Author's Note: Again, I apologize for the mistakes in the last two previous one-shots, but I went back and edited them to fix up a few things before posting this new one.
This has been a struggle to do before I reach the mini-stories I wanted to write but felt that it was still too early to do yet.
Summary of Story 10: When Kairi signs up for a movie-production contest judged by her favorite actor, she attempts to make a movie with Sonic and the others including Gaiver playing the roles based on a made-up fairy tale.
I don't own Sonic the Hedgehog. All rights belong to Sega. I only own the OCs.
Sonic The Movie.
In the early night on Seaside Island, it has been two days after Gaiver the Gorilla was finally cured from being a giant, yet due to the mysterious liquid within the fruits of Galandia, he can now grow and shrink from giant size to normal at will yet he, Sonic and the rest of the group agreed to keep it a secret and instead insisted that it was a wishing stone that fell from the sky that can only grant a wish once every a hundred years, also covering up the reason why Knuckles was around.
Fortunately everybody believed them. Including the dim-witted Argo who, having seen Gaiver shrink back to normal, was very disappointed and instead walked away sulking.
As of now, the group of friends sat in the only restaurant there was in the Unnamed Village, the Meh Burger, having dinner while they and the other costumers watched TV until a commercial break kicked in and breaking news flashed on the screen, alerting them and the rest of the crowd.
"In Breaking Entertainment News, the famous Director Jude Claws, who directed the Sci-Fi/Fantasy flick, "Terror of the Mutant-Snails" is coming to host the Seaside Island Film Contest in the next week and anybody with skills even at home videos can enter. The winner will be given a Movie Award by Jude himself." A male news reporter spoke on the screen, getting everybody's attention.
"Director Jude Claws?" Sun asked, blinking in surprise, never having heard of that guy before.
"I've seen that movie he made." Manny on the other hand, sweat dropped uneasily as he felt a flash of bad memories form, making him shiver. "It made me have nightmares for a week and paranoid over normal snails."
'Try being a Werehog and then come and talk to me.' The orange hedgehog deadpanned in his thoughts, giving the green hedgehog a dry look.
"Oh my gosh! The Director Jude Claws is coming here!?" Kairi exclaimed excitedly all of the sudden, startling Sonic, Tails, Amy, Knuckles, Sun, and even Gaiver who leaned back over the cream-yellow hedgehog's outburst, while Star, Manny and Sophia, realizing what this meant, sighed knowingly. "I've always wanted to meet him! He's my hero! My Idol! To think that he's coming here! Here! On Seaside Island!"
As the young girl jumped up and down squealing, her friends sweat dropped before Sonic asked incredulously. "Is she really that big a fan of some guy who makes horror movies?"
"Not really." Star giggled sheepishly. "You see, besides horror movies, Director Claws has been making all kinds of themes and Kairi's favorites are the fantasy type ones with his own personal spin of modern and sci-fi. She's his number 1 fan."
"Better that than Eggman having 2 crazy fans." The former Werehog sighed, feeling a bit relieved but finding this to be a little too much at the same time. Seriously, people go crazy over movies?
"Uh, Kai'? People are staring at you like you've been brain-washed by aliens." The young squirrel girl spoke up to her best friend who, pausing in her excitement and realized what she was right with other people gazing at the group's table, sat down sheepishly.
"S-sorry. It's just, I'm so excited I've been wanting to make my own film and impress him for a long time. But I keep getting side-tracked and, well, I haven't even began producing my own home-movie yet." Kairi shrugged in embarrassment.
"Huh?" The rest of the group gaped at her in shock and surprise.
"Oh, wow! You were planning on making your own movie?" Amy asked in delight, her hands clasped together.
The other female hedgehog nodded. "Mm-hm. I've already written the story and the script, but that took me at least four months each. It's more of a home-work sort of thing so that one day I would enter a movie-production contest on the mainland. I even tried sharing my ideas when the famous actress Lindsey Fair Thorndyke came over two years ago, but, well, the ghost incident happened."
Hear this made Sonic and Tails flinch before they shared an uneasy glance, memories of their, Amy, Chris, Cream and Cheese, Ella, and Manny's adventure encountering ghosts came back to them instantly. Clearly the timing of the Meroke Crystal dying pretty much ruined Kairi's chances in fufilling her dream in making her own movie.
"What was this movie you planned on making?" Gaiver asked, curiously.
"I'd tell you, but I don't wanna give out any spoilers to everybody else around." Kairi winked playfully at the Mobian Gorilla, before before clutching her fists together. "Maybe now is the best time to finally make that movie, even with paper puppets or something."
"Why paper puppets?" Knuckles asked, dumbfounded.
"Well, it's kinda similar to the movies I've watched: I'll give you a clue. It's part fantasy, adventure, action, romance, and a tad bit of sci-fi." The young girl explained.
"I like the adventure and action parts." Sonic smirked after he whistled.
"Me too, and what also makes it more fun is the fantasy and romance parts." Amy agreed.
"The sci-fi part, no matter how little, sounds very interesting." Tails added.
"Yeah, except, I didn't even have time on what the characters would look like even in sketches and making paper puppets without messing up takes time consuming. I'd ask for help, but a lot people are always so busy and I can't find the right time for it either." Kairi shrugged sadly.
Feeling sorry for their friend despite that none of them had any acting experience, Sonic and the others shared glances before they made up their minds and nodded. Plus they had all the time in the world and who knows? Maybe making a movie together could actually be fun. Three of them had seen movie productions but never took part.
"Why make it a paper-puppet movie when you can make it into a live-action movie?" Sonic suggested, smiling which confused the yellow hedgehog. "We'll help ya' out, Kai'. Just say the word and your movie will be all set!"
"I've always wanted to act in a movie, and this could be really fun." Amy said happily.
"I can make the parts we need for your film. You can count on that." Tails agreed.
"I'm not a fan for acting or movies as much, but I can help as a developer or whatever." Knuckles stated.
"I can help you as well, Kairi. If you want me to." Gaiver kindly offered, and soon Manny, Star, Sophia, Star, and even Sun, reluctant since he didn't want to even act in the movie, all made their offers as well, much to Kairi's amazement as her heart fluttered with butterflies, and her eyes sparkled in excitement.
All of her friends were offering to help her. Finally, after a long time trying and failing to make even a paper movie, the yellow hedgehog's wish was coming true.
"Thank you, guys! You're the best!" Kairi beamed happily, and the group shared laughed even though Knuckles and Sun were pretty uneasy over this.
