A Song of Ice, Fire & the Dead

Chapter 32: A Surprising Confession

Riding up to Kaer Trolde, everyone dismounted their horses and tethered them to the posts that stood against the wall of the gatehouse. Already there was the growing sound of the wake going on inside the keep of the garrison and people were slowly trickling in with the promise of food and strong alcohol tempting them to join.

Cerys had been waiting for them and perked up when she saw them, "Ah, here for the wake, I see?" she remarked.

"Not quite. We're here to see the armourer first," Saeko told her. "This is Geralt of Rivia. Yennefer's friend," she then informed the auburn-haired girl who smiled in a friendly way at the Witcher who nodded in greeting.

"So, what is it you need to see the armourer for?" Cerys then asked after she exchanged pleasantries with the Witcher.

"Ser Geralt has taken us as apprentices, and we're getting fitted with armour to accompany him on his journeys throughout Skellige," Aegon replied. "From the look of his own armour, I daresay say that Saeko and I would be appropriately fitted out," he then said.

"You will be," Geralt confirmed. "I have the materials needed for this, just need to get your measurements and the armourer should do the rest. Might need to get you some silver blades too," he said.

"Silver blades?" Aegon echoed before saying, "Ah, Lady Yennefer mentioned that most monsters of this world can be killed more effectively with a silver blade," he said as he remembered that detail. "I should be fine. My sword is made of Valyrian steel and so far, it has been effective against monsters such as drowners and ghouls," he told the Witcher.

"Valyrian steel? Never heard of it before," Geralt muttered.

"Can't imagine you would have," Aegon replied as he drew Blackfyre and held it flat in his hands to show the Witcher whose cat-like amber eyes picked over the details in surprise.

"Strange… never seen a sword like this," the man observed. "Steel, no… Dark steel, maybe?" he said to himself as his eyes seemed to examine the dark rippling metal of the smoky blade. "Medallion hums a little… forged with magic, perhaps. Dimeritium? Possible," he muttered.

"May I?" the Witcher then asked Aegon who passed it to him carefully. Geralt held the sword flat in his hand, the blade resting on his palm as he tested the weight of it and he spoke aloud of his observations, "Practically weightless," he remarked in slight surprise. Scraping a bare thumb against the edge, the Witcher then said, "Sharp too," as the sharp blade scraped off a layer of skin on the pad of his thumb. "Only a Witcher's sword or one made by a master swordsmith could compare to this," he added as he handed the sword back to Aegon.

"Where did you come by this sword?" the Witcher then asked.

"It's been in my family for generations since the Doom of Valyria where Valyrian steel was forged," Aegon said to the white-haired warrior. "It was used by my ancestor Aegon the Conqueror when he began his conquest of the Seven Kingdoms and was called thereafter the Sword of Kings and passed down from King to king, at least until Aegon the Unworthy passed it on to his bastard Prince Daemon Waters instead of his lawful son Prince Daeron, soon after Daemon took the name of the sword, Blackfyre, for his own house's name," he explained.

"Interesting, does that mean you are a Blackfyre?" Geralt asked him.

Aegon's face fell at this and in an uneasy voice he replied, "That's what I'm trying to find out, really. It's another reason I want to go to Novigrad as there is an Oneiromancer who could possibly help me."

"An Oneiromancer, huh? I know the one you speak of; Corinne Tilly," Geralt said with a nod of his head.

"You've met her?" Saeko asked the Witcher who nodded and replied, "Yeah, she helped me find out what happened to Ciri when she was in Novigrad. I'm following Ciri's trail, trying to find her before the Wild Hunt does."

"You care about her a lot, don't you?" Saya asked.

"Mhm. Raised Ciri since she was a girl," the Witcher replied. "Trained her at Kaer Morhen and been through hell and back and then some, making sure that no-one would try to use her for their own ends," he said. A slight grimace came over his face as he added, "She's always tried to do things on her own, but I wanna be there for her, make sure nothing bad happens to her."

"We gathered as much," Saeko stated. "So, getting back on topic: what kind of armour did you have in mind for Aegon and I?" she asked.

