Episode 43: Legacy

July 13th 1:00 p.m. (Twenty Years Ago)

'Dear Dairy, It's been...rough since I began my journey into college. To be honest, I never thought I would make it this far and...I'm getting scared. My Junior Year is over and my Senior Year is just around the corner. Every time I think about it makes the butterflies in my stomach become a swarm. But this doesn't mean I'm giving up. I''ve worked too hard to give up now and I'm not gonna kick the bucket until I make it to the end.

I am very grateful Mom and Dad have take care of my Financial Aid, even though I wanted to take care of it myself. *sigh* Seriously, they never stop working and supporting me and my sister. Ever since I was little they were always prepared to anything I would be interested in and gave me gigantic support for it, which resulted in several embarrassing events that have left a mark in my skull for the rest of my life. *sigh* But...despite that, I still love them with all my heart and soul. It's just...I want to be more independent and take care of them someday. We still talk after I moved into my dorm, but...I feel like any day their motors are gonna run out of steam, and that scares me the most out of everything else.

Sometimes...I miss my high school days. Getting out of bed was a pain in the ass and dealing with teachers who hate you for no reason sucked so much...but at least the subjects were simple to understand. However, those days are over for me and my friends. Our memories of meeting each other and all the adventures we had will always stay in our hearts. We all have to grow up whether we want to or not, but that decision alone is up to us to decide, no-one else. And soon...my dreams of becoming a teacher will become a reality.

Sincerely, Christie Evans.'

Closing her Diary and putting her pencil down Christie leaned back in her chair while straightening her glasses. Stretching her arms out small groans exited he mouth as then lowered them before putting her Diary into her backpack. Raising herself from seat she picked up her backpack and swung it around her shoulder before placing it on. Lifting her left arm her eyes gazed down onto her watch.

'Huh. I've been in the library longer than I thought. And I've still got some time to spare before next class.' She thought to herself as she lowered her arm.

Pushing her chair in she walked away from the table and made her to another portion of the library. As she was getting closer to the section her eyes started shimmering as her lips stretched into a grin. Lulu's Bizarre Journeys. Infection. Dragon Ring. Space Love. Each one of these titles made her grin turn into a large smile. "Manga. You, music, and TV are the only stress relief I can get before and after classes." She whispered to herself.

Reaching her hand out she placed it onto her selected manga, but at the same time another hand was then placed onto hers. Turning her head she locked her eyes onto the individual whose hand was on hers, but at that moment...her eyes instantly shot open at the very sight next to her.

"Oh, my apologizes miss." The individual said as he removed his hand off of hers.

"Y...Y...Y-Y-Y-Your...Green Diamond." Christie said breathlessly.

Green nodded. "I am. It is nice to meet you miss...?"

"Christie. Christie Evans." Christie replied as she raised her hand to him.

Green slowly took it into his and slowly added pressure to it before they shook and separated their hands. As they did Christie felt a rapid surge rushing though her body. Her heart began to beat at a rapid pace, sweat began to erupt onto her skin, and small stutters exited out of her mouth.

Green titled his head as he looked at her, "Are you okay?"

Christie rapidly nodded, "I am. I am. It's just...I'm meeting the very person who basically saved the entire planet and I have no idea why my heart is beating so fast."

Green couldn't help but chuckle at her response. "Well, please don't be nervous around me, Christie. I mean you no harm. My only objective here is to get some manga for my daughter."

Hearing the word "daughter," Christie began blinking at him. "Y-You have a daughter?"

"Indeed. She's been interrupting me at times to get her this type of literature. I do find their art styles very fascinating, though I myself have never been fully interested in them. I also assume you want to purchase them as well?" Green replied.

"Y-Yeah. I've been waiting for the next volumes to come out, but...if they're for your daughter then you should have them." Christie insisted.

Green shook his head. "You placed your hand on them first, so you should have them. Though, would it be too much trouble if I paid them for you?"

Christie blinked at him as her cheeks began to burn. "O-Oh, that's...that's very sweet of you, but you don't have to. Especially since we've just met."

"Non-sense. While I will admit that is true, I would like to be a gentleman today. If that is okay with you?" Green replied as he took a short bow.

Christie's cheeks began burning even hotter than before. Here he was, the man responsible for saving the planet and offering to pay for her manga. There were so many questions she wanted to ask him and so many things she really wanted to know, but...since this was their very first time meeting each other...that will have to come at another time, if given the chance.

"Okay. Sure." Christie said.

