Chapter 88: Maximum Resistance Part 2
Note: Before Chapter 88, I would like to wish my fans a Happy New 2016 as well as to thank you for following and favouriting me, along with the reviews which has helped me write better.
"…perish at the hands of the Wei officers and there has been no radio traffic from him. As a matter of fact, they believe that Oichi is the sole survivor and she has defected to the Loweean resistance.
Unfortunately due to it being known that the Wei officers fight for Lastation and they're only permitted to head there so they can take part in the Pokémon battle, they are forced to leave Lowee as joining the fight will be considered a declaration of war. With this said, White will be healed and be sent back to Viridian Forest with allied troops really soon.
Furthermore there is an allied camp near your position which consists of about a dozen or so soldiers, the problem is that with the amount of enemies patrolling as well as some that are rushing to assist their allies in skirmishes, I have reason to believe that the place will be overrun soon." Uni informs me via mind talk.
"Thanks a lot for the information Uni, it's good to know that with Nobunaga's death being confirmed we can now charge in. Please let us know if there any more skirmishes and camps both allied and enemy near our position." I reply via the same method, deeply relieved to hear the good news.
"Will do, unfortunately there's not much time as despite the best efforts of our allies, and although they're doing well in wiping out numerous Team Rocket grunts, they are falling at a fair pace and it won't be long before the allied forces crumble. Worse still is that the supply truck will be there soon, and the allied forces are nowhere near the checkpoint which remains heavily defended, and there are reinforcements pouring in to bolster its defences as well.
Then there is the fact that the Leanbox invasion will occur at any moment, meaning I will no longer be able to assist, although I will keep helping you here for as long as I can." Uni replies trying to sound positive despite the concerns of the situation.
Yes this is a deep concern as this battle is very important, if the supplies get through then Team Rocket will be able to launch a missile at us and although it won't be as powerful as Leanbox's nukes, it will cause a war between both Lastation and Team Rocket, a war which must be avoided if we are to stand a chance as a free nation. If we can capture the supplies it won't just be a setback for Team Rocket in trying to provoke war, it will help us in trying to cut off supplies via Viridian Forest in hopes that we can eventually recapture Pallet Town and Viridian City, as well as Route 1 and Viridian Forest allowing us to grow and to move on to conquer the rest of the Kanto region.
Although it is a pity that even if we can succeed in our mission I may not be on the side I want to be by tomorrow, and this victory may end up being a pyric one, I have to keep going as I am certain Oichi will help with the brain washing, and I am certain we can succeed even if Uni is forced to seeing to the repelling of the Leanbox invasion.
Still I need to keep focusing on the task at hand, and with the knowledge that Nobunaga is dead as well as the fact that attacking them will not arouse suspicion and cause war, we are free to advance and to fight the enemy which is what we intend to do.
Note: Readers please listen to Cod World at War Ost Wild Card while reading this:
Me and Oichi then charge in only to find that amongst the trees, there are plenty of Team Rocket grunts trying to pin us down with various weapons. There are even a good number of them who rise up from amongst the grass from where they have been lying down on, in hopes of trying to take us out by surprise as well as to intimidate us by doing a banzai charge. Worse still is that there are a couple of radio men trying to call for help although at least I somehow manage to shoot them both down before they can radio for help.
With the immense number of them that we have to face, it is a bit of a shame that despite Lastation having the ability to perform air strikes from our superior aircraft, or missile strikes against Team Rocket which would surely shatter their troops, especially with how they don't occupy the skies, doing so would no doubt cause a war, and so it's just myself and Oichi against these guys.
Even though we manage to wipe them out one by one fairly quickly, and the ones that perform banzai charges get mowed down by our guns, while we move back and reload when appropriate, I notice how they appear to fight to the death for every last centimetre of this place. They know that after seeing their comrades falling so easily that they have no chance against us, yet because they know they can at least stall us they continue to do so, which isn't good for us at all.
