Chapter 151: Nepgear can't escape
Note: Readers please listen to Hitman 2016 A World of Assassination OST while reading this:
The sun has set now and it is replaced with a full moon and bright stars, in a cloudless sky, which upon looking at this makes me think that dawn will inevitably come, the dawn of a place free from the Planeptune CPEwws, and the beginning of an era free from it, an era where the whole world not just a nation can grow and prosper. Of course this is a long way off, as for starters while Plutia has been captured and dealt with appropriately, Nepgear is next before we can then deal with Neptune, and hopefully then finally be able to break free of this nightmare, and get back to work in the universe we currently inhabit, and do what we can to make it better, by recapturing what has been lost bit by bit until we can retake Lowee, and hopefully even the fight.
Even if it appears that we have the edge due to knowing when and where the candidate will be, I have no doubt that she'll put up a fight, and do what she can to get out of the airfield, that is assuming she'll be there, since Histoire may have managed to tip them off. It's hard to know exactly how it'll play out, but to help us play it by ear and to prepare, we have arrived with equipment, and weaponry to help us. We have also had some R and R, rest and relaxation to recover our strength, in which that included some nice food consisting of battered fish and chips, battered beef and chicken burgers with cheese, bacon and salad, all this with mushy peas, curry sauce, tartare sauce, pineapple and banana fritters, kebab meat both doner and chicken, bread and butter, along with deep fried chocolate bars and Mr whippy ice cream, with sauces of different flavours including strawberry, vanilla, chocolate, toffee and mint.
It's definitely nice food, and it does remind us of where we came from despite not knowing where exactly, especially as we ate in a fish and chip shop restaurant, and that place with its facilities and themes does bring nice memories for us. It's weird to be able to eat such nice food in a nightmare such as this, where Neptune is in complete control, I would have suspected the food to be awful in an attempt to demoralise us, and to taunt us, but then again is this because of her laziness, and it could be from a simulation already set up some time ago, but she's edited it with things such as her troops taking over certain places, in an attempt to test us repeatedly, until we're at the point of exhaustion and fail as a result of it? It could be because of cruel mercy, to show us what we support is like before she tries to take it away. Maybe the food itself has been cursed in some way, yet we don't feel different, in fact if anything we feel more refreshed.
It's not just the food, but we were able to play video games for a short while to help relax us, this being Pacman, Pole Position and Space Invaders, and like the food they were of decent quality. In fact we feel more upbeat than ever before in this nightmare, due to the knowledge that unlike Plutia where it was just us three pursuing Plutia, and the rest of us in parliament and other areas, trying to secure those positions to prevent their ultimate rule from taking place, I feel like we have an edge as this time we can have more troops at where we really need them to be, and this is especially the case with the hotels that were captured by our enemies being liberated and in a manner to avoid suspicion that we knew of their location at the start.
The thing is there's still the issue of ensuring that Nepgear does not know that we know she was going to head to the airfield, and as a result it's just us three at the exact area, with the rest of our forces some fair distance away, ready to attack the enemy checkpoints and the enemies patrolling the surrounding area. It's too risky for there to be more forces of ours to come here due to the patrols, in which they have access to radios and they are contacted frequently.
It's frustrating that we cannot assassinate Nepgear despite the ease of doing so, since we need information on Neptune's whereabouts and what she's planning if we are to defeat her and get out of this nightmare, so that we can fight for Gameindustri once again for the people's prosperity and security, as well as the sovereignty of all of our people. Therefore, we'll have to disable her means of escape and ensure she's captured, but doing so will be a challenge due to the amount of guards there'll be, and the fact that as soon as she's in the plane they'll take off shortly, and yet if we try and infiltrate this place we could get spotted and they can get away, hmmmmm a seemingly impossible task, though we are up for the challenge.
At least I have time to think albeit not much, and the thought of Nepgear not actually showing up at all, does pop into my head from time to time, even if the radio chatter of theirs which Uni has hacked into says that she'll be here as originally planned.
I look around to see where exactly the enemies are so that I can bear that in mind when we attempt our capture of the candidate, even if I find that apart from a few lights from lampposts, and large lights in which there's four together, and they remind me of stadium lights, it's not very well lit. But at least I can make out the rear end of a white cargo plane, with the door opened, and is full of large boxes and crates. It's a struggle to make out the exact model; maybe because it's made up for this nightmare, but it is large that's for sure.
