Chapter 76: Semper Fi part 3

Before Chapter 76 I wish to thank weyoun for becoming my 20th favourite for this fanfic as well as to .33 for his reviews. I just wish to say I appreciate your support, I now have over 25 readers for this fanfic alone thanks to you guys. This pleases me greatly and I hope that my readers will increase in number in the future. I hope you enjoy this chapter:

I look at all of my troops assembled before me including the reinforcements, and once again they are back to life and are at full health which pleases me greatly. Unfortunately it means that we don't have many supplies on us, let alone any spares and I feel bad that the Loweeans will have to wait until tomorrow morning to receive some. I can't begin to imagine how they're holding out, I wouldn't be surprised if they were starving and suffering particularly with lack of sanitation. It wouldn't surprise me at all if they had diseases or sick people there. I feel really bad that we can't give them any supplies when we see them, other than just a fair amount of food. I suppose it's better than nothing, but I hardly think it's sufficient for them considering how unbelievably hungry they must be. Still I can't blame myself; all I can really do is try even harder to ensure that we don't lose our troops yet again.

"OK listen up everyone I wanna get through all of this quick and clean. You hear me? Quick and clean! We've just got one more camp to go through before we'll be able to reach an allied Loweean camp, where we'll rest for the night. With luck we'll fare much better than last time. You've all done well everyone we just need to keep going, and we need to keep fighting for Lowee. Let's move out and stay sharp everyone." I order my troops only for us all to leave the camp, and walk through the forest.

We then move out by crouching for a bit followed by a bit of sprinting. While it does concern me that there are a lot of us leaving us prone to an ambush, it's good to know that Uni is watching above us via satellite and I know that if there are any enemies nearby she'll inform me immediately.

After moving out it's not long before I see the remains of a wooden house in the distance, which is a merely little more than a wall. If the resemblance to a certain level in a certain game which sounds like a fish means anything to me, there is probably an ambush nearby. I order my troops to stop only for Uni to mind talk to me.

"I'm pleased you stopped Black, next to the house are a large number of dead Team Rocket soldiers only they're not dead. They intend to ambush you." Uni informs me.

"Thanks a lot Uni." I reply with genuine gratitude.

Hmmm I must say while pretending to be dead would be a good tactic, as someone who would use this tactic myself whenever appropriate, I have to say it doesn't work on me. In any case if I see any dead enemy soldiers, I always fire at them to confirm that they're dead. I'd figured they try and do something like this considering what I've already seen here.

Since they've used a strategy, I ought to respond with one of my own. I order my own troops to lie on the ground aiming in front of them, waiting for the enemy to come to them. I meanwhile order my officers to come with me, to lure the ambushers into a false sense of security. My plan is to ambush the ambushers and then lure them to our troops, where hopefully we can wipe them out without too many casualties.

With the orders given me, White, Buck and Sully head to the damaged house. Just as Uni said I see plenty of so called dead Team Rocket troops, all over the area.

"What the hell?" Sully whispers.

"Who took these guys out?" Buck asks.

"I wonder if there's been an allied unit that's gone ahead of us and took them down." Sully asks us.

"There's only one way to find out!" I say while aiming at one of them.

Note: Readers please listen to Cod WAW Japanese Ambush while reading this bit:

The other 3 do the same and we shoot the bodies. We then find that the rest of them get up and before I know it, I see flashes of white light all over my vision and it's quite powerful. No doubt these flashes must come from their Pokémon but this surprises me. I can't help but wonder what Pokémon do they have at their disposal that is capable of such a move, not to mention is there such equipment that we can get to defend us from such an attack? I've got to admit I wasn't expecting them to have any Pokémon, let alone these sorts or even ones that can blind people. Still despite the blinding light we manage to run back and eventually the effect of the flash wears off on us, but we need to be able to defeat their Pokémon before they can attack again.

"Good work Voltorbs and Magnemites and Pikachu, it's not like we love you or anything. Banzai! It's not like we hate you or anything!" One of the female team rocket grunts yell at us, speaking in that familiar tone which reminds me of the personality trait I despise so much.

Thanks to our quick reactions, we don't get shot too much which is a relief as I do not wish to be wounded again. I'm reminded again that despite having plenty of health, it's easy for it to be lost when enough enemies are shooting at you. The thing is as I ran I dared not look back, none of us did as we didn't want to blinded again, it was bad enough as it was. I think I speak for all of us when I say I just saw nothing but bright white light.

At least we're with our army now ready to ambush them, and it's not long before I see dozens of Team Rocket groups performing a banzai charge against us. I must say it does intrigue me to find how a good portion of these troops are female, and yet all the females wear pig tails. The females are all talking like tsunderes and with much aggression, as they're eager to wipe us all out.

