Hi I wish to inform you that I have done a torture scene in this though this is pretty mild and minor. I've indicated where it starts and ends with:
…
Chapter 17: Meeting Jacqueline Porter
Note: Readers please listen to Red Alert 2 200 metres while reading this.
Noire is now driving the Humvee and I'm riding shotgun, a lot is plaguing my mind ceaselessly. But in the mean time I decide to ask about Shay and Ezio, while I appreciate my driver having one of her hands on my bullet wounds to help numb the pain a bit, massaging it soothingly as best as she can.
"Noire do you know who Shay and Ezio are? I do recognise the names but I'm wondering what you know about them?" I ask her with much curiosity.
"Well Shay was once a Templar from where he came from, and Ezio was once an Assassin. They were both from a universe called Assassins Creed, but they both lived at different times and their factions were against each other. They both somehow ended up in Lastation where their beliefs happened to be similar to what I have. They also happened to love how prosperous and free Lastation is, and decided to serve me knowing that my ambitions are to bring the same prosperity, joy and freedom throughout the world.
Because they both believed in protecting the innocent, and helping the good of mankind, they became very good friends. As appreciation for them allying with each other and me, I have trained them both so that they can be assassins with modern day weapons, and be familiar with present day equipment. They once set up a network of spies who were highly trained like themselves, and we have sent them in Planeptune and Leanbox. But they all got captured instantly and were forced to commit suicide, so I decided to stop sending any others, and just had them be soldiers defending Lastation instead. And so Shay and Ezio now train them to be soldiers.
I'll have to see if they know who this assassin is. I see them quite frequently and we often talk about different stuff, they're great people." Noire explains with much pride both in her voice and in her expressions.
I do have memories of Assassins Creed now, how the Templars believed in order, control, no free will where-as the Assassins believed in humanity and freedom. It always intrigued me as to which ideology is better and I guess it's debatable. I personally think you need something in the middle.
The problem with the Assassins' ideology is that there could be too much freedom where they did whatever they wanted. This could spiral out of control as there's nothing to restrain them and chaos could erupt to say the very least, not least I do remember occasions where I found them to be hypocritical. Furthermore this ideology doesn't work since people want belonging; they want leaders for guidance and protection, along with sorting out issues.
On the other hand the problem with the Templar's ideology, is that too much control means oppression and a lack of freedom, this could lead to horrible dictatorships as they're at the complete whim of their masters, and too much order becomes chaos especially with what I've seen in the series, and no doubt it's the case with other things and I wonder if there have been any rebellions in Planeptune, or whether they were too brainwashed to fight back.
The ideology I therefore clearly support is the Lastation one, not least of which because of how it's a complete utopia. Noire's belief of working hard ruling over the people and doing everything for them, as well as giving them an excellent life style is absolutely flawless. She's such an idealistic goddess and a wonderful benevolent leader.
The relationship between the CPU and the people is ever so amazing, and they're the best anyone could ever hope for, if they're to take either role. While I say that I do find myself wondering whether Noire believes in the Templar ideology or the Assassin ideology? Probably both, or somewhere in between like myself. As there seems to be both control and freedom working side by side together in Lastation, with the perks of perhaps being in the best place to live in Gameindustri.
After thinking about the philosophies of both factions, I notice my sexy driver thinking to herself while flirting and remaining calm before speaking to me.
"You know, it's too bad we don't have the manifest of all the Leanbox troops in the area. I mean disguise is one thing but what concerns me is I don't know any of their names; I guess I'll have to call myself Erin Williams." Noire chuckles in an amused way.
Erin Williams eh? I like the name, it reminds me of a couple of talented people but I can't remember what their talent was unfortunately.
"Yeah speaking of which, isn't it odd that we only seem to have fought Leanbox and never Lowee?" I ask her with much curiosity in my voice.
"You make an excellent point Black. While there was a time where I got on with Vert, Blanc, and even Neptune for a very short time before arriving here, I was very good friends with Blanc, in fact one of my best. In fact I think I was friends with her the longest, and it's a great big shame that for some reason, she fell out with me after meeting up in Planeptune." Noire speaks to me sounding quite down, while nodding in agreement. I can tell how much she values her friend and how tragic for that friendship to be lost.
It is indeed a shame, I remember liking Blanc a lot and having a lot of respect for her, I hope I don't have to fight her. It'd be dreadful if it was the case.
"I think the nightmares last night and the ambush are connected. I mean the Neps want us to kill each other for some reason. Trying to make us think the other is evil, and the ambushers themselves talked about capturing one of us, due to them believing the other is dead. It amazes me that our complete absolute faith and love for each other is what kept us both alive.
