Chapter One:

A Flash of Lightning

On Christophsis

Barry Allen groaned as he awakened to the sounds of explosions. He knew he was still alive, because it hurt too much to be dead. He sat up, holding his head. He looked around, at the unfamiliar buildings with turquoise spires, and…what looked like blue and crystallized trees? Barry looked up in the sky, and he knew he wasn't on Earth. He was on an alien planet, it seemed like. Under normal circumstances, he would be geeking out about being on an alien planet, but he'd just come out of a recent multiverse-ending crisis, and he was worried about home.

An explosion nearby snapped Barry out of his thoughts, getting too close, 'Plus, I seem to have landed in the middle of a war,' The Flash thought, 'Best to make myself scarce until I find out what's going on.' With that, his mask forming around his head, he vanished in a streak of lightning.

He raced through the streets, keeping to the shadows, though the lightning he was emitting wasn't probably doing Barry any favor. He needed to get to higher ground, to see what was going on. The Flash ran up the wall of a spired building, and around it along the way, then jumped over and landed on the roof, and stared at the sky, flashing with clouds of explosions.

Barry knew what he saw ahead was a war zone, but with no way of knowing where he was or how, it seems like going there was his only way of getting information. Besides, The Flash always had a reputation of running towards danger.

So with that decision settled, Barry took off running down the walls, before jumping over toward another roof, and hit it without losing momentum, leaving a trail of lightning.

Out in space, the battle raged on, with the blockade surrounding Christophsis still holding strong, Anakin Skywalker, newly minted Jedi Knight, stood on the bridge of his flagship, the Resolute, watching the battle with a focused determination, Admiral Wullf Yularen standing behind him at the holo-table. A beeping sound hailed an incoming message from the surface of Christophsis. Anakin nodded at Admiral Yuleran, who put it through and the blue-tinged image of Alderaanian Senator Bail Organa appeared.

"We're here, Senator," Anakin began, "What's the situation down there?"

"Separatist forces have overrun our position," Organa began, the sounds of explosions around him coming through, "and we are out of food, water and munitions. Our situation, Master Skywalker, is desper—" and the signal cut out.

"Senator Organa?" Anakin repeatedly hit the button, to no avail, obviously being jammed, just as a clone officer pointed to the viewport, "General, another cruiser's been hit."

Anakin walked away from the holo-table, sizing up the situation, "Master Kenobi better get here soon, or this is going to be one short rescue mission."

Anakin rubbed his left temple, still sensing the disturbance in the Force. Something had changed, and the Force… the Force felt like it was going to cry in either joy or panic. Anakin was sure he wasn't the only one who felt the change. He'd discuss this with Obi-Wan as soon as he arrived. Where was that old dug, anyway? It wasn't like him to be late.

He turned at the alarmed voice of his admiral, "The command ship is bearing down on us!"

Outside, the command ship began firing at the Resolute.

Yuleran turned to his bridge officers, "Full forward shields! Incoming fire!"

Anakin glared at the ship, "This isn't gonna be easy."

—*scene cut

On the surface, Barry slid to a stop, just near the war zone. If he'd wanted to, he could easily slip through the forces which looked like…robots? Barry hoped that this wasn't a robot apocalypse like in the Terminatormovies, or Ultron on Avengers: Age of Ultron. He went into Flashtime, an ability coined by his best friend, Cisco Roman, to assess the situation. He could see white-armored soldiers fighting against the robots. He sped through the slow-moving environment as only a speedster could.

He could see people—civilians, maybe?—huddled together, with the armored soldiers in front of them, obviously to protect them. But Barry still wasn't sure what kind of situation he had landed himself into. He ran further into the warzone until he found what he was looking for: a command center. Something told him that it would be better if he went into the area as a civilian. He looked around until he saw what he found…what looked like local clothes atop a crate, with one of the white armored soldiers standing behind it.

