Chapter 116: A battle amongst feudal warriors

We're still in the forest and we're still in the middle of the process of trying to get Katsuie and Nagamasa on our side. The thing is that though we know it will work for certain, there is still the matter of how long it will take due to having to kill them after giving them the perk a colas while they're unconscious, and this will take a while due to their large amount of health. I'm rather concerned because of the knowledge that an enemy convoy is on its way, and I do not want to be bogged down here and potentially face wave upon wave upon wave of enemy troops before we've even managed to take the camp.

Then there's also Oichi who while she's volunteered to do the deed so that she can personally welcome them when they are revived to our side, the act of killing her friends even though they'll be revived back to life, upsets her very much as she struggles to hold back the tears. It's understandable especially how she has lost them, and has been forced to join the evil Noh whose tyranny is quite brutal to say the very least and I'm just so relieved as I'm sure Oichi is that we've managed to slay her.

Although Uni has reassured me on numerous occasions that despite enemy reinforcements coming they are a fair amount of distance away, how long will it last though? I still feel unease yet soon enough, the unease has gone because now the pair of them is revived, and the three of them are smiling at each other and give them hugs while smiling with much relief, even laughing quite a bit.

"Oh Katsuie, Nagamasa, it is so wonderful to see you both, I'm so glad that you're in one piece, I was worried that I've lost you two forever, my husband and my friend, both of whom having helped me out over the years.

Are you two alright? You haven't been tortured by Noh or Plutia at least not too badly have you? I hope not because I couldn't imagine how awful it would be to have at the very least been at her whim." Oichi says trying to hold back her tears of relief.

"Well they did try to break us by torturing us, and she did that quite a lot to us and pretty frequently, but at least we did fight her in the past and were it not for being ambushed, we would have killed Noh, and she was certainly in serious pain and agony at that time." Oichi's husband Nagamasa answers his voice clearly frustrated with what he has to say.

"Yeah, it wasn't pleasant though we managed to fight the pain and have somehow managed to cope. What was worse was when she tried to force us to do her sadistic work against innocent people, and to fight for her cause and when we refused which was always, she'd torture us ever so relentlessly, enjoying it very much. Do you know where she is, so that if possible we can plan her demise?" Katsuie adds his voice showing his desire to exact vengeance.

It is clear that Oichi is upset after hearing this, knowing that those closest to her have been tortured, but then she is relieved that they did manage to wound Noh to the point that she was almost dead and was in severe pain, and she is also relieved to know that herself and myself have managed to slay the nasty piece of work Noh.

"Well I'm just so glad that you two are in one piece, and you'll be pleased to hear that Noh has been killed by me and my friends, and my brother has been defeated and now hopefully we'll be able to defeat Hideyoshi and his allies at the camp." The lady of Azai Oichi says with such a big smile, pleased to see her friend and husband again.

"I think we'd both like that, I think I speak for the both of us when I say that it's good to see you again, and I'm proud of you for how you have contributed to the demise of Noh. I look forward to joining you against Hideyoshi and the rest of them, it will be like before where we tried to defeat them, though tragically we ended up being taken out one by one, though we'll make them pay for that and we will help to create a world without conflict." Nagamasa says responding to his wife.

I find myself feeling a mixture of emotions because while I'm really pleased to see Katusie and Nagamasa being revived, and no longer brainwashed which I knew would happen considering how I knew that they had strong morals and believed in good like Oichi does, I'm also feeling concern because of the enemy reinforcements and while they are not there yet, they are not too far away from our position.

This isn't ideal because I just know that they'll be right there when we do get to face the enemy camp, and we'll just have to split up and I like to think that we can do it, I mean with regards bosses we'd have the advantage of numbers with 6 against 4, but with this said, we don't have many troops compared to them, and so it might be just myself that holds off the enemy reinforcements while my allies try and capture the camp, and I really don't like the odds at all to say the least.

Still, even if it means that we'll likely get wounded perhaps even lose one of our own if not a few, we must still do it to stop them from attacking Lastation, and we also need to avenge what had happened to Oichi, Katsuie and Nagamasa, and in any case if we can survive, hopefully we'll be healed which I like to think we can be because something tells me that Hideyoshi, Nene, Hisahide and Koshihoso will be very tough opponents armed with deadly weapons, but I, White and Stealth will do all we can to help the 3 allies from the feudal times defeat the enemy here.