September 9th 5:00 p.m. (Two Months Later)

Two months have passed since the day Christie Evans met Green Diamond. Two months since he paid for her manga before they parted ways. And two WHOLE MONTHS OF NON-STOP INTERNAL AGONY!

"Should I do this?! I think I should do this! I have to do this! Actually, no, this is a bad idea." Christie said as she walked around in circles.

"Christie. You won't know unless you give it a shot. Besides, this is Green Diamond we're talking about. The leader of the Rainbow Gems. The aliens that have been beating up monsters for ages. He's probably been with a bunch of women in his life on Earth and now it's your turn to have a chance." Christie's roommate encouraged.

"You're not helping, Vidalia." Christie replied as she stopped to look at her. She then lowered her head as a large groan exited from her mouth, "Ugh! I didn't even ask him if he was married. He said he had a daughter and I can't ask a married man out if he's already with someone. Besides, I'm not special. He was being nice to me when we meet, but...why would he ever be interested in a dork like me?"

Vidalia raised herself from her bed and walked up to her best friend. As she got close to her she raised her arms and placed both of her hands on Christie's cheeks, squishing them. "Christie Esmeralda Evans. You are the most amazing young woman I have ever met. You are cute. You are beautiful. Yes, you are a dork, but you are a very adorable dork. You've never had a boyfriend before in your whole life. You deserve romantic love just as much as everyone else. If you want to have this chance, go for it. Waiting isn't gonna help you. You'll never know unless you take the first step. I'm not your mom, but believe me when I say that you can do this. Take a chance." She said passionately.

A small gasp left Christie's mouth at Vidalia's words. It was true, she hasn't been into the dating ring since she's been so focused on her dreams. And there hadn't been any boys that caught her eye. So...maybe this time...there's a chance. A chance to have something alongside her goals. Closing her eyes Christie sucked in some air and exhaled it out of her nose. "Okay. I'll give it shot."

Vidalia smiled as she released her hands from Christie's cheeks. "That's my girl. I'll support you through this. And I wish I could come with you to meet him too, but I've gotta motor." She added as she turned around to grab her jacket.

"Where are you going?" Christie asked.

"Remember when Greg dropped out?" Vidalia asked, receiving a nod. "Well...not that I was checking up on him, but I've heard that he made himself into a One-Man-Band and his manager asked me out."

"Oh..." Christie replied softly. "Well...have fun. But be careful. I've heard that not all managers are bad-boys and Mister Cools. There was a rumor that a girl dated a manager of a band and he left her after a week."

"Pff. Don't worry, I'll be careful. I promise. I wanna enjoy my youth while I still have it. You should too." Vidalia assured.

Christie nodded as she watched her best friend leave. Turning around she walked up to her closet and opened the door. Turning on the lights she gazed at the various clothes within it. "If I'm gonna do this, I might as well look good at it too."

September 9th 8:00 p.m.

The moon shined her radiance on a gorgeous clear night in Delmarva. The stars above illuminated the sky, circling themselves around the moon and creating various constellations. Tonight is the night everything changes.

Arriving into a quiet neighborhood Christie pulled herself toward the sidewalk and parked her car. Turning off the engine she got out of her car and closed the door behind her. Locking it she placed her keys into her purse and zipped it closed. Closing her eyes she sucked in some air into her nose and slowly exhaled it out of her mouth. Opening her eyes she fluffed her hair and straightened her glasses.

'No turning back.' She thought to herself as she started walking.

Step by step she made her way to the massively large house near he car. Stopping in her tracks she gulped as she raised her hand and pointed her index finger to the doorbell. Her heart continuously kept beating as her finger was getting closer and closer to the doorbell. Her finger soon made contact and pressed itself into the mechanism.

*DING DONG*

She quickly removed her finger and placed both of her hand onto her purse, holding it by the straps.

In mere seconds locks unlocking entered her ears before the door opened. On the other side of the door came none other than Green. His eyes expanded at the mere sight of Christie. A long pure white dress, large silver diamond earrings, small amounts of makeup, and pure white heels.

"Christie?" He asked.

She nodded as her cheeks started burning. "H-Hi, Mr. Diamond. Umm...I know it might be a little weird that I showed up like this and have found out where you lived. But...the reason I'm here is because I w-want to ask you something."

"Of course." Green said. "Would you like to come in?"

Without even thinking she nodded and walked inside. Green followed her as he closed the door. They soon entered the living room where Christie's eyes locked onto seven individuals chilling out. They each turned their eyes onto her, making her presence known and making herself even more nervous than before.