Although this appears to be a fight we will eventually win, we do get hit a fair amount of times by them, and so I just try and kill them as quickly as possible even if it means getting hit more, while Oichi does the same as at least we have plenty of health again at this stage.
While we do eventually manage to wipe out the enemies in this area, because of how there a fair amount of them attacking us at once, I find that it's taken too long for that part of the area to be cleared which worries me a fair amount, but still we must advance as there's little we can do about that.
I then pick up one of the Type 100s fallen on the ground before we carry on rushing again to the nearby allied camp which Uni mentioned, but suddenly as I rush along past, an enemy grunt stands up in front of me and tries to stab me with his bayonet, though fortunately I push the rifle away only for me to shoot him in the head. A couple more then pop out from amongst the trees but they then get shot down by Oichi.
The thing is that another one pops out afterwards though this time he is armed with a Type 99, and he appears to be a boss. Furthermore as opposed to just exposing himself and opening fire, he leans from his cover and fires his Type 99 at us, forcing us to take cover as he's not exposed enough to be shot easily.
We try and take him on two different sides while he fires the last of his bullets, before he is required to reload his gun which should take a long time.
As he does so both myself and my ally charge in and fire our ammunition at him. Although we had to reload our guns once before he died by us, he wasn't able to reload his gun in time in part due to having to flinch a lot from us firing at him.
While I'm relieved that this boss didn't require much time to take down and now I have a Type 99 with a bayonet attached, I have a feeling that they will be more bosses to come as we head closer and closer to our targets. But we waste no time being concerned about that fact, as we continue to rush forward only to find that nearby there were more ambush troops including enemies with bayonets who tried to charge at us.
Like before, we manage to wipe out the ones who charge at us with bayonet with ease, but the ones that fire bullets at us take longer to take down, as they are hiding amongst the trees but because of the gun I have now, at least I can use my visions to kill the enemy at a distance without exposing myself to them, allowing my health to not fall as fast as it did earlier.
Unlike before however, a boss shows up carrying a Type 99 with a bayonet which he uses to fire at us, although as soon as he finishes firing at us instead of reloading like the previous boss, he charges at us although the weight of the gun slows him down quite a lot, allowing us to fire at him and kill him before he gets within striking distance.
It is then I hear Uni speaking to me via mind talk.
"The good news is that the allied camp is just up ahead, the bad news is that it's already being attacked by enemy skirmishes and enemy reinforcements are on route to the camp, some of them are standing between you and that place. If you continue heading the direction you're travelling past the allied camp, there is an enemy camp full of supplies and a map of the area which includes the checkpoint we need to take.
Unfortunately the Leanbox invasion has been spotted, so I'm afraid you're on your own until the Leanbox invasion force is dealt with and I can then return." Uni informs me via mind talk trying to sound upbeat, despite being forced to leave us so she can deal with the Leanbox invasion.
"It's alright thanks a lot Uni, good luck in repelling Leanbox once again, I'm sure you'll do well just as we will." I reply to her trying to cheer her up.
With the conversation finished we then rush forward only for me to see in the distance a few dozen grunts running away armed with rifles, no doubt to reinforce their allies just as Uni said they would. With this information I order my ally Oichi to run towards them, while I climb a tree to see if I can pick them off at a distance.
Fortunately I just manage to pick them off from my position and with Oichi firing at them as well, we are successful in stopping their advance and now they are focused in trying to kill us. This pleases me as now the allied camp is relieved even if it is by a small amount. But I soon realise that the allied camp is still in danger of being overrun, and with the group I am dealing is a boss armed with a Type 99, as well as a pig tailed female boss armed with dual wield Nambu pistols.
And so with their leadership, they are able to get their troops to hide amongst the trees, so that as well as trying to put up a fight as best as they could, they are also trying to buy time for their allies as well, not to mention trying to call for help by the radio people mentioning that Oichi is here. This isn't good but at least I do manage to kill a few enemies though it takes far too long for my liking, while Oichi herself tries to get within range and engages the enemy there.
