Chapter 152: No higher honour

The sky has no sun to shine the ground below. The only lights are from the ground itself as well as flames from an aircraft that looks as if it has crashed.

Inside of what's left of what appears to be a cargo plane, on its side as a result of a crash, is a woman lying on the floor.

A woman who has long pink hair which is waist length, and on her hair are what's left of a white and a peach flower, along with blue eyes with a power symbol on them, as well as pink eyeshadow and lipstick. Her face is full of bruises and cuts from the crash, and she has black eyes as well.

Her clothes consist of a pink formal ball gown with a thin strap over one shoulder, with the other being torn. On the front below her cleavage is a torn ribbon where a bow should be, and the bottom part is layered in sections with fabric on the side resembling flowers, though it's full of tears and cuts, and in places her legs can be seen, in which she appears to be wearing long socks with pink and white stripes with the stripes being horizontal, though that's torn in places and there's cuts on her legs. In fact there's tears on the torso part of her dress as well, showing her flesh where's there's painful cuts on them. She wears white gloves too that appear to be elbow length and get wider at one side, but they too are full of tears and they just like the rest of her dress are covered in dirt and smoke.

After breathing heavily and groaning in agony, the female picks up a radio nearby and while it appears broken she nevertheless tries using it in hopes of getting help, or at least informing the person she wishes to speak to of the situation.

"Neptune, this is Nepgear. Come in Neptune are you there?" She coughs, struggling to speak from the pain that she's in.

Her face speaks desperation and fear as there's no one there, and as a result she throws the radio to the side in frustration.

She then gets up despite struggling immensely to do so from the pain she suffered as a result of the crash, and picks up a nearby Beretta 92 pistol before staggering out as best as she can in hopes of being able to assess the situation that she's in.

As soon as she limps out of the plane into the open, there's a loud gunshot, and she's knocked to the floor on her back really hard. Her face shows even more pain, anger and frustration. Her gun is fairly close to her, but she's unable to get it now.

All she can do is to wait for anyone to come to her, even if it's more likely to be a specific person, the same person who is likely to have shot her, or perhaps even caused the crash in the first place. Her face now says absolute dread and terror, as her fate is most certainly in the hands of that someone.

It's not too long as people walk towards her, her face showing even more dread as she knows all too well who they are. They are…. Us three.

We are in much better shape than that pathetic candidate is, though any second slower in evading the falling wing and we would have been crushed. There's been a few more of these incidents, as there were a few guards left over trying to rush to the plane, in a vain attempt to protect it though they got shot by our forces who at this point have managed to gain a foothold here, and have managed to dedicate a fair number of soldiers to push through so that we can be assisted.

She has no one else to protect her, no one who can save her now, she's in our hands now and her looks of despair says it so clearly.

To say this is an immense relief is an absolute understatement after what we've been through, and we have exchanged many looks of relief and joy to see each other still in one piece, even seeing that pathetic excuse of a CPU Candidate stagger out, was a nice sight to behold, as with her being alive, and being the only one left here, we can interrogate her, and find out where Neptune is, and with this knowledge use it to stop whatever she plans to do in this nightmare, so that finally we can get to the universe we currently inhabit in our waking lives.

Maybe the dress that Nepgear wears is an indication of where Neptune is likely to be, somewhere grand to match her plans, or maybe something to do with our heritage, considering who she hired to try and destroy this great nation. Perhaps it's an attempt to promote their latest scheme, since her dress resembles what she wore to promote the first game with her as MC. It's appropriate that the plane crash would leave her outfit in such tatters, considering the state of the next game with her in the same role. It's also a strong reflection of how their schemes to defeat us ultimately fail, and it will include the current one in Gameindustri no matter how long it takes.

As we approach her, thoughts begin to form in my mind as regards to whether despite the position she's in, would she talk considering this is a nightmare of theirs, but we can only be optimistic and rely on the fact that since Plutia felt pain and talked, and Nepgear is a similar position right now, the candidate will give us the information that we need.

"Pathetic outfit, pathetic games, pathetic schemes. Maybe your information on Neptune's whereabouts and scheme won't be as pathetic." Noire says with smugness and confidence in her voice and with a large smile on her face.

