Episode 60: The Cluster Part 2
November 15th 7:15 p.m.
Deep, deep within the Earth itself the Rainbow Gems and Crystal Gems ran off toward the metallic facility. Each of them locked their eyes on the structure containing the one and only thing capable of eliminating all life from a planet: The Cluster. It was a little hard to believe such a location existed, though this wasn't the first Gem location to showcase strange architecture and it wouldn't be the last.
Thanks to Kameron's energy rings everyone's standard speeds had been doubled, allowing them to move quicker then they usually would. Still...despite this the clock continued to tick with every step taken. Time was always an enemy to the individual. Whether we had a large quantity of it or just a grain, time would always run out. We always ask for more of it or become consumed with anxiety when it's running out. This time...this time, would the amount the Guardians of Earth have be enough?
So... What do you think we're gonna face when we get there? - Z said.
'Not sure. I've already made a myriad of possibilities that might occur. Even if they don't happen, then I've got a plethora of backup assumptions.' Kameron replied in thought.
Wow... Look at you using your brain. - Z said smugly. You better give me an opportunity to sink my teeth into the unknown, Kameron. - He added.
'You will.' Kameron replied in thought. 'We're gonna need all the help we're gonna get. That includes you too, Z.'
Z paused from Kameron's response. If they were facing each other right now he would be blinking at his other-self. Small chuckles exited from Z, echoing within Kameron's mind.
Aww...you care about me. That's so adorable. For that, I'm glad to be apart of this and to be by your side, Kameron. Let's save the Earth together. - Z said sarcastically.
Kameron groaned from his other-self's attitude. Regardless, they were on the same page like everyone else was. To do whatever it takes, no matter the cost.
Reaching the moat near the facility the Guardians halted their movement at the sight of a large geyser erupting from the water. From the geyser a large number of Corrupted revealed themselves. A vibe of confusion expressed itself around the Guardians as they gazed at the creatures. Each of them were green and huge with large fins and hair covering their bodies. Green Gemstones were located on different aspects of their bodies while they remained in the air after rising from the water.
"Are those...Killer Whales?" Kameron said.
"Strangely, I do see the resemblances." Green replied.
Just when someone else attempted to speak the Corrupted opened their mouths, firing large beams of green energy. Green immediately stepped up and slammed his hands onto the ground. A large wall of crystal rose, taking the beams on impact. One by one the beams began to shrink while the wall began to illuminate a green glow. Soon the beams vanished right as Green stood up and striked the wall with both of his fists. Cracks instantly began to appear until the entire wall shattered into a multitude of shards. Rising from the ground each shard levitated in the air and aligned themselves vertically in front of Green. Pushing his hands forward each shard launched itself out. Shooting through the air each shard directed themselves toward the Corrupted and pierced themselves into them.
Cries of pain echoed from the creatures. Each of them squirmed in the air as if they were still within water. Wasting no more time Green summoned Guardian from his Gemstone and tightly gripped onto the hilt. Everyone stood back as he pulled his sword back and quickly swung it through the air, unleashing a massive slash of green energy at the Corrupted. Though the creatures squirmed they did not pay attention to the slash coming for them, slicing each of them in half.

With each creature poofed their Gemstones started to fall, aiming themselves toward the waters below. Green placed Guardian onto his back and swiftly ran. Keeping his eyes on the falling Gemstones he stopped at the edge of the moat and shot his hands out, unleashing a barrage of tendrils from his palms and arms. Each tendril stretched itself out as much as Green allowed right until they pierced themselves into the Gemstones. Cracks began to appear on the Gemstones right as they began to shatter, leaving their shards to descend into the waters below.
Green soon retracted his tendrils back into his body and turn his attention onto everyone else. "Onward. We mustn't waste any time to get to the Cluster."
Without giving them a chance to respond Green turned his attention back to the edge of the moat. Slamming his hands into the ground Green inserted his fingers into the ground. From the edge several crystal tendrils shot out at incredible speeds. On the other side the tendrils etched themselves into the ground and began spreading themselves apart until they touched one another, covering any gaping holes that remained.
Pulling his fingers out Green dashed onto his makeshift bridge with the others not far behind. Thankfully only minor cracks were made from each step taken on the bridge, though it wasn't enough to break it completely as they moved on. Reaching the other side and seeing everyone coming off Green snapped his fingers. From this action the bridge started to break apart and collapse into the water below. A mere percentage of Green's power; just a small amount.
Going up to the facility the Guardians reached up toward the main entrance. When they got there several gasps exited from their mouths. The area was very massive, but what caught everyone's attention was the amount of destruction that was around. On one side there were various machines with slash marks placed on them and parts of their bodies completely destroyed with absolutely no assurance of repairs. On the other side were slash marks on the walls, the floor, and broken parts of the ceiling scattered everywhere.
"What in tarnation happened here?" Amber said softly.
"That's a very good question, Amber." Peridot replied. "Was any of this recorded in The Rebellion book?"
Amber shook her head while everyone walked. There was no mentioning of them or the Crystals being down here before, let alone causing this much havoc. Which means...someone else was down here during the War, but the burning question to that was...who?
Traversing up to the center of the area a loud hiss entered the Guardians' ears. On cue everyone else (aside from Peridot and Connie) summoned their weapons from their Gemstones. Darting their eyes to every corner of the area everyone carefully watched for the source of the hissing. More hissing came out, making the Guardians place their backs against each other while they rapidly continued searching.
"W-What was that?" Peridot whimpered.
Amber soon lifted her head up at the opened ceiling and...the moment she did so her eyes started to dilate. Standing near the open ceiling there was a large yellow Corrupted with big yellow eyes, six long lanky bladed arms, six long lanky legs, yellow Gemstones on it's body, and sparks of electricity surging around it.
"Everyone look up!" Amber called out.
Raising their heads the others locked their eyes on the Corrupted up above. Once all eyes were on it the Corrupted hissed once more and leaped down toward them. The Guardians quickly scattered themselves away from the center of the area just before the creature landed. As it did it released more hisses wile spreading out it's arms.
Bringing up Erron and Jonah Amber fired at the creature. Each bullet fired displayed no effect on it, making the Corrupted turn it's attention onto her. Moving forward the creature lifted it's left arms and slashed it's blades. Seeing them come Amber quickly pushed herself back and dashed ahead. Raising up it's right arms the Corrupted slashed at her once more. Pushing herself she managed to bypass the blades and lower her body down until she was sliding under it. Pulling her trigger fingers she aimed at the backside and legs, but once she was complete behind it her bolts showed no effect again.