The trooper who called himself Star was bored out of his skull, having to stand guard over the civvies. Like his brothers, Star wanted to get into the fight. He jumped at the whoosh sound behind him. He turned around to see nothing…though he swore he saw electricity out of the corner of his eyes as he turned around. He looked around and still saw nothing. Maybe Star was getting tired. He knew he hadn't slept for four days since this siege started. He turned around to resume his post. It's only when he had a stray thought; 'Wasn't there a set of clothes on top of that crate?'

The trooper sighed, shaking his head. Maybe he could get a nap when he would be relieved.

By the time, the soldier turned around, Barry was already behind a corner, dressed in the clothes he'd 'borrowed,' already packing his suit into his ring. He smoothed himself and cautiously walked by the soldier, who called out to him, "Hey you! This is an unauthorized area!"

Barry turned around, acting surprised, "Hey, sorry. I was, um, looking for someplace private to take a leak, and I lost my way around while I was walking back. Which way to the civilian area?"

The soldier pointed in a direction, "That way, sir. Don't divert from it. It's dangerous out here."

Barry waved with a smile, "Thanks."

He walked towards the civilian area, looking around at the people huddled together. They looked human, so maybe there were other humans…in wherever Barry landed. He could only wonder if the other Paragons were alive…and if Oliver was still alive. He could see how bad Oliver was. He was one of the best heroes Barry knew. He could only pray he was alive, and so were the other Paragons…even Lex. Though Barry was sure that wherever Luthor ended up, he wouldn't be up to anything good. And everyone back home…Cisco, Caitlin, Joe….

"Iris," Barry whispered, very worried about his wife. He had to get back home, to find out what happened. He shook his head to clear his head. Moping around was not going to help, as Iris would have said. He had to move forward, to find the others, to find a way home. And he was not going to give up until he did.

He looked around to see if anyone was watching, then he went into Flashtime again, and walked through the now motionless area. He could see kids playing with a ball, trying to get the situation they were in off their minds, clearly. He could see couples hugging. And groups that looked like families holding each other as if they were afraid to let go. Barry knew that feeling. Ever since the murders of his mother and father each, he'd been grasping with a fear that what befell them could befall the family he'd made with Joe and Iris, and Cisco and Caitlin.

He could see others standing around an area of what appeared to be computers, and one man who appeared to be important. He definitely looked like he was standing regal, with how he held himself. Maybe he could help Barry…if he could convince him that he wasn't an enemy.

He hid himself in a corner, stepping out of Flashtime, as the people began to move in normal time again. He'd observe till he would get what information he could.

—*scene cut

The Negotiator came out of hyperspace, just in time to see the battle occurring, with its commander, Jedi Master Obi-Wan Kenobi observing everything from the holo-table.

"Looks like General Skywalker's already engaged the enemy," Commander Cody, his second-in-command, commented.

"That's nothing out of the ordinary," Obi-Wan wryly replied, "Especially since I gave him a direct order not to."

He pressed a button, contacting the Resolute, until he saw the image of his former Padawan, his back to him, "Anakin, I want you to withdraw."

Anakin turned to face him with incredulity written all over him, "Withdraw?"

"I brought a new toy that might give us an advantage."

Yularen was at the table, "With respect, General, now might not be a bad time to regroup."

Anakin stared at the display of the battle on the holo-table, then; "Tell the transports to fall back to Obi-Wan's position, we'll cover their retreat as they escape behind the moon."

Obi-Wan disconnected, and turned to Cody, "Get everything ready, Commander, we'll need to get these supplies through. These people need them."

"Yes, sir," Cody began to move, but paused at his general's posture, "Is something wrong, general?"

Obi-Wan snapped out of his thoughts, "Hmm? Oh, apologies, Cody. I was just…thinking. I felt a disturbance unlike any other I have ever felt in the Force. And I sense…that at least a partial answer to it might be there on Christophsis."

—*scene cut

Anakin stepped out of the shuttle he'd flew to Obi-Wan's ship, seeing his old master standing some distance, "Well, here I am. Tell me about this new weapon."

Obi-Wan smirked, "You're looking at it."

Anakin was confused, "I'm looking at what?"

