Hello everyone before chapter 43 I wish to thank GhostDominion6 for helping me write this chapter and I appreciate the help you have given me, I also wish to say that when he read the initial chapter he thought it was good and interesting.

I wish to also say in advance that this chapter is different to the ones recently. Also some of you may find this chapter a bit scary (considering the music I have proposed to listen to, if you do listen to the music while reading my fanfic).

But I hope you enjoy this chapter and I appreciate the reviews from TMCraze and Fear Ripper of my previous chapter.

PS: While this chapter may not have anything to do with Valentines Day I still wish all my fans Happy Valentines Day and I hope you enjoy today.

Chapter 43: Scare yourself Slender

I am now in a very dark forest, as it's a moonless night; fortunately, I have a torch… although the light produced from it isn't very powerful. I hear the noise of crickets, but apart from that I hear nothing. It's fortunate I have a torch because none of my special visions are working for some reason… Ah well, at least it's only a dream and not real life.

"Noire? Uni? Blanc? White? Rom and Ram? Anyone?" I call out.

This concerns me as to why I am alone; perhaps I will encounter them later, just like the time we attempted to take down Nisa. At least there's no sign of Neptune, and all my HUD asks me to do is collect 8 pages. Well, I may not know where I am, and I may be alone, but I just need to find 8 pages and I'll be done. It sure is dark, but hopefully my torch can help me.

I notice a path amongst the trees and so I decide to follow it due to gut instinct. I hear the sound of my own footsteps as they crunch on the dead leaves on the ground. I'm confident that if I follow this path, I will be able to find my first page. As I walk past all the trees that look identical, I notice in front of me a rather unique one; it stands out because of the lack of leaves. Instead, only the pointy branches reach for the night sky.

My own intuition tells me that this tree will probably have the first page, so I head over there. I then go around the tree and as luck would have it, my objective appears before me. I distinctly notice on the page Noire being sat on by Nepgear. Growing extremely irate, I quickly snatch the page before the image of my Goddess being sat on is burnt into my own mind… but it is then I realise that it was a piece of artwork from Hyperdimension Neptunia Victory.

Note: Readers, please listen to Slenderman 8 Pages Pages 1-2 while reading this.

Now for some bizarre reason, I can hear my heart beat pumping quite loudly.

"0, 23, 87, 905, 1,000,024, 200.956, 2, 4, 90, 666, 432, 109…" Neptune chanted.

I can't see Neptune, but I hear her annoying voice in my head, chanting all sorts of numbers: large, small, decimals, positive, negative; all the numbers are real and rational, or at least I believe them to be. Fortunately, I'm able to roughly translate what she says:

"Hello again Black. It is become clear to me that trying to defeat you won't work, so I thought I'd try again and talk to you like buddies as to why we should be partners," Neptune spoke to me in her usual human tone.

I wander around this dark forest as I try to ignore Neptune. Eventually, I notice a red truck, so I head to it, figuring the next page will be there.

I could easily tell that the purple-haired witch was growing tired of me. "It's quite rude to ignore little-ol'-me, you know. Perhaps a session with Plutia will teach you some respect." Neptune warned.

Ha, like that threat means anything to me. "Ha ha ha, I think we both know how that would turn out," I spat back. If ignoring her won't work, then maybe I'm better off getting under her skin.

"Ah, good! Come join me, Black. My friends would welcome someone as smart as you! Heh, you'll be the only man in our group. Come on! Join our harem! You know you wanna…" Neptune begged in quite the devilish manner.

As I reached the truck, I notice a trailer behind it; I take a look around this stationary vehicle, hoping to find the next page.

"I already am the sole male in my group, and I know for a fact that my group treats males with a lot more respect than you lot ever would, and that's a guaranteed fact!" I rebutted to Neptune.

I heard a rather loud gasp from her end. "It's because of Noire, isn't it? What do you see in that tsundere meanie? Is it out of pity for her having no friends? With her attitude, she doesn't deserve any! So horrible, urgh." Neptune said in complete disgust.

Every fibre of my being wanted to yell in retaliation; I yearned to kick the crap out of her, but sadly she's in my head! If I was to yell, we both know she would have got to me. Instead, I just say this despite knowing what she said was a load of rubbish:

"Maybe she doesn't have any friends because people like you keep picking on her, or maybe she just doesn't do people, or maybe she's a tsundere meanie as you called her, all because you and your buddies decided that Noire would be a tsundere," I spoke with a hint of aggression as well as sarcasm.

At this point in time, I'm at the back of the trailer, where the 2nd page is located. This time it is a picture of Noire and Iris Heart, with Noire shaking in fear, afraid of Plutia's sadism. I picked up the page, and quickly head off in the hunt for the third one.