The thing is as soon as I give the order, we all open fire on them and we're able to wipe them out before they're even able to work out where we are. This pleases me greatly as not a single one of us has been shot and not a single one of has been stabbed. It's also good to see that we were not frightened of seeing such a large banzai charge compared to before, but then again perhaps it's down to us having more troops than in that charge before. As a matter of fact we've managed to wipe out the majority of an enemy ambush, without a single loss of our forces here all thanks to my strategy.

But while the majority of the ambush has been wiped out, I am concerned with the enemy Pokémon that are capable of blinding us with their flash attacks. I then ask Uni to see if the Pokémon are still flashing, only for her to say that they aren't. This is good as perhaps we can ambush them in return.

With this knowledge I lead my troops to positions near the hut, so that we're concealed while we have the ability to see the remaining enemy troops there. Once we're in position and we have our own targets, I order my own troops to open fire against them. Just like before we're able to wipe them out, without them being able to react against us. Even the boss there that was supposed to lead the ambush was no match for our relentless firing of our guns from our superior numbers of troops.

While I'm relieved to find that the Pokémon don't flash at us again, it brings me such grief that we are forced to kill the poor creatures purely because they're a threat to us. At least I remember that Pokémon could be revived when fallen from battle, I just hope that if we could capture them then we can revive them.

But before I could do anything about them, I then see about a dozen troops charging in as they hear gun fire and they see their comrade's fall in battle. Though they end up charging into our fire, and they have no idea of where we are. I then decide to mind talk to Uni.

"Uni are there any more enemies incoming?" I ask her by mind talk.

"Negative but the base is quite big, in fact it's the biggest you've yet to encounter. There are a few large buildings, a good number of bosses and it's guarded by machine guns and an army of about 1000 strong. There are even a few trucks in the area as well as a good number of supplies." She replies to me via mind talk.

1000? That's quite a large number compared to our forces. Hmmm trying to avoid casualties against that lot will surely be difficult. I thank Uni for the information and with that discussion I order my troops to follow me, as we look at the dead Pokémon as well as the Pokéballs so we can summon them back in.

"They don't look well fed at all; they appear to be in a rather rough shape. At least they're no longer suffering." I say with much sadness.

"How can Team Rocket mistreat even their own Pokémon that serve them in battle? Something tells me that they only know flash and they haven't been fed for a long time. How are they able to survive with no care, no food. It's despicable." She replies to me in disgust.

Though the sight of the poor Pokémon sickens us to no end, there is little we can do as we summon them in the poke balls and keep the balls for ourselves. It's perhaps for the best that they are taken back to Lastation when possible, where they'll be revived and well looked after.

With this done I try as best I can to come up with a strategy to defeat the enemies in the base. Hmmmm, after much thinking I realise that it's best if I can lure the enemy into an ambush, as very few if not none of our own troops die when we ambush the enemy. 1000 is a lot of enemies to deal with but if I can ambush them piece meal, then we should be able to take the camp without too many allied casualties. I think I know what to do.

I order my own troops to move forward but to move slowly until I can actually see the enemy troop deployment for myself, particularly at their defences which as Uni said is guarded by machine guns. Just as I suspected I then see few mounted machine guns that are at a fair distance, which are well guarded and are surrounded by sand bags. Oddly enough there is no fence of any sort what so ever that guards this perimeter, but there is a large path with a truck on it with its back towards us and it's guarded by about a dozen enemy infantry that patrols the area.

We're not spotted yet but we need to get into position, so I order my troops to go around quietly as well as to crouch or even go prone if need be, so that we're ready to attack the perimeter. Although I've done the best I can to have a good start on taking the camp, I do feel that once we attack their base the whole camp will be alerted even if their radios and alarms don't work due to the EMP from Uni.

I guess here goes nothing, I just know they'll be coming here but I give the order for our troops to shoot at the enemy at the perimeter. I just hope that my strategies will keep us all alive but all I can really do is do my best. The thing is without a mishap all the enemy troops at the perimeter have been shot, though it appears that there's more of them as dozens of enemy troops do a banzai charge, as they come rushing from the very perimeter that they were guarding. What's more is that the dead gunners are replaced by fresh crews, and they're quick to open fire.

Although our superior numbers and hiding places mean the banzai charge gets wiped out before they can even find any of our locations, the gunners don't appear to be regular soldiers as they don't go down with one shot from our rifles. Despite this concern it worries us not, as we're sure that the gunners are bosses and they just need to be shot more times before they will fall. The thing is the gunners are trying to find us, and it worries me a little that they'll use the muzzle flash from our guns as a guide to finding our exact location.