Obi-Wan stepped back, "Two steps forward and you'd actually be kissing it," he raised his left fist and knocked on something solid that wasn't there, then nodded at the trooper holding a pad, who activated something, and suddenly, a huge, spire-looking ship began appearing in flashes of light, "It's a stealth ship."

When it fully appeared in visual sight, Anakin could say that he was impressed, "Hmm. That's some trick."

His old master nodded, "Let's hope the Separatists think so."

As Obi-Wan turned to walk along the ship, Anakin followed him, "So I assume scanners can't detect it?"

"As far as we know, but this is the first real field test."

"That's encouraging," Anakin replied wryly.

"I figured you'd be up to the challenge," Obi-Wan said, humorously.

"So I can move in undetected and take them out from behind."

Anakin continued studying the ship, "It's a pretty small ship to destroy a whole fleet. Are there more?"

"No, this is the prototype," Obi-Wan answered, "And you won't be on the offensive."

Anakin looked at him shocked, as Obi-Wan continued, "I need you to run a mercy mission down to the planet's surface. The ship can carry enough supplies for Senator Organa's headquarters."

Anakin was disgruntled, "Oh, I'm still the delivery boy? We don't need the whole fleet. I can do this myself."

"Anakin, slow down and do what I tell you," Obi-Wan patiently said, "It's more important to save lives than destroy ships. I need you to continue the mercy mission."

Anakin sighed, before moving on to a new topic, "Master, did you sense a disturbance in the Force earlier?"

"Yes, Anakin, I did. It's unlike anything I've ever felt," Obi-Wan crossed his arms, and stroked his beard, "And I imagine we're not the only ones who felt it. There's a great change coming, Anakin. And I'm not sure what to make of it, but I sense that part of it is on the planet's surface, which is another reason why I need you to complete the mercy mission. I believe whatever answers we seek will be found there."

Anakin frowned, nodding, "I'll see what I can find, Obi-Wan."

—*scene cut

On the surface, Barry was still leaning on the corner he'd hidden himself in, listening in. Apparently, there was a war going on between what was called the "Republic" and "Separatists," and that they were very, very low on supplies, and these robots, which the soldiers called "droids," didn't seem like they needed food or water, so Barry can't exactly search for supplies he could steal on the Republicans', as he'd chosen to call them, behalf.

The fighting was still going on, and the shells seemed to be getting closer. Barry had seen and done a lot of things, but ending up in the middle of an apparently galactic war was not on his list.

This Organa guy looks like he cares about his people, and he was surprised to see that the soldiers all had the same face, when two or three of them took their helmets off so they could eat. He guessed that they were triplets or something so he let it go for now.

Barry looked back at the crowd of civilians he'd passed through. They were all scared, and likely starving. Whatever was going on, Barry knew he wasn't going to leave…not at least until he'd try to help them.

That was when he heard a roaring sound and, he turned to see… a shell coming straight for the command center, with Organa and the others still in. He went into Flashtime again, looking at the situation, as it froze up in front of him. This wasn't his war, not really. But then he looked again at these people, innocent people caught in the crossfire. He knew what to do. Barry held up his fist with his ring, activating it, and his suit sprung out. And he and it were gone in a blur of lightning and red.

*scene cut

Bail Organa was standing in the center, when he saw the shell, he was about to warn the men to take cover, when…he was elsewhere within the civilian area. He was confused then he saw another of the men that was in the station appearing with what seemed like…a flash of lightning depositing another, and another, and another, until they were all here. Then he saw it. What appeared to be a reddish streak of lightning leaving the area.

He was not sure what he was witnessing, but this was something new. Something not even Jedi could do.

The Flash knew he'd just blown his cover, but it couldn't be helped, not with innocent people on the line. He approached the incoming droids, and hit them at about 150mph, which, for Barry, was cruising. He plowed through the lanky droids, leaving them in pieces. Sometimes, the Flash just smashed them, but at some points, the scientist in him just wanted to see how they worked, so he took some droids apart, like he would some machines back on Earth. Barry saw what looked like backpacks with antennas on the droids, and assumed that they were control pads, which meant that their signal could be cut, if he could figure out how.