Geralt gave a slight smirk before pulling out a sheathe of parchment from his horse's saddlebags and replied, "Got a few ideas. Depends on your skill sets. Let's go see the armourer."

"Alice and I will go with Cerys," Saya then said to Aegon and Saeko, both of whom nodded and said they would see them later. Saya then looked at Aegon and added, "I'd also like to talk to you about something, you and Saeko both." With that Saya went off with Cerys and Alice into the keep.

Leading Aegon and Saeko into the nearby blacksmith and armourer's workshop, they were greeted with the sound of metal being hammered and the smell of white-hot metal and smoke. Seeing the team of blacksmiths and armourer working hard to fix up brigandines and hauberks, as well as sharpening swords and axes on grindstones.

The Witcher walked to the foreman of the shop, Geralt greeted the man, "Greetings. I need some armour made for my two companions," he informed the man.

As Geralt spoke with the foreman, Aegon spoke with Saeko, "What kind of armour do you think you'd want?" he asked his girlfriend.

"Not sure. I've never really worn armour, except for sparring armour during kendo practice," Saeko admitted. "How about you?" she asked looking at Aegon. "You ever wear armour before?" she enquired.

"I have," Aegon confirmed. "And I will say that it does get pretty hot wearing full plate armour, particularly on warm days," he said in jest.

"Hm. Not overly keen on boiling myself alive in full plate armour," Saeko mused. "Maybe something light, but able to protect me easily enough," she said to herself.

"If Ser Geralt's armour is anything to go by, then neither of us should worry," Aegon stated as Geralt came back over and spoke to them.

"Negotiated a good price for you both," the Witcher told them. "Just need to get your measurements then decide what kind of armour you both want," he said.

"May we see what kind of armour you have to show us?" Aegon asked.

"Of course," the White Wolf replied as he pulled some sheathes of parchment from his satchel and laid them out on a nearby bench. "Found these diagrams while on the Continent search for Ciri," he said. "Both are sets of armour belonging to the School of the Cat and the School of the Griffin," he informed them.

"Schools? What does that mean?" Saeko asked.

"Hm. Forgot you don't know," Geralt muttered. "There are six guilds of the Witcher trade, each called schools and have an animal as their sigil," he began. "The School I belong to is the School of the Wolf. Then there are the School of the Bear, the Griffin, the Cat, the Viper and the Manticore; each School has a specialty," he explained.

"What kind of specialties?" Aegon asked.

"The School of the Griffin, sometimes called the School of the Eagle, has an emphasis on magical studies and keeps the knightly virtues of the Order of Witchers from which all the Witcher schools split off from," Geralt told him. A slightly sad smile came over the Witcher's face as he said, "I had a friend who was once a Witcher of the Griffin School; Coen, he was forced to spend his winters at Kaer Morhen when anti-witcher sentiments caused the deaths of Griffin Witchers in revenge killings."

"Is he still around, this Coen?" Aegon asked conversationally.

"He died," the Witcher said simply.

"Oh. Sorry I asked," Aegon mumbled.

"Don't be. You hadn't known," Geralt said firmly. "Griffin School is a blend of flexibility and protection; it's not so flexible as say Cat School armour and it doesn't offer as much protection as something like full plate, but it's a nice medium between both," he then explained. "And from what I've heard, Griffin School armour even helps boost the intensity of Witcher signs," he added.

"Witcher signs?" Saeko echoed.

"Magic," Geralt supplied helpfully and Saeko nodded in understanding before she asked, "And what about the Cat School? Can you tell me anything about them?"

A grimace came over the Witcher's face before speaking. "The Cat School are considered pariahs amongst other Witchers, mostly due to the fact that they accept contracts on killing humans, which is against the Witcher Codex. In the beginning, their ideals were lofty in that they wanted to surpass the Order of Witchers in becoming the most respected Witcher school throughout the world, but it sadly changed over the centuries." Another grimace came over the White Wolf's features as he then said, "I recently encountered a Witcher from the Cat School not so long ago while in Velen."

"What happened?" Saeko asked.

"I learned that he slaughtered nearly an entire village after killing a monster troubling them after they refused to pay him what they promised," Geralt said grimly.