But even so although they managed to kill a few of our troops with this method, by that time the banzai charge has been dealt with allowing for our troops to focus their fire on the gunners. Because of this many shots have been fired at the boss, and their large health just isn't enough to cope with all the bullets that penetrate various parts of the body. This leaves them with a huge loss of blood, immense pain and eventually after a high enough dosage of bullets: a painful death.

Indeed despite the few casualties it is a very good start for us, it boosts my morale and perhaps that of our own troops to know how many casualties we have inflicted against them, compared to the little losses we had in this area.

Oddly enough though, I see no more enemy troops coming out to engage us whatsoever. In fact I don't even see anyone mounting the machine guns. I can't help but feel that they intend to wait for us to come in and do an ambush of their own, although I could do with so confirmation about this.

"Uni do you know where the enemies are positioned with regards the perimeter? We don't see any enemies approaching us." I ask her via mind talk.

"Yeah they are positioned some distance away from the perimeter in a line formation. Be advised they're all lying prone aiming in front of them, if you lot were to enter the base you're sure to get ambushed." She replies via mind talk.

"Thank you very much for the information Uni." I respond by mind talk in appreciation.

"No problem, I'll be sure to let you know of any other important information." Uni replied via mind talk sounding rather pleased.

I must say it's nice to have Uni helping me and I appreciate it very much as if it weren't for her, I'm not sure if I'd be able to fare as well as I did. Her help is definitely useful, particularly if I am to survive these engagements in the camp with minimum casualties.

The thing is now I have the knowledge; I need to put it into use. I decide to order my troops to crawl towards the sand bags while staying away from the path, which leads into the camp and into the enemy ambush.

It's not long before we split ourselves into two groups, where we'll crawl in a specific route towards each side which consist of sandbags.

As we crawl towards it I find myself feeling the grass which feels soft and moist, though it doesn't bother me. If anything what bothers me is that crawling to the sandbags will take quite a while, as even with the perk a colas we are moving rather slowly.

I don't really want to be taking too long as we are moving along the grass, crawling with our elbows and legs on the floor. This is because who's to say the enemies will come out to attack us or worse invade the allied camp? But what choice do I have as if we get up and rush to the sandbags, although we'd get there quicker would we get there at all due to us being shot by them? Mind you that would depend on who they'd be able to see from where they are, but I don't want to take that chance.

Although the crawling is a bit too slow to my liking, at least the sandbags are getting closer and closer. It's also really nice to see all of my troops crawling with me, without getting shot by the enemy. It shouldn't be too long now as I see my destination in sight and we move closer and closer. I try not to think about the concerns as I try and think that it could be worse, as at least I'm crawling on terrain that feels comfortable. Furthermore when the crawling is done we'll be rewarded with being able to wipe out the enemy without ourselves being wiped out, hopefully.

As I crawl along I wish I could do something to pass the time as I feel like I'm crawling for quite a while, but I daren't as I wish to stay focused on the mission at hand. It's just a little bit longer Black, just a little bit longer.

I eventually reach the sandbags along with my troops though it felt like quite a while of time has passed until that point. But what does it matter as we have made it. With the crawling done we get into action.

I realise that if we're to pop ourselves up in an attempt to shoot them, we'd get shot ourselves. Hmmm I need to find a way of shooting at them without being shot ourselves. I know we can blind fire, but ideally we'd need to be blind firing accurately. I quickly realise that this is a simple matter of trigonometry. I just need to work out the hypotenuse (which is the side opposite the right angle which is between the height of the gun when we blind fire, and the floor) which would require the height of the sand bags squared, plus the distance between us and the enemies (as they're all in formation) squared, and then square root the answer. Then using the appropriate equations which involve a combination of sine (ratio between the height of the gun when aiming in this case, and the hypotenuse), cosine (ratio between in this case the distance between the sandbags and the enemy, and the hypotenuse) and finally the tangent (ratio between the height and the distance), I'll be able to work out the angle I need to fire my weapon and inform my troops of this.

"Uni, do you happen to have any idea of the exact distance between us and the enemy line, as well as the height of the sandbags?" I ask her via mind talk.

"Ah let me guess you're going to use trigonometry to help blind fire accurately against the enemy line? Very good strategy, I can try and work it out for you if you wish? The distance is about 8 metres, and the height you'll need to blind fire effectively is about 1 metre." Uni informs me via mind talk, she sounds rather impressed with me and I like that very much.

I have to say it's nice that she's able to work out what I'm planning, she's just like our sister in how smart and kind she is and how we're able to think alike. I love how the CPUs and CPU Candidates also happen to be excellent at calculating stuff. While I know the formula for working out this problem, I still need to use her as my calculator to solve it.

