This is the final chapter. Enjoy.
Chapter 20: It's Over. . .Almost
******The Next Day******
No one could actually believe it was over. The Boogie Man of their world was finally defeated, and Luna Lovegood's well time snapshot of his headless face would leave no doubt this time of his demise. Lucius was critically injured from the snake bite and was at the hospital, so Draco was allowed to be with him. His mother was there also getting treatment for the abuse and torture she had underwent. Buffy's injury was treated by Madame Pomfrey, and her slayer healing helped her recover in no time.
"Are you sure you don't need anything?" Joyce asked her.
"I'm fine, Mom. I am so well enough to leave and go to my room, but Madame Pomfrey is a worry wart!" Buffy proclaimed.
"That is no way to speak about you very dedicated medi-witch," Severus said with a frown.
"I am just so angry at you two," Joyce said, frowning at them. "You both went off and could've died, and I was sleeping through it all."
"No way, Mom," Buffy told her. "We knew that we were going to win. Right Father?"
"Indeed," Severus agreed. "The numbers were on our side. Of course, I had no idea that Willow had progressed so far in her magical abilities. If she hadn't connected all Voldemort's horcruxes, then he would be able to come back."
"I know. I'm very impressed with Will," Buffy said, grinning.
"Everyone is," Joyce said, giving a proud smile. "I think Dumbledore is going to give her some kind of award."
"He should," Buffy said, grinning.
"I cannot believe it is over," Severus said.
"It's not," Buffy said, looking grim. "Not for me. Angelus took off like a freakin' weasel!"
"Well, you were a dragon, and he knew that you took out Spike with fire," Severus pointed out.
"Yes, and he is more of a strategist than Spike," Buffy said.
"I'm sure that he'll come out for another round eventually since he is obsessed with you," Joyce said, grimacing. Nothing gave her nightmares more than her daughter turned into a vampire or killed by one.
Buffy said goodnight to her parents, wondering what the rest of the school year would bring.
*****The Next Week*****
The school was in an uproar for the new week. It was hard to focus on classes as everyone—even the professors—wanted to hear what happened at the final battle. Stories were told and retold as various viewpoints were compared. The twins, Buffy, Cordelia, Harry, Hermione, and Xander's versions each pieced together to get as full a picture as possible. Classes were canceled on the first day and a large feast of celebration was given.
Dumbledore gave points, of course, to every student's house that were involved. Although most of them were Gryffindor, he gave Willow five times as many points for her incredible display of magic that ultimately led to Voldemort's final and complete defeat. Luna had written an article about what she and Willow had been researching for the past month with comments from Willow, Cordelia, and Hermione, who had been the ones to finish out the spell the night of the battle.
Luna could not be resentful for being left out after Willow's quote to a rival paper: "I could not have managed the spell if Luna Lovegood hadn't been helping me with the research and spell practicing the past few weeks. Only due to her age was she forbidden from participating in the rescue of Mrs. Black."
Professor Flitwick was nearly bursting with pride that two of his House had been signaled out for such magical distinction. A week after the battle, official awards were given by the ministry. Order of Merlin Second Class was given to both Cordelia and Hermione for their part in the spell, a fact that upset everyone as Luna was left out. The twins and other adults who were at the battle were also given Order of Merlin Second Class awards except for Xander and Buffy because they were awarded Order of Merlin First Class since they fought Voldemort face-to-face. Of course, the hero of the year, the Wizard who actually managed to cut the head of the snake both literally and figuratively, Arthur Weasley, was also given the First Class award as well as a promotion and pay raise at the ministry. Fudge was now exceedingly worried that Arthur was after his job and promoted Percy, too. His constant kissing up was a source of great amusement to Arthur, who ran home daily to give Molly a detailed report.
Draco was the one who had it very badly. Due to the crucio weakening Lucius' body, his father did not survive the bite from Nagini, and his house considered him the worst kind of traitor. He was out the week of the celebration and award giving, trying to come to terms with a world without his father in it. When he returned to school nearly two weeks since the fight, Flint was the first but not the last to let him know exactly how the children of the Death Eaters in his house felt about his participation in the final battle. He was knocked down the dungeon stairs twice and broke bones each time. More than five curses were flung at him both openly and discreetly at various times his first few weeks back.
