of birds and chirping of insects go quiet and Hanna hears Mindy's breathing. Hanna steps around the tree and slashes her sword across Mindy's abdomen. Intestines and blood gush to the ground as Mindy screams in pain and crumbles to the ground. Hanna leaves her to bleed out and after a few minutes Mindy's cannon booms, reawaking the noises of the rainforest.
7. Mindy Benison, 18, D3- abdomen slashed by Hanna Perez, D4
Day Seven
Starting early in the morning a severe thunderstorm passes over the Arena. Most tributes stay hidden for the duration of the day trying to stay as dry as possible. The exception being Juno who tries to hunt for tributes. Since Diamond died yesterday Juno assumes that the Career alliance officially ended, and the only other threat she has left in the Arena is Hanna. After walking around in the downpour for an hour, she gives up and returns back to her camp soaking wet. The storm doesn't end until nightfall and no deaths occur this day.
Day Eight
Juno gets around early after not getting much sleep the night before. Walking through the rain gave her a headache and now she's exhausted. She walks around a few hours and comes across a group of banana trees. She recognizes the fruit from picture books that kids read. She eats a few bananas before leaning against the tree and closing her eyes to rest. Alba is walking through the banana tree grove when she spots Juno resting against a tree. Alba stops and lowers herself to not be seen. Alba watches Juno for a few minutes and notices that her eyes are closed and breathing heavily. Alba assumes she must be sleeping. Alba inches closer to a sleeping Juno and notices a pile of banana peels beside her. Next to the banana pile Juno's hand grips a throwing knife. Alba pulls a dagger from her bag and sneaks closer. Although it's seen as being cowardly to kill a sleeping tribute, Alba can't give up the opportunity to take out a Career. Alba stands in front of Juno and watches as her chest rises and falls. Alba takes a deep breath and plunges her dagger into Juno's chest. Juno awakes instantly and reflexively swings her knife out and it cuts across Alba's left arm. Alba shuffles back as Juno tries to get from her feet. Juno's eyes are wide as she pulls the dagger from her chest with a pained shriek. Blood gushes from the wound, Juno throws her knife but her aim is badly off and it lands a few feet away from Alba. Juno reaches for another knife but falls to the ground gasping for air until her cannon booms. Alba picks up her dagger and takes Juno's pack before scampering deeper into the banana tree grove.
6. Juno Riscardo, 18, D2- stabbed in the chest by Alba Sonata, D6
Hanna, Colt, and Heron all travel around searching for tributes but don't have any luck. Meanwhile, Teff stays hidden among the mango trees. Alba inspects her arm and luckily the cut isn't very deep. She rinses the blood off in a stream and then uses a large banana leaf to wrap around her arm like a bandage. It's not medicinal but it's better than nothing.
Day Nine
The remaining tributes all awake up fairly early. Alba continues to tend to her arm and rests for the day. Teff doesn't roam around much but instead stays within his mango tree grove. Hanna, Heron, and Colt all travel around a bit searching for other tributes.
Around mid-afternoon, Heron stops to rest at a stream. He washes the water over his arms and face to help cool him off. As he is resting, Heron notices a yellow mango hanging from a tree nearby. Heron greedily snatches the mango and takes a bite. He soon eats the whole thing and notices a group of mango trees stretching along the bank of the stream. Heron walks through the grove of mango trees plucking a mango whenever he desires to do so. Movement catches Heron's eye and he looks to see Teff running through the trees. Heron takes off after him. Teff is massive and weaponless which is a great disadvantage to Heron's agility and spear. Heron gains ground as Teff struggles to get through the underbrush of the rainforest. Heron gets close enough to throw his spear and it lands in the center of Teff's back. Teff yells in pain as he trips forward and rolls onto the ground. Heron races over and Teff struggles to breathe. Teff tries to crawl away but Heron simply removes his spear and stabs it into Teff's back which causes his cannon to boom.