"Everyone!" Amber called out. "Imma gonna be takin' care of this thing while ya'll get going!"
"What!?" Steven replied. "Amber, no! We can leave you-"
"This ain't the time fer arguing, Steven!" Amber yelled, cutting him off. She then turned her eyes onto her father, "Pa, Ah got this. Ya'll get ta where the Cluster is and shut it down."
Green hesitated to answer, but he gave her a solemn nod. She was more than capable of taking care of herself.
"Very well. We will leave this to you, Amber." Green replied. "Everyone! Let us get going!"
As much as some wanted to argue, there literally was no time for that. The others looked at Amber and made their way off.
The Corrupted opened it's mouth and fired a large blast of electricity. Dismissing her guns Amber jumped out of the way, rolling through the floor and swiftly getting back up. Glaring at the creature she soon raised up her left hand to look at her energy ring, given to her by her brother Kameron. Though she was still glaring, her lips stretched into a smirk. Putting her hand down she gripped both of her hands as her eyes and Gemstone started glowing. Sparks of electricity began to surge all over her body while her hair began to break out of her ponytail and flow wildly.
The Corrupted merely stared at her and her current state. But as the electricity surged and grew around her the creature's body was starting to tremble. It soon turned it's head at the direction where everyone else went and took a step there.
"NO!" Amber screamed, startling it. "Ya ain't going anywhere! Ya ain't gonna hurt mah family! Ya fight is with me!"
Shifting it's head back at Amber the creature let out a loud hiss and fired off another blast of electricity. Watching it come to her Amber took off her hat and absorbed it into her Gemstone. With her hat now secured she rapidly dodged out of the way and rushed her way on. Making her way passed the blast she locked onto her target. Coming in close she leaped into the air and pulled her arm back. She then shot it forward, aiming it right onto it's head. On contact her attack made the Corrupted jerk it's head while she flipped herself over it's body.
Landing on it's back Amber held onto it, gripping her fingers into the creature's body. Hisses exited it as it stumbled onto the center of the area. Locking it's legs on the creature lifted it's head, unleashing a loud screech. As it did this it's entire body discharged a large quantity of energy, shooting out high voltage blasts in every direction.
Shortly after the creature lowered it's head, letting out a sigh. It did it. That attack should've been enough to finish Amber off for good. Oh...if only it was that simple.
Removing her hands Amber bent her legs and jumped high into the air. Lightning circled itself around her as she started to fall while tilting her body forward. Pulling her arm back again she balled it into a fist, covering it with electricity as she was getting closer and closer to her endgame.
"HEY BUG!" She screamed.
Hearing her voice the Corrupted turned it's gaze up, only to see Amber coming right up to it. Just before it could conduct any actions Amber shot out her fist, directing right onto the Corrupted's Gemstone. Her fist soon made contact with the Gemstone, sending out a huge chunk of energy straight into it.
A large wail exited the Corrupted. Cracks began to spread out onto the Gemstone until it ultimately broke apart.
POOF!
Watching the Corrupted poof Amber flipped herself over, land back on the ground. Picking herself up she spotted the shards of the Gemstone she shattered alongside several other Gemstones with it. Summoning out her hat she placed it back on and brought out a scrunchie to put her hair back into a ponytail. Walking over to the shards she picked them up and the other Gemstones before putting them into her own Gemstone.
Running through a large hallway the Guardians were soon coming up to a large hole in the floor. With no knowledge on where to go it was basically impossible to tell how the Guardians were gonna find the Cluster. Taking a chance everyone jumped into the hole below.
Onto the lower level the Guardians arrived at an area filled with water. The ground was barely deep with flows of water bursting out from the walls.
From behind they saw another hallway, however just when they approached it loud splashes of water entered their ears. Turning around two Corrupted entered in. One was blue and big with two sets of wings, a long beak with sharp teeth, covered in blue feathers, and large talons. The other was red and massive with two large horns on it's head, standing on all fours hooves, and having two long tails emitting fire at their ends.
"Yo, Azurite." Pyrope said while tightening his grip on his axes. "Let's tag-team these things."
Shifting her attention from the Corrupted and Pyrope, Azurite nodded and narrowed her eyes while summoning her wings.
"Father. You and the others resume the search for the Cluster. Me and Pyrope shall handle this." Azurite said.
"I'll stay and help." Lapis replied strongly.
"No." Azurite said, turning her head to her. "You must go with the others."
"But-" Lapis replied.
"Get going, Lazuli!" Pyrope yelled. "Stop wasting time and get your asses moving! You want the planet to die?"
Lapis was taken back by Pyrope words. She soon glared at him and opened her mouth to retort before a familiar sensation entered her hand. Her eyes looked down to see a hand in hers, making her look up to see Kameron's face. He shook his head to her without muttering a single word.
Looking into his eyes she could already understand what he was saying to her. Lapis turned to Azurite and gave her a quick nod. Though she wanted to stay by Azurite's side and help her, there were other matters that needed her attention more.
With this conformation everyone else left, leaving the Water Dove and the Fire dove to handle the Corrupted.
Scrapping the water-filled floor the Red Corrupted snarled and charged itself straight into Pyrope. Seeing it come Pyrope glared at it straight away and ran. Putting up his axes he striked them right onto the horns of the beast. On impact Pyrope managed to still himself and put his face near the beast's. Both gave each other harsh glares and snorted at one another. The more they glared the more heat they emitted, causing the water below them to boil.
Taking flight Azurite twirled her staff as the Blue Corrupted ascended into the air. Letting out a screech the Blue Corrupted soared through the air, making it's way to Azurite and opening it's mouth to fire off a barrage of ice shards. Coming to her Azurite twirled her staff, breaking each shard that was coming to her. Halting her twirls she burst through the air and came up to the Blue Corrupted until she thrusted her staff against it's chest. The Blue Corrupted gawked at her attack, but just when it attempted a counter-attack Azurite pushed herself back and spun her body, shifting her staff until it impacted the creature's face.
Backing away from the Red Corrupted Pyrope watched it open it's mouth, unleashing a huge burst of flames. Opening is own Pyrope fired off a burst of flames of his own. Coming into contact both attacks came into an impasse. Snarls continuously exited from each other as their attacks pushed from one side to the other. The water below them boiled at a rapid pace, causing endless steam to erupt and evaporate it.