There are crates and boxes nearby outside the back of the aircraft, no doubt ready to be loaded and are guarded by a significant number of them, and there's also open top purple jeeps likely old land rovers with metal roofs scattered about. Nearby is a building of some sort, no doubt a warehouse for the plane's cargo and next to it a control tower, which is reasonably lit up.
While there doesn't appear to be many enemies and the cover doesn't appear to be much, we are pretty concerned that we could get flanked, and can only hope that we can somehow capture Nepgear without dying, but the trouble is we can't think how since she'll board the plane soon, and trying to get disguises is out of the question as they do regular roll calls of their own troops here, in fact it's been a challenge to get here, and we had to rely on using wire cutters at dark areas and ensuring that the wires are put back so that without a proper look, they appear as though they haven't been tampered with.
Then there's keeping a good eye on the enemies' whereabouts while navigating through, along with dealing with trees and hills and other objects, and while we should be able to secure the area with us having superior numbers in the surrounding area, all this time Nepgear can still get away.
This means the only way to do it is to stop the plane and to do so when she arrives so that then she'll be trapped, but how to do so without killing her? Hmmm. Upon looking for explosive barrels to blow up only for there not to be any and thinking that it's too risky in any case, I soon realise that when the plane is on the ground it needs wheels to support, as well as to allow it to move, so that it can accelerate at a quick enough speed so that it can take off. If at least some of the wheels can be shot then the support won't be there, and therefore the plane will fall down and no longer be able to move, this preventing the candidate from escaping and will also mean she'll be trapped in there or at least this area, and we can wait for reinforcements to assist us in capturing her.
While at first I have a concern as to being able to take out the wheels, since I haven't seen them yet, upon further looking around I find a couple and it should be a clear shot, furthermore we even have a way of taking out the wheels without them suspecting an attack, at least not unless they inspect the thing, which would give us time to move to a safe location, and to commence our attack on the airfield to capture the candidate.
Now we just need to wait for her to board the cargo plane and we can strike her, we'll know when exactly she'll come, through the radio communications that we've intercepted, and we'll recognise her easily, and no doubt she'll have a distinctive appearance just as we always knew she would, though to be fair mine, Noire and Uni's appearance is distinctive as well.
Upon exchanging glances with my allies, we all share looks of concern about how easy this all is, especially with what we've been through, while with the weaponry and skills we have, we should be able to shoot the wheel and then hide so that we can capture her at the right moment, we can't help but wonder if there'll be something to make this plan go awry and yet what though? This is our nemesis' nightmare it's never that simple, and yet what have we failed to anticipate? What would our counter move be in case it does go awry? It can only be to get onto the jeep ASAP and to pursue the plane in hopes it can be boarded or stopped, but would we be able to get to the nearest jeep without falling here?
It's hard to say but as always we can only rely on the plan, and the ability to react to any changing situations quickly and correctly, which I hope I'll be able to do so as it isn't easy to do so, since reacting to things on the fly can be difficult, and it can be demoralising when a plan has been thought out with all possible avenues covered, only for it to go awry. As usual we can only do our best and not let concerns get us down, especially as we'll need to focus and rely on our abilities particularly since it's got us this far.
Eventually we learn that our target has passed through our checkpoints, and will arrive shortly with a significant number of troops, and that the cargo plane will take off as soon as she boards. Hearing this does bring pressure to us and we exchange concerned looks. It's pressure because it's not just in that we have to be ready for this and to make sure that it's correct, like taking a penalty shot in a sport for a nation, or answering the hardest question in a quiz game correctly, but it'll be even harder if we fail to shoot the wheel, as if it fails we'll have to rely on another method to stop the plane and capture Nepgear, which is harder to plan how exactly it can be done quickly and safely, and increased enemies will make it harder to board the nearest jeep, and we will have less time to get to them if they are to take off as soon as she arrives.
Once again as you readers will have guessed, we can only do our best and hope that our allies will move in closer and be able to keep the enemy distracted, as we attempt our advance.
I then notice a large purple jeep of the same make as the others, approach the plane, and it's hard to say whose inside whether it's our target herself or more of their people. In fact the jeep stops just outside the plane as if to board it and one of the guards then approaches the driver side of the jeep. This concerns me as I can't be sure if she's in the truck, and I worry that while they'll likely say via radio it could be too late, and yet we cannot commence our attack unless we know for sure that she's in the plane, and while we could just wait until it moves and try and shoot the wheels, I don't know if we'd be in range at that point.