5. Teff Chambers, 16, D11- spear thrown into back by Heron Miller, D7
Heron travels back to the stream and makes camp there for the night. Colt finds a trail of what he assumes a tribute had walked on and follows it throughout the afternoon but doesn't spot any tributes. Hanna spends most of the day hunting for tributes but when she comes across a deep portion of a stream she can't help but strip down and take a short swim to cool off. In response, she receives a small sponsor gift of sugar cookie which she takes as a sign that she's in good standing for winning these Games.
Day Ten
Not wanting the Games to end too quickly the Gamemakers have another severe thunderstorm roll through the Arena. The rain lasts all day and a few hours after sunset. All of the tributes stay huddled away in hopes of staying as dry as possible. The day ends without any deaths.
Day Eleven
The morning passes without much action but towards mid-afternoon Hanna and Heron come within a half-mile distance from one another. In order to guide the tributes closer to one another, the Gamemakers let loose some mutts. Two large and muscular monkeys jump out of the foliage in front of Heron. They both let out an intense howl that echoes across the Arena. One of the monkeys leaps at Heron but he manages to swat it in the head with the butt of his spear. The monkey drops to the ground and gathers itself. Heron spins his spear around and manages to thrust it into the chest of the second monkey. It howls in pain as the first monkey gets to his feet. Heron turns and starts to run away as the monkey chases after him.
Nearby Hanna is resting at the bottom of a tree when a green and brown speckled boa constrictor slinks down into view. Hanna screams at the sight of the massive snake and starts to run away. The boa constrictor quickly flops it's 30-foot body out of the tree and gives chase. Hanna turns to try to throw a knife at the snake but her foot catches on a root and she slams onto the ground. Before she can gain her senses the boa constrictor swarms over her body and wraps itself around Hanna and starts to squeeze her. Hanna tries to reach for a knife but her arms are pressed against her side and soon she's not able to move. She can only wheeze in pain as the snake squeezes the air out of her body. Her ribs start to crack and her eyes bulge as the snake's grip tightens. Eventually, her insides burst and are punctured by crushed bones, her cannon booms. The snake mutt leaves the body and slithers up a nearby tree.
4. Hanna Perez, 16, D4- killed by boa constrictor mutt
The Gamemakers are disappointed that a tribute match up didn't occur and that a fan-favorite died but they continue to let the one monkey chase after Heron. The monkey fueled by new rage leaps onto Heron. The pair fall to the ground and Heron twists to face the monkey. The monkey howls as it starts to bang at Heron's chest. Heron moans in pain and lifts his spear to block the blows. The monkey bares it fangs at bites the spear causing it to splinter in two. The monkey howls once more and gnashes its teeth. Heron uses the two splintered ends and stabs them into the monkey's chest. Black mutt blood sputters out the monkey's mouth and its body goes limp. Heron heaves the mutt from off of him and crawls away into the underbrush. His ribs ache, making it hard to breathe. As Heron rests a sponsor gift from his mentor, Fiona, falls from the canopy. Inside Heron finds a small bottle of water and two small pink pills. Without hesitation, he swallows the two pills hoping that they will help with the pain. Heron stays hidden for the rest of the day to recover. The two other remaining tributes, Alba and Colt, roam around the Arena for a few hours but never come in contact with one another or any mutts.
Day Twelve
The three remaining tributes are all awake by mid-morning. Each of them gathers determination to prepare for the upcoming finale. Heron's chest still aches but the pain is much more bearable than it was yesterday evening. After a few hours of the tributes roaming the Arena, the Gamemakers send in a horde of ant mutts to lead the tributes together. Thousands of ants crawl across the Arena in hunt of the tributes.
Colt is the first to encounter the ants. He hears a soft patterning and at first, thinks it's the start of rain. Colt then notices the waves of red ants heading his way. The ground looks like a swaying mass of red water. Colt doesn't wait around and immediately starts to sprint away. Alba and Heron soon encounter their own horde of ants. The three tributes run onward as a few ants manage to crawl up their legs and bite into their flesh.
