Chapter 120: The feudal challenge

Well, we're still doing our best in fighting off this enemy wave, so that we can be ready for the bosses and the extra enemy wave that will be with them, in this forest so that we can ensure that we can keep Lastation safe, and to avoid the dreaded two front war which will prove to be rather disastrous to say the very least.

The thing is that not only are there still a significant amount of enemies fighting against us, doing their best to kill us, we are getting more and more wounded, and it's getting more and more painful, and this concerns me a lot because I know that there is only so much that we can all take.

This frustrates me ever so much because it's déjà vu, and this has happened before, in fact many times and while last time we was lucky, with being able to get just a bit of breathing space, can it be done this time, and even if it's the case, unless we stop them now, will we be able to catch up and stop them in their tracks? I doubt it but it's going to look that way, with the amount of enemies along with the lack of health that we have.

I must not think like this, I can do this but the thing is that there is the matter of thinking of how to defeat these enemies. If only we can separate the enemies, the bosses from the grunts, when they come or defeat them at least, but then again they might already be split up at least partially, and at these few moments in time, the guys we are currently facing right now, are separate from their impending reinforcements, but I am unsure if we can kill them all, though if we can kill as many as we can before they show up, then we may have a chance, and a chance is better than nothing.

We then manage to find a nearby position in which we then attack the enemy once again, and try to ensure that we can get a decent amount of them, before we are forced to retreat if we are to avoid getting shot by the enemy. Though the annoying thing is that as we get a good amount of them, we get shot which is getting to be a bit much especially for Oichi, who I fear is close to death and just a couple more shots and she'll die, and it's because of taking all those shots from earlier as we encircled the enemy to take them down. In fact after retreating some more and then taking out some more, it is then that the lady of Azai dies.

So the first one of the six of us, has fallen, well I knew it would happen but this is not ideal and even if this wave has almost been defeated, the new wave including the bosses have come and reinforced their position, and the very sight of them even though I try and do my best not to let them get to me, does concern me very much.

Though that's because of how much health they have and how they outnumber us, but I don't really like any of them, and I would like to see them taken down, as I look at them, with the first one being someone who I instantly recognise to be Tokugawa, a large man in complete body armour, with only his face shown, in which he has a beard and brown eyes and he wears blue cloth over his jaw.

He wears a silver armoured helmet of the era and area, with a gold leaf laurel crown on the front, and a huge tall spike on top of his helmet. He wears blue trousers and golden boots of the location and time, which go up to his knees, in which there's golden knee pads on both knees.

He also wears a large chest plate with a blue plate on his upper chest, as well as a large motif of his clan which is 3 spade symbols in a triangle formation, which are pointed towards each other, along with armour flaps over his thighs, and he wears a blue belt made of fabric, and a cape which is split in two in the middle with the motif of his clan on the cape, finally he wears a blue top under his armour, and he has more amour on his arms, including gloves, bracers and shoulder pads, which is silver with one of the parts being blue.

For his weaponry he is armed with a special Javelin missile launcher, along with a Gatling gun which alarms me very much. His appearance and body language tries to come across as intimidating to us all with his size and weaponry, but he doesn't scare us and I won't allow them to win.

Then there is the one who I recognise to be his best warrior, Tadakatsu who's rather tall and he has the same colour scheme and same sort of amour, only his boots are black and his armour is darker, and has a black pattern on his chest. On his helmet there are two tall gold horns as well as what looks like a very long black pony tail, and he has what looks like a large gold pearl necklace. He is armed with an XM25 missile launcher, along with a PK Pecheneg light machine gun, and like his leader he's doing the same thing and it's the same response from us.

Then there is Tadakstsu's daughter Ina who has long black hair that is tied in an up pony tail with a thin purple cord, and she has a grey headband with the emblem of the clan, in which she has two strands of hair on each side.

She wears blue sandals of the area, over long black tights in which she wears armour greaves which cover her lower legs, and reach up to her knees. She wears white cloth elbow pads and purple bracers which cover the hand up to her fingers, but not the palm of her hand, but the thing is on her left arm she wears an armoured brace over her purple bracer and she wears a large metallic shoulder pad, and she wears a metal plate around her neck and upper chest, as well as a metal breast place which shows her cleavage in which on top she wears a white skirt with blue at the bottom and on top some pink fabric, with a belt made of large gold pearls with tassels attached.