One thing for sure, though, they sure acted kinda dumb for a bunch of robots.

"What was th—GHK!" a droid said before the Flash plowed through it.

"Hey, what's going on?"

"What's that blur—GAH!"

It was when the Flash stopped in front of them, holding one of the droids' guns, examining it.

"Hey, who are you?" one of the droids demanded.

"Where did he come from?"

Barry waved with a smile, "Hey, I'm the Flash. Nice to meet you."

"Nice to—hey! Was it you who was breaking us?"

Flash shrugged, "Guilty, just like I'm about to break you, too."

With that, the Flash plowed through the droids, vibrating through them, taking what seemed like important components from them, causing some of the droids to collapse to the ground.

He also took weapons from the droids, rendering them unarmed, and damaging the blaster guns at the same time so they couldn't use them again.

It was when he saw that the wave of the droids was down, or retreating, he decided to run back to the base.

—*scene cut

Bail and the troopers had walked outside the civilian area, when they saw an impossible sight, that same red blur of lightning was tearing through the droids, like it was nothing. Some were taken apart, sometimes by being demolished, sometimes, by disconnected at the joints. They were really shocked when that blur stopped to reveal that it was a man, dressed up in a strange, red suit, holding a gun, and then he moved again, this time, going through the droids, like a ghost.

Then the strange man in red ran back here, sliding to a stop in front of Organa and the troopers, who had weapons aimed at him.

The man held his hands up, "Whoa, whoa, I'm not the enemy," then, astonishingly, his mask deformed, revealing his face, which was a lanky man with brown hair, "My name is Barry Allen, and I'm the Flash. I'm here to help, if you'll let me. I just have a few questions, though."

Bail was stunned at the display of power, but shook his head, "I am Senator Bail Organa, representative of the Galactic Republic. It seems that your help was very timely, Mr. Allen. And from the looks of you, it appears that we might have some questions for you, as well."

Allen shrugged, "Sure, I'll answer them, if I can. I'll start: Where am I?"

Organa was confused, "You're on Christophsis, surely you know that?"

Allen shrugged, "Should I?"

Organa looked at him. This young man seemed honest. Even without a Jedi's senses, he could tell that there was no deception in him. Though this strange power he seemed to have did leave a lot of questions.

"I believe, Mr. Allen, we should discuss this more in a much better place," he gestured at him to follow him, as he ordered the troopers to stand down.

—*scene cut

Anakin was flying the cloaked ship through the battle, undetected by the enemy, when he sensed…a surge of power from the surface. It was… strange to say the least. He was sure his former master felt it as well.

Yuleran was standing behind him, having offered his services as a consultant, to deduce Admiral Trench's moves, once he realized that he was the commander of the blockade fleet they now face. "Are you all right, General?"

Anakin shook his head, "Sorry, Admiral. I've been feeling a strange disturbance in the Force. And it's been getting stronger since we arrived."

Yuleran was skeptical as he was not Force-sensitive, and he considered the Force as magic he couldn't understand.

—*scene cur

Admiral Trench, a spider-like alien, stared out the view shield, as his droid commander, a tactical droid, approached from behind, "I cannot calculate why the Republic fleet has not launched another attack."

Trench considered then clicked, "What is the status of the assault on Christophsis?"

The tactical droid paused, before answering, "I cannot calculate how it is possible, sir, but half of our forces have been destroyed apparently by an unknown variable."

Trench nearly leaped out of his chair in shock, "How is that possible? You assured me that they were very low on munitions."

"I cannot say how, but the possibility was at 00000.05% of them defeating our forces. Either, our forces were misinformed .."

"Or the Republic fools may have a secret weapon we did not know about. Get me General Loathsom, and send out Hyena bombers to the surface. That should not only draw our enemies from behind the moon, but also give our ground forces some air support until we discover what that weapon is."

—*scene cut

As Anakin piloted the ship through the enemy ranks, his copilot alerted him, "General, we have incoming bombers with fighter escort."

