Snowden: Say, Francis, I keep forgetting to ask. How do you know shotguns so well? It looks like you had experience before The Infection hit.
Francis: Yeah, I don't really know how to say this, but—
Snowden: Outlaw biker gangs? The aggressive ones?
Francis: Pretty much.
Snowden: Hey, don't worry about it. I'm not gonna arrest or assassinate ya. At this point, we're not outlaws or lawmen. We're just survivors of a God damn zombie apocalypse trying to make the best of a shitty situation. I watch your back, you watch mine. Sound cool?
Francis: Yeah. Thanks, Snow'. You're the nicest, coolest soldier I've ever met.
Snowden: No problem.
Zoey: So, is everyone ready?
Snowden: Not yet, hold on. Everyone, listen up! I know killing those kids and their families back there got us all sad. But what else can we do? Do you think The Green Flu inside them would care? You think those people are still themselves, even a little bit? Now, I'm not an expert in this virus, and I never had nor will I ever claim to know everything about it. But what I do know is that we CANNOT sacrifice self-preservation just because our feelings say we should allow them to hurt and kill us. Because doing so won't satisfy them. Try to remember: If they're already dead, let's put their bodies to rest. If they're still alive, let's put them out of their misery. Because having zero control over yourself and no purpose other than to kill living beings is as close to Hell on Earth as you can get.
Louis: I understand.
Francis: I'm not gonna pretend to get all that, but I don't wanna be eaten alive, Captain.
Snowden: Then you understand enough.
Zoey: No other choice. Yeah, got it. Let's get moving.
Snowden: Alright, good luck.
[safe house door opens]
17:24:01, 45 minutes of resting and rearming later, the survivors leave the park ranger's cabin safe house to look for a way out of the forest fire. And they immediately spot some man-made lights up ahead.
Francis: Hey, those are headlights. They could take us out of this fire.
Snowden: Maybe, but be careful. We don't know who or what is out there.
With a possible way out in sight, Snowden, Francis, Louis and Zoey go for it. Along the way, they encounter more Ghillie Zombies and families before coming across a six-man team of CEDA Agents walking around fire with ease while the zombies around them burn to a crisp.
Louis: We look good.
Snowden: Hold it. Six CEDA Agents in front of us. *looks ahead* They're infected, hit 'em but no flames or they'll survive!
[gunfire]
[Katana hit]
[M60 Machine Gun fire]
Snowden: Dah! Do you want me to relieve you of your weapons, Louis?! Huh?!
Louis: My bad.
After dealing with the CEDA Worker Infected, they reach the headlights which come from CEDA vans. And as they search them for anything useful, they find and kill even more hazmat zombies.
Snowden: Damn, there's CEDA vans and agents everywhere.
Louis: Can we search these vans for anything useful?
Snowden: Yeah, but do it quick.
[gunfire]
While clearing a van with the Army Ranger, Zoey "accidentally" hits him in the helmet with her Katana.
[AK-47 fire]
[Katana hit]
Snowden: *grunts* Hey, Zoey! What was that for?!
Zoey: My bad.
20 dead CEDA Worker Infected and no new supplies later, the group assembles, keeps moving forward and finds a makeshift barricade made up of burning civilian cars. According to the sign on the right, the dirt road on the other side leads to the Trailer Park of the forest.
So, in order to get across the flaming roadblock, Snowden plans to take a CEDA van and clear the way.
Zoey: That sign says there's a trailer park down this road.
Louis: That blockade and its fires look extensive. How are we gonna cross?
Snowden: I can take this CEDA van and give us a safe path. But don't let your guard down. Because I can ram the roadblock but not drive us straight to the trailer park.
Francis: Why not?
Snowden: Fires are much faster in real life than in the movies. Once the van touches it, things will go from 0 to boom in less than five seconds.
Zoey: Okay, let's do it.
Louis: Shit, I better not drop this massive gun.
Francis: Ready to kick some ass.
The Army Ranger starts the engine, hits the barricade hard and immediately jumps off as the CEDA van explodes. Now on the dirt road, he spots the well-lit Trailer Park ahead and tells the others to run for it.
[CEDA van starts]
Snowden: Moving.
[crash]
Snowden: *strains*
[thud]
[explosion]
[Left 4 Dead 1 horde screeching]
Francis: Snowden!
Snowden: I'm good! There's the trailer park! Stay on the dirt road and run for it! We can defend ourselves there!
Louis: Move it!
[gunfire]
[Forest Fire Horde Theme plays]
[Katana hit]
[Guitar hit]
Snowden: Grenade out!
[Pipe Bomb ticking]
[explosion]
Upon arrival, the survivors light up a Gas Can perimeter just beyond the Trailer Park's entrance and finally run out of Main Weapon ammo. But they would proceed to wipe out the remnants of the horde with just their Melee Weapons before getting inside the biggest trailer in the area, which is fortified.
[Collapsible Baton hit]
[Guitar hit]
[Baseball Bat hit]
[Katana hit]
Zoey: Whew!
Snowden: The biggest trailer here is a safe house, guys. Come on in.
[safe house door closes]
Francis: Awesome!
We're safe... for now.