As I engage the enemy I try and take note of their positions, as well as to come up with strategies so I can kill them faster, but unfortunately there doesn't seem to be a better alternative other than to just hide up here and take them out one by one. Still at least Oichi fighting them helps, as they have two people to deal with as opposed to just one.
Eventually as we take them out one by one, I find that the bosses as well as a fair amount of troops manage to pin Oichi down, and she's no longer able to advance and take them down, forcing her to remain at her position and to fire as best she could. At least I'm still able to take out the enemies though it is at a much slower pace as they constantly fire at me, taking portions of my health as I try to take them down as quickly as I can, which unfortunately is not enough.
Oh dear I just hope that the allied camp is still ok, it's too bad Uni can't say though I don't blame her for this, I can't imagine them being able to hold much longer at the rate we are going, but still what can I do but carry on even if it looks very bleak.
After some time has passed which I'm unsure how long that time is, I manage to defeat the enemy grunts that are attacking me, leaving me to deal with those that are attacking Oichi who I'm relieved to see is still alive, although I do believe that the enemy fire is starting to take a toll on her as she's been hit a good number of times, though at least she manages to wipe out a fair amount of grunts attacking her.
I manage to ambush the grunts first as with them being occupied with my ally, they are exposed to my line of fire although I only manage to kill some of them in this way, as the rest then attempt to deal with me. Yet again I find that it takes some time to take care of them, but at least it doesn't seem to last as long as before, and so now it is just me and Oichi against the male and female bosses.
Rather than trying to shoot at them from a distance, I decide to jump down and attack them from up close because I believe I can fight theses bosses more effectively, if I can stab the bayonet into them, as that is what has helped to defeat Noh.
I manage to move quietly but quickly towards them, while they're both completely occupied with dealing with Oichi, which pleasantly surprises me as I would have thought that they'd notice me defeating their grunts. When I am behind the male officer as close as I dare, I wait for the correct moment to strike, which is to be when he has to reload his gun. As soon as I get the appropriate cue I stab him with the bayonet on his back, before firing an entire magazine into it causing him to yell in pain.
The cry for help alerts the female boss and so I'm forced to let go before I switch to my Type 100, and to shoot at the female to hinder her from pulling the bayonet out, as I notice his health deteriorating quite rapidly. Unfortunately this isn't enough as she manages to pull the bayonet out although at least Oichi is able to shoot at them both, causing a bit of damage while the duo are busy dealing with the bayonet.
After this the female then deals with Oichi while the male boss tries to reload his gun, I meanwhile manage to holster my gun and pick up the Type 99 only for me to reload it quickly before I fire at him again. The amount of damage inflicted against him is increasingly evident, due to his body language and the amount of blood from his numerous bullet holes. I then throw the bayonet into him again, though this time it knocks him down onto the floor where he tries so hard to pull it out, but the thing is the pain proves too much for him and he eventually dies after struggling to barely pull the bayonet out.
Now it's just the female left to deal with who by now she is clearly wounded, though not serious enough to hinder her. I then reload my gun and open fire against her and do the same again after having to reload, with just two clips of my gun she falls to the ground dead as like him, the damage proves to be way too much.
With the time it's taken to get through that lot, I am convinced that the camp has been overrun although we still rush ahead as we won't let the possibility of the worst, stop us from performing our duty.
There is at least some hope as soon after we do some more running, I see two groups of about half a dozen people engaging our allies with their backs towards us. They get taken out with little difficulty and I can't help but notice how they were standing next to a few dozen dead comrades of theirs, suggesting to me that our allies have managed to put up a good fight which relieves me and pleases me a good amount.
With them dealt with we then move forward to see the allied camp, which is in an open area surrounded by countless trees. Although I have expected it to be poor due to the number of patrols, it still shocks me even though I have seen a camp like this before. I also notice how Oichi looks ever so appalled to see the people in this state.