Her weaponry consists of a bow and arrow though something tells me it's more than a bow and explosive arrows, and her other weapon consists of an AUG HBAR with a varied scope. Like father like daughter, she tries to be intimidating but it won't work, though I will admit the bow and arrow does make me wonder if it has any special abilities and if so what.

The next one I notice is an adult lady with short brown hair by the name of Ginchiyo, whose attire while it is appropriate for the era is not appropriate for the area, as I know it to be from a different area entirely.

She is mostly completely covered in what appears to be plate armour which is in a pink purple colour with gold ends for each section of her armour, and this includes her legs, her bracers, her shoulder pads, and her breast plate in which there appears to be some sort of skirt at the bottom of it which is white, gold and purple.

She also wears what looks like a top made of a purple shade of chain mail and gloves made of chain mail. To finish her outfit off she wears a cape which is purple, and what looks like a large gorget of metal and of different colours as well as a helmet which sits on her face, covering her cheeks and has three points. Her weaponry consists of an M16 with a grenade launcher, and an ACOG scope as well as an M1014 semi-automatic shotgun. I sense from her body language that she won't tolerate any nonsense and is rather serious as am I, as I don't tolerate nonsense especially not from people like Neptune, or anyone who is dumb or bad enough to support her.

Next to her is an adult male who I recognise to be Mitsunari with his white fur that he wears on his head, though at the bottom part in which it covers his back, and is tied at the bottom, is in red.

The fur has two golden horns sticking out on top of his head. I can still see that he has ginger hair over a gold head band though, and for the rest of his appearance he wears red trousers, in which on top are gold boots which appear to be armour like what a knight would wear, and he has gold gauntlets in the similar style as well, which covers his lower arms and fingers, and he wears some top of the era and area which is black and appears to be made of leather and has red beads and a green and yellow belt, this clothing covers his upper legs, though it splits in the middle.

To finish off, he wears some robes which is red and goes to his knees though on his left arm it covers it reaching his hand, forming a massive sleeve and that part is white, while there is nothing for his right arm and instead he has a red shoulder pad and black clothing for his upper arm. He is armed with two Uzis which he holds in his hands, as a well Kreig 550 Commando, a sniper rifle with lots of bullets that's semi-automatic.

Another one of them is a female by the name of Okuni, who has short brown hair with a fringe with a red head band, along with gold at the ends with a few red tassels on each end, and she also has attached to her hair two extensions on each side which are tied with red ribbon. Her eyes are brown and her lips are red.

She wears what appears to be a red kimono with an orange tinge at the bottom, with a gold flower pattern surrounded by white flowers. The rest of her outfit looks odd as she wears massive white sleeves with a red edge on the sleeve with a ribbon, and the sleeve goes up to her upper arm ending with a red ribbon, and a gold ribbon on each side, and she also wears a white waist coat which is tied with a ribbon on the side showing the side of her kimono and her body, and her waistcoat has red ribbon tied in a knot with red tassels on the end of some string which comes after the knot. To finish off she wears geko sandals and white socks.

For her weaponry she carries a large riot shield though it's modified such that in the centre there is a weapon sticking out, which is an AA12. Effectively she has a large shield surrounding her gun so she can fire her weapon with two hands, while using her shield to protect her, and she has a PP2000 as well. I must say while I dislike these people including her, for how annoying she is with her persistence with how any man she wants must date her no matter what, and I do wonder what involvement she has with all this, I can't help but notice the weaponry being a modern version of what they had in the games.

It continues with the others, as I then look at the final two with one of them I recognise as being Magoichi, who has black hair with hairs sticking out on his fore head, and he also has some sticking out on his head.

He has black boots which go to his knees, and he wears green trousers with some leather encircling his right thigh, he also wears what appears to be a green waistcoat on top of a black waistcoat, and he has on top of the waistcoat a belt along with leather covering his arms, along with leather gloves.

He has for his weaponry, a Barret 50cal, an FAL rifle and a KS-23 which I'm guessing is to go with how in the series his weapon was a musket. Considering how I find his womanising ways annoying and how he was ever so persistent with Oichi, not appreciating that she was already married to the man he loves Nagamasa, I wonder what stuff has he done here.

Finally there is Ranmaru Mori who has black blue hair in which he has a fringe at the sides and his hair covers his ears, and is tied at the top at the back in a short pony tail with is tied with cord of the era and area.

