Chapter 18: Clearing resort.
Note: Readers please listen to Time Crisis 2 Rumbling the Earth while reading this bit.
I feel as if I'm in another video game right now, as I see a few of the guards pop up only to be shot down by Noire with the occasional one by me, as I hope that I will see some improvement in my weapon reasonably soon.
My adrenaline flows through my body, it's good to fight by Noire's side once again. She looks confident, sexy and badass standing there armed with her G Con 45 and huge riot shield.
"Ahahahahaha….uh…eep." One of the guards say distinctively as we both shoot him in the head, causing him to fall on his bum and for his hat to come off, only to then run away.
Although for some particular reason I recognise that one, I believe him to be a boss. I remember him from Time Crisis 2; his name is Jakov Kalinski though that's all I remember of him, that and his distinctive voice, grunts and laughter.
For some reason most of the guards have pistols. I half expected for there to be a timer of about 40 seconds, as well as some guys in red suits. But that doesn't bother me at all, nor does my gun considering how it's still a one shot one kill, a fairly good reload time, good amount of bullets. It's just the fire rate but that will come eventually.
They keep coming one after another, but eventually after killing a few dozen of them we manage to leave the room. We go along the corridor together with our riot shields up high, shooting more guards as well as knocking Jakov's hat off loads of times, whenever he pops out. More and more guards come in with grenades and other small arms, only for them to meet the same fate by Noire with whatever assistance I can.
The benevolent wise Miss Lastation then realises someone is trying to communicate to her through her radio, and so she listens and is ready to respond.
"Enemy roadblock is destroyed any orders?" The person on the radio says proud to be able to announce the good news.
"Well done guys, I now want you to head over here at Throttle Resort, we need some assistance. Also I want you to get Uni and Parasoul to come here as well." She orders calmly, and in an appreciative tone for their great success.
Throttle Resort. I've never heard of the place, but the name Throttle does sound familiar. I wonder if it's named after Ben Throttle the biker. The biker I believe to be from Full Throttle, a good game that was, and quite challenging too.
She holsters her radio when they respond to her, telling her that they obey.
"They'll be here soon. I wish I can tell you how many of those so called guards are here." Noire speaks to me, sounding quite concerned but still confident that we can deal with them while waiting for reinforcements.
Yeah it does indeed concern me even if to some extent, that we don't know how many of them are there. This is due to the cameras being switched off, as they whoever they are that were watching us can't know we're still alive. My HUD isn't able to tell me either, but we're fine anyway. It's not like they'll overwhelm or defeat us or anything.
"It's OK I understand, at least they won't have any reinforcements, and they shouldn't be too difficult to defeat from what we've seen." I reply back to her.
"Yeah. But we do need to find them all before they can cause any more damage, which hopefully shouldn't be a problem for us CPUs." Noire says chuckling at the remark.
I'm honoured to be called a CPU by her. It does make me wonder if I can transform or not though? And if so, how would it work?
As we engage the enemy, I find it amusing that they just pop out and get shot immediately, by Noire or on occasion myself; even if they could get to shoot at us they'll just hit our shields and because of the strength, the bullets don't even leave a mark. What does surprise me is the large number of them. What baffles me about them is their technique of just popping out, ready to be shot by me and Noire like target practice. They probably would have been formidable, but we just take them out quickly. It's a clearly common theme with this. It's as if I and Noire are doing a time trial, as to how many seconds it takes for us to kill each group.
Furthermore had it not been for my G Con 45 not being used much by me because of opportunity me and Noire would have had a friendly competition as to who can shoot the most targets in the quickest time, which would have been interesting to find out.
Clearly these enemies have no experience. But again like with before I find myself asking myself, why go to all the trouble of setting up a secret base, but not have any decent soldiers? Who are these guards anyway because they don't seem to represent any nation from Gameindsutri? I'll have to discuss it with Noire and see what she thinks.
Eventually, we manage to fight our way towards the lift after dealing with the enemies in the corridor, and clear them out room by room, before going to the lower floors of the accommodation area and do the exact same thing. It's fairly time consuming due to how they try to pin us down, and how we wished to avoid being flanked. As despite our health being high, every shot and hit from them makes a difference. But it's not too difficult for us, especially considering our skills, weaponry and equipment, in contrast to theirs in which they only have the numbers. There are certainly no hazards that could take my 4 lives that's for sure.