The camp only consists of about a dozen or so tents, though many of them are old and full of holes and stains which emit various horrific smells. I don't see anything else here though, no fire, no possessions other than guns and the bags that the fallen have carried, and as a matter of fact the majority of people who had to live there have died, perhaps many of them died from starvation and from the terrible conditions here as opposed to dying in combat.
The few that are still alive who appear to be about a dozen in number who hide behind logs used as makeshift cover, look little better as they don't appear to have had a decent meal in who knows how long, and I can see it in their bodies. They also appear tired and show various severe symptoms of different deadly illnesses due to the horrific conditions here due to lack of medicine, food, sanitation and decent accommodation. The only clothes they have are what they wear right now, but sadly that too is horrible as there are numerous stains and tears on their cardigans, t shirts and shorts.
It pains me to know that this time as opposed to having any supplies for them, they have to wait until we can capture the enemy camp, and I worry that they may not be able to last much longer and I don't feel they're in any fit state to fight. It's ever so dreadful to see them like this and I can deeply tell how Oichi is deeply saddened to see them like this.
Because of how Oichi has defected and I am disguised as a Team Rocket grunt, they start opening fire at us but when no bullets come out they smile relieved, pleased to see her again. Unfortunately we have no time to talk as I see the enemy coming from the other side, after having wiped out the allied troops stationed there, apart from a brave couple who still survive only to then die shortly afterwards.
Due to my instinct telling me that they recognise Oichi, we both agree to let her take charge of the allied forces here, and she orders our troops to take cover and to repel the enemy assault as best we could.
Although we do our best to find cover and to fight the enemy, the odds don't look good as in contrast to our troops, the enemies are much larger in number and are in a much better shape to fight than my guys are. Not only this but they are accompanied by a few bosses (2 males and 1 female), who appear to be quite powerful and carry with them a Type 99, a Type 100 and dual wield pistols. And while one of the allied troops is the leader of the camp and has a Type 100 himself as well as himself being a boss like the enemy, he is severely wounded although he is still doing his utmost to keep the enemy at bay, as he leans from his tent while trying to shoot the enemy down one at a time.
At least myself and Oichi are still in a condition to take them on, but I would be pleasantly surprised if any of the allies manage to survive this fire fight, and even though I know there are skirmishes between both allied and enemy troops, I'm certain that the allies will probably perish by the time we get there.
In fact just as I feared as we shoot down the enemy troops, they shoot at us back and although myself and my ally are able to survive the shots, the allied troops fall in just one barrage of fire, as there's far too many of them. Even the allied boss himself falls eventually despite being able to take out a good number of the enemy, they just didn't stand a chance and I feel ever so awful and depressed for not being able to rescue them in time.
I can sense the anger from my female colleague as well as the sadness that she feels, desperately trying so hard not to break down in tears from seeing them die, as well as to see them suffer in such horrid conditions. It bothers me a lot to the point where it's hard for me to want to carry on and it's a shame how they weren't able to fight with us, and even though their numbers are diminished by a fair amount, there are still a good number of enemies to deal with.
Knowing that it's just us two and knowing that we have cover in contrast to them being exposed, the grunts attempt a banzai charge against us only for just over half of them to get mowed down by our fire, before we're forced to abandon our cover so we can gain some distance so we can reload and wipe out the rest of them.
It's just the enemy bosses now and I can sense from their body language that they enjoy seeing our body language and our reactions, to seeing our allies suffer in appalling conditions only for them to die by them, it's horrific and disgusts and angers me. Although I am confident that we can survive this fight, I am not convinced that we can survive without being significantly wounded as there are 3 of them to face, and they do look pretty tough.
After a stare down which probably lasted for a few seconds, the 2 males attack me while the female with the pistols attack Oichi. I shoot at the one with the Type 99 while the two males shoot at me, but I am rather worried that the shots hurt and I feel concerned about my health decreasing. I soon realise that I need to have the range so that I can reduce the Type 100 boss's effectiveness in this fight, and I also have the ability to run faster than them, even with the weapons I have on me.