Soon both attacks from Pyrope and the Red Corrupted deceased, cancelling themselves out. Letting out a long breath Pyrope released a loud growl and ran at the beast. The Red Corrupted followed suit, charging it's way up to Pyrope while lowering it's head to aim it's horns at him. Coming in close Pyrope twisted his body and threw his axes. Seeing them come the Red Corrupted quickly dodged the up coming projectiles, but as it did Pyrope increased his speed and punch the creature's face. Stunning the Red Corrupted Pyrope lowered his left arm and slowly brought it up to it's chin, hitting it hard.
Summoning out his chained blades Pyrope lowered them to his knees while making his way up to the Red Corrupted. Coming in close he swung the chain and threw it at the creature. The chain wrapped itself around it right when Pyrope pulled it down and shoved the other blade into the creature's mouth. His glare remained on his face as he shoved the blade through it's head further.
POOF!
The Blue Corrupted ascended even higher than Azurite and flapped it's wings, send out a barrage of ice covered feathers. Maneuvering herself through the feathers Azurite summoned up her staff as she came in close with the creature and slammed it right onto it's head. Stunning the creature Azurite twirled her staff again, bring it up and pushing it down onto the creature's left wings. It screeched at the impact and soon found itself hurling it's way toward the ground.
Coming up to it Azurite placed her feet down and dismissed her wings. Thrusting her staff she covered it's front with ice, piercing it straight into the Blue Corrupted head. Loud screeches exited the creature as it lifted it's wings to get away from her, but it was already too late. It's wings slowly fell onto the ground right when it's body started to glow.
POOF!
Watching the Blue Corrupted's Gems fall Azurite dismissed her staffed and picked them up before putting them into her chest Gemstone. She then turned her head to her brother, seeing him put the Red Corrupted Gemstones into his own.
"Are you alright, brother?" Azurite asked as she approached him.
Pyrope let out a long sigh, dissolving his glare as he looked at his sister. "I'll be alright when this is all over." He then raised his hand to look at his energy ring, "Gotta say. This baby makes me very energized."
Azurite chuckled a little as she raised up her hand to look at her own ring. "Indeed. It's to show how cautious Kameron is and how much he wants us to survive this ordeal."
"I can't argue with that. C'mon, let go before we lose track of the others." Pyrope said.
Azurite nodded as they made their way out. Once they left Amber quickly caught a glimpse of them and quickly followed after.
Traversing further into the unknown the Guardians reached a corner and swiftly turned to it. Further down they came into contact with yet another massive hole, only this time there were several more just below it.
"How deep is that?" Bismuth asked around.
"Looks pretty deep." Citrine replied. "Anyone care to hold onto the Orange Goliath?"
On cue Charoite and Lepidolite walked up to their brother as he picked them up and placed them onto his shoulders. Pearl and Amethyst took glances at Bismuth and without a response she gladly picked them up and placed them on her shoulders. Green and Onyx jumped onto Citrine's back and wrapped their arms around his neck. Garnet took Steven and Connie under her arms while Lapis stood behind Kameron and wrapped her arms around his waist. Peridot didn't pair with anyone at first due to the functionality of her Limb-enhancers, but she quickly walked over to Bismuth and jumped on her, wrapping her arms around the builder's neck.
"Everyone good to go?" Citrine asked.
"We're good to go, big guy." Bismuth replied while everyone else nodded.
With that conformation Citrine, Bismuth, and Garnet bent their knees and leaped into the hole. Kameron and Lapis soon followed suit; jumping into the hole.
Hole after hole after hole the Guardians fell, keeping their eyes focused down below.
Coming up they saw a solid platform and landed right on it. Making contact with the platforms the heavy hitters slammed their feet in, making large cracks on the surface. They each remained still, locking their eyes down to make sure their landing wouldn't cause a chain reaction. A few seconds passed...and to their relief nothing happened.
Kameron and Lapis soon caught up with them and landed on the platform. With everything seemingly okay the heavy hitters let everyone off of them.
Without any warning a large orange tentacle burst out from the platform with many more coming up after. In seconds the tentacles stretched out and grabbed onto anyone in close range of them.
Bringing his hammer up Citrine swung it at the nearest tentacle. His hammer's spikes pierced into it, ripping it right off and freeing his father. With him safe Citrine charged at a pair of tentacles and repeated the process.
Seeing his actions Bismuth shifted her right arm into a blade and sliced through a group of tentacles. Looking up to see Pearl getting squeezed she glared at the tentacle and roared before jumping into the air and slashing at it. Catching Pearl she placed her down and rushed onto the remaining tentacles, hacking and slicing them without a care in the world.
Citrine hammered onto the last tentacle, catching his sister Lepidolite into his arm. In response to this his sister turned her head and kissed his cheek, earning a goofy grin from him while he placed her down.
"What the hell was that?" Kameron said.
"It's coming from under us." Citrine replied. He then turned to look at everyone, "You all get going. Me and Bismuth are gonna handle this."
"You took the words right out of my mouth, big guy." Bismuth replied while turning her hands into mallets.
Putting their hammer and mallets up Citrine and Bismuth slammed them right into the fragile platform. From sheer brute force they soon cracked into it, opening up a large hole and forcing them to fall into it.
The duo crashed down onto the floor below them and quickly found the source of the tentacles. On the other side of the room there was a large Orange Corrupted with two large heads, sharp spikes all over it's main body, and more tentacles waving in the air.
Upon seeing the duo the Orange Corrupted growled and thrusted two tentacles at them. Seeing them come the duo quickly moved out of the way, making the tentacles strike the wall behind them.
Turning her head around Bismuth saw the others were still above them. "What are you all waiting for!? GO!"
Pearl gave her an unsure expression. It wasn't that long since she'd have Bismuth return to them. Leaving her alone again... Pearl soon shook her head. 'No! This isn't like before.' She thought to herself and gave the builder a nod.
Watching the others go Bismuth walked up to Citrine while keeping her attention onto the Orange Corrupted. They both took a glance at each other and smirked. Leaning forward they started charging at the creature, unleashing a fierce battle cry.
Watching them come to it the Orange thrusted more tentacles at them. Bringing up his hammer Citrine swung it vertically, breaking off the tentacles right when Bismuth sliced up the rest. They quickly resumed their charge at the creature and were then brought straight into it's face. Going into the air the duo landed right onto the head of the Orange Corrupted and slammed their weapons right onto it.
Shrieks exited the creature while it's tentacles violently waved themselves in the air. Gritting their teeth the duo added more pressure into their weapons, making it shriek even louder.
POOF!
In no time the Orange Corrupted poofed. Coming down to the solid platform the duo spotted it's Gemstones and gathered them into their hands. Putting them close to their own Gemstones they absorbed them in and leaped back up to the upper floor.
"That wasn't so tough." Bismuth said while rolling her arms.