Anakin tensed up, as the clone pilot looked at the radar screen, "Enemy ships closing. 15,000. 14,000. 13,000."

"What's our defensive capability?" Anakin quickly asked.

"we've got torpedoes and anti-aircraft cannons, sir, but we'd have to decloak to use either."

"Yeah, and if they don't know we're here, that would give our position away pretty quickly."

As the bombers flew closer, the pilot continued to count down the distance, "9,000, 8,000."

Yuleran asked, anxious, "Have they detected us?"

The clone pilot shook his head, "Can't tell, sir."

Yuleran turned to Anakin, "If we are going on the offensive, we must do it soon."

Anakin focused on the flying, as he listened to the pilot's countdown, "5,000, 4,000,"

He could feel the tension thickening in the ship as he ordered, "Stay cloaked. Power everything else down. Let her drift."

The clones complied with his order.

The pilot kept counting down, "2,000, 1,000."

Yuleran was alarmed, "They're going to hit us!"

The pilot finally said, "500."

The clones were all tense, and Anakin couldn't blame them. He wasn't any better.

Then they passed the ship by.

Anakin was surprised, "They missed us. They don't know we're here."

Yuleran realized why a second later, "They're heading for Bail Organa in the command center. They're going to bomb it!"

—*scene cut

On the surface, as Barry and Senator Organa were talking, they heard the roar of engines from above and looked up as what seemed like weird-looking fighters coming their way, and a trooper shouted out, "Sir, we have incoming bombers!"

Barry and Organa looked up and saw the now-identified bombers, and dropping bombs. Fortunately for the people, Barry was able to instantly go into Flashtime, so he jumped over the paneling and ran towards the people, watching the descending bombs in slow motion. He managed to get every soldier and trooper out of the impact zones before the bombs hit. They were shaken up, but all alive, thanks to the Flash.

Organa steadied himself, as he ordered, "Get me General Kenobi!"

—*scene cut

Obi-Wan frowned as he listened to the blue image of Senator Organa, "We are under attack by the Separatist fleet. They're coming by air and by ground. However, thanks to a new friend I have made, the casualties are very low. But we cannot take any more of this."

Just then, Obi-Wan seemed to have seen a streak of electricity behind the senator. Just briefly, but it seemed unusual.

"We'll do what we can, Senator," Obi-Wan answered, ignoring the image for now.

Senator Organa nodded, "You're one of our only hopes, General. This friend I mentioned, he has…extraordinary abilities. You would have to see for yourself, as they defy explanations. He will give us as much time as he can, but we need help."

Cutting the com, Kenobi turned to Cody, "Get me Anakin."

Complying with the order, his second-in-command soon received the holo-image of his former Padawan, "Anakin, I've just spoke to the Senator, they're in dire need of our help. Continue with your mission to the planet's surface. I will engage Trench's flee with the ships I already have."

Yuleran seemed disagreeable with the plan, "General Kenobi, with all due respect, you do not have the resources to engage Trench openly. He wants you to attack, you'll be walking into a trap."

Anakin turned to Obi-Wan, "He's right, Master, you won't stand a chance."

Obi-Wan sighed, "Anakin, I've got enough problems without you becoming one of them. Get those supplies to the refugee camp. I'll worry about Trench. Just stay on course and—"

"Your tactic won't work," Anakin cut him off and turned to speak to his copilot, "Prep torpedo tubes one through four. Fix range on Trench's command ship."

Yuleran was surprised, as was Obi-Wan, "Sir?"

Anakin looked at him, "You heard me, Admiral."

"What are you doing?" Obi-Wan already knew the answer as soon as the last word left his lips.

Anakin didn't disappoint him, "We need to destroy Trench, and this ship has the best chance of doing that."

Obi-Wan felt frustration coming, "I want those supplies on the surface now."

Anakin had the smile that Obi-Wan always hated. It unnerved him. "Don't worry, I'm on it." He then cut off the transmission.

"Anakin!" Obi-Wan cried feeling the beginning of a migraine form, "Blast."

Cody looked at him, "General Skywalker's methods are unorthodox, but they always get results, sir."