Yeah it's great to know that I actually have such knowledge to work this problem out. I remember being good at trigonometry and doing well at mathematics, and it thrills me to know that I'm able to put this to good use especially at a time like this.

OK I remember SOHCAHTOA which basically means which out of sine, cosine and tangent do I need to use to solve this problem, considering what sides I know. I know the opposite (the height of the sand bags) and the adjacent (the distance between us and them) so the formula I need is tanx=opposite÷adjacent, where x is the angle between hypotenuse and adjacent. Therefore I know tanx= 1/8 and therefore I need to inverse tan.

"Uni what is inverse tan of 1/8?" I ask Uni via mind talk.

"It's approximately 7 degrees from the ground." Uni replies to me.

"Thanks a lot Uni much appreciated." I thank her with much gratitude.

"Anytime, I'm actually able to guide you so that you're able to aim correctly when you blind aim." She informs me.

I thank her again sounding rather pleased before asking White to copy the way I hold my gun, as well as to blind fire over the sand bags while holding the gun at the angle that Uni has calculated on my say so.

Although I am able to guess where I need to hold the gun approximately, it does take a bit of trial and error as Uni guides me with regards the angle I need to hold my weapon, but eventually I get it right.

Now it's just a matter of holding the gun in this position and not moving it, while the other troops copy the way I hold it.

I must admit this is quite a complicated method of ambushing the enemy but it's the only way I know to blind fire accurately, as my troops don't have the magnetic vision and I don't think our weapons can penetrate through sandbags unfortunately. I'm not even sure if my troops are able to hold their weapons in the same position as me, but they do their best and at least the targets form quite a large area on the ground. Some of them even aim with their left hand as they do their best to copy where I'm aiming.

It takes quite a while but I don't mind waiting and it's important to get this right. I must say I'm surprised to find that my arms don't ache, but I wonder whether it's down to the physics of this world. As a matter of fact I can't even feel the weight of the gun, just the wooden exterior of this semi-automatic rifle. Although my strategy involves maths and I'm confident in my abilities, pulling this off in this world is quite the feat and it makes me feel nervous. I'm concerned it could go wrong but what other methods do I have to do this? At least trigonometry is a novel one.

Eventually after some time the troops signal me that they're ready to go, and I then give the signal to fire. With the signal given we carefully lift our rifles up, so that we maintain the angle of where we're aiming while ensuring that we can shoot over the sandbag, and then we all fire a bullet in unison.

Despite firing in unison the enemy fires back, though the enemy fire doesn't appear to be as intense as we feared. At least the bullets don't hit our troops, although I do order them to keep their weapons close to them so they don't get shot off their hands.

"Good news Black, your unison blind fire worked. Well done I'm proud of you and it's great to see that trigonometry has helped you in your ambush. As a matter of fact it has killed the majority of the enemy line, now it's just a matter of wiping out the remaining enemy troops." Uni mind talks to me sounding very pleased and enthusiastic, as well as pride for me and how well I've done.

"Yeah I must say I'm real pleased that my trigonometry has in fact worked. It's so awesome but I am starting to get concerned that due to them hearing gun fire, they may be requesting reinforcements to come in and assist their position." I speak to her by mind talk with much pride in my voice as I'm excited with my success.

"True but don't worry I'll keep you informed of any enemy reinforcements. Oh speaking of which I see a few bosses approaching your location. They look rather tough but I'm confident that you and your troops will mop them up, and the rest of this base." Uni informs me.

Hmmm I figured a few bosses would be joining the fight, but they shouldn't be too difficult. Realising that my troops will no doubt die if they poke their heads out as trigonometry won't work this time, I decide to change tactic which is to use my magnetic vision and fire from cover accordingly, perhaps only exposing myself if need be.

Both me and White use our magnetic vision while Buck and Sully try and kill as many enemies as possible with a mixture of blind firing, and leaning from cover to fire at them. But while the four of us are attacking the enemy, the rest of our troops are hiding behind the sandbags making sure they don't get shot.

This new strategy of mine proves to be rather effective, as none of our troops are dying and we're able to wipe out the enemy line before the bosses are able to reinforce their position. The thing is that while me and White don't get shot very often as we're rather careful, Buck and Sully are eventually forced to hide as they get shot enough times to take its toll on their health. While the two aren't dying they are wounded quite badly which does worry me a bit, but if I can keep them alive then they'll be fine.

I actually see the bosses through the sandbags with my magnetic vision on, they move slowly with their Type 99s in their hands though they appear to have taped magazines allowing them to reload quicker. There are about 4 of them but only two of us can ideally take them on.

