Because of the difficulty in fighting the horde during these kinds of conditions, Snowden believes that it is much safer to stay in the restaurant safe house for the night. But with the clouds starting to break up and the storm getting weaker, Zoey thinks she and the others can make it to the Police Station right now.
Snowden: Damn, still no food in the kitchen. Or even the fridge.
Zoey: Alright, Snowden, where are we going next?
Snowden: Notice the bridge over there? We're gonna cross it. It'll take us to the mainland. Once we make it, there's a police station right around the corner. That's our next place to look for a chopper. We'll move out first thing in the morning.
Zoey: Why wait? We can go now.
Louis: Is it me, or is the storm getting weaker and weaker as we speak?
Snowden: You can't be serious. Are you forgetting our trip to the hospital? We were lucky that we didn't have to stay there.
Zoey: Louis is right. The storm is settling. We need to go now before it gets strong again.
Snowden: Zoey, Francis, Louis, please reconsider. Crossing streets during a hurricane is hard enough. But crossing a bridge during a hurricane, with Commons, Florida Men and Specials gunning for us, and deadly waters below, is a death sentence.
Zoey: Which is why we need to cross it now while we still can. We're going, with or without you. What is it going to be, Captain?
Louis: I'm with Zoey all the way. You know how it is, Snow'.
Snowden: Francis?
Francis: I may trust you, Snow'. But I trust Zoey and Louis more. Like Louis said, you know how it is.
Seeing himself outvoted yet again, Snowden hesitantly agrees to leave at once and start crossing the bridge to the mainland. Despite the red flags, dangers and disadvantages all over the place.
Snowden: Alright, alright, *sighs* let's get out there.
[safe house door opens]
Louis: On the bright side, this is a pretty interesting weather to fight zombies in!
Snowden: Yeah, if this is some sort of 3D movie! This is real life! *looks around* Hey, I recognize this part! We're in the eye of the storm right now! That's why it's getting calmer! But we gotta move fast cuz it won't be here forever!
Zoey: Alright, let's go!
Even though the eye of the hurricane is upon the bridge, Snowden, Zoey, Francis and Louis still need to be careful because of the slippery road and walkways with sliding vehicles. As well as the Infected, which mostly consists of Chargers, Jockeys and Florida Men armed with Magnum Pistols, Silenced Submachine Guns, Tactical Shotguns, Combat Rifles and a Grenade Launcher.
[Florida Man gunfire]
Francis: Holy shit!
Snowden: Heads down! Guns up! No open areas! And watch out for Chargers!
[gunfire]
[Charger Voice]
Francis: I hear a— Look out!
[thud]
Louis: He missed!
Snowden: Kill him!
[Charger Death]
[Jockey Voice]
Louis: Ahhh! Jockey's on me!
Snowden: Zoey, save Louis! I'll deal with the Florida Men!
[Sniper Rifle fire]
[Jockey Death]
Zoey: Got 'em!
Snowden: Guess even when already zombified, everyone still wants to be the badass with the shotgun!
A Florida Man with a Grenade Launcher blows up and flips over a car near Snowden.
[Grenade Launcher fire]
Snowden: Get down!
[explosion]
[splash]
[Combat Rifle fire]
Snowden: Way too close for comfort!
Halfway across the bridge, the going gets even tougher with the worst possible foe in the worst possible place.
[Tank Yells]
[Metalized Tank Theme plays]
Snowden: *equips and reloads Grenade Launcher* Tank on the bridge!
[Grenade Launcher fire]
Louis: SHIT! Shit! SHIT!
[explosion]
Snowden: Sticky going out!
[Sticky Goo Bomb shatters]
[Tank Yells]
Snowden: Only way outta this is to hit him with everything you've got!
[Combat Rifle fire]
But while Snowden lights up the Tank, Zoey, Francis and Louis reload their weapons. And unknown to the Army Ranger, they are purposely taking too long to do so.
Francis: Reloading!
Louis: Reloading!
Zoey: I'm reloading! Slowly. Let Snowden do all the work.
Francis: Wait, wha—
Zoey: Just do it!
Snowden: Guys, anytime now! Guys, the Sticky Goo is wearing off! GUYS, THE TANK IS BREAKING LOOSE! OPEN FIRE NOW!
[Tank Yells]
[Stealth Pistol fire]
Snowden: Ahhh!
[thud]
Snowden: *strains* *breathing heavily*
[splash]
[gunfire]
[Tank Death]
While Snowden switches to his Stealth Pistol, the Tank breaks free from the Sticky Goo and punches him before he can stab him in the face with his Combat Knife. Snowden lands and slides off of a car and almost falls off the bridge.
Luckily, he was able to catch and hold onto the guardrail midair. But at the cost of losing his Combat Rifle, Stealth Pistol and Combat Knife as they fall into the water.
While he struggles to get back up, Zoey, Francis and Louis engage and kill the Tank with Incendiary Ammo no problem. With the wet handrail making it very difficult to hold on, let alone climb up, the Army Ranger calls for help.
Zoey: Tank's dead! Let's get moving!
Snowden: Help! I can't climb back up! Help!
While Zoey and Louis want to leave him behind, Francis does not want to.
Francis: Hold on!
Zoey: Francis, leave him. This bridge is too dangerous.
Francis: *looks back and forth* I can't just leave him, Zoey.
Louis: No, Francis. Francis!
Snowden: Help!
Francis: Grab my hand, Snow'! *lifts Snowden up*
Snowden: *controls breathing* Thank you, Francis! *equips Collapsible Baton* Time to get to the mainland! Not much further!
Fully assembled once more, regardless of whether Zoey and Louis like it or not, the group makes a run for it before anything worse happens. With Snowden charging and smashing Commons and Florida Men ahead with his Collapsible Baton and grabbing a Magnum Pistol from one of them.
Finally off the bridge, the survivors head right for a straight shot to the Police Station. At the entrance, they encounter another aggressive Witch slicing up a pile of dead police officers.
[Witch Yells]
Louis: Oh shit.
Snowden: Another Carving Witch? Ah, we don't have time for this. Francis, can I borrow your shotgun?
Francis: Okaaay.
[Combat Shotgun fire]
[Witch Death]
[continued Combat Shotgun fire]
Snowden proceeds to blow the "Carving Witch" away in one shot, with every steel ball bearing piercing her head. He then fires off a couple more on the same spot just to be safe.
Snowden: We're good, get in here!
Francis: Woah, how'd you do that?!
Snowden: Just put a shotgun's end very close to the Witch's head. *gives Combat Shotgun back* All steel— I mean, pellets should hit it in order to kill with one shot.
In the secured lobby, he grabs a Combat Submachine Gun and Louis replaces his empty AK-47 with a fully-loaded Combat Rifle. The Army Ranger then leads the way up to the Police Station's rooftop helipad.
Only to find the Police Station's helicopter crashed into a convenience store across the street.
Snowden: Roof clear! *frustrated sigh* Of course the police chopper has crashed and burned!
Zoey: So we're finally screwed!
Snowden: Not yet we're not! We still have two options! One is uncertain, the other should be guaranteed!
Louis: Alright, what are they?!
Snowden: Not here! Let's get to the safe house in the SWAT Team's locker room downstairs! And we are STAYING for the night this time! God give me strength!
Back inside, the survivors get inside the SWAT Team locker room turned safe house to rest and recover for the whole night. No matter what Zoey says.
Snowden: Rest up and rearm now, move out tomorrow. We'll wait out the hurricane.
Zoey: Not sure if we can do that.
[safe house door closes]
Snowden: I wasn't asking. That was an order.
We're safe... for now.