"Silly Blacky Noire is a tsundere because she just is, and it's her fault she's so snooty and snobbish to begin with," Neptune yelled at me, knowing she's trying to provoke my anger, hoping to wind me up some more.

"Says the CPU that's insistent that she's the best goddess simply because she's the main character. Well guess what; you're not the main character anymore! I am." I reply back.

A hesitant guffaw comes from that stupid brat. "And so you stick with Noire, a goddess that rarely succeeds. She always gets humiliated, and it's her own fault too. It's down to her arrogance, just like how she boasted how her nation was number 1. I'll never forget it when Lastation was in trouble by Anonydeath, and it was soooooooo funny to see her panicking!" The purple headed monstrosity boasted.

She now replays the scenes involving Noire's downfall as well as how Anonydeath wrapped her around his little finger all from Victory. The scenes make me feel sick and angry, frustrated at Neptune for what she has done. However, I realise that this is proof that Neptune is just a sad, sad CPU; sad that she has to lash out because of her failures; sad because we have humiliated her countless times; sad that, no matter how hard she tries, she could never amount to the woman Noire turned out to be. All she can do is just produce media about how she is better than my CPU. How pathetic.

"We both know it's all because of you," I replied.

"Really? I just think it's Noire's fault. Oh, speak of the devil: There she is!" She spoke in her usual annoying tone.

I hear quite the loud piano note being played, and suddenly I see Noire in her human form wearing a blue bikini that's inside out.

"Ha ha ha, look at your hair! It's so funny! Your ponytail looks so silly!" My ideal wife laughed.

I turn and walk away, even running a bit. I know it's not the real Noire, as I have seen her for myself, and she would never do that; it's just Neptune trying to play mind games once more. The thing is, though, is that she does kinda remind me of my goddess from Neptunia as well. I don't know why. Either way, I did run, and I wouldn't be surprised if that blasted witch used that as ammunition against me. I suppose I ran out of instinct; perhaps my fear is Noire suffering, fear of seeing her humiliated, and Neptune is definitely exploiting that fear.

Soon after, I then notice a blue truck carrying lots of liquid in a container. I go around it to see if the third page is there, but unfortunately it's not.

"My look is much better than yours." The Noire called out.

I just ignored her though. Walking away, I switch the light off to save battery, but also so she doesn't follow me.

The blooming woman with the sickening purple hair came back. "See what I mean, Blacky? And oh, look at how you can't stand it! So, you run away, and now you have switched your torch off when it's dark. You need to keep it on, silly Blacky." She said in her pathetic tone.

I just ignore her and keep walking through the trees. I notice a building in the distance, so I head towards it; there's bound to be a page there.

"Oooh, I wonder if there are any fruit in this forest? Maybe we can gather them and make delicious puddings with them, huh? Yes Neptune, no Neptune. Still ignoring me, huh? Probably mad or something, considering how you just saw Noire in an inside-out bikini. Ha ha ha! See, I told you she always gets humiliated!" Neptune taunted, clearly filled with twisted insanity not to mention lots of garbage to go with it.

I enter the building, noticing how the floor and the bottom half of the walls are covered in tiles. I walk around, and it appears to be a maze; there are no unique features, meaning it's easy for me to get lost. Fortunately, it's not long before I see the third page in a dead end. Fearing for my life, I grab it and go. Due to me not having my flashlight on, I do not see what's on the page, but I figured by now its Noire being defeated, or something along those lines.

Note: Readers, please listen to Slenderman 8 Pages Pages 3-4 while reading this.

Now on top of the sound of someone's heartbeat (which is very loud), I can now hear a low droning sound.

"4+2=6… 6-3=3… 3x3=9… 9/9=1…." Neptune randomly chanted.

Now she's doing arithmetic. At this point, I know that whatever she generally says is usually a code, and I soon was able to translate this particular sequence, within reason:

"Oh look Blacky you're stuck in this building, silly Blacky you're trapped perhaps if you were to join me I could help you find a way out of here."

If she calls me "silly Blacky" one more time…when I get my hands on her, she'll wish she never met me.

In the end, I just ignore her and begin to look for a way out. Eventually, I succeed, and so I switch my light on so I can see my surroundings. I notice a bunch of oil tankers.

"You still support Noire, huh? Even after seeing her make a fool of herself, you still worship her instead of me, someone that has not been humiliated." The purple-haired witch taunted some more.

"Really? Either your memory stinks, or you're very stupid… Or hell, you're probably both." I reply sarcastically.