Obi-Wan sighed, "Yes, Cody, but it's the unorthodox part that worries me. Get the ships ready in case Anakin needs the help."

Cody nodded, "Yes, sir."

—*scene cut

Barry could see that the bombers were coming in quickly, so he needed to give them a target for them to aim at. Fortunately, he knew how to do that. He ran up the side wall of a tall building and jumped off, landing on top of a bomber that was coming closer to his location. The Flash vibrated his hand through the hull and pulled out some wires, and steered it towards another bomber, then he leaped off before the bombers collided.

He was high enough for them to see his lightning trial, so the next step: keep their attention on him and not on the people. Barry ran down another building, once his feet were in contact, making sure to slow down so they could see his lightning. He looked back and saw that they were on him. And they started throwing bombs at him, which Barry easily dodged.

Good, he thought, smiling, then once he was sure that he'd gotten the bombers to a deserted area, with no life, unless you could artificial life, such as droids, Barry ran up on a very tall, spired building, the bombers almost on his heels, building up enough speed and electricity for a trick he was sure those droids have never seen.

Once The Flash was ready, he jumped off the tip of the spire high in a spin, his lightning swirling around him, and he hurled a ball of lightning at the bombers, and that ball went through them, like chain links, or chain lightning. The bombers exploded on contact, and what was left of them now was falling directly on a legion of droids.

Barry ran down the building, his speed plowing through what was left of the droids, as he returned to base.

—*scene cut

Bail was shell shocked at the display of power Mr. Allen had demonstrated. He was still wrapping his head over the kind of abilities he had, as he watched through the scopes. This mysterious man had literally thrown lightning at the bombers after he'd lured them away from the base. And he couldn't believe how fast he was moving. He'd known that Jedi could move fast, but they were nowhere this fast.

He jumped as the red-clad man stopped in front of him, "All right, that should give us a bit of time before they send the waves. I hope your pilots can stop them before we get more."

Bail tried to speak, his mouth opening and closing, before he shook his head clear, "Y-yes, of course. I trust the Jedi will do their jobs. I know these two personally. I can only hope they can—"

"SIR!" a trooper interrupted, "We've got inbound tanks coming! And it looks like they've got a legion of them!"

Bail cursed, and turned to the hero who called himself the Flash, "Mr. Allen, can you-?"

But as he spoke, Bail felt wind in his face, as there was now an empty spot where the fast-moving red-clad man was.

—*scene cut

The Flash was already running halfway towards the tanks, his mind racing options at the speed his feet were moving. As far as he could see, there was only one option of stopping all the tanks, without being overwhelmed. As fast as Barry was, even he couldn't bust all the robots and tanks before they approached the range they needed, so he came up with an idea that could take them out.

The Flash began running in a huge circle, picking up speed, his lightning leaving a trail behind him.

"Hey, what's going on? Why is there a circle of light?" One droid asked.

"I think that's actually lightning."

Suddenly the winds started to move against them.

"Hey, what's happening?" the droids were starting to panic, as the winds started to pick up and the lightning started to strike at them.

Barry was pushing himself more and more, while throwing lightning at the droids, like he did against the Earth-X Metallo robot two years before.

And as the circle of lightning and wind kept going, Barry, with a yell, broke the sound barrier, causing a sonic boom, and he could feel himself almost lifting off the ground, which meant it worked. He ran out and stopped a few yards from the area, and he saw his handiwork:

He'd managed to create a twister of winds and lightning, and he could see the droids and tanks being carried around in the air and smashing against each other. He grinned, before running off back to the command center.

—*scene cut

A few moments earlier, as Anakin flew through the lasers after having revealed himself to Trench, he gasped as he felt a surge in the Force, and, when he looked down at his hands, his eyes widened, as he saw himself being covered with electricity, yet he wasn't being electrocuted. The others were as astounded as he was.

"General, are you alright," the clone pilot asked.

Anakin stared at his hands and body which was still sparking, "I…I don't know. I'm not hurt, but I don't know what's going on."