He also wears what appears to be sandals with purple socks and purple leather greaves which is tied with ribbons, and he wears black baggy shorts along with a purple shirt of the era and area with long purple sleeves with gold pattern on them. He wears what appears to be leather gauntlets with leather fingerless gloves too, and on top of the purple shirt he wears what looks like pink fabric on the back and on the front, in which there is a pouch beneath the front one, and on the front is blue cord tied in a bow, and there is more of this which connects both pieces of fabric. To finish off he has on his back what looks like a leather chest plate with laces on it.

For his weapons, he has an M60 light machine gun with a large clip, as well as a modified PTRS41 semi-automatic sniper rifle, though I have a feeling that this has lots of bullets and can fire in short bursts. I remember him to be effeminate, and people mistaking him for a female and I know him to be a loyal warrior to Nobunaga, though what stuff has he done here? I do not know.

As I seem them approach with their weapons and with their soldiers, I am concerned about how it's 8 of them against 5 of us, and they have full health and ammunition for their weapons, which I am concerned are significantly more deadly than what we have, in which we don't have as much ammo, or health for that matter. I do my best not to be intimidated by them and I'm not, but it's the odds and situation more than anything.

Note: Readers please listen to Samurai Warriors 2 Annihilation Battle while reading this:

But even so I like to think that I know what to do, and so I quickly decide to put the strategy I was already thinking of in place which is to split the bosses from the grunts, and with me seeing them in person, though the sight of them concerns me particularly with their weapons, I notice that there are weaknesses that I can exploit. In fact Magoichi is meant to be the sniper and if I can take him out and use his weapon, I can outrun them and then take them out from a distance, I have the advantage of speed, and until this point my weapons had at best the same range as them.

Yes I have a strategy that should do it, that should defeat these guys but I realise that it won't be easy because of making sure that Magoichi will not only be on his own, but that I'll have enough time to get him, and right now I need to ensure that I can run away and split from them, and see if I can navigate my way around to the so called lady's man Magoichi who I like to think will use his Barrett 50cal as his weapon of choice, but will he? He might be aware of our strategy and instead just go after one of us, I guess I'll have to see though the rather annoying thing is, is that right now there is the matter of avoiding the over whelming enemy pursuers.

I know that splitting up will be the best method and then seeing if we can take out each allies' enemies like before, but can we avoid getting hit enough, hmmmm. It's the only way considering that just taking cover and fighting them will do no good considering the amount of damage we have already from doing that. I worry that if we split up, they might just decide to go for Lastation and to do their duty and start the conflict, but we have no choice.

And so we all split up, having no idea who will chase who, but I know that it won't be easy, especially with how so many of them are shooting at us, and annoyingly we get hit a few times by them, but at least we're gaining ground and the forces are being split up, and I like to think that we can get each other's enemies, but I realise that considering the size of our forces there'll still be a at least a significant portion of enemies, but at least the bosses aren't too numerous, and if I can shoot down one boss where that one isn't assisted by another, then it will help tremendously, but this is if my allies and myself can survive against all of these enemies.

I then realise that the icing on the cake is that there'll be another wave and another wave and another one after that, but at least that will be it after that, though it is a lot of troops to deal with, and what we have to deal with right now, is a lot, though with this said we won't let it stop us.

Upon having recent memories of me seeing those eight bosses that I recognise, I then realise that those who are after us won't all be as quick as us due to the armour that they have, though it may provide them more protection than without it, hmmmm. My health is low and I'm not sure how much more hits I can take, and there's also the fact that I'm in serious pain though at least it's not to the point that it's difficult for me to move, because I need mobility, if we are to stand a chance.

Interestingly enough, I manage to make some distance from them, such that they are still chasing me but they're out of range. I look behind me and notice that while the enemy troops are pursuing me, there are two enemy bosses: Ginchiyo and Mitsunari and while the tsundere Ginchiyo is running with the enemies, though the cynical unpleasant Mitsunari is running he is some distance behind, as he's using his sniper rifle. Hmmmm, but even with that potentially helpful fact, I still intend to stick with my plan because the unpleasant strategist Mitsunari despite having the weapon I want is aware of me, though I do need to see where my ideal target is, and hope then I can defeat that target because if so, then it will make it much easier, though that is if my allies can survive for long enough.

I only hope that the ally I'm about to help is relatively alright, and that the enemy boss, I can easily take down, though I shouldn't really hope for too much considering what we've experienced earlier. Amazingly though, I manage to find Tadakatsu going after Nagamasa, well, I know he'll be ever so tough from his armour, but I cannot leave my ally to them, just because of how tough he is, and besides which I like to think that I can get him, though I wonder if I'll have enough bullets from my shot gun from him, hmm maybe I'm better off taking out his assisting minions first and go from there. Hmmmm.

