Chapter 119: The Battle between feudal warlords continues

Well it looks like I'm dead now, and though I've died before, I have the feeling that I'm dead this time, it's not good, it's not good at all, I cannot afford it not while Lastation is at the brink of falling to both Team Rocket and Leanbox now, it horrifies me to think how something so prosperous, so hopeful, and the only haven in this world run by such a benevolent bright caring leader who has ruled so well, that the people love her, admire her, and respect her as do I, can be destroyed. I guess at least I won't live to see the Lastation that I really love be destroyed with all the skyscrapers, landscapes and environment, as well as the technology and all the people including my friends and family killed, that would be horrible, truly horrible.

I can't blame myself for that, I have done my best, and I've managed to take out such a significant number of enemies, but I do not like how I have been unable to stop the enemy from attacking Lastation leading to war, urgh, then again it wasn't easy and I should be proud for putting up such a big fight. It's just so agonisingly frustrating that despite our hard efforts it just leads up to this, the postponing of our inevitable destruction. I don't want this, I want it to be worthwhile and that one day we can liberate the world, and provide peace and prosperity, to all those who have only known nothing but tyranny, sadism and suffering, and yet instead of a dream we'll get a nightmare.

I hate the idea of dying, of falling to the enemy, I cannot afford it on so many levels, I don't want to let the side down, I don't want to fall to the nemesis I despise the most, and I certainly don't want the people to suffer darkness forever. Hmmm it's getting like déjà vu, this has happened to me before but at least I could be revived, and while it's the same case here, with the enemy reinforcements on their way despite me defeating all 4 bosses, can I be revived? Can all of us be revived so that we have a chance in defeating the rest of the enemies, and ensuring Lastation survives for at the very least a short amount of time, with the attack being stopped?

Note: Readers please listen to Antispecter Warriors Orochi while reading this:

I really doubt it from what I remember but hang on; would I really be thinking if I was dead, displaying conscious thought? Could it be that with me managing to defeat the final enemy in the area at least for now, I have been revived and therefore we're still in business? Ah there's still chance that Lastation can be saved and not face complete and utter annihilation from our enemies, yes, yes, yes, I'm so pleased to still be in this fight, and I know that we can win, we've won against that batch, and I'm certain that we can defeat these guys, I don't see how they can be more difficult than before, plus we've got better weapons.

I waste absolutely zero time, in waking up and consuming the perk a colas that have been airdropped by Noire's super stealth plane as quickly as I can, which are disguised as drinks from Team Rocket, and applying Lastation cream also dropped by the air vehicle, on my wounds which is also disguised though this time as Team Rocket medicine.

After which I then head to where the camp is which is where we'll next do battle and where my allies: White, Stealth, Oichi, Katsuie and Nagamasa will be, we'll be outnumbered again, but hopefully not outgunned, not when if we can keep at it, and we can wipe out wave upon wave until they send in the rest of the enemy bosses, who I'm curious as to who they'll be. How many will there be, will it be more than the four, and will they be deadlier than before?

Well whatever it is, I like to think it's the same odds as before and if we've survived the last one, we'll survive this one, even if I fall with the last enemy of the area, that doesn't bother me because revival is possible, and when that happens we will have won this major battle and will have stopped their plans.

But the tragic thing is that it won't be the end, because we'll have just stopped the attack, there is still the matter of rescuing our allies Dawn and Ash, as well as Sepia and Forest in Cinnabar Island who must be going through all sorts of hell, and once they are rescued, there is the matter of stopping the armada of cruise ships in reinforcing Pallet Town, which will be very, very difficult to stop, no doubt making the idea of stopping the attack of Lastation from the forest, look like a walk in the park, or rather a nature walk in the forest.

This is just so that we can ensure that the plan to capture Pallet Town and Viridian City, which even with our securing of Viridian Forest which in itself has taken much effort, and our impending prevention of the Armada which will definitely take much effort, will still be difficult considering the amount of troops that they have, and the amount of troops that we can afford, which tragically due to having to defend against Leanbox, isn't that much. I just know that even if we've managed to establish our foothold in Lowee, there'll still be the other cities which will be extremely difficult to take to say the very least, and that's just in Kanto province.