Unfortunately though it will only be a matter of time before we lose sense and fight each other. How do I prove to my demons that you're innocent, when I can see for myself that you're innocent?" I reply to her asking her a question, sounding quite concerned, despite trying not to show stress or be stressed from this.
Although why does Neptune and Nepgear want me to kill Noire? Why are they so insistent that Noire is corrupt? Could they be brainwashed? Maybe it could have something to do with me strongly disliking them, but why do I dislike them so much? It's because of what they did to her in the series. Could it also be revenge or is it another reason altogether, and what power does she have here? Is she behind all this or is it someone else?
"Exactly, good, evil, isn't it a matter of perspective? I always do my best to be good because I remember you bringing me and my sister up to be good, you have taught us very well. I don't think I could have had a better teacher. Hmmmm The name Jacqueline Porter sounds familiar, I don't remember it from here, but I remember the name before I came here." Noire speaks while deep in thought, her expressions express much thinking.
"Yeah the name does sound familiar… yeah I remember the name, it's coming back to me… She was that moron who constantly bad mouthed you, constantly mocked your capabilities as a leader. Even going so far as to write some stupid book named This Universe is Fake, where it didn't portray you in a decent light at all. Not to mention she mocks Uni, in particular her accuracy with her guns.
Clearly she hasn't met you two has she? All she does is act as though she's above everyone else and just moans, moans, moans with nothing better to offer." I reply to her sounding rather disgusted with this Jacqueline, no doubt my body expresses this too.
"Uh huh, she has also bad mouthed a wonderful story you made, saying it's the worst ever. Thing is if you ask me her book was the worst ever. That's all I remember just her constantly running her mouth about how bad we are, and now we have reason to believe she wants Lastation dead. It's just as well we're meeting her, maybe she knows where we came from." She replies sharing the same disgust that I do, though I do sense there is an opportunity to meet her and to defeat her, while hopefully getting some answers.
"Yeah, oh that's interesting another roadblock; well let's see if your disguise works." I say to her sounding optimistic.
The roadblock which I see in the distance is made up completely of cars, but they look like regular everyday cars, all of them are grey and look quite dull, though they are fairly modern. As for the guards they're all in the same suits with shades. Their weapons follow the same logic as they're just regular AK47 assault rifles, MP5 sub machine guns and M4 Carbine rifles. Something tells me they're not gamers and they look similar to those in our nightmare last night. My CPU drives onward but stops at the roadblock as a guard approaches.
"Ah, you're the only survivor from that ambush and you have captured Lord Black Lead? Well done, our leader Mrs Porter will be most pleased. You may pass here, take this vehicle over there." The guard says pointing at our new vehicle in a snappy tone.
By this point my self-healing abilities have meant that I feel less pain. This concerns me as I'll have to resort to acting, which I hope is good enough to fool the enemy, considering I have no memories of doing so before. I can only try and recreate the symptoms of my injury.
I and Noire then get out of the Humvee as we walk to the vehicle he showed us, which look the same as in the road block. As part of the act, Noire has a captured Leanbox pistol pointing at me and she grabs hold of my arm as hard as she can, but I feel no pain. While I walk with her clutching my wounds as I try to mimic being in pain, doing my best to act this hoping that they buy it.
As we approach the vehicle only to get inside, we find that it isn't really impressive at all. Instead of a game controller there is a steering wheel and gears, it looks very out of place in a world like this. I'm more convinced now of whom they are.
We agree on Noire driving and for some reason, perhaps due to our origins and memories she's able to drive this vehicle, but not as well as her Lastation cars or even the Leanbox Rhino. I can understand though, no doubt due to experience and ease.
"They appear to be the same guys we encountered in our last dream together." I say to Noire while facing the front.
"I remember their weapons and cars, but they don't seem to belong in Gameindustri although they could be from Neutral Land. I wonder if they came from the same place as you, or where we originally came from." She replies sounding quite curious, her expressions clearly says she's deep in thought.
"It's all mysterious, who is the real antagonist: Leanbox, Planeptune, these guys? Well at least we'll get to find out more answers here hopefully." I say to her with optimism in my voice, and no doubt I express it in my body language as well.
I decide to look at the scenery outside, in an attempt to not be concerned with the stresses I have. I enjoy the environment here, how it's full of different trees in the jungle as well as the different beautiful plants in different colours, especially Lastation ones, and the wildlife there too. It's too bad that we have no time to appreciate our surroundings or enjoy the sights, because of our mission. In fact if anything I have concerns as to whether I'd ever get a chance to see such beautiful scenery here again?
