A/N: Nothing to say here. On with the chapter.
BARRY
"Barry?" Matt's voice echoed in Barry's ears as the whole world around him faded into a long, single ringing sound. "Barry? Barry, can you hear me?"
Barry was on his knees as his head slowly swayed from left to right, everything he heard around him was faded and muffled. Matt's words to him, Lily's infant crying, Strange and Steve discussing something. It was all muffled. He could barely stand, he could barely think or even breathe. Breathe. It wasn't until the thought of it came to him that he actually started breathing as he let out an exhale, his heartbeat accelerating due to the temporary lack of oxygen. Barry suddenly rose to his feet. He turned and walked away, ignoring the muffled calls of his name from Matt, Wanda, and Logan. With orange lightning charging up his body, Barry ran at super speed as he ran and ran. Far away from the sanctum, from Kamar Taj, he ran as fast as he could. In zero time whatsoever, he saw the whole world around fade into blue as he entered through a speed force portal. Voices of the past, present, and future, across several universes echoed in his head.
"You do what you think is best, Doc. It's all any of us can…even when it hurts like hell."
"When a thief or a mugger stops to think twice, that's fear! That is what I am. That is why the hired assassins, Alfred!"
"Dreams save us, dreams lift us up and transform us into something greater. And I swear…on my soul, I'll never stop fighting."
"They think you're a kind of god."
"Why?"
"Because you're the one who outran death…the one who escaped."
Then…a particular memory echoed in Barry's head as he instantly recognized it.
"I love you, Mom."
"I love you too, my beautiful boy."
"I love you more."
"I loved you first."
Tears streamed down Barry's face as he stumbled before losing his momentum as he fell out of a speed force portal before landing face first onto a grassy ground. Barry breathed heavily as the tears continued pouring from his eyes. The birth of his daughter, the death of the woman he loved, all the pain and loss he felt from losing Jaina. He didn't blame Lily for it, she was just a child…the only person he held in contempt or blame was himself. Had he been there, he could've done…he could've done…something…anything. Anything which could've prevented her death. Couldn't he? Barry sighed before he slowly rose to his feet, wiping off the small bits of dirt and dust from his long-sleeve black t-shirt and his dark blue jeans. He looked down as he found himself standing on a hill, but that wasn't what took his attention. Barry looked forward as he saw a recognizable city a quarter mile away.
"Central City…" Barry sighed. "Am…am I back?"
After a few moments of looking and wiping away his dried-up tears, he ran into the city, stopping by a mailbox. He saw a newspaper stand outside of a comic-book store as he looked at the date written on the newspapers before his face froze with shock.
March 18, 2000
Today was the day. The day that his mom died. It was currently morning in Central City where he was. All this time, everything that had happened, it was all because he tried to go back and save her. Now here he was, where he finally had the chance. Tonight was the night his mother was destined to die. Barry slowly lifted his head as he looked through the glass, seeing a few people spread throughout the comic store. However, it was one certain red-haired, middle-aged woman that had caught his eye as he glanced at her. Nora Allen. His mother. Her face was unforgettable, memorable even. He slowly walked into the comic store, entering through the door as he walked into the Star Wars aisle of comics. Barry wanted to chuckle upon seeing it as he remembered that his mother had promised him a collection of Star Wars comics when he was younger. Slowly, Barry approached her as he kept his head down, he stood next to her, glancing between the comics in front of him and then at Nora occasionally.
"Umm…you a fan?" Barry suddenly said softly as he glanced at Nora.
Nora's head slowly swirled as she faced Barry before chuckling. "Oh, not me. My son. He loves Star Wars. Sometimes, I just wish I had his sense of passion for those kinds of movies."
Barry let out a small chuckle in response as he tried to hold back his tears, his eyes slowly becoming watery.
"What about you?" Nora asked curiously.
"Y-yeah," Barry nodded, his jaw slightly tightening as he looked away from Nora. "I was….I think I still am."
"I'm sorry…" Nora suddenly said as she laid her hand on Barry's shoulder before he glanced at her. "Are you alright? Is there something to talk about?"
Barry paused for a moment as he wiped away his tears. "Part of me wants to say 'no, I'm fine'. I know I have to talk about it to someone, but…it's complicated. Takes a while to explain it."
"Tell me,"" Nora insisted softly. "I'll wait as long as I have to and help as much as I can. I promise."
Barry looked her in the eyes, his tears drying on his face as his eyes slowly flooded. "I'm here…in town…to see my mom. It's been a while since I saw her and…there's something that bothers me. There was something I didn't do…she told me it was okay and I knew it was right but…I still can't let myself go for it." Barry thought of the day when he had first time traveled to the night where his mom died, where he held his mother as she took her final breath.