While the Planeptune CPEwww candidate screams in agony, we drag her to a nearby building, by the arms so that she won't be able to try anything. This takes a fair amount of time, but we do this to ensure along with being able to clearly see her and her wounds so we can exploit them when necessary, that the enemy is less able to kill us, should they attempt an ambush since one of their leaders is in our hands, and they can ill afford the prospect of us knowing where Neptune is.

It takes a while before we reach there, but it doesn't matter since we have our target making amusing noises and phrases of melancholy and frustration, and when we do get there, we then take her to a room in which along with a calendar and posters, as well as a couple of cabinets, there's a light and a table and we place her on top of it, with the lamp on her, which causes her to squint as her eyes adjust at the brighter area.

"Where's Neptune?" The Lastation CPU says calmly but with a hint of intimidation.

As she says this the three of us point our guns at her legs and arms, the reason being is that if we shoot at those parts, she'll be in even more pain, where as if we were to kill her, she'll just not be in this nightmare anymore, and she'll take the vital information we need away from this nightmare as well.

Nepgear coughs and groans before speaking.

"Everyone, everyone's gone." She pleads only for us to cock our guns in an attempt to warn her.

"Where's Neptune?" Noire says again but a bit slower and with a hint of more menace.

"Gone." Nepgear says in the same tone.

After which I shoot her in the other leg causing her to scream loudly from the shot, as well as crying from the pain.

"Where's Neptune?" The Lastation CPU repeats emphasising each word, and sounding more menacing.

"Up north from here, you can't win; she has hostages in a luxurious grand country estate. It'll only be a matter of time; Neptune will come back for you and this nation." The Planeptune CPU Candidate speaks with much determination in her voice.

"Oh I know she'll be back, as always, but also as always she'll fail, just like her crappy games. Is that why she had you as MC again hoping you'll be any better, is that dress a promotion of that game? Funny how it's in the same state as your plans and series isn't it? If you tell us what exactly she plans to do there, we'll patch you up and we can show you why it's better not to keep trying to hurt us and all the people of whatever world it is." Miss Lastation responds in a calmer voice.

"I don't know… what she's planning…. I swear I don't." The Planeptune CPEwww Candidate responds in a voice that begs us to believe her.

The thing is we don't believe her, but it's then that she attempts to kill us with a weapon she concealed in the fabric of her dress near her hip. We notice this though, and Uni quickly shoots her arm forcing her to stop as her arm is in too much agony to move. The thing is, the bullet fired goes through her arm and into her torso where her lungs are, and as a result she'll die here albeit painfully and fairly long.

This proves to be bittersweet for while she has failed to kill us, we in turn have failed to get all the information that we need, since she'll be dead soon and will still be alive in Gameindustri and as a result, we no longer have anything to threaten her with. The Lastation CPU Candidate looks concerned, and quite depressed that she's inadvertently killed Nepgear when we needed her alive, but we show her looks of reassurance that she has saved our lives with her quick reaction, and that while we may not know of our nemesis' plan, we know of her location assuming it's the truth and perhaps we can work out her scheme and therefore stop it. Plus which it's just her left of all the CPUs on her side since Peashy, Plutia and now Nepgear are gone.

"All I know… is that Neptune's plan involves something that will enable to watch the Britannians and Gameindustri burn." The Candidate from Planeptune groans with determination in her voice.

We all then shoot the Planeptune CPEwww Candidate in her limbs to ensure that at least her death here will be as painful as possible, in an attempt to show her that she shouldn't have tried to kill us and instead cooperated with us. This bothers her greatly as while she'll get to leave this place and the pain will go away, the immense pain she's in right now, will make it such that from her perspective, it will last a fair amount of time, and there's nothing that can be done to make this agony go any quicker.

"The only thing that Neptune will be watching burn is her plans, and her insane ideology, along with all those who support her from their own free will." Noire says calmly, without a sign of concern as to what the Candidate from Planeptune has said.

It's hard to know whether the truth that the Lastation CPU just stated hurts her as well, or whether it's only the pain that she's in. Maybe she's hurt from ending up getting into a situation where she's in agony. Whatever the case we wait until she dies, as we wish to be sure, but we do not wish to end her suffering considering what she's done. Furthermore if she does give us any more information we can end her suffering there and now, even though we doubt she would, considering her loyalty towards her sister despite how badly Nepgear is treated by her sibling.