I decide to reload and fire at the Type 99 enemy again, while they have to reload before I then rush to the nearest hiding place I can find. Although I get shot a few times as I run away from them, at least it's not as much as last time and now they are forced to reload their weapons again. With this advantage I waste no time in firing at the same boss again, but before I am able to reload so I can finish him off as he tries to attack me from his position, I am suddenly shot at by his ally. I therefore order my female friend to finish him off so I can concentrate on dealing with the Type 100 guy.
Although his barrage of fire hurts me a good amount, I'm still able to continue as I retaliate while he has to reload his gun. The thing is that while I reload my gun, I find that I only have one clip left but at least I have my Type 100 left and I should have enough bullets against him. I therefore fire the last of the bullets of my gun at him before throwing the machine gun at him like a makeshift javelin, with the bayonet penetrating his chest.
The bayonet causes him to yell in agonising pain, as he's completely focused on removing it now as opposed to fighting me. As he struggles to do so, causing him to scream some more as his blood pours out of his body, I switch to my Type 100 and constantly fire and reload until after about 2 clips worth of bullets, he finally falls to the ground as the damage taken from my bullets and the bayonet, proves to be too much for him.
With two of the three bosses down, I feel more relieved as perhaps I won't come out of this as injured as I thought I would be, and with it just being the female boss with duel wield pistols left now, the pair of us start firing away at her. But oddly enough as opposed to fighting to the death, she tries to get on her radio although we shoot it down. She then screams for help as loud as she can, but due to the immense pain that she's in, the screams for help quickly turn into screams of pain, and soon afterwards she then falls to the ground dead after being shot enough times, causing much of her blood to come pouring out of her body.
With her dead both myself and Oichi look around to see if any enemies have heard her cries for help, though even with my vision I see nothing. I can tell from Oichi's body language that she's relieved to have avenged the deaths of those who have fallen from the camp, and yet she also expresses much sadness and frustration as well as guilt, with how there are no survivors from the allied camp what so ever, not to mention how much suffering and pain they had to endure, as well as the lack of help we could give them, we couldn't even protect them which makes this worse.
I can tell how much she wished to pay her respects as well as to speak her mind and how bad she feels, I understand and I now grow concerned about whether the checkpoint can be taken, it makes me wonder how many more allies are left and if so where are they? But we both realise that we have to keep going and have to keep fighting, and so we leave the allied camp in hopes of finding the skirmishes taking place, though I'm unsure if any of the Loweean soldiers are left there now, but still I can't blame myself as the enemy is stubborn and will fight to the death.
We leave the camp quickly before seeing a group of enemy grunts fighting our allies, although I can only assume that there is only one ally left and I see him get shot down in a matter of seconds. We quickly avenge his death, though it is sad to find that the enemy group was larger by a fair amount, while the lone ally was in a group which is smaller by a fraction or so. If this rate keeps up it makes me wonder if any of the allies we do encounter here, will manage to survive long enough so that they can fight in the battle to take the checkpoint.
With the enemies defeated we still hear gunshots from Arisaka's coming from a location near us, telling us that there is still another skirmish occurring. We head there only to see that there are a few allied rifle men who appear to be as hungry, ragged and tired as the ones in the camp, as well as another in the trees and like before there a few of them dead lying next to them, as well as a few more dead allies near our location. Just as I see them one of the rifle men gets shot, followed by one of them hiding in the tree.
It's not looking good and before I try and find out where the enemies are as well as their number, I order the two survivors to hide as I feared they would join their dead friends eventually due to the amount of enemies there seemed to be. Next we decide that I go after the enemies attacking, while Oichi fires from their position to keep them distracted using an Arisaka from one of the fallen allies.
