Hello my fellow readers. Welcome to the Season 3 Finale of Crystal Rainbow. Yes, you heard me right and surprisingly, this is episode fifty-two. Canon had fifty-two episodes, so I'm not entirely sure if this is coincidence or just an accident, but I just wanted to point that out.

Now...on with the episode.

Warning: Long Episode

Episode 52: The Cause

Many eons ago

Home-World. Far, far away within the depths of space lies the birthplace of all Gem-kind and the foundation of The Great Diamond Authority, an empire created by the very first Gems in existence...the Diamonds.

White Diamond, head of the Authority oversees every action among her court. Being the largest among the other Diamonds, it was her who first gave thought into the creation of the empire and it was she who created the very principles of law onto her fellow people to ensure that the very rules created shall be followed for protection, guidance, and understanding.

Yellow Diamond, head of Home-World's military promotes strength, loyalty, duty, and might onto her court. Those born under her care were in awe at the tremendous power she wields and followed her examples to the letter, demonstrating the power their planet holds to fight and defend against the unknown.

Blue Diamond, the ambassador of Home-World promotes diplomacy throughout her court and among the stars, creating peace among her people and the depths of space, if possible. Showing mercy was her strongest action that gave a sense of morality to her people, in which they would use before committing any actions. However, she is not so passive either when push comes to shove, something she has demonstrated to outsiders on multiple occasions. Therefore, if agreements can be made then all is well, but if agreements can't be made under terms then only one solution remains.

Green Diamond, the enforcer of his court promotes order and justice among his people. To ensure that chaos, conflict, and aggression were to be kept in check, it was he who ensured that any action, quarrels, or confrontations were to be settled with fairness, logic, and reasoning. It was he alone who made this suggestion and acted upon it, giving positive and stern examples to his people, though unfortunate to several or outside of his planet.

Lastly, Pink Diamond, the head of celebrations promotes excitement, joy, and entertainment onto her court. Once her people return from space and have claimed victory a celebration is in order. Though that is not always the case as she encourages those under her care to entertain and bring happiness through a variety of activities. At times her planet can get boring and dull, not to mention too serious, so she helps out her people so any negative emotions can be brought down by more positive ones.

Over the horizon the sun slowly began to rise, shining it's rays and illuminating the skies above. Within the population of Carbon Central a large crystalline castle stood tall, refracting the sun's rays onto the city. Inside the structure Green Diamond sat down on his throne with a knuckle underneath his chin. Standing next to his throne was a green Gem with long dark-green shoulder-length hair, light green eyes and skin, a dark-green shoulder-less dress, and her Gemstone was placed on her right wrist.

"Pearl." Green called.

Green Pearl turned her head and looked up to him, "Yes, my Diamond?"

"Inform the guards to bring me the accused." Green said.

With a silent nod Green Pearl quickly jogged through the throne room and exited out using a small access point. As she left Green released a sigh from his mouth while closing his eyes. It was not long ago that several Gems had disobeyed Home-World's laws or broke away from their assigned roles. To be honest, it was a major hassle to have multiple reports brought in all at once. Green did not know the actions that have transpired as of yet, but once the accused have arrived he can thoroughly analyze and examine the crimes they have committed.

Green's eyes soon opened at the sound of his door opening. Looking onward he carefully watched as his Pearl and multiple Topazes brought in six Gems: Amber, Pyrope, Citrine, Charoite, Lepidolite, and Onyx. As they were brought into the throne room each of the accused were brought down onto their knees. The Topazes stood from each side, carefully watching the accused as they lifted their head up at Green.

"Pearl. What has Amber done?" Green asked.

"According to her commander, she was tasked in hunting down various refugees that have gone rogue. Upon reaching them she instead let them go, which resulted in her arrest." Green Pearl explained.

"Is this true?" Green asked.

"Yeah, it's true." Amber replied while adverting her eyes. She then turned her head and glared at her Diamond, "I released them because their were children there. I couldn't understand it myself, but the expressions they were giving me...that was a type of fear I had never seen before."

Green hummed. "I see." He then turned his attention to Pyrope, "What has this Pyrope done?"

"From his commander he and many other Pyropes were assigned to colonize a place in area 666. So far they had followed orders, but this Pyrope spared the life of an individual because of his family. Another Pyrope handled the job, however in response this Pyrope brutally attacked his comrade and shattered him with a single strike of his axe." Green Pearl explained.

Green's eyes slowly widened at her words. "Such violence. What is your explanation, Pyrope?"

"WHAT DO YOU THINK!?" Pyrope yelled. "That bastard deserved it! They were a peaceful race and the one I spared made me realize what I was doing was wrong! We've been doing this for too long! We've gotta stop!"

Green turned his head away, making Pyrope growl as his Diamond's attention was now placed onto the Citrine. "What is the crime of this Citrine?"

"Him, his group, and several Bismuths were tasked in a far system to demolish and colonize a fellow planet. Everything was going smoothly until they were confronted by a single inhabitant. The inhabitant begged and pleaded for them to not cause anymore destruction to his home in exchange for a material object. This Citrine agreed to the terms without any consent from his followers and began attacking them when they tried taking the object away from him." Green Pearl explained.

"What was the object?" Green asked.

Green Pearl turned to her Diamond and raised her right arm up as her Gemstone began to glow. a small sphere of light erupted out of it before it slowly grew and expanded. The green light around the object started to fade, revealing it's true form, an orange metal containment emitting an orange light from it's center. "It was this, my Diamond. This "lantern" as the inhabitant described was the cause of this Citrine to go berserk."

"I've never seen anything like it before. I wanted it." Citrine said. "And...seeing how the inhabitant truly cared about his home, it was a good deal."