Yeah I probably won't get many if I do a pass, but if I can just bleed them then it will help, it's the only strategy I've got if I am to survive, and if my ally does a pass on my enemy pursuers then it will bleed them too, that way we can keep them together, and hopefully, hopefully, we can defeat them before the next wave comes and we can wipe out the enemy bosses, but even then just getting them to chase us and then take out the pursuers by passes, should be enough to wipe them all out, especially if we can run faster than them.

And so I run towards Nagamasa's pursuers as quickly as I can, though I realise that Tadakatsu because of his armour will be some distance behind them, and so he could end up firing his deadly machine gun at me, well I can run towards them while avoiding this foe, if only I could evade my pursuers because then I could just take these guys out and then deal with this armoured warrior all by myself, but with those pursuers still behind me it's not to be. Maybe it's for the best though because if they were no longer after me, they could just head for Lastation which will prove disastrous.

OK Black let's do this, at least it's good that I can get there and I manage to kill a good few of them before they are alerted, and I'm forced to run away from them, as they try and pursue me, well some of them though and at this time Nagamasa then hides behind some trees and manages to take out a good number of them, before having to retreat as he gets shot a few times by them. Well at least it means that the lord of Azai will have much better odds, though I've got more pursuers after me in exchange, and I highly doubt that my male ally from Azai will be able to take the armoured foe on let alone down, hmmmm, maybe I could try and do passes against Tadakatsu, if my ally is still alive that is.

But even so he will be very tough to take down, I need to take him down with a sniper, as opposed to with my shotgun, and so I instruct my ally to just have those guys pursue him, and for him to join me so that we can bleed the enemies that are harassing our allies: White and Stealth who my gut tells me have more health than us both.

I then head to their location as does my ally Nagamasa, to where White and Stealth are, though interestingly enough Uni informs me that they're trying to head over to us and to take out some of our pursuers in such a way as to avoid getting shot themselves, this is wonderful though annoyingly, Uni also informs me that there is another wave that will be here any minute, oh dear, maybe perhaps the lord of Azai can deal with those guys and buy us some time, since his pursuers are light.

If we can just get a decent amount of these villains, then it will help tremendously, and if we can get the minions and then the bosses, then it shouldn't be too bad, especially if I can get the sniper first and then take them out from a distance. In fact I could use a sniper rifle against the minions, that way I can kill them, retreat when they get too close, and then kill some more, until they're all dead, come on, we can do this, we can beat all of the waves, but there is the matter of doing it itself, and it won't be easy, it won't be easy at all.

And so we do our best with putting our plan into action and to do our pass against the enemy pursuers that are going after our allies, taking out as many of them as we can, only to find that we only take out a few of them, though the rather interesting thing is, is that we appear to have swapped pursuers, as the ones pursuing myself and Nagamasa, are no longer after us and instead are dealing with White and Stealth, though with these guys they're trying to take us down rather than pursue our two allies.

The tragic thing is we get shot far too many times for our liking, and so we have no choice but to try and flee and avoid the enemy bullets that are coming our way, leaving the enemies to pursue us, and forcing my ally to do his best while I head for the enemy bosses who were originally after White and Stealth: Magoichi and Ranmaru Mori.

I honestly hope that I can pull this off, because it will not be easy, not with how it's 2 against 1, and they have a lot of health whereas I don't, in fact they only need to shoot me a few times and then I'm dead, if I can just knock them down, take their weapon and then flee all without being shot at in the process, it won't be easy but I've got no choice. I need that weapon so that I can attack from afar and flee when they get too close, it's the only way to defeat these guys, I'll be fine as long as I don't get hit and yet this is the only way, and getting hit is ever so likely.

First thing is first, to see where the sniper rifle is, is it held or is it on their back, because that will determine how I will do it, I know which rifle to get and that's the Barrett50cal because it can penetrate through all of those trees, the thing is I don't have much time to react because I know that it won't be long before Nagamasa gets killed by those overwhelming number of enemies.