Thanks to my vision I'm able to see them easily, and it's nice to see that there only a dozen of them left, but one of them appears to be their leader who is armed with a scoped Arisaka with a bayonet attached. I move quickly and quietly again while I watch the grunts get shot down one by one, before there's only half of them left. As soon as I'm position I open fire against them, wiping out most of the remaining grunts before I attract the attention of the enemy sniper.
The sniper tries to shoot at me with his rifle but although each shot hurts me by a significant amount, I'm still able to carry on and I'm not at the stage where my body is crying out to stop just yet. I then reload and kill the remaining grunt before firing the rest of my magazine at him, but he then starts charging at me. I decide to run towards Oichi so that she and the survivors can shoot him down.
Although they keep shooting at him as best as they could, they only manage to fire a few shots against him before he reaches their position. Oichi then tries to stab him with her bayonet stopping him in his tracks, only for him to then stab her back. I quickly reload my gun and fire at him again and within a few moments, the enemy boss falls to the floor and although there are only 2 survivors with us, I'm ever so pleased that there are survivors at all who have manged to survive a fire fight thanks to us. This boosts both mine and Oichi's morale and it convinces us that maybe the next skirmish will have more survivors. It is then that one of the allied soldiers speaks to us.
"Thanks a lot for saving our lives and I'm very pleased to see you lady Oichi, I was worried that we've lost you for good after seeing you get brainwashed by Noh." The soldier says sounding ever so pleased and relieved.
This cheers us both up to see them happy despite the predicament and horrid situation that they are in, and we both smile at them in return.
"Yes, although it is sad to see all of those that have been tortured and killed because of her. I'm pleased to see that you two have survived, although it is such a tremendous shame that you're the only survivors we've seen so far. A lot of the allied soldiers I've seen were either dead or were dying." Oichi says while clearly thinking of the events that she speaks off which upsets and bothers her very much.
"It bothers me as well, and it's even worse to know that this is happening throughout Viridian Forest as well as Lowee, I can only hope that these places can be liberated soon." I say thinking about the same stuff.
"Yes that is very true; I can only hope that we can help to avenge their deaths and to get rid of Team Rocket right here at least. Please lead us my lady and my lord." One of the guards says to us.
As soon as he's finished talking I then rush to the dropped sniper rifle before picking it up, and it is then that Oichi follows the route which we've been travelling on. Soon afterwards we hear the sounds of gunfire and so we quickly rush towards it, and it is then I see in my vision a small group of allies including a boss on one side, fighting against a larger group of enemies which includes two bosses on the other side amongst the trees.
Although from the looks of things our allies are doing ok in holding them off and even wiping out a good number of them, many of the allies have died as well and at a faster rate. We have to finish this fight quickly before the entire allied group gets wiped out by them.
As quietly and as quickly as we could, we move forward towards the enemy before we're in a position where we can strike them. Within a few minutes we then open fire killing four of the grunts. We then cock our Arisakas before firing another volley at them, but although we kill four grunts like we did last time, we have distracted them and now half of the remaining forces focus their fire on us.
They then return fire against us killing one of the allied soldiers in our squad, and wounding both myself and Oichi quite a bit, although at least we are still able to continue even if the pain becomes increasingly unbearable.
I switch to my SMG while they open fire against us again, doing my best to wipe out the enemy who attacks us. Eventually the grunts themselves get wiped out in the group that faces us, and so it's just myself, my ally and Oichi against this boss and something tells me that both him and the other one are tougher than the ones we faced earlier.
Both myself and this boss fire our guns at each other only for Oichi to then throw her rifle into the boss's stomach, before switching to her pistols and shooting at him some more. He then calls out for help, crying out in agony while trying so hard to pull out the rifle as we shoot at him constantly. By the time his ally arrives to help him pull it out, our opponent has already lost a lot of blood and the damage inflicted proves to be too much as he falls to the floor and dies.