I sigh in frustration, but know that we cannot give up, and I soon realise that we must surely be a huge thorn in their side for resisting, for the very fact that they've tried to stop us time after time after time, and that they've failed each and every single time, and we intend to keep going and keep fighting for all of our buddies.

The thing is that I find that due to us having to flee the pursuers from the camp, it is quite the trek from where I woke up just, to where we need to be, and this concerns me quite a bit because of the likelihood of the enemy arriving before we do, but at least this time me reviving has meant that I'm back at full health, and my aches and pains are gone, and I don't have any wounds at all. It's so good to not feel any pain, and it's wonderful how the cream makes me feel like I've been massaged by Noire, which I enjoy very much to say the least.

While I manage to get to a point where I'm quite close to the camp, and my allies are there too and I'm where my allies and friends are, just as I feared though, there are enemies in jeeps who have just arrived, and worse still is that Uni just then informs me that more reinforcements will arrive at any minute, and furthermore these waves are much closer together meaning we won't get as much time to breathe, and I've found that one of the waves will consist of 8 deadly bosses, who are probably more deadly than the 4 bosses I've managed to defeat, albeit barely and not without dying and if not almost failing.

Hmmmm, this will make what I just experienced look like a piece of cake, what with the reinforcements being closer together this time around, and there being more bosses. I sigh but then I realise that it might not be that difficult, not if for now we have a smaller amount of enemies to deal with compared to at the start. I like it because it's such a contrast to last time in which it's stressful trying to deal with all those enemies, and it just getting worse and worse, here I like to think we'll have a chance.

The frustrating thing is that, even though I'm confident we'll be able to take out them all, it won't be without it costing us in health, and what concerns me is what is the best method to get them, such that we do so, with as minimum hits as possible.

I know that the enemies will no doubt notice the destruction in the camp and may in fact explore the forest considering the bosses are nowhere to be seen, but will they, and even if they do after waiting for them, so that we can ambush them quietly, I have no doubt that more reinforcements will arrive, and if we're to attack them immediately, while it'll allow us to face the reinforcements separately, or at least it's more likely that it will happen, with them still being in the jeeps, it's more likely that we'll get shot, especially by their mounted machine guns.

Hmmm what to do, what to do? I notice that while we're outnumbered it's not by a large amount, and these are just grunts, and furthermore we are hiding and I don't see what damage they are able to do against us, considering how they have small arms with a small proportion of mounted machine guns.

This is the best way to go forward, take them out now and do our best to minimise our health being reduced, and so with this in mind, we all open fire on as many of them as we can while they still don't know that we're there, and though we take out significant numbers, they now know we're there and so they try and shoot in the forest, though at least for the moment we get more of them, but not enough such that they still pose a threat as bullets come our way, and although we do our best to hide in the trees away from the enemy bullets, we all get shot a few times by them, too many times, and while I am fine for now, I've seen it before, where it can all add up and I do not like how much I've been shot that many times just now, at the start of me just being revived… again.

At least I don't ache too much, and my speed has not be severely reduced, not yet at least, and so we run for a bit and then take cover again, before opening fire against them, and seeing if we can take out more of them, but while we take out a significant number of them, we then get shot again, though it pleases me how this time it's less times than before, and now the enemy group is significantly diminishing, along with their firepower because now because we're in the woods, rather than the camp, they are forced to abandon their jeeps, and with it the mounted machine guns.

This pleases me, but then I become ever so worried that we're losing a lot of health and fast, and with more waves coming, it's going to be the same situation as I've faced before, and will I survive like before, considering the knowledge of what we're up against? If I can just avoid getting hit by these guys then that will help a lot but will it be possible? I doubt it, but we cannot give up and I'll be damned if we get significantly wounded by these guys, who I now learn are being reinforced by more enemies who are rushing to their aid. It'll only be a matter of time before the bosses show up, and we'll be swamped like last time. But what to do? What to do? Hmmmm.