We learn from Uni that there are a lot more enemies in the shopping mall who are more deadly, and that Jakos is among them there, and so we go down in the lift but just as we arrive down, Noire switches the electricity off so that it doesn't open, and we can use our magnetic vision to see what's outside the lift and who exactly are we dealing with here.
Uni isn't kidding as outside the lift there are lots of guards with guns pointing at the lift, in fact it feels like their entire garrison has come out to play. They certainly have more serious fire power than before, as there are mounted machine guns nearby, and there is a large armoured truck with heavy armour, and mounted machine guns at the front.
Inside is Jakos, but there's another man in there who's rather large in a business suit and tie. I recognise him to be Adrian Ripburger, the villain from Full Throttle. On top of the truck is a good number of troops that appear to wear bullet proof vests, and carry light machine guns. The place is full of guards armed with portable machine guns, assault rifles, sub machine guns as well as pistols. There are even snipers scattered about in the distance throughout this floor of the shopping complex with their guns aimed at the lift, ready to fire when ready. But despite all those troops I don't seen any other vehicles there, not even any bikes or anti vehicle weapons. I guess all we have to do is wait for our allies to arrive, which shouldn't be too long now.
We hoped that they wouldn't come and try and open the lift with a crowbar or something like that, and just wait for us to come down, and just think that the lift has broken or something. Alas it is not to be as one of them comes with a crowbar to try and pry the lift doors open. We both then back ourselves to the corners furthest away from the lift doors, and point our guns to the door with determination and confidence ready to shoot when he opens it, and to do our best in hiding behind our shields and taking out as many as we can one by one.
He struggles for a while but he manages to get it open, only for us both to shoot him down in the head, and for Noire to switch the lift back on with her fingers and I take the lift up a few floors, while there are lots of bullets coming our way which our shields deflect and block effortlessly.
As we go up in the lift back to the accommodation area, Noire gets on her radio calmly, figuring that this would happen.
"Racers be advised, there are guards in the shopping complex and they're trying to take us down. They also have an armoured truck, heavily armoured with mounted machine guns. Be careful when engaging it, you may engage when you get there." Noire orders calmly and politely.
With astonishing timing both me and my partner hear the engines of hyper cars roaring in the distance, but then just as we reach a floor and the lift opens its doors, there are a few dozen soldiers outside armed with small arms who open fire at us wasting no time in their perceived opportunity to take us out.
We figured this would happen, and so as if we've rehearsed this countless times, we protect ourselves with our shields, knowing that they'll have to reload in a few seconds, and so one by one we shoot them down while they have to reload, with Noire doing the heavy lifting due to the way my weapon works.
They change tactic, and try and come charging towards us, hoping that they can crush us with the walls of the lifts, and the shields sandwiching us. They had no chance as we, well mostly my ally, just shot each one of them as they came charging towards the pair of us. While we had to reload because of the limited bullets in our guns, it was instantaneous in Noire's case, and they got shot before they could even get close thanks to her quick reactions, which must be thanks to her abilities and the practice she does, of aiming, shooting and reloading. After which we use our magnetic visions to see if there's any more enemies in the accommodation area, and find that there aren't any and so we go back down to the shopping complex.
Upon reaching the shopping complex we see lots of dead bodies outside the lift, along with mounted machine guns that turned backwards in an attempt to engage the allied racers who have now arrived bringing much relief but to no avail for our enemy. Standing in front of those dead bodies we see one of our loyal racers armed with an Uzi and riot shield.
As soon as the friendly racer sees us, he gives a salute while holding his sub machine gun in his hand.
"Lady Black Heart, Lord Black Lead I'm so glad to see you both safe." He speaks sounding really pleased to see his leaders in one piece, his body language expresses joy.
"Thanks for the assistance, it's much appreciated. You have all done very well. Do you have any idea on the current situation out there?" My CPU asks him smiling in appreciation of the wonderful work of the racers.
"The good news is that we're able to mop up the enemy troops in the main shopping area, and although we've found snipers and gunners nearby, we've diverted some of our forces to deal with them. They should be dealt within a matter of minutes. Unfortunately though taking out the truck is proving to be fairly difficult, especially as it's in the car park and they're using the pillars and parked cars there to protect it." He reports to us calmly and enthusiastically.