"My children. This is Christie Evans. I've met her once when I was at the library." Green introduced.

"Umm...H-Hi. It's nice to meet all of you. I hope I'm not interrupting anything." Christie replied as she waved her hand nervously.

Soon a pink girl with large fluffy hair raised herself from the couch and walked up to her. "Hi, I'm Lepidolite." She said as she raised her hand.

"It's nice to meet you, Lepidolite." Christie replied as she placed her hand into Lepidolite's.

"I know we've just met, but you look so beautiful." Lepidolite said as they separated hands.

"Oh...thank you." Christie replied. She then turned her head to Green, "Umm...I don't want to sound disrespectful, but can we talk in private?"

Green nodded as he walked passed the living room with Christie following him. Making their way into the kitchen Green opened up the sliding door, allowing Christie to walk outside first before he followed her and closed the door back. Making their way to the backyard Christie showed her back to him as she tightened her grip onto her purse straps.

"Is everything okay?" Green asked.

"I'm sorry, but I need to ask this." Christie replied without looking at him. "Are you married?"

Green didn't give her an answer right away, but crossed his arms and released a small sigh. "No. I am not."

"I wanted to ask because when we met you said you had a daughter, and it surprised me. Ever since then I couldn't stop thinking about you. I know it's probably silly since you've been with plenty of women in your lifetime and I'm just a nobody who gained an instant crush on you. But...I couldn't help it. You were so kind to me and now I'm so confused about what to do. This has never happened to me before." Christie said as she turned to him. A silent gasp exited Green's mouth as tears began to swell in her eyes. "I don't know what to do with these newfound emotions. If it's not too much trouble, will you go out with me?"

Uncrossing his arms Green slowly approached her. Raising his hand he wiped away her tears. His lips stretched into a grin as he nodded. "Christie. You are not a nobody. You are an amazing young woman. Though I do not know you well enough to say this, but I do not find enjoyment seeing a person cry. I have had many wives and lovers in my life, but I do not have one as of this moment. I must apologize for making you feel this way. To fix this mistake, I shall honor your request."

Without even thinking Christie opened he arms and wrapped them around Green's waist. A warm sensation released itself into her heart as she tightened her hold on him.

"Thank you... Thank you for giving me this." Christie replied with small sobs leaving out of her.

Green then wrapped his arms around her. "You are very welcome. I will do the best I can to make you happy."

Hear this, Christie's eyes shot open. But then they closed and hummed in their embrace.

May 7th 11:00 a.m. (Seven Months Later

Seven months. Seven amazing months since Christie Esmeralda Evans and Green Diamond went on their first date. Seven months since they've gotten to know each other the more time they spent together. And today...today was one of the most greatest days of Christie's life, but also one that made her the most nervous of all.

"I...still can't believe it. I never thought in a million years this would actually happen to me. And now...now...it really is." Christie said as she looked at her reflection in the mirror.

"You deserve it." Lepidolite said as she softly combed Christie's hair. "I never had any doubts that my daddy wouldn't take the next step with you. Today is your day."

"Thank you, Lepidolite." Christie said as she closed her eyes. "This is the biggest step of my life that I've ever taken. I'm almost a teacher. My days at college are almost over. And after today I'm..." Her eyes then shot open as her mind was collecting itself and making her realize what was gonna happen after. "I'm...I'm gonna be a...I'm gonna be a..."

Lepidolite stopped brushing her hair as she walked over to Christie's right side. "You're gonna be our mommy." She finished as they looked at their reflections. "Isn't that right, my sisters?"

"Definitely." Charoite said as she walked up to them and placed herself next to Christie's left side.

"Absolutely." Azurite said as she walked up, placing her hands onto Christie's shoulders, softly rubbing them.

"Yeah." Amber added as she walked up to them. "But keep in mind. Ah ain't wearin' anything girly next time ah come ta a weddin'."

"C'mon, Amber. It's our new mother's special day. Everyone of us has to look good for it." Lepidolite informed.

Amber sighed as she gazed at the mirror. She couldn't help but groan a little from her dressy appearance. But...if Pyrope had to wear a full-fledged suit, then she'll swallow her pride and do this for her new mother. No matter how much it's taking her to get rid of it on the spot.

"I'm gonna be a mommy." Christie whispered as tears fell out of her eyes. These young women with her weren't just Green's daughters, they were hers. His sons were hers. She...was now a wife and a mother.

"Don't cry, mommy." Lepidolite said softly as she and Charoite pressed their lips onto her cheeks. "It's gonna be okay. We're here. And we love you with all our souls."

