Dylandidi10: I had the same idea at the beginning, but at some point the idea of being interrupted over and over again gets kind of... annoying. Hence i decided to go with a short (and crappy lmao) kiss. I'll probably go back to the chapter to change it up because a kiss between definitely has to be better than that. Still, glad you enjoyed the other chapters!

I remember someone once commenting for an idea where the Loki familia meet Noel, which is where this idea is taking off from. Sadly either i can't find the comment or it never existed :'( Anyways, Noel returns and reunites with everyone. That's it that's the plot. No real shipping here (except maybe Syr and Bell if you squint). This is heavily based off a christmas event in Danmachi: Memoria Freese, so if you haven't watched it then you won't understand half of the reactions in here ^^'

Christmas was near, and the cold in Orario and under the tower of Babel couldn't be more clear about it. Though the festivities were being prepared and familias were starting to save up time for the holiday, the largest of the families couldn't catch a break.
They had been informed of abnormal activity. Apparently there had been some weird power circulating near the entrance of the 19th floor and the adventurers had seen far too many scenarios of the power going haywire and causing mishap to even dare venture near it. With that the quest was handed over to Finn, who decided their familia needed a bit of exercise and took them along with his quest.
Ais had expected many things. An abnormal or new monster, the Evilus putting some sort of spell there, the dungeon creating something unexpected again, literally any of those scenes.
She, with her sword raised, the conflicted Bete, the confused Amazon sisters and the surprised Lefiya beside her, alongside their two biggest familia figures ready to attack at any time, did NOT expect a small girl, as old as 6, slumbering beside the entrance. A white flow of magic circled her like a ring as if to protect her from any monsters. Her face showed peace, despite being in the DUNGEON, which she dare say was DANGEROUS for KIDS. Her hair, she noted, was a glowy gray. She also had some rather familiar clothes on herself…
"Ummm…" Lefiya broke the silence that had fallen on the group. "... Finn-san, what… do we do?"
"Aww she looks cute! And harmless mind you!" Tiona shot back when noticing Bete's eyes on her. He just rolled them and cautiously stepped near her, swords still in hand in case anything else happened. The ring around the little girl seemed to react to his presence, immediately dropping.
"..." Bete kneeled beside her, checking her for any possible explanation to her power. she looked like any other girl, if you didn't include the green maids dress. She didn't seem to have any injuries as well…
to his surprise, the girl started to awake, eyes fluttering open and small hands to rub them. She wasn't aware of her surroundings at the time, and Bete spared a look to his familia.
… Who to his disappointment seemed to enjoy his discomfort of approaching a child and only seemed to gesture him to go further in.
"Hmm?" The girl hummed softly, still sounded sleepy. "Mommy…?"
If Bete heard Tiona and Tione's laughter behind him, he decided to deal with it later.
"I'm not your mom, kid." He grumbled. The girl finally peaked at him, and then the rest. She seemed surprised at most at seeing them, which… was not the reaction you'd expect? Did she even know she was in the dungeon? "who are you and what the hell are you doing in the dungeon?" her attention shifted back to him. He wasn't going to lotter around with sweet words, he simply needed answers.
Apparently that was the wrong choice, because next he knew she started crying and sobbing about her mother and father.
"Wow, good job Bete!"
"As if you could do a better job you stupid amazon!"
...
"N… Noel?" Ais blinked at the girl, who was munching on a Jagamarukun. She and her familia had collectively decided to get the girl to the surface first before continuing their conversation. She currently walked with 'Noel' through the streets of orario. Accompanying her were the amazon sisters, a grumpy wolf and a neutral elf.
Finn and Riveria had gone to the guild to report about the quest.
The girl nodded, looking quite happy while eating. "Mmhmm, mommy gave me that name!"
This time Noel smiled brightly, giving a shy and slow nod. "Mommy is… really nice. And Noel got to meet a lot of nice people, like Anya, Chloe, Lunor, and Ryu too…"
By now it was confirmed that she was related to the hostess of fertility. If her dress didn't spell it out clearly, the names she listed off more than completed that.
"Noel really wants to meet mommy…" Noel murmured, this time sadly. "But she doesn't want to get lost like last time…"
"... Out of curiosity, is your mother the one with the ponytail?" Tiona pointed at her hair as if to emphasize. After all, she had menTioned all but one person.
However, the nod she gave her all but made her freeze. Lefiya seemed to be thinking the same thing, because she also paled.
"Hah? so the old hag has a daughter?" Bete raised an eyebrow and Noel gave him a pout.
"Mommy is… not old.. she's very pretty…"
"... I think you and I are thinking of different people." Tione sweat-dropped.
"As if! There is no one else in there who has a daughter! Or, someone even old enough to… to…!" Lefiya struggled with the next words and Tiona gave a sigh.
"Who would have known. Mamma Mia has a daughter who marched into the dungeon and apparently has some weird magic."
"... B-but if she had a daughter… why are we finding out about it now…?" Aistried to pull them out of their theories. It didn't work.