The pain the Candidate from Planeptune is in does get to her, and I sense from her body language that she wishes for it to end, but even with that she feels that she's unable to talk, and if anything she regrets having to give us the information that she did, without killing us. She must wish that she could die for her sister as opposed to being captured here.

Eventually the candidate dies and it's then that we inform our forces of what we've learned and what we plan to do, which is to set off such that we're close to where the Planeptune CPEwww is currently based, while gathering whatever intelligence we can, and from that work out what the goal of our nemesis is, and how we can stop her.

We feel optimistic about the gathering intelligence part as to whether the intel would be useful or not, which is a contrast to us on the whole not feeling it in the events we experienced before in this nightmare, and perhaps won't feel it later on, as we get into a jeep with Noire at the wheel, and Uni on the radio, no doubt to someone who can provide the knowledge we need with regards where Neptune is currently at.

As we get on, I find myself thinking about our best approach in defeating our nemesis as she has hostages, and any wrong move could result in her killing them. In which case I'll need to find a way of infiltrating the place and finding the hostages, so that hopefully they can be freed and protected while we liberate the place.

It is my belief that communication will be the key and ensuring that we can maintain ours while disrupting the enemies without them knowing. Ideally we could do with the exact layout of both the grounds and the place, but is there a way of obtaining them and even then would there be things to look out for that it wouldn't cover, and yet would be hard to spot like secret entrances or concealed hiding places? Then there is the issue of capturing this place in time, considering how long it will take for whatever that pathetic excuse of a CPEwwww is planning.

We'll need as many troops as possible to help us to defeat the enemy garrison in which we can only assume there's a lot, considering the size these sorts of places are and the fact that this is Neptune we're dealing with here. Furthermore, we'll need sniper rifles and assault rifles for outside, and sub machine guns and shotguns preferably semi-automatic if possible for inside, along with helicopters to deal with the enemies outside, if we're discovered while at the same time the hostages are secure.

Then there's also the matter of dealing with the other buildings besides the main big one since she is likely to retreat to them if things get too hot. As long as that purple haired witch still lives, even if we've stopped her plan there's nothing to stop her retreating, gathering resources and then plotting something again. It's bad enough this has happened in the world we originated from, this cannot be allowed to happen again here.

While at least I can rest in the car after all the fighting that's happened to get to this point, and can do so for a while before we will be fighting to take out Neptune, thinking of a plan is quite stressful, especially since right now I'm going by limited information. Information which will hopefully not be so limited for much longer, especially as I see Uni's facial expressions telling me that the intel is good and should help us into what Neptune is ultimately planning and how to stop her.

With assurances in my mind that we should get weapons, troops and relevant vehicles and other relevant equipment, along with plans and knowledge of a sufficient quantity, considering how it went with capturing Nepgear even if it's Neptune's nightmare, then again the fact that it's her nightmare could be an indication of a challenge or incompetence on her part or both, I can only do my best to rest while I still can just like Noire and Uni does their best to do the same.

While there is the concern of this being a challenge that overcomes us since this is somewhere new, big, unfamiliar and there's the issue of hostages which would force us to tread carefully and not alarm them, in which that can be tricky to deal with considering how they would set up their communications and forces, I can only not get too bothered by this. I can only recharge my batteries, my energy so that I will be able to fight and rescue the hostages, and rely on our abilities in fighting and defeating the enemy, since it's these abilities that has carried us all the way, even in times of doubt.

While there have been instances of enemy mistakes granting us victories, as opposed to our own abilities winning the day for us, we can only do our best to ensure that we don't have to rely on their errors, and be pleased that the blunders the enemy make were exploited by us, and perhaps we can use our initiative to exploit the new ones they make.

Note: Readers please listen to Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War Soundtrack – No Higher Duty while reading this:

"OK Noire and Black, this is what I've got. As we all know Neptune has attempted to take over this nation and become permanent ruler by a coup, and would have inflicted absolute horrors on our people causing untold misery, devastation and absolute destruction, and perhaps expanding elsewhere and only allowing tyranny, injustice and terror to reign throughout the world. Fortunately thanks to us, she has failed in this regard, but she has escaped and is currently residing in a country estate to the north.