More tears fell from Christie's eyes along with small sobs. Each one of her daughters wrapped their arms around her as she cried. Today...had certainly become one of the greatest days of her life.

July 7th 2:00 p.m. (Two Months Later)

Christie Esmeralda Evan. She had completed her goal to become a teacher. To teach the next generation and encourage them to follow their dreams and succeed. She had fallen in love with Green Diamond and not only became his wife, but become the mother of their children. At times like this she should be the happiest she had ever been. But...as of now...her happiest had broken apart.

Destiny City Cemetery. One of the largest cemeteries in the country and the resting grounds of many people who have left this life. At the center of the area Christie and her new family stood facing two tombstones.

[Here Lies Carlos Evans. A Loving Father And Husband.] [Here Lies Emily Evans. A Loving Mother And Wife.]

Taking a step forward Christie bent over, placing two bouquets next to the tombstones before raising herself up. "Que descanse en paz, papi. Que descanse en paz, mami." She said with no emotion in Spanish.

Turning herself around, Christie faced her family and turned her attention to Onyx. "Thank you, Onyx, for placing them here."

Onyx nodded and slowly approached her. "I am truly sorry for what has happened, mother." He said with no emotion. "They were good people. They loved you with everything they had. No-one could've foreseen the accident that took their lives. May their spirits watch over you. Even in death they will always be with you."

Christie nodded her head. "I'm sorry everyone, but I wish to be alone for a while."

"Are you sure, mom?" Pyrope asked.

"Yeah. It's not good to be by yourself after...what happened." Citrine added.

"I'm sure. I'll be home soon. I just...want some solitude to think." Christie replied as she turned around.

"We'll give you your space. We love you, mom." Pyrope said.

No response was given back. Accepting her wishes the Rainbows walked away from her as she stared at the tombstones. Her mother... Her father... they were...gone. Right in front of her...they were gone...and...it felt so real.

As she stared at the tombstones footsteps entered her ears. She stood still as a figure stood right next to her.

"Umm...hi, Christie." The individual said.

That voice... It wasn't hard to recognize. Turning her head she saw Greg Universe right next to her before she turned her eyes back onto the tombstones.

"Christie...I...am awfully sorry." Greg started. "I know that you probably don't want to talk to anyone right now, but I wanted to see you."

She gave no response to him.

"I can't imagine the pain you're going through right now. But...you're not alone. You still have a family. You're a wife and a mother too. There are people who truly care about you, including me." Greg said softly.

Christie slowly turned her head to him, making him see the colors in her eyes fade and the emptiness within them.

"I'm not that smart. I don't know what's gonna happen, but...it's gonna be okay." Greg said softly.

Christie turned her head away from him.

Without saying another word Greg placed some flowers onto the tombstones and walked away.

As he walked away raindrops began to fall from the sky.

July 14th 9:00 p.m.

Sitting in the kitchen in her home Christie turned her head to a glass bottle. Reaching her hand out she grabbed onto it and brought it toward her lips. The substance within went down her throat before she removed it from her lips. She then placed it onto her lips again and drank more of it, and as the substance went down her throat she placed the bottle down.

*BELCH*

Small giggles exited her mouth. Placing both of her hands on the table she pushed herself up and made her way to the refrigerator. Opening the door she grabbed two more bottles from it before shutting the door back and returning to the table.

As she was about to open her next bottle she turned her head to see Green standing near the kitchen entrance. His eyes were narrowed as he crossed his arms while looking at her.

"Don't look at me like that." Christie said as she turned her head away.

"Christie." Green replied sternly. "You can't continue with this."

"Why not? I'm almost done with College. My grades are fine. I'm just relaxing. Is that a problem?" Christie replied firmly.

"Yes. The problem is that you are drowning your sorrows. That isn't a healthy way to face your issues. And yes, you are a twenty-year old woman who has nearly completed college, but you are ignoring everyone who is trying to help you." Green said as he walked up to her.

Christie turned her head and glared at him. She then pushed herself as her glare remained, "I'm sorry. I didn't know my husband relied on his wife so much. And for the record, I'm fine. Why are you trying to get on my case?"

Green's expression didn't change from her words. "What would your parents say if they saw you like this now?" He asked.

Christie's eyes shot open at his words before she reverted them back into a glare. "I don't know. They aren't around anymore. Besides, it's my life! I decide how I want to live it. So don't you dare to try and act like my dad and telling me what to do!" She added as she walked away from him.