"But Ais! Think! Imagine! Mamma Mia is always so attached to the hostess, that she's never had any time for romance." The amazon threw out her arms dramatically. If she earned looks from passersby at her entire sentence, she chose to ignore them. "Maybe… maybe her love was forbidden!" her eyes widened excitedly.
"Oh my god." Tione gave the heaviest sigh she could muster. Here they go again, with her sister's stupidity.
"One day, while she was working at the hostess of fertility-" Tiona continued, voice growing louder. "She met the man of her dreams, who conveniently turned out to be also a traveller. slowly but surely, both fell in love. But since he was a traveller and she was bound to stay in Orario, they couldn't get together. Hence, they shared their love once, and then he left."
"Someone stop her." Tione was suffering from second-hand embarrassment.
"Then came, tada!" She threw her arms towards the confused and slightly frightened Noel. "Noel! the sign of their love! but, she was so heartbroken at her lover's leave that she left Noel to fend for herself!"
"I swear to Loki I will murder you if you continue this story-"
"But then! She brought her back in again and she met all the hostess of fertility maids! Sadly, after that, Noel got lost and ended up in the dungeon."
Silence.
"That…" Bete started at last. "... is probably the most outlandish and stretched story i have ever heard."
"It doesn't even make sense!" Tione screeched.
"L-let's just get to the hostess as fast as possible!" Lefiya said and hastened her steps.
Nearby, the renard who has heard all of their conversation could only stare at their retreating figures with mouth agape.
...
"Ah, welcome home Haruhime-san- oh wow." Lili paused with drinking her hot cocoa to watch as the pale renard closed the door behind her, shaking slightly. "Are… you okay? Was it that cold outside?" The whole Hestia familia, minus Mikoto who went to visit Takemikazuchi, were there as well.
"L-Lili-san…" Haruhime put down the bag of groceries on the table, looking at her with a pale face. "... D-did… did any of you know Mamma Mia had a daughter…?"
A crash followed after her sentence, alongside the coughs of someone who was probably drowning. Respectively, Welf falling off the chair and Bell choking on his hot cocoa.
Hestia and Lili stared at her in pure shock.
"Haruhime, what are you talking about…?" Welf questioned while rubbing his head.
"I-I was in the marketplace and I heard Tiona-san talking about it… she and her familia apparently…" She knelt closer, as if telling a very serious secret. "... found her daughter!"
Everyone collectibly gasped (or in Bell's case, choked even more).
"No way!"
"Mamma Mia has a daughter?!"
"Forget that, she has a lover?"
"Y-yes! At least, that's what I heard… They were headed to the hostess to reunite them, I think!" She clapped, sounding happy. Who didn't like a nice reunion of family?
"Oh, then let's go there!" Hestia shot up, immediately getting herself ready. "I, for one, am NOT missing this!"
"Bell-sama, you can stop choking now."

When you're Tiona and you're talking so loudly even those outside orario can hear you, it's no surprise that news spreads across the whole city like it's in the winds itself.
Before the gossip and news could form into more distorted tales of themselves though, the children of the loki familia has already reached the hostess of fertility. They stepped in, surprised at the not-so-crowded place. There were certainly a few people here and there, but it seemed the hostess was keeping itself low to get ready for the upcoming rush of christmas.
That, or the adventurers got the news of Loki familia clearing out the 'abnormal' activity and went back to their jobs instead of being cowards.
"Ah, Loki familia nya!" A familiar voice sounded as one of the waitresses spotted them and came rushing over. "Welcome nya! We're currently getting ready for Christmas, but it's a surprise not so many people are…" Anya trailed off, eyes switching to every one of them before finally landing on the girl behind Tiona.
Her eyes widened and her ears dropped, mouth open yet lost of words to say. Noel, who has been reminiscing about the familiar place and even more familiar voice, looked up at her and started to tear.
"Anya… !" She threw her arms out. The Loki familia, sensing something in the air, immediately made distance. Then they watched, in surprise, as the usually cheerful cat trapped the girl in the hug, shoulders shaking from crying. Her face was hidden by Noel's hair so they couldn't even see what expression she had.
"N-Noel, y...you're actually here! I- I didn't-" Could be made out from between her sobs, but before it could continue the other waitresses stepped in.
"Hey, what's going on…? Why is Anya crying?" Lunor quesTioned with hands on her hips. she squinted her eyes at the loki familia, who didn't really know how to reply to that. Before the accusations started, Chloe suddenly shrieked and immediately went to where Anya was, also throwing herself in the hug.
"Chloe, Anya-"
"No way!" lunor slammed her tray down, also rushing over to the group to confirm what her eyes had seen. Ryu frowned, even more confused. Just then mamma Mia stepped out of the kitchen, looking ticked off at the sudden commission. Tiona silently gasped, eagerly waiting for her reaction to her 'daughter'.
"What's with all the ruckus here? Oe, you idiot girls, what do you think you're doing?"