We drive through quite a lot of this breath taking scenery, and I find that as time passes the more healed up I am. The thing is, while that is awesome to recover from injuries sustained by a deadly assassin in a couple of hours, I need the wounds to convince my enemy. However, perhaps my acting will be sufficient in this endeavour, while Noire can provide the appearance of the wounds to help.
Eventually after some rather pleasant driving we reach our destination.
The destination consists of multiple futuristic piers including a couple big enough for cars, on a large pool of water with beautiful canals leading away from it though the canals are blocked by a black concrete gate which can be remote controlled. The gate having Lastation art work on it, so it's not an eyesore. Sat on top of the large pool of water is a huge silver building, and is tall, cylindrical and futuristic. The building is accessible by piers around it in which there's a path in the shape of a halo below the building, which has a glass bridge from one side to another, along with lifts including a couple big enough for cars and stairs to the building itself.
The building has a circular walkway around the building full of Jacuzzis and trees, in which that part is surrounded by glass, and is high enough to support several floors and must have some nice stuff in there. On top is another circular walkway with trees of different shapes and sizes, black benches with Lastation artwork on the backs, and next to that is a glass dome split into triangles. In the middle of this, is a large lift which supports a structure in the shape of thick Ss on top of another, which have plants on top of each available surface up there. Also in the structure, are rooms for different purposes.
On top of the glass structure, is another building with half of the outer sides being made of glass, while that structure is a thick outline of an octagon, and the glass sides are sat positioned next to a part, that is curved on its side and there's no glass and is the case for both sides of the glass side. There are 3 advanced helicopters evenly spaced out on top of the structure with the outline of an octagon, though I reckon there's 4.
It's a really nice place and it's large, and looks very environmentally friendly, and I can imagine people of Lastation going there to visit, and having a lovely memorable time there.
"This used to be a resort, built in the beginning of the 5th console war. It was built as a place to rest for those commuting to various places in Lastation. It's like a small complex and there's many large rooms, a waterpark, gym, conference rooms, shopping centre, a large bowling alley with many fun events, sports facilities, a few restaurants of different kinds, and a car park. It's very environmentally friendly run by wind, solar and hydro power. In fact there used to be boat races with the resort as the starting and finishing point. Due to the war however the family that run it allowed me to use it, if I ever needed to. I've been there a few times and it's quite nice. I've also done some events there for the people." Noire explains to me with much passion and pride.
After which she gets on her radio again.
"Are you in position Uni?" She asks her sister in a calm friendly tone.
After which she pauses while Uni answers.
"Yeah? Ok, stand by for now." She says calmly before holstering her radio quickly.
There are a few guards stationed here at the entrance. They're armed with the same small arms and one of them approaches to speak to us.
"Ah you're here to see Mrs Porter, she'll happily see you now. I'll take you to her." The guard says sounding quite emotionless.
We follow the unpleasant guard where he leads us to the accommodation area via the pier, the lift and then through a shopping mall. This looks really nice, since it has silver marble floor and supports, and is a few stories high full of shops. They consist of restaurants, clothes and electronics along with massage parlours, and beauty salons, before going in the next lift to the accommodation area.
I consciously try to act wounded as best as I can. After the lift takes us to the appropriate floor which happens to be the highest one, we go out and there's a corridor in which the guard leads us to one of the doors only for him to knock on the door a few times.
"Enter, now!" A woman barks with rage in her voice.
The guard opened the door for us, and we enter to meet a woman who is dressed in a business suit and has short hair and looks so plain.
I quickly notice how the room is boarded up, and it's only light because of all the lights being switched on. I can't help but wonder if this is their attempt to waste energy. Which won't work as we have too much of it, and it's fuel efficient lighting anyway. There isn't anything there apart from a fairly old computer in the corner. How come they have no furniture here apart from a desk that has a few items?
"Good day, I am Jacqueline Porter but you must call me Miss do you understand me?" She bellowed in quite a distinctive accent, which I feel I should know but my amnesia makes it such a don't which is quite frustrating.
"She'll be sorry she spoke like that to me." Noire says with determination but she doesn't say it aloud. She says it by telepathy, also known by me as mind talk.
Yep the same nasty person, I remember. Oh how I can't wait to defeat her.
"Yeah." I reply to both.
"So you're Lord Black Lead eh? I've heard of you, did anyone ever tell you your CPU sucks, your landmass sucks and your story sucks?" She barks like a dog and is so aggressive towards us, her body language suggests much anger.
"Only you, so you wanna speak to me, why?" I ask sarcastically. I'm a bit irritated because of her to say the least, but I remain calm as I'm sure our time will come.
