Kim and Ron gulped nervously, unsure what to make of their current situation as they watched Dom speed away in Brian's car. Sure, they defeated Motor Ed's plan and all, but police were still after Dom. "We're going to catch a lot of flak from this, aren't we?" Kim asked nervously.
"No." Brian replied simply, confusing Ron and Kim. "I'll take the bait for this one. People need you two anyway." They then heard police sirens approaching the site where Dom crashed his Charger. "You two better get out of here. Go home."
Ron and Kim looked at each other and nodded. Then Ron shared one last handshake with Brian, and Kim gave him a last hug goodbye. "I hope we meet again soon." she said. Brian offered a sad smile at that before Kim and Ron hopped back into their car and drove off, leaving Brian to deal with the police himself.
A few days later...
A taxi cab pulled up in front of the Possible Household. Kim was very grateful that the mission ended and she was now home with her family. Though she was still nervous about Brian possibly getting fired for helping Dom escape, and about Dom living life on the run. But she'll always remember the lessons on family he and Mia had taught her. Kim exited out of the cab and went inside. "I'm home!" Kim called out. She then made her way to the dining room and smiled at her mother who was finishing up the table for dinner. Kim then hugged her from behind.
"Hi Kimmy!" Ann smiled at the sudden sign of affection coming from her daughter. "My, you certainly are affectionate tonight. How was the mission in LA?"
Kim gulped, but then smiled. "Everything went fine. So not the drama." Kim grinned before giving Ann another hug. "I just wanted to tell you how much I love you guys, even the Tweebs. You're the most important thing to me."
Ann was a bit perplexed, but touched nonetheless as she hugged her daughter back. "Aww...we love you too, honey. But now that you're back, would you mind helping me set the table?" she asked to which Kim nodded and got to work. "Oh, and you got a postcard from Mexico!"
Kim was confused. "Mexico?" she asked as her mother handed it to her. "Who's it from?"
"I don't know. No return address." Ann shrugged. Kim then took a look at the back of the postcard and found a very familiar message written on it.
"'I live my life a quarter mile at a time. Nothing else matters. For those ten seconds or less, I'm free.'" Kim read, a smile forming as she read the last line, knowing who it came from: Dom Torretto.