"Yeppers. Your goddess is always humiliated and constantly defeated. Let's see, I count four times during the Lastation Arc, and that's before she saw the error of her ways, and even then she still had to fight me only to lose. She and her sister had lost to me and my younger sister at a later time, of course. Then there's the time where not even the four copies she made of herself could defeat me, and finally there's the time where I defeated her a couple of times before joining me again. You see? Your goddess that you support has never defeated me; it will be in your best interest to join me. I have never been defeated by any other goddess." She droned on in her usual manner.

That was completely bull, but I knew there was no sense in arguing right now. As I go around the oil tankers, I see the 4th page, which depicts Neptune, Compa, and IF fighting Noire just like in HDN, only Noire has very low health, while Neptune and her friends have plenty of it. Despite the constant images of Noire being portrayed in an awful light, and my belief that Neptune is trying to scare me, it just fills me with rage with how poorly Planeptune's CPU treats my goddess, making me completely focused with my objective: to bring Neptune down and to teach her various lessons. I then walk in a certain direction as I leave the tankers and the building to find the 5th page.

"Let's not break the 4th wall here. I think we both know how you managed to supposedly defeat Noire so many times. It's kinda funny though. I can actually recount the numerous times you have been defeated: the time in the bar; the time at the rooftop, and that was just me vs. you and Plutia; when you tried to defeat Blanc with me and Plutia; You, Nepgear, and Plutia failed to defeat me and my sisters not once, not twice, but three times. Your consoles have also failed to defeat mine. Hell, the joke of a console that you represent was never even released, not to mention despite all the powers you supposedly had, what with being main character and having everything your way, you still could not beat Noire in a popularity contest! Come to think of it, you have failed to defeat Lastation and Lowee every damn time!" I spoke angrily back to her.

It's a bit redundant now, but I hold much hatred for Neptune over what she has done, and what she is trying to do right now. While I seem to be able to resist Neptune's constant brain-washing, I'm unsure if I actually am. Perhaps it's anger at the series with how they had Neptune constantly defeating my CPUs and treating them like crap, as if to get us to turn against them. Just as I have seen with other people.

She returned once more. "Failed to defeat Lowee? I think you will find Lowee in ruins now. What a bummer; all because they wish to defeat me. But why don't we ask Noire, being as you only listen to her instead of me, the true goddess!" Neptune replied with sarcasm.

Soon, the angelic voice of my Goddess came up, though it was hidden behind a veil of shame. "Son of a bitch, damn it! I lost again! Why?! It can be nobody else but me. The true goddess has to be me!" Noire called out, her voice shaken with complete frustration.

"Awww, poor Noirey. She'll never be able to defeat me! Boy, it does take a lot, but I'm confident she'll eventually come around. She always does, but she quickly forgets and so on…but yeah, Noire has been defeated like a kajillion times by me." Planeptune's CPU spoke in a cocky manner.

After some walking through the forests while switching my flashlight on and off, I come to a tube which is used precariously as a tunnel. I go inside it and find the 5th page, this one showing Lastation from the first game full of smoke and chimneys; the place is very dirty and full of rubbish. Unfortunately, it doesn't look like a very desirable place to live.

Note: Readers, please listen to Slender 8 Pages Pages 5-6 while reading this.

Now I hear a loud wind sound that repeats itself in a loop. It is as if the music is trying to break me down mentally, trying to drive me insane along with Neptune, and the different sightings of Neptunia's Noire exploiting my fear of my own goddess being defeated, and my fear of Noire my own goddess being a villain. They can keep playing that so called music if they want, I find it therapeutic.

I leave the tunnel and head to the forest, switching my flash light on and off.

"5x2+4x-3=0… 2x3-3y2=0…"

Now she's doing algebra; strange, but then again, she is a sad strange little girl. Like before, it's really a code, which I'm able to translate although it takes longer this time:

"You still support Noire despite how much of a loser she is Silly Blacky, let me put it this way you consider yourself to be a goodie right? But so am I I'm like the main character of the franchise Noire is an evil goddess. You have got to join me so I can take evil down." She explains in her usual tone.

I was really getting annoyed now. "And what makes her evil, huh? The fact that she defeated you? The fact that she cares about her people? The fact that she works hard?" I replied.

"It's the fact that she's against me, duh! Plus, Blacky, she was sooooo mean to Chian, allowing Avenir to destroy her company, and in backing them up, they put soooo many people out of business. It was all just so she could defeat little-ol'-me. She neglects her duties as a goddess as well; have you ever been there? There's no employment, lots of homeless people and such. It's all smelly and dirty. Despite Avenir being the root of all the problems there, not to mention having a nasty leader called Singe and a treacherous villain named Ganache. Noire did nothing about it, even though they begged her. Urgh! Even the majority of the population isn't nice, and yet you serve this goddess. Hmph, she only cares about herself!" She droned on and on.