"They tried to cheat him, then?" Aegon asked and Geralt nodded. "Perhaps they got what they deserved," he then said lightly.

"Maybe, but that doesn't justify killing an entire village leaving only one survivor," Geralt said sharply.

"I suppose not," Aegon said quietly. "What did you do when you met this Cat Witcher?" he enquired.

"I let him go," Geralt said simply.

"You let a man who slaughtered an entire village go free?" Aegon asked in surprise and even Saeko looked surprised at this admission from Geralt. "After what you said before?"

"I know what it's like to be looked down on as a filthy mutant; people begging me for help then spitting as I walk by or even trying to cheat me out of a promised reward," Geralt said unapologetically. "Folk call me the Butcher of Blaviken and for good reason. Sometimes… sometimes heads just roll," he added with a look of bitterness and regret in his eyes.

Aegon and Saeko looked at each other and wondered just what had happened for the man before them to be called such an ominous title; they could only guess that he must've slaughtered people for no apparent reason as well.

"So, what is the Cat School armour like?" Saeko asked quietly moving the conversation back to the original topic at hand.

"Cat School armour is designed with an emphasis on speed, agility and flexibility, and their training involves in not dealing large amounts of raw damage, but in dealing devastating critical blows to their foes," Geralt replied. "And judging from your build, I daresay you too have a style that involves dealing a deadly critical blow to your opponent," he said dryly as he looked Saeko up and down.

Saeko nodded in agreement and replied, "When facing Them¸ I focussed on putting my opponents down as quickly as possible while moving as They were often many times stronger than regular humans and came in great numbers."

"Them? They? What do you mean by that?" Geralt asked.

Saeko looked at Aegon who nodded in encouragement. Looking at the Witcher, Saeko then said, "What I refer to is the unfortunate people who somehow became undead monstrosities back home. I don't know who it was that started calling those poor things Them and They, but I can only guess that it was to separate them from the living and could not longer be considered human."

"Undead, huh? Maybe some kind of curse," Geralt muttered to himself. "Any idea what created Them?" he asked.

"No one knows," Saeko said shaking her head in response. "They just appeared out of nowhere one day and in a matter of hours, days at most, our world had fallen into ruin," she explained. "A bite from one of Them, even a single scratch, is enough to turn you into of Their number."

"Like Lycanthropy," Geralt muttered.

"Lycanthropy?" Aegon parroted the word.

"Werewolves. Skin-changers. Men and women who are cursed to turn into monstrous wolf-like creatures often during a full-moon," the Witcher explained.

Saeko nodded and continued, "As Their ranks continued to grow in number, the living fell to more base instincts, forgoing human decency, whether to survive or even act on desires that would be frowned on," she said.

"I can understand that. Times of conflict often have people acting on darker impulses. It's happening on the Continent as we speak," Geralt said grimly.

"All the more reason we must get to the Continent and make sure our friends are safe," Aegon said firmly.

"And what do you plan on doing afterwards?" Geralt asked seriously.

"What?" Aegon squawked in surprise.

"Say you find your friends and make sure they're safe, what will you do afterwards?" the White Wolf asked him.

Aegon opened his mouth to reply, but he faltered as he realised that the Witcher had asked a valid question. What was the plan afterwards? And the young warrior realised that he had no further plans after what they planned to do.

"I… don't know," he finally said after a moment. "I hadn't thought that far ahead," he added sheepishly.

"Neither have I," Saeko admitted.

"Well, now that I've brought it up, best you think about what you want to do after you find your friends," Geralt told them. "Changing the subject, now I've shown these diagrams, which do you want to have made?" he asked them.

Saeko examined the diagrams of the Cat School armour and nodded, "I prefer to keep moving in a fight, so I think this armour will suit me best." Looking at Aegon, she asked him, "Which one do you want, Egg?"

Aegon examined the diagrams for a long moment before nodding, "I think I'd like the Griffin armour. The Sigil of My foster father's house, House Connington, was a pair of Griffins," he said with a smile. "I think he'd like that were he here to see this," he added with a melancholic smile.

"Thinking of home again?" Saeko asked her boyfriend with a smile on her lips.