The next day, Kairi invited her friends to her house as they all gathered in the nice cosy looking living room, where she handed out the movie summary and script pages with dialogue written down and all, both titled, "The Golden Heart Princess" which told the story of how a beautiful Princess with the magic power of a golden heart was kidnapped by the evil Warlock named Brutus who sought out the power, a brave adventurer who sets out to rescue her alongside his companion who guides him along the way under the request of the King and Queen, and that their enemy had a giant henchman who is said to be put under an evil spell needing to be broken.
"Wow...I like the adventure parts. But the romance part...is kinda a little too much, if you ask me." Sonic remarked, fighting off the urge to cringe as he knew if he played the part as the hero, who is quite adventurous, optimistic and brave, not to mention noble and heroic which mirrored his own personality, no doubt Amy would want to play the Princess part.
"I love how the story ended. It's so beautiful, fun and romantic." Amy sniffled, wiping away a tear that threatened to escape from her jade green eyes.
"The companion is quite unique. I like his thinking." Tails said smiling, swishing his namesakes in excitement.
"This is such a wonderful story, I'm surprised you haven't turned this into a novel yet, Kairi." Star remarked, amazed at just how well written the summary and the script were.
"It's almost like it's a real thing. I can read and write, but I can't make a story to save my life." Knuckles admitted, thoroughly impressed.
"I agree. I can just picture it in my head already." Sun smirked, rubbing his chin thoughtfully.
"So can I. This will make an excellent movie, and Star is right. It would make a great book as well." Gaiver nodded, liking how this was turning out.
"That's Kairi for ya'. I keep telling her that she should start off as an author first since she's got great imagination!" Sophia smirked proudly, which made her best friend blush in embarrassment.
"Well, now that we know what the movie's gonna be like, any idea who's gonna play the parts?" Manny asked, already excited about this.
Before Kairi could think of who should play the parts, Sophia, already thinking ahead, stood up and declared. "I know just the right people! Sonic will be the hero, Tails will be his companion, Amy will be the Golden Princess, Sun and Star will be the King and Queen, Kairi will be the director, Knuckles will play the villain, and finally, Gaiver, for easier access instead of building a hologram or stuff like that, will be the henchman!"
"HUH!?" Everybody else exclaimed in disbelief and pure shock...and in Sonic's case due to Amy having the lead role, horror since that meant...Oh, Chaos, he would have to kiss her!
"Say what!?" Sonic cried out, his eyes widening. Sure he'd love to play the hero, but...he cared for Amy as a friend, not a girlfriend.
"That's a great idea, Sophia! I love it!" Amy squealed excitedly with her eyes sparkling. The very thought of playing a lead role with her 'dearly beloved' who would be her dashing hero coming to her rescue just like in the previous times in real life, her heart leaped in excitement.
Maybe she will get her actual true love's first kiss!
"Awwww...I wanted to be in the movie." Manny complained, slumping.
"Hey, how come I get to be the bad guy?" Knuckles protested, glaring at the squirrel with his arms folded.
"Well, we can't have too many hedgehogs in the movie, now can we?" Sophia shrugged, before asking dully. "Unless you wanna ask Argo to play the role as Brutus and ruin everything?"
That made everybody flinch in horror over the thought of asking the thief to play the role as Brutus, and shuddered with their skins crawling, with the hero of Mobius groaning. "Yuck! Asking that weird guy so he can take all the credit? No thanks!"
"Well...in a way, I suppose it does make sense, if you guys don't mind." Kairi said, a little uncomfortably. She was about to make a suggestion for either herself or Star to play the lead Princess role, but seeing the excited look on Amy's face made her reconsider.
Though she didn't think that Sonic would that close to her. He did care for the pink hedgehog as a friend and a sister, but from what the yellow hedgehog could tell, he didn't really seem to be the romantic type of guy.
With some slight of protests and disagreements, everyone eventually came to agree with Sophia's idea, and at Gaiver's agreement, decided to use his giant home which he would use for emergencies now that he can live in a normal-sized house, as the studio along with the environment of the jungle surrounding it. Thanks to Tails' quick ideas of lighting and everyone's aid and teamwork in setting up the movie sets, designing the backgrounds of a castle, a cave, a throne room, the special effects, and creating the costumes with Kairi's amazing sewing skills, it wasn't long before everything was all set and ready to go.
Next up it was rehearsing their lines and how their roles would be like with the cream-yellow hedgehog girl directing them. Thanks to his adventures in Camelot mere a couple of months ago, Sonic's new swordsmanship skills paid off already even though the sword he was using was made of plastic so it wouldn't do any real harm. Knuckles messed a few times, but he slowly got the hang of being the villain of the story, as did Gaiver who used his giant form to help make things easier.
Now they were ready to make the full scenes, with Sonic, Tails, Amy, Knuckles, Sun, Star, and Gaiver putting on their costumes. Sonic wore a light-blue tunic that had pretty patterns, a matching hat which fitted his quills very nicely, light-brown leather boots and a belt which held his fake sword.(1)
Tails wore a green simple tunic with dark boots, carrying a shoulder sack and a book. Amy was wearing a beautiful gold silky long Princess dress with puffy sleeves and long gloves, with a jeweled tiara on her head.
Knuckles was now wearing a black tunic with a long cloak and a fake medival wooden staff, and metal gaunlets to hide his boxing-like gloves(though it felt a little uncomfortable for him, but he was getting used to it), with make-up lining on his muzzle to give him a more 'evil' look to his character and fake black long-hair wig to hide his dreadlocks. Sun wore a deep red and golden noble clothing of a king with a fake crown on his head, and Star was wearing a beautiful light-blue long-sleeved dress with a golden tiara on her head.
Gaiver in the meantime wore a simple dark brown tunic with false chains and leather gloves with an eye-patch over his left eye.
"Well, how do we look?" Sonic asked, once he and his friends stood ready with their costumes on. He had to admit while he didn't wear much in the way of clothing and the only thing he kept on were his white gloves, as did Tails, his outfit felt pretty comfortable.
"You guys look fantastic!" Kairi beamed happily.
"Lookin' good, guys!" Manny grinned, giving the other guys a thumbs up.
"Wow, you all look like the real deal! Those costumes suit you." Sophia remarked in agreement.
"I feel like a Princess wearing this dress!" Amy said excitedly, twirling around slowly in her costume, and her 'boyfriend' couldn't help but gaze at her. Seeing the pink hedgehog in a dress reminded him of Nimue in Camelot, only somehow the golden dress suited the thirteen year old perfectly.