Well, the answer to that question is to do our best like we always do, and I'm confident that a strategy or probably strategies to defeat the enemy, I will come up with, but it will take some thinking. I do wonder whether to go to the route where the enemy jeeps are and to continue to harass them, but then what about those in the area, who left alone, might just try to attack Lastation, considering the chaos that is happening in this area. Perhaps it's best to split into groups with two of us harassing the enemy waves of reinforcements, and the rest of us finishing off the enemy, and with luck we can deal with those waves, and hopefully ambush the enemy bosses and take them all down.

It is then that I get White and Stealth to head off, and to see if they can keep the enemy reinforcements off our backs, while I like to think that we can get them finished off, as we retreat a bit and try and take out as many as we can, even though we still get shot quite a bit by them, which is quite frustrating to say the least and is getting to be quite painful too, and worse still is that after a short while, the enemy reinforcements have caught up with them, making the odds even worse for us, and so we try and go for a new tactic, which is take out a couple and then run through the trees, hopefully we won't get shot too many times, and we can just simply bleed them out one by one, while our allies can keep them distracted for a while.

We do this and we manage to reduce the times we get hit compared to before, but it's still not enough, the numbers are simply proving to be far too much but we just cannot, must not give up, but I know that we will fall at this rate, but how to take them out, when every time we fight them, the enemy just manages to shoot us a few times, and I know that all of those times will simply add up especially with the pain I'm beginning to feel. We have better weapons, and health but their numbers are just too much for us, far too much, and all we have is our speed, that's it. We'll just have to see if we can use our abilities to out run them and then to hit and run them, maybe see if we can split them into groups by splitting up ourselves.

It'll just be like déjà vu again, we'll be forced to split up and one by one we'll fall, fall because the odds are stacked up too heavily. I just hope that it'll be easier with there being no bosses yet like last time, and I just hope that our two buddies can keep them distracted for long enough and prevent enemy reinforcements from coming, before we can dwindle their numbers significantly.

What I would like is that when the four of us split up and run for quite a bit, we would then take it in turns to double back and to take out each other's pursuers. If there is any tactic with which we can take them out, it's this one. And so with this in mind, we run as quickly as possible and split up, hoping that it doesn't take long for us to create substantial distance from us and our enemies, the question is that will the enemy follow, or just not bother with us running away from them, and outrunning them.

We don't just run fast, we run while weaving through the trees, and it's not long at all before we are happy with our distance, and therefore decide to go after one group of pursuers which is to be Oichi's, and I'm confident that we can take them out before we know what hit them, and then we can do the same for the others, that is if we continue to trick them, but it's all we've got and it beats the other strategies.

While I wish I could have thought of this tactic much sooner, I wonder if it's due to us being apart last time and it not going well, only that was more to do with the fact that we had bosses to deal with unlike this time around. In any case, after putting my plan into action, it is not long until we catch up with the enemy pursuers of Oichi, and then we open fire on her pursuers, taking out a significant number of them before they are alerted, and then wiping out more of them just as they manage to hit me a few times.

I like it, I really do, we've took out a significant portion and not been hit much, but we have no time to celebrate as this has taken a fair amount of time, and I wonder when will it be that more reinforcements show up and make things ever so difficult to say the least. I can't worry about that now, because what good will it do? Nothing, all we can do is our best, and that is what we will do.

I am informed by Uni that the remaining pursuers are all together and try and pursue us together, though something tells me that they will not be tempted to split up this time, and what concerns me is that our weaponry has a similar range to their weaponry, meaning picking them off, is out of the question, unless of course we just find positions, attack and then retreat, but how long will that take? I do not know, and I worry that it will be too long, too long before we can assist our allies, I mean while I am certain that my allies are doing their best, and that there's more of them this time, the amount of waves and the amount of enemies in those waves, I just don't know, I really don't.

It is then that we head over and rush as quickly as we can, and it is not long before we do in fact find the remaining enemies here grouped together, and we then shoot at each other while hiding, though at least this is easier for us to kill them while they're hiding, because of how we have magnetic visions, but even so we still get shot a few times which we cannot afford, but it is then that I have a new strategy in mind, and this is for the four of us to encircle them, and to then get their flanks before moving around them in a circle, and striking where appropriate.