Green hummed once more as he turned to Charoite, "What are the crimes of this Charoite?"

"She was ordered to do a simple reconnaissance mission revolving a kingdom. She escorted the princess and prince of said kingdom, giving away her position." Green Pearl explained.

"The princess was critically injured, my Diamond!" Charoite yelled. "Though it was my order to hide in plain sight, I couldn't bring myself to ignore my surroundings. I had to help them."

"I see." Green replied. He then turned to Lepidolite, "The Lepidolite?"

"She and four other Lepidolites were about to stage a grand music number among Pink Diamond's court. However, this Lepidolite did not appear on stage and instead ran away until she was caught by another Amber." Green Pearl explained.

"I had to run!" Lepidolite yelled with tears forming in her eyes. "The other Lepidolites were abusing me! All I've done was to give the performance of a lifetime, but every single time our performance is over the others beat me, hurt me, and say awful things to me. I CAN'T DO THIS ANYMORE! NOT IF IT MEAN TO KEEP SUFFERING LIKE THIS!" She added as she began to sob.

Her cries echoed throughout the room, making everyone stare at her as she continued to cry. But...as she kept crying a Topaz appeared right behind her, grabbing her head and halting her crying. "We are in the presence of first Gems in existence. Do not cry in front of him." The Topaz said sternly.

"Topaz!" Green said, gaining her attention. "Release the accused. No such violence is allowed in my castle. The verdict shall be applied once all explanations have been met and heard. Is that understood?"

The Topaz immediately released her hand from Lepidolite's head, "Y-Yes, my Diamond. I-I mean no disrespect."

"Keep that in mind, Topaz. Otherwise I would put you through the same process as the accused. Do not commit such acts in front of me again." Green replied firmly.

The Topaz nodded.

With a sigh exiting from his mouth Green locked his eyes onto the last of the accused: the Onyx. "What is the wrongdoings of this Onyx?"

"This Onyx was going through the process of executing a Milky Quartz for disrespecting her commanders and going rogue. Unfortunately, the execution was never committed because he instead released her physical form rather than shattering her Gemstone." Green Pearl explained.

"Did you have a form of affection for this Milky Quartz, Onyx?" Green asked.

Onyx nodded.

"What is your reasoning for not giving her death from insubordination?" Green said.

"Her actions were falsified." Onyx replied. "She was framed for her crimes, yet all evidence were pointed to her. It is true, I have some affection for her since she would often speak to me after executions. For that, I spared her life."

Green nodded. This...this was rather interesting. The actions of these six Gems were...unlike anything that had occurred. Yes, each of them had broken against their own purposes, but these actions that were entering Green's ears had made...an interesting affect on his mind. Yes...yes, this is exactly what was needed, although one more Gem would've completed the scenario, but perhaps that Gem will appear in due time.

"Good. All explanations have been said." Green said as he lifted himself from his throne. "Topazes. Leave the accused. I shall handle them accordingly." He added, stepping down until he got to the last step.

Each of the Topazes turned their heads to one another before planting their eyes onto Green, "My Diamond. With all due respect, and this our personal opinion, but wouldn't it be best to simply put them in Jet Prison or shatter them?"

Green's eyes slowly narrowed while his eyes began to glow, "Are you disagreeing with my decision?"

Each of the Topazes quickly shook their heads. "No, no! It was only a suggestion, my Diamond." Topaz #1 added.

"You may voice your opinions to me and the rest of the Diamonds, but do not forget who holds authority in this situation." Green said as he walked. "If I say I will handle these six rogue Gems, then I shall handle it."

"My Diamond's words are absolute." Green Pearl stated. "Further suggestions such as that will fall under insubordination. Are you more than willing to fail in understanding my Diamond's words?"

Each of the Topazes quickly shook their heads.

"LEAVE." Green called out.

Without a response the Topazes turned around and quickly exited the room. As they left Green approached the six Gems while his eyes returned to normal. Stopping in front of them Green Pearl stood next to him as he looked down at the rogues. Looking up each of the six Gems could only imagine what Green was going to do to them for their actions. It could be anything from getting shattered, getting placed in a bubble, or worse...getting turned into a Corrupted.

A green aura soon engulfed around the Diamond from head to toe...just when his size began to shrink. The six Gems and Green Pearl carefully watched Green Diamond, one of the very first Gems on the planet decrease his size until he ultimately stopped, making him taller than his Pearl, Amber, Pyrope, Charoite, Lepidolite, and Onyx but shorter than Citrine.

"W-Why have you decreased your size, my Diamond?" Lepidolite asked as she wiped her eyes.

"Because... This era is coming to an end." Green replied softly.

The six rogue Gems stared at him with wide eyes. This era was coming to an end? W-What was that suppose to mean? Just the words alone send a plethora of questions in their minds from what he just told them.

"What are you talking about?" Charoite asked.

"I will tell you all, but you must trust me. This information must not leave this castle. Please." Green replied.

Each of the Gems glanced at one another, wondering what their response should be. For one, each of them were arrested for their actions and expected the worst to come from a Diamond, but decreasing his size and telling them that the era was coming to an end was something no-one expect him to say. At the very least...they should hear him out.

"Okay. We'll listen." Amber said.

"Not like we got a choice in the matter." Pyrope added.

Green nodded, "Thank you. Pearl, unlock their binds."

"Don't have to tell me twice." Green Pearl replied as she walked behind the rogue Gems. One after the other she easily released their binds from their bodies, allowing them to freely move their arms and legs.

"I acquire your aid." Green said.

"What kind of aid?" Citrine replied. "More than that, what do mean this era is coming to an end?"

