Panem Events
After last year's successful Games, Julius Falco was confident in his skills to create another exciting Hunger Games. Once again he didn't release any pre-game footage so that no leaks could be made. As for President Marcello, the Capitol was divided on their opinion of him. His original political party, Alpha Aurea, was angry at his slacking of District quotas and the loosening of Peacemaker control in the Districts. The other major political party, Augmenta Pax, was happy about the President's changed ways and the better treatment of the Districts. The Peacekeeper forces in the Capitol and Districts started rioting and protesting as the President started cutting funding and jobs. The tension in the Capitol was beginning to grow and two months before the Games, one of the members of the presidential security team attempted to assassinate the President but was unsuccessful. With this year's Games, Julius was hoping to distract the Capitol by showcasing an exciting Games.
As for the tributes, the Careers were extremely strong and outshined most of the outer District Tributes. Sparkling from One scored a ten with her bow and arrow skills, and the remaining Careers all scored a nine other than Knox of Two who scored an eight. All of the Careers had bonded well in training and seemed to work well together. As for the outliers, the only standouts were Brynne of Five and Shyanna of Ten who both scored a seven. The two girls had decided to ally together in training and recruited Noa of Twelve. Another surprising tribute was petite Amber of Nine who shocked the Capitol by scoring a six but during her onstage interview could hardly get a word out in between sobs. All of the other tributes seemed to be of a much lower caliber and weren't contenders in the eye of the Capitol. The only other alliance in the Games was the young pair from Six, Deacon and Skylar.

Day One
The tributes rise into the arena wearing khaki shorts, tan short-sleeved button-up shirts with their District number patched onto the right sleeve, and heavy work boots. The Cornucopia sits in the middle of a paved square surrounded by small vendor shops and walking paths leading in different directions. The arena this year is a zoo completed with animal enclosures, aquariums, gift shops, and even a fully furnished dining area. From their viewpoint, the tributes can spot plenty of places to hide and most will run from the Cornucopia without vying for any supplies. As the gong rings, the tributes take off in different directions.
Sparkling and Dylan are the first to the Cornucopia. Sparkling quickly finds her bow and arrows placed at the mouth of the horn. She notches an arrow and aims at a young boy running away from the Bloodbath. She lets the arrow fly and it hits its mark in the middle of the boy's back and he falls to the ground with a wail.

"Good shot," Dylan says with a grin before picking up a spear and moving to the backside of the Cornucopia where he finds Sonia pillaging through a crate. He makes easy work by stabbing his spear in the back of her neck. Sonia slumps over with blood gurgling out of her mouth.
23. Sonia Gearing, D3- stabbed in the neck by Dylan Seawall, D4
Prescott makes his way to the front of the Cornucopia but is tackled sideways by Knox who pins him to the ground. Knox starts to punch Prescott in the face until it's a bloody mess and Prescott groans in agony. Knox starts to choke Prescott, and he tries to knock him off but Knox is too heavy. Knox keeps a tight grip around Prescott's throat until his body stops withering in pain.

Shyanna is running over to the east side of the Bloodbath where Noa and Brynne are waiting for her. Out of the corner of her eye, she sees Edson swipe at her with a scythe. Edson is barely able to keep control of the scythe and stumbles forward. Shyanna easily dodges the blade and stabs her knife into Edson's chest. Edson falls to the pavement and Shyanna leaves him there to bleed out. She meets up with Noa and Brynne and the trio heads away from Bloodbath.

Nova chases after Halia across the pavement and easily catches up to her. Nova shoves Halia to the ground and she starts to sob but it is quickly ended by Nova stabbing her sword into Halia's chest.
20. Halia Berry, D11- stabbed in the chest by Nova Battles, D2
The trio of Brynne, Shyanna, and Noa are running from the Bloodbath when they encounter Gene from Eight ahead of them. Gene slows to a halt and begs them to let him join their alliance. Noa is quick to accept his invitation and Gene looks genuinely happy but then pulls out a dagger from under his shirt and stabs at Noa. The blade cuts across Noa's left arm as he jumps back. Brynne reacts instinctively as she hacks her machete into Gene's abdomen. Shyanna grabs Noa's hand and the trio once again takes off and leaves a bleeding Gene to die.