I guess there's nothing for it but to use the same method that me and White used against the enemy troops, but somehow I don't think it will be as effective although what other methods can I use that doesn't involve our troops dying.

Indeed as me and White attack one of the bosses together with our automatic weapons, we find that it's not doing much damage. As a matter of fact we both fire an entire magazine into the enemy, and it doesn't even wound them at all. Although we don't expose ourselves to their fire we do find that a lot of their fire is concentrated towards us, since we're both crouching next to each other.

I realise now that the bosses are firing at the centre and with this knowledge, I work out that their flanks are exposed. I wonder if I can exploit this hmmmm. I give the order for my troops to the furthest left and furthest right to open fire against the bosses, and for my troops to keep firing until they either need to reload or the bosses face them and aim their guns.

After giving the order I become anxious as to whether the troops will be able to strike, without getting shot themselves. After hearing the shots I'm pleased that Uni confirms to me that none of our troops have died, but unfortunately the amount of bullets that hit the bosses are still not enough to kill them.

Worse still is that the enemies are moving closer, but surprisingly two of them (the ones who have been shot by our allied troops) are now distracted by those troops. They move towards our allies and try and shoot them down, only to be shooting at sandbags because I've ordered my troops to duck.

I quickly realise that with the two of them moving towards and focusing on the very ends of the sandbags, they're now exposed or at least they will be. If I can just get my soldiers to strike when they're all reloading, it's just such a shame that they all have dual magazines and there's always at least one of them firing.

I decide to wait until the distracted bosses are further away from the other 2, and perhaps then I'll order my troops closest to us to ambush them. I just hope that it would be enough to kill them, or at least significantly wound them. In the meantime both me and White shoot at our targets again, though this time after firing an entire clip of bullets our target is wounded. The thing is I notice how the injuries are minor, and his health is still at about 50% I'd say. Hmmm I guess a couple more clips of concentrated fire should do the trick, but they are getting closer and closer to the sandbags. It'll only be a matter of time before they reach our position and wipe us all out, or at least a good number of us. This isn't good, I guess there's nothing for it but to give the order to our troops.

The troops that are closest to me then open fire on the distracted bosses, but while it got their attention it is rather unfortunate that just like last time it did little damage. The attack has not even wounded any of them. This is not ideal at all since not even that had managed to kill them, and they're soon going to be in a position where they get to wipe us out. It's inevitable and it is such a shame that I am doing my absolute best to keep my troops alive, but no doubt they'll be quickly wiped out by these bosses. I just wish something can happen to change our seemingly sealed fates.

Oddly enough as opposed to constantly trying to shoot us by keeping us pinned down, they change their tactic which is to perform a banzai charge against us, and run as fast as they can despite the heavy weapons that they carry. I guess there's nothing for it, so I order all of my troops to open fire on these 4 bosses. I just know that they'll survive the shooting and they'll just wipe us all out, but it may be our last shot. It has to work I mean with before I was only using a few of our troops to deal with them at certain intervals, if I use every troop available to attack simultaneously then we might just stand a chance.

I guess here goes nothing, I order all of my troops to attack the bosses as best they could while they're sprinting at quite the slow pace. Amazingly the immense amount of bullets that our troops have fired is enough for all 4 bosses to fall, as the countless bullets that hit them prove too much for them. They lose a lot of their blood, and the bullets hurt them rather badly to the point where they scream in agonising pain before dying.

After seeing the bosses die I find myself breathing heavily from the relief of it all, and I look at my soldiers to see looks of relief as well. But I somehow doubt that this is the last of the bosses, therefore I then speak to Uni so I can be updated with our situation.

"Uni are there any more enemy troops incoming to our position?" I ask her.

"Negative, but there are still hundreds of troops in this camp as well as a few bosses. They're split into groups and are in the 3 main areas of the camp which are: the large hut to the back, the supply room to the left and the various huts to the right. They're waiting for you lot to come to them as they know you wish to take their camp. I also see at least a dozen snipers in the large hut and I have reason to believe that the troops guarding the various huts intend to perform a banzai charge, should they see you attempt to capture one of their areas." She informs me via our special means of communication.

"Thank you for the information it's much appreciated and it's very useful, it's good to know that it's at least the last of them." I reply to her.

Yeah I am somewhat relieved to know that it is just them that we have to deal with now, but it's still a lot of troops we have to deal with though. Still in any case once they're defeated the camp will be enemy free, and once the camp is enemy free then it's a home run to allied territory. Hmmm the thing is there is still the matter of coming up with a strategy to defeat the enemy, without the loss of many of our troops.