Green narrowed his eyes, "I am putting a stop to this madness. Logically, we have a good reason as to why we continue to expand our empire and colonize many planets within this unforgiving universe. For that, we understood from the very beginning. However, another thought had transpired within my mind. Something I never thought would occur to me." He added as he walked over to a nearby window.

"What was that thought?" Amber asked.

Stopping at the window Green crossed his arms, looking out to witness what he'd accomplished. "Everyone. Come. Look out the window."

Without even needing to speak, Green Pearl walked up to her Diamond, standing at his side. Lepidolite then approached her Diamond, coming up to his side while holding her hands together. Charoite soon followed alongside Amber and Citrine. Pyrope and Onyx were last go and as everyone stood side by side they each gazed at what was right outside the castle. Outside was Carbon Central, filled with various buildings and structures made by many Bismuths. The Pebbles walking in the streets, casually going through their daily grinds. The Bismuths, building many areas for them to live and prosper while Citrines demolish old fragile areas so they make way for new projects to develop. Rubies guarding and escorting Sapphires, Amethysts and Jaspers readying themselves for wars, and Lapis Lazulies returning from terraforming their assigned planets.

"This...is what me and the Diamonds have created. A society of peace and harmony. That was our ultimate goal after the countless invasions we fell victim of from the unknown of space. But...even as we all gaze upon the success we've worked so hard to obtain, in reality we've also become just like our invaders." Green said sternly.

"What?" Pyrope replied. "We're not like them."

"Is that so?" Green said. "Then tell me, everyone. Put yourself in the positions of the inhabitants from worlds we've colonized. They came to us, not knowing who we are or what we are capable of and yet they ask and plead for our help. We listen, learning what is happening to their kind, their cultures, and their environment. Once we understood we decline their plead and in turn war arises. Countless die, many lives suffer at their hands, but even if they not enjoy what they are doing, they do not have any other choice nor any other options. Understand?"

Green's words impacted the rogues. Honestly, they've never really thought of it like that and to be fair he was right. Their kind had become no different than the rest of the universe. But...what are they suppose to do? Seriously...with that kind of logic given to them what are they suppose to do? Just stop? That's not going to work. They can't just stop with what they are doing or catastrophe will begin to erupt.

"So...what's going to happen?" Lepidolite asked.

"For now, the time is not right. It is too early to put everything into motion. For this to be accomplished I also require the aid of the rest of you. Your skills, your talents, your unique ways of thinking. I have admire them for a time and I am asking for your cooperation." Green replied, turning his body to them.

"What do we acquire in return?" Onyx asked.

"A new life." Green replied. "Each of your shall live freely without the guidance of the Diamonds or the indoctrinations we've spread into your minds. But...I will warn each of you. Even if this succeeds, peace and harmony will not last long. We will still need to keep on fighting until there comes a day when we claim true peace. I do not know when it will happen, but I have no doubts that it will come to pass."

A new life? That sounded more like a dream, a mere fantasy. The rogue Gems glanced at each other, wondering if they really should take this offering from Green Diamond. I mean...he's never went back on his word. He's truly sincere to a fault and doesn't make decisions from weak assumptions. No surprise that there's no turning back once they agree to this. Once they start, everything changes for better and for worse.

"I accept." Charoite said.

"I will follow." Onyx added.

"Me too. This already sounds a lot better than what I'm doing now. Besides, I've got nothing to lose." Lepidolite added.

"I'll do it if it means I can do what I want after." Citrine added.

"As long as I make an actual difference, then fine." Pyrope added, cracking his knuckles.

Amber sighed as she crossed her arms, "Alright. I'm in. But this better be worth it, Green."

"You all have my word. For now, I'm afraid you all need to be sentenced to Jet Prison. Once I began my part follow me and our change will began." Green replied.

With that said Green Pearl went behind each of the rogue Gems, rebinding them. Green slowly regrew his original size as Green Pearl soon called in the Topazes and alerting them of what to do. In turn each of the rogues followed them without speaking or fighting back. As they all left Green Pearl turned around to her Diamond as he kneeled, placing his hand on the ground while she stepped into it before she was raised toward his face and jumped onto his shoulder.

"Are you sure this is going to work?" Green Pearl asked.

"It has to." Green replied. "And I'm afraid I cannot allow you to take part in it."

A gasp exited from Green Pearl's mouth. "What!? Why!? I wanna be by your side, my Diamond. I wanna do this! Please?"

"I understand, my beloved Pearl. However, I do not wish to lose you. Ever since the day you were born I've held you close and while it is very unfair of me to do this to you, I cannot bare to witness your demise." Green replied truthfully.

Green Pearl's lips began to shake as did her eyes. Her and her Diamond have known each other since the very beginnings of Home-World; since the day she was brought into existence. They've always stayed together and helped build the society they've made and now he doesn't want her involved in his plan. That truly wasn't fair at all to her. It's not her choice, but she too couldn't bare to lose him.

"What are you going to do to me?" Green Pearl asked, her voice began to break.

"I must send you away." Green answered. "But only when the time is right. I am truly sorry, my beloved Pearl."

Tears bean to swell in her eyes as she walked up to his cheek and hugged it the best she could. A few sobs slowly exited her mouth while she rubbed her head into his cheek. Green raised his hand and carefully rubbed her back with a single finger. If there were any other way he would allow his Pearl to take part in this, he would without a second thought. Unfortunately, with the type of plan he had conjured, her involved would end with her death, a calculation he could never allow.

The moon rose into the sky, shining her nocturnal light among the Gems of Home-World. For many individuals, they've fallen into slumber. Though sleep wasn't acquired, it was very much needed to ensure their energy would be regained and fully charged. For others, they remained awake to complete the tasks given to them or to be prepared for off-world travel. Peace had enveloped onto the planet, but not to everyone.