Fortunately, we just make out Nepgear's distinctive face but that's it, nothing about the clothes she's wearing only that she's wearing a lot of makeup, as if she's dressed up for a formal location and occasion, which does make me wonder if she's going to meet Neptune at somewhere specific, somewhere significant regarding us, but that's of no consequence right now, as we need to capture her first. What matters is that to go with the radio telling us that she's arrived, we've seen her for ourselves, and that her attempt to dress to impress will be for nothing. Ok this is it, just to have to wait until she or the jeep boards the plane, and then we can shoot at the tyre with a dart so that they wouldn't immediately suspect they've been shot deliberately, and in that time we can hide and wait for reinforcements.
It's not long before the jeep drives into the plane and it is then that we shoot at the wheels with our dart guns, designed to take out along with enemies, large wheels like that of a plane. The lack of noise pleases me as they don't suspect anything yet, but then just at the last moment, an enemy guard who must have been checking the bottom of the plane for safety purposes, then walks into the path of the darts, meaning that rather than the wheels getting shot he does instead.
Nuts, just as we were concerned could happen, we fail to shoot the tyres and the thing is we don't have another opportunity as more guards stand in front of the wheels, being prepared to give their lives so that their leader can escape, and while we can shoot them and try again, the plane is moving now, and there's guards in the way trying to find us, and this makes it too risky to try again without getting shot at it in return.
We exchange looks of shock at this development, but then our looks become determination as we will not give in. We'll just have to try an alternative way of stopping the plane. We call for help from our allies nearby, so that they can engage the enemy reinforcements and helping to negate them such that they can't attack us, and we'll have to quickly defeat the enemies with our M16s with M203 grenade launcher attachments, dual mags and ACOG scopes, in which while the enemies are significant in number, at least there aren't any enemy reinforcements near the plane itself. And while the enemies here know something's up they don't know where we are exactly, due to the fact that they only knew when one of their guys died by our darts and by the time they noticed we already hid at our position.
Nevertheless, it will only be a matter of time before they know, and so we'll have to take them out quickly, and hope that we can do so before the enemy reaches our flank. There's nothing else for it but to mow any that we see, and rush towards the nearest makeshift cover that will help lead us to the nearest jeep, and rely on the hope that they'll be looking out for us and not taking cover as we are not firing on them yet.
We open fire on them, mowing many of them down, and doing this with ease as they are not necessarily looking towards our exact location. While more enemies come towards us they get shot too, as they also do not exactly know where we are due to us shooting from cover. It does get quite precarious at times due to them shooting in our approximate direction in response, and in fact there have been many times where we almost got shot by them, exchanging glances of relief as a result. As the plane moves on the runway, and even at the current speed it still unnerves us, we manage to move forward to another makeshift cover closer to the car, hoping that we don't get flanked soon, and hoping that they will not think to go around and ambush there, and instead rush towards us in an attempt to protect their leader out of panic.
It's not long before enemy troops that approach us are replaced by enemies in jeeps, though at least while they're quicker they don't have more powerful armaments that can be fitted onto those things like missile launchers or machine guns. At first I thought about whether to use grenades from my grenade launcher against them due to the risk of the explosion affecting the plane possibly, but then how else can the aircraft be stopped now, since darts will be too slow to reach the target, and it'll take too long to shoot all the wheels needed to stop the plane. I decide to take the risk and use grenades to take out one of the jeeps, before shooting the driver in such a place that he'd swerve as a result of reacting to where he got hit, before killing him and the passengers.
We quickly head for another crate to use as makeshift cover, being concerned that there's nothing to protect our flank, and that my Lastation CPU and Candidate are having to keep anyone who could flank us at bay without any cover. The thing is upon reaching the crate and doing our best to deal with the enemies, I notice that the plane is not only getting away, but is increasing in speed and I worry that it won't be too long before it leaves the runway, and then there'll be no means of tracking her or Neptune down.
Worse than this, more jeeps approach and I notice that there are more enemies behind us though they are taking cover to avoid getting shot. It does make us feel that this mission will end in failure, and all because an enemy had to get in the way of us firing the darts at the wheels.
The thing is, I then notice that the jeep we're after isn't too far at all from here, and not only this, but it has it's back to us meaning we can just drive towards the plane, and we should be able to catch up to the plane in this thing, and if we can keep the enemy at bay with our spraying and praying at their direction, then we should be able to reach the jeep and be able to get going, without any of us dying.
We make use of all the smoke grenades we have for cover, in which because of the other equipment that we have and the need to be agile is only one, and we are pleased that we have enough considering the short distance we need to travel compared to before, and that we only need to make it to the vehicle before no longer having to go from cover to cover for this mission, to avoid getting shot from the rear without the cover there, plus which I feel that there's more enemies approaching us, now that they are fully aware of our presence, and have no doubt alerted the enemies in the vicinity who are not busy dealing with our allies.