The thing is that they then do a strategy of their own, and that is to try and move forward, advancing on Oichi as the rest of us attempt to surround them, with Nagamasa advancing with me as we try and bleed them once more, forcing them to then turn and attempt to deal with us.

This relieves me quite a bit because of how I was worried that they'd just mow Oichi down with their superior numbers, but even so she gets shot a significant amount of times, and I think those shots are starting to take their toll, then again it is for myself with the pain I'm in, and I begin to wonder whether surrounding them was actually such a good idea, but then again we haven't reached this point just yet, but we will, and when we do, we will defeat them.

We continue to run until we get to the appropriate positions, and even if it's not as ideal we have them completely surrounded, and now I like to think that, we can run then hit while they are not looking before running again, and then we can bleed them dry. My only hope is that not only that this can work, but it can work quick enough so that we can assist our allies, so that we can deal with the remaining waves, though I am deeply concerned about those 8 enemy bosses, and I know that they'll be together and have deadly weapons, if not deadlier, but we cannot give up, not after getting this far.

And so we put this plan of ours into action and hit and run them, while we have them surrounded. I am ever so pleased to see that these enemies are struggling with their Arisakas, due to how slow they fire, and yet we're frequently moving as they try and shoot us down, but to no avail. The thing is that while they are slowly yet surely getting mowed down by us, to the point where we have defeated half of them, they then decide to group themselves and to form a formation, in which they become a circle looking outwards, and they continue to fire in all sorts of different areas in hoping that they can defeat us.

It is clear that we have got them defeated, and it is great that they are no longer hitting us in large amounts like they were previously, because then it means that we have more, much more of a chance in succeeding in our mission against all of these enemies. But then this becomes quite tricky with bullets being fired all over the place, and even with their weapons they just don't stop firing, in fact even when they need to reload, their allies cover for them. Hmmm this is going to slow things down, and it's only a matter of time before they get lucky and manage to hit us, and then hit us enough times for us to be killed by them, which we cannot afford at all.

And so I do my best to try and take out as many as I have the courage to, if I can at least bleed the number and then with the enemy circle weakening, it should get easier for us all, with there being less enemies that are trying so hard to shoot us down, and it does because although I get shot a few more times than before, they fall down and they fall down exponentially such that the more we kill, the even more we kill afterwards, until they're all dead.

While I am relieved to have wiped them out, already we are at quite low health and this is from dealing with all of these enemies, who are just so numerous and deadly with their Arisakas, in which I get hit so many times by them, because there is just so many of them. The thing is that though we have defeated a portion of them, it is just a portion of them and this is a portion without bosses, and worse yet I soon learn from Uni who does an excellent job with our surveillance, that there is a new wave who is about to head to where we are, albeit significantly diminished thanks to our allies White and Stealth, who have more health than us and are going strong, ah I guess sending two of us off to bleed the reinforcements was a good move after all, wonderful, truly wonderful.

We then take cover as we see the new enemy wave come charging in, only for us to take out as many of them as we can, which is a good amount but not enough at all, as for them they are still to be able to hide and shoot at us back. But still, there are not many of them at all, and one by one they fall to us, and yet while this should relieve me to see us win in this fire fight easily after all of these difficult engagements I had as of late, I know this to be the calm before the storm, and I feel that this will be a very brutal and destructive storm, that is coming our way, but embrace it we must, and survive it we must.

It is then that we head over to the next wave, which is no doubt where our allies are, and give them much needed help, as they are dealing with the other wave, and they'll then have to deal with the final one before the wave with the bosses, which will be followed by a few more waves of troops and that will be it.

It just frustrates me so much to know, that even if we have managed to destroy a good portion of their forces, meaning they will stand even less of a chance, even if it is so much as one troop of theirs that attacks Lastation, it will be war on two fronts, and this we cannot afford, we cannot afford it at all, and yet it's looking that way, but still we must not give up, even if I find myself wondering what sort of weapons exactly do our enemies have? So that I can determine what strategies to use, to defeat them.