Before long, we then get in the front jeeps making sure that each seat in the jeep including the gunner is occupied before we set off, driving as quickly as we can, hoping that the convoy we've left behind will provide enough of an obstruction between us and the other convoy.

It is then that I ask Uni to see what the enemy troops strength is at the camp, only for her to tell me that it's only about a couple of hundred of them there, this concerns me as it is a lot compared to how many people we have with us. I guess all we can do is to just simply defeat as many of them as possible before reinforcements arrive, at least we'll have jeeps with guns and that should help us in our fight against them, but the concerning thing is that what weaponry will they have? Will they just have small arms or will they have jeeps and machine guns? Hmmm we'll just have to take them out one at a time from the distance. Hopefully it will work

I then look ahead to see if there are any enemies ahead so that we can take them out, but it is then that I realise that we're disguised as Team Rocket grunts, and as far as they are concerned we are one of them, that is until they get informed that we've ambushed one of their convoys, but will they know that it's us? Hmmm they might be suspicious of how Nagamasa and Katsuie aren't there, but then again even if they do call the camp, Uni's EMP can help stop them.

The thing is even if we manage to stop the camp being forewarned, they'll still come and will it make a difference once we attack them? Hmmm, I'm unsure, we could pick them off and create a diversion by using some of our troops, but that depends on where exactly in the camp are they deployed, are they spread far apart or are they close together? Hopefully we can take them out silently though doing so will take time, time that we do not have, hmmm it won't be easy but we will find a way.

"Uni do you know where the enemy troops are positioned, are they all close together or they split up?" I ask the Lastation CPU Candidate, hoping that the information will be useful.

"Well there are a good number of them manning the machine guns, which are stationed at a position overlooking this road along with another group of them overlooking the other side which leads to Lastation. There are plenty of patrols in the camp and numerous tents with enemies inside, and in one of the tents is where Hisahide, Hideyoshi, Koshosho and Nene are, there are also a few troops in there with them, and there are numerous troops patrolling this tent and others.

Furthermore the convoy has reached the abandoned jeeps and are boarding them so that they can reinforce the camp, and not only this but another convoy is on its way along with a few others each consisting of a couple of hundred troops with the final convoy carrying the rest of Hideyoshi's friends: Tokugawa, Tadakatsu, Ina, Magoichi, Mitsunari, Ginchiyo, Okuni and Ranmaru Mori." Uni informs me of the information I need.

As I thank Uni for the information, considering how we're fighting numerous characters from Samurai Warriors, especially characters who I despise and most of them have been involved in fighting Oichi, Nagamasa and Katsuie, I wonder if many more of them will come to the camp and attempt to invade Lastation, I like to think not because then it's highly probable that we will lose, but at least it will mean we can defeat more of these enemy characters, and hopefully get them to join our side and help us in our defence of Lastation, but for now there is the matter of thinking of a plan to capture the camp using what we know, and using what we've got.

Fortunately it isn't long before I come up with a plan to take the camp, and it is for us to split into 3 separate jeeps, with two of us going for the tent with our enemies inside, while the third goes for the troops patrolling the jeep, then once we make our attack, we then head for the forest, hit and run, and hopefully by luring them to the surrounding forest, we can take them out one at a time, but even if it's a matter of fighting in the forest it won't be easy, it won't be easy at all. And when Uni informs me of the convoy arriving hopefully the enemy strength will be reduced and with my jeep and the allies in my jeep, we'll be able to take them out though doing so will most certainly be easier said than done.

I then inform my friends by mind talk along with talking quietly of my plan as we are getting close to our destination, and even though it's just after informing my allies of my intentions, I now see the enemy grunts manning the machine guns, I have no intention of stopping for them as allowing them to check us out will buy the pursuing convoys time, time that we do not have, and with these thoughts we go as quickly as we can though even then it's not as fast as we'd like.

I then notice one of the guards approach us and he tries to motion us to slow down, but we have no intention of doing so. The guard motions even more vigorously for us to stop but we still don't, after which the guard than aims their rifle against us, warning us that they'll fire if we don't slow down. My guess is that they intend to shoot us down and so we then open fire against them, killing a good number of them there before they return fire, we fire back and kill some more but then we take damage though it is only a small amount which is quite good.