"Christie!" Green called as he followed her.

Watching her go up the stairs Green watched as she entered their bedroom.

"Green! I am not in the mood to talk!" Christie shouted.

"You've been handling this on your own for too long! It's time for you stop and talk to someone!" Green shouted back as he stood behind the door and closed it. "You're not going anywhere until we talk about this!"

"Oh! So now you're holding me against my will?" Christie asked as she walked up to him.

"You came here on your own accord! I am your husband and I will not stand by and allow my wife to break herself apart any longer!" Green yelled.

Raising her hand Christie balled it into a fist and sent it right into Green's body. On impact a small groan exited her mouth while Green felt no pain. Retracting her hand she sent her other right into the same spot, ending with the same results. One after the other she threw her fists into his body. Each blow gave out groans from her mouth while Green continued feeling no pain.

"Who the hell do you think you are! Don't you dare tell me what to do! Don't you dare try to take care of me! My parents have done that for me for my entire life and I refuse to go through with that again!" Christie screamed with every punch she threw. "You and my kids are not gonna work yourselves to the bone for me! Let me take care of all of you! Let me handle my problems on my own! I DON'T WANNA LOSE YOU ALL TOO!" Christie wailed as she delivered her final punch.

Tears began to fall from her eyes as she fell onto her knees. Sobs exited her mouth as she lowered her head. Raising her bruised hands she placed them onto her head and gripped her fingers into her hair.

Without giving a response Green kneeled down and placed his hands onto her own. A small gasp let her mouth as she raised her head to him. Removing his hands from hers he placed them onto her glasses, slowing removing them from her face and wiping away the tears from her eyes using his thumb.

"I'm not going anywhere." Green said gently. "Our children are not going anywhere either. We're here and we'll help you through this, Christie. If you are worried about your independence, then let us help each other instead. We each will have our spaces, but when we need help then let us help each other, no matter how much we refuse from it. Okay?"

Small sniffles left Christie as she stared at the man she loved so much.

"I love you with all my soul. It hurts me to see you in such a state. Please, let me help you. Your husband wishes to help his hurting wife." Green said gently once more.

Christie's eyes began to water as she threw herself at him, pressing her lips onto his. A small gasp exited Green's mouth from her action, but it hardly mattered as he wrapped his arms around her. Christie soon pulled away before sending her lips onto him again with soft moans leaving her mouth. Needing some air she pulled herself away as she panted. Her eyes locked onto her husband's diamond-shaped pupils.

"Green...p-please. Your wife needs you right now. She wants you right now." Christie whimpered.

Her husband nodded as he pressed his lips onto hers. All worries... All concerns... Any kind of troubling thoughts were now getting washed away in the seas of love and passion.

December 8th 4:00 p.m. (Five Months Later)

Up in the skies above snow slowly began to fall. Little by little it grew until blankets began covering Destiny City and Beach City. The air grew cold and freezing with ice slowly forming by the minute. The weather had decided to give the planet some snow this year. A nice, quiet, and chilly opportunity it doesn't get every year.

At the Evans' Residence Christie sat down on the couch next to her beloved husband, Green. Her kids were all around her as she raised her hand up to her sweater-covered stomach. Her lips stretched into a small smile as she slowly rubbed it while closing her eyes.

"Honestly, I still can't believe it." Lepidolite said as she turned to her mother.

"You can say that again." Pyrope added. "How is that even possible."

"I truly do not know, Pyrope." Green replied as he placed a hand onto Christie's. "This kind of development is logically and biologically impossible. However...even though it would take me quite some time to figure it out, I believe it would be for the best if this was left ambiguous."

Christie turned her head to her husband and pressed her lips against his cheek. She then placed her head onto his shoulder as she closed her eyes.

*DING DONG*

The echoes of the doorbell entered everyone's ears.

"Ah'll get it." Amber said as she got up from the floor. Walking over to the front door she unlocked the locks and opened it up, but as she did her eyes immediately narrowed at the people on the other side.

"Hey, Amber. We heard the news and wanted to congratulate you guys." Greg said as he held a box in his hands.

Rolling her eyes Amber opened the door and allowed Greg and the others insides. "Crystals. Make sure ya wipe ya feet before ya touch the carpet." Amber called out.

"Why?" Amethyst asked.

"Because Ah jus' vacuumed this mornin' and ya feet are wet." Amber replied as she closed the door.

The Crystals did what they were asked and entered into the living room. As they did Rose gasped at the sight of Christie's stomach and immediately went around the table before dropping herself next to her. "Green! How this even possible?" Rose asked excitedly.

