Lily Finds Her Mom

After Lily’s 18th birthday before she heads off to college she wants to at first find her birth family which causes tension between her and her Dads.After a huge argument,Lily gets grounded that isnt until Lily sneaks out and tricks her older cousin Haley into taking her.Follow Lily and Haley as the both of them team up into finding her family before their family catches them.

6. Chapter 6:Birth Documents

While Lily waited for the voice on the phone to get back to her, there was this sound of music on the phone. As she waited, she looked out the window, it was a sunny day. Finally, the voice was back.

"Okay. So Lily, I have your birth documents. It says here that you were born September 23rd,2009 at Franco-Vietnamese Hospital. The hospital is in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. All of these records are from before you were transported to America as a newborn. Our adoption agency, we has some records on your mother and none of your father. Would you like to hear them?",asked the voice on the phone.

Lily could feel her heart pound in her chest as they mentioned her mother. Lily is going to hear about her biological mother! Lily does love her Dads, but ,she always wanted to know about her biological mother. Now, this time, she was finally going to find out.

"Yes I would like to hear!" Shouted Lily as she was nodding her head in agreement.

"Okay Lily, your mother was a Vietnamese woman who placed you up for adoption. She couldn't bring herself to have an abortion, at the time. She didn't want her family to know that she was pregnant, so, she hid you for months until she gave birth. It says here that she is still living in Vietnam.", explained the voice on the phone.

Hearing that made Lily jump for joy. Her real mother is still living in Vietnam which means she could go and meet her!

"Thank you so much!", shouted Lily into the phone.

"No problem. You are already of legal age. You are allowed to visit her and see her.", explained the laughing voice on the phone.

Lily went silent. She didn't know what to say. Sure, her Dads wouldn't mind on a family vacation, but, after their fight earlier that would just make the tension in the household worse. Then, she realized that she is 18! She is a legal adult now and could make her own decisions. So, Lily hung up. She went back to open her laptop to google, "Vietnam", to look for flight tickets. Once she checked and double checked, she clicked on a page on her laptop for her to purchase.