Both Xander and Buffy intervened at different times when they saw him cornered. It pissed them off that only Draco was signaled out for abuse. However, Buffy and Cordelia were Americans and while Buffy was the daughter of a Death Eater, she was a vampire slayer. The Slytherins had come to terms with the fact that she was incapable of being a dark wizard, and the gruesome murder of her stepfather and baiting of two vampires—one who she managed to kill—kept even the bravest upper classman from giving even her a dark look. Cordelia's beauty, scathing tongue, and Black-Snape bloodline kept her out of the criticism, especially considering she wasn't really actively in the fighting as she helped Willow with the spell. It was all nearly over by the time she and Hermione got into the room. Draco, though, had been one of them. He was groomed to be the next leader, and his father had been a strong Death Eater. In the end, though, both Malfoys had betrayed their lord. That was how their parents saw it as more than a few of their parents, the Flints to name just one set of parents, had died in the fight. Professor Wyndam-Price's gun had killed five Death Eaters, four of them parents of his students.
Finally, after two weeks of Draco's abuse, Buffy had enough after his food was cursed to make him throw up so severely that Cordelia rushed him out of the hall. Pansy followed using quick spell casting to clean up the vomit.
Buffy jumped up onto her house's table, glaring around the table at all of them. The younger class cowered under her formidable glare. "What the hell is wrong with you people? Voldemort wasn't just a murdering psychopath, but he was a hypocrite. You know he was not a pureblood, right?" she shouted her words so that everyone in the dining hall could hear. Standing to his feet, Severus was going to put a stop to it, but Dumbledore wouldn't let him.
"This needs to happen," he said.
"She could hurt someone," Severus pointed out.
"Maybe, but she won't hurt them too badly," he replied unconcerned. Adults could never get through to children like their peers could.
Reluctantly, Severus sat back down. His snakes were about to get a severe tongue lashing from the looks of it. He hoped that would be the end of it.
"Your so-called Dark Lord was Tom Riddle, Jr., son of Tom Riddle, Sr., a rich muggle while his mother was a very poor witch. That's the heritage that you all are so quick to fight and defend," Buffy said with a disdainful snort. "He wanted to wipe out people like my mother." She pointed at the table where her parents sat. "Why? Because she is without magic. It doesn't matter that muggles like her know about art and how to create beautiful things that make the world a better place. It doesn't matter that nonmagical people created electricity, cars, metal birds that fly faster than any dragon or broom. They have actually sent multiple spaceships to the moon—a feat no magical person has ever obtained. We are not better than them! We are just different!"
At this point, she all but shouted, and Minerva gave a disapproving look. "She is out of control, Severus," she said.
"Let her be," Albus said.
"This is bigotry. The Slytherin House is supposed to stand for cunning, determination, resourcefulness, pride, and ambition," Buffy said, looking at the younger kids in her house. "Cunning people do not follow a man stupid enough to cut his soul into eight pieces and stick them into seven horcruxes. Even splitting your soul once will make you a bit crazy—ask any professor." She pointed to their table again, and they all nodded. "Sure, it was ambitious of him. However, his pride was his downfall. Father has pride in me, and every time I fight a vampire, I am resourceful. If I drop my stake, which happens a lot, I find another way to slay my vamp. That's what it means to be resourceful. I don't order my friends to go find a group of humans and torture them for fun. Heck, I don't even torture vampires for fun. Why? Because I am not a psychopath. I do not take pleasure in watching people or creatures suffer in pain. If you enjoy the fact that Draco is in pain, you might be taking after his and Cordy's late aunt Bellatrix—she was nuttier than a fruitcake."
She paused to stared down the entire house. Then she continued. "His dad is dead. Some of you like me and Draco have lost a parent. You know what that feels like. No, his dad didn't deserve to die. I've heard your comments, and it better stop! Lucius was loyal, but he knew that he could not allow his son to be involved in the murder of Harry Potter. So he lowered his family wards in the first battle, and for that, Lucius had his wife kidnapped and tortured. Draco and his father went to save her. Marcus, are you such a chicken that you would allow your mother to be tortured and kidnapped? What would you have done, Adrian? Cassius?"
She jumped off the table and walked behind the trio of worst bullies. "If Draco gets treated like he's a traitor or not a member of our house one more time, I'm just going to start kicking your ass every day even if it's not you, do I make myself clear? Get your mini-me's in line or the ass-kicking will commence. I don't care how many detentions I serve, or house points I lose, you will cry and beg to go home early for summer break. Do I make myself clear?" This last bit Buffy said with more than normal slayer in her showing, and the boys all three lost their coloring. Cassius actually fainted in fear.