—*scene cut

On the Negotiator, Obi-Wan's reaction wasn't any better, as he stared at the electric energy flowing through his body. Cody and everyone else on the bridge stood beyond shocked and speechless.

When Cody found his words, "Sir, are you alright? What's going on?"

Obi-Wan stared at himself, "I'm not sure, but clearly, I'm feeling a great surge of power within the Force, so powerful that it's become evident." He stared out at the planet, "The answer must be on that planet."

After a moment, the energy stopped appearing, and Obi-Wan turned to his commander, "Get Anakin on com, immediately."

—-*scene cut

On the spired ship, Anakin received the holo-image of his old master, who was as befuddled as he was at what happened, after having the ship cloaked again.

Obi-Wan began, "I assume you had the same occurrence as I did, Anakin?"

"I did, Master. What in the name of the Force is going on?"

Obi-Wan opened his mouth, only to be interrupted by one of the troopers, Spark, "Excuse the interruption, generals, but there's a transmission on the open frequency, it's the enemy."

Anakin and Obi-Wan looked at each other, deciding to table this for later, "Put it through."

Soon, the holo-image of a spider-like alien appeared beside Obi-Wan's image, and Anakin couldn't help but commenting, "Hello, ugly."

The holo-image began clicking, "I am Admiral Trench. If you are listening, Jedi, you've made a bold move and a grave mistake."

Anakin and the others said nothing, as Trench continued, "I appreciate your decision to face me, ship to ship, to play this little game. It's been so long since I had a worthy opponent. You have an impressive new vessel, but I warn you, I have dealt with its kind before."

Anakin and Obi-Wan looked at each other, alarmed, as Trench continued, "Your technology will not save you. And your friends on the planet below shall perish as a result of your failure."

Trench clicked, as he finished, "The people of Christophsis and her resources shall join the Separatist Alliance. Turn back now, retreat while you can, for I am your doom."

Trench's transmission cut off, as Yuleran spoke the concerns they all shared, "He said he's dealt with this kind of ship before."

Anakin was wondering that, too, "How? Obi-Wan, can you check if there are any records about that?"

Obi-Wan was conservating with Cody, before turning to Anakin, "I'm one step ahead of you, my old Padawan. Wait a moment, while we investigate."

—*scene cut

"I calculate the Jedi will not turn back as you request, Admiral," the tactical droid reported, aboard the command ship.

Trench gave out a clicking chuckle, "Of course not. I do not expect him to. He'll attack again. A stealth ship could have passed our blockade easily, this Jedi chose to attack."

—*scene cut

After looking over the information Cody had handed him, Obi-Wan looked at Yuleran, "You were right, Admiral, there are records of Trench's battles and a few against ships with cloaking devices."

"And?" Anakin egged his old mentor.

"It seems, in each case, he used tracking torpedoes to hit the ship somehow whether it was cloaked or not."

Yuleran pondered this, "Then he knows a way of detecting us."

"Tracking torpedoes? Hmm." Anakin thought about this, before asking Obi-Wan, "What class ship was he fighting?"

"Mostly cruiser to cruiser, nothing as small as your ship."

"Well, no ship this small usually has a cloaking device," his mind was working, "Maybe he's tracking the magnetic signature…"

He turned to Kenobi, "Thanks, Obi-Wan. Hold off your attack until we destroy Trench."

Obi-Wan rubbed his eyes, "Might I remind you that this was not your mission?"

"You might," Anakin replied wryly and cut the transmission before Obi-Wan could get any words in, and turned to Yuleran, "Admiral, prepare to disengage cloaking device and fire."

Yuleran complied with the speed of a professional, before yelling out, "Battle stations!"

Anakin waited until he heard the clone commander reported to Yuleran, "Admiral, we are ready and waiting."

Yuleran looked to the Jedi, "Your move, General."

Anakin made it, "Fire!"

Outside, the ship decloaked and fired off the torpedoes.

As the torpedoes flew to their target, Anakin said, "Re-cloaking in five, four…"

The ship cloaked again, as the torpedoes hit the shields.