Angelica chases Rose away from the Cornucopia. Rose uses her cross-country background to outpace Angelica and stops at the edge of an animal enclosure. A pool of water surrounded by a forested exhibit lies ten feet below. Angelica charges at Rose with a dagger held high; desperate for a kill. Rose takes the risk and leaps into the water below. Angelica yells in anger as Rose pulls herself out of the water and escapes out of sight.
Angelica quickly turns back to the Cornucopia and hopes to find another tribute to make a kill. On her way back she finds Shea sobbing on the backside of a vendor's cart. Shea pleads to Angelica to make it painless, and Angelica responds by effortlessly swiping her knife across her throat.
18. Shea Mahony, D7- throat sliced by Angelica Hardy, D4
Seven cannons boom as the Bloodbath comes to an end. The Careers regroup at the Cornucopia, all six of them still alive. The rest of the tributes flee away from the Cornucopia. Krystal of Twelve travels the farthest away before finding an empty food truck on the outer edge of the zoo. She didn't grab any supplies at the Cornucopia but finds a small knife in one of the drawers that she arms herself with. Fisher from Seven also ran away from the Cornucopia without getting any supplies. He runs southward and finds shelter inside the dim-lit reptile house. Skylar lost her District Partner and ally in the Bloodbath. She watched Deacon get shot in the back with an arrow and it put her over the edge. She sobbed as she ran away and continued to sob the rest of the day even after she took shelter in an empty exhibit filled with a small pool of water surrounded by tall grass. Skylar takes shelter behind a large stack of rocks that shields her from being seen by others. Rose was able to escape Angelica by jumping into an exhibit and finding a safe place to hide within the jungle of the exhibit. She managed to get a small pack containing a first aid kit, a canteen, and a small knife.
Amber runs west away from the Cornucopia with a pack full of supplies and a dagger. She runs past a drained aquarium and spots Kord hiding behind a nearby trash can. The boy from Three holds his hands up to surrender and Amber raises her dagger. She hesitates for a moment and Kord takes the opportunity to sprint away. Amber watches in frustration as she lets Kord run away. "That was dumb of you, Amber. You'll have to kill to win this game," she mutters to herself.
Blaine of Eleven is the first tribute to reach the dining area. An outdoor patio with picnic tables surrounds the building with a large kitchen and pantry inside. The kitchen walls are decorated with murals of animals that Blaine doesn't even recognize. Blaine quickly finds a large knife in the pantry. He starts eating a large bag of tortilla chips and finds a can of cheese sauce to eat with it. Blaine hears the kitchen door slam open and he exits the pantry with his knife ready. Mazen the small boy from Nine yells in shock and begs Blaine not to kill him. Blaine is sympathetic to the young boy and instead of killing him, he offers Mazen the bag of tortilla chips. The two boys solidify an alliance and bond by talking about working on the farms in their respective Districts.
The trio of Shyanna, Brynne, and Noa run across an open plain with a creek running through it that ends in a small pond. Tall grass and a grove of trees surround the backside of the pond. The group stops and makes camp there. The trees provide shade and the grass provides cover while allowing them to see out across the plain. They were able to get an ample amount of supplies from the Cornucopia. Brynne finds a first aid kit in her pack and gets to work bandaging Noa's arm wound. She pours antiseptic over the wound and wraps gauze around it. "Am I going to die, doc?" Noa asks with a grin. "As long as it doesn't get too badly infected. Luckily we have a few tablets of antibiotics that should last a few days," Brynne offers a smile back and softly pats the wound, causing Noa to wince.
Day Two
The Careers wake up at sunrise and quickly plan to spread out and hunt for tributes. Sparkling, Nova, and Dylan head north while Knox and Angelica head east. The two groups plan to work their way toward each other and meet up at sunset. Eros volunteers to stay behind and guard the Cornucopia. It's not until after midday that the Careers are successful at finding a tribute. Angelica and Knox are trekking across an open plain exhibit when they spot a tribute collecting water from a small pond. The girl has her back to the Careers and doesn't notice as they sneak up behind her. Shyanna notices a shadow overcome her and sees the reflection of Knox in the water. She turns around and screams, "Help!", her allies don't come to her aid. Knox easily swings his ax into Shyanna's chest and she falls to the ground. Blood gurgles out of her mouth and her cannon soon booms.