"Excellent, alright engage the enemy in the shops, we'll commandeer your car if you don't mind and we'll deal with the truck." Noire commands politely, and in a confident manner. Having absolute faith that this will all be sorted out really soon.
"Sure no problem, thing is though we actually brought your car here." He speaks in a tone as if to suggest that he hopes that our leader doesn't mind.
Of course, I notice Noire's facial expression suggesting that not only she doesn't mind, she's in fact very grateful. Her face lights up and she smiles greatly. She even flirts a bit with him which he enjoys. I don't mind though, she's a CPU and I know she flirts with her people because both them and her want her to.
"Thanks a lot that's very kind of you. I'll have to personally reward you for that." She replies sounding rather jolly and flirts quite a bit in her voice, suggesting that the reward will be fun and good.
"Thank you very much Lady Black Heart." He replies as if to say he doesn't know what to say, his body language showing much gratitude.
He gives us another salute before turning around and running out. From what I can see he's speaking to who I can only assume to be, the driver of Noire's brilliant beautiful Bugatti. We rush towards the vehicle as well. By the time we're able to see Noire's Bugatti we find the driver and the racer we spoke to charging towards the building across, with their riot shields and Uzis.
"I'll drive Black and you can try and board their vehicle." Noire proposes to me with a smile.
"Good idea. You must be looking forward to getting back into your own car." I speak to her while running, knowing that I sound excited with adrenaline as I huff and puff while speaking to her.
"Oh yeah Black!" Noire replies in an attractive badass tone, now also giving me a smile of a badass.
It's not long before we get in and Noire's back in the driving seat of her own pride and joy, and heads for the car park with great enthusiasm. She drives past all the dead enemy soldiers lying in different positions near mobile stalls and seats outside the shops, which were positioned to protect them from the lift. The positions suggest to me that they were facing our cars from all sides encircling them and due to the speed and skills of the racers struggled immensely to fight them. Now it's just those two leaders, with much smaller numbers of enemies in the shops, but for some reason and I find this to be quite peculiar, somehow I doubt they'll put up much of a fight.
Upon entering the car park where there are quite a few cars and pillars there, there is the armoured truck itself, which is facing our direction. Meanwhile there are a few racer cars, with their Uzis who try and engage the truck, and while their cars are bullet proof, so are the guards. It must be a real battle of attrition, and with the knowledge that we have powerful guns, when the racers hear the Bugatti approach with its booming engine, they toot their horns in approval and cheer as now this battle will be soon drawn to a close, and it will be an inevitable victory in our favour.
The gunners on top of the truck try and shoot us, but Noire just shoots them down one by one, while I assist in killing one of them. As not even their vests have any effect against Noire's powerful bullets, which I know they'll become more powerful as I use the G Con 45 more and more. With them down, Noire immediately does a lap so that we are behind the truck, and quickly drives towards the back, where I quickly jump off and reach the back of the truck. I do this completely effortlessly despite me not having memories of how many times I've done it before, and not knowing the best strategy and tips to bear in mind. No doubt I have done it loads and loads of times, but it's my amnesia that does it.
He constantly steers the truck in an attempt to shake me off, but I manage to hold on due to the vehicle being slow and big, in fact due to the design of the back of the truck, there's no way I could fall off. It makes a nice change to the Humvees where I had to hold on for dear life.
Even if I would certainly survive the fall due to the physics of this universe, I would either have to delay an allied car, and after that I would have to catch up before getting back in the fight, or worse, have to wait for transportation, or walk back and be out of the fight. Due to my abilities being equal to Noire, that could have been a major setback for our allies, but even if not I wouldn't have wanted to let my team down. I'm just so glad it didn't happen despite the opportunities and in fact carried the match through.
Adrian soon stops the vain attempt at getting me off, but he must have sent Jakos to try and kill me instead as I see him climb up on the side. As he pulls himself up I shoot his arm which causes him some temporary pain. Surprisingly that shot was enough to send him back down, where he appears to be hanging on perhaps for dear life.
He tries to climb up again, but I hear multiple gunshots before I no longer see him at all. I can only assume that my CPU has successfully killed him which pleases me considering the fire rate of my G Con 45 even now.
I carefully walk closer holding my arms out for balance, as I move closer and closer to the front making sure that each step I take is correct, but doing my best to be as quick as I dare.