"If she says it's okay, then trust me…" Nora promised. "It's okay. There's nothing that can stop a mother from loving her child. I know there's nothing that would stop me from loving mine."
Barry nodded. "Today…was the day my daughter was born. I just…want so desperately to tell my mom but I don't know."
"Tell me, then…" Nora suggested as they glanced at each other. "Look at me like you'd look at your mother and tell me what you want to tell her."
"I would tell her…" Barry began as the tears began streaming down his face once more. "That her name's Lily. She has your eyes and I can see your amazing smile in her. That I want to be the parent to her that you were to me. And that I just want, more than anything, for you to be there…to watch me raise her the way you raised me. Something like that, you know?"
Now, even Nora's eyes became almost watery as she listened.
"I would say…" Barry continued. "That…I love you, Mom. I got another chance. It might be my last but it matters. To me. I'd never forget you, Mom. Never. Thank you…for being the strongest part of my life."
Nora nodded as she wiped Barry's tears away before cupping the left side of his face. "That was beautiful…you go tell her that. Mothers love hearing that."
Barry nodded as Nora slightly chuckled.
"You know you just look so much like my father." Nora said.
"You look just like my mom." Barry whispered.
Nora's thumb stroked his cheek before suddenly, everything around Barry slowed to a halt as orange lightning coursed through his body. Even in Flashtime, Barry could feel Nora's hand on his skin as he closed his eyes, exhaling peacefully, a memory filling his mind.
"I love you, Mom."
"I love you too, my beautiful boy."
"I love you more."
"I love you first."
Barry opened his eyes as the tears poured out, everything in Flashtime caused him to see the rest of the world as frozen. He looked at the kind eyes of his mother as he breathed shakily, saying what would've been some of the last words he'd ever get to say to her.
"I love you…" Barry whispered. "I love you too…I love you more…I loved you first…goodbye, Mom."
Flashtime sank back into real world time as Barry sighed before Nora stepped back, nodding at him with a smile.
"Thank you." Barry finally said as he kept his head down before turning around and walking away.
His eyes were dry, his tears dried on his face as he left, opening the door of the store and exiting through it. Barry walked away to an alley as he found himself alone where he leaned against a brick wall, looking down as he sighed before standing up straight. He could've changed what was going to happen, but had he did…he would've never had the Avengers, Team Flash, Oliver, or even Lily, his own daughter, to him. He had to let it all go, not just his parents and Team Flash but even himself. His older self. In a flash of orange lightning, Barry disappeared as a speed force portal opened in front of him, this time, he knew exactly where and when he was going.

Barry entered a room within the London Sanctum as he saw Wanda sitting on a bed, carrying an awake, calmed Lily in her arms. He sat beside Wanda as the two glanced at each other.
"How is she?" Barry asked, he truly wondered and desired to know.
"She's fine," Wanda nodded. "Strange managed to get some baby food and milk from a destroyed, old, convenience store in the city."
Barry nodded.
"Do you want to hold her?" Wanda asked. "She's your daughter, after all."
"Yeah, I…I think I'd like that." Barry slowly replied.
Slowly, Wanda turned as Barry gently slid his hands under the infant. He brought her close to his chest as he stood up onto his feet, looking down at her as their eyes met. A soft smile curved on Barry's eyes.
"She has my mother's eyes," Barry whispered.
"Your eyes," Wanda replied. "I guess it's something you both have."
Lily cooed in Barry's arms as he glanced at Wanda with a smile that didn't touch his eyes. Wanda gave a similar smile in response, a small but kind one.
"Can I ask you something, Barry?" Wanda asked.
"I don't blame her for what happened to Jaina," Barry whispered, looking down at Lily. "Is that what you were going to ask?"
"I just…needed to know." Wanda said.
"It's not her fault," Barry said as Lily closed her eyes and began sleeping in his arms. "Besides…Jaina wouldn't want that for her or for me."
Barry looked to Wanda as he gently held a sleeping Lily in his arms, he had decided on saying something in particular to her. However, something inside him told him that she knew. Even if she didn't, the time would come when she needed to be told. Instead, he simply looked back down to Lily as he whispered the one thing he would want to always say between her and himself.
"I love you…" Barry whispered. "I love you too…I love you more…I loved you first."

Barry, while carrying Lily, Wanda, Strange, Wong, and the rest of the Avengers were outside the New York sanctum as they met with each other. Mordo wasn't able to join them, he had unfortunately lost his life due to the injuries he had sustained from the battle. Barry stood across from Strange as he eyed the sorcerer.