As much as Sonic felt a little uneasy to admit it, he couldn't help but smile at just how beautiful his self-proclaimed girlfriend really looked. It warmed his heart for some reason that he unintentionally blushed before flinching when Amy then turned to face him and approached lovingly.
"With this dress, now you can tell me just how pretty I look." The pink hedgehog smiled, and gently grasped the blue hedgehog's hands which made Sonic lean back a little, sweating nervously. "I know, you're too speechless to say anything, aren't you?"
"Um, Amy? Maybe you should hold that off for the movie? We've only got three days left before the contest." Tails suggested awkwardly with a sweat drop, attempting to try and come to his big brother's rescue.
"I feel hot in this costume." Knuckles stated, tugging at his oufit's collar. "Now I remember why I don't wear clothes besides my gloves and shoes."
"Does this crown make my head look big?" Sun asked awkwardly, adjusting the fake hat on his head.
"It looks just fine, Sun." Star reassured warmly, thinking just how handsome the orange hedgehog really looked in his outfit.
"I HAVEN'T WARN A COSTUME SINCE THE SLUMBER PARTY SINCE I WAS TEN YEARS OLD." Gaiver, in his giant form and having agreed to Sophia's idea and Kairi's request, admitted while adjusting his eye-patch.
"So, is everybody ready to get started?" Kairi asked hopefully once her friends finished admiring their outfits.
"Yep! Let's do this." Sonic was the first to answer, though he was still nervous about his part in rescuing 'Princess Amy' in the movie and...pretending to declare his true love for her.
He just hoped he didn't have to kiss her for real.
The next couple of days passed as Sonic and his friends did their roles for the movie, even though there were a few mishaps and re-doings, finally they completed all of the scenes and needless to say despite the ending had the cobalt hero really cringing but chose to ignore it while hoping it would get too embarrassed, Kairi and Tails worked on finishing up by adding in the music thanks to the modern technology, special effects and before they knew it the movie was complete.
Now they were in the outdoor theater set up for the contest with the man himself, Director Jude Claws who was a Mobian Eagle in white feathers, and blue eyes wearing a leather brown coat with a tie standing on the stage with the host, a Mobian Monkey named Entertainment Chimp, who was the cousin of the comedian Comedy Chimp.
The latest contestant was Sir Argo who, against everybody's wishes, was viewing his own movie, confident that he would win...which was nothing more than a documentary of his boring life of thieving and creepy decorations.
"And thus this is how the great life of the Fabulous Sir Argo Barry Tobrokin goes on and one day he will pass on his Theme Park Legacy to the cute little Argo Jr.! And we all lived happily Theme Paker After!" Argo's voice narrated as the recording of himself as well as two robots which reminded Sonic, Tails, Amy, Knuckles and Sun of Orbot and Cubot, one named Hexbot who was shaped like a hexagon, his head and hands painted in a pastel green, and the other was...Erm, well, the other one's head was archway-shaped named Elbot(because Argo couldn't figure out what else to call him), head and hands coloured in light-sky blue, ran into the sunset with the big words "THE END" flashed on the screen.
By this time, Argo stepped on stage the movie ended and spread his arms out expecting to have a loud applaud. "Wasn't that such a beautiful life-story? Who is the favorite movie now, ladies and gentlemen?"
Awkward silence, with crickets chirping in the background as everyone stared up at the Eggman-Wanna-Be with dull, bored and deadpanned expressions, before the crowd all shared glances.
"Everybody's a critic." The Infamous Thief grumbled, slumping in disappointment as he sulked, walking off the stage as Entertainment Chimp stepped up.
"Ahem, well, that was...a rather unusual Entry, folks." The Monkey remarked awkwardly after clearing is throat, before announcing. "And now, for contestant Number 23: The romantic, adventurous, action-packed, fairy-tale and slight sci-fi, "The Golden Heart Princess", directed and narrated by Kairi the Hedgehog, produced by her friends Miles "Tails" Prower, Sophia Squirrel and Manfred Milestone, and starring the hero of Mobius, Sonic the Hedgehog, the Hammer-Wielding but beautiful Amy Rose, the tough and strong Knuckles the Echidna, the gentle ape and kind citizen Gaiver the Gorilla, the mysterious Sun the Hedgehog, and the lovely archerlogest Staria Amantha!"
"Here we go." Sonic whispered with a grin, as the crowd applauded while he and his friends couldn't wait as they decided to watch the movie on the big day so that they wouldn't get spoiled.
The movie then began with the gorgeous title of Kairi's movie opening up, and it began with a beautiful field with a fantastic castle, Flickies chirping and the cream-yellow hedgehog's voice could be heard in the background. "Once upon a time, in a beautiful land known as the Heart Kingdom, there lived a kindly but firm King Oswald, his beautiful and gentle Queen Oliva, and their beautifull daughter, Princess Aurora, who had a heart so pure it was magically golden, earning her the wonderful title the Golden Heart Princess."
In the movie, Amy, in her character as Princess Aurora, was humming to herself as she was in the Castle's huge yard full of flowers.
"That's me! That's me!" Amy whispered excitedly, bouncing up and down in her seat, her hands brought up together with her eyes sparkling. 'Wow! I look so beautiful in that costume!'
"Peace dominated the land, and everyone was happy. But then one day, it came to a shattering end, when a dark shadow loomed over castle, as a great evil sought the power of the golden heart herself." Kairi's voice continued to narrate, as on screen, as she had said, a huge shadow loomed over and 'Aurora' looked up to see what was going on, and the scene quickly changed to Sun and Star's characters, who were near by and about to approach their daughter, did the same and all three of them gasped in horror.
The audience gasped as black figure appearing in dark magic emerged, revealing to be Knuckles in his role, the evil Warlock Brutus who laughed 'evilly', standing on a makeshift cloud with a giant figure, Gaiver's character the henchman, behind him and had captured the Princess who screamed in fright.
"Ahhh! W-What are you doing!? L-Let me go!" 'Aurora' screamed fearfully, trapped in the cloud clutches created by the evil sorcerer who lured her onto his platform, and grasped her by the arm.
"Ah ha ha ha ha! At last, the Golden Heart child is finally mine!" 'Brutus' declared, grinning wickedly.
'Do I really look that scary like that?' Knuckles thought to himself, a little bit scared. If that's how he looked, no wonder Eggman and the Chaotix, even Espio, was terrified of his anger issues sometimes.