"Their ain't a Corrupted either of us can't be. Ya just need a little muscle." Citrine replied while flexing his arm.
Bismuth giggled at him, giving him a small shove as they made their way out.
Soon the light around the Guardians began to dim with each step they took. As their vision was beginning to fade the Guardians (except Connie) illuminated their Gemstones, giving them more of a clearer view on where they were going.
"Peridot. Can't you bring up a map to help us find the Cluster?" Lapis asked.
The technician turned her head to the water angel, "If I could I would've done so before we entered this place. I have no knowledge of this location nor does my database have any records of it. So no, Lazuli, I cannot bring up a map to guide us."
Lapis huffed and turned her sight back on the path. To think that she thought Peridot would've had something to help them deal with the Geo-Weapon, but unfortunately it was not possible.
"Whether we have a map or not, we're still gonna find the Cluster." Connie said. "Though I am concerned on how many Corrupted-"
Connie immediately stopped running. Her pupils began to dilate while she placed a hand on her neck. Small breaths left her mouth as she slowly clenched onto her neck.
The others quickly stopped in their tracks while Steven rushed up to his friend.
"Connie, what's wrong?" Steven asked worriedly.
More small breaths left her mouth as she looked up at Steven. She opened her mouth to speak, but as soon as she did her eyes closed shut.
Steven turned to the others with a concerned expression. They quickly approached them right as Charoite's visible eye widened. Raising her hands out her Gemstone brought out three spheres of light. They quickly dimmed and faded away to reveal three oxygen masks with disk-like air cartridges attached to them.
"Kameron. Steven. Here." Charoite said as she tossed two oxygen masks to the boys.
They placed them on while Charoite approached Connie and gave her the last oxygen mask. Taking it she placed it on. Once she did the mask immediately locked itself onto her face with the air cartridges circling into it inwards.
"Now take slow heavy breaths." Charoite asked as she kneeled and placed her hands on Connie's shoulders.
Closing her eyes Connie sucked in some cold air and slowly exhaled it out. In and out. In and out. In and out. She slowly reopened her eyes and placed a hand on her chest.
"Feeling better?" Charoite asked.
Connie nodded, "Yeah, my breathing is back to normal." She turned her head to Steven and Kameron, "Are you two okay?"
Steven nodded, "I'm okay."
"Same." Kameron added.
Lifting herself up Charoite placed a hand on her head. She should've expected this to happen. No, neither her nor the others had given this any thought considering they were too focused on the development of the drill. Still, it was a good thing she knew what was going on when looking at Connie.
"Charoite." Pearl said, gaining her attention. "How many cartridges do you have remaining?"
Charoite gave it some thought right as her pupil dilated. She gulped and put up her hand while showing Pearl four fingers. This response made everyone look at the kids, realizing the secondary time limit tat was now live.
"Right. Right, okay. Let's get going before anyone starts having negative thoughts." Lepidolite suggested.
Just before anyone was given the chance to give her a response a loud snarl entered their ears. Turning their heads toward it's direction a large Pink blur came rushing it and immediately grabbed Steven.
"Steven!" Connie, Pearl, Garnet, and Amethyst yelled in unison.
Without giving it a thought they quickly ran after it, leaving the others behind.
The rest followed suit, but right when they took a mere step a loud hiss echoed through the area, making them stop in place.
"What was that?" Peridot questioned frantically.
Looking up everyone saw a small Indigo Corrupted rapidly fall from above. It showcased several tentacles on it's lower body and various eyes moving around in multiple directions. In an instant the Indigo Corrupted threw it's tentacles out and latched themselves right onto Kameron. From behind his arms and knees were quickly restrained before the creature placed itself onto his back.
Letting out a gasp Kameron tumbled forward and indigo veins started creeping through his skin. Lowering his head he turned around to face the others. Pulling his head up his eyes began to glow indigo. Summoning Venganza into the air he quickly dashed at Charoite and slashed her, but the blade merely went right through her without causing any damage. Again and again he continued slashing at her, causing absolutely no effect on her.
"Kameron, this isn't you. Fight it!" Charoite yelled.
Groans exited Kameron. Turning his head he gazed at the others and rushed to them. Dragging Venganza on the floor he brought her up and slashed her right onto Lapis. Watching the blade come to her Lapis pushed herself away and summoned her wings. Her fists tightened at seeing Kameron in the state he was in, but she quickly focused herself on returning him to normal.
Charoite charged her way to her brother, bringing up her kunai and thrusting her arm at the Indigo Corrupted. A hiss left the creature, making it turn Kameron around to face her. Upon seeing this Charoite phased through him until she got behind him.
"Everyone. We need to get that thing off of Kameron. But we can't hurt him." Charoite called out.
"Got it." Lepidolite replied as she threw a fan at Kameron.
Watching it come to him he swung his sword, deflecting it and making his way up to her. Seeing him come Lepidolite dismissed her other fan and gripped her hands. Although this tactic was something she would never ever do on anyone purposefully, desperate times call for desperate measures. She closed her eyes and slowly opened her mouth.
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!
A sonic wail blasted right out of Lepidolite, aiming itself right onto Kameron. The others quickly covered their ears at the sheer sound-piercing voice while witnessing it on Kameron. On contact the Indigo Corrupted and Kameron shrieked at the sound-waves coming to them. Kameron dropped his blade and covered his ears. His eyes were shut tight and he continued shrieking with every passing moment. The Indigo Corrupted started shaking it's body rapidly, twitching itself with it's eyes circling in their scleras until it removed itself from Kameron's back.
Seeing the creature hit the ground Lepidolite halted her screams while Charoite went up to it and stabbed her kunai right into one of it's Gemstones. Another shriek exited the Indigo Corrupted right until it's Gemstone broke apart and began to glow. Little by little it's body faded away, leaving nothing behind but it's remaining Gemstones.
Picking them up Charoite placed them into her own Gemstone. She then looked on to see Kameron fall to his knees and collapse. Coming up to him she turned him onto his back, noticing the indigo veins disappearing from his skin. His eyes reverted to normal right when he slowly closed them.
The others approached them, sitting Kameron up and shaking him a bit. His eyes struggled to open, but they slowly did right as his vision was clearing up. Blinking his eyes he saw concerned expressions on everyone but Onyx.
"What happened?" Kameron asked.
"You got brainwashed by a Corrupted." Charoite replied, helping him up to his feet.
Kameron's eyes widened at Charoite's answer. He then looked at Lapis who was holding his sword and held it out to him. Without giving her a response he grabbed Venganza's hilt and placed her on his back, but when he did he hissed at his blade making contact with his body.