"You realize you're more than welcome to stay," Strange insisted. "After everything you and your friends have done…it's the least we can do."
"I appreciate it, we all do," Barry nodded. "But the new world's not going to build itself."
Strange sighed. "Well, one thing I know for sure…that new world's going to need a Barry Allen in it." The sorcerer then briefly eyed Lily. "And so is she."
"Strange." Barry said as he held out his hand.
"Allen." Strange replied as the two gave each other a nod of respect, briefly shaking hands.
Barry then found himself conversing with Tony as the former billionaire held Morgan in his arms, the two fathers glancing at each other.
"Is it true?" Barry asked. "You're staying?"
"Yeah," Tony said simply. "With Morgan, I…I can't risk it. So, me, Morgan, and Rhodey are staying back."
Barry nodded as he saw Rhodey, looking at him. "Take care of them for me, will you?"
Rhodey nodded back. "I've got 'em."
Barry and Tony exchanged a nod. He turned around as he let Steve talk to the pair before heading to Wanda. Wanda gently took Lily from Barry as she comforted the baby, instantly calming her cooing. Barry turned around as he spotted a certain six-foot-tall, blond-haired man in special armor with Mjolnir in his hand. Next to him stood Bruce Banner as Barry met with the pair.
"I take it you're heading back to Asgard," Barry said.
"I must," Thor replied. "There are a great many things I must do across the realms. And for Asgard."
"And you?" Barry asked as he looked at Banner.
"I'm going with Thor, sort of…" Banner said with a sigh. "There's this planet called Sakaar that he told me about. I'm thinking…maybe I can figure myself out there. With Hulk and everything going on."
"Be careful," Barry said as he and Banner shook hands before he turned to Thor and did the same. "You too."
"Godspeed, my friend…" Thor nodded. "And I am truly sorry…for your loss."
Barry had nothing to say in response. All he could do was nod as he and Thor dropped their handshake. In a matter of seconds, Thor called out a word: Heimdall. And then, a rainbow-like light shined on Thor and Banner before they were gone. Thor and Banner were out amongst the stars, Tony, Morgan, Strange, Wong, and Rhodey were staying back with the sorcerers at the sanctums. However, that wasn't all. Bucky was also taking leave on his own, Frank had too. The two of them had decided to leave together, on their own, hunting the remains of Hydra should there have been any. Even if there weren't, they had decided it was best to part ways with the rest on their own. Barry stood in front of Frank as the two shook hands.
"You look after this team, Allen," Frank said grimly. "They're gonna look up to you now. You're gonna be the one to lead them through this, you hear?"
"I got it, Frank," Barry confirmed with a nod. "You be careful out there. At least, try not to get yourself killed."
Frank scoffed. "No promises, kid."
Frank turned around as he and Bucky walked away, eventually disappearing into the destruction and remains of New York City. Barry saw Steve standing as the war veteran watched his best friend disappear.
"You gonna be alright, Steve?" Barry asked.
Steve sighed as he looked down. "I don't know…just feels like I let him down."
"You did everything you could for him," Barry insisted. "That's what counts. He knows that. I think you should too."
Barry, Steve, Matt, Wanda (while carrying Lily), Logan, Natasha, and Sam all stood together as the remaining Avengers looked over to each other before turning to Barry.
"I said I would get you all through this," Barry declared. "I said I would help you all build the new world. I'm going to. We go out there and…maybe we find a place and we build. From now on…we are the new world. All this…it's just about building the rest of it. That new world starts with us and we build it…together. We survive, we fight, and we build this world."
A/N: Just to clarify, Barry went back to the exact time he left on Earth 14. He was just gone for an hour and came back. So, on Earth 14 where Barry is, it's still December 2015. As of now. For more clarifications, I'm going to explain where the Avengers are departing.
Thor and Banner have left Earth. I don't plan on changing the events of Thor: Ragnarök. As a result, I had them both leave with Banner on Sakaar. I'm probably going to change what happens after but as of now, Thor: Ragnarök is canon to my series.
Frank and Bucky have formed a duo of their own and left to hunt down any potential remnants of Hydra. Otherwise, they're just going to be "living" on their own.
Tony, Morgan, and Rhodey will be staying with Strange, Wong, and the sorcerers at the sanctums.
And then, Barry, Wanda, Lily, Matt, Natasha, Logan, and Sam are off to build the new world. Basically, to just journey to search for somewhere else safe. Now, as you all know, this story began with Barry and the remaining Avengers meeting Charles. So, this story is going to end after they meet them. Probably, another five chapters at most.