We manage to get into the jeep but not without experiencing a few shots in our direction that almost hit us, which is nerve wracking to say the least as we exchange looks mixed relief of concern, and it's also an immense relief that the car is unlocked and the key is in the ignition, no doubt due to the need for guards to commander the vehicle so that they can head to the other side in case of attack there.
As soon as we're all in before we even shut the door, Uni speeds off heading for the plane while I ride shotgun taking out any enemies in front and my side, and Noire is covering the rear and the other side. While it may be possible for us to shoot the tyres or perhaps ram them, there is concern we won't be able to catch up to where we need to be, as the plane is accelerating and will inevitably take off, fortunately we have a device to deal with this issue, a remote control car with explosives though we need to ensure the jeeps are taken care off as best as possible, so that there's no risk of it being run over or shot by an enemy who not only notices it but knows the significance of it.
We engage the enemies that surround us as best as possible, though even if we can hide from cover without being flanked this time, there is still concern about getting shot when we look for them and then there's also the issue of not being able to deal with the enemies in time, for unlike Plutia who at least it was just a case of needing to follow and keep a fair eye on, to ensure we don't lose her, the plane will go real soon, and perhaps sooner than we think as its picking up speed by the second.
Never the less, as it's always the case, we cannot let it get us down, and as usual we will have to do our best, at least there aren't too many jeeps and they're only armed with small arms fire, and we all have grenade launchers which can take these vehicles out with ease, but I have no doubt that even with this area being surrounded by our allies, there'll be more enemies to come here, since getting their leader to safety is their top priority, over being able to survive in which it has to be said isn't likely, and they'll either fight to the death or surrender, most likely the former.
They will certainly make it harder if not impossible to have a clear run with the explosive remote control car. This has to be timed such that there are minimal enemy vehicles attacking our newly acquired jeep, but we don't spend too long dealing with them such that the plane gets away and with that, our only lead on Neptune.
As I am to drive the remote control car, I can only make my best judgement as to when to deploy it, and with what we know, we'll need to deal with most of the vehicles before the remaining jeeps are close enough to us, and when I drive it, I will let Uni borrow my gun so that she has more ammunition before she needs to reload, which should help her as I'm having to repeatedly reload her gun for her when she needs to, as she's driving the jeep.
Upon taking a peek I notice that along with a couple of jeeps with a few enemies in each one firing at us, I notice that there are enemies in the rear of the plane itself, there are a few with AK47s in which they get mowed down with minimal difficulty, but then there a couple of them armed with RPGs and while they are taken down quickly as well, it does concern me that they have them, for one shot of them hitting our car means it's game over for us, if you readers get my drift.
Uni notices this alarming development and in response, drives to the side of the road such that anyone in the rear of the plane doesn't have direct line of sight of us. While there is the issue of enemies in the jeep having such weapons, it's better than nothing and we can only hope that there's only RPGs in the plane because Nepgear intends to transport them with her, and that there won't be any RPG users in the jeeps, because of them not seeing a need for them.
I then take out one of the enemy jeeps in front with a grenade from my M203 before spraying and praying with bullets, at the other jeep as enemy bullets whistle around with a fair few barely hitting us before reloading both the M16 and M203 as quickly as possible, once again exchange glances of relief as to how close that was.
It's just as well that I have a fresh grenade in my launcher due to the fact that Noire informs us of two cars that are behind us, attempt to drive such that they'd be on each side of our car in an attempt to ram and shoot us at close range, in response while they're still at the rear albeit not for long, me and Uni choose to give Noire our rifles in a way such that she can grab them quickly, so that she can shoot the grenades from each M203 at each car, before they can get to our sides as opposed to being behind us.
We do this because the M203 needs to be fired at a long enough distance for it to arm itself and explode on impact. After which the Lastation goddess upon saying how close that was and we then exchange thanks and praise for our performances, gives us back our rifles so that we can deal with the enemy in front, and once again timing proves to be the key here since the enemy jeep in front tries to ram us but the driver gets shot.
A couple more jeeps are nearby in front and with them firing at us we can only hide and spray and pray, only for us to find that there's an explosion nearby, and it almost affects our jeep as it finishes just before we drive through where the explosion happened. Oh that's not good, who knows what would have happened had we've been anywhere near the explosion, still, we can only continue to rely on our luck as I peek out, only to find that one of the enemies in one of the jeeps is loading a fresh rocket in which I shoot at it, causing the rocket to explode and destroy the jeep in the process.