"You'll be okay, Kameron. But we need to get going. A Pink Corrupted snatched Steven." Lepidolite addressed.
With their eyes locked onto the Pink Corrupted the remaining Crystals ran as fast as they could to keep up with it.
Bringing up her spear, Pearl threw it at her target. The spear flew it's way into the air at high speeds and soon impacted the Pink Corrupted, piercing right into it's body.
POOF!
The Pink Corrupted poofed from the attack and released Steven from it's grasp. His body hit the floor and made him roll from the momentum right onto an upcoming edge. He soon fell off of the edge, making his body roll at an accelerated rate.
"Steven!" Everyone yelled.
Going up to the edge the others jumped off of it and descended onto a ginormous area. On the other side there was a big gaping hole with rainbow lights oozing out of it. Though important, the Crystals saw a large horde of Pink Corrupted gathered at the center of the area. But while that in it of itself was terrifying to see, their main concern was Steven, who was at the bottom of the area near broken machinery.
Steven mumbled to himself as he got up from the ground. Placing a hand on his head he slowly rubbed it and saw the horde near him. His name was called again, making him turn around to see the others coming to him. When they did Connie embraced him with one arm followed by everyone else tackling him to the ground. His lips stretched into a smile, accepting the love given to him.
Getting up the Crystals directed their attention onto the horde. Narrowing their eyes they up to them. Getting a better look the Crystals saw many, many Pink Corrupted with pink fur covering their bodies, sharp claws, and razor-teeth.
Summoning his shield Steven stood in front of everyone as soon as the Pink Corrupted noticed them. Growls and snarls left them right as started crawling up to the Crystals. Spreading themselves apart the Pink Corrupted leaped into the air and rolled themselves into balls of fluff before aiming themselves at their prey.
Putting up his shield Steven's eyes started glowing pink and his shield started to enlarge itself. Watching the Pink Corrupted come up to them they each impacted the shield and were harshly pushed away from the Crystals, crashing into the ground.
Steven soon dismissed his large shield just before the others stood at his side. Garnet dashed at the Pink Corrupted, pulling her fist back and sending it right into a Pink Corrupted.
POOF!
From just punch Garnet poofed her target and grabbed it's Gemstone.
Amethyst leaped into the air and rolled herself into a ball before hitting a Pink Corrupted.
POOF!
Poofing her first target Amethyst launched her whip at another Pink Corrupted, wrapping it's throat in her weapon and pulling it toward herself. Seeing it coming in she jumped up and with both hands she slammed the creature onto a nearby Pink Corrupted.
POOF!
POOF!
Twirling her spear Pearl jogged up to a Pink Corrupted who was about to slash her. Ducking her body she thrusted her spear into it's body.
POOF!
Grabbing the falling Gemstone Pearl ran toward a trio of Pink Corrupted. Without giving them a chance to react Pearl thrusted her spear into one of them, twirled her body while summoning another spear and slashing at second, then raising her leg to kick the third's chin and pierce into it's body while it was stunned.
POOF!
POOF!
POOF!
Running side by side Steven and Connie came up against five Pink Corrupted. Connie pulled her sword back and slashed the first.
POOF!
The second roared and brought it's claws right onto Connie. Just when they were going to make contact she spun around to revealed Steven behind her, raising his shield and deflecting the attack. He then hurled his shield at it, making it slice through it's body.
POOF!
Summoning another shield Steven turned to look at Connie. Though a bit risky they nodded at one another and directed their gaze at the three remaining Pink Corrupted. Putting their hands into one another they went back to back and closed their eyes. A pink glow engulfed the both of them and from the light Stevonnie had entered the battle with sword and shield in hand. Charging at the Pink Corrupted the creatures rolled themselves into balled and propelled themselves forward. Stevonnie glared at them and stopped in their tracks. Pushing their shield out they quickly enlarged it right when the Pink Corrupted made contact.
A few grunts left their mouth while they stood her ground. Gritting their teeth they began to scream as their eyes started to glow pink. Bending their knees they dug their front foot into the ground, causing a crack to erupt below them and push the Pink Corrupted back. With sheer force they watched the creatures get airborne and decided to join them. Shrinking their shield Stevonnie jumped to them and swung their sword as fast and swiftly at them.
POOF!
POOF!
POOF!
Landing back on the ground Stevonnie quickly de-fused, bringing Steven and Connie back. They each gathered up each Gemstone and placed them into bubbles before giving them a soft tap, sending them away.
Coming together the Crystals soon heard a howl in the air. Looking around they soon turned to the gaping hole and witnessed two Corrupted coming out of it. One was another Pink Corrupted, only this one showed a scaly body with long pink hair ending at it's waist, sharp teeth, and horns. The other was a Black Corrupted with large black-feathered wings, claws, horns, and a long sharp-pointed tail.
"Will this ever end?" Pearl said, raising her spear.
"Pfft. Please, What's two more gonna change?" Amethyst replied.
"Let's get this over with." Garnet informed.
Taking their stances the Crystals charged at the beasts. The Pink Corrupted stepped forward and opened it's mouth.
RRRRRRRRRRRRROOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!
A large sonic scream ruptured out of the Pink Corrupted. Coming up to the Crystals they were soon dropped to their knees, covering their ears at the wailing. Soon after they were each blown away from the force of the scream, crashing into the ground.
The Black Corrupted took flight and summoned a black portal above it before going in. The portal soon disappeared and another black portal appeared right behind the Crystals. Soaring out of the Black Corrupted swooped in and grabbed Connie, taking her into the air.
"Connie!" Steven cried.
Steven and the others got up and attempted to reach Connie, but the Pink Corrupted stood in their way and opened it's mouth again. But...right when it did a large black portal erupted right next to it, making it halt it's attack to see a pink fan coming right to it's face.
With little time to react the fan slashed at the Pink Corrupted's upper jaw. Howls of pain roared from the creature as it back away from the portal.
Coming out of it was Lepidolite who somersaulted her way to the beast and pushed herself into the air, flipping her body several times until she came up to the Pink Corrupted's head and stabbed it two fans. She then locked her legs around it's neck while it was violently moving it's head, but that made push her fans into it even more.
POOF!
Destroying it's physically form Lepidolite was then sent up high, but she quickly flipped her body and landed on the ground without any trouble. She turned her eyes onto the Black Corrupted and made her way to it. Seeing her come to it the creature opened a portal behind it while tightening it's grip on Connie. But...when it turned around to approach it Onyx came right out of it and slashed it's arm that held Connie.
