As nightfall sets in, the hurricane lands and hammers the entire city. Snowden expects to stay in the News Station safe house until the storm settles because the Infected will have the advantage.

But Zoey, Louis and Francis have other plans.

Zoey: Ready for action.

Snowden: Hold on. *looks outside*

[hurricane hits]

Snowden: Looks like we'll be staying here long before we hit it. Hurricane's right on top of us.

Louis: How long will it take?

Snowden: Don't know. Meteorology isn't my forte. But having been through this before, it could go on overnight, could settle in half an hour, co—

Zoey: That's good enough for us. We're heading out now.

Snowden: Wait, are you sure about that? I mean, I can handle it. But what about you guys?

Zoey: We've dealt with massive hordes of zombies by ourselves. You think we can't handle a little storm? Besides, you got night vision on your head. That is night vision, right?

Snowden: *checks NVGs* Dammit, forgot to put in the batteries.

Louis: Well, where are they?

Snowden: Back at Ft. Benning. In Georgia.

Zoey: Whatever, we can do this. I say we're going.

Louis: Me too. I got a feeling it WILL settle in no time. *nudges Francis*

Francis: Uh, yeah! How hard can it be?

Snowden: *nods* Alright, if all three of you are in favor of it, then it's fine by me. Grab your gear and let's go.

[safe house door opens]

Since the majority has decided to move out immediately, the survivors leave the News Station and go to the Hospital for a helicopter.

Zoey: Where are we going next?!

Snowden: There's a hospital next to a bridge connected to the mainland! If we can't find a helo there, we can—

Zoey: Yeah, sure, whatever! Let's get going!

Snowden: Understood! Stay close and keep your eyes open! We're gonna have a much harder time finding Specials at this time and in this kind of weather!

In spite of the hurricane, Snowden, Zoey, Francis and Louis go through one open building to another en route to the Hospital. Picking off a few Commons and Florida Men along the way.

Halfway there, they barely hear a familiar sound coming from a convenience store.

[Witch Yells]

Snowden: Stop! Do you hear that?

Zoey: I think that's a Witch.

Snowden: So no lights pointed at it, don't talk loudly for too long around it, don't stay near it for too long and don't touch her. Unless you can demolish her into oblivion fast. No known weaknesses, unless you count shotguns to the head.

Francis: Why don't we just head outside?

[Hunter Growls]

[Charger Voice]

Snowden: I think there's a Hunter and a Charger prowling around on the street. At least the threat inside is avoidable.

Once they successfully transition from the apartment they are in to the convenience store, they find out that the Witch inside is unlike any other. As this particular Witch did not sit or roam around but rather chop up a pile of dead bodies with her claws.

Plus, she was more aggressive and faster in reaction time than the other two. A fact Louis finds out the hard way.

Snowden: Hold up, this Witch isn't something I've seen before. A lot more aggressive and possibly faster in reaction. I think we need to—

Louis: Don't worry about it. We've faced a bunch of Witches before. Follow me.

[Witch Growls]

Snowden: Louis, no!

[Witch Yells]

Louis: *screaming in pain* I'm down!

The moment she notices Louis nearby, the Witch slashes and incapacitates him almost instantly.

Snowden: Francis, blow this bitch to Hell now!

[Combat Shotgun fire]

[Witch Death]

Francis: You alright, bro?

Louis: I'm pretty banged up.

Francis: Come on, we still got vampires to kill.

Louis: Thanks, man.

Snowden: I'm patching you up now. Try to be more careful next time, okay?

Snowden heals Louis with his First Aid Kit.

Louis: Ah! Thanks, Snow'. You're alright.

Snowden: Of course.

Outside the convenience store, the survivors see that the entrances of the other buildings ahead have been blocked by debris and wrecked motorcycles. So the only option left is to push through the flooded, foggy streets.

Because of the loud encounter with the Witch, a Random Horde Event occurs.

[Tropic Nightmare Horde Theme plays]

Snowden: We got company ahead! Defend yourselves and watch out for those Specials!

[gunfire]

[Charger Voice]

[Hunter Voice]

Snowden: Hunter!

[Combat Rifle fire]

[Hunter Death]

Snowden: I'd hunt you again for sport if I could!

Francis: Move it!

Zoey: Argh! Kill the Charger!

[thud]

Zoey: I'm down! *terrified yell*

Louis: Hold on!

[AK-47 fire]

[Charger Death]

With Zoey down hard and the situation getting worse, Snowden uses his Stim Shot to get her back in the fight quick.

Snowden: Giving you a small boost! Come on!

Zoey: Whew! That was new! Thanks, I guess!

Snowden: Don't mention it! Now get moving! Everyone stay close and follow me! The hospital's close!

After picking themselves back up, the survivors finally reach the Hospital in less than a minute. In the lobby, they catch their breaths and assess the situation.

The good news is the elevator in front of them can take them straight to the roof. The bad news is that elevators are notorious for causing a mechanical racket that the Infected inside the building can hear.

Snowden: Thank God this elevator works!

Zoey: Yeah, but it's gonna make a racket in here.

Snowden: I know, I know, but we need to use it to our advantage now before the hospital's power gets cut. *presses button*

[Left 4 Dead 1 horde screeching]

Louis: Shit! Okay, okay, let's do it!

[gunfire]

[Tropic Nightmare Horde Theme plays]

So they will have to defend from another horde until the elevator arrives, which they are up for regardless. One and a half minute of fighting off infected doctors, nurses and patients later, their lift arrives and they head straight to the rooftop.

Louis: That was the toughest time fighting zombies I've ever been through.

Snowden: Yeah. I'd say I told you moving out during this weather was a bad idea. But then again, I never said that.

[Tank Growls]

Snowden: *looks up* Oh shit.

Zoey: Hey, don't worry. We've fought Tanks on rooftops before.

Snowden: Well, only one way to find out if a chopper's there. Try to remember, do NOT get punched off or at least get backed against something solid. It'll hurt, but at least you won't instantly die.

[elevator ding]

[Tank Yells]

Snowden: Tank! Open fire!

[gunfire]

Snowden: Argh! Ahhh! I'm down! I'm hit! Need assist— *screaming in pain*

To keep the others safe, Snowden gets himself trapped against the base of the Hospital's rooftop helipad. While getting incapacitated and beaten to death, Francis, Zoey and Louis light up the Tank.

Once the Tank is finished, Francis gets Snowden back up.

[Tank Death]

Francis: That was pretty ballsy of you, Snow'!

Snowden: Just doin' my job! Argh!

Francis: There, I knew you were also indestructible!

Snowden: Thanks, bro! Helipad's still intact! Where's the helicopter?! *looks around*

Snowden: I got nothing around here!

Zoey: So we're dead?!

Snowden: No, of course not! There's another place where we can look for a helicopter! We just gotta rest up somewhere safe first!

Louis: Where?!

Snowden: I saw a restaurant with heavily reinforced doors and windows just around the corner before we got here! At least we can still take the elevator back down! Come now!

Despite having a First Aid Kit, Zoey silently chooses not to help the Army Ranger out with his injuries. But Francis has him covered with his Pain Pills.

Snowden: Man, I haven't felt pain like this since mixed martial arts training.

Francis: Here. Share the wealth, brother.

Snowden: Thanks, Francis. I knew you were a good guy. *ingests Pain Pills*

Zoey: *nudges and shakes head at Francis*

Francis: What?

Back on terra firma, the survivors leave the Hospital and reach the fine dining restaurant turned safe house with only three Florida Men in the way.

[safe house door closes]

Snowden: That could have been worse. Thank God it wasn't.

We're safe... for now.