Eventually I am able to see the bonnet of the truck though by that time, I notice Noire jumping on the bonnet after driving around so that she's in front. Though Adrian leans out to try and shoot her off, she shoots an entire magazine from her G Con 45 into his head. He falls out from the truck dead, allowing my CPU to quickly and effortlessly get in the driving seat. Due to the controls it takes her some time, but she manages to stop the truck without the truck crashing. Nice job, it saves the need to pay for damage.
As soon as it stops I rush to the edge of the roof, I see Miss Lastation poke her head out looking upwards to find me. She flings her long thick layered white hair, and she smiles in quite the flirtatious manner, pleasing me very much. I smile back before exchanging appreciative thumbs up with her. It's such a warm feeling to know that we started this battle together, and finished it together. I enjoy working with her; she's so talented and cool, yet kind and wise. It's a privilege that she's the most attractive goddess, and it's an awesome honour that we are related and we see each other a lot, along with of course the bonding that we have.
I feel a lot better this time than in the previous battle, as this time we have actually fought a significantly guiltier enemy, though we don't really know who they are, and I'd like to know as I think that would help in our fight for this world. Hopefully we'll have put an end to their presence in Lastation, though it does concern me that they were here in the first place.
But, even if this battle has been won, I need to find a way of convincing my demons that Noire is innocent. As I look at her with so much happiness enjoying her company massively, I can't help but feel worried about whether I'll be able to prove her innocence, whether we can keep our nation that's she worked so hard to build and ensure it works for all and is prosperous alive. She is alive, she is well and she is my ally, but due to our enemies will it be a matter of time before it's tragically no longer the case?
Conveniently and thankfully one of the Lastation drivers who I know to be called Tanner from his costume and appearance who I remember from the Driver series, comes out rushing, presumably to speak to Noire. Upon hearing him sprint she turns around getting out of the truck, while I myself jump down in which I am not hurt thanks to my skills in landing perfectly.
"Be advised we have found Kratos but his condition concerns me, he wishes to see you Lady Black Heart." He reports to her calmly.
"That's odd, Jacqueline never mentioned him. Then again we didn't ask her if there were any prisoners." I say to Noire calmly. It does concern me to know that not only is there a prisoner, but it is Kratos, though at least he won't be a prisoner for long.
"She probably knew about him, but thought it best not to say for the sake of her mysterious organisation. Besides we know where he is now." Noire explains to me sharing the same tone as me along with body language.
She then looks at Tanner with an appreciative smile.
"Thank you very much Tanner. Please take us to him." Noire asks politely and sounding grateful.
The character from driver gives a salute to her and me, before leading us through a building, only to then lead us through a restaurant. It's in black but looks nice and modern full of long tables and plenty of comfortable chairs. I wonder what cuisine they used to do there. Even though it's abandoned it still looks nice, as there's pictures of various Lastation stuff such as Noire, Uni as well as famous PlayStation characters and different photos of the jungle nearby, which includes trees, plants and animals that live there. He then leads us to a kitchen where the unfortunate prisoner Kratos is at.
He is a man with very white skin. His only item of clothing is white underwear, but he has a goatee beard though that's the only part of his body that has hair. On his body is what appears to be a red spiral, which is at his left shoulder. He looks rather badly tortured, cuts are all over his body, he is tied up by metal chains really tight and his arms are being stretched a little bit by them.
After looking at him I remember him being from the series called God of War, though I've never really played it, I just know that he is the main playable character in a place that my amnesia prevents me from knowing.
He is conscious but he looks like he is in so much pain. I can see his wrists are covered in blood and he's covered in bruises as well. I can't begin to imagine what he has went through. It must have been dreadful to say the very least.
"Please don't undo these chains Lady Black Heart." Kratos warns as he moans in pain, barely able to speak.
I notice an aura around him. I get the feeling he has been mind-controlled only he is trying to fight it, and my HUD recognises him to be friendly.
"I have been brain washed into attacking anything that supports Lastation. This means that if I am released from these cursed chains, I'll be forced into attacking you. My body is being controlled by someone else, only my mind is free from their control." He pleads with much desperation in his voice.
"It's OK; we need to take you back to PS3 City. From what you said I'll have to knock you out, but don't worry, it'll be by Lastation chloroform, capable of putting people to sleep instantly with no negative side effects at all. We'll sort this out don't worry. You will be serving me once again as you have always desired." Noire reassures him, she places her hand on his shoulder, her gentle massaging able to relax him a little and help reduce his pain a fair amount, and clean up his wounds.