Note: Readers please listen to Warriors Orochi Antiscepter while reading this:

While we're fine for now, this is not ideal as we'll have alerted the camp because of our enemies not allowing us to drive through, I just know that they're going to surround us and annihilate us, but we'll just have to do our best and if we face them trying to surround us we'll just have to pull back and lure them to the forest, and with that we drive as quickly as we can trying our best to stick to the plan, while killing any surrounding enemies we can which isn't that many.

Despite the enemies coming at us in their jeeps trying to ram us and other soldiers trying to shoot at us, we decide to duck because now there are far too many, and instead we lean out and open fire at them trying to kill as many of them as we can, though it's becoming clear that it's best to just run and then try and hit and run, though will this tactic be easy? I doubt it and what about Hideyoshi and his friends? No doubt they'll have heard the noise and that they intend to acquire some jeeps and fight us, and I am certain that their weapons will be rather deadly, more deadlier than ours.

It is then that I see the foursome armed with weapons that will be ever so deadly in their hands and it is just as I expected, as Hideyoshi is armed with an AK74u with a shotgun attachment along with a USAS12, Nene who is a female with short brown hair with a bit of a fringe, along with brown eyes, who is wearing a yellow hair piece, a yellow scarf, what appears to be yellow underwear, back plim soles with shin guards, leather straps which coil around her upper thighs, a long sleeved brown top with what appears to be a yellow metallic front which shows her cleavage, and on her top is a couple of gold bracers, gold shoulder pads and gold padding on the thighs along with a belt, is armed with 2 MP5s, throwing knives and 2 M9s.

There is also Hisahide, a very evil male with a distinctive hairstyle consisting of silver and black hair in which the layers of his hair are moved to the right, along with brown eyes, a black goatee, black trousers, black boots with purple and gold plate over the knee, and what appears to be a dark purple top with a gold cobweb pattern on his chest. He also wears purple leather braces on his wrists along with a gold strap on his upper arm, as well as a dark pink cape with cobweb patterns on his front, and is armed with an M202, 2 MM1 grenade launchers and a silenced Nambu.

Finally there is Koshosho who's outfit while it's from the series of Samurai Warriors like the others, it doesn't look like something they'd wear in the period the series is set, her hair is orange and curly styled into an afro in which there is a yellow bow, she has brown eyes and she wears gold pointed metallic shoes, similar to what a knight would wear, along with white stockings with a small piece in pink over the knee, she also wears pink underwear with a purple belt along with a green yellow rope and red rope knotted together, along with what appears to be pink ropes all over her chest such that it forms a diamond shape pattern, as well as what looks like a brown bar with yellow trim.

To finish of her outfit she wears what appears to be white robes with pink at the front over her bra, and her robes are cut up at the back and there is some flowery pattern at the bottom at the back, her robes are not symmetrical as she wears a gold brace on her left wrist and on her right lower leg, while on her right wrist the robe expands covering the bottom of her hand, and she also wears some long piece of white fabric with pink at the end, along with a pink pattern as well as gold fabric and gold tassels through her arms and around her back, she appears to wear a hot pink nail varnish, the same shade for her lips along with black eye shadow and is armed with an AK47 and an AA12.

It's interesting how they look the same as in the series though then again it's the same for the other characters, the thing is that I notice Hisahide using his M202 and aims it the jeep with Oichi and Nagamasa, and Katsuie, this worries me a lot because I know that these rockets will be able to take out the jeeps with one shot, and while the trio will survive the blast because of their health, the destruction of their jeep will mean that they'll be on foot and will get annihilated by the surrounding enemies, and we cannot afford that.

I try to open fire against him so that he isn't able to lock on to our vehicles so that we can get away, but unfortunately he's still aiming at my ally, but then Katsuie notices this and so he fires both his shotguns at Hisahide just before he opens fire, and though it won't kill him, the shot knocks him down as the four rockets leave his weapon and don't hit anything, meaning that he has to reload and aim his weapon again, which will take time and hopefully it will be enough time for us to get away into the forest, where we can leave our jeeps and with luck take them out one by one in the forest, though with us being severely outnumbered, I don't know if we will survive, we'll just have to do our best.