"W-Who are you?" The captured Princess asked, shivering.
"My dear, do not be afraid. Very soon your heart will grant me ultimate power...and you, a beautiful flower more precious than gold, will become my Queen of the entire world." The evil Warlock responded, and it wasn't long before he and his henchmen, who held 'King Oswald' and 'Queen Oliva' in his grasp before dropping them to the ground, turned and vanished.
"Aurora! No!" The King, wincing in agony with his beloved wife beginning to cry in despair and their beautiful little girl reaching out for them pleadingly, but by then it was already too late, and the audience, even Sonic and his friends, felt their hearts race at the intense beginning of the movie.
"As the King and his Queen could only watch in despair of their daughter being captured by the evil and ruthless Warlock Brutus, who for years sought the child of the Golden Heart to rule the world, they spared no time in summoning their finest men to rescue the Princess. But none were able to overcome the mighty force of the henchmen. Yet hope was not lost, as they were foretold of a prophecy that only one, a brave young man with a heart like Princess Aurora's in kindness, would brave the dangers to defeat Brutus, rescue their only child and save the land. They waited for many days, but not one came...Until, one day, a young adventurer and his companion arrived." Kairi's voice narrated, while scenes showed the events that happened in the aftermath.
Then the scene opened up to a jungle setting, and a big monster about the size of a Mobian Gorilla(a robot designed by Tails and Kairi) appeared, before it was knocked down and slayed by the appearance of the main hero: Sonic in his character's role, the brave adventurer who held his trademark smirk as the young hero put away his sword.
"That's you, Sonic!" Amy squealed softly.
"Gotta admit, I look pretty good in that costume." Sonic whispered smirking, rubbing his nose. Finally, his character appeared and his smile grew when Tails' character, the adventurer's companion, arrived.
"Boy, there sure are a lot of monsters around." Tails' character, named Timonthy, remarked while looking around in deep concern as he and the adventurer, proud of his own handywork, began to walk away deeper into the 'forest' jungle.
"I agree." Said the Adventurer, placing his hands on his hips. "Do you think the stories of the evil sorcerer Brutus could be true? I have never seen so many in my life before."
"It's highly possible. I'm more concerned about what will happen if more powerful and dangerous monsters could appear. The Sorcerer Brutus is said to be the most evil of the whole land-no, the whole entire world." Timonthy nodded, lowering his gaze in worry.
The Adventurer smirked and placed a hand onto his friend's shoulder, and said with great bravery and confidence. "I'm sure something will be figured out, Timonthy. Besides, no monster shall come and defeat me! I can handle them no matter how many there are."
'Heh heh...Definitely my kind of guy, alright. Best part is, I played as him!' The hero of Mobius though to himself. It reminded him of back before the Dark Gaia crisis, and the more Sonic watched on, the more he missed being the happy-go-lucky kind of guy. His love for adventures and for his friends and family always filled his heart with such strong and positive feelings.
As the blue hedgehog and his young companion continued along the way, they suddenly come across a carriage which is being surrounded by monsters and many knights(played by some of the villagers the group had asked to play cameos in for Kairi's movie) lying on the ground defeated and the King and Queen trapped inside with the orange hedgehog attempting to fight them off but cannot. Shocked, the brave Adventurer, narrowing his eyes as he knew what to do and was angered by how cruel the creatures were to these brave men, rashed in(not in Sonic's speed as the hero of Mobius promised to hold it off during the filming) and to the amazement of the royals he fought bravely against the enemies with the young companion joining in and giving him instructions with a 'magic' book.
Once the battle was over and the audience were quite amazed by Sonic's swordsmanship skills on screen and the fifteen year old grinning at the exciting action parts, in the movie, King Oswald and his Queen approached the young traveler who, seeing their royal garments, softly gasped before he and Timonthy bowed their heads in respect.
"Young man, I cannot thank you enough for saving our lives as well as that of my men. You have such courage and talent." The King spoke in deep gratitude.
"Oh, it was nothing much, your majesty. I just help others who are in need to be saved in my travels." The young Adventurer replied bashfully.
"What is your name?"
"Well...Let's just say, my name is kind of embarrassing. So I go by the name of Azure. I'm just an adventurer with my friend and great companion Timonthy who has amazing acknowledge." Sonic's character, Azure the Adventurer, explained with a light shrug.
"It's an honor meet you, your majesties." Timonthy said respectfully.
The two royal hedgehog nodded in greeting while gazing solely onto 'Azure' and thought of just how brave, strong and kind the blue hedgehog was, remembering of the prophecy, wondering if this adventurer was the one told in the prophecy.
"Well then, Azure, if you are willing and you may be who we have been waiting for, I kindly have a deep request." The orange hedgehog 'king' began, confusing the two travelers who blinked.
"A request, sir?" Azure and Timonthy asked in unison.
"Yes. Many days ago, the evil Warlock Brutus has kidnapped our daughter Princess Aurora, for her Golden Heart and wishes to rule the entire world. We have sent our men to try and rescue her, but many have failed." 'Queen Olivia' explained, tearfully as her hands clasped together. "I fear what would become of our little girl."
"It may seem very much for you and it will be very dangerous for a young man such as yourself, but we were told of a prophecy of a young man who would rescue our daughter and save the land from the Sorcerer's grasp. We have tried many ways and I would go myself, yet as you can see, even I am no match of these creatures he has sent out to stop us. Azure the Adventurer, you may be our only hope left in saving my daughter." The King explained, feeling guilty for putting such a heavy burdern on the child's shoulders. "You will be handsomely rewarded if you succeed."
While the young fox looked rather scared over the request, and even the blue hedgehog had some doubts over it, it became clear to him that the world was in danger and while Azure didn't think he could survive such a trail, he couldn't just sit by and do nothing. Princess Aurora needed to be saved, her parents were deeply worried for their only daughter, and it angered him that Brutus could do such a horrible thing.
Finally after a few moments of thinking, Azure smirked and nodded, "I don't need an reward, but I will do my best to rescue your daughter, defeat Brutus and save the land."
"Azure, this is too dangerous! You won't be able to survive!" Timonthy protested, looking at his friend as though he was crazy.
"I know you're worried, Timonthy, but I can't just sit by and let Brutus take over the world. You said yourself, these monsters keep on coming and as long as he exists, nobody is safe. I might not come back, but I would rather die for the sake of the people than cower in fear." The blue hedgehog told his friend, smiling softly in reassurance. "It's going to be okay. I give you my word."