I wish she'd shut up already. All that she had said to me is false, and it was all in her script. I have seen Lastation for myself, and I have even proven that Noire is not evil, nor her citizens. Still, I couldn't let this petty thought get in the way of the task at hand. I soon find a landmark in the distance, and so I decided to look for a page there rather than deal with Neptune. This landmark is actually 6 distinct identical trees standing next to each other. I kept looking, but out of nowhere, a sickening but familiar voice cried:

"Perhaps you can see for yourself with Noire."

I look around to see Noire in her human form talking to a shadow as well as hearing a scary piano note being played. I quickly run away, though I still hear their conversation.

"Neptune is proving to be a lot stronger than I thought. I need you to gather all the weapons you can find to help me defeat her again!" Noire said to the mysterious shadow.

A dark voice echoed throughout the night. "Yes, Lady Black Heart, but I propose that you wait, since Neptune is with Chian. I was actually considering leading her into a trap, and then I will lead Avenir's assault on Chian's factory. Knowing Neptune, she'll probably head to Avenir afterwards. That's where you can trap her." Ganache replied.

"Very good. I want Neptune to be defeated. I will do whatever it takes to defeat her, no matter the cost! I will gladly sacrifice my own people if it will enable me to defeat her!" The CPU spoke in a quite distinct tone.

I do feel as though Neptune twisted it to make my goddess evil, but even so, even if the words are different, I do remember that event happening, but I know it was from HDN.

I was finally nearing my breaking point. "Neptune, we know that was from your first game, and I have even proven that this is false. You've got no evidence saying that Noire is evil because, simply put, she is far from it. It's just you trying to villainise her because she beat you time and time again," I spoke harshly to that stupid "girl".

Unfortunately, though her voice was cracking, she still had the nerve to answer smugly. "Well, like I said, Noire is evil because she is against me, and because of what I said before; just as Arfoire is evil as well as Pirachu, Singe, and the company Avenir. Surely even you can see they're at least evil!" She yelled, clearly ignoring whatever I just said, bringing the word hypocrite to a whole new level.

After a short while of wandering through the forest, I notice what looks like a brick wall in the distance. When I take a closer look, I notice there are two brick walls that cross each other. I then go around them to try and find the 6th page.

After going around each section, I finally find the 6th page, which happens to detail Noire in her HDD form looking angry after saying her usual snide comments.

I wasn't having any more of this bull crap. "Ah, congratulations Neptune! That's the first time you got something right, but we both know that that is just your sick way of trying to villianise my consoles, because we know that Arfoire is based on R4: a piracy card which happens to be from the Nintendo DS, you even said that she is from Lowee! How charming the main villain of yours is basically some piracy that affects a Nintendo handheld. What about Pirachu, hmmm? Is he not based on Pikachu, the most famous Pokémon; also from Nintendo? I always knew you hated that company. What about Singe and Avenir? Singe was all for machinery, just as Avenir is French for 'future'; both are what Lastation is about. I will never join you. You're just a sore loser who will go to such lows just to get your way, and by God, you're despicable!" I reply to her, spitting in contempt.

A laugh, though clearly one desperately hiding defeat. "If Noire is not evil, then why do you run away from her? You keep talking about Noire like she's some glorious goddess or whatever, yet when you see her; she proves what I say to be correct." She replies sarcastically.

She has a point, but I know this is a fake, created by Neptune herself. It's how she perceives my CPU. I know this; I have seen the true Noire for myself.

I then go through the forest, occasionally jogging, hoping I can just get those last 2 pages.

"Noire will keep finding you in this forest, you know? You will constantly see her evil ways, the times she was humiliated, and the times I have defeated her. Join me, Blacky, and this terrible nightmare can finally end." Neptune toyed.

After more of my sparse jogging, I am able to make out a rock, and on that out-of-place object, is the 7th page. This time around, it's a picture of me with a red aura behind it; my skin appears very pale in that photo.

I quickly grab the page and run away from the rocks.

Note: Readers, please listen to Slenderman 8 Pages Pages 7-8 while reading this.

I now hear a constant screeching noise as well as the other sounds now:

"2cos90 + sin45 - tan180 – sinx + 2cosy - (40tanz)2=….." Neptune riddled to me.

I notice that how every odd number page I obtain, the code appears more complex; the mathematics appear more advanced, but somehow I'm still able to roughly translate what she says:

"I think I know why you serve Noirey it's because you're evil, you're a vile villain."