At the near front there are no longer any more jeeps due to us managing to shoot them, whether it's the wheels which have caused the occupants to fall out as it's only one side of them that were shot, or the occupants themselves, and we soon drive past them but then there are more jeeps coming that are significant in number from a fair distance, and worse, the plane appears to be ready to take off at any minute.

As a result, now is as good as time as any to deploy the remote control car, in which I quickly open the door, carefully placing the small vehicle onto the ground before quickly shutting the door, and peeking out as best as I could with the remote control in my hands steering it as best as I could, as it leaves our car and heads for our target: the landing wheels. I can only rely on the green lights on it to help see it in the dark and in the distance, and I can only hope that I never lose sight of the small car or it'll be hard if not impossible to steer it to the desired destination.
This is rather risky even if there's no other choice, as the jeeps could shoot us dead even if I manage to drive the thing into the desired part of the plane. Yet again we can only hope that either the destruction of the plane distracts the enemy jeeps, that the allies shoot them from behind, or that Uni is able to defeat some of the jeeps by herself, and that I can do the same as soon as the remote control reaches the destination and can be detonated, or a combination of those desired outcomes happen.
Along the way, just as I was concerned may happen, there are vehicles in the way that has to be navigated through, and worse, there is the issue of having to duck from enemy fire, which means I lose track of the remote control car, and have to rely on memory and guess work as to where it is now, it is annoying as while I could slow down, that may not make much difference, and if anything I'll have to speed up the vehicle again. It' most unfortunate it doesn't come with a camera in which I can access the film of it live, nor is there anyone from up high able to track the vehicle live and therefore be able to relay the information to me.
It is then though that Uni sprays and prays from cover, having the same trouble as me in being able to see where we're going, though soon afterwards we're able to peek again, and I manage to find the remote control car after some good guesswork in a fairly quick time, finding that it's gone past some jeeps, even though there are more jeeps for the thing to go under. At least they haven't noticed the little car just yet, though I do notice a jeep that the car is under along with other jeeps behind it, moves in a direction such that while heading in our direction is also away from the plane, making it more difficult to steer the car without crashing into a wheel that's moving perpendicular towards the path of the small car as opposed to just parallel, and so with this in mind, I try to steer towards the plane without reducing too much speed, hoping that it doesn't get run over by one of its wheels.
Fortunately it doesn't get smashed but upon noticing the car, I do get a sense that it was an extremely close one. It's rather nerve wracking as I'm getting more and more concerned that the plane will take off even though the land vehicle is getting closer and closer to the aircraft.
Suddenly though, Uni is forced to swerve our jeep to the other side of the road to dodge an RPG shot that almost hits us, meaning that once again I lose track of the car and again have to rely on memory. After some careful steering of it and looking for it once again, I notice it being close to the back of the plane after noticing an enemy jeep nearby convincing me that once again it was very likely for that car to have been crushed. The jeeps approaching us that concern us greatly are now driving around the plane turbines in which there's two on each wing, and with them opening fire we have to duck again, forcing me to guess where the remote control car is exactly, and hoping that it's still in one piece for it be rather tragic for this plan to fail after getting this close to success.
After the Lastation CPU Candidate fires back, despite them carrying on firing at us, I make a brave peek as I need to know exactly where it is, and after noticing it at the last second before ducking again out of instinct in which it turned out to be correct, as a bullet has hit through where my head was, I then manage to steer it so that it's under the plane where the wheels are, and I press the detonation, and the loud explosion of the plane informs me that I've hit the target.
Well, we've done the best that we can, and we've done all that we can to prevent Nepgear's escape, and I say this as while we've successfully prevented her escape by taking out the landing wheels before they are no longer needed, I realise that with the explosion it'll become chaotic and I can't be sure if we'll be able to survive, since we could get crushed or shot, and while this is more important, there's also the issue ironically enough of whether the Planeptune CPU Candidate survives so that ultimately she can be captured, or at least is there information concerning Neptune's whereabouts, be it in the wreckage that will be the plane, or in the nearby area.
We can only hope and that is something of a big theme in this nightmare, as opposed to being able to purely rely on our equipment and abilities, which is more of a guarantee and ensures more of a responsibility on our part, and encourages us to do our best and to improve all that we have and can. I peek out so at least I have an awareness of what's precisely going on around me, and be able to respond appropriately.