With what Uni says they intend to wait for us to come to them, only to then attack our forces on 3 sides. I distinctly remember her saying that there are snipers in the building furthest away from us. I wonder if I was to send our own snipers to attack them, then maybe we can provoke the enemy into coming towards us and hopefully we can at least wipe that group out. Somehow I doubt it but the enemy snipers still need dealing with in any case.

After a short while of taking in what Uni said as well as coming up with a strategy, I order my snipers to crawl forward until the building is within their range. While they move forward the rest of us hide behind the sandbags, hoping to give them covering fire.

They move quite slowly but I completely understand due to how slow we all were, when we were crawling towards the sandbags.

After some time has passed they get within range, and I then see them attacking the enemy snipers. I'm pleasantly surprised to see that none of our own snipers have fallen though this must be down to them not being spotted, as opposed to the enemy who lean out of the windows keeping their eye out for us. For a short while I hear the allied snipers firing shot after shot, but soon afterwards they stop. I can only assume that they have killed all the targets. It is then I hear Uni speak to me with some good news.

"I can confirm that the enemy snipers are wiped out, however the enemy refuses to come out. It looks like you'll have to come to them and embrace their potential attack." Uni informs me via mind talk.

I thank her for the information afterwards. It is quite a pity as how am I supposed to protect my troops when the enemy will come at that them from all sides, unless…. I know the enemy intends to attack us as soon as they see us, but I don't think they know how many of us there are. Therefore…yes I have the very idea for this.

I order my troops to keep watch in front of them, and for them to wipe out any enemy troops that come their way. Meanwhile I order White to come with me and move forward, so that we're within sight of the supply depot and the huts. Both of us move cautiously as I know that the enemy will be able to strike us with enough fire power to kill us. We just need to lure them out, I just hope that the mere spotting of us will be enough to lure them towards our allied troops.

It's not long at all before we're both near the enemies line of sight, the both of us then give a nod to each other to wish us good look before we move in to position. As Uni said there are dozens of troops on either side, and as expected they spotted us both.

As soon as they have spotted us we leg it back. As we run as fast as our perk a colas enable us to, I am really pleased to hear the enemy yell banzai as well as for Uni to say they're charging towards us. I find this to be a very pleasant surprise considering I expected them to defend their position, now we can just wipe perhaps an entire garrison of at least one section of this camp with one stroke.

As me and White run towards the sandbags, I then see our troops firing at the enemy as soon as they're able to see them. We quickly go prone and look at the enemy as they're quickly dying in the dozens. The moment they appear before us they get shot down or at least not very long after.

For me it's so wonderful to see this, and it's so nice that for once we've managed to defeat enemies in an area without losing too many of our own troops. Eventually after we all wipe out these guys we then see dozens more in the distance, no doubt they are from the large hut to the front of us at quite a distance away from us. The thing is just like with the enemies from before, as soon as they're within range we eliminate them as soon as possible. It's not long before I see lots of dead bodies scattered about, it's almost like a wall of them have been formed from where they have fallen. A lot of their blood has been spilt as well and it covers quite a large area, including their own bodies that are full of holes.

"Excellent strategies Black they're more than paying off. In just that plan alone you lot have managed to wipe out dozens, if not a few hundred of the enemy right there. Unfortunately while all the enemies in the huts have been killed, there are still the supply depot and large hut to deal with and these are guarded by dozens of troops and a couple of bosses. They're defending these buildings as best they can and they have no intention of surrendering.

I also wish to inform you that the supply depot has a strong metal door that is opened, but one of them intends to shut the door should he see you and he has a group with him. It is important that the door remains open should the supply depot be taken." Uni informs via mind talk.

I then thank her for the information. Although there doesn't seem to be as many enemies to deal with than compared to earlier in the night, something tells me that they might be more difficult to defeat especially considering it will be close quarters. Another thing I have to take into consideration is that even now we're still outnumbered. I suppose it is to be expected, the final part in this battle tonight will be the hardest.

While I know we need to secure the entrance to the supply depot before the door shuts, trying to come up with an effective means of wiping out that garrison isn't easy without avoiding casualties. All I can really come up with is to just send in myself, White and all the semi-automatic riflemen and sub machine gunners that we have, which are only about at least 50. I just hope our superior weapons and perk a colas will defeat their superior numbers, but what else can I do? They won't be lured out like last time that's for sure.

It's not long after thinking of this plan before I give the appropriate orders and we then charge ahead to the supply depot. As I charge ahead I find that none of us are being shot at by the garrison in the large hut, though perhaps this is down to them retreating from our snipers.

When we reach the supply depot entrance we see that just as Uni said that there are a group of enemies at the door, including one with their hands on the metal door which is surrounded by concrete walls as well a ceiling. The moment we actually spot them we shoot them all down before they're able to do anything else. Another group comes in, in a desperate attempt to hold us off but they too fall by us before they're even able to shoot back. After dealing with that group we then walk towards the entrance itself, aiming our guns so that we can shoot at any enemy that dares to challenge us.