Genesis Quarry. This place, this very soil is the direct location where each of the Diamonds emerged for the very first time. Within this massive stone pit laid five stone thrones, each one facing five large holes from various angles. One was located at the very top of the quarry. One was located near several scorched trees. One was place near a pool of water. One was located near a cavern of crystals. And the final hole was located near a field of flowers.

From the cavern of crystals Green Diamond walked out with Green Pearl sitting on his shoulder. From the field of flowers Pink Diamond happily skipped by alongside her Pearl, who giggled with her Diamond. From the pool of water Blue Diamond emerged from it with her Pearl following after. From the scorched trees Yellow Diamond calmly walked through with a stern expression while her Pearl stayed on her shoulder, crossing her arms while smirking. Lastly was White Diamond who stood at the top of the quarry, holding her Pearl in one hand. With a single leap into the air White and her Pearl descended below, landing onto the lower Quarry with a loud thud.

"My friends." White said softly. "It is truly wonderful to see you all here on this beautifully perfect night."

"I completely agree, my Diamond. The moon is shining beautifully tonight. The stars in the skies are in blissful symmetry. And I cannot forget how well aligned our thrones are." White Pearl added.

"It's so good to see you all again." Pink said cheerfully. "Though I wish we could expand our get-togethers more often."

"That sounds wonderful, Pink. Oh, I could think of interesting group activities for us to get involved in." Pink Pearl added.

"While I am somewhat grateful to see you all, can we make this quick?" Yellow said as she crossed her arms. "I have several fleets to command and a current war to analyze so my warriors can achieve victory."

"Very much so, my Diamond. There are important matters to attend to at the moment rather than these...get-togethers." Yellow Pearl added.

"Come now, Yellow. It is not often we see each other. These gathers are important. Besides, it makes me happy to see each of you here." Blue replied.

"Me too." Blue Pearl added.

"Indeed. I am glad we are together again, my friends. It has been far too long." Green said.

"Definitely. Plus it's good to know what the other has been doing." Green Pearl added.

With all the Diamonds and their Pearls together they each walked up to their thrones before placing themselves onto them. As each of them sat down their Pearl jumped off of them before heading toward the center of the quarrel.

"Before we begin our usual check in, let us first address some recent events." White said as she turned her head to Green. "Green. I've heard six Gem went rogue. Exactly what punishments have you given them?"

"I've sentenced them to Jet Prison." Green replied.

Yellow huffed. "Really now? No shattering? No placements within bubbles?" She questioned.

"I listened to each of their crimes. Each one was indeed very...chaotic, but sending them to prison way the most logically conclusion." Green replied.

"Interesting." White said. "Very well. Let us-"

"Wait!" Pink called out, making the other Diamonds turn to her, "I know I've asked this a lot, but...I was wondering if I can finally have a colony?"

"Pink." White said as she intertwined her fingers. "We've talked about this before."

"You are still going to receive the same answer." Yellow added.

Pink quickly narrowed her eyes and puffed up her cheeks. "It's not fair! It's not fair! I wanna help too!" Pink yelled as she slammed her fists onto her throne arms. "You all are doing your best to save our world and leaving me out of it! I. Want. To. Help! I wanna save Home-World! I'm apart of this just as much as you four are! I'm important too! Why can't I pinch in!"

Ugh. There she goes, throwing yet another tantrum just because she doesn't get what she want. Though in this case, it was only this since the rest of her friends were pushing their rocks to make sure their home would be saved. However...due to her personality and behavior, it was a very logical reason why her friends don't have her involved. Besides, she was already busy with her own Court and duties.

"Everyone!" Green yelled, making Pink stop her tantrum. "While I may step out of my boundaries, maybe it would be right time for Pink to start her own colony."

"I'm not so sure that is a wise choice, Green." Blue replied.

"She will continue these tantrums unless we give her a chance." Green pointed out.

White raised her hand, placing a finger underneath her chin. Green does make a fair point, Pink might continue these aggressive tantrums unless they gave her a reasonable chance. She is very busy with her own Court, though by giving her this chance she can understand their methods and increase the process. Yes...yes, that would be very sufficient toward their goal.

With a heavy sigh White removed her finger from her chin, "Very well. Pink, you may have a colony."

Those words... Hearing those words made Pink's lips stretch so much she formed a large smile with large diamond pupils in her eyes. Standing up from her throne Pink began to squeal while jumping up and down. Finally! Finally after asking them so many times she'll finally be able to take part of helping her home! She'll finally take pair in being just as important as they are! And she'll finally be able to make a contribution to their goal!

"But!" White said, raising a finger and making her stop in place. "Once you begin this, you must take it very seriously, Pink. And for you to have that perspective I am switching my Pearl with yours."

Pink, White Pearl, and Pink Pearl all gasped at her.

"My Diamond, are you abandoning me?" White Pearl asked, looking up at White. "Did I do something wrong? If I did, please let me correct it."

White shook her head. "No, my perfect Pearl. You have done nothing wrong. I only wish for you to keep Pink focus on the objective and to make sure she isn't procrastinating or getting distracted. Understand?" She said sweetly.

White Pearl blinked at White before she turned her turn to Pink. Being with another Diamond other than her own was very...unsettling. But...if that is what her Diamond acquires then it shall be done.

"Will you give me my Pearl back when I'm finished?" Pink asked, looking down at her Pearl.

"Of course I will. Once you complete your first colony I will allow you to have your Pearl back, but you must work four times has hard, just like each of us do." White replied. "But that topic shall be discussed once we're done. Understand?"

As much as Pink didn't want to have her Pearl being switched with White's, this was an agreement she need to take part in. Once she's done she'll have her Pearl back and they can make more colonies together. Once she's done... That's a promise.

"Will you be okay with White?" Pink asked her Pearl.