Brynne watches from the tall grass on the other side of the pond as Knox kills Shyanna. She knew it wasn't smart for her to reveal herself to try and save Shyanna. Brynne escapes through the grass and finds Noa resting under a tree where she left him. She quickly wakes him up and the duo sprints south through the forest in hopes of evading the Careers. Angelica and Knox suspect Shyanna had allies nearby. They scour through parts of the woods but quickly give up before continuing eastward.
The rest of the day passes slowly as the remainder of the tributes don't move around much. The only other tribute to move was Skylar. She finds a large jungle gym with an assortment of slides, climbing bars, and cargo nets crisscrossing throughout it. Skylar hides in a small tunnel at the upper level that has a peephole that allows her to look out for other tributes. Blaine and Mazen continue to raid the pantry and stuff their bellies full of hotdogs, nachos, and soda. The rest of the tributes stay well hidden in their respective camps. The Careers meet back up at sunset and return to the Cornucopia without finding any other tributes.
Day Three
An all-day thunderstorm wrecks the arena. The Careers stay huddled within the Cornucopia to stay dry. Many of the other tributes have to bear the harsh conditions. Brynne receives a sponsor's gift of a tarp. She and Noa use it to shield themselves as much as possible. Rose from Eight stays hidden within the confines of her jungle exhibit but uses her knife and twine to make a lean-to that protects her from most of the rain. Blaine and Mazen stay safe within their dining hall fully protected from the weather outside. The lights within the hall flicker a few times but the boys hardly notice as they continue to eat heartily. On the southern side of the arena Fisher of Seven stays hidden in the dark corners of the reptile house. Skylar of Six stays safe within her tunnel on the playground set. The winds rock the equipment. Skylar whimpers in fear that the whole thing will collapse but it never does. Kord moves from his hiding place behind a dumpster and finds a food truck to hide inside. The truck was made to sell funnel cakes but Kord can't figure out how to get the fryer to turn on. Instead, he spends all day licking powder sugar from his hands. Fisher stays hidden inside the reptile house on the far eastern side of the arena.
The only interaction between tributes is with Amber of Nine and Crystal of Twelve. Both girls were running and looking for better shelter from the storm. Amber spots Krystal and chases after her. Krystal knocks over a souvenir stand that Amber has to hurdle over. In the process, she loses sight of Krystal as she disappears in the rain. Krystal doesn't stop running until she knows Amber is nowhere near and ends up hiding under the counter of a carnival basketball game set up. Amber tries to chase after Krystal but gives up quickly before returning to the souvenir shop where she stays safe from the storm outside.
Day Four
The storm doesn't end until the early morning of day four. Knowing that the other tributes weren't likely to travel in the storm all of the Careers were able to get a good night's rest. They wake early and prepare to hunt for tributes. Angelica volunteers to stay at the Cornucopia. Knox, Dylan, and Sparkling head south while Eros and Nova head north. Eros and Nova soon come across the dining hall and pass through the outside dining tables looking for any signs of tributes. Eros finds a door leading inside to the kitchen he cracks the door open. The sound of laughing can be heard from inside, and he waves Nova over. Together they sneak inside the kitchen and follow the sound of Mazen and Blaine talking. They find Blaine sitting on the floor and Mazen sitting on the counter, both boys are eating a hot dog. Mazen spots Eros first and yells for Blaine to run. The duo takes off but the Careers are faster. Eros glides over and stabs his knife into Blaine's neck and a tide of blood gushes onto the floor. Nova chases after Mazen. He races for the door, and Nova throws her spear into his back before he can escape.