"I am not very sure, Rose." Green simply replied.

Rose blinked at him as she placed her gift onto the table. "Wow." She then turned her eyes onto Christie's stomach, "One of the many mysteries of the universe."

"Would you like to touch my stomach, Rose?" Christie asked.

Another gasp exited out of Rose's mouth as she started bouncing on the couch, "Really? Can I? Can I? Can I?"

Christie nodded, "You can, but please be gentle. My stomach is very sensitive."

Rose nodded as she slowly placed her hand onto Christie's stomach. It felt...soft and smooth, even when it was covered. Up and down at a slow pace stars erupted into Rose's eyes as she stared at the stomach. As she lowered her hand a sudden bump entered onto her hand.

"Oh, I felt something." Rose gasped.

"The baby just kicked." Christie replied with a giggle. "That means they want to come out a meet everyone."

"Really? Oh, this is so exciting! I can't wait to meet the baby!" Rose cheered as she removed her hand.

"By any chance, do you know the gender yet?" Greg asked.

Green and Christie shook their heads. "We do not." Green answered.

"I'd like for it to be a surprise." Christie added. "It'll feel more special that way."

"Well what matters is that a new addition to the family is coming." Greg said as he handed Green his gift. Opening it up the father pulled out a onesie with a guitar at the center of it. "I'd thought your baby would be rockin' out in that whenever he wore it." He added as he air guitared.

"Thank you, Greg." Green replied.

"Oh, me next! Me next!" Rose said as she handed her gift to Christie. Opening it up Christie reached in and pulled out a large rattle with a large star as the shaker. "What do you think? Will the baby like it?"

"Thank you, Rose. The baby will love it. Their very first toy." Christie replied.

Pearl, Garnet, and Amethyst stepped up to the parents and offered them their gifts. A small drum-kit. A coloring book. And a stuffed dove.

"Thank you so much. All of your gifts are wonderful." Christie said sweetly.

"You are welcome, Mrs. Evans." Garnet replied nonchalantly.

"I thought the munchkin would wanna rock out whenever they were in the mood." Amethyst added.

"Since the symbol for the Rainbow Gems is a dove, logically I decided to acquire this toy for your child. I wanted to give him a dictionary to help with it's vocabulary, but it is too early for that." Pearl concluded.

"Thank you." Christie said. She then turned her eyes to her sons, "Pyrope, will you and Citrine take these gift into the new room upstairs?"

"Sure thing, mom." Citrine replied as he and his brother placed the gifts back into the boxes and went upstairs.

"Would you all like to stay for a while?" Christie asked the Crystals.

"Are you sure? We just came to give you and your family gifts." Rose replied.

"I'm sure." Christie nodded. "I understand that you all and my family have your differences, but it doesn't hurt to be together every now and then. Especially today." She added as she rubbed her stomach.

Each of the Crystals looked at one another and at Greg. He shrugged and each of them took a seat in the living room.

June 7th 8:55 p.m. (Six Months Later)

At Chopper Hospital the day had finally arrived. The new addition to the Evans Family was coming. So many months had passed...but now...it was time.

"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!"

Outside in the waiting room the Rainbows and the Crystals sat down in their chairs as Christie's echoing screams surged throughout the room.

"That's it! I have to go and save her!" Rose declared as she got up from her chair and walked toward the door. As she got close a black portal opened up, making her go through it before reappearing at the opposite of the room.

"Don't. We are all staying here until we are notified." Onyx informed.

"Do you know hear your mother screaming in agony!?" Rose yelled.

"Duh! All of us can hear it!" Pyrope said as he stood up. "That's apart of the process when the baby is coming out of her!"

"She's gonna die!" Rose yelled.

"No, she's not!" Charoite yelled as she walked up to her. "Don't you dare say that, Rose! She is not gonna die. She is going to be fine. Azurite is the greatest doctor on the planet. Plus, our father is with her. Our mother is going to be fine."

"We should at least be with her." Rose addressed.

"We're not allowed in the pregnancy room." Lepidolite replied. "We will go to her when Azurite comes back."

Rose's eyes slowly glared at them. How could they just allow this? How could they just allow their mother to go through so much pain? They're just accepting this and not doing a thing about it. She couldn't accept that.

"Rose." Greg said, gaining her attention. "Christie is going to be fine. This is what it means to have a baby. When they're finally born the mother does go through pain, but after that it will be all worth it. She's going to be okay. For now, we have to follow the rules of the hospital. Please."