I see in front the turbines of the plane on our side to be in flames, and that the aircraft is tilted on one side with its wing covering the floor, and jeeps scrambling around not sure how to evade the plane, as are we, though the enemies are still trying to shoot at us, forcing us to hide and shoot from cover. I then peek again, only to find that the plane has turned to the side, and this in turn has caused the jeeps on our side to crash, though one of them ends up hitting the side of our jeep, causing our vehicle to swerve significantly before they crash.
Uni somehow manages to drive past the plane, only for there to be a couple of cars behind who manage to ram us and are in a position such that they're pushing us in a specific part, that makes it hard for us to drive away from them, we manage to shoot them before they shoot at us, but they manage to push us with enough force that our jeep gets knocked to one side.
Nuts, we're trapped and there are some enemy jeeps approaching us, in which we fire our grenades and spray and pray our entire magazines at them, hoping that's enough to take them out since my gut is telling me that we need to get out of this jeep and fast, even if there's risk of exposure to any possible enemy fire despite all that has happened.
I take a quick look around only for there to be no more enemies, apparently at least which is a relief considering the situation, not to mention the concerns of ammunition especially since there's no means of acquiring new weaponry.
Despite it being a challenge due to what my body has been through with that crash, I manage to lift my legs up through the broken window, as it's been shot due to bullets, and onto the bonnet before as gently as possible sliding to the ground, and doing my best not to hurt myself in the landing in which I manage to do so.
I feel as though it's just as well, as suddenly one of the large wings of that now destroyed plane is falling in our direction and will crush us if we don't get out fast, and yet all I can do due to where it'll be and the time left before it'll be there, is to side roll away from it as quickly as I can, since I do not want to take my chances lying next to the jeep, and hoping that the jeep will prevent the wing from falling at enough of a height so that it would hit me, especially as this is Neptune's nightmare and she could perhaps determine the laws of physics as to how strong a wing and jeep is, to frustrate and defeat me.
I can only hope that not only do I survive this wing, but Noire and Uni does as well, and that despite how difficult it must have been for them, they have been able to get out of the jeep without too much trouble at least. I also hope that if we survive this, that there are no more enemies and we can just get the information we need to track Neptune down and ultimately put a stop to her nefarious plans. The problem is that it's a big if, as I roll as quickly as possible just as the wing falls at a quick speed, in fact darkening the lit up road with the size of the thing.
It's ever so frustrating that it's been an absolute struggle to even be able to confront them, and it has been an outright challenge to take out Plutia, and we even had to deal with our plan going awry to defeat Nepgear, and the thing is there's no idea of her whereabouts right now, or her condition. All of what we've been through to end here, not even able to find Neptune so that she can properly be defeated, the main nemesis, the leader of all those cronies who have plagued our dreams, our place of origin and place we currently inhabit albeit with her in the shadows.
It's tragic how despite me being able to potentially roll out of here, there's still luck involved as to whether I manage to or not, as this all depends on how long it takes a wing to crush the jeep, and how much more the wing has to go.
Yes luck, ironic how we're sort of lucky to get this far, and yet it's bad luck that has stopped our darts from hitting the wheels, which would have allowed us to sit tight and wait for our allies to attack, encircle and capture our target, and now we have to rely on some luck being kind to us to ensure we can carry on to the end, in which I hope will be soon since it's just finding and stopping Neptune since Plutia is gone, and the Planeptune CPEwww Candidate should be too soon enough.
Rather than luck ultimately determining if we survive or not, win or lose, I'd much rather it be based on skill as with skill we can do our best, and we can improve, innovate when necessary and always use the best methods and equipment for the job, but this is a nightmare, Neptune's nightmare. In fact it's like her horrible declining series where luck would protect her, make her out to be good when in reality she's not. At least we can be proud in the knowledge that unlike in the series where that pathetic excuse of a CPU would always win and triumph and get away with her nonsense, when it comes to confrontations with them, we always win and here at worst, it'll be just one victory to them, and even then it's odds heavily stacked against us, and at best it'll be another opportunity to provide a humiliating loss to them.
As I side roll as quickly as possible away, I can only shut my eyes, as I can't bear to watch, and I can only do my best not to listen, as I cannot bear to witness the crash of the wing onto the jeep, and with it, the crushing of me, which is just as well as I don't want that to put me off my attempt to escape this. I have no doubt that this is happening to my Lastation CPU and CPU Candidate right now, but I can only think to ensure I get out first before then checking up on them, to see if they're safe and then checking the surrounding areas to see if that's clear before finding Nepgear.