This place is known as The Evelyn Residence, in honour of the original owner's wife whom he loved very much, having plenty of children and has been considered a war hero. This place is century's old, and is currently owned by Countess Veronica Alexia Spencer Ashford. A beautiful wealthy aristocratic woman from a prestigious family dating back centuries, who is very bright, having studied economics and medicine, and is very much an innovator and highly skilled business woman.

She has invented various new umbrellas with varying properties including umbrellas that double as torches, umbrellas that can cool or provide warmth to users, umbrellas that convert rain water into drink, along with large umbrellas that provide customisable videos and pictures for people to see. Along with this, she spends much of the money on research to cure blood related diseases, as well as in reproducing blood without the need of a person, so that there's no longer a reliance on blood donations. She's also been working on ethical experiments with volunteers concerning using harmless chemicals for medicinal purposes, to save resources and time.

Furthermore she's a philanthropist providing huge sums of money to good causes helping people out throughout the world, even going to different places to ensure her money helps. She even does a lot for the local community, helping the locals out if they have any problems, and has offered repeatedly for her estate to be used for weddings and honeymoons.

She has three daughters Belle, Alice and Demetria who are also beautiful, talented and caring like their mother and help out in their mum's business and charity causes.

The Evelyn Residence is one of the largest estates in the country with a size of about 2000 acres, and over 180 rooms including a few dozen bathrooms, many bedrooms, several dining rooms, sitting rooms, a few libraries, halls and billiard rooms, a lake, a massive maze, massive beautiful landscaped gardens including parterres, a garage and stables, swimming pools, Jacuzzis, along with a few fountains and statues. Not to mention there's a chapel, a forest, an ice house, a couple of large stately cottages, tennis and basketball courts, football and rugby pitches, rounder's, tennis, croquet lawns, and areas where there's bouncy castles, huge soft play areas that's multi layered and climbing frames, swings, slides and roundabouts for young guests. There are also a few panic rooms and secret passages to various buildings a fair distance from the main building itself.

The Residence is located near a village and has buildings that we can commandeer as a makeshift base; furthermore not too far from the village there is a military base where there are plenty of troops, good equipment and detailed plans of the Residence." Uni informs us calmly.

This place is certainly massive, I expected it to be big but not this big, this will make it more of a challenge unless we can locate the hostages and find a way using the plans of getting them out. That's the issue to all this the hostages as were it not for that, we could just go in with a large army and section by section capture this place, also insuring we have troops covering each exit so that Neptune will have nowhere left to run.

The thing is, she must soon know that Nepgear will likely have been compromised and as a result, suspect that we would be on to her. While she has hostages to protect her new base of operations, that can only last for so long, and inevitably we would find a way of rescuing them, no there has to be more to it than this.

She's got to be planning more than taking hostages. Sure with her failing to take parliament she would have to downsize but merely capturing a grand home of a major business woman who's a philanthropist and aristocrat? That would be a symbol of this nation's pride, but capturing would be temporary. No it's just a setback, probably a minor one, she has something nefarious going on, something that needs this place, these people and just a small amount of time to pull it off.

But what is it though? There's something about the name of this place The Evelyn Residence, that name reminds me of something but what? Then there are the names of the current owner Countess Veronica Alexia Spencer Ashford and her daughters, Belle, Alice and Demetria they remind me of something, and then there's the umbrella making, research involving blood and harmless chemicals.

Whatever it is, I'm sure it won't be long until we find out, and it is definitely something that needs to be stopped dead in its tracks. I can only hope that even with its immense size and whatever forces Neptune has there, we can still succeed in liberating this grand estate, not least without too much destruction considering the historical value of this place and the tourism and revenue it brings, as even if it's a nightmare, it's no doubt a beautiful palace and it would be a shame for that rotten witch to cause it's destruction.

For now, we can only head for the military base so we can assess the Intel we have of the place from our people on the ground, as well as the plans of the complex and what resources we have, so that we can plan accordingly.

"Thank you for the information Uni, we'll have to head for the military base for the plans and resources, and commandeer the buildings in the nearby village, and come up with a proper plan as I'll need more information. We'll need to rescue the hostages ASAP, but I'll need to know the best method of doing so. We'll also need to put a stop to her plans ASAP as well, and capture her and defeat her so that instead of having to constantly stop her here, we can wake up and carry on our fight back in Gameindustri.