Rose's glare softened as she looked at him. She turned her head to the Rainbows as she took a seat.

The door of the waiting room soon opened and Azurite stepped it, making everyone turn to look at her.

"Is mom okay?" Citrine asked first.

Azurite nodded. "Our mother is going to be fine. Now, would everyone like to meet our new addition to the family?"

Hearing this made everyone stand up from their seats and follow Azurite out of the room. Walking through the halls they made a turn and approached the pregnancy room. Opening the doors they stepped inside and saw Green standing next to Christie lying in bed. Then...right in Christie's arms...was the baby. Quietly approaching them the Rainbows smiled at their parents as Rose and the Crystals watched the baby with amazement and curiosity.

Looking closely at the baby everyone saw it's cute little green hair and...it's adorable face.

"It's a boy." Rose whispered.

"Yes." Christie replied as tears fell onto her cheeks. "His name is Kameron."

"Awww... That's a good name for him." Lepidolite quietly gushed.

"We decided that if we had a son his name would be Kameron. If we had a daughter her name would be Krystal. Either way, our son is truly beautiful." Green said as his eyes watered.

Small moans began to exit out of the baby, making everyone closely watch him. Slowly his eyes began to twitch and open themselves up. His right eye was green with a diamond-shaped pupil while his left eye was crystal blue with a normal pupil.

Quiet gasped exited from everyone's mouth as they got closer to Christie and baby Kameron.

"Hi, sweetie. It's so nice to finally meet you." Christie said quietly, but lovingly. "I'm your mom. This is your dad, your brothers, your sisters, your uncle, and your aunts."

Baby Kameron turned his eyes to everyone around him. His eyes blinked as his lips formed a small cute smile.

That smile made Lepidolite and Charoite hold each other as tears fell from their eyes. Citrine grabbed his brothers and started bawling his eyes out while crushing them at the same time. Amber crossed her arms as she wiped her tears. Azurite covered her mouth as she cried. Rose squealed as she bounced on her toes from the sheer cuteness.

[Clip 1]

On the sandy shores of Beach City as the waves calmly splashed in, a gently breeze passed on through the air, and seagulls flew on high in the skies it was just an average ordinary day with the sun shining her rays of warm light onto the planet.

Sitting on the sands Baby Kameron sucked on his pacifier as he looked up.

"Just look at him. He's so adorable." Rose's voice said.

Baby Kameron blinked at his tilted his head. To his left a hand came out, holding his rattle. Turning his head he immediately took it and started shaking it while bouncing himself.

Numerous giggles surrounded him as he bounced.

Standing on the sands of the beach Lepidolite, Charoite, Azurite, and Amber stood side by side.

"Do we 'ave ta do this?" Amber asked.

"Yes, we do. It's for the future. Tell us about yourselves." Christie's voice replied.

"Okay." Lepidolite said as she placed her hands on her hips. "Hello, Kameron of the future! I'm Lepidolite."

"My name is Charoite." Charoite said softly with a hand on her hip.

"I am Azurite." Azurite said as she took a bow.

"Alright. Mah name is Amber." Amber concluded as she crossed her arms.

"We're your big sisters. And we've got a little treat for your future self. Ready, girls?" Lepidolite said.

Each of her sisters nodded as they set away from one another by a few inches. The Rainbow Sisters each had their hands on their hips while slightly bouncing off of the sand. They each started swaying their hips while bobbing their heads. They each released their hands from their hips and raised them to the skies above.

"Let's go, Kameron! Let's go!" They each cheered. "Let's go, Kameron! Let's go!"

The Rainbow Sisters placed their arms down as they stepped forward, taking a twirl and kicking a leg into the air.

"L-O-V-E. That's what's my heart is saying!" Each sister called out. "Y-O-U! Our words are very true!"

Each sister held their hands close to their chests, forming them into hearts. "We love you, Kameron! No matter what!"

Near the shores of the beach Pyrope, Citrine, and Onyx stood.

"Yo! My name is Pyrope!" Pyrope called out.

"I'm Citrine." Citrine said as he smashed his fists together.

"Onyx." Onyx said nonchalantly as he adverted his eyes.

"We're your big brothers. Keep this in mind. We love you, but that doesn't mean we're gonna be soft on you every now and then." Pyrope said as he cracked his knuckles. "Life ain't all sun shine and rainbows."

"That doesn't mean we're not gonna protect you either. Anything or anyone that hurts you, I'll take care of it." Citrine added as he smashed his fists again.