The thing is we find that no more of them come out, and Uni confirms that they're hiding in the area itself behind various boxes and barrels. As soon as she says this I rush straight for the depot only for my allies to follow suit. The moment I reach the entrance is the moment that I stop and use my magnetic vision, so I can have a proper look at the terrain in this supply depot.

Hmmmmm, it's a make shift warehouse and it's just one small room for the entrance, followed by a much larger room where all the supplies are being held. The supplies consists of various items from ammo crates, to crates full of the weapons I've seen in this area, to food supplies as well as other vital things like uniforms, tools, fuel and various other items that are needed to help them survive out here. I then see that they're packed in wooden boxes, and hiding behind them are grunts armed with Arisakas with a bayonet attached. Of course there is also a fairly powerful boss here, but I just hope that he wouldn't be too difficult to defeat. With all the supplies I see here it would definitely be wise to loot the lot, when we've defeated the enemy here they'll definitely be very useful for our Loweean allies.

After looking at the terrain with my vision I sneak in with White to a hiding spot so we can distract the enemy, while our troops can enter the warehouse and apply more pressure against them. As I creep past the boxes I look with my vision to find the enemy aiming their rifles at the entrance, though they're none the wiser about our presence.

As soon as we're in position we open fire against them and wipe out a good few of them. Many of them have no idea of our position and those few that spot us, get shot down rather quickly. After which our own troops open fire against them, while a good number of our troops charge in to find a hiding place before taking pot shots at any enemy troops they see.

I'm pleasantly surprised to see how well this is going, as the amount of boxes scattered throughout the place prove to be their downfall. This is down to how they're unable to see everything and they're all pretty much confused with where we're are, as they get shot down pretty quickly as soon as we spot them. They're also scattered all over the place meaning we can take them down without much fear from getting shot ourselves.

This proves to be too much for them and the enemy ends up resorting to the usual desperate tactic: The Banzai charge. They yell with much bravery in their voices before charging at us. It's not long before we see them come charging in as they try and climb over different boxes. But despite their numbers and how they're all charging at once, it does not scare us one bit as we mow them down with our superior fire power. A short while later there are no more enemy grunts as they're all dead, while some of their bodies are draping over different boxes with their blood covering the wood.

Although Uni confirms the garrison here to be wiped out, she says there is a boss in there still. But oddly enough the boss won't move to attack us, instead he's waiting. I can only assume he intends to ambush us if we were to just look at the supplies, thinking we've defeated them. I have to say it's pretty cold of him to not help out his dying soldiers, then again do any of the officers have any conscience what so ever with what they're doing? I'm just glad I'm not like that and I'm pleased that my thinking tonight has kept our troops alive.

Hmmmm that boss even if he seems to be cold hearted he's still strong according to what Uni said. I just know he'll deal a good amount of damage to me and White, as well as kill a lot of our troops if we're to send them against him.

"I have an idea in defeating the boss here, we send the rest of the troops back out and you make out that it's just you here. With luck he'll come to you and then I'll be able to ambush him from the top of the boxes. If we can disarm him then hopefully we can kill him without the fear of losing too much health." I suggest to her by mind talk.

"Good idea." She nods to me.

"Excellent work everyone, head back to your allies. I'll just take a quick look at the supplies." My female ally calls out.

After which I then see all of us except for us two moving out of the depot to regroup with our allies outside. As I hoped I then see the boss heading towards White who I notice to be distinctly large.

Then begins the rest of our plan as while White walks around casually looking at the different supplies, I silently and quickly climb up the boxes while staying close to her, ready to pounce on the boss with my knife. If I can ride on him for long enough, I should be able to stab him enough times to kill him without receiving any damage from him hopefully.

It's not long before I'm standing on a box next to the boss as he aim's his weapon at White's head. Before he can fire his gun I drop down on him, coiling my left arm around his neck and wrapping around my legs with a firm grip so I don't fall off him. As soon as I'm secure I get to work by repeatedly stabbing him in his head. Although he drops his gun and initially he's wandering around aimlessly with White shooting at him as well, it's not long before he's able to retaliate by ramming me on a few boxes. The pain from the impact forces me to lose my grip and he then grabs hold of both my hands, before throwing me off.

I find myself flying upside down in the air before crashing into some boxes, hurting my back quite badly. I then land on my head quite hard and right now I'm feeling groggy, as I'm lying on the floor in serious pain.