The Careers go through the dead tributes' supplies but find nothing of value and leave the dining hall. Nova and Eros head back to the Cornucopia. The other Careers: Dylan, Knox, and Sparkling spend the day walking through the empty aquarium a the northern edge of the arena where Krystal is camped. Krystal hears the Careers talking loudly and she has plenty of time to hide herself in a storage closet. Krystal jams a fishing net handle under the door handle. The Careers' voices come nearer and Sparkling carelessly pulls on the handle. Krystal holds her breath but Sparkling just assumes the door is locked and the trio continues. Krystal doesn't dare leave the closet until she hears the anthem play later that night. The rest of the tributes spend the day hiding.
Day Five
With more than half the tributes remaining in the Games, the Gamemakers release a few mutts in the arena to stir the tributes. The first is a zebra mutt placed in the plains exhibit near Brynne and Noa who are camped in the small forested area. Brynne had just woken Noa up when the sound of hooves in the distance alerted the duo into action.
"It has to be some kind of mutt. Climb the tree!" Noa says pointing up.
Brynne helps Noa pull himself onto the lower branch due to his arm injury and she quickly follows. It's only a few seconds later when the zebra mutt appears. It has rippling muscles and razor-sharp teeth. "What the hell is that thing!" Brynne shouts. The zebra mutt raises on its hind legs and snaps at Brynne and Noa but they are too far out of reach. It then rams itself into the tree and the pair has to hold tight to not fall. The only weapon they have is Brynne's machete. She lunges at the mutt and only manages to nick its snout which only makes it angrier.
"I have an idea and you're not gonna like it." Before Brynne can protest, Noa takes the machete and leaps from the tree. He lands on the zebra's back with a thud. Both Brynne and the mutt are shocked. Noa grips the mane as the mutt bucks but he holds on tight. He swings the machete and slashes it across the mutt's throat causing a cascade of black blood to spray out. The mutt falls to the ground and Noa manages to roll off its back unscathed.
"What the hell were you thinking?" Brynne shouts climbing down from the tree.
"I once tried riding my uncle's donkey and went about the same way," Noa says with a painful laugh. "I think we should just rest for the day." He groans as he leans up and Brynne gives him a huge hug that almost knocks the breath out of him.
At the Cornucopia, the Careers are just finishing breakfast when a golden rhinoceros walks into view. Its red eyes lock onto the group and Knox shouts at everyone to grab a weapon. Sparkling fires a brigade of arrows at the mutt but they simply bounce off his skin, "His skin is too tough for my arrows," she shouts.
The group fans out but it runs straight into the Cornucopia and starts demolishing the supplies. With its back turned Eros and Nova sneak up and Nova stabs her spear in its flank. It breaks the skin and black blood trickles down as it roars in pain. It turns around and its red eyes focus on Eros. Eros tries to run away but not before it swings its head and knocks Eros against the Cornucopia wall. The rhino goes for another attack but Knox swings an axe onto the rhino's snout and Dylan charges from the side and stabs it. Sparkling shoots another arrow this time it pierces the rhino mutt's eye. The mutt grunts and tries to run away but the Careers continually stab at the mutt until it falls to the ground dead.
Sparkling rushes over to Eros. It takes a moment but he opens his eyes, "What the fuck just happened," he groans. A large bump is already forming on the back of his head.
"He probably has a concussion. He shouldn't be out walking the arena today. I'll stay with him to make sure he's alright," Knox says as he checks Eros' pupils. Knox has the most first-aid knowledge of the group.
"I'm not leaving his side until I know he's gonna be okay," Sparkling says with tears welling in her eyes.
"You all can watch over him. The rest of us will go hunting," Dylan mutters. He, Angelica, and Nova then head west to hunt for tributes.
The only other mutt released is a blue and purple jaguar mutt. Skylar hasn't left her hiding place within the playset for days. She's unsuspecting when the jaguar mutt sneaks its way up the steps of the playset and finds her sleeping in the tunnel. She doesn't wake up until the mutt is clawing at her leg as it drags her out of the tunnel and into the open. She screams in pain as her flesh is ripped from her body. Her screams are cut off once the mutt bites into her neck and her cannon booms.
14. Skylar Curry, D6- killed by Jaguar mutt
Dylan, Nova, and Angelica hear Skylar's screams and cannon boom and they run in that direction. They find the playset which is a massive maze of slides, tunnels, climbing walls, and monkey bars. The hovercraft appears and lifts Skylar's mangled body into the sky. "Look there!" Nova shouts pointing at the jaguar mutt as it slinks its way down the steps. Nova and Dylan both throw their spears at the jaguar and hit their mark. It stumbles down the steps and lands on the ground with a thud as it dies. The pair grab their spears and continue their way, and Angelica follows quietly behind.
Day Six
The day passes slowly as not much action occurs. Rose wakes up to find that the pool of water in her exhibit has been drained dry. Brynne and Noa discover that the pond that they have been collecting water from has also been drained. The only action that happens is that Amber spots Krystal walking around the aquarium. Amber chases Krystal. Krystal spots Amber early on and races to the storage closet she hid in before from the Careers. Without a weapon, it's her best bet. She jams the door shut and Amber bangs on the door in frustration but is to weak to open it. After about ten minutes, Amber stops knocking and she waits nearby for almost three hours before giving up and leaving to find a place to stay the night. The only other outlier tribute to move about is Kord, whom many had forgotten about. He finds a knife in one of the drawers of the food truck and spends about an hour walking around before rushing back to his shelter.
Day Seven
Eros is starting to get better but decides to stay behind to guard the Cornucopia as the rest of the Careers go hunting. Nova and Sparkling head north and Dylan, Angelica, and Knox go east. Nova and Sparkling make their way to the aquarium and this time Sparkling spots Krystal sitting on a park bench. Sparkling fires an arrow but Krystal spots them just in time to run away. The arrow misses and Krystal disappears around the corner. Nova sprints after her as Krystal makes her way back to the storage room. Just before she can jam the door shut, Nova barges in. Krystal screams as Nova stabs her spear into her chest until she dies.
13. Krystal Dykes, D12- stabbed in the chest by Nova Battles, D2
Fisher has been hiding in the reptile house for days and ventures out to look for food. He spots a funnel cake food truck hidden behind a restroom. He opens the food truck door and is shocked to find Kord sleeping on the floor. Kord wakes up with wild eyes and swings his knife out. "Wait, wait! Don't hurt me, I'm just hungry," Fisher says holding his hands up.
"Do you have any weapons?" Kord asks.
"I have nothing. I've barely been surviving," Fisher responds. Kord looks at Fisher with pity, "There's not much room in here, but working together might be safer with so many tributes left," Kord says putting his knife down. Fisher and Kord spend the rest of the day getting closer.
On the other side of the arena, Brynne and Noa are running desperately low on supplies. They have run out of water since the pond dried up. They come up with a plan to go to the Cornucopia for more supplies in the morning. They know that there will likely be only one Career on guard and maybe they can surprise them.
Day Eight
The Careers get ready to go hunting and Eros wakes up with a pounding headache so he stays behind to guard the Cornucopia once again. Knox gives him some pain medication but warns him that it can make him sleepy. Not long after the others leave he falls asleep. Eros wakes up around noon and jerks awake. He grabs his sword and scans the arena but doesn't see any tributes. He rummages through some creates looking for something to eat, but the rhino mutt has destroyed most of the supplies. Eros feels the presence of someone behind him and finds Brynne and Noa standing there. Noa lunges with his sword and hacks it across Eros' chest. Eros yells in pain and swings his sword out and it slices across Brynne's abdomen as he falls to the ground. He starts to choke on his blood and his cannon soon booms.