We may not know what she's planning yet, and we can be certain it's more than capturing grand palaces and members of the aristocracy for ransom, but whatever it is, we have an important task ahead which is never-ending: preserving and protecting our way of live, and this time even if it's been so for a long time due to the circumstances, it's from a great evil. There is no higher duty, there is no higher honour, and while this is merely a nightmare, we can be certain that the people wherever they are can appreciate our struggles, and they along with the entire world will benefit. I'm certain we won't fail this." I say to my allies with passion.

"I couldn't have put it better myself, I was wondering if me and Uni could infiltrate the palace disguised as members of the aristocracy. Hopefully we can locate them and inform you of their whereabouts so that they can be rescued." Noire suggests with a smile, excited with the prospect of taking part in this endeavour.

"Sure, excellent idea, I'm glad you're happy to do it. While it is risky, there's no other way of finding out where they are, and we need to find out where they are and ensure that at the very least they won't be harmed, as we attempt our rescue effort which I'll lead, if we are to succeed in defeating Neptune here. Hopefully getting you and the hostages out won't be too tricky." I reply to her calmly and sounding optimistic.

"Oh yeah, I'm glad you think so, it's definitely a crucial part of our mission and it would be a privilege to play a part in it. I have to say those names Uni mentioned sound distinctive and familiar, along with the features of the estate and the deeds they have done. I can't help but wonder if it's to do with where we're from, be it from a place or a game or something. Maybe it's a combination of the two.

It's too bad there won't be any time to look around the place since it would be so grand, and it's nice to see historic buildings of immense wealth and brilliance. To see the size, the facilities, the features and its design, it'll be a marvel.

It's like the city we've just fought in, it's familiar and it would have been nice to see the sights and visit them properly, alas like now, there's no time to do that and instead we had to fight to prevent the enemy from doing more devastation to the place.

At least we'd get the opportunity despite the circumstances to meet these four lovely ladies, to perhaps learn of their good work, and to dress like an aristocratic royal, even if it's not cosplaying a video game character or someone made up, such as that with a lot more resources and time than what would likely be available. It's too bad I can't cosplay more often especially as the people really love it, and it's so much fun when I do it with people, and the money we make at the events goes to investing in new businesses that we know will make a huge difference to people's lives. It's too bad I can't do other things more that involve running Lastation for the benefit of its people, including spending time, having fun with the people, which I know they enjoy.

Maybe we can visit these places if we can find a way to get back to where we came from, as I can vaguely remember that there were a significant amount of these estates from the area we originated from. It's not likely we can get a good look at the palace after we deal with Neptune, as much as the owners would wish to show us their home after we rescue them." Miss Lastation replies to me trying to sound optimistic despite the frustration of not being able to devote as much of our time to providing more for our people, as well as to have more down time to recharge our batteries.

We nod in agreement to what she says as that is crucial if we are to maintain our ability to govern well, to be refreshed and not to be exhausted which can affect our judgement and perhaps how we are perceived by the public. If only we had more time for our people because then they can benefit, and be rewarded for sticking with us. If only we can see a light out of the warfare between Neptune in Gameindustri and not just this nightmare, even if there is the risk of there being more to this, than just stopping her here.

If only we knew where we came from, as our journey to this point is a part of us, and has helped to define us, and if only we can answer the questions we have concerning our past, who were our parents, what inspired us, why do we have these abilities and what did we accomplish, and why has our nemesis walked free repeatedly, and perhaps finding out where we are from could be the key to stopping the Planeptune CPEwww.

The thing is, as much as we wish we had more time to do other things that would benefit us and the people, this is still important as our very way of life, our lives are on the line, and if we are to do what we wish to do, then we need to carry on the struggle however long and however costly, and in this regard I do sense significant amounts of optimism, as while we need more information to help provide details of the layout of the palace, along with resources to pull of our plan which is currently a rough one off, getting these things shouldn't be a problem not from what we've already seen.

