In the morning at a high school, a classroom had a historical presentation they brought. A local teenager named Sam Witwicky was called up to present the historical object in front of his class even though most of his classmates were immature and childish. "Hello, my name is Samuel Witwicky and for my historical presentation report I brought my great-great grandfather, who was named Captain Archibald Witwicky, glasses," he told them while showing his grandfather's glasses to the class. "He was one of the first to explore the Arctic Circle, which is a big deal. In 1897, he took forty-one brave sailors straight into the Arctic Shelf.
"Unfortunately, during his journey in the Arctic, my great-great-grandfather, the genius that he was, wound up going blind and crazy in a psych ward, drawing these strange symbols and babbling on about some, uh, giant ice man that he thought he'd discovered."
When the school bell rings, everyone heads out of the school until Sam's teacher calls him over to discuss his presentation. "Well, Sam… you did good on your project today and I noticed that you weren't trying to sell your grandfather's glasses," his teacher told him.
"Huh? What makes you say that?"
"I remembered seeing the glasses on eBay for sale."
"Oh cool! So… are you interested in buying it, teach?"
"Nice try. But you scored an A on your work. Well done."
"Awesome! Thank you! Thank you! You have no idea how happy you made me! Thank you so much!" The teenager heads out of the campus and jumps onto his bike to head home. While he was biking to his house, Bumblebee emerged from the streets in his vehicle mode to follow Sam without being spotted.
When Sam arrived at his house and headed inside, Bumblebee parked at the corner while pulling out a listening device to hear any conversation. Sam rushes to his father to tell him the big news while his parents are tending their garden. His parents were annoyed when their son ran across their garden but he apologized as he followed his dad inside. "Dad! Dad, guess what? I got an A on my presentation today! See! See," he showed his score to his father. "Does that mean I'll get a car?!"
"Uh I did say that you'll get a car if you get an A," his dad responded.
"What?! Bu-But I got an A! Isn't that enough? Heck, I even presented our family name to my class today. It's that awesome that I got an A based on that! Come on, dad!"
Outside of the house, Bumblebee drove up when he spotted both Sam and his dad as he brought up a listening device to hear their conversation. "I know I know I promised you a car," the dad told his son. "I'll get you a car but not one of those dumb company cars crap. I don't like those salesmen."
"Great. Now I'll never get a car."
"Calm down. Calm down. I know a place where we can get you a car. Tomorrow I'll take you to Bolivia's Finest Quality Used Cars and you'll get your first car first thing in the morning."
"Yes! Awesome dad! Thank you! Thank you so much! You won't regret this! I promise!" Bumblebee drove off before they could see him as he picked up a radio frequency for the dealership advertisement.
Meanwhile, at the Pentagon in Washington DC, multiple military officers and skilled computer technicians gathered in the briefing room as they all wondered why they were gathered there. The U.S. Secretary of Defense, John Keller, entered the room as everyone stood from his presence. "Please be seated," he told everyone. "I'm John Keller. Obviously, you're wondering why you're here, so, these are the facts. At 1900 local time yesterday, the SOCCENT Forward Operations Base in Qatar was attacked. So far as we know, there were no survivors. The objective of the attack was to hack our military network. We're not sure exactly what they're after, but we do know that they were cut off during the assault, which would lead us to assume that they're going to try it again. Now, no one's taken responsibility for the attack. And the only real lead we have, so far, is this sound."
They played a recorded sound that sounded unearthly and alienated. "That's the signal that hacked our network. NSA's working at full capacity to analyze it and intercept further communications but we need your help to find out who did this. Now, you've all shown considerable ability in the area of signals analysis. We're on a hair-trigger here, people. The President has dispatched battle groups to the Persian Gulf and the Yellow Sea. This is as real as it's ever gonna get. Now I'm gonna leave you to your officer-in-charge. You'll break up into teams and you'll start your work. Good luck. To us all."
At night, in the Witwicky's house, Bumblebee drove by and stopped as he scanned around for anyone nearby before he transformed into his robot mode. The Autobot slowly and carefully approached Sam's window to find him asleep. He stared at the teen as if it was his mission to defend and protect the human with his life to protect other worlds like his.
The Autobot slowly backed away and prepared to leave until a car's headlight flashed in front of him. Bumblebee was shocked that he let himself get caught so easily but there was something wrong as he looked closely and realized there was no one in the vehicle. Before the yellow bot could act, the police cruiser fired blasts at him as the bot slammed hard on the ground, waking everyone in the neighborhood. The Cybertronian immediately transforms into his Camaro mode and drives away as the Barricade chases after him while turning on his siren. Sam woke up from the loud blast and so did most of the neighborhood. His parents rushed into his bedroom to check if he was safe.
Meanwhile, Bumblebee drives as fast as he can while he's being chased by the Decepticon. Barricade summoned a hologram of the police officer he murdered and used the radio to contact other officers, "This is Officer Thompson! We got an unidentified person trying to break into a suburban house! The suspect is driving a yellow 1976 Camaro! I repeat the suspect is driving a 1976 Camaro! I'm in pursuit!"
Then, more police cruisers joined in the chase while Bumblebee tried his best to lose them. The Autobot entered the highway and drove to every opening to get out of the police radar. When he found an opportunity, the yellow boy transformed into robot mode and quickly jumped out off the highway. The police reported that they had lost him but Barricade exited the road and continued the pursuit.
Bumblebee entered the construction site as he got under a sheet and then transformed into his vehicle mode. Thirty seconds later, Barricade drove into the site and searched around for the Autobot while the yellow bot stayed hidden. Moments later, the Decepticon gives up and drives away. Finally, Bumblebee emerges from his hiding spot and looks around if the enemy is still there. After the coast is clear, the Cybertronian transforms into his vehicle mode and heads to the dealership to proceed with his mission.