Brynne collapses to the ground with a wail. Her intestines flood out of her abdomen. Noa hastily tries to put them back in place as tears fall from both of their faces. "Please win for me Noa," Brynne repeats over and over until she stops breathing.
11. Brynne Gaskin, D5- abdomen sliced open by Eros Caminoli, D1
Noa yells in frustration. He throws a few crates around and kicks at the dirt. It was his idea to ambush the Cornucopia. He looks around for any supplies and sees that most things have been destroyed or ransacked. This makes him even more upset, "This was completely pointless," he mutters. He grabs his sword and pack, he finds a few bottles of water that he takes with him.
The Careers hunting are shocked by the two cannons but assume it's likely another mutt attacking tributes. They continue hunting and later in the afternoon they spot Fisher leaving a bathroom. He doesn't even see them before Sparkling shoots an arrow into his neck and he falls to the ground dead.
10. Fisher Duckworth, D7- shot in the neck by Sparkling Lockwood, D1
He doesn't have any supplies or weapons on him and the Careers don't care to look for them so they return back to the Cornucopia. At the Cornucopia, they are surprised that Eros and fear the worst. That night they aren't shocked to see his face in the sky.
Day Nine
The Careers are starting to run low on food and they're sponsors are providing less every day. Nova leads Angelica to the dining hall to find any food available there while Knox guards the Cornucopia and Dylan goes hunting alone. Nova and Angelica bring back some hot dogs and bottled water. Dylan doesn't have any luck hunting. Kord spends the day hiding in his food truck. Ever since Fisher died when he left to use the bathroom he hasn't left the food truck. He is out of water and there isn't any food left, Rose still remains in her exhibit trapped and unable to climb out. Amber heads back to the aquarium knowing that Krystal is no longer there. She finds the storage room that Krystal hid in and finds it covered in dried blood from when she died. The sight makes Amber nauseous and so she leaves to find another hiding place. She stays the night camped under the bleachers that look out over a large dried-up whale pool. Noa walks around the forested area for a bit but hasn't had much energy ever since Brynne died.
Day Ten
It has been days since Rose has had any food or water. She lies on the exhibit floor looking up at the sky above. It has been ten days since she jumped into the exhibit as she fled the bloodbath. Her stomach cramps so much and she cries but she's too dehydrated for any tears. She apologizes to her family and friends back home in Eight for not being able to do better. She would kill herself but she doesn't have a weapon to do it. A beeping noise catches her attention and she looks for a sponsor gift but it's something different. The side door slides open and a silver-colored gorilla mutt steps out. Rose shrieks in fear as the mutt charges towards her. She's frozen in fear as the mutt knocks her to the ground. The gorilla mutt raises its fists in the air and smashes them into Rose's chest. Her breath is knocked out of her as her ribs snap and her heart stops almost instantly.