"Mhm. One day I will return home, for peace of mind if anything," Aegon replied.

Geralt nodded at this and asked, "So you've made your decision?"

"We have, Ser Geralt," Aegon said speaking for both him and his girlfriend.

"Well, alright then," Geralt said with a ghost of a smile before speaking to the armourer who nodded and brought out a measuring tape to take Aegon and Saeko's measurements.

As they had their measurements taken, Geralt then said to Saeko, "I noticed you only had a steel sword on you. Might be that we get you a silver blade as well."

"Yes. I had a hard time against drowners with my own sword, so I would need something better to fight them with," Saeko said in agreement.

"Excuse me, but perhaps I can be of some assistance?" And walking into the workshop came Yennefer wearing an elegant black and white dress with the skirt going down to cover her entire legs and feet.

"Yen? You have a silver sword handy to give our friend here?" Geralt asked in surprise.

"Indeed. Both a silver and steel sword, and another set of swords as well," the sorceress replied. "I was going to give them to you, but looking at Lady Saeko's sword, I think she'd be able to use them better then you could," she said teasingly.

"You have swords similar to mine?" Saeko asked in confusion.

"Yes. They were given to me by the Emperor of Nilfgaard who received them from an envoy from a far-off kingdom to the far east," Yennefer replied. "My first thought when I saw them was that they were some kind of sabre, but I'm not an expert on swords, I will freely admit that much," she said dismissively.

"Could we perhaps see these swords?" Saeko hopefully.

"Of course. Once we're done here, I can take you to my lodgings and show you them," Yennefer said kindly.

After getting their measurements taken and Geralt handed over coin and materials to the armourer, Yennefer led them all down to the harbour town to the inn.

Once inside, Yennefer walked over to a large chest that hugged the wall and opened it. She rummaged around for a moment before giving an "Aha!" of triumph and pulled out four swords. Saeko's eyes lit up when she saw the pair of katanas the sorceress held in her arms.

"Katanas?" the samurai asked.

"Is that what you call these kind of swords?" Yennefer said and Saeko nodded. "Well, these beauties were given to the Emperor by an envoy, as I said earlier. They're titled the Nine-Tailed Vixen swords, both steel and silver respectively," she explained.

"May I?" Saeko held out her hands and Yennefer handed over the katanas to her. Saeko held them in hands, getting a feel for the weight of them and she smiled. "Practically weightless and finely balanced." Using her thumb, she pushed the swords out of their sheathes to reveal the heel of the blades; one was a bright silvery grey colour indicating that it was pure silver and the other blade was a silvery steel colour. "Isn't silver a poor metal to forge a blade from?" Saeko asked Yennefer who looked at Geralt who then spoke.

"It's true silver is a poor choice to make a blade out of, but there are ways to circumvent such a weakness. One such way is to coat a steel or alloy it with another metal such as meteorite steel to give it strength and make sure it holds an edge," the Witcher explained.

"Meteorite steel? Just like House Dayne's ancestral sword Dawn!" Aegon exclaimed in excitement.

"There's a sword made from meteorite where you're from?" Yennefer asked.

"Aye. Dawn, the ancestral sword of House Dayne that dates back to when the First Men came to Westeros," Aegon said. "The founder of House Dayne followed a shooting star and where it landed, he raised his castle and from the heart of the star that fell, he forged the sword of House Dayne, Dawn. Pale as milk glass, but as hard, sharp and strong as Valyrian steel. Only the greatest knight of house Dayne may wield it and be known as the Sword of the Morning," he recounted.

"Interesting. Who was the last known wielder of Dawn?" Geralt asked.

"The last living wielder of Dawn was Ser Arthur Dayne, a member of my Grandfather's Kingsguard, but he was slain at the Tower of Joy by Lord Eddard Stark who could've taken Dawn for himself, but chose to return the sword back to the Daynes out of respect for Ser Arthur," Aegon replied.

"Interesting. It'd be interesting to see such a weapon," Geralt remarked. He then looked at Yennefer and asked, "And what about those swords?"

"These were a gift from Francesca of Dol Blathanna," the sorceress replied. "They were an attempt by the Emperor's swordsmiths to create weapons that would please the Elves, but they weren't impressed by the quality, so Francesca had them improved and sent back to Emhyr as a gift who then gave them to me," she explained.