"Don't cause too much trouble." Onyx concluded.

[Clip 4]

Sitting on a blanket as a small breeze passed on, Green and Christie sat close together while intertwining their hands together.

"Kameron. There is no words to describe how amazing it is to have you brought into our lives." Green said softly. "I do not want to sound grim or cruel, but understand that most of your family isn't fully human. We are beings known as Gems. We come from a race beyond this planet and...we have done many things we are not proud of. Our bodies are made of light. We do not carry any organic substance, and yet your birth is a pure wholesome miracle."

"We love you so, so much, honey. Whatever your future-self is doing right now, I hope he's okay. I am not going to lie and say that everything is going to be fine. There will be challenges for you to face. Struggles you won't be sure to handle. Pain that will make you feel alone in the world. But please, please don't forget that there are people who love you, care about you, and will do anything to help you through it." Christie added.

Both of them slowly raised up their hands, showing their dove-shaped rings. "This is the symbol of the Rainbow Gems. The dove represents peace. That is what we are fighting for. That is our ultimate goal. Not just for ourselves, but for the Earth and it's inhabitants." Green said before him and Christie lowered their hands. "I do not wish to lie to you, my son, but...it is complicated to explain what has happened in the past and what could happen in the future. You don't have to be apart of this, but if you do, I will speak the truth."

"Please don't be so hard on your father and siblings. They've had their own struggles to handle as I have. But remember, no matter what happens, we will always love you. That is the absolute truth." Christie added.

Placing his foot on a rock Greg lifted his guitar up as he straightened his shades.

"Hello, Kameron. You're probably wondering who I am? Well...here's your answer." Greg said as he strung his guitar. "The name is Mr. Universe. You're lookin' at him right now. The coolest uncle in the cosmos."

Strumming his guitar for a moment Greg removed his foot from the rock and lowered his shades. "Whenever you're feeling down, I'll be there. Even when you think I'm not I will. You're uncle will make sure that no negativity will get you. And if it does, I'll blow it away with my music."

He gave a wink.

The Crystal Gems stood on the sand while Rose held Kameron in her arms. His eyes were closed with small puffs of air leaving his tiny nose. Rose softly rocked him back and forth, smiling lovingly at the child.

"Kameron. When a Gem is born, it's for a reason. We burst out of the ground already knowing who we are and who we're suppose to be and do. But you...you came into this life far different than us." Rose said softly.

"It's true. Your birth is the most unusual out of all of us, but...it is really unique." Pearl said quietly as she looked at him.

"I can't wait to see what kind of trouble maker he'll be." Amethyst said as she softly poked at Kameron's cheek.

"Amethyst." Pearl quietly yelled.

"Jus' sayin'." Amethyst retorted.

"Would you like to hold him, Pearl?" Rose asked.

Pearl's eyes shot open as she raised her hands and shook them rapidly. "Oh, no. No, no, no. I have no experience with this and-"

Rose softly placed Kameron into Pearl's arms, cutting her off. Gazing down at him Baby Kameron hummed as he snuggled his head against her chest. Pearl's lips slowly stretched into a smile as she looked at him.

"Kameron has accepted you." Garnet said as she softly placed her hand on the baby's head. "He has already accepted us. There's no need to be afraid."

"Maybe I should have a baby too." Rose said, making the rest of the Crystals look at her.

"Rose. You can't have a baby. Green was able to have because he's a Diamond and a miracle." Pearl replied.

"Why not? It's now officially possible. Besides, look at him. Despite what will happen, seeing a baby is making me want to be a mother too." Rose stated.

Pearl looked down at Kameron right before looking back at Rose. Green having a baby is one thing, but Rose having one? That's crazy. Though knowing Rose she'll want to do it even if others would be against it. But the process into creating a baby...made her shiver, especially since it involved Greg.

"Thank you, Kameron. You've given me a new perspective I never thought I would ever imagine." Rose said softly as she bent over, kissing Kameron's forehead.

The Evans family and the Universes all gathered around, waving.

"You're greatest among us, Kameron. Always follow your path and your dove will fly high into the stars." Rose called out.

End Of Episode 43.

Wow. This took longer than I thought, but it was worth it. I really wanted to expand Christie's backstory and how what happened back then is brought up now.

Trivia: A legacy is leaving something behind for future generations or a past event that happened in the past and is still present as of now. Kameron is the Legacy of the Rainbow Gems, the same with Steven being the Legacy of the Crystal Gems.

Hope you all enjoyed this.