This leaves the Final Eight; Sparkling Lockwood of One, Knox Hernandez and Nova Battles of Two, Kord Key of Three, Dylan Seawall and Angelina Hardy of Four, Amber Abrams of Nine, and Noa Trapp of Twelve.
Day Eleven
Not wanting the Games to end too soon the Gamemakers send in another thunderstorm. The tributes stay secluded from each other as they stay safe from the storm. Kord remains hidden in his funnel cake food truck, Amber is safe in the aquarium, and the Careers are in the Cornucopia. Noa faces the harshest conditions as he takes cover under a rock outcropping on the grassy plain. Noa barely hears the beeping of a sponsor gift over the howling wind but it lands right before him. He opens it and is thankful to find a rain jacket inside. It's not completely waterproof but it helps keep him warm.
Day Twelve
The storm continues to rage on and the tributes continue to stay within their sheltered places.
Day Thirteen
After two days of thunderstorms and without much action, Julius Falco himself announces the tributes in the arena, "This evening at sunset a feast will be held at the Cornucopia. Both supplies and food will be available. Congratulations for making it thus far and may the odds be ever in your favor." This would be the first feast since the second rebellion.
The day passes slowly as the tributes prepare for the feast. The Careers stand guard at the Cornucopia to prevent any other tributes from coming early. They place crates at the mouth of the Cornucopia to give them protection and to keep them hidden so they can attack the other tributes. As for the outlier tributes, Kord and Amber both plan to attend the feast. Meanwhile, Noa decides to opt out of the feast. He knows that the Careers will be prepared. His left arm is still not fully healed and he doesn't believe that he would be able to fight off any other tributes.
As the day dwindles to a close Kord leaves from his hiding place behind the dumpster and makes his way to the Cornucopia with a knife in hand. Kord makes it to the Cornucopia just before sunset. He notices the mouth of the Cornucopia built up with crates but he doesn't see any Careers. Just as the sun hits the horizon and ding goes off and a silver table rises from the ground. On the table sit backpacks, blankets, weapons, and first aid kits. The massive amount of food is what catches Kord's eye. Platters of meats, fruits, and desserts line the table. Kord rushes out into the open and makes it quickly to the table. He digs his hand into a bowl of chocolate pudding with whipped cream topping. As he licks the pudding from his hand he feels a sharp pain in his back. He chokes on the pudding and turns to see Knox standing behind him with a sword in his hands. Kord falls to the ground and he grunts in pain until his cannon booms.