Disgusted, Buffy rolled her eyes and left the hall to check on Draco.
The conversation picked up as soon as she left.
"See. No harm done," Albus said, smiling at Minerva and Severus.
"You and Severus will be fielding angry parent letters for the next week once letters home get back at about her display and threats," Minerva pointed out.
Albus nodded. "Probably. However, Buffy is a heroine of our world, and Slytherins are going to need to change with the times," he said, unconcerned. He was quite pleased with Severus' daughter as she was doing more to change the minds and hearts of his students than any speech he could give. They admired her even if they feared or hated her. Her words would not be easily dismissed. Buffy Anne was everything he knew she would be. Her arrival had altered their world.
However, he had a feeling that she would not stay in their world for long.
*****Final Task*****
Buffy could not believe they were still making her participate in the stupid tournament.
"You have got to be kidding me!" she complained to her father.
"You are our House champion, and the heroine of the wizarding world," Severus said. "Of course, you will participate."
Buffy pouted.
Her friends were watching the scene in amusement. They were all in Joyce's room, the place where most of them gathered after dinner most days. It was always Buffy's friends from home, Draco, of course, and Harry. Hermione and the twins were there some of the times.
"Of course, she will," Xander said. "Gotta win that trophy. Fred and I have a betting pool going on it."
"Well, you better not be placing money on me because I'm so over this thing," Buffy said, glumly. It seemed absurd that after all she'd done this year to even hold the thing.
When she tried to get the headmaster to let her out of it with that argument, he smiled and offered her candy.
"No, I do not want candy. I want to not participate. Cedric is in it. You don't need me. You know I didn't even put my name in the stupid thing to begin with!" she complained.
"All that you said is the reason why you must compete," Albus told her. "You have been through so much. Your friends have been through so much. This school has been through it with you. We all lost Ron. Seeing you do this small thing would mean so much to your classmates. I know it would have meant a lot to Ron because I know how much the Weasley boys love this kind of thing."
Buffy tried to pout at his words, but she knew he had won. There was no way she could go against the memory of her recently deceased friend.
However, the day of the task, it was basically a race in a maze. She went to Giles.
"How is this fair?" she asked him. "I can run faster than all three of them and easily kill any dark creature they have in that maze faster than these other competitors. I should not be competing."
"We both know that," Giles said. "Just make sure none of them get hurt."
Buffy nodded; she could do that.
Her friends and housemates who actually liked her wished her good luck. Her parents hugged her.
"Be careful," Joyce said.
"I will," Buffy said.
"Don't show off too much," Severus warned. Naturally, she gave him a cheeky grin before joining the other contestants.
When they were lined up, Cedric wished her good luck, "Not that you need it," he said, smiling warmly at her.
"I can't believe they're making me do this. You're clearly the better choice. A race in a maze with monsters isn't exactly fair since I'm a slayer," Buffy said.
Krum overheard her. "So you believe you could so easily win?" he asked.
"Well, yeah," Buffy said with a shrug. "If I cared at all about this, which I don't."
"We do. It brings honor to our family, our schools, and our country. You dishonor all with your casual dismissal," he said in disapproval.
Buffy felt a sting of guilt. "Sorry," she said.
When the race began, she decided to make a point of blowing past both Krum and Fleur, taking an easy lead. After a few minutes, though, she got turned around in the maze. Annoyed, she went down another arm of the maze. Then she faced a really freaky creature.
"What the hell is this?" she wondered aloud. It looked like a giant scorpion crossed with a crab. It used its tail like a weapon, so she figured it was scorpion like, and the stinger was probably poisonous.
Although she knew that they wanted her to use magic in this competition, she just didn't feel like pulling out her wand and throwing a spell at the creature. Buffy really wished she had her sword. Thinking, she pulled out her Mr. Pointy, knowing it would not be that effective against the stinger. Grinning, she transfigured her trusty stake into a sword.
"Now this is more like it!" she exclaimed with a gleeful grin.
When the Blast-Ended Skewt that she thought of as a demon scorpion attacked her with its stinger, she chopped it off. Then she used the sword to slice its legs and then its head, causing Hagrid to wince.
"Did she have to kill it?" he complained to Dumbledore.
"You know she knows no other way to fight," he replied.
The other contestants used spells to freeze their creatures or stun them, but the slayer went for the kill each time, causing the audience watching on the magically created screens to cheer or cringe, depending on their predilections.