Falling down Connie began to yell, however Lepidolite soon stopped right above Connie and started spinning. On her tippy-toes the Pink Hurricane began unleashing large disastrous winds, creating a tornado. Connie entered inside the whirling force of nature, but she began to get lowered very slowly. Inch by inch she continued to fall very slowly right until the tornado began to vanish. With it gone Connie began to fall at a normal pace until she was caught in Lepidolite's arms.
"Lepidolite." Connie said before embracing her. "Thank you. Thank you, thank you, thank you."
"You're welcome Connie. I'm so happy you're safe." Lepidolite replied softly.
Putting Connie down Lepidolite watched the Crystals coming up to them. Steven instantly hugged his friend, making her return his affection. They soon pulled away when Onyx, Charoite, Kameron, Lapis, Green, and Peridot came out of a large black portal.
"Are you all okay?" Kameron asked.
Connie nodded, "Yeah. We're okay."
"Everyone!"
Turning their heads everyone looked up to see Amber, Azurite, Pyrope, Citrine, and Bismuth up top. They each hopped off of the edge and joined up with them, making the Guardians complete again.
With the Pink and Black Corrupted defeated the Guardians placed their attention at the gaping hole. What lies beyond it they couldn't completely tell, but the one thing everyone was certain on was that their objective was in their. It had to be.
November 15th 11:50 p.m.
Inside the gaping hole the Guardians were silent. Within it's confines they found themselves in an enormous area. Just below the rocky terrain was molten lava, letting out streams of steam and bubbles that popped by the second. Straight ahead...without even the need to think it, they had found what they were looking for. Sitting in the area and surrounded by lava, there was a gigantic sphere covered in metal. It's entire body showed a myriad of nuts and bolts. At it's center there was a strange sphere-like object spinning rapidly.
"The Cluster..." Everyone said in unison.
On sight the Cluster was radiating the rainbow light, although looking at it now the light was shifting from getting dim to getting bright. It didn't take long for the Guardians to figure out why it was doing that.
Jumping from the edge they were standing on the Guardians made their way to the Geo-Weapon. Through the very heat of the lava Kameron, Steven, and Connie started sweating by the second, making them wipe their foreheads while they ran. Everyone else were just fine without a single sweat-drop coming off of them. One of the many benefits Gems had that neither Kameron nor Steven inherited from their Gem parent.
Reaching the Geo-Weapon the Guardians locked their eyes at it's very structure. It's bad enough that Home-World uses these things to kill planets, but it's sheer size really puzzled the kids into wondering how Home-World manages to fit Geo-Weapons into the planet in the first place.
"Okay. Okay, okay, okay." Peridot said frantically. "We are now officially here seeing the very thing that will kill all life from the planet. Going against everything we worked so hard to accomplish. Going against everything we were trying to protect. All for this one planet."
"If you're planning on having second thoughts, Peridot, it's already too late for that." Green replied. He then stepped up to direct his attention on the object at the center. "What happens when that object is removed?"
Peridot planted her eyes on the object Green was referring. Her eyes widened as her pupils turned to diamonds. "That's the Power Cell. That powers the entire machine. If it were to be removed then..."
Everyone else turned to Peridot then the Cluster.
"Wait, really? That's it? That's all we gotta do?" Pyrope asked.
Peridot nodded.
With that conformation Kameron stepped up and launched both of his hands out. An array of crystal tendrils burst right out of his palms, heading straight to the Power Cell. Locking themselves into it Kameron reeled his arms, but the object did not budge out at all. Giving his arms more tugs the Power Cell refused to move away from it's chamber.
Coming up to Kameron's side, Green launched his own barrage of tendrils. After each one interlocked onto the Power Cell Green began giving them hard pulls, but with the effort him and Kameron were giving off, their attempt resulted in no success.
"This isn't working." Kameron said as he and his father retracted their tendrils.
"Impossible!" Peridot yelled. "That's suppose to be apart of it's design! The Power Cell isn't suppose to be interlocked into the Cluster unless..."
At that moment Peridot's eyes shot open. Her pupils began to dilate as she stared at the Geo-Weapon. Her knees began to wobble violently until she ultimately dropped them on the terrain.
"Unless what!?" Steven asked.
Peridot gave him no response.
"PERIDOT! UNLESS WHAT!?" Pearl screamed furiously.
No response was given yet again from the technician.
Lapis balled her hands into fists as she glared at Peridot. This was no time to keep important information from them and here she was doing that when the situation itself was already dire. Going up to the technician Lapis raised her hand out and threw it right into Peridot's cheek. The action itself caught the attention of the others, leaving them shocked at Lapis' actions.
"THIS ISN'T THE TIME TO BE KEEPING THINGS FROM US, PERIDOT! WHY CAN'T WE REMOVE THE POWER CELL!?" Lapis yelled.
Coming to her sense Peridot turned her head to see Lapis' glare. She then opened her mouth, "Because if the first Power Cell is removed a second one is brought in to take it's place. Once it's done that there is no way to remove it from the machine."
...
...
...
...
...
All eyes turned to Peridot. To say everyone gave her shocked expressions would be an understatement. They each looked at her with confusion, bewilderment, and utter despair.
Two Power Cells... The Cluster operated on two Power Cells to function. The burning question at this was very moment that everyone wanted to know...what who removed the first Power Cell to begin with. There were no records of this in the Rebellion Book. The Cluster was never documented in due to Green never learning the very aspects of it. Neither any of the Rainbows or the Crystals knew of it's existence beforehand. Who could've known about the Cluster and didn't inform anyone about it?
Gathering their thoughts everyone's eyes soon widened. The answer... The answer came in as everyone turned their attention onto Steven. Steven himself looked down and pulled up his shirt, showing everyone his Gemstone.
Before anyone could utter a single word the Cluster's flashing lights started to halt. A violent rumble began to overtake the area, making the Guardians tumble in place and collapse on their knees. A huge flash of white light shot out of the Cluster, making the Guardians block their vision from it's radiance. The Cluster's light slowly dimmed, allowing the Guardians to open their eyes and stand up. Once the light dimmed completely, the next stage was about to commence.
Portions of the Cluster began come off and slide down until they reached the very bottom of the machine. At the top a large opening was made and from that opening a long lanky white arm came out. Then another lanky arm followed right after that, then another, and another, and another, and another, and another. All six arms bent down, placing themselves onto the metal of the machine before pushing themselves into it. From those six arms a large white body rose up. The body was completely white with a variety of colors illuminating around it. Above the body was a huge rectangular head with large eyes on it's sides and a ginormous eye at the center. Below the eyes was a large mandible with sharp fangs.
RRRRRRRRRROOOOOOOOOOAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!
Words couldn't even describe what the Guardians were even looking at.
"That's... T-T-That's..." Pearl stuttered.
"That's the Cluster." Peridot finished.
Lowering it's head The Cluster looked down to see the Guardians and their expressions of despair. It began to lower it's mandible as a sphere of energy was beginning to form. The sphere got bigger and bigger by the passing second until it pulled it's head back and unleashed a large blast of energy.
Watching it come to them Kameron and his father pierced the terrain below them, summoning huge crystals that began to circle around them and the others. Watching the beam coming right at them Steven summoned a large bubble, engulfing himself and the others within it. Though as much as he wanted to put Kameron and in they were putting up their defenses too, in which he understood too well, but filled his heart with concern and fear.
Heading right toward them the Cluster's beam impacted the barrier. Grunts exited Kameron and Green as they continuously added more layers to the barrier, but each one they made shattered in an instant. The beam kept breaking through each layer until...the entire barrier broke apart, greatly pushing the Guardians away and forcing Steven to undo his bubble. They all crashed into the terrain and rolled back until they reached a wall from behind.
Grunts and groans were all they came out of the Guardians as they slowly picked themselves up. That attack... From just one blast from the Cluster was enough to crush their defenses. If that's what it's truly capable of, then it's no wonder other planets were colonized.
Kameron turned his head to the others and placed it back on the Cluster. Heavy breaths began to exit his mouth while his chest moved up and down. Though, the attack was enough to determine exactly what they were dealing with. Just looking at the creature was enough for him to understand how dire the situation really was.
'Z. It's time.' Kameron said in thought.
Finally. - Z replied.
'Are you thinking what I'm thinking?' Kameron asked.
Z hummed for a moment and gave his answer, Oh yeah. It doesn't take a genius to figure this out. Although the outcome won't end in our favor.
'If it means everyone else survives and gains a future, then so be it.' Kameron said in thought. 'Let's give it everything we got.'
Took the words right out of my mouth, Kam. - Z replied.
Closing his eyes Kameron's Gemstone began to glow, catching everyone's attention. His skin soon turned green right as his Gemstone's glow faded. Turning to the others Z's lips started to stretch into a wicked grin.
"Listen up everyone! Me and my other self have a plan before the planet goes ka-boom." Z said. "As of this moment we're ignoring any of your opinions on said plan. Any arguments will be denied. Any objections will be declined. If any of you have a problem with it then too bad."
The others looked him with confusion. Exactly what kind of plan does he have in mind?
Z's hands soon began to get crystallized. "I'm getting really, really thirsty. My drink is just right behind me and I need Alexandrite and the rest of you to keep it still until I've quenched my thirst. Got it?"
It took a few seconds for the others to understand what he was saying. All eyes were placed on him and various expressions were displayed from each of the Guardians.
"That's...that's suicide." Green said. "You are not going to engage in something so reckless."
"Yes we are, old man. Besides, this drink is too much for you in one gulp." Z replied with a shrug.
"No!" Lapis yelled. She marched straight up to Z and grabbed his shirt, pulling him close to her face. "I won't let you do that! There has to be another way!"
Z raised up his hand and pulled off his oxygen mask. Once it was off he jerked his head forward, planting his lips onto Lapis'. Her eyes shot themselves open as a muffled gasp left her. Her cheeks burned at Z's actions, making her grip on his shirt weaken. Her eyes started to close while she returned the kiss. Soon their lips separated and their eyes opened.
"Lapis." Z said softly. "I'm not Kameron. The name's Z, but this kiss is from me and Kameron. This really isn't the best time for this, but we've got a lot going on in our heads about this "thing" between us. But...when we survive this we'll take you on a date. It's the least we can do."
Lapis blinked at him, "What's a date?"
Z chuckled at her response, "You'll find out when this is all over. But right know we have to do this. You can hate us for it, but there isn't another way to handle this."
Lapis' eyes started to shake wit tears erupting from them. This isn't what she wants. This isn't how she wanted things to go down. But...even though she didn't this plan Z conjured, there were other things on Earth she started to like and wanted to keep safe. This wasn't fair for her because she isn't given a choice. However...options were limited and time was running out for everyone at this very moment.
Giving Z a nod Lapis placed a peck on his lips right before he turned around. Taking a few step ahead a stopped in his tracks to look at the others. "You all are greatest family we've ever known. We love each and every one you. Though we have our differences, let's spread our wings and soar to the stars." He then placed his attention onto Steven, "And little brother. I'm sorry, but I can't keep the promise we made."
Tears swelled in Steven's eyes right until they fell onto his cheeks. He opened his mouth to speak, but the words wouldn't form. Wiping his tears he rushed up to Z and hugged him. The hug was brief and Steven gave him a solemn nod.
From Z's back two crystal shards shot out from his jacket and began to grow. Once they reached a certain height several more crystals began to grow from the sides until they reached to his ankles. The crystals spread themselves out, making a small flap. An aura of green energy soon surrounded Z as he began to flap the crystals again, only this time they launched him into the air. Narrowing his eyes he locked onto his target.
'Looks likes we'll see you soon...Elizabeth.' Both Z and Kameron thought in unison.
With another flap of his newly made wings Z burst through the air, send him and Kameron toward the Cluster. Watching him come the Cluster unleashed another ferocious roar and pulled back all six of it's arms before launching them at it's prey. Flapping his wings again Z flew right through a tight opening of the attack and continued onward. Coming up to the Cluster's body he pulled his crystallized arms back and thrusted them onto the creature.
RRRRRRRRRRRRRRRROOOOOOOOOOOOOOOAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHH!
Latching onto it the energy from the Cluster began to surge it's way into Z.
Watching his actions from afar the rest of the Guardians took a step forward. Garnet started snapping her fingers while Amethyst shook her hips and spun her way her. Pearl twirled herself and kicked the air while making her way up to Garnet. Shaking her own hips Garnet held herself together as Pearl and Amethyst made contact with her sides. In a flash of light all three merged together to form Alexandrite.
Steven sniffed a little and turned his attention onto Connie. They both embraced each other and in a flash of pink light Stevonnie emerged.
Azurite placed both of her hand onto her chest Gemstone. A blue glow shined from it and coming out was her blue lantern. "Everyone! Let us giving everything we have!" She shouted. Raising her lantern a blue light began to shine and portions of light came out. Each light made contact with each of Kameron's energy rings, causing everyone's eyes to glow and surround their bodies with their respected colored auras. Putting the lantern back into her Gemstone Azurite summoned her wings and took flight.