Knox turns to the other Careers with his sword raised high, "Hell yeah add it to the kill count."
In that same moment Amber races in from the side of the Cornucopia and snatches a backpack from the table before taking off again.
"I've got her. I'm the fastest," Nova says without letting anyone else give input. She takes off after Amber with a spear in hand.
"The boy from Twelve might be nearby. Keep an eye out for him," Sparkling says. She draws her bow and scans the area.
With her back turned Dylan quickly takes a knife from his belt and slashes it across her throat. Sparkling falls to the ground gurgling. She tries to draw an arrow but Dylan kicks the bow from her hands. He turns to Knox but Knox is quick and tackles Dylan to the ground.

Knox pins Dylan to the ground and wraps his hands around Dylan's throat. Dylan sputters and tries to fight Knox off. He motions at Angelica but she only stands with a horrified look on her face. Tears start to swell in her eyes. Black spots start to dart across Dylan's vision but he manages to get a leg under Knox and kicks him in the groin. Knox rolls off of Dylan and moans in pain. Dylan staggers to his feet and looks for his knife but he's disoriented. Knox tries to get to his feet but Dylan kicks him in the side. Dylan rushes over to the table and picks up a machete. He turns around and hacks the blade into Knox's chest. Dylan continues to slash until his cannon booms.

Blood has splattered everywhere. Angelica sobs at the scene. "Shut up!" Dylan barks at her. "Just go to the back of the Cornucopia. I'll move the bodies and keep an eye out in case Nova comes back." Angelica leaves Dylan to do his thing and goes sit in the Cornucopia and tries to cry as silently as she can.
Nova continues to chase after Amber. Nova ignores the two cannons she's heard and only hopes that Knox is safe. Amber makes a left turn and Nova follows. Amber has met a dead end. Nova throws her spear and it impales Amber in the chest and her cannon soon booms.

With the sun almost completely set now, Nova takes her time heading back to the Cornucopia. She doesn't know what happened back at the Cornucopia and with it getting dark she doesn't want to get surprise attacked from the shadows. When she is almost back the anthem plays and the first two faces she sees are of Sparkling and Knox. Knowing that it's probably not safe for her to go back to the Cornucopia, Nova heads towards the dining hall to stay there for the night.
Day Fourteen
The next morning all tributes are on the move. After not attending the Feast yesterday, Noa realizes that he can't stay still today. Even though facing Careers with an injured arm may not be the smartest idea he doesn't want to face whatever the Gamemakers send after him. Nova wakes up early in the cafeteria she scours the cabinets for anything to eat. She finds a bag of stale tortilla chips and takes a few sips from a sink before leaving with her spear in hand. Dylan and Angelica are the last to wake up. Angelica hasn't spoken to Dylan since the events of the Feast but she knows that he is her best option to survive. They eat a quick breakfast of sausage and sweet bread a sponsor gift they received. "Let's head west, the Twelve boy is probably hiding in the forested areas," Dylan says grabbing his spear. Angelica only nods her head and grabs her daggers. She doesn't dare ask to go after Nova.
It's not until later in the evening that tributes meet. After searching through the forested area without any luck, Dylan stomps across the grassy plain in frustration. Angelica follows closely behind. The pair heads north when they spot Noa jogging away from the reptile house. He doesn't spot the District Four and they quickly catch up to him. Noa hears them approaching and turns around in shock. He doesn't have much time to react before Dylan throws his spear. It hits Noa in the chest with so much force he falls to the ground. It only takes a few seconds for his cannon to boom. Dylan laughs maniacally and rips the spear out of Noa's chest and starts pumping it in the air. Angelica only looks at him disgusted.