However, when she came upon a woman dressed like an Egyptian with the body of a lion, she was thrown. Why didn't she pay more attention in Hagrid's class? There was no way that she could kill a person.
"Hello," Buffy said.
"Hello," the woman with four legs and a tail said.
"You speak?" Buffy asked.
"Of course, I do," she replied.
"May I ask what you are?" she inquired.
"I am a Sphinx, classified a beast by your ministry because we are violent when some tries to steal our treasure," she explained.
"Well, I am a magical creature myself, and I am very violent," Buffy said, smiling. "So how does this work? I'm supposed to fight you? That doesn't seem very sporting of me."
"I will give you a riddle. If you can figure it out, I will step aside and allow to you get to cup," she told Buffy. "If you give me the wrong answer, we will fight."
"Riddle? I hate those things. Willow and Giles, my Watcher, love riddles," Buffy replied.
"First think of the person who lives in disguise,
Who deals in secrets and tells naught but lies.
Next, tell me what's always the last thing to mend,
The middle of middle and end of the end?
And finally give me the sound often heard,
During the search for a hard-to-find word.
Now string them together and answer me this,
Which creature would you be unwilling to kiss?" she said.
"A lying creature that I wouldn't want to kiss?" Buffy repeated. "Seriously? How the heck would I know what that is?"
"It is a riddle. You are to solve it," she said. "If you give the wrong answer, I will attack."
Buffy wondered if she could just sit and wait out the race as she didn't care about winning. "What happens if I do nothing?" Buffy wondered.
"You may leave unscathed," the Sphinx told her.
"You believe you can best me?" Buffy asked, eyeing her with interest. She could trample Buffy. Since Buffy had never trained to fight a horse or any similar creature, she wasn't really prepared to fight the woman—sphinx. As she had a female top half, Buffy decided that she was more human than beast. What to do?
While she was deciding, she heard a scream. "That sounds like Cedric," she said.
"You cannot pass without solving the riddle," the Sphinx informed her.
"I gotta jet," Buffy said. Then she faked a left but went right toward the yell. Soon, she saw why he screamed.
"It's a spider!"
"That's the answer. You may continue," the Sphinx replied and stopped chasing Buffy.
Buffy looked back in bemusement, but then she had no time to decipher the human lion as Cedric needed help. She vaulted onto the giant spider and plunged her sword into its neck.
"You are incredible, Buffy," Cedric exclaimed, giving her an admiring look.
"I try," Buffy said, smiling. "Glad I could help. "Did you see the lion with the female head?"
"Yes. The riddle gave me the clue that the cup was guarded by an acromantula," Cedric said.
"Of course!" Buffy said, smacking her forehead. "That's what she meant!"
"Yes. As I reached for the cup, it attacked," he finished.
"Well, the thing is dead now, so go get the prize," Buffy urged him.
"I cannot. You defeated it," Cedric said.
"You were here first, and I'm sure you would've managed if I hadn't come along," Buffy replied. "Besides, I didn't enter into this contest to begin with, and I have a lot of supernatural abilities that you don't have. It's not really fair. You totally deserve to win."
"How about we both grab it together?" he suggested.
Buffy considered it. It didn't matter one bit to her, but maybe Cedric would feel like a sham if he won it solo. Shrugging, she nodded. "Okay. If that's really what you want," she said.
"It really is," he said sincerely. He held out his hand to her, and she placed hers inside his. They approached the cup together and reached out touching it at the same time.
A half hour later, a beaming headmaster smiled down at the two champions.
Cameras flashed as their photos were taken. Everyone cheered and clapped, and then they were embraced by their parents first. Then their friends.
Buffy was just glad that the tournament was over, and she could go back to learning how to utilize magic.
Cedric glanced back at Buffy one last time. For some reason, he had a feeling that moments with the extraordinary woman would not continue much longer. Hogwarts could not contain her for long.
*****Sunnydale*****
Angelus got off the ship and breath in the night air.
"Home sweet home," he said. Nothing like his own piece of hell. Those stupid Brits can keep their crazy wizards. He'd take a hellmouth any day.
He would spend the summer building his alliances and finding out who was the real power in town. No cops could be that stupid for that long. He would test the new slayer eventually, but he didn't want to bring his girl home too soon.
No, the time for him to face Buffy Summers wasn't yet. He would draw her out of her magical cocoon of safety soon enough.
Then the real fun would begin.
*****End of Term*****
Buffy hugged Hermione and Harry. "I'm going to miss you guys," she told them.