In the meantime, we need to relax as not only does that help to restore our energy levels such that we're fighting fit and better able to fight the next battle, but to enable us to think better, and perhaps other vital things that we haven't thought of will come to us. In fact as I rest, a thought comes to me concerning the issue of Neptune seeing through Noire and Uni's disguise since we know each other very well, but the thing is who else could be used since they're both excellent soldiers, and they also have the grace and aura of royalty, and hopefully we can obtain a convincing enough disguise, and the means for them to smuggle a radio to communicate to us, and if possible, a weapon, then there's the issue as to whether they would see our nemesis before being sent to a room.

We're also relying on them actually taking Noire and Uni to where the other hostages are, but I like to think she would as why wouldn't she, but hopefully if they get separated they can somehow find a way of finding them and tell us where they are, and we can find a way of rescuing them even if it means having to find an alternative way of infiltrating the palace, as if we go in all guns blazing, she will surely kill those hostages and we'll ultimately fail and not be able to get back to Gameindustri, in which maybe that would be for the best, since at that point it would fall to a never ending nightmare of hell, injustice, devastation and destruction.

Then there's still the issue on me providing a safe escape route for the hostages, as we'll need to get through the perimeter, get past guards and get to an entrance, and then find the hostages and rescue them. It all depends on the layout and whether my Lastation CPU and candidate gets taken to where the hostages are, and whether it's a room that's accessible by a secret entrance. It does make me wonder whether our nemesis would know about them since it's her nightmare, but then again we can only wait and see, considering that there's allies on our side in her nightmare, and whether it's because she's using this program and hasn't created it, or if it's a challenge or is it due to incompetence is hard to say.

Upon realising that there's nothing I can do about these concerns and that perhaps I'm not relaxing as much as I need to be right now which seems to be a common theme in this chapter, I suggest to Noire and Uni to have the radio on, as along with providing us with nice music, perhaps what Neptune has done will be reported on the news, since kidnapping hostages of this fame and significance would surely reach the media.

The thing is would anyone else know about this, considering she would have to announce it publically, and that what is the likelihood of someone else reporting this at this stage, as this would require regular contact with the palace in which I can't be sure if that would actually happen, or even the chances of someone working out that there's something wrong there with regards the wellbeing of the owners.

Yet again it's wishful thinking that we're relying on since we wish to know exactly what she is planning in there, and we're having to rely on our knowledge of her character, in that her plan requires provision from the outside world of what she needs, and that she's arrogant, overly confident and stupid enough to announce her plans, knowing full well that we'll try to stop her and that we've managed before, and that is it a good idea for her to go against us, considering the record and that was with her being more ready than she would be right now.

Then again how unready is she? Since this all depends on how long it takes for her plan to work, and while we have been after Plutia and then Nepgear, she, Compa and Anonydeath would have already made their getaway here and made use of the time their fallen allies have bought for us.

I wonder if this is meant to be our hardest challenge yet, to rescue the hostages, in a massive complex with a massive army, and to do so in a short time period in which we can't know for sure how short, and with the knowledge that some of that time has already been gone to get to this point, as well as in coming up with a plan to conquer this challenge. Annoyingly many of the elements does rely on luck with regards where they'll be, where Noire will be, where the entrance will be, and the patterns of the guards as that can make the difference in terms of whether we can succeed or fail.

Despite these concerns I have constantly and ceaselessly running through my mind, like I keep telling myself repeatedly, I need to relax as best as I can, at least the music for now is soothing even if I've not heard it before. I notice from the clock that there should be a regular news announcement on the radio after this song, and we'll see if there's anything concerning Neptune's new plan in, particular along with what I would expect to be regarding that CPU failing in parliament, and losing her allies Plutia and Nepgear.

As if on cue the news reporter announces tonight's headlines.

"Welcome to Britannian News this is Newman. Today the Evelyn Residence has been captured by Neptune Purple Heart after her failed attempt to control the parliament, and has made a public broadcast earlier today.

"Hello All, I am Lady Neptune Purple Heart of Planeptune, but you can call me the True Goddess, the legitimate ruler of the Britannian nation, and I should have been meeting with the cabinet today so that my policies can be put in to action were it not for the dastardly villains Noire, Black and Uni who along with interrupting the session, have also had the gall to murder my sisters and my bestest friend in cold blood after chasing them relentlessly.