"And how is the duchess of Dol Blathanna faring these days?" Geralt asked dryly.

"She's trying to stay neutral in the war between Emhyr and Radovid and refuses to budge from her realm with a war raging, especially with Radovid's mage hunter exterminating any mage they find and they'll soon move to non-humans next," Yennefer said grimly.

"Thought as much," Geralt muttered. "So, these swords were a gift from his Illustrious Grace?" he asked sarcastically.

"Indeed. But, I think they'd better off in your hands, Geralt, or perhaps in Mr Aegon's hands?" Yennefer looked at Aegon who raised an eyebrow in surprise.

"I already have a sword. Not to mention this axe I found," Aegon admitted.

"Axe?" Geralt said.

"Aye. This one in fact," Aegon replied as he brought out Leviathan from his back. "According to Ermion, this axe is said to bring about the end of the world when it will be used to slay a beloved god," he said. "And it's bonded itself to me," he added grimly.

"May I have a look at it?" Yennefer asked and Aegon offered the axe to take. Yennefer lifted it from the young Valyrian's grasp and examined it all over. "Magic was used to forge this, very old magic," the sorceress said slowly out loud. "Almost icy to the touch." A nimbus of magical energy flew from her fingertips as she touched the stony-looking blade and bright blue-white light flared out from the axehead and a sheen of frost coated the blade. "Very old magic, and it waits to be awakened," Yennefer stated in surprise.

She handed the weapon back to Aegon and said to him, "I'll wager that if you start to use that axe, it's power will begin to awaken and grow with you."

"So, I could use magic possibly?" Aegon asked in eagerness.

"Perhaps, but I would need to examine you further to determine if you can use magic at all," Yennefer replied. "But that can wait for the time being, it's almost time for the wake. And we will need to change in appropriate attire," she said as she glanced at Geralt who grimaced at this.

"I hate feasts!" the Witcher muttered, his voice almost a growl.

"I know you do, Geralt dear," Yennefer said with an amused smile. "I shan't try and force you, but you could make yourself half decent for this evening," she told him.

"Come to think of it, you could do with a shave, Egg," Saeko said to her lover who ran a hand over his jaw and his eyes widened in surprise.

"I'd forgotten I was growing a beard," the Valyrian admitted.

"You are. But it does make you look a little more manly and grown-up," Saeko said with a twinkle in her eyes. Aegon smiled bashfully at this, and Geralt and Yennefer had amused looks in their eyes.

"Well, aren't you two the cute couple?" Yennefer teased and Aegon bowed his head in embarrassment whereas Saeko simply looped her arms around his arm and pressed a swift kiss to her lover's lips which made him squawk in alarm.

"Well, you'd best freshen up, you two," Yennefer told them. "You can use the shaving bowl in the next room. Geralt? I've left some suitable clothing in the chest for you to wear, but I shan't force you to wear them if you don't want to," she said as she then left the room.

After the sorceress left, Saeko looked at the Witcher and asked, "Are you and Yennefer close as I think you are?"

Geralt gave a slight grimace at this and replied, "It's… complicated and I'd rather not get into it right now." Without saying anything else, he moved over to the chest and began to sift through it before giving a snort and left the room.

"I think we touched a nerve there," Aegon whispered to Saeko who nodded sagely.

After having a quick shave, Aegon then left the inn with Saeko following him. Rubbing a hand over his freshly shaven jaw, he muttered, "Bit of a strange feeling, really."

"What is?" Saeko asked.

"Having shaven after so long feels strange," Aegon replied. "I feel more a boy than a man now," he complained.

"I rather like it," Saeko teased. "And I'm sure Saya will too," she added.

"Speaking of, Saya wants to talk to us both. I wonder what for?" Aegon wondered out loud.

Saeko had a slight frown on her face before saying, "I have a pretty good idea, but it shouldn't be to worrisome."

"What is it she wants to talk to us about?" Aegon asked looking at his girlfriend.

"I'd rather not make any assumptions right now," Saeko said primly. "It might be nothing, but I don't want to assume," she added.