Seeing this upsets the both of us especially Noire, and I can tell from her body language that she is deeply grieved by the fact that there is such suffering in this world caused by others, and she wishes that she could do more to end it. It does make me wonder what he's doing in Lastation, as well as more importantly how did someone as mighty as him get tortured so badly.
Noire then manages to knock him out by using the chloroform on him. Although it ends his suffering for now, this brings us little comfort as we need to patch him up, and more importantly, we need to find a way of curing his brainwashing.
As if on cue another racer who I recognise to be Jones, again from the Driver series comes in afterwards.
"Lady Black Heart the resort is secure. The only thing we have found are some fat boy motorcycles outside, a couple of Lorries, as well as some biker jackets. We've checked the vehicles and they are fine to use." He reports calmly in his distinctive voice.
He passes one of the jackets to Noire and another one to me, we both put them on quickly, and they feel comfortable.
"Thank you very much, much appreciated. Did you find any equipment, anything of theirs?" Noire asks him with much curiosity in her voice.
"Nothing, not a trace, we have no way of knowing who those guys were unfortunately." He replies sounding a bit sad when he said unfortunately.
"It's OK; we'll take the computer in Jacqueline's room as well as Kratos in the lorry. Let's take the bikes too, I fancy going on a bike ride in honour of Ben Throttle." Noire says cheering Jones up and her body language reassures him well.
We all agree and as if on cue Uni and Parasoul come into the kitchen. The thing is while Uni is in her HDD form and Parasoul is in her default outfit, I notice that they're both wearing exactly the same jackets as us. We smile at each other happily, pleased to see one another.
"Ah good to see you both, thank you very much for coming." Noire greets them with her hands held together, and with a huge smile.
"You're welcome; I'm pleased that you're alright my older sister and brother. I'm proud of you both for fighting and ultimately defeating that enemy and that jerk." Uni replies sounding rather happy and proud of us.
"Thank you, your shot was amazing my young sister. Say would you two like to go on a bike ride back to PS3 City?" Noire proposes her body language expressing how much she would love to do this.
They all nodded yes and smiled with much enthusiasm. With this proposal accepted we carefully remove Kratos from the wall, and gently carry him from out of the restaurant. I notice that Noire is carrying the most of his weight, and it doesn't seem to affect her in the slightest. I do wonder whether her being a goddess means she is very strong. I notice how despite the pain, the God of War is sleeping without being in any pain whatsoever. Eventually we reach outside where by now the motorbikes, the lorry and the rest of our sports cars are all waiting for us outside, and are pleased to triumph once again.
We carefully carry him into the lorry where he's tied up again, though this time we made sure the chains would be such that he was held in place, but the chains wouldn't dig in and cause agonising pain for the poor guy. After securing him in which didn't take long, Me, Noire, Parasoul and Uni get on the motorbikes that are at the front of our convoy. On closer inspection, I find that they're made from Corley Motors, and I notice on the back of one of the biker jackets that the jackets once belonged to the Polecats, which I find curious and nice and appropriate.
Upon sitting on the bikes I find that Uni sits to the left of the car, then Noire then me, then Parasoul. We all put on our shades on in sync with each other, before driving off with the cars escorting the lorry. And so we leave the resort, next stop our capitol metropolis: PS3 City. I'm confident it will be a fun ride after what we've just been through.
Note: Readers please listen to Full Throttle Born Bad while reading this bit.
I enjoy riding with my sisters, my ladies as both Noire and Parasoul are sat next to me on either side. Their biker jackets suit them so well and make them look so hot, especially with the rest of their appearance. I love the wind blowing on our hairs as it makes Noire's beautiful massively super long white hair, flow in the wind as well as Paraosul's long red hair, as it lifts them up like a large beautiful flag with it being blown all over the place. They look as though they're born to be bikers; I think it suits them both so well.
I'm certainly enjoying the thrill of being on a bike, I mean I understand why some people enjoy being on a motorcycle. They look so cool as these ones have a lot of large exhausts sticking out of the back of them. Furthermore, the clothes to go with it make you look so badass and cool. Not only that but there is also the feel of the wind, the warm sun, the cool breeze and being in control of such a quick vehicle with great acceleration. Then there's the noise of the engine being nice too with its noise surrounding me.