At least my health isn't critical but from the throw and collision with the boxes my pain takes its toll on me, and it's difficult to carry on fighting. Although White is able to shoot at the boss, it doesn't take long for our foe to get his powerful weapon back and fire in retaliation. Despite my body not wanting to carry on I fire my sub machine gun at him. Eventually after us both coordinating our fire against him he becomes wounded, as I can tell from his body language that he's starting to ache and wounds appears on his body, but this doesn't prevent him from carrying on. I then see White hiding away from him only to then climb on the boxes ready to do the same trick that I used against him. He then turns to face me and fires his magazine at me, with every shot that is fired hitting me and hurting me real badly. It's very difficult to ignore the pain and my body language is probably indicating that I'm in serious agony, as well as suffering from the relentless bullets that pound into my body. Although my health is still fairly alright after him shooting me, my body is in no fit state to continue and I think my enemy knows this. By this point White lands on him just as I did and gets to work stabbing him repeatedly, while with all my strength and will power ignoring my body's request to rest and recover, I fire my sub machine gun at him.

It is now that the stabbings and bullets take their toll on our opponent too, and it's clear that his body is losing the will to continue as his body is covered in bullet holes and his head is covered in stab wounds and scars. Despite his predicament and low health he manages to back White into a big hard box, before grabbing her hands and throwing her towards me.

When she lands on me my body feels crushed, perhaps down to him throwing her at me. Now I'm really struggling to find the will to carry on, but fortunately White doesn't seem to be as injured as I am as while he looks for his gun again, she fires her machine gun at him which does enough damage to finally kill him once and for all.

While it does relieve us to find that he is finally dead, both me and to a lesser extent White ache quite badly. I don't even feel like moving, I just want to lie down and rest, let my body recover and get rid of the immense pain that I'm suffering. Everywhere aches, my back, my chest, my stomach. Although I wish to carry on and finish off this camp and deal with the remaining garrison, my body does not and even if it did I'd prefer to go at higher health and not be in so much pain. I wonder what's in that final garrison. I hope it's nothing too bad.

"Uni, do you know what's in that final garrison?" I ask her via mind talk.

"Yes there are dozens of rifle men along with a dozen machine guns on stands, as well as 3 bosses armed with machine guns. The area consists of one large room surrounded by 3 smaller rooms, with which you can enter the area by. They're all in the large area.

Are you alright, I'm pleased you're all still alive but I'm concerned about you being hurt after dealing with that boss." Uni explains before sounding genuinely concerned and friendly.

"Thanks for the information. Unfortunately although I wish I could carry on, I don't know if I'm in the best shape to carry on and I need to be with my troops to give out the orders. Do you know if their medical supplies would be any good in patching us up?" I ask her trying to sound hopeful.

"They should do but unfortunately their equipment appears to be inferior to ours, so I'm not sure if they'd do a good job." Uni speaks to me sounding apologetic and slightly depressed with the response.

"All I can do is just hope it does and if not I'll have to think of something, thanks Uni." I reply to her.

As I ache I find that I'm quite annoyed with myself particularly with that boss fight I had earlier.

"It's all my fault if we just flanked and attacked him and not bothered trying to ride on him and stab him, we wouldn't be in this amount of pain." I say to White sounding quite depressed.

It is then White manages to get up and have a look around for any supplies that would prove useful.

"It's alright, I mean at least our health is higher and besides which it was a good idea to do so, as if we were able to ride on him for longer we could have stabbed him enough times without him harming us what so ever. I mean your plan was a good one, just as all the other ones that helped keep our troops alive." She replies to me sounding rather happy, trying to cheer me up.

"Yeah you're right it's more down to bad luck than anything, I mean we effectively stunned him with our stabbing. I just hope that there are supplies to heal us, otherwise what choices do we have? Do we wait until our bodies have healed and stopped aching in which case it would take a couple of hours, by that time there maybe enemy reinforcements or worse the enemies will over run the allied camp. Or do we just attack their final garrison now, even though we're not in the best shape to fight and neither is Buck or Sully and without us leading our troops, I'm concerned with regards what will happen to them without us being at full strength. They have quite the strong garrison in there and I'm not sure we can avoid significant casualties with the predicament we're in. Oh what to do? What to do?" I say to her sounding quite stressed.

Yeah I just hope their medicine will do the trick, but as I said to White what action should I take and if I am to attack their garrison now, what strategy should I use? Hmmm that obstacle proves to be rather difficult right now, but I will not give in. I will find a way to ensure we persevere and make it to the allied camp, where we will be able to rest and we will be able to use these supplies to help our allies. I can't help but wonder how they're holding out, I hope they're ok. For their sake whatever the outcome is we mustn't let our predicament stop us, as all of our lives as well as Gameindustri depends on it.