That's fair enough, I'll get them soon, and this inconvenience will not last very long, and I can be ruler of you Britannians just as promised since I have been elected by an overwhelming majority, because I'm the most popular goddess and the strongest goddess as well as the funniest.

As a result of their boo boo antics, I've had to retreat with my best buddies and commander this super-duper large house called the Evil Residence, and I've happened to come across four super rich royals who are more than happy to take part in my super-duper top secret project, which will ensure that I can be ruler of you Britannians and put the plans I announced there into action as promised.

The thing is these 4 will not be enough; in fact I will need way, way, way more than those 4. In fact I will need every Britannian aristocrat and their families to come to Evil Residence, so that my project to help ensure my rule will be a success, and they need to come here ASAP, every one of them needs to be here by the day after tomorrow.

If they don't, well, with a monster that we've just discovered in the land of the Britannians who wishes to devour the blood of all these royal people, and murder them in a horrible way and can travel vast distances and is invisible, I won't be able to protect them. So if they can come here and help me rule this land, I can along with enact my policies, offer protection against bad villains and bosses, and everything will be awesomesauce with the main character in charge, you'll love that won't you? You'll be bursting with excitement at the prospect.

OK true goddess and legitimate ruler of this nation out." The purple haired witch announced in her distinctive fake annoying tone.

I can't help but wonder how many Britannians have bought into her pathetic ruse of a monster that can kill aristocrats? Does she know what sort of world this is meant to be? Then again it's her nightmare but even with that, if she was to put a monster in this land it would probably be allied with Neptune, and she'd put propaganda videos of her defeating monsters to try and provide legitimacy to her illegitimate reign of terror. The radio is carrying on with its news, only really saying that contact has been lost with this place, and the authorities are looking into claims of a monster that is capable of killing the aristocracy with impunity, before moving on to other things happening in the country, albeit things nothing to do with our nemesis.

I guess the newsreader says this to lure Neptune into a false sense of security and that the authorities are really gathering up forces, and waiting for us to discuss a plan of rescuing them. What the purple haired witch said was all too predictable, to try and be nice and offer thinly veiled threats to us in an attempt to force us to comply with her ransom demands. I know that what she plans is bad and must be stopped but why does she want the Britannian Aristocracy in Evelyn Residence, and why call that place….?

Of course. I now realise what she's up to and what she wants from them, and she has to be stopped ASAP not just for the sake of the hostages who would be forced to experience unimaginable horror, but for the sake of the nation and no doubt the world. I should have known she'd pull off something this dastardly; in fact this is what she attempted to do at the very start, only now she's merely changing the order of steps in her plan.

With what her intentions are even with just those 4 members of the aristocracy, we have so little time as I feared, and no doubt this is her plan, she knows we'll be coming for her, she knows that defeating her will allow us to escape, and so she wishes to taunt us by stacking the deck by having hostages, a large base, limited time and a worse fate than the loss of great people, symbols of what makes this great nation great.

I sense concern on Noire and Uni's faces which is understandable as I feel really concerned, as even with the fact that we've been successful before, how can we stop her this time? It's a seemingly final challenge alright, and as you can predict we can only rely on all of what we have, and being able to put it to the best possible use.

It's a pity that we can't get to the base any quicker considering the urgency, as already the car is travelling at top speed. I can't help but notice how no police have been alerted to us speeding, in fact there hasn't been a single car that's driven past, then again it could be that this is a nightmare, or that no one has noticed us driving at night in country lanes, or it could be that our allies have informed the police not to pursue us, since we are dealing with an emergency concerning the fate of this nation, if not this world.

Perhaps it's just as well since a police chase right now is the last thing we need, then again maybe evading vehicles of our nemesis would be preferable to this, but on the other hand I soon realise that at least here we'll be dealing with Neptune personally soon enough, and we can hopefully give her a satisfying thrashing here and ultimately leave this nightmare.

The thing is, between our current desires and us, is the tragic tricky situation that lies before us, and if we are to resolve it in the correct way, we will need to gather all the info and resources we can, and as quickly and as accurately as possible, come up with the best laid plan possible, and put it into action relying on hope and luck, that the insane plan of this purple haired witch can be stopped, before it has started. We can only relax as best as we can and keep calm, and try and prepare ourselves as we will be at the military base soon, and begin phase 1 of our operation in eliminating Neptune.