"12, 1, 19, 20, 1, 20, 9, 15, 10, 0, 5 ,19 ,0,4,5,1,4,0,1,14,4,0,5,22,9,11,0 ,11 ,9 ,12 ,12 ,0 ,12 ,1 ,4 ,25 ,0 ,2 ,12 ,1 ,3 ,11 ,0 ,8 ,5 ,1 ,18, 20,100." Neptune and Nepgear are chanting in my head right now in my head.
I don't know why they're chanting that but, maybe Jacqueline has something to do with this. I'm starting to get a headache right now, whether it's down to pain, or being annoyed I'm unsure. Either way at least it means I don't have to fake my wounds. But I must admit my wounds are starting to disappear completely now, this concerns me quite a bit.
"Because I'm here to offer you employment to work with us here. And you too who are you girl?" She speaks quite aggressively again, her body language yells how much she wishes to smack us one.
"Erin Williams." Noire says trying her best to conceal her irritation with the joke.
"What kind of name is that? It's stupid. Anyway I'll check out your name on the computer." Jacqueline speaks harshly, her body language now showing signs of dismissal as she storms off.
"I like the name, what a joke she is… Uh oh, she's going to check the manifest on the computer." I mind talk to her calmly, despite the concern that I have with regards the actions of our current enemy.
But thankfully Noire responds without breaking cover, as she gives me a brief smile to indicate that she has a plan for this situation.
"Isn't it something that Lady Black Heart died in a…." Noire says casually to Jacqueline as she does the finger snap of doom in a smug manner, her body language screams how much we have our enemy where we want her.
It is then that the lights are switched off. I just hope that the witch Porter doesn't suspect the finger snapping caused the lights being switched off. Fortunately I'm able to see her with my magnetic vision.
"Oh great, now we've lost power, oh damn it I can't see." Jacqueline moans loudly with frustration, groaning as well.
"I'll go and get help." Noire mind talks to me with a smile.
"Agreed, it's too bad we can't ask her about herself and her organisation due to lack of time. It'll only be a matter of time before she finds out I haven't killed you." I mind talk to her as she leaves, sounding happy with the results even if it's tragic about what I just said.
Jacqueline gets on the radio, unaware that Noire has left. Due to the room not having any windows or power, the room is dark, very dark, she can't see a single thing unlike me.
"Ganache, Singe, try and get the power back on will you?" She yells at them panicking with fear.
"12, 1, 19, 20, 1, 20, 9, 15, 10, 0, 5 ,19 ,0,4,5,1,4,0,1,14,4,0,5,22,9,11,0 ,11 ,9 ,12 ,12 ,0 ,12 ,1 ,4 ,25 ,0 ,2 ,12 ,1 ,3 ,11 ,0 ,8 ,5 ,1 ,18, 20,100." Neptune and Nepgear chant ceaselessly again in my head.
As soon as I hear the names, my head aches so badly. Thing is those numbers ring a bell, and I don't like the sound of them but for better or worse, probably the latter, I don't know anything about them, again due to you know what.
"May I ask why would I be interested in working for you?" I ask Jacqueline still sounding sarcastic, trying to conceal my pain in my head.
"The very fact that you have killed Lady Black Heart, suggests that you will work for us." She replies coldly in fact sadistically as though she is glad that I have done the deed.
It pleases to me to know that as far as she's concerned she's dead, but for how long? Hopefully if I ask her how she comes to that conclusion, perhaps I could get answers behind what's been going on here?
"Please explain." I ask her with a fake polite tone, though I am genuinely curious.
"I work for an organisation, it is very secretive but I know Nisa is my boss. I am also in charge of running this secret base in Lastation, it's so secret Lady Black Heart herself didn't know anything about it. Heh heh heh, oh she's so useless." She explains sounding so smug, her facial expressions suggests this too.
Not until today that is sucker, and oh boy what a sucker you are.
"How come you guys are invisible to Lady Black Heart?" I ask her in the same tone as before.
"Simple, we have taken medication, specifically designed to make us invisible to CPU radar, or anything from Lastation. As far as they're concerned we're just civilians. I've kept some on that desk over there." She points roughly to where her desk is, as she speaks in a tone that boasts at how she thinks she's outwitted Noire, when the inverse is true.
Oh, ho, ho, ho, ho. I just like how she gives me the information I need. Hopefully with that medicine Noire can provide a counter measure, and with luck, it will be ages before they can counter that.
"How did you know that Lady Black Heart would be dead today?" I question her in a curious tone, eager to hear more from the villain's mouth.
"Simple, we have brain washed you. When Lady Black Heart spoke with Lady Green Heart and you heard a mind control noise that was when we brain washed you. When you sleep we can see you on our computers and we can transmit various dreams. That's how we know you managed to successfully kill Lady Black Heart. I'm actually impressed you managed to do it considering how she's a CPU. Clearly it must be an assassination which although she must have put up a good fight instead of dying with dignity, you still triumphed. Didn't her other guards suspect anything?" She asks me, genuinely surprised with my success but boasting of it none the less.