Even though the young fox looked very uneasy and fearing for his companion's safety, he thought about it before nodding with a sigh and said, reluctantly. "Well, if you're going, then I will go with you. Someone has too keep an eye on you. With these monsters around, I would continuously worry about you."
"Thank you, my friend." The blue hedgehog nodded, and turned back to the royals. "We will do our best, your majesties. I promise."
The royal couple smiled and despite their deep concerns for Azure and Timonthy, they expressed their gratitude and directed the two travellers towards the mountain castle where Brutus and his henchmen were keeping the Princess locked up.
"Do you think I over did with the firmness?" Sun whispered to Star who tried hard not to giggle.
"I think you did really great, Sun." The lavender hedgehog whispered in reassurance.
The former Werehog shrugged and stated. "Yeah, well, royalty is so not my thing. I'd rather be an explorer, thanks."
As the rest of the movie went on, many scenes appeared as Azure and Timonthy braved the dangers together, learning more of Brutus' evil desires and encountering more monsters along the way and locating a crystal that can break the dark spells of mind control, while the powerful Warlock, noticing their approach and believing the blue hedgehog and his fox companion to be foolish, became more and more frustrated the closer his new enemies got towards his castle. All the while Sonic and his friends and most of the audience enjoyed how well the movie went, getting pretty intense over the fun scenes.
Though there were moments where Princess Aurora and Azure would share dreams due to a connection because of the former's heart and that the latter could actually be the chosen one, and(much to Sonic's embarrassment when he did these scenes and Amy's delight), eventually grew to fall in love that they even shared a dream-dance. Yet the adventurer always doubted these dreams and felt rather heartbroken that he would never get the chance and the real Princess wouldn't love him, unaware that she felt the same way but both kept their hopes and faiths alive.
Until finally Azure and Timonthy successfully entered the dark castle, made of rock and stone while approaching the throne room, the blue hedgehog's determination stronger than ever before as his green eyes were narrowed.
"Not a step further, foolish warriors!" Brutus' voice echoed loudly, causing the two young heroes to freeze in their tracks and looked around until Timonthy alerted Azure to look up.
As the cobalt adventurer did, he gasped in shock to see the 'red and black' echidna high above them on a ledge, with a tied up Princess Aurora who was locked in a cage, frightened and, seeing Azure, locked eyes onto him with a look of plea to save her. While Sonic held it in and pretended to not show how uncomfortable he felt when he played this part, his character thought Amy's character was the most beautiful girl he has ever seen and was shocked to see that she was exactly as he dreamed about. The princess was in the similar situation and by locking into each other's eyes, was then they knew that their love, dream or not, was real.
"For a lowly wanderer, you may have destroyed my minions, but I'm afraid your journey ends here." The evil Warlock grinned darkly at the young heroes who turned their attention back to him.
"Brutus! I know what you are attempting to do, but it is your evil regime that shall come to an end! Your days of terrorizing the world is over!" Azure bravely shouted back, glaring hard at his enemy.
Brutus frowned at the blue hedgehog's bravery. "You are not a knight, yet you speak as one. Who exactly are you, wanderer?"
"My name is Azure. I may be just an adventurer, but I will risk my life to save the people who are in danger. This includes Princess Aurora, who has been trapped here for far too long. Let her go, you foul monster, or I will make you!" The blue hedgehog responded, pulling out his sword and preparing himself for the ultimate final battle.
"Ha ha ha ha ha! You think you can defeat me?" Brutus grinned confidently, before he decided to play unfair and raised his staff up. "Very well, Azure. If you can defeat my henchmen, you shall face me! IF you defeat him."
The evil Warlock then turned to the dark figure which Azure and Timonthy thought was a giant statue earlier upon entering, only that they were wrong as he commanded. "Corbus, get rid of them!"
"YES, MASTER BRUTUS." Gaiver's character, Corbus the Henchmen, spoke in a monotone, emerging from the shadows as he stomped towards the shocked and horrified young traveler and his companion who nearly screamed in fright.
"I don't sound too dark, do I?" Gaiver whispered, as this gave him, Sun and Star somewhat uncomfortable memories due to his experience of having been mind-controlled by Starline nearly four months ago.
"Nah, but it's a good thing both in reality and in the movie you're, well, you know." The orange hedgehog whispered back with a small sweat drop, only to be shushed by the villagers close by.
"Timonthy, get back. I have to handle this." Azure gestured his companion, who, worried and wishing him to be careful, hesitated before nodding and hurried to the side, while the blue hedgehog withdrew his sword and got ready to fight despite being faced with a giant opponent.
"YOU WHO DEFY THE GREAT WARLOCK BRUTUS, SHALL BE PUNISHED. PREPARE TO DIE, MORTAL." Corbus declared, towering over the young hero who narrowed his eyes with a glare.
The battle began as the giant gorilla made the attack to punch him, but the blue hedgehog leaped out of the way, narrowly avoiding the attack before he raced over to slash the giant fist. Yet even as Azure did and slashed at the hand with his sword and Corbus howled in pain, the latter attempted to catch him off guard by whacking him. The cobalt hero ducked and jumped onto the arm, 'stabbing' his sword into it only to be flung off and screamed. The brave adventurer landed with a thud, but leaped to his feet as the giant gorilla stomped to crush him.
While Brutus cheered him on, and both Timonthy and Princess Aurora watched on worriedly, fearing for the blue hedgehog's safety while outside of the movie, Sonic and his friends watched on with their hearts racing and prayed that things would go in Azure's favor.
"Come on, Azure...Don't quit!" Sonic whispered, clutching his fist. While he has done all of that in the movie and that it was all pretend since nobody got hurt, the way how it was all viewed made it look so real that he thought it was actually happening.
"You can do it...Everybody believes in you." Amy whispered pleadingly.
"Don't give up, Azure." Tails pleaded softly.
In the movie, the battle was becoming more intense and heavy as Azure was getting seriously injured despite doing some damage to his opponent as well and there was nothing Timonthy could do until the young fox remembered the crystal and pulled out a cyan blue rock(which in reality was a baked sugar sweet for a good reason), and his eyes widened in realization. He and the trapped Princess then both gasped in horror as the heroic adventurer was punched so hard that he ended up hitting the ground while losing his sword with an agonized scream.
Almost everyone both on-screen and off-screen gasped in horror and dismay to see the young hero fallen, and some of them cried out in alarm when Corbus approached the weak blue hedgehog who tried to push himself up, wincing and hissing in pain.