Pink Pearl nodded. she rubbed her other arm and turned to look at White. Even if she doesn't like this agreement it was to test how well her Diamond can be at colonization.

White raised up both of her hands and began clapping, "Now that this discussion has reached it's conclusion, let us begin our check in."

"Yes. Let us do that." Yellow said, resting her hand under her chin.

Now that that was out of the way, each Diamond sat on their throne and closed their eyes while each of their Pearls gathered at the center and held hands. One by one each of the Diamonds released a gasp while opening their eyes. Each of their eyes glowed their respected colors while each Pearl began to hum with each of their Gemstones glowing. One by one pillars of light erupted from the Diamonds, shooting themselves straight into the skies. The thrones also began to glow their respected colors as well right as it began to lower itself. The Pearls continued to hum as the platform they were on continued to lower itself.

Slowly each Diamonds' eyes began to revert to normal and the Pearls' hums were starting to getting quieter. The platform soon came to a complete stop, making each of the Diamond stand from their thrones while each of their Pearls went back to them. Picking them up the Diamonds and Pearls turned their heads to see a large underground passageway. Without a word they all began to traverse into it.

Side by side the Diamonds and their Pearls kept their eyes forward as they walked. The more they walked they began to spot large roots etched into the wall with teal lights glowing from them. More and more roots began to appear in their line of sight right as they made turn toward a corner. Straight ahead each Diamonds' eyes start to soften. The Pearls covered their mouths at what they were seeing with their own eyes.

Up ahead laid a massively large organism with multiple roots spread all around it. The organism began to thump every second, emitting small amounts of teal light out of it and into it's roots. However, just below the organism lied several roots, only these were gray with several cracks on them and were void of teal lights.

The Diamonds and their Pearls stopped in place once they got close to it. Side by side no-one spoke a word as they carefully locked their eyes onto the organism. As they watched the sounds of cracking entered their ears, making everyone turn their heads to see a section of roots turn gray and fall off of the organism. Little by little the roots began to showcase more cracks until the broken roots began to break and fall apart.

"This is why we are colonizing other worlds." White said as she stepped forward. "Day after day we add as much energy as we can and little by little the roots will restore themselves. Once all of the roots decay...our Home-World will slowly become a husk as well. Then...we will have nothing left."

"I will make sure my Gems give it everything they have." Yellow replied, stepping forward. "I will not have make mistakes nor get distracted."

"I have visited many planets, informing many lifeforms of our plight." Blue said, stepping forward. "We are lucky most planets willingly give their resources to us, but it saddens me that others decline and merely give us sympathy."

"It truly is tragic that our Core has been reduced to this state." Green replied, stepping forward. "I may step out of line, but isn't it more sufficient for us to relocate to another world?"

"We can't do that, Green." Pink said, steeping forward. "If we do we'll just go through the same thing. We need to do everything we can to ensure the Core survives."

Raising their arms out each of the Diamonds and their Pearls watched as portions of their energy were slowly getting drained from their Gemstones. Each of them soon lowered their arms and soon the Core began to release faster thumps and the teals lights started to shine even brighter than before.

"Our Gems must fight for The Cause. No matter what it takes." White said firmly.

November 11th 11:00 a.m. (Present Day)

At the Evans Residence the Rainbow Gems and Crystal Gems gathered together in the living room. After Peridot spent days duking it out with Lion she finally showed some humility and chose to inform her captives of her objectives. As much as it pains her to do, she had little choice due to them upholding her Limb-enhancers, but at the same time they made an agreement and they kept their end of the bargain, so logically she will do the same.

"Okay. I will inform you clods of my activities." Peridot said. She lifted her arm and produced a small hologram of the Earth. "After Lazuli's capture I was assigned by Yellow Diamond to observe the progression of the Cluster. It was suppose to a simple task. Come here, check it's progress, then return so I may get back to my other duties. However, because of all of you, my last objective is no longer accessible. The Galaxy Warp Pad has been demolished, every other Warp Pad leads to other location on this suffocating planet, and worst of all, EVERY...SINGLE...COMMUNICATION HUB IS DESTROYED BEYOND ANY FORM OF REPAIR."

"What's a Cluster?" Kameron asked.

Peridot blinked as she dismissed her hologram. Her eyes then pointed at both Green Diamond and Pearl. Her lips slowly stretched into a grin, "They don't know, do they, Green?"

Green cocked an eyebrow, "What are you implying?"

Peridot's eyes instant shot open. He doesn't know either? He doesn't know!? A few chuckles exited out of her mouth as she placed her hands onto her hair. Her chuckles soon turned to laughter as she gripped onto her hair. This doesn't make any logical sense what so ever. They been around for eons and yet the leader of the Rainbow Gems has no clue what she was talking about.

Peridot slowly halted her laughter and released her hair. She turned her eyes onto her captors, "You all have no idea what I'm talking about, do you?"

"We don't." Steven replied. "Could you please explain it to us?"

With a sigh Peridot pushed her visor back onto her face. "For me to achieve that I will need to access some ancient records. Do you perchance have any?"

"I have created a book known as the History of The Great War, but it will not inform us of this "Cluster" you speak of." Green replied.

"However, there is a base that I'm sure is still functional to this very day that will inform us of the "Cluster."" Pearl added.

"Where is it?" Connie asked.

"It's on the moon." Pearl answered.

Hearing this Steven's eyes developed star-shaped pupils. "The moon..." He said quietly. "I've always wanted to go to the moon."

"Unfortunately, getting to the moon will be difficult. It is inaccessible by Warp Pad. And I don't believe Warp Whistles will work either." Pearl replied.

All eyes then went onto Onyx. If Warp Pads and Warp Whistles won't help, then the next best thing is a Gem with the ability to teleport using portals.