Lapis quickly followed after, making their way to the Cluster. With Alexandrite right behind them both Azurite and Lapis flew high in the air and directed themselves at the Cluster's eyes. Despite getting it's energy sucked from Z the Cluster's attention was brought up by the others. Lowering it's mandible a sphere of energy began to form on it. Growing bigger and bigger the Cluster fired the sphere off, unleashing another massive blast.
Seeing it come right at them Lapis and Azurite quickly move away while Green and the others rapidly jumped from the grasp of Alexandrite and rushed their way onto the top of her head. Once on top Green released a barrage of crystal tendrils and wrapped them around each of Alexandrite's arms, crystallizing her hands in the process. Now completely crystallized Alexandrite placed her hands in front of her right when the blast was coming up. Making contact Alexandrite grunted from the abrupt force, though she was able to stand firmly on the terrain and push herself on. The blast itself was beginning to decrease in size while Alexandrite's hands glowed with energy. Soon the blast was depleted and Alexandrite roared from the supercharge given to her.
Rushing up to the Cluster Alexandrite grasped her hands into it's, locking her fingers onto it and firmly digging her feet into the terrain. With that taken care of Lapis and Azurite ascended into the air and dived themselves into the Cluster's corner eyes. Getting further and further to the eyes both water Gems spun their bodies, engulfing themselves in their own wings and hitting their targets.
RRRRRRRRRAAAAAAAAAAUUUUUUUGGGGGGGGHHHHHHH!
Shrieks of agony exited the Cluster.
Lapis and Azurite pushed themselves from the destroyed eyes and made their way to Alexandrite.
On Alexandrite's shoulder's Green, Amber, and Peridot clasped their individual hands, charging up spheres of energy within them. Father and daughter stood side by side and pushed their spheres together, making it even bigger. They both looked at each in the eye and nodded. Pulling their combined sphere back at both threw it right into a Cluster eye. Peridot followed after, lowering her arms and launching a huge sphere of energy at another Cluster eye. Watching the spheres go they both managed to hit their targets, making the Cluster shriek even louder that before.
Stepping up Onyx opening several large portals while Pyrope, Charoite, Lepidolite, Citrine, Bismuth, and Stevonnie jumped right into them. From one portal Pyrope crossed his arms as he dived toward a Cluster eye. Jerking his head back he uncrossed his arms and released a huge stream of flames. The intense heat and his brother's energy ring made the stream twice as big as it normally would be before it pierced it's way through the eye. Charoite summoned six kunais from her Gemstone and threw them at the Cluster eye in front of her. Lepidolite followed the attack by accompanying it with two of her fans. Citrine pulled back his hammer while Bismuth raised her arms up, turning her hands into mallets. Together they slammed their weapons onto their Cluster eye. Lastly, Stevonnie dismissed their shield and flipped their sword up-side down. Gripping the hilt with both hands they pulled it back and thrusted it onto their upcoming Cluster eye.
Each attack brought out more screams from the Cluster.
Onyx summoned more portals and swiftly brought back those who went into his previous ones. With them back there was only one Cluster eye remaining: the center eye.
Lowering it's mandible the Cluster conjured another energy sphere. Seeing this made Alexandrite grip onto it's hands even harder. She then raised up her second mouth, breathing out a huge storm of flames from it, directing it right onto the center eye. The flames brought out a howl out of the Cluster and made it disperse it's attack.
As all of this was going on Z continuously resumed drinking up every ounce of energy the Geo-Weapon had. Thrusting his fingers into it's body further his crystals started to crack, causing him to regenerate them by the second. Multiple groans and grunts left his mouth at the surge of energy going through his body like a car speeding through an open highway with no traffic in sight. His eyes began to glare at the Cluster's body as he started to scream.
"THAT'S IT! GIVE ME EVERYTHING YOU HAVE!" Z screamed at the top of his lungs.
Bringing out multiple tendrils Z thrusted them into the Cluster, draining it's energy at an even faster rate.
The lights of the Cluster started to deplete. Alexandrite's grip on it began to weaken right until it's arms started to lower themselves. Releasing it's arms Alexandrite and the rest of the Guardians watched the Cluster's arms fading away. It lifted it's head into the air right as it started to fade as well. From it's head, arms, upper and lower body, the entire being was getting drained by Z.
"Unbelievable..." Peridot said quietly. There was no way she fully believed they would be able to handle such a task. There was no way they would be able to succeed, let alone actually accomplishing such a feat that has never been done before. And yet...she was witnessing it happening right in front of her eyes. The very lengths the Rainbow Gems and Crystal Gems would go through just so the Earth and all life on it would be saved.
With the last of it's essence going into him Z collapse into the empty container. Hitting it's lower structure he instinctively grabbed his shirt. Continuous groans left his mouth while he slowly picked himself up.
"Z!"
Turning his head Z spotted the others at the top of the metal container. Seeing their concerned expressions Z shot them a smile right when his body was engulfed in a large white aura. Turning his eyes onto his Gemstone he quickly summoned out a Warp Whistle and blew into it.
November 16th 12:00 a.m.
Warping away from everyone Z arrived at the one place him and Kameron loved more than anywhere: The Forest.
Grunt quickly exited out of Z while he put the Warp Whistle back into his Gemstone. With no-one around them and no longer within a cavern, Z looked up at the night sky filled with stars and clasped his hands. Lowering them to his knees he then threw them into the open air, unleashing massive burst of white energy out and into the only place him and Kameron could think of: space.
Violent winds blew right around him as the blast continued on. Many animals around him ran away while the winds blew hard at the trees, pushing many leaves or acorns out of their branches. From a distance, anyone could locate him, but that didn't concern him at the moment. Every ounce of energy from the Cluster was getting shot out by nothing more than a sixteen-year old Gem-hybrid.
The column of light Z made began to shrink until it ultimately vanished, leaving nothing but small flickers of light in the air. His aura soon disappeared while he lowered his arms. A long sigh left him as he felled onto his knees. Small chuckles exited his mouth as he raised his head to the stars above.
"We...we did it, Kam." Z said softly.
We sure did, Z. That took a lot out of us, but it was worth it. - Kameron replied.
"You know...what happens next. I'll let you...take it from here. I'll be...joining you soon." Z said, closing his eyes.
Okay. - Kameron replied.
Their Gemstone glowed once more, making Kameron's skin return to normal. Sucking in some air he slowly exhaled it out while his body tumbled, collapsing onto the soft grass of his beloved usual spot.
His wings slowly went back into his back, leaving the White Blade in his forest, wingless.
End Of Episode 60.