The sound of the cannon echoes through the arena. Nova realizes that the District Four pair must have found Noa. She had been searching the eastern part of the arena. She had been making a lot of ground. She knew that the Four pair likely weren't hiding so she didn't bother searching the exhibits and instead focused on covering as much ground as possible. She continues to hunt for Dylan and Angelica until the sun sets and the anthem plays. She isn't surprised to see Noa's face. With the anthem finished, Nova takes it as a sign that she isn't close to the Four pair. She decides to head back to the cafeteria to spend the night.
Day Fifteen
The District Four pair wakes up early for what they know will be the last day of the Games. The pair silently eat a breakfast of dried fruit and granola. Dylan asks Angelica if she wants him to cook any bacon or eggs but she only nods her head no. The events of the past few days have made her look at himdifferentlyy and see the Gamesdifferentlyy. She feels as if it's not worth winning if you have to become the monster that Dylan has become. After eating the pair grabs their weapons and stands guard at the mouth of the Cornucopia. "Do you think she will come to us or will we have to find her?" Angelica asks.
"She will come," Dylan says sternly.
On the southern side of the arena, Nova prepares for the final battle as well. She doesn't have any supplies other than her spear but receives a sponsor gift of some jerky, dried fruit, and a caffeine tablet. Nova thanks her sponsors for the extra bit of energy for the final day. Being the outlier of a District pair will be a tough battle for her to win. After finishing her breakfast, Nova grabs her sword and heads north toward the Cornucopia. Along the way, she spots a metal garbage can and decides to take the lid and use it as a shield. With two opponents to face, she will need extra protection. It doesn't take long before she reaches the center of the arena where Dylan and Angelica are waiting.
"Look who decided to join the party!" Dylan yells as he brandishes his spear, "Nice shield, Two."
Angelica eyes Dylan warily and grips her two daggers with her knuckles turning white.
"At least I'm not a traitor like you losers. You're both going to be as dead as the fish in your ocean!" Nova shouts before sprinting towards the pair.
Angelica takes a few steps back, but Dylan charges forward. He quickly catches up to Nova and lunges forward with his spear. Nova uses the trash can lid to parry the attack and turns with her spear out. Dylan is fast to react and dodges by sidestepping. Dylan thrusts his spear towards Nova's leg but she swats the spear away with her own. She swings the trash can lid and it knocks Dylan in the chest. He gasps for air as he swings his spear again. Nova easily dodges and swings the butt end of her spear and it collides against Dylan's temple. Dazed he stumbles a few steps and Nova shoves her spear into his chest and his cannon booms almost instantly.
3. Dylan Seawall, D4- stabbed in the chest by Nova Battles, D2
Nova looks for Angelica and finds her in the back of the Cornucopia crying. "It was Dylan's idea. I didn't want to kill Knox or Sparkling. I didn't want to become a monster. I don't want to be a monster. Don't become a monster, Nova." Tears, slobber, and snot run down Angelica's face. The once beautiful girl from Four had become an unrecognizable emotional mess. "Please, Nova, don't do this. Don't make them do this. Don't become a monster." Nova looks at Angelica with pity before thrusting the spear into her chest.

Nova leaves the Cornucopia with her bloody spear and trash can lid held high. "Congratulations, Nova Battles of District Two. You are the Victor of the 94th Hunger Games!"

Nova's Games is the first Games to have a feast post-rebellion.
Appearance: Nova is 5'7 and slender. She has long dark brown hair, tan skin, and brown eyes.
Family: Nova has two younger sisters and an older brother. Nova marries at the age of 23 and has two daughters and a son. None of her descendants participate in a Hunger Games.
Death: Nova dies due to a pulmonary embolism at the age of 87 four months before the 164th Games.