"I managed to kill her in her sleep, no problem, the guards don't suspect a thing. She did wound me significantly as I did it, but I'll live." I lie sounding casual and giving a good explanation to the wound that I had but has healed now, and I'm merely acting there, even if I have a real headache in both senses of the word.
"Excellent, most excellent. Thanks to you, you have made Lastation less corrupt and less evil. Not to mention you have eliminated a stupid, blind, deaf tyrant who is very incompetent. Your first task is to kill the brat whose accuracy is beyond lame. Her name is Black Sister, the Candidate.
Of course before you can go, we need to wait a day to actually see if Lady Black Heart truly is dead. As well as checking if that moron Erin Williams is who she….where did she go?" She's bewildered after realising Noire isn't there, frustrated as well with bizarre things happening, her body language emphasising this as well.
"Ganache, Singe, haven't you managed to fix the power back yet you…oh, ok carry on." Jacqueline barks again only to realise the power is back on, her facial expressions showing concealed embarrassment.
"12, 1, 19, 20, 1, 20, 9, 15, 10, 0, 5 ,19 ,0,4,5,1,4,0,1,14,4,0,5,22,9,11,0 ,11 ,9 ,12 ,12 ,0 ,12 ,1 ,4 ,25 ,0 ,2 ,12 ,1 ,3 ,11 ,0 ,8 ,5 ,1 ,18, 20,100." Neptune and Nepgear chant once again, it seems to be that whenever I hear their names, my head aches badly. I wish it would end gah. Maybe if I kill this cynical joke my head ache can get lost, I'm certain it will happen soon.
As if on cue Noire enters the room casually while still in disguise.
"Where the hell have you been you joke?" She barks again at my ally, her body language clearly fuming.
A guard then barges before my CPU can answer that question, which I'm confident Miss Lastation has a perfectly plausible explanation.
"Miss, our roadblock is under attack by a gang of Lastation racers." The guard reports in a manner that suggests he's panicking a lot.
"Oh nuts you three leave the room, I need to blow up the computer." Jacqueline barks loudly.
She places some C4 as the guard leaves. Noire then transforms back to her sexy HDD state with a smug smile that screams "gotcha", which brings a smile to my face especially to see what reaction Jacqueline would have.
The villain then gets out a detonator with confidence despite the situation for the joke, and all a sudden someone shoots the detonator out of her hand. Though I couldn't hear the shot itself, her wrist is now bleeding rather badly and she's screaming in pain, and her body language suggests much, much agony from this.
"Thanks Uni, amazing shot." Noire speaks by radio in a tone that suggests much pride and boastfulness, really emphasising how we've got her.
"Accuracy is beyond lame huh? I wasn't even looking through the scope and I must have been several kilometres away, from that stupid brat." Uni replies loudly so that Jacqueline can hear what she has to say.
The moron is now in serious pain, she looks towards us and I can see her fuming even more with anger and humiliation, wishing horrible things to happen to us. Despite this she manages to draw her M1911, only for Noire to shoot Jacqueline's other wrist, causing her to drop her gun. She's in even more pain now, as she looks at her wrists that are full of blood and agony for the rest of her body.
By this time I don't feel any pain at all in contrast to my enemy, as my headache has completely gone and my wounds have healed up nicely, perfect timing. I feel rather happy and so does my goddess, as we've now got our hands on someone responsible for trying to get us to kill each other.
My brilliant sister Noire does a finger snap of doom, causing the entrance to this room to lock itself, in which a distinct sound can be heard no doubt for effect. I believe it will take some serious fire power to destroy this door, and so our criminal is trapped now. Noire then turns to face Jacqueline, the wounded villain charges towards my female ally, only to be shot in the ankle by Uni causing her to trip. She's now lying on her front in serious pain before looking up to the ceiling.
"Oh was that not a trap that was meant for me? That you and your dumb idol set up? Well I think it's terrible, but since I'm kind I'll return it to the sender." Noire speaks sounding rather smug and badass, along with happiness that we have got her for sure.
…
Noire then does another finger snap of doom in an attractive alluring fashion which I like very much. What happens is that a great big pile of rubble has fallen on top of Jacqueline's back with a crash and thud. I look up to the ceiling to find it intact. The rubble must have been planted there, my guess is that she probably used it to interrogate anyone she captured. Or used it as a trap, or maybe even try to imply that Lastation construction sucks. What pathetic poor propaganda just like in the series.