At last did the waitresses part, Anya still looked like a crying mess while the other had only shed a few tears. Noel herself was crying, but they were happy tears. Ryu's eyes widened in surprise while mamma Mia raised an eyebrow.
Then, to Tiona's utter disappointment, gave a puff of laugh with a small smirk. "Well, if you aren't back. What were you thinking, making us wait so long?"
"N-Noel's sorry, I promises to return on time next time!" The girl gave a shaky laugh through her tears and mamma Mia gave another bark of laughter.
"Sure, try being brave when you wipe away those tears!"
At last the bubbly amazon couldn't help herself. "... That's it? Where's your hug and tears?!" She whined with a pout. The rest of her comrades face-palmed. Mamma Mia raised an eyebrow again. "I mean, isn't she your daughter from the mysterious travelling lover you have?"
Silence fell over the group. someone coughed in the background.
"..?" One could literally see the question marks over mamma Mia's head while Anya started laughing. HARD.
"N-Noel, what did you- you tell them nya?!" She wheezed out through her laughs and Noel hummed in thought.
"I… told them mommy had a ponytail." This only resulted in Chloe joining Anya. Lunor buried her face in her hands while Ryu hid her laughs before the tray.
Only Mamma Mia didn't look amused. She gave a sigh and just shook her head. Her look reminded them a lot of that with a mother and their disappointment with their child.
"Right. I can never understand where these ideas of yours come from." With that said she stepped back in the kitchen.
Tiona huffed as her familia also gave a few giggles. That is, until Noel tugged on Anya's dress. "Anya, where is mommy?"
...
The group sat at one of the tables, the waitresses taking turns to keep her company. Although Noel had been returned, Tiona still didn't want to leave. The mystery of whose child this was was still unsolved!
They chatted amongst themselves, watching as Noel happily munched on the pie she had gotten from mamma Mia.
"Haaah, if mamma Mia isn't her mother and she doesn't have a lover, then who else here has a ponytail…" Tiona wondered, absentmindedly tapping her fingers. "None of the waitresses want to tell us!"
"That's because they enjoy watching you struggle. Honestly can't blame them." Bete smirked.
"That's what i was mentioning earlier…" Tione started, but all and everything stopped when the door slammed open. The sight of a panting rabbit foot, alongside the last waitress who had been out for grocery shopping (but didn't have with her now) was one of the most surprising things they had seen.
"W-we heard… Noel-" Syr breathed, following Bell as she desperately scanned the place for the girl. Noel caught her eyes and immediately dropped her pie, smile widening (which wasn't much considering her soft look) as she jumped on her feet and rushed towards them.
Both Bell and Syr, in return, only kneeled and opened their arms as she fell into them.
"Mommy! daddy!"
Bete spit out his beer all over Lefiya, who didn't even react. Her eyes were centered on the… couple? Who were happily chattering with Noel about her surprise return. Aiswas following her example only watching in bewilderment. Tione gaped while Tiona shot up, slamming her hands on the table.
"OH, SO THEY HAD ANOTHER WAITRESS WITH A PONYTAIL!"
"I don't think that's the surprise here?!"
"Mommy, daddy, you have to meet the new friends who saved me…!" Noel grabbed both Syr and Bell by their hands, dragging them over to the group. Syr blinked and started giggling, probably plotting something that witch, while Bell started regretting coming over there with Syr in tow.
He was right.
"WHAT IS THAT HUMAN DOING HERE?! A-A-AND 'DADDY'?!" lefiya, the first one to break out of her surprise, shouted as loudly as she possibly could.
Bell pressed his lips, holding a weak finger up.
"... I can explain!"
"Aww, but there's nothing to explain Bell-san!" Syr immediately put that finger away, wrapping her arms around his arm and enjoying how his face immediately went red. "Why don't you tell them the truth…? That we, you know…?"
"I have no idea what you're talking about Syr-san!"
"But Bell-san, how could you forget that night of passion-"
Bell swore he saw fire in lefiya's eyes. He could also feel Ais' soulless eyes boring into his soul.
If his familia, who had entered right after the whole screaming started, noticed his pain… well, they didn't make an effort to help him. Traitors.
...
"Hey, Noel." Bell spoke up as he, Noel and Syr sat near the window. His fingers softly grazed her hair while Syr hummed a soft tune to herself. She sounded so happy.
"... Yes, daddy?"
"... will you leave again?" the humming stopped as did his fingers. Noel paused, turning her gaze from the stars to him. he noticed a certain sadness in them, that sadness that one has already experience.
"... Noel doesn't know… but Noel doesn't want to leave again…! I want to say here, with mommy and daddy and Anya and everyone else…!" She went to hug him, and he didn't stop her. Welcoming her. And not only her, as a quiet Syr scooted over and joined her.
Perhaps it comforted her to be closer to them.
He hoped it did.
... Well, that ended... openly. This was written without minding much to 'how' or 'why' she returned. Sorry if it wasn't really to your taste, this was meant to be more humorish and wholesome without much of the shipping that is usually there. Good thing is, I'll be updating soon again! With holidays and all xD