I guess all we can do is to split up and to try and take as many of them out as we can, but it won't be easy not with all of them and those explosive weapons which could spell doom if we get shot down, but we have no choice, and I suppose to top it all off there will be more reinforcements. Hmmm we'll have to keep going like we always do, and so while we try and drive around avoiding areas where there are so many of them, and where they are likely to surround us, we take out as many as we can though even then it's not enough.

It gets to a point now though where it's best that we all go to the forest and try to out run them and then take them out one at a time there, while trying to take out as many of them before getting there, though tragically at the start of our attack, we have lost all of our gunners meaning it's just myself, White, Stealth, Oichi, Nagamasa and Katsuie now against all of these enemies, still it won't stop us from fighting all of these enemies, as we do our best in taking them out one by one, though it's getting to the point where our vehicles are taking quite a lot of damage.

After taking out a good number of them now such that my gut tells me that the garrison is half the strength it was before the attack, which pleases me quite a bit, we've reached the forest again and while it'll allow us to out run them, we will have to go on foot due to the amount of trees in the way.

Still, it'll be the same for them and our perk a colas will allow us to run faster than them, but then I'm deeply concerned about intercepting the enemy convoy that will reinforce the camp, we'll just have to intercept them, at the correct moment. I can only hope that we'll have a good amount of time before we need to intercept the convoy just outside the camp and that when we do, we'll be able to do it before it can effectively reinforce the camp.

In the mean time we'll have to keep the grunts occupied during the boss fight, we can't have them disturb the boss vs boss fight or else we'll lose, I can only hope that hitting and running them will help though they may end up just focusing on the bosses fighting amongst themselves, hmm what to do, what to do?

We'll just have to keep fighting and bleeding the grunts, what else can we do? At least the odds aren't too bad, 60 to 1 and I've got Stealth to help me while the other 4 of us will duel against the bosses, though I'm quite concerned about whether they will manage to defeat the enemy bosses, but I'm sure that they'll do their best.

We run through the forest hoping to make some distance while they do the same being careful to split up such that myself and Stealth can take out the enemy grunts, while the other four: White, Oichi, Nagamasa and Katsuie can take on the enemy four bosses, but the annoying thing is that while some of the troops go after me and Stealth, not all of them do. Hmm this is not ideal but we'll just have to try and lure the others, or maybe even see if I can deal with these troops while Stealth deals with the others.

We then turn around and try and wipe out some of them and though we manage to shoot down a few of them, they return fire and they manage to hit me a few times while I'm hiding behind a tree. Hmmm this isn't good, I cannot afford to be shot at all and yet I'm hit quite a bit now. It's the same case for my friend, there's no way we can take them out if there's far too many of them, and so I try a new tactic to just fire at them while running through the trees, hoping that their bullets will not be able to get me.

I manage to get another few of them as I run around but even still I get a couple of shots from the enemy, I sigh at the frustration that the situation brings to me, but worse is that as I run through the forest hoping to confuse and tire them out, Uni then speaks to me via mind talk to give me the concerning news.

"Black the convoy is almost at the base, and will be here at any minute." Uni informs me sounding quite concerned.

I then thank her, only to then head over to Stealth's position giving him signals that he needs to intercept the convoy, and so as part of the plan we head over to a certain direction so that we can lure them away while doing our best to avoid getting shot at by the enemy, as well as heading for where Stealth can intercept the convoy. It takes a bit of time but eventually we're both running together and we do so for a while before I run to a different direction from him, before hiding and trying my best to take out some of Stealth's numerous pursuers. But tragically they still go after him, while some of them stay to attack me along with the other enemy grunts that I have to deal with.

Hmm, Stealth with have a lot of enemies to deal with as do I, and the concern of this gets to me as once again I've been hit by a couple of bullets, I just know that dealing with all of these enemies will be difficult, and I just know that it will be ever so difficult for Stealth to stop the convoy and deal with his pursuers, but we need the enemy reinforcements off our backs for as long as possible. At least he'll buy us some time but how much I'm unsure, I just hope that it's enough, but for now it's a matter of keeping those grunts off my allies so that they can focus on the enemy bosses, even though I'm deeply concerned that my four friends will be wiped out.