Noire is grinning like I am, her body language excited, eager to interrogate her. Watching the joke scream in pain, as she's crushed and beaten.
"Jacqueline, you haven't exactly been nice to us and Lastation have you. …no….. I tell you what, you tell me everything we need to know and I'll get you healed immediately. Because despite what you say, I'm a very nice person it's just that certain people insist I'm a horrible person you know, those that are brainwashed with propaganda nonsense like yourself evidently." Noire says to her in a friendly, but smug and confident manner.
I glance at the locked door, the health in which I find it interesting for there to be health but logical says 1000hp/1000hp. I just hope the door holds them off, long enough for us to have our entertaining interrogation. Oh how I'm looking forward to this, for what's she's tried to do to us and for her arrogant attitude. I just know we're gonna make that person regret trying to get us to kill each other, not least for saying horrible things about my sisters.
"LIKE I'LL TELL YOU, YOU STUPID DUMBASS!" She yells defiantly while grunting in pain.
In response Noire kicks her in the head really hard, leaving a massive bruise and a loud yell of pain in addition to all the previous ones coming from that nasty woman. My CPU then heads to the nearby desk, and picks up some table salt as well as the cream. She walks back, crouching down as she gently picks up one of Jacqueline's wrists, as she then pours salt onto the wound generously.
"OWWWWWWW! OK, OK! Please stop hurting me, I'll tell you everything you need to know, just promise me you'll let me go, OK, Please!" Yells the defeated villain frustrated and is really, really begging now.
I dunno why but I find it funny, probably due to remembering how horrible she was towards me and Noire. I must admit that as bad as this may sound, I actually get a kick out of punishing guilty villains and I know Noire does too. It's just that I enjoy avenging the innocent and bringing justice to the villains, as well as to get them to receive a taste of their own medicine. But rest assured it's only to vile villains, we'd never do this to innocent people or even enemy soldiers. In fact we've been trying to get the Leanbox troops to surrender to us, but to no avail, which is quite tragic to say the least, and this is in part for those that have fallen.
"Now we're talking and like I said, I'm a very nice person. OK first of all, who do you work for?" Noire asks politely, in a voice that is calm but says she is not to be messed with.
"….I apologise but I'm unsure, I know I report to Nisa." She panics as she speaks. I can tell by her moaning and looks that she is in serious pain.
"How can you not know who you work for?" I ask, I'm not sure I believe her and neither does Noire.
"Ow…Because I can't remember….uh…..I just remember being in Neutral Land and I… along with a large group of people was sent by Nisa my boss…. to this place." She is still panicking, still in pain. She sounds quite desperate too, pleading with us to believe her.
"I reckon she must have amnesia, no recollection of any of her life before coming here. Perhaps she came from the same place as us." I mind talk to Noire calmly.
"Yeah, convenient." She mind talks back in a similar tone.
Noire then talks to Jacqueline some more.
"Why did Nisa send you here?" She asks Jacqueline calmly and in a more polite tone, now the moron appears to be co-operating with us.
"…Our mission….. Was to ensure Lord Black Lead or Lady Black Heart was captured, oww….after one of you kill the other." She explains to us, she's still in such serious pain as her entire body aches, her head hurts, her back is crushed and her wrists ooze her evil blood out.
"Explain how you managed to brain wash us?" I ask Jacqueline in a similar tone to how my ally does.
"I'm sorry that is classified information." Jacqueline is getting cocky again, considering the circumstances.
I sigh as I find that she's such an idiot being cocky despite the pain she's in.
Noire then crouches down as she sticks her finger into Jacqueline's other wrist, her claw digging into her wrist even more causing more blood to come oozing out, as well as for the cocky girl to scream in even more pain than ever before, considering she's been shot in 3 places, had building work fall on her and had her head kicked in. I think she's starting to cry, because the pain is becoming too unbearable for her.
"Incorrect answer moron, my friend asked you a question. Which is to explain how you managed to brain wash us?" Noire asks calmly but firmly, her tone reminding Jacqueline to answer the questions correctly.
"OWWWWW! Please stop, ahahaha.
OK…. All I know is that we managed to brain wash you when you spoke to Lady Green Heart…..ow. I was instructed to broadcast the dreams from this computer over there, the truth is, none of the dreams are here. I don't know where they are now, but they are not here…..uh." She pleads in such pain wishing that it would stop immediately.
Upon hearing this, Noire lets go leaving the villain as a right gibbering wreck.
"The brain washing definitely did occur during your negotiation with Vert. But it didn't take any affect until we dreamed, the dreams must have come from here as she said. If we can find its source then maybe the brain washing will stop, at least we know for sure now." I mind talk to Noire in a satisfied tone, and my body language must express this as well.