"You, Onyx. Can you take us to the moon?" Amethyst asked.

Onyx slowly shook his head. "Sadly, I cannot."

"What!?" Amethyst yelled as she stood up from the floor. "C'mon, man! You out of everyone here can go anywhere you want in a cinch. You can't get us to the moon!?"

"I cannot. Need I remind you, Amethyst, that my abilities do not function as you said. I can teleport to many places, yes, but only to locations I have already traveled to. They are very similar to the Warp Whistles. I have not once been to the moon before and so I am unable to get us there." Onyx replied.

"Then I guess there's only one other way." Kameron said.

"What's the alternative?" Peridot replied.

Standing up from the couch Kameron walked over to the kitchen and stopped near the patio door. Right outside was none other than pink-furred king of the jungle himself, Lion, who was simply resting on a large pillow.

"That will work." Garnet said.

With that said everyone went outside and circled around Lion, making him open his eyes to see them before closing them again.

"Lion, we need your help. Can you take us to the moon?" Steven asked.

Lion merely turned his head over, snuggling his head onto the pillow.

"Please Lion?" Connie said, kneeling in front of him. "This is very important. I know we've asked you to help us with Peridot, but we need your help again. Please?"

Lion just lazily snarled. That's Lion... On occasions does he actually come in and help his caretakers while on the other side he doesn't want to do anything but nap or ask for head-rubs.

"It appears drastic actions are called for." Green said. He the snapped his fingers, making Amber stand in front of him before she pulled out her revolver and pointed it right at his head.

"We're tryin' ta be nice ta ya, Lion. Ya did a good job wit Peridot, but we need ya help again. If not, then I guess Ah'll have ta raise ya heartbeat." Amber added, slightly pressing the trigger.

With another snarl Lion stood up from the ground and yawned. He soon kneeled himself over as his body was engulfed in a pink glow. One after the other Amber, Azurite, Pyrope, Citrine, Charoite, Lepidolite, Onyx, and Green entered into Lion's mane followed by Pearl, Garnet, Amethyst, and Bismuth. Peridot slowly approached the creature and calmly placed her hand onto his mane and slowly went into it.

"You all be careful, Okay." Christie said.

"We will mom." Kameron replied as he watched his father enter Lion's mane.

Now that the numbers have decreased Steven and Connie got on Lion's back with Kameron getting on behind his little brother. Turning his head he placed his eyes on Lapis. It's been...awkward between the two since they...kissed. At school he confronted Brittney about what she told Lapis, which really didn't help his state of mind. It was a sweet gesture, no lie about that, but...having another girlfriend was...a complicated mess. Not that the idea is bad, but...trying to move on from the past isn't easy. Maybe...just maybe... Hard to think about.

"Wait!" Lapis called as she approached Lion. "I...I want to come to."

Steven and Connie gasped while Kameron's widened.

"Are you sure? You said you didn't want any part in this." Kameron said softly.

Lapis nodded. "You're right, I did say that, but...I've been thinking about it lately. As much as I don't want to do this...I don't want to just stand by anymore. I have so many things I'm still figuring out, but at the very least if I have the chance to help, I'll take it."

"Even if it means you'll be caught in another war?" Kameron said.

"Even if it means getting caught in another war." Lapis replied. "So...can I stay at your side, Kameron?"

In all honesty, Kameron wanted her out of this too. She's been through so much and she deserves to stay out of the conflict. However...that wasn't a decision for him to make. It was her choice to decide what she wants to do, no matter how much worrying he had for her. He'll protect her just like she'll protect him, creating this...new relationship they made together.

"If that's what you want Lapis, then I won't stop you." Kameron said, offering his hand to her.

Lapis' lips stretched into a grin as she took his hand before he brought her onto Lion. As she straddled on she wrapped her arms around his waist, just to be safe.

"Be safe everyone. And Kameron?" Christie said, making her son turn to her, "You and Lapis are cute together. Make sure you both take care of each other, okay." She added, giving him a wink.

Both the teenager and teenage Gem's cheek instant burned at her words. Kameron and Lapis glanced at each other for a moment before quickly adverting their eyes. It also didn't help that Steven and Connie were giggling at them.

"L-Lion. Please take us to the moon." Kameron said.

With his eyes glowing pink Lion roared at a nearby fence right before he ran into it before it closed up.

November 11th 12:00 p.m.

Holding on tightly Kameron, Lapis, Steven, and Connie gripped on Lion's fur as they were warping toward their destination. Lion soon released another roar, speeding them up further until he launched another roar, and another, and another to increase their speed.

With one more roar another portal opened up, only this time as they entered they arrived at their destination before sliding through the floor and impacting the wall, making everyone on Lion fall. Grunts exited out of their mouths as everyone opened their eyes, but quickly regretted it. Lapis' face was dangerously close to Kameron's while Connie's got dangerously close to Steven's. The boys locked their eyes with the girls as their cheeks burned, but just as someone attempted to speak the others started coming out of Lion's mane.

Once Peridot came out last they were award with an interesting action taking place.

"Oh, boys. You two should know you're way too young for that." Lepidolite said while covering her mouth.

Lapis and Connie quickly picked themselves up, removing themselves from the laps of the boys while the boys slowly got up. As they did their eyes quickly took notice of the walls. From each angle there was like a mural showing each of the Diamonds with various planets surrounding them.

"Is this the right place?" Connie asked around.

"Let me check." Amethyst replied as she walked over to a wall with a panel. "I think this might be a door." She added as she placed her hand on it. Once she did a door opened up, sucking up the area in the vacuum of space until Amethyst closed it back. "Yep. We're on the moon."

"Amethyst! Don't pull us into the void of space. Steven and Kameron can't survive out there for long without oxygen." Pearl scolded.