I notice that they're running towards Nagamasa and where they think I am with my visions and it is with my visions, that I notice that Magoichi has his Barrett50cal on his back, ok, I just have to shoot him and Ranmaru, and then take the rifle and shoot at them both, with the rifle in my hands. I keep playing what I'm about to do in my head so that I can be ready to do it, but even so it concerns me as to whether I actually can do it, but I have no choice and I like to think that I can. I can run quickly and it's not far from the trees and the shock should make it such that they don't try and shoot me down, not at least for a short while which should be enough, I just hope that it is the case though.

And so I rush towards them while they run, and it is then that I have caught them by surprise as I shoot them both with a few bullets knocking them to the side, before I rush towards Magoichi and shoot Ranmaru to keep them pinned down. Interestingly enough the pair of them then say something to me as I pin the so called ladies' man down and take his weapon off him.

"Urgh, what's going on now, if this was done by a lady I wouldn't mind at all, though unless of course it's by Blanc or Noire, what a shame they're ever so good looking, but they stand in the way of our desires.

Mind you I would love for them to be my ladies who work for us you know, maybe I can get them to change their ways, especially considering how no woman has ever resisted my charms." Magoichi protests, as he grunts in pain from me standing on his back, while I pull his rifle off his back.

"Who would do such a thing, is this the same people as those that killed my lord Nobunaga? I will avenge his death and carry out his dream for him." Ranmaru adds, though his tone expresses aggression.

I then respond to them both considering how I think little of them since they clearly support Nobunaga, who though maybe brainwashed by Noh dared threaten us with a war on two fronts, as well as to cause untold misery to Oichi, not to mention who knows how many Loweeans who are innocent and have suffered the tyranny of Team Rocket.

"Hah, Noire and Blanc are way more than just being extremely attractive, they are kind, caring, wise, hardworking and organised, as well as excellent leaders. Shame on you for not appreciating anything else about those CPU's, other than how attractive they are.

And as for you Ranmaru, instead of just blindly following Nobunaga, why do you not see for yourself what sort of leader he has become, and see for yourself whether you should serve him and if not use words to persuade him to change, and if not fight against him and find a new leader to follow. Then again if you can't do that I will happily help you join him." I respond to them, as I have the rifle and finish off firing my AA12 at him.

Well, I have the Barrett 50cal, but after all this I realise that Ranmaru has a sniper rifle of his own, so he'll be a tough opponent to defeat, oh so much for my plan but I must not let that deter me, though it will be quite a challenge in fighting both a boss and a sniper boss with the pair of them having much more health than me.

Oh well, at least by the time they start firing at me, I've been quick enough to avoid their fire as I rush through the trees, and though I expected the rifle to be heavy and for me to be slow from the pain, my perk a colas is such that carrying these weapons are no problem, and that I can still run quickly as I dodge through the trees, with bullets whizzing past me.

This is not going well, I know that I need to avoid getting hit by Ranmaru, while avoiding Magoichi until I've defeated the sniper who even though I have wounded will be very difficult to kill, especially with his gun, it's this hitting the enemy loads of times while avoid getting hit, again, then again I could try and just flee and harass other bosses instead, but if I do that then they could either go after Lastation, or continue to pursue me.

Well, I was expecting this; at least I tried my best in making it easier. Hmmm, I do wonder whether my Barret 50cal has more range because if I do have more range then I'll have the advantage, but if he has more range or even if it's equal to mine, then it'll be no good. Oh but how to get him, how to get him? Hmm I fear that this will be it, I just feel that I will fall to these guys, and what saddens me is how my allies have fallen apart once again, and our enemies have not even been dealt with, it's all because of those minions, who were just ever so numerous for us to deal with.

No I must stop thinking like that, I can defeat him and I will defeat him, I will find a way. I have speed, I have some health, and I have my vision, I just need to ensure that I shoot him such that I've seen him without using my visions so that he doesn't become suspicious of me, for as far as he's concerned, I am not someone with special abilities, I am just a boss working for the opposing side of his, who happens to be very, very tough.

I remember that he may be the toughest yet, because if I can defeat him then provided the ammunition is enough I can defeat the other bosses, and the other enemy soldiers without any trouble, and we will have done it, we will have stopped the invasion of Lastation and then we can go onto rescue Ash and Dawn, but then again that is if I can defeat the other snipers because I quickly realise that there is Mitsunari as well.

Of course there is the matter of thinking of a strategy of defeating the enemy boss sniper who is ever so loyal to Nobunaga; I continue to think as I gain distance while running through the trees, occasionally checking to see if they're still pursuing me which they are. Come on Black think, think, think, think.