"Have you decided if you are going to stay at Hogwarts for the summer or return to the States?" Hermione asked.
"We'll be discussing it after dinner tonight," Buffy said.
"If Angelus went back to the hellmouth, will you have to go there?" Harry asked, hating to think of her not returning to school with them.
"Possibly," Buffy said. "There is a new slayer in town, though." Of course, she couldn't possibly allow Angelus to kill someone else in her place. It was up to her to end his threat once and for her. She owed it to Angel to put an end to him. At least she knew that Angel was at peace—finally.
Harry was going home to Sirius, not his mother's family, never again.
Draco hugged Buffy and followed Harry and Hermione, who were waiting for him. Although he wasn't Ron and never would be, the two Gryfs had pulled him close after he lost his father. It made Buffy happy because she worried about Draco. Of course, Blaise and Draco's two stooges, Goyle and Crabbe as well as Pansy, were always there for him. Blaise had been mostly indifferent until this year. It was like Buffy and Cordelia had broken through something inside of him. No matter what Buffy decided the Slytherin House would never be the same. They didn't even give Draco a hard time for being friends with Hermione and Harry.
Cordelia had already said goodbye to her cousin and was now hugging the twins. George had finally thawed toward her and now let her hug him. He even gave her a genuine smile.
"I'm really going to miss you guys," she said.
"We are going to miss you," Fred said.
"Are you returning next year?" George asked.
"We haven't decided yet," Cordelia said.
"Fred and I want to move to the hellmouth and fight vampires," George said.
"Like be watchers?" Cordelia asked.
"Hunters," Fred said.
"Vampire Hunters who own a joke shop," George added.
"You want to open a joke shop on the hellmouth?" Cordelia asked.
"If Buffy doesn't return, yes. If not, we'll wait until we graduate," Fred said, looking serious.
"You're not kidding?" Cordelia inquired.
Both shook their heads. "What happened to Ron is happening to others in towns like your hometown all the time," George said.
"We want to help eradicate the vampires preying on humans and a hellmouth is where they are the most," Fred said.
"Well, that's true," she agreed. "I will write you and let you know."
George decided to give her something to remember him by and pulled her in for a quick but very thorough kiss.
He grinned down at her bemused expression as Fred clapped and whistled. Then they followed Harry and Hermione onto the train.
Buffy walked up to her cousin. "Are you okay?" she asked.
Cordelia shook her head. "I don't know what I'm going to do with that boy," she admitted.
"Looks like he has some ideas," Buffy said, laughing.
Xander snickered. "He's a brave fool," he said.
"Did you know their plans?" Cordelia asked.
"To kiss you? No. To move to Sunnyhell, yes," Xander said. "I told them they were nuts."
"Great," Buffy muttered. "We need to go see Giles and my parents."
A short time later, they, including Willow, were all in her mom's quarters.
"Buffy, I have spoken to Willow and Xander privately," Giles said, "and they are not interested in returning to Sunnydale High School except to graduate. They have been keeping up with the online curriculum that Miss Calendar created for them to make sure the holes the curriculum at Hogwarts may cause will not keep them short credits."
"Is that why I have that extra math and English lit tutoring time with them?" Buffy asked.
"I explained this, Buffy," Willow said, giving her a fond smile.
"I was probably not listening," she admitted. She was so used to just doing what Willow told her to when it came to schoolwork.
"So we will still get an American diploma and stuff?" Xander asked.
"Yes," Giles said.
"You want to stay here even if I and the twins leave?" Buffy asked Xander.
"Willow is happier than she has ever been in her life, Buffy. These are her people," Xander pointed out while Willow blushed at the attention. "I could never be so far away from her. You have your mom. I only have Willow. The twins have each other. Plus, Lee with be here, and I'll have Harry and Luna to keep an eye on."
"Does this mean you think I should go back to Sunnydale?" Buffy asked Giles.
"Faith's watcher believes Angelus has been spotted in Sunnydale even though Faith has not directly confronted him," Giles said. "He's keeping a low profile."
"What's the plan?" Buffy asked, looking at her dad.
Severus smiled at Joyce and gave her a slight nod.
"Your father has asked me to marry him, Buffy," Joyce shared, looking happier than Buffy had ever seen her as she made the announcement and showed off the modest ring.
Buffy's eyes got wide and then she shrieked. "Oh, my God! That's the best news!" she exclaimed, hugging them both. Willow and Xander were equally happy. "Why didn't you tell me?"
"I doubted your ability to keep a secret," Severus said.