I really need to avoid getting hit considering how my health which is now declining, isn't much against the enemy soldiers, hmm I need to be careful with these enemies or else they might leave me alone and just harass the 4 friends who are fighting those bosses, hmmm.

It is then after thinking which I find myself having to do a lot due to the difficulty of these situations, that I decide to run away and just harass them because even if they'll attack my allies, they shouldn't take too much damage from them and perhaps if they're focused on my allies it'll be easier, plus which trying to take them on while keeping them on me will be suicidal, and take too much time considering how there are enemies on the way, and I'm not sure if Stealth will be able to hold them off, it's such a tragic shame how he is to be a sacrifice, but at least the perk a colas will ensure his revival, that is if we can hold off and defeat the enemy, Let's do this.

With this plan in motion I then decide to run away and provide distance, hoping that I can put them into a trap and kill a significant number of them. I therefore run by the side of the trees and then crouch down only for me to then move away a bit and start running again, before hiding by a nearby tree, hopefully they'll rush to where I hid and try and take me down only for me to be able to take out loads of them.

I hope this works because I can then take out a good portion of them in one shot, and I just have to wait for them to come. I aim my Type 100 at where I expect them to come and the moment they do so, I open fire being able to wipe a good few troops and then a few more, I like to think I've got about half a dozen of them.

They then try to lean from cover and take shots at me but I get even more of them, but it is then that I think it's best to split because there's still more of them who could surround me and kill me. I reload my gun and find that the enemies are trying to rush towards my position, though I shoot down a few of them who show themselves to me. This is quite precarious as I know I'm going to get shot, though at least I'm not exhausted from all of this running around unlike them, so if I can tire them out it'll be easier for me to wipe them out.

Of course right now I am surrounded on all sides, and I have a feeling that some of the enemy grunts have left me to assist their bosses, as I wonder whether they know that I'm just trying to separate themselves from their bosses, to make it easier to kill them.

Well at least it'll mean I can just focus on these enemies before dealing with the rest, maybe that's for the best after all. The sound of many Arisakas firing as I try and make distance and avoid being surrounded concerns me quite a lot, but then I manage to make enough space and so I decide to attack them again, though with them closer together in a group trying to mow me down, I manage to get even more of them and what pleases me is that they're having to reload, and so I manage to get even more of them still.

But it is then that they decide to do a banzai charge and use the bayonets on their Arisakas as make shift spears, I manage to get a few more down but not before I find that it's best to use my superior speed, to make some distance before taking more of them down.

Oddly enough I then hear them no longer running in pursuit, but instead they just reload their weapons and switch to trying to shoot me, and so I then take cover and proceed to wipe them out one by one with my Type 100, until I've defeated them all. Yes I've outsmarted these Team Rocket goons, after all of that tension and stress.

Ah what a relief to have finally gotten rid of all of these troops despite being heavily outnumbered, and even though I've been shot a few times, I do not feel much pain at all which is surprising considering what I was up against with all of those enemies.

But it is then that I quickly realise that there's still work to be done, there's still the matter of wiping out the remaining grunts, and to then assist my allies in defeating these bosses. Tragically it is then that I learn from Uni that I need to be quick, as despite Stealth being able to stop an enemy convoy, he was forced to lure in some of them because of the overwhelming numbers, and will try and assist once more after dealing with them, there are about 50 of them on the way which is 50 too many.

Well at least it's not too bad but I need to take out these enemies and the bosses quickly, if we are to stand a chance. And so with these thoughts of it being yet another race against time, I head to where the fighting is going on that I need to make a difference in as fast as I can, hoping that the allies are still ok and hoping that I can save them on time because if I don't, then it won't be just defending against another wave of enemy grunts seeking to reinforce the camp, it'll be defending against that wave and more waves of the same after that, along with a wave full of the rest of Hideyoshi's group, that desires to invade Lastation and start a two front war between Lastation against Leanbox and Team Rocket.

I cannot allow that to happen for that will be disastrous, I simply cannot not after getting so far fighting all of these battles, and I will do my very best no matter how much health it takes, or how much time and effort for that matter, because it means nothing to me if I can ensure that Lastation is kept safe, not just for our nation, not just for our leaders but for the planet that's counting on this great nation.