"Very well," Aegon said not wanting to press any further as they made their back to Kaer Trolde.

Soon, Saeko and Aegon entered the grand hall where the feast was in full swing with the scent of fire roasted meats and honeyed mead and spirits filling the air, and the noise of singers and bagpipes being played nearly deafened the ears.

Scanning the room, Saeko soon spotted a pair of heads, one with carnation pink hair done in pig tails and the other a darker shade of pink cut short in messy curls.

"Saya!" Saeko called out and somehow over the din of the off-key singing and the caterwaul of bagpipes, Saya heard her and waved them over.

"Thank gods, you're here!" the pink-haired genius said in relief. "I've nearly been molested three times by some of these drunken idiots!" she hissed.

"Are you alright?" Aegon asked her in worry.

"Yeah. Cerys kept them all away, but she's gone off somewhere else when she spotted some people she knew," Saya replied. "I was starting to get worried that you wouldn't show," she said grimly.

"We wouldn't leave you in distress, Lady Saya," Aegon said chivalrously.

Saya smiled softly at those words from Aegon, but her face fell a little and she said, "There was something I wanted to talk to you and Saeko about…"

"Of course, we can speak about anything you'd like," Aegon said with a smile.

"I want to talk about it somewhere with more privacy," Saya said meekly. "It's something I want to talk about with you and Saeko alone," she explained.

"Huh? Why can't I be there?" Alice piped up.

"This is grown-up stuff, munchkin," Saya said sternly. "Just need to find Cerys and ask her to watch you for a while," she added as she looked around for where Cerys was. Sure enough, Saya spotted Cerys walking back into the hall along with Geralt and some other lads.

"Cerys! Over here!" Saya hollered and Cerys came walking over.

"Aye? What is it, pinky? Some other lads tried to get handsy with you?" the Jarl's daughter asked tightly.

"No, thankfully," Saya replied. "I just need to talk to Aegon and Saeko about something private and I was going to ask you to watch Alice for a while. Would you mind?" she asked hopefully.

"Of course. Happy to," Cerys grinned and she looked at Alice and said to her, "Come, little one. I'll teach you to skip stones." Taking Alice by the hand, Cerys led her out of the hall.

Saya then looked at Aegon and Saeko. "Anywhere private we can talk?" she asked.

A moment later, Aegon, Saeko and Saya were in the room he and Saeko shared. Sitting by the fire that blazed warmly, Saya fidgeted with her skirt, looking very shy and nervous.

"This… isn't easy for me to say," she began almost stuttering the words.

"Take your time, Saya," Saeko said kindly.

Saya sighed, swallowing a lump in her throat before she summoned her courage to look at Aegon and Saeko both and spoke.

"For a long while now, ever since the outbreak happened and I essentially left my parents behind, I've been struggling with something," she said slowly.

"Is it something we can help with?" Aegon asked in genuine concern.

"Yes. I mean, no! I don't know!" Saya lamented almost on the verge of a panic attack. "It's something to do with you!" she said almost accusingly looking at Aegon.

"Me? What did I do?" Aegon said in confusion.

Saeko then took over and spoke, "It's because Saya has a crush on you and she's struggling with it," she explained.

Saya blanched at this and she looked at Saeko as though she had committed the greatest treason in the world. Aegon had a surprised look on his features and he slowly said, "You have a crush on me?"

Saya looked at him and nodded meekly, looking embarrassed and ashamed of this revelation.

"Well, that explains a lot," Aegon said lamely.

"What do you mean that explains a lot?!" Saya demanded angrily.

"Well, you did have that dream of me and you wanted to see if one thing was right about it," Aegon said awkwardly.

"You had a dream about Aegon?" Saeko looked at Saya whose cheeks went bright red in embarrassment but she nodded shyly. "What did you dream about exactly?" Saeko prodded.

"I think we all know," Aegon said sheepishly.

Saeko gave an "Ah," of understanding before an amused smile crept over her face as she said to Saya, "So, you had a very good dream about Aegon then. What brought that on?"

"Being rescued not once but twice by a handsome hero and the stress of everything that's happened since the outbreak," Saya confessed. "And since I've found out you two are together, I don't know what to do!" she lamented.