As Colt is running he spots Alba running a few dozen meters away. He runs towards her and they're eyes lock on each other. As the two tributes meet the ant mutts leave them be and continue on their way. Alba and Colt aren't at the Cornucopia but instead surrounded by the rainforest and a small stream trickles a few feet away. Colt has his sword and Alba has two forearm length daggers in her hands. Alba makes the first move as she slashes her two daggers downward towards Colt's chest. Colt parries the attack and curves his sword to cut across Alba's left shoulder. Alba screams as blood drips down her arm. She stabs out her dagger and it lands in Colt's right thigh. Colt drops to a knee. Alba goes to slash at his throat but Colt manages to thrust his sword upward and impales Alba just below her chest cavity. Alba shrieks as blood sprays from her chest and she slumps to the ground. It only takes a second for her cannon to boom.
3. Alba Sonata, 18, D6- chest stabs by Colt Manitoba, D10
Colt watches as Alba bleeds out and then Heron crashes out of the rainforest into view. The ant mutts had chased Heron passed the Cornucopia and lead him to this final showdown. Both boys breathe heavily and Heron winces from his aching ribs. Heron holds his broken-in-half spear in hand as Colt charges. Heron manages to duck out of the way of Colt's swing. Heron thrust his spear forward but misses Colt as he twists around. Colt lunges out but Heron sidesteps and wack his spear against Colt's wounded thigh. Colt roars as he lunges out again but Heron jumps out of the way and stabs his spear into Colt's shoulder. The overbearing pain causes Colt to drop his sword. Heron pulls out his spear and goes for a kill but Colt jumps at Heron. Heron is surprised by the attack and they pair falls to the ground. Heron yells as the air is knocked from his lungs and his spear is flung away out of reach. Heron coughs as Colt pins him down. Heron tries to fight Colt off and presses his thumb into Colt's shoulder wound. Colt falters for a second and this allows Heron to flip over on top of Colt. Heron wraps his hands around Colt's throat and starts to choke him and hitting his head against the ground. Colt is a few inches taller and more muscular than Heron and manages to push Heron off. Colt tackles Heron and gets on top of him. The duo wrestles back and forth on the ground and the pair rolls into the stream where Colt manages to pin Heron down once more. Colt chokes Heron and holds his head below the water as Heron flails about. Heron reaches out blindly and his hands grab around a rock. He swings it up and it knocks against Colt's temple dazing him. Heron pulls himself out from underneath Colt and uses the rock to hit Colt across the head again. Heron tackles Colt down to the ground and starts to repeatedly smash the rock into Colt's face until his cannon booms leaving behind an unrecognizable mess of tissue and blood.
2. Colt Manitoba, 15, D10- rock smashed into head by Heron Miller, D7
"Congratulation, Heron Miller of District Seven. You are the Victor of the 91st Hunger Games!" Water flows around Colt's body and it turns red as it carries his blood downstream. Heron is horrified by the brutal killing. He tries to wash the blood off of his uniform and body in the stream as the hovercraft comes to pick him up. The announcement of his victory booms again and Heron grabs onto the ladder to be lifted out of the Arena. Heron smiles and waves his free hand but he can't help but think about the blood covering his face and arms.

Facts about the Victor
Heron is the first Victor under the age of 16. He would gradually overcome the horror of his final battle with the support of his family and girlfriend. Heron is goofy and outspoken a contrast of Seven's previous Victor, Fiona Dempsey, who won ten years prior. His victory tour went well as he was a good speaker and even the Career Districts were approving of him for his intuition and courage during his finale. The only District to seem displeased was of course District Ten.
Appearance: Heron is 5'7 and slender. He has short black hair, grey eyes, and tan skin.
Family: Heron has two older brothers and a younger sister. Heron marries at the age of 19 and has two sons. None of his descendants participate in a Hunger Games.
Death: Heron dies due to pneumonia at the age of 92, three months before the 168th Games.