Speak of which, Steven and Kameron slowly began to float in the air. Steven began to giggle as he started flying while Kameron merely stood in place and hummed at what was happening. Connie began to float as well, making her giggle as she flew over to Steven. Lapis on the other hand remained on the ground, but sprouted her wings and ascended to Kameron.

"This is so amazing. How is this even possible?" Connie said.

"Gravity, Connie." Citrine replied. "Space doesn't have any of it, so your body-weight decreases to the point of levitating."

"That's...actually very accurate, Citrine." Pearl complimented.

"Then how come you all aren't floating?" Steven asked.

"We're Gems, Steven. Though our bodies are made of light, they also shift our gravity to any planetoid we arrive to." Peridot explained.

"So any planet you go to automatically shifts your gravity to match it?" Kameron asked as Lapis helped him get down.

"Yes." Green replied.

"Then what's with the murals?" Kameron asked, pointing back at the wall.

Green slowly approached his mural with thirteen planets surrounding his body. His eyes gazed over at the murals of Blue, Pink, Yellow, and White. He couldn't help but smirk at them, even if it was shameless. "These were made for Pink. They were created to remember who her companions were."

"I'll give the artisans some credit. They did do a very amazing job creating these, especially my Diamond." Peridot replied as she looked at Yellow's mural. She then shook her head and coughed into her hand. "But let's not get distracted." She added as she walked over to Blue's mural before getting down on her knees. "If I recall, I assume the process works like...this?"

Separating her hands a white light began to illuminate and create a large fleet of stairs. One by one the Rainbow Gems and Crystal Gems walked up the stairs while illuminating their path using their Gemstones. With every step they took they all continued observing their surroundings. Can't fully blame them since they literally are on the moon. The moon! A large rock hovering over Earth's gravity and giving off light during nightfall while being rarely visible during daylight.

Reaching the top of the flight of stairs the group found a large room with a sphere hovering at it's center.

"What's that?" Steven said.

"Not why we came here." Garnet replied.

Without saying a word Kameron walked away from the others, approaching the sphere.

"Kameron, we don't know what that is. Leave it alone." Pyrope called out.

"It looks important." Kameron replied. Reaching his hand out he placed it onto the sphere and soon the walls around them rapidly changed, giving everyone a clear view of Earth. "Is this...an observation hub?"

"Yeah, it is." Lapis said, walking up to him. "How did you know?"

"My dad showed me one once." Kameron replied. "This doesn't look too different than the one I saw. Honestly, it's kinda like what globes might become in the future." He added as he tapped a finger onto a location and in turn the entire area quickly shifted into that location. From left to right were various houses of brick and stone with multiple people casually walking around.

"Whoa... Where are we?" Connie asked.

"Tierra De Lobos, Mexico." Kameron replied. He turned his head to see Miguel sitting on some stones playing a guitar. His expression was...neutral at best as continued to strum his strings while singing, gaining the attention of a few onlookers. "Miguel... Lo lamento..." He whispered to himself.

"May I see the hub, brother?" Azurite asked.

With a silent nod Kameron stepped away, allowing his sister to coming up to the hub and pressed her finger onto a certain location. Once pressed the area changed into sandy landscapes and...destroyed villages.

"What is this place?" Connie asked.

"Mask Island." Azurite calmly replied. Her eyes gazed at the tragedy of the once peaceful land and the extinction of her people. Thankfully...the masks were still there. "Wo' de ren. Zhidao jihtian, wu rengran xiangnian ni." She whispered in Chinese.

Lapis turned her head to her, softly placing her hand onto her shoulder.

"We should keep going." Kameron said.

"Yes." Azurite replied, turning to the others. "My apologizes for the distractions."

"Nothing to apologize for, sis." Pyrope said.

Leaving the observation area the group went up another flight of stairs, leading them to top floor of the base. All around them showed large hexagon-shaped windows, giving them another view of the Earth, only much larger and a access system.

"Green. Are you familiar with these kinds of systems?" Peridot asked.

Without responding Green placed himself onto the chair of the system and scooted up. "It's been a long while since I've used a system such as this, but let's see if I can manage." He added, placing his hands onto a keypad.

Everyone carefully placed their eyes onto the screen as Green began to unlock the system and opened a handful of files.

"The one far to the left is what we need." Peridot said.

Moving the light to the left Green opened the file. Once it opened itself a large label was brought up: THE CLUSTER. The label soon disappeared and in it's place came full-scale schematics of a large sphere-like object. The object in question looked metallic with various gray roots wrapped around it and small rods poking out from different angles. But if that wasn't scary enough, there was a single number directly underneath it. The number five.

"This is the Cluster." Peridot said. "A device created by Yellow herself. Once a planet reaches it's near colonization Yellow simply actives it, draining all of the life and resources from a planet before it implodes." She explained.

Everyone instantly turned their head to her with shocked expressions.

"What does implode mean?" Steven asked carefully.

"Will you allow me to show you?" Peridot replied.

Getting up from the chair Green moved away so Peridot could sit in it. Though it was against the rules since only elites could only be seated in chairs like this, technicians were also authorized to sit in them as well for repairing systems or check on data. Pulling up a file Peridot pulled up a holographic image of the Earth, but slowly it began to hollow out, creating gigantic holes within the landscapes until it became a large husk and fall apart.

"See. This is The Cause. This is what Home-World is trying to accomplish. It could've went well just like the other planets." Peridot stated proudly.

The others...silently stared at what they just witnessed. The Rainbows and the Crystals narrowed their eyes at this. This was the reason why they rebelled. This...is why Green Diamond made the choice to go against his own kind. As for Kameron, Steven, and Connie...words alone weren't enough to describe what they were seeing. Kameron's eyes narrowed as he slowly balled his fists while Steven and Connie held their hands together.