"Well, I must say I'm flattered that you have apparent feelings for me, Saya," Aegon said kindly. "And I admit, you are a sweet young girl once your defences are lowered," he added.

"Defences?" Saya parroted.

"Well, you often act that you're smarter than everyone else around you," Aegon informed. "And you are intelligent, but you're often abrasive and even arrogant which puts most people off," he then said.

"Abrasive?! Arrogant?! That's how you think I am?!" Saya almost screamed in anger.

"At first you come across as such," Aegon said kindly and respectfully. "But as I said, once your defences are lowered, you're a rather sweet girl who cares very much about those close to you. You often act as a mother for Alice and your intelligence has kept all of us alive."

"I'm glad you think so highly of me," Saya said her temper cooling. "If anyone has said that I was arrogant and abrasive, I'd have hurt them!" she added.

"But you like me too much to do the same," Aegon said with a boyish smile.

"You presume too much!" Saya bit out as she flexed her hands in an attempt to intimidate her crush.

Aegon only gave a grin at this and said, "Of course." He sighed before adding, "So, you have a crush on me and you're struggling with it," he summed up. "What do you suggest we do about it?" he asked looking at both Saeko and Saya. "I'm open to suggestions."

Saeko hummed in thought before she looked at Saya, giving her a smile and saying, "We could do something to purge your crush on Aegon."

Aegon and Saya looked at the samurai in confusion and Saya asked, "What do you mean by purge?" Worry crept in the genius's orange eyes.

"It's obvious your crush on Aegon won't go away on it's own," Saeko told her. "And the best way to get of rid of something that won't go away is to indulge it, thereby purging it from your mind and giving you clarity," she then said.

"I don't follow," Aegon announced in confusion.

Saya quickly figured out what Saeko was getting at and a blush crept over her face as she stammered out, "You-You want me to sleep with your boyfriend?!"

As soon as he heard those words, Aegon looked at Saeko in utter surprise, wondering why she suggested it.

"That's what I'm saying, Saya," Saeko told the pinkette. "Of course, I will be joining you both, to make sure you're doing it right," she then said looking at Saya and asked, "Have you ever had sex before?"

"N-N-No," came the meek response.

"Then Aegon and I will teach you," Saeko said with a smile before looking at Aegon and asked, "Do you have any objections, Egg?"

"Are you completely sure about this?" Aegon asked deciding play the adult in this situation.

"I am. This is the best way I can think of for Saya to clear her head of her feelings for you," his girlfriend replied and amused looked sparkled in her eyes as she asked, "Do you know how many men would kill for an opportunity like this?"

"I can guess the number," Aegon muttered before he sighed and looked at Saya who looked very red in the face. "Is this something you want, Saya?" he asked seriously. "I won't hold it against you if you have no wish to," he promised her.

After a moment of looking at the floor, Saya looked at Aegon and Saeko and nodded her head.

"Well, what now?" Aegon asked looking at Saeko. "I've never done this sort of thing before, so I have no real reference to go by," he confessed.

"I have a good idea of how to start," Saeko said with a sly smile as she approached Saya, taking her clothes as she did.

TO BE CONTINUED…

A/N: There! Thirty-second chapter of this story is done and dusted! I know I left it on such a cliffhanger, but I kinda wanted to build up some suspense for the next chapter, so don't worry my fellow perverts, the sexy times will come in the next chapter.

And since this is also a Witcher crossover, I decided to have Saeko get the Nine-tailed Vixen steel and silver swords from the new next-gen update for Witcher 3. I've been having fun with the new update and I found the new weapons/content pretty good so far and I figured Saeko could make use the Samurai-Witcher gear, although I didn't give her the White Tiger of the West armour set since it would take a while for it to be refitted to fit her, then again I'm not an armourer or blacksmith, so I wouldn't know the first thing.

In any case, with Christmas only a few days away, I wish to say Merry Christmas, Happy Ramadan, Happy Hannukah, Happy Kwanza and have a safe and healthy holidays in case I don't see you all before then.

Be kind to one another,

Angry lil' elf.