"I so can keep a secret!" Buffy insisted.
All of them but Joyce gave her incredulous looks.
"You were in town one day before I knew you were the slayer," Xander reminded her with a grin.
"Whatever!" Buffy said with a huff. "When do you want to get married?"
"We were thinking that we would spend the summer here, cramming you full of magical knowledge," Joyce said. "We'll have the wedding in August. The headmaster will perform the ceremony here."
"Oh, by the lake would be lovely," Buffy said. "We could make one of the flower arches for you to get married under."
"Of course, I want you girls to stand with me," Joyce said. "Buffy, you will be my maid of honor, I hope."
"Definitely," Buffy agreed, grinning.
"What colors do you want?"
"Let's table the wedding talk," Giles said. "We need to finish our discussion about the rest of things. Although I, too, am very happy for the couple."
"I agree," Severus said. "Rupert has spoken to his Council, and they have agreed that I may act as your watcher since Faith has an official watcher in Sunnydale, and you are a wand witch."
Buffy frowned, looking at Giles. "What do you mean? Are you not returning?" she asked.
Giles shook his head. "No. I find that I really enjoy teaching here at Hogwarts, and you do not need me like you once did. You have Severus," he said.
"But he doesn't know all about the demons and the demon languages," Buffy pointed out.
"Yes, but Faith's watcher does," Giles said. "I also will be on hand for you to contact if you need me, of course. As will Wesley. He knows even more obscure demon languages than I."
"So one last summer of the Scooby Gang before we're parted," Xander said, looking sad.
"What about Cordy? What do you want to do?" Buffy asked, turning toward her.
"I don't know," she admitted. "Luna has predicted twice that something bad is going to happen on our graduation if Harmony is dying on that day."
"More reason to not go back," Xander said.
"I love it here," Cordelia said. "I don't want to leave Draco alone."
"We could bring him and his mother with us. A change of location for a year would be good for them," Buffy said. "Isn't there a magic school he could attend?"
"Not on the hellmouth," Severus said. "However, he does have an affinity for potions. I could take him as an apprentice, and he could keep up his studies."
"The headmaster has a floo connection to our house, so it's not like he couldn't easily come back and forth for testing," Buffy said. "Cordy could, too."
"We will consider discussing it with his mother," Severus said. Narcissus had been deeply affected by both her torture and her husband's death. A change of scenery might be good for her.
Cordelia got Joyce to discuss ideas for the wedding, not wanting to continue talking about what her own plans would be. It was not a decision that she was ready to make.
Buffy was not sure that she wanted to go back to the hellmouth without her friends.
They were the reason that she had survived so long. Sure, she was now a witch, but was that enough?
Without her friends would she be able to beat Angelus?
She watched her friends chatter excitedly with her mom while Giles said goodnight, already weary of the wedding talk. Buffy grinned at him. Then she remembered that he was going to stay, too, and panic began to build inside her.
Severus, though, was watching her and could tell she was upset.
He reached over and took her hand, giving it a slight squeeze.
"Do not worry, Buffy Anne. I will be there by your side for every battle," he promised her. "You will never be alone."
His gaze remained locked onto his daughter's as she gave him a searching look. It pained him a bit that it took a full minute for her to nod and finally smile.
"Thank you, Daddy," she said, hugging him.
Severus was stunned; she had never called him that.
He had never tried to replace the man who raised her and was her dad, the daddy in her heart.
After his torture and gruesome murder, Hank Summer had earned Severus' respect, so he never wanted to take anything away from the man who raised her and loved her all those years that Severus wasn't there.
Now, however, he was going to take up battle with her on the mouth of hell.
Buffy felt something inside her ease at her father's words.
She would have her father, who was a very powerful wizard fighting with her on the hellmouth.
Angelus wouldn't stand a chance.
*****The End*****
Yes, this story is over, but clearly, the tale is not finished. I am very comfortable in the BTVS world, so I think I can do a very good job with a final third installment that would tackle season 3 if people are interested in reading it. Leave a final review, things you would like to see. I've laid some groundwork for ideas I already have, and you can see that I am undecided about a few things but not everything. The wedding is definite. The twins will definitely be on the hellmouth, but not Harry or Hermione. Sorry, I just like them better. However, it doesn't mean I won't sometimes write about Hogwarts. Without Voldemort, though, I don't know that I could come up with a Harry/Hogwarts storyline. I just have to have Mayor Wilkins trying something the twins invent…. Thanks for reading.