Man, she really is a bitch and I'm being polite here. "Thing is, I probably am a villain to you," I replied to her snarky ways.

Another faint guffaw. "That's right! You hate me and my nation. You have stood in our way! You even kidnapped me and my sisters, as well as locking us up just so you can watch Lastation and Lowee fight each other! And, most of all, you and your CPU friends have tortured my good friend Plutia, and even you must admit that it was a bit much… don't you?" Neptune asked me.

"Why do you think I hate you lot to begin with? As for kidnapping, where is your proof? You probably fled, and then brainwashed Blanc, just as you're trying to brainwash me now! As for torture, hmph, don't act like Plutia's an innocent little girl; or have you forgotten that she herself tortures people in very horrific manners? Hell, even your stupid games contain her torturing Noire, Blanc, and the other candidates as well. What is the big idea? And yet, you cry when your Plutia gets a taste of her own medicine. As I said before, I do not regret torturing her at all; in fact, I enjoyed it. I enjoyed dishing out justice, just as I will enjoy dishing out justice to you! You who tries to destroy my nation; you who tries to kill my own goddess; you who tries to villianise and humiliate my goddess and my people. I will make you pay!" I said as my anger increased during my speech.

Though, despite what I said with regards to Plutia's torture, I do understand why other people would disagree. After all, the torture was horrific, but as Newton once said: "To every action, there is always an equal, yet opposite reaction." Plutia's torturing and raping of innocent people was what she did; her actions all in the name of Neptune. The CPUs and I torturing her to the extreme; that was our reaction.

Think what you may of me as I respect different perspectives, but I can assure you that I am not a savage. I don't target innocent civilians; I use precision. Neptune is my target to bring down, and anyone that will stand in support of her. My target is not Planeptune or NeutralLand, as they are just civilians who they themselves suffer that twisted witch's wrath. I have to bring her to justice; to stop her from persisting with these vile acts she commits: the brainwashing, the desire for conflict between the nations, the cruelty to her own people as well as the neglect. She must be punished for crimes against humanity! If bringing her to justice by any means necessary will make me a villain, then so be it, as I am prepared to sacrifice my body and my soul to bring her down!

Once more, the purple-haired CPU seemed overly confident. "Thing is, Black, you can talk of hatred as well as making me pay all you want, but your so called 'buddy' Noirey is after you. You can't run from her forever, so it's fight or die time. Oops, I forgot you have no weapons, so I guess you'll die! Mwahahahaha!" the ditzy little girl said.

As I see a circular brick pillar, I hear Noire calling out for me.

"Time to fight me, Black. You can beg for mercy all you want, but I won't listen to you! Prepare yourself!" She called in an aggressive, arrogant, cocky manner.

I don't look back to see her. Instead, I run to the pillar. Now I know why I run from Noire; it's because this Noire wishes to kill me. As I stated before, Neptune is trying to exploit what I fear most: her humiliation, then her defeat, then her being evil; all because of how much I love her, and how she is my goddess, and finally me being evil. That would be horrible, simply because that is something I try my best not to be. But, despite what goes on in this screwed up nightmare, I will not give up!

I'm at the pillar, so I run around it, finally obtaining the page after a few seconds of constant running. My breaths become harder and harder to grasp; exhaustion is taking its toll… Still, I'm victorious.

"How do you like me now, Neptune? How do you like me now? I found all the pages…I'm still here…and I'm still loyal to Noire." I taunted with pride.

I'm panting, but I can no longer hear the noises, and Neptune has left my head apparently. Whew. What a relief….or is it? Perhaps I have underestimated Neptune. Maybe her goal was not to brainwash me and attempt to play mind games; she would have known that brainwashing me would not have worked because of how strong my will is, and how defiant I am against my enemies. Let's not forget that I proved Noire's innocence.

… I fully realise now that I'm in Slender 8 pages; that explains why I had to collect those pages of pure anti-Lastation. The noises, and avoiding Noire; Neptune made Noire into Slenderman, and as I walk around, I realise that with Slenderman, no matter how many pages you get or how long you spend trying to run away from him, he will always find you, and he will kill you. Yet, there is no way to fight it, let alone kill it. So I just stop wandering.

"Come for me then, Noire. I accept your challenge!" I said, doing my best to mask my fear.

A sinister piano note rang out, and Noire appears in her HDD form, holding her high-tech sword with one hand. The grating sound of static fills my eyes and ears as she attempts to strike me down with her bladed weapon. I instinctively reach into my pocket… and feel a rather strange item. As I begin fiddling with it, a white blinding flash of light replaces the static, and that is the last thing I remember before losing consciousness...