"Azure, run! Save yourself!" Princess Aurora screamed out pleadingly, unable to watch the blue hero die right before her eyes.
"N-No...I...can't give...up." Azure hissed, panting even as he could practically feel the giant gorilla loom over him and when he looked up, he gasped in sheer horror to see Corbus, with no emotion on his face, reach out to grab him.
"Azure, here! Use the crystal!" Timonthy, realizing that now was the only time to save his friend, cried out before tossing it to the blue hedgehog who, seeing this, weakly caught it in his right hand...
Just as Brutus' giant minion's hand almost reached him and the young adventurer let out a terrified scream of dismay. "Nooooo!" He was then clasped tightly while nearly dropping the crystal and brought up to the huge gorilla's face.
Azure, trapped in the giant's grasp, tried to pull and wriggle himself free, as his close friend and companion, the terrified magic Princess, and the audience feared for his safety and life, while Brutus laughed evilly.
"Yes! Now, destroy him! Crush that insolent fool like a ragged doll!" The evil Warlock commanded with a grin.
Obeying the command, Corbus began to squeeze the blue hedgehog who cried out in pain, trying in desperation to escape. Then, remembering the crystal and seeing the giant gorilla open his mouth, had an idea and tossed the gemstone right into it, much to the confusion of Aurora and the evil sorcerer, while Corbus, confused upon feeling something on his tongue, inadvertently swallowed the crystal. In almost an instant, the huge henchmen felt strange, groaning while placing a hand to his head and ended up losing his grip on Azure who fell screaming.
"Azure!" Timonthy cried out, hurrying to help his friend and reached him just as the blue hedgehog landed on the ground, wincing. The young fox fell to his knees as he exclaimed worriedly. "Are you okay!?"
"Y-Yeah. I'm fine." Azure replied, slowly pushing himself up with a look of shame and guilt, lowering his gaze slightly as he was unable to meet his friend's eyes. "You were right, Timonthy. If you weren't here with me, I...I wouldn't have been able to survive."
The young adventurer closed his eyes, his heart sinking like stone. "The King and Queen were wrong. I'm not the one they had hoped for."
In reality, this had been the part that ached Sonic's heart, as even when he read the script and the story, he couldn't help but sympathize the adventurer. Having felt the same hopelessness a few times before, reminded of his very first adventure when he sought out the Chaos Emeralds, believing he wasn't the chosen one and feared that they could sense his anger, and his two month trauma of guilt as well as PTSD. When he acted in this part, even during the rehearsals, it really had brought him to tears. In fact, he felt his eyes sting at this moment but willed them back.
"That is not true, Azure. You braved all of the elements by yourself. I just helped by guiding you. But sometimes, even brave adventurers need help and you know that. There's still hope, Azure. You never gave up before. So don't give up! Please!" The young fox attempted to encourage his friend, tears forming in his eyes.
Hearing his companion's words of encouragement and support, slowly realizing that they had made it much further than those before them who couldn't even reach the first quarter of their journey, going through this together made the blue hedgehog see that it was true. Plus the crystal was the added bonus in saving his life. Because at that moment they heard Corbus groan even louder, causing the two of them to look up and saw the giant Gorilla roar and yell out in pain, before he was covered in white and blue light, forcing them, Princess Aurora and Brutus, who was suddenly weakened by the crystal's power despite it having been digested and his staff's crystal begin to crack, to shield their eyes.
"What!? How can this be!?" The evil Sorcerer exclaimed, shocked and bewildered.
In that moment, the giant gorilla then began to shrink until he was a normal-sized Mobian, passing out and finally freed from Brutus' control. Azure, Timonthy and Aurora all gasped in awe, and then the blue hedgehog felt a warm light heal his injuries, much to the group's surprise and the young adventurer gazing at his hands in amazement. Yet that light came from Princess Aurora who, feeling her heart go out to her dream true love, began to glow in beautiful golden light, which was noticed by the evil Warlock who gasped in horror.
"Your golden heart's power...!" Brutus began, horrified before turning to Azure who, feeling new hope and restored confidence rise within himself, shared a glance with the young fox and gazed back up to their enemy and the trapped Princess. "You choose him!? This lowly wanderer...Impossible!"
Realization dawned onto both the Princess and the Adventurer as they gazed into each other's eyes, instantly knowing that this was the prophecy that was meant to be, their fates intertwined and their love true and deep.
"Yes, I do." Aurora nodded, glaring at her kidnapper who intended to steal her golden heart for greed and power as tears began to form in her eyes. "You may see him as a lowly wander, but my heart has let us share dreams, allowing us to talk and bond...He has a heart purer than gold, more pure than mine. Azure is a brave hero with a kind companion, a caring adventurer, and I...I love him!"
"Aurora..." Azure began, feeling his heart leap as he knew that his dreams were hers as well, and by the strange power of her golden heart, she chose him and thus their love was not a lie. "I love you, too."
"Oh man...I sound way too cliche with those lines...!" Sonic groaned softly, facepalming himself as he cringed. Why did he have to say those lines? It took a lot of will-power not to mess up when it came to this scene. He was so glad that those mushy parts were over.
Amy on the other hand sighed, feeling a rush of love wash over her, clasping her hands together. "Oh...! I love these scenes. This is just so romantic."
"NO! You are to be mine and mine alone! No other man shall touch you! Even in your dreams!" Brutus roared in fury, the evil sorcerer turning to the blue hedgehog and young fox who helped the young traveler to his feet. "And YOU! You may have defeated my minion, but you shall not defeat me, Azure!"
Narrowing his eyes, Azure, thanking Timonthy who handed him back his sword, took a couple steps closer as he prepared himself for the final battle, declaring with pure determination. "You don't understand, Brutus. You don't care or even love Aurora. You only took her because of her golden heart's power, so you can use it to take over the world for yourself. That is why she and many others would reject you and rise against your evil ways. You are nothing but a coward holding a magic staff with a black heart, and I am going to stop you, once and for all!"
The wicked Warlock snarled, and let out a battle cry before he leaped to the ground and stared furiously at his opponent who stood ready.
"You fool! I am the most powerful man in the world! I will send you and your friend and all who oppose me...to your GRAVES!" Brutus declared, blasting magic laser at Azure and Timonthy who jumped and leaped out of the way, and continued to do so while Azure, having an idea, blocked the attacks with his sword which it's blade reflected and nearly hit the evil sorcerer who was forced to jump to the side.