He watched as a few minutes later, the shields dropped and torpedoes were fired from the command ship.

Yuleran sounded a bit concerned, "General, I really hope you know what you're doing."

"So do I, Admiral," Anakin admitted.

As the torpedoes got closer, Anakin made a hard right, allowing the torpedoes to follow him.

In the back, Skywalker heard, "General, the cloaking is active, but they're locked onto our magnetic signature."

Anakin smirked, "He took the bait. Turn off the cloaking device, divert all power to the engines."

He piloted the ship towards the command ship. Anakin counted on them dropping the shields, and it would take too long for the shields to recharge by the time Anakin got there.

He stepped up the speed, when suddenly he felt that surge of energy again, but this time, it spread to the control panel, and the ship's hulls. He could…feel it go faster.

Anakin still had no idea what this power was, but right now, he wasn't complaining, as he got closer to Trench's ship, close enough so he could see Trench watching out the window.

He'd gotten a head start on the torpedoes, which made their impact on the command ship, and exploded, destroying the bridge, with the rest of the ship to follow.

As sudden as it came, the energy had gone.

"General," Yuleran asked, "What was that? I felt the ship go faster, as if it was about to jump into hyperspace, but not…quite."

"Honestly?" Anakin turned to his admiral, "I don't know, but it saved us. Those torpedoes were getting too close, enough to hit us, and then…this. I don't know what's going on, but maybe now that Trench is gone, we can get these answers."

Obi-Wan made contact just now, "Anakin? Are you all right? I saw what happened to the ship."

"Yeah, I'm fine, Obi-Wan," Anakin answered, "I don't know what happened, but this energy…it seems to be mixing into the Force somehow. But I don't know what it is."

Obi-Wan sighed, "Well, regardless, as much as I hate to admit it, but good job, Anakin. We're beginning our attack on the Separatist fleet."

"Have fun," Anakin smirked, "I'll be delivering the supplies to the surface, Master."

Obi-Wan shook his head in amused exasperation, before cutting the transmission, as the ship finally made its way to the surface.

Once on the surface, the locals moved into the ship to get the crates out, as Senator Organa approached Anakin, "General Skywalker, I have no idea how you did it, but you saved a great many lives today."

Anakin nodded, sensing that energy even stronger now, but before he could ask the senator about it, Yuleran approached him, "Well, looks like we make a pretty good team."

Yuleran considered, "I must admit, I am a bit surprised at the reckless nature of your tactics, though I cannot argue with the results."

Anakin had to laugh at that, "Well, you'll find I like to do things, uh, differently from time to time."

"Indeed," Yuleran agreed, "the Chancellor mentioned as much, though he insisted it was the highest compliment."

Yuleran was about to walk off, when they saw a…strange thing…a reddish trail of yellow electricity make its way towards the duo and the senator, stopping in front of them, revealing what appeared to be a young man dressed in a strange red suit.

He smiled at the senator, who smiled back, "The droids are re-routed, Senator. I don't think they'll try that again."

Anakin and Yuleran were stuck speechless, their eyes wide, as Organa chuckled, "Well, as you can see, we had some help."

The man's mask, amazingly, seemed to deformed, revealing a youthful face with brown hair and green eyes. He held out a hand, "Hi, my name is Barry Allen, but they call me the Flash."

Anakin stared at him, sensing the incredible energy from him. Up this close, he felt this power, as if it could power a few dozen planets. And Anakin thought the Force was powerful.

Shaking his head, "Uh, yeah, I'm Anakin Skywalker, Jedi Knight." He grasped Allen's hand, "It's nice to meet you."

There was an awkward silence for a long while…

End Chapter One

Author's notes: Just so you know, Free man writer told me that in the original version of his Infinite Wars story before he rebooted it, he had Quicksilver dropped on Christophsis, and now I got the Flash on that planet. Talk about fate. Heh. Anyway, I hope you like this chapter, because I'm working on a lot of shit, and while it probably won't be as impressive as Frees' story, I'm gonna make sure it will be a great ride.

Until next time.