The death of his comrade angers him deeply, and so he tries to pull out the bayonet anyway while we attack him, only for him to then throw the bayonet at me which hits me in the gut and causes me to scream in unbelievable agony, as it seriously hurts me, not to mention worries me that I notice how much of my blood is falling out. Before falling on my back, I try so hard to pull it out but due to my lack of health, energy and tolerance that my body can give, it proves to be ever so difficult.
I then see my ally try to rush over to my position, but he gets shot down which saddens me a lot. I then see Oichi rush to my position and she then attempts to pull the bayonet out, but as she tries so hard to do so, she is quickly interrupted by the boss who forcefully grabs her arm and forces her out of the way, before standing guard and firing at Oichi, preventing myself from pulling out the bayonet from my stomach, as well as my female ally from coming to my rescue.
All I can do now is hope that Oichi can defeat him and pull the bayonet out of me in time, or else it'll be some time before I can be revived again, though I must admit with the shape I'm in now, will I be of much use?
As I struggle to tolerate the intolerable pain, I watch Oichi continuing to fight our foe with desperation and anger, but fortunately after what felt like hours, the foe I see before me dies and then Oichi rushes towards me trying so hard to pull the bayonet out, despite being in immense pain herself.
She soon manages to succeed and it feels like such a close call as I felt my health being quite close to zero, as the pain becomes too much for me. I then see Oichi smiling at me, relieved to see me alive. She then offers her hand to pull me up and although I'd rather rest, I know I have to keep going despite my body not feeling like it, and so I reluctantly accept.
She successfully pulls me up with little difficulty and it is then I see the allied group with survivors consisting of the boss himself, although he's heavily wounded as well as a few other rifle men though they appear to be in a terrible shape as well.
"Good to see you my lady and my name is Sam, Thank you ever so much for rescuing us, I thought we were goners for sure." The leader of the group speaks to us while smiling in appreciation.
"You're welcome, it amazes me how you've managed to survive this fire fight let alone survive this long. I can just tell you haven't had a decent meal for who knows how long to say the least." Oichi says to him with a mixture of emotions due to happiness from seeing them alive, to sadness due to them being in such a poor shape.
"Indeed, I admire your courage very much and for you to not give in to them despite how grim it all is, I'm deeply impressed with you guys." I add.
"Thank you ever so much for your kind words, and yeah the fact that we're ever so hungry is the least of it. I'm worried about my body being ever so weak as well as not having enough strength to fight any longer. We need supplies and I don't suppose you have any my lady?" He asks us probably knowing what the answer will be.
"I'm ever so sorry to say that we don't have any supplies on us, however I do know of an enemy camp near here that has plenty of supplies. Although it is heavily guarded it is worth trying as if we don't, we'll probably perish anyway." Oichi explains to them sounding quite depressed in how we don't have any supplies to give them.
"It's alright at least it's a chance to make Team Rocket pay for what they have done. Although we are not much we will follow your lead and if we are to die, then it will be an honour to die by your side my lady." Sam replies speaking with pride as he holds his Type 100 in the air.
She then thanks him for what he says before she then leads us to the camp. Oddly enough we don't encounter any more resistance as we rush through, although when we get to the enemy camp we find that it's heavily guarded and patrolled by numerous grunts, just as I feared.
Though it pleases me to have a small army of our own, I know it's not enough especially with how our troops appear exhausted and not even fed well, I wouldn't be surprised if they don't even have many bullets for their weapons. It makes me wonder where White is, still en route I guess, and it makes me wonder as well how our troops are getting on in preparing to attack the checkpoint, probably not well I guess.
But even if the situation is bleak I cannot give in as if we can get the supplies, then we can patch up any allied troops who are wounded, or have suffered from lack of basic necessities. I need to think of a strategy to take the camp as I look at all the enemy positions, and I also need to put those worries in the back of my mind as I know they won't do any good.
Eventually after a few moments of thinking, I come up with the best plan I have due to the circumstances. I guess here goes nothing although considering the situation we're in; I'd be very surprised if we can come out of this in one piece, especially with how little health and little strength we all have.