Having an idea when he saw this, the blue hedgehog charged and clashed at the red and black echidna who was surprisingly good at blocking his attacks. The two clashed heavily with Azure dodge-rolling to the side and thrust and parreled as hard as he could, even leaping up and using a Sword Spin attack, sending the stunned Warlock back, sending him flying as he crashed into the wall with dust and pieces of broken stone flying everywhere.
Sonic and Knuckles both shared a knowing look, thanks to their past experiences of their misunderstood battles as well as friendly matches and training even though the blue hedgehog hadn't used his Sword Spin since his adventures in Camelot.
Recovering and now glowing in a mixed aura of black and red, much to the shock of the main protagonists, Brutus fought more aggressively which caught Azura off-guard and injuring him even further despite Timonthy and Aurora's cries of support, telling him to not give up. The blue hedgehog, wincing at his renewed injuries, glared angrily at his evil enemy who grinned and prepared for the final strike. But the young adventurer refused to give up, as he, with a heap of struggles, blocked the attack and fought hard once more.
The battle kept going until the blue hedgehog fell to his knees, exhausted but refused to give up, while Brutus, while not fairing much better, grinned in victory much to the horror of Timonthy, Aurora, and the audience who all gasped dramatically.
"You see? You cannot defeat me, Azure. Your days are over!" Brutus declared, preparing for the killing blow.
Azure could only glare up shakily, until a memory formed into his mind and a flash-back sequence played when he and Timonthy tried to figure out the evil Warlock's weakness.
"I think there's a connection between Brutus and his staff." The young fox remarked, reading through the ancient scrolls he and Azure ventured into while trying to locate a way up to the Castle Mountain.
"What kind of connection, Timonthy?" The blue hedgehog asked, curiously, standing behind his friend with his arms folded.
"According to this, he solely relies on his magic, which comes from his staff. From my understanding...it's also linked to his very soul, his life-force. Meaning that, without it, as he has apparently lived for more than a hundred years, he can't survive." Timonthy smiled with hope.
"So if we figure out a way to destroy it..." Azure began, trailing off with hope rising in his voice.
"Brutus may actually be defeated!"
As the flash-back sequence ended, the blue hedgehog now knew what to do...and he had to make it count before Brutus could finish him off. Just as the evil sorcerer raised his staff and declared. "Say your prayers, wanderer!"
Azure hissed, picking up his sword and shouted. "You're the one who is about to say it, you monster! HAAAAHHHH!" With the last of his strength, the young hero thrust his weapon and sliced the staff into two pieces in a loud clang, much to the horror of his evil enemy.
"NO! NO! What have you-!?" Brutus was cut off and never would finish his sentence when the result of his staff being destroyed not only caused it to disappear into dust, but he could feel his very life-force being drained away. He gasped for breath, clutching his chest as he stumbled back, only for his young enemy, the mortal who has braved the dangers, a simple traveler who had found a way to connect with Princess Aurora, to bash him away.
The evil dying Warlock screamed as he disappeared before he even hit the ground, leaving behind nothing but his cloak. Silence followed as Azure, panting as he, Timonthy and Princess Aurora stared off at where Brutus was, shocked and amazed before realization slowly dawned onto them, disbelief forming on their faces, but none more so than the blue hedgehog. He had done it, he has defeated the evil Sorcerer, having rescued the Princess and saved the world.
"I...I have won...I defeated...Brutus..." The cobalt adventurer panted, before slowly sinking to his knees, breathing heavily as the fatigue of his battle finally got to him, dropping his sword to his side. Timonthy hurried to his side worriedly, only to feel relief when Azure smiled softly at him with reassurance.
Everyone in the audience felt relieved as well, even Knuckles despite that he had played the bad guy, but all in all, he was glad that in reality he would always be the good guy, because it was better that way. And a lot more fun too.
Azure and Timonty wasted no more time as they broke the cage and released the Princess who, in relief and deep gratitude, came face to face with her dream lover for real. The two hedgehogs sharing warm smiles as he and the young fox bowed their respects, only for the Princess to gently gesture them to rise.
"Brave noble adventurers, Azure and Timonthy. You have saved my life and freed the world from the evil of Brutus." Princess Aurora began, her hands clasped together. "How can I ever repay you, especially you, Azure?"
"I-It was nothing, your highness." Timonthy replied, sheepishly. "We're just glad that you're okay."
"Agreed. We could not have done it without each other, and, in a way, you helped us too, Princess. It was your support in spirit that guided us along the way." Azura nodded in agreement, blushing a little as he added softly. "And...your beautiful smile is reward enough."
Aurora blushed heavily over this comment, and, dropping her polite manners, happily hugged her brave and handsome hero who, stumbling a bit, felt his heart leap before he gently returned it while Timonthy smiled happily at the two young lovers.
"Awwwww...!" Most of the audience cooed happily, some even beginning to blubber in tears at the romantic and happy scene, while Sonic cringed and sank a little in his seat, wishing to just disappear, Amy nuzzled up close to her hero, Tails and Manny both tried not to laugh, Kairi, Sophia and Star giggling, Sun smirking teasingly and even Knuckles grinned while mocking the embarrassed blue hedgehog with air-kisses.
Sonic gave the orange hedgehog and red echidna an irritated glare as his muzzle blushed a deep pink hue with his face heating up. This was the part he dreaded the most out of the entire movie.
The ending of the movie then revealed Azura, Timonthy and Aurora, with the now freed Corbus who couldn't remember a thing and, feeling guilty for being part of the scheme, agreed to turn himself in as they all journeyed back home to Heart Kingdom where the Princess was reunited with her very relieved and deeply grateful parents, who rewarded the two brave travelers to stay in the Kingdom as long as they want and, also noticing how their daughter had fallen in love with the blue hedgehog who shared her feelings, decided to let her travel with him and the young fox to see the world until they were ready to return home.
"And so with the evil Warlock Brutus ultimately defeated, the brave adventurers and the Princess returned to the Kingdom and peace has been restored to the land. Everyone was happy as they celebrated Azure and Timonthy's victory, the brave traveler having fallen in love with the Princess who, with her parents' blessings, went with them for new adventures in the world which has been saved, while Corbus remained behind and agreed to serve himself to the Kingdom to atone for his actions. When the three heroes returned home sometime later, Princess Aurora, and her handsome brave hero Azure married, while Timonthy was made royal assistant and Knight in training, and they all lived Happily Ever Ever." Kairi's voice narrated the ending of the story.