We then rush forward as quickly as we can, so that we can get to our allies, who I worry that as I speak to you readers, that they are surrounded and are struggling in fighting against the enemy, after all they are heavily outnumbered, but from what Uni has said to me, they are doing relatively well, and I am certain that we can rescue them in time.

It is then that we catch up to our allies, though we only find one of our allies which is White because of how they've split up after ambushing them, and find that they are struggling to defeat these overwhelming amount of enemies, though I like to think that with our help, we can easily defeat these guys, and sure enough our assistance is all that's needed to take these guys down, and while we do get shot at in return, it isn't much, not much at all. But even so, I am deeply concerned about Oichi because she had taken more shots earlier than we have, and is ever so close to dying and we cannot afford to lose a single one, not now, not when we still have loads of enemies to deal with.

The thing is that while I have more health, it's not much more, and it's on the decline, just like the time we have before the next wave is on the decline, and it's quite a rapid decline to say the least. We then rush to our ally Stealth, who like White is swamped with all of these enemies, but the thing is with all of us working together, they get mowed down even more quickly than before.

At least with this time around, we are on top of the waves of enemies, and we are not getting swamped at all by these enemies like last time, but even with us all together, I worry about how much of this we can take, and I can't stop thinking about all of those deadly bosses who we will be facing soon, hmmm.

Still we do have the element of surprise, and if it gets too much we can just flee and hope that they split up, and if they do we can then pick them off, one by one. I hope so because it's going to be another wave, before another wave of bosses as well as enemy troops, and while taking on a wave of enemies is quite the challenge, and taking on these enemy bosses are a challenge, taking on them both at the same time, will be an even bigger challenge, but we'll just have to simply do our best, as we then head to where the next wave will be, in which they are in jeeps and trucks, only they'll find abandoned vehicles in the way.

Come on, if all of us can ambush them we can take them all down, especially if we have them pinned and are attacking them on both sides. The sooner we can do this, the fewer amounts of enemies assisting the enemy bosses there'll be, but how to defeat them? How to defeat them when they are more numerous and perhaps more deadly? I guess I'll have to think of the answer and quick, hopefully I'll get some inspiration which I could really do with.

It doesn't take long at all for us all to be in position, in which we're hiding by some trees overlooking the area of the abandoned vehicles, only we're at some distance away so that we can ambush them, and plus which myself, White and Stealth are on one side, and Oichi, Nagamasa and Katsuie are on the other side, with all of us a fair amount of distance apart, so that we can take out the enemy more efficiently. If we can pull this off, then we'll head up to the rest of the convoy and continue to annihilate the enemy there, where I like to think that we can defeat this wave, with no problems, and be ready for the enemy boss wave.

Just as I expected, it doesn't take long at all for the convoy to arrive, and that is when we strike doing our best to wipe out as many enemies there as possible before they can respond, but the thing is again like I expected, while we do manage to wipe out a portion of them, they are alerted and they are starting to fire back, though for now at least they do not know exactly where we are, though it won't take long until they work it out.

As a matter of fact soon they then rush into the forest to try and find us, forcing us to retreat and to take position, so that we can take them down, and though we still manage to get a good portion of them, which is pleasing me, it's only pleasing me a bit because not only do these guys manage to get us a few times, and I can only imagine that Oichi is at the point where a few more shots and she's dead, I learn from Uni that the bosses and another wave of troops are right behind these guys.

This is not ideal, and I am struggling to try and answer the question, how are we going to defeat these guys, when we haven't finished this wave yet, and our health is already far too low from fighting these waves. I sigh in frustration that if we're to use high tech Lastation equipment where there'd be body armour, bullet proof shields and high tech weaponry, we wouldn't be in this position, but I know that this is out of the question due to them knowing that Lastation is helping the Loweeans, which is forbidden for it will trigger their attack on Lastation.

But I realise that it's not over yet, and even if I am aching from the bullets, my body is not in severe pain such that it's a struggle to move. We still have the speed, though I fear that it may not make any difference, but whatever the case I will fight them, and I will beat them, I will beat them with my agility, I will beat them with my weapons, but most of all, I will beat them with my strategies, not just for us all, not just for Lastation but for the people, including the Loweeans here so that they can continue to fight for their liberation, city by city.