I must admit it is slightly interesting as to how they brain washed us. I just hope we are able to stop it though.
"Thing is though, that brain washing hasn't worked. Because we're both still here and we're not fighting each other. Your pathetic dream of seeing me defeated is an insane fantasy that will never come true." Noire says to Jacqueline in defiance, as well as smug in her victory.
"Although why they thought I'd die today, when the HUD said it would happen in 3 days that I'm curious to know." Noire mind talks to me some more this time in a curious time.
"I thought it would, but I dunno why it failed." Jacqueline says but she sounded pathetic, she almost manages not to grunt or moan, only doing a small amount, but I know she's still in completely serious pain even with the claws no longer in her wrist.
"Interesting how she thinks it has failed." I mind talk to Noire remarking that fact.
"Does she know that for sure though, what would happen with regards our minds, if we destroy her operations here?" She mind talks back with curiosity in her tone.
"Well I don't know, it could be that she doesn't know for sure either way due to her rank. Furthermore I wonder if the ambush was another attempt in case it didn't work, but despite the opposition, I feel as though it was too light for us. Which considering their vital objective, why use too weak a force to do it. Is it practicality, underestimation of our abilities? Or is there another reason?
Then again, maybe the ambush was meant for one of us in a weakened state not both of us at full health, and they were sure it would work especially considering what happened last night. One thing I'm sure of is it's only when we're asleep would he know for certain if it's worked." I mind talk while thinking allowed.
"At least I am able to tell if she's lying, it's one of my abilities. She is not lying, in fact she has been telling the truth all of the time. The thing is though as you say she may not know as much as we'd like." Noire replies by mind talk clearly in thought like myself.
"It's still a very useful impressive ability to have. I'm sure what she knows will still help in our endeavours." I mind talk to her with encouragement.
She thanks me by mind talk for the compliment and reassurance.
"Do you know where Nisa is?" Noire asks the joke in her calm voice again.
"She's in Leanbox, I dunno where exactly. But she won't come here, we agreed to take the survivor there when we know you have been brainwashed." She replies sounding quite weak from all the pain, taking quite a while to say each of her sentences.
"Figures, that means that we'll have no way of speaking to her, unless….." I mind talk to Noire calmly.
"…Unless we capture Vert." Noire mind talks back in the same tone as me.
"Thing is, does Vert know about Nisa. Is this Vert's own doing?" I mind talk again thinking, trying to get answers calmly.
"I dunno, she could be brainwashed too. I have no idea and it's a pity as, as I said I got on with Vert but Blanc was my best friend." She mind talks again, polite but frustrated with the situation.
"Do you know if anyone else has been brain washed?" Noire asks Jacqueline in the same calm tone as before.
"I'm afraid not, I'm just in charge of here. I don't know anything, I was just asked to make sure the survivor of you two got captured today. After you have been brain washed that is it." Jacqueline says again with the same struggles due to the immense pain, and desperate, pleading to be believed and healed up.
Hmmm. With this in mind it makes me wonder even more whether her bosses knew this would happen, similar to the ambush or the attack by Leanbox. What is with this desire to apparently throw people away? Why would they do that if they wish to defeat us? Is it to show that they have us dangling by a thread that they whoever they are can just throw troops at us? Do they not care, or do they wish to cause as much destruction as possible even if it's their own people.
"How long have you been here?" I ask her, wanting to know as much as I can from the defeated moron.
"I don't know but I knew exactly when we needed to capture you. The thing is we don't have any contact with the outside world or our unknown superiors. We were just given our orders, we were given the supplies to do it and that's it. We're the only base here." She replies in the same way as before, a sentence at a time, and increasingly desperate for us to let her go.
At least it's good to know that we've wiped them out, and there's no more of them working behind our lines. Hopefully it won't happen again. But to not just be the only one, but to have strict limited contact, perhaps that proves my point even more. She must be brainwashed and foolish to go on with this without help despite having those bosses.
"It's bizarre but she's telling the truth." Noire mind talks to me, clearly baffled by this revelation, yet relieved at the same time, which her body language expresses.
"It's good to know they have no contact with the outside world, it means they can't call for reinforcements." I mind talk back with the same emotions and expression.
"Although I do know that we are being watched by our own CCTV cameras." Jacqueline says with a slight smugness, thinking that she's got a little one over us.
It turns out it's not the case as:
"Actually not because I switched them off. I don't want whoever, to know that we're both still alive. My radar said that someone who is not from Lastation was watching us." Noire mind talks to me in a smug tone but pretending to be a little worried from her body language, to hide her abilities from our enemy.