I really enjoy the view of the jungle too, and I feel I have a better opportunity to appreciate it to see the features and exact appearances of the parts of it now. It's so nice to know, that there are so much land dedicated to nature and wildlife for them to thrive and it's so beautiful too, and seeing the way the animals interact with each other is nice too, even creatures who I'd expect to conflict with one another or eat them.
It pleases me so much to know that Noire would never destroy the jungle for any reason what so ever. If anything she'd do what she can to make it even more spectacular for us and for them. It's so beautiful to see some of the exotic trees, plants and fruit that have beautiful unique appearances and features, and even appear to look like Lastation culture. Some of the things I see remind me of the photos I've seen in the restaurant. It's very picturesque.
While I'm watching the long road, enjoying the fact that the wind blowing on my face is truly intense, as well as seeing that the beautiful spectacular jungle is endless, and there even being bandicoots both in animal forms and more humanoid forms like Crash and Coco with clothes on there. Along with noticing the sky being cloudless and blue and really liking the engines of the bikers and hyper cars roar, I talk to Noire as I have a few things on my mind that I wish to discuss.
"Going on a bike ride together is so much fun Noire. I love how you make everything we do so entertaining, and I think it's nice how you do this in honour of Ben Throttle. But who is he?" I ask loudly and politely speaking over the noise.
"Ben Throttle was born in Lastation. He used to work as a mechanic and in his spare time, he used to ride his motorcycle a lot with his group of friends. They were once known as the Polecats and had a large fan base due to their tricks and skills. I was impressed with their skills on their bikes so much, I spoke to them and wondered if they liked to join the military. The idea being so they can form the first biker squadron to go with the racers, since they'd be useful for hit and run attacks and can weave through smaller spaces.
They agreed and they became elite biker soldiers. The Polecats also took part in fun exciting events just like the racers. They became so rich from the events that they decided to buy the resort, which became known as Throttle Resort and this attracted even more people to this place as a result of the prestige. This became their home and they also made it look even more decent. Unfortunately they had to abandon it due to the 5th generation console war, as they fought bravely for our nation." Noire explains to me with much pride in this group of bikers.
"He's a nice person as well; I used to go biking with him and his friends a lot, and had fun times." Uni adds in reminiscence.
Hmmm how interesting. I remember Ben Throttle being a biker from Full Throttle, and from what I can remember he was a person having to deal with a villain, who I think wanted bikers to disappear, but it's been a long time since I played it. It is interesting how I remember Adrian being the villain Ben had to deal with, and how he would be in that very base hmmm. Quite the coincidence or maybe that was the intention all along. After that it is then that I wonder about Kratos as I'm curious to know what his story in Lastation is.
"What about Kratos?" I ask Noire, curious to know, considering how I recognise him to be such a famous character, and could be considered a mascot of PlayStation, along with how we've encountered him here.
"He was also born in Lastation, his father died in Planeptune due to a vicious assault by one nasty Plutia. His mother Callisto fled to Lastation due to the terrors that happened in Planeptune. Kratos wanted revenge so as soon as he was old enough, he trained very hard and climbed the ranks of the Lastation military very quickly. He's very strong and I was so impressed with him that I met him personally. We did some stuff together and had a good relationship.
We both eventually fell in love having a lot of respect for each other. At one point he became more powerful even having great strength and agility, like that of a god or a goddess or a gamer like yourself. I have reason to believe that it could be due to me being a goddess having special faith in him, as well as Kratos being someone special. He was powerful to begin with but my faith in him increased it dramatically.
Eventually I learned about what Plutia did to his dad, so I sent him there to kill or capture her. Unfortunately I've lost contact with him as soon as he arrived, for reasons I don't know. After not hearing from him for a while, I have assumed the worst and that he has been killed or captured himself. I've tried to send people over there to find out what happened to him, but they could find nothing at all. Our nation mourned his loss; in fact we mourn all of the dead Lastation soldiers who have died protecting this nation. And it brings me such sadness to know a good number of them have, all of them loyal and honourable.
I'm relieved to know that Kratos is still alive. Although it is a real shame that he's in this mind controlled state, I also feel a lot of guilt because I feel responsible sending him out, just as I have for so many others. It really stresses how no matter how hard I try, there's always suffering. I wish the suffering of the people in the world can end." Noire responds to me sounding quite frustrated and depressed, and her body languages expresses the same too.