The final scenes then revealed a snap-shot of Azure and Aurora in wedding uniforms with a (thankfully fake to Sonic's relief and the annoyance of Amy who wanted it to be real but held in her disappointment) kiss, and Timonthy, King Oswald and Queen Oliva by their side, celebrating their union. The scene then faded black and the golden words in bold "THE END" appeared on the screen and the audience applauded happily over such a beautifully well-made movie.
Even thugh Sonic felt uncomfortable having to have a romantic ending, he was happy none the less of how the entire movie turned out and shared proud smiles with his friends, before the group heard a loud sobbing and blubbering from their right. Puzzled and surprised, they turned to see that Argo was weeping away with a pile of handkerchiefs all around him as he repeatedly wiped his eyes and nose with waterworks of tears came flying out.
"That...was the most beautiful movie...I've ever...s-see-en! WAAAHH!" The pathetic theif bawled and wailed like a baby.
Sweat dropping, Sonic, Tails, Amy, Knuckles, Sun, Star, Manny, Kairi, Sophia, and even Gaiver shared awkward glances before they all sighed in exasperation, with the hero of Mobius muttering under his breath. "Geez, talk about a sore loser."
No one argued with him at that.
Once all of the movie contestants were shown, it was time to announce the winner of the contest with Kairi's group standing by with other attendees, including Argo who finally managed to stop crying.
"That was quite a lot of entertainment tonight, with many movies created by the talents of everyone having entered. Now it's time for the moment we've all been waiting for!" Entertainment Chimp grinned excitedly, though everyone both on stage and off were waiting impatiently. He then opened up the envelope and pulled out the third place card, announcing. "The third prize goes to...Markus Fiddlesworth and his Movie "The Surfers Big Wave"!"
The aforementioned third place winner, who was a Mobian Shrew, grinned as he took the bronze trophy shaped like a video camera and held it up as a lot of people applauded.
"The second prize goes to...Lucas and his horrific Movie, "Night of the Dark Arts"!" The Mobian Monkey continued after pulling out the second place card.
Lucas, who was a Mobian Hound with light-brown fur, cheered happily and took the silver trophy identical to the first place one only in different colour.
"And finally, the winner of the contest is..." Entertainment Chimp paused while pulling out the first place card with the drum rolls playing in the background, and Kairi, Argo and the remaining contestants waited anxiously for see who the winner is. "Kairi and her movie "The Golden Heart Princess"!"
"YEAH!" Sonic and most of his friends cheered happily, while Kairi stood there, completely shocked as her eyes widened, and the crowd went wild. The cream-yellow hedgehog felt her heart leap, unable to believe what she was hearing.
"I...won?" The young girl whispered, wondering if she was having some sort of dream, feeling quite dazed and overwhelmed.
"Congratulations!" Amy squealed happily as she, Star and Sophia hugged their stunned friend, with Sonic and the other boys gathering around her.
"I knew you'd win!" Sonic said, grinning.
Kairi was still in shock even as she was given the first-place trophy, as it slowly began to register that this was all real. Looking at her friends who all smiled proudly to show that this was real, she felt tears form in her eyes.
"Thank you, guys. I couldn't have done any of this without you...! You're the best friends ever!" Kairi replied, sharing a group hug as she and the others all laughed happily that she, and her group, had won and their movie was a big success.
Argo, shocked by this and annoyed that he lost, began to throw a tantrum when he and the other losing competitiors, who all grumbled, were given last place prizes. At first his face lit up...until he and the others got nothing but tokens for a free Ice Cream Cone and his expression fell.
"Well...At least ice cream's better than nothing. Maybe I should get a Triple Chocolate Fudge with Vanilla on top." The Eggman-Wanna-Be sighed, and slumped away off-stage, having lost yet again.
Later that night back in Kairi's home, she and her friends gathered in the living room with her newly won trophy on the shelf with family photos, and even put in a couple of photos into frames: one that had all of them happily cheering and another with them gathered with Kairi shaking hands with Director Jude Claws.
"Thanks for all the help, guys. I didn't think I'd actually win." Kairi said smiling.
"Nah, don't mention it, Kai'. Always happy to help out a friend." Sonic gave his friend a thumbs up.
"And it was so cool that Jude like your movie so much that he's given you his card if you wanna go to Directing School." Manny added happily.
The cream-yellow hedgehog giggled, shrugging. "Yeah, but I'm not sure if I'm ready for that sort of thing yet. I just wanted to make a movie to show it off to him and for one time only around here."
"Whatever you want to do, it's really up to you, Kairi." Tails reassured.
"You really have the talent for being a great director." Amy praised proudly.
The others nodded in agreement, and Kairi smiled warmly. "Yeah. But it was you guys that deserve more credit than I do and who knows? Maybe you can all be movie stars."
Despite the praise she was giving them, Sonic and the others shared glances and shrugged, as the hero of Mobius commented his thoughts. "I would, but I think this is once in a life time chance. I'm more happy to experience the real adventures and excitement. Adventure always calls out to me."
"And being famous isn't all that fun to me, either. I like being who I am right now." Amy nodded in agreement, sighing as she thought back to the Grand Sapphire Blue Sea adventure. "You can't get much of privacy or normal life if you're a number one star. Hero or just being an actor."
"I'm more of a fan of peace and quiet, so you can count me out. And if does happen again, next time I want to play as a good guy." Knuckles waved dismissively.
"I think I can skip seeking out a career in acting as well." Gaiver nodded politely.
"Yeah, no kidding. It was fun and all, but I think once is more than enough." Sun chuckled in agreement.
"As long as we had fun, that's all that matters." Star nodded, smiling warmly.
"And next time, you should write a book and let people's imaginations do all the work." Sophia suggested, waving a hand.
The cream-yellow hedgehog giggled, "Fair enough. I had been thinking of writing a spin-off or a sequel. This time as a novel. Maybe I should be a writer instead."
Sonic and his friends all shared a laugh, having had a lot of fun in making this movie. But as the hero of Mobius knew, real life adventures was much more fun and hanging out with those he cared so much really made him happy.
Whatever comes next in their small adventures on Seaside Island, only time will tell.

A/N: It wasn't easy writing the parts of the movie that Sonic and his friends were starring in and I had to re-write it a few times before I was satisfied and some parts from the previous version may be either in the next one-shot or not. It depends on how I go.
(1) Sonic's costume is based on his DLC Link uniform in Sonic Lost World, but more designed after Link's current outfit from TLOZ: Breath of the Wild game.