"OK, a few more questions. If you are just a pawn following orders, despite the fact that you don't really know who you work for or even who your superiors are, only knowing someone named Nisa. Why do you hate us so much?" Noire asks in a distinctive manner, curious but baffled by Jacqueline's logic.
"Why do you want to know that? I have already told you everything I know." Jacqueline replies, in her most begging tone yet along with her facial expressions which screams how little she can bear any more.
Noire then goes and gets a book.
"Ah. I recognise this book. It contains your review of Black's fanfic, as well as your own book called This Universe is Fake, hmm." She says in a distinct dramatic manner while holding it, her body language showing how much she disapproves of our enemy.
I think Jacqueline has realised that she has given another incorrect answer.
Noire then tears out a few pages and walks towards Jacqueline clearly distraught as well as hurt severely by this, as my CPU shoves the paper down the goon's mouth.
"Now Eat it, eat it or you'll be in more pain." Noire says firmly while also smiling.
After which she pinches Jacqueline's nose really hard. This causes her nose to ooze bleed due to the claws digging in, penetrating the flesh and making her scream so loudly as the immense pain is piled on top. Eventually the paper gets eaten and Noire then let's go. As a result Jacqueline chokes and gasps as she struggles to breathe, suffering as she's in even more pain than ever before due to all of it to taking a toll.
"OK if you don't tell me why you hate us, you're gonna eat the whole book. Think of it as eating your own words." Noire warns her in a firm calm manner.
Now that I'd love to see, I hope she's eaten that pathetic excuse of a review.
…
"OK I'll talk… because I thought you were….ow…ooohh actually evil. I believed you… uh to be a poor leader because you couldn't look after your nation properly. There was a company named Avenir which caused so much trouble for Lastation…. as they put lots of smaller companies out of business. They caused the economy to decline so much as well as mass unemployment,…. Not to mention the nation wasn't pleasant as it was full of smoke and pollution. You didn't just turn a blind eye to it in fact you …ow… uh… ooh helped Avenir.
The point is I didn't think you looked after your landmass and was not a decent CPU at all…., not to mention…..ah. I believed you to be arrogant and foolish, along with Uni.
I'm so, so sorry for all of this. Ah please, please, please spare me. I honestly believed it to be the case." Jacqueline explains while suffering in pain, sometimes struggling to get her words out. She then pleads and begs and her body language expresses this too.
"That's similar to what Neptune and Nepgear told me in my dream." I mind talk to Noire with curiosity in my voice.
"Strange, even though there never was a company called Avenir in Lastation, and I know to have done a good job as CPU. She is telling the truth, it makes no sense." She mind talks back to me in a puzzled expression, but her body language giving nothing away to our enemy.
"Yeah I mean I recognise what she said to have happened, but I know you to be good. Yet there is reason to believe this? I don't get it." I mind talk again with concern in my voice as well as bafflement with regards this.
Maybe our cooperative if persuaded correctly enemy might know.
"Who told you this, where did you get this information from?" I ask Jacqueline calmly.
"I…I…..I can't remember but I knew it to be true.
I'm so, so, so sorry for bad mouthing you 3 and Lastation, as well as your book, I must have been told lies I mean you guys seem different." She pleads and begs again as tears pour out of her eyes, the most yet and she's still in agonising pain.
"I know when you're lying and you have told us the truth. I'm a CPU of my word, I will remove the rubble from you and heal your wounds. But unfortunately I have to keep you in custody, though I won't torture you any longer. I just need to be sure that you are willing to defect, or at least you won't cause any more harm to Lastation. Let me tell you this, I don't know where you got the information from and its most unfortunate that neither do you, but I am not evil or corrupt. In fact out of all the CPUs, I'm the only decent one left as far as I know. All of Lastation actually loves me and a lot of people have defected to here." Noire explains calmly as herself and I approach Jacqueline, our body language showing a genuine desire to keep to our word.
"Thanks, again, look… I'm so sorry I badmouthed you guys…." Jacqueline says relieved with what Noire is about to do.
Suddenly, though I wondered if it would happen, she draws out a pistol hidden in her wrist as if to shoot us, but we notice it immediately and shoot her in the head. Strange for her to tell the truth and yet she points her gun at us, in a vain attempt to kill us. Maybe she was programmed to kill us or something, or probably brainwashed herself.
Unfortunately during this time as if on cue, I hear the guards shooting at the locked door, and by now, it's not long at all before they break through. Me and Noire get out our riot shields and G Con 45s as we prepare for their attack.
At least now we only have to deal with these goons and see if we can learn anything else from here. While I am concerned about the fire rate of my weapon, at least Noire's will be excellent, and while she'll probably doing most of the killing here, at least I'll become more useful overtime, and I know my ally to be very understanding.