"You're wrong, Peridot." Green said firmly.

"Oh, really?" Peridot replied, crossing her arms.

"Yes, you are!" Garnet yelled. "These actions will cause massive devastation to all life on Earth."

"Sacrifices must me made." Peridot simply replied.

"No!" Pearl yelled. "No more! This planet will not fall victim like the others!"

Peridot narrowed her eyes at her, "*huff* You use to have the same beliefs just like your Diamond." She said, earning a gasp from Pearl. "I've read multiple reports on how you and White Diamond think alike. You showed great affection for her as she did to you, but because of the actions of Green, you've never returned to her, but instead chose to settle on this planet that will soon implode."

Pearl slowly began to shake. Her White Diamond... It's been ages since she last heard that name. And now...it's bringing back a lot of old memories. It is true, they did think alike, wanting perfection and makin sure everything went exactly as they planned, but now...that was in the past. A past that's coming back to her and everything she cares about.

"How long?" Pearl seethed through her teeth. "How long until the Earth implodes?"

"Five days." Peridot answered. "Since the Alpha, Beta, Gamma, and Delta Kindergartens have all been activated, the Cluster will begin it's purpose within five of your Earth days."

"What!?" Kameron said, turning around to lock his eyes on Peridot. "What the hell are you talking about?"

"You've prevented me from accessing the Alpha Kindergarten. However, since Beta, Gamma, and Delta have already been activated, Alpha had automatically activated within time." Peridot explained.

Gasps entered all around the area. So...even if they destroyed the Injectors and other important machinery from the Kindergartens, they still lost. And only five days remain until the planet's implosion...

Kameron quickly turned to his father, "Dad, can you locate the Cluster?"

Without a word Green went back into the chair to locate were the Cluster is located. Uncovering a file next to CLUSTER, Green managed to find out where the Cluster is...only...it wasn't so easy to look at.

"You've got to be kidding me!" Citrine yelled.

"Out of every place in the world..." Amber added.

"Great..." Pyrope seethed.

Destiny City. Home of the Rainbow Gems is where the Cluster is.

"To be fair, Yellow only planted the Cluster in the planet because of little faith she had in Pink Diamond. Although I'm sure you all don't need any reminders of that since she was killed by Rose Quartz." Peridot pointed out.

"It had to be done. There was no other choice." Pearl replied sternly. "Green Diamond and Rose Quartz found a better path. Even if it meant abandoning The Cause, life is worth protecting!"

"Then they both did a horrible job." Peridot said. "Leaving behind what we've accomplished for eons. Throwing it all away for a planet that's about to die? The Rainbow Gems and Crystal Gems never saved the planet from the very beginning. You've only delayed the inevitable. And for what? To create these...abominations?" She added.

Glares soon appeared on everyone's faces, pointed right onto Peridot. Right before she could make a move, Onyx snapped his fingers, creating a portal right beneath her. Watching her fall in the portal soon disappeared and a new one opened up from above, making Peridot fall onto the ground. Small grunts exited her mouth as she lifted her head, but as she did Garnet stepped in and grabbed her neck.

"Listen to me. Right now." Garnet seethed. "You are talking about subjects that you clearly don't have a full understanding of. Don't you dare talk about those boys like that."

"I'm...just...stating the facts." Peridot replied.

"Your facts are wrong, Peridot." Lapis said angerly.

"Dead wrong." Connie added. She then turned her eyes onto Green, "What should we do with her?"

"Garnet. release her." Green said.

Garnet turned her head to him. Without a word she released Peridot from her grasp. As she did a crystal tendril came out of his back and rapidly made it's way to Peridot, grabbing her neck and pulling her close to his face. "You are more useful to us alive. You will help us reach the Cluster and prevent it from imploding."

"Why...? There's...no...implications...that you will succeed in deactivating it." Peridot replied as Green tightened his grip.

"We will." Green said. "Are you able to download the coordinates of the Cluster?"

"T-That's...possible. It's...an old...system...but I'm sure...my Limb-enhancers can...add the coordinates into them." Peridot replied.

Green nodded as he turned his head to Bismuth. He then tossed Peridot over to her, making Bismuth restrain her in the blacksmith's arms. "For the time being Peridot is going to stay at the Universe Residence."

"What!?" Amethyst yelled. "Yo, you can't be serious, Green. There is no-way we're letting this brainiac bitch stay at our home. Especially after what she just said."

"I understand, Amethyst. However, we have to think about the bigger picture." Green replied. "Personally, I would just put her back into a bubble or shatter her, but she holds valuable information that cannot be ignored."

To be fair, Green had a point. Yes, Peridot just said some awful things and basically insulted her captors, but...she is still an important asset that they need in order to handle this newfound crisis. For the time being, she'll remain alive. What happens afterwards...is anyone's guess.

"Very well, Green." Pearl said. "Now let us leave. We've got what we came here for."

Holding onto Peridot tightly Bismuth went down first followed by everyone else, except for Kameron. Turning his head he locked his eyes on the planet, silently staring at it.

'Whatever it takes...' He thought to himself.

Took the words right out of my mouth - Z replied.

"Kameron?"

Turning his head back Kameron saw Lapis at the steps, "We're leaving."

"Right. I'm coming." He replied.

End Of Episode 52.

Oh...my...stars! This is the longest episode I've ever made in my entire life! I am so exhausted, but it was so worth it!

And so...Season 3 has come to an end. Hope you all are enjoying this so far. And for some that might wonder, am I making five seasons just like the amount from Canon. The answer: yes, I am.

Now I need to go and recharge my brain so I can prepare Season 4.

See you all soon.