Interesting how bad Plutia is here just as I remember in the series, maybe even worse. What did she do and how many people did she do such stuff too? Whatever it is she needs to be punished, but it's just so tragic that it's not practical right now.
"It's OK Noire, you didn't know, you've done your best as usual. I'm sure he isn't mad at you." Uni reassures her trying to comfort her which Miss Lastation appreciates.
"Thanks, he certainly wants revenge on Plutia, and it's perfectly justifiable as we do too. I just can't begin to imagine what she did to him, knowing what she is capable of." Noire replies to Uni still depressed in the knowledge of that rotten witch still being free, but appreciative of the reassurance.
I find it baffling that Kratos will lash out and kill Noire, even though he says he doesn't want to. I understand he's brain washed but it's an odd type of brain wash. Then again what about ours? Maybe something or someone's controlling his body, but they can't control his head due to how strong he is both in strength and in will.
"At least he's back with us now and he'll be able to tell us what happened. Not to mention as long as he remains in chains he'll be our friend. We need to break the brain washing though. He's a very good soldier and I hate seeing him like this, it brings me so much grief and pain especially since this is wide spread. He'll have to go to prison for security purposes but I'll try and make him feel as comfortable as possible. Yet I feel as though I'm treating him like a prisoner, even though he hasn't done anything wrong." Noire finishes off, she then starts getting really depressed, feeling terrible for him, feeling responsible for him, and I can sense the Lastation CPU trying not to cry.
"I'm sure he'll understand, you just need to keep him from uncontrollably lashing out. I'm confident that it won't be long and we can win and avenge all of this." Uni reassures her with an optimistic smile.
"What baffles me is if he's "programmed" to attack anything Lastation, why was he kept in chains, why wasn't he released in Lastation?" I ask Noire completely confused about all this.
"I'm unsure. It's completely illogical though maybe there is some specific reason here, perhaps it's the way they operate. One thing for sure is that his brain washing seems more severe than for us. We need to find out exactly how he got brainwashed, and study this mind control more." She replies to me with determination and calm in her voice.
"Agreed, it's a good thing that we found him though, or it could be that they wanted us to find him, in which why would that be if not for the purpose of taunting. It's too bad we still don't know much about those guys who tried to ambush us. They must be from the same place as me, but why do they appear to be allies with Leanbox and Neutralland?" I ask Noire sounding rather puzzled with all this, completely in the dark about these events taking please.
"I vaguely remember Jacqueline, but all I know is that she wasn't a nice person at all. And she appeared to be in charge of that brain washing, but she genuinely didn't know much at all." She replies to me, expressing the same emotions.
"Everything is so secretive, the only lead we have is with Nisa in Leanbox. You know what? We need to end this war between Vert and Blanc ASAP, then we can turn our attention to Neutralland. We need to know, how did those Lastation soldiers you sent out vanish? Although first we need to make sure that our brain washing does not take over us. That's our number one priority." I suggest to them calmly with confidence, trying to rationalise all this so that these issues can be sorted.
Noire and Uni nod in agreement. After which Parasoul then mentions something:
"It's odd that the enemy forces appear to be weak, ever since Black has come. Why go to all the trouble to invade but not ensure their attacks can succeed? Why attack PS3 City with only infantry? Why ambush with only a dozen vehicles? And why have a secret base but with no decent guards?" She asks with much curiosity, I can sense the frustration from her face and body language with the lack of logic. Especially with how I remember Parasoul being a large fan of logic.
"Either it's something to do with me or they have underestimated us, or there could be another explanation all together." I reply with no certainty in my voice at all.
Yeah like the fact that I could be in a big video game, and I'm at the beginning where it's all easy, but it probably won't be long before it gets more and more challenging, and will be harder and harder to succeed. I only hope that it won't become impossible even if it's difficult.
"I dunno. I'm pleased Lastation along with us all are still one in piece. I owe some of that to you Black." Noire speaks sounding very appreciative of me with a big smile.
We all nod in agreement, before we then do a wheelie with our motorbikes as we drive closer and closer to PS3 City. We then leave the jungle only for us all to be able to see the various black skyscrapers on the horizon, and I can still feel the wind blowing on my face. We're nearly home, our beautiful high tech prosperous home.