In Qatar, Lennox and his team wandered through the desert after the destruction of their base as they were getting close to a nearby civilization while they were exhausted from the heat. "Alright, boys," Lennox shouted. "We're getting close to Mahfouz's home. Hopefully, they'll have a phone or any communication device so we can contact command."
"I've never seen a weapons system like this," Epps told his team. "The thermal shows this weird aura around the exoskeleton like it's cloaked by some kind of invisible force field. When I took that picture, I thought it saw me. It looked right at me."
"This is so freaky, amigo," Figueroa told them. "We never fought enemies like those demons."
"We lost so many good friends back there," Donnelly said. "It's not fair, man. They didn't deserve to go out that way."
"Especially Anderson," Lennox told them. "She saved our lives in our missions… and now… she's gone… We need to contact the Pentagon about what's-"
Suddenly, something drills within the sand went past the group of soldiers as they drew their weapons. Lennox looked around his surroundings until a deadly stinger emerged behind him and was about to impale him but Epps and the others quickly spotted the monster and opened fire. When the troops searched around for the unknown creature, Donnelly examined the sand to figure out where it could be. "We need to move now," he yelled. "This thing can be any-" Then, Scorponok emerged from the sand as it impaled Donnelly through his chest and dragged him into the sand, causing the soldiers to flee to the village.
The villagers panicked when the Cybertronian scorpion began attacking their village as some of them armed themselves and aided the soldiers in fighting Decepticon. Scorponok fired blasts and missiles at the humans while the bullets did not affect it. Lennox and Mahfouz rushed to the child's family as they gave him a cell phone to contact the Pentagon for help.
"This is an emergency Pentagon," Lennox tells the operator through the phone. "Do you understand?! This is an emergency-" Scorponok fired missiles at the soldiers and the villagers while they kept firing at the beast. "NO I DON'T HAVE A CREDIT CARD!!"
"Sir, the attitude is not going to speed things up any bit at all," an Indian accent operator told him while he was bored. "I'm going to ask you to speak into the mouthpiece very clearly."
"I'm in the middle of a war! This is ridiculous!" Lennox rushed behind his friend Epps while he and the others kept gunning at the Cybertronian scorpion. "Epps! I need a credit card! Where's your wallet?!"
"POCKET," Epps yelled while firing the Decepticon.
"WHICH POCKET?!!"
"MY BACK POCKET!!"
"YOU GOT LIKE TEN POCKETS!!"
"LEFT CHEEK!! LEFT CHEEK!! LEFT CHEEK!!"
Lennox managed to find his second-in-command's wallet and told the operator, "Okay! My credit card is Visa!"
"Also, sir, have you heard about our premium plus world service gold package," the operator told him as he was still bored.
"NO I DON'T WANT A PREMIUM PACKAGE!!!" Scorponok moved in closer while firing the humans. "EPPS!! PENTAGON!!" Lennox tossed the phone to his best friend.
In the surveillance room, the secretary of defense enters the room after they receive a distress call in Qatar. "Give me status," Keller orders the officers.
"Sir, we're tracking a Special Ops team under fire in Qatar. They say they're survivors of the base attack," one of the officers reported.
"Survivors?"
"Putting the call on speaker."
"I ain't never seen this in my life," Epps shouted through the call. "Need airstrikes ASAP!"
"Predator's coming up in a minute. We're linking the call to the nearest AWACs."
"Man! I don't- oh, man, if you see this shit!"
A predator drone flew into the battlefield and recorded the scene as it revealed Scorponok in the surveillance station, causing complete shock to everyone. "Good God… What is that," Keller was horrified by the creature.
Scorponok continued blasting and firing missiles at the structures in the village, causing the soldiers to become vulnerable. "We need air support and we need it now," one of the officers ordered from nearby air force bases. "Roll in strike package Bravo on an unknown target. I authenticate Tango Whiskey at time zero-three-hundred Zulu."
The Air Force sent out two A-10 Warthogs and one Lockheed AC-130 to the battlefield. "Seven-man team north of orange smoke," Epps radioed while he tossed a gas grenade at the Decepticon. "Attack direction west! You're clear and hot!" The two strike jets arrive at the fight. "Lennox! The heat's coming!"
"Laze the target," Lennox ordered his men. "We got a beam-rider incoming! Laze target!" Mostly all the soldiers pointed their laser attachment at the Decepticon so the jets could mark it. "Ready! Heat's coming!"
"WHAT!! BRING IT," Epps shouted.
Sadly, Figueroa couldn't hear his leader while he was firing at Scorponok, causing the beast to blast him. The two warthogs arrived in time as the jets began firing miniguns and missiles at the Decepticon in one strike. The attack only knocked the beast to its side as it was panicking. "No freaking way that thing's still not down," Lennox said in disbelief.
"Spooky Three Two, use 105 shells," Epps radioed the AC-130 aircraft. "Bring the rain!"
The Lockheed AC-130 enters the battlefield and it begins firing powerful shells at the Decepticon. After the attack was completed, Scorponok was badly damaged as it retreated into the sands while its stinger was ripped apart and left behind. The soldiers cheered at their victory against the beast.
Suddenly, Lennox noticed one of his friends was missing. The soldiers rushed over to find Figueroa badly wounded from the fight and cried out in pain as Epps called in a medical chopper to their location for evac. The squad leader stayed by his teammates' side as the wounded soldier apologized for his actions. Moments later, the helicopter arrived to pick up the team and return to a nearby base.
"Bring them home," Keller ordered the officers. "You get those men stateside right now. I want them debriefed in ten hours."
Back in America, Sam and his father arrived at the dealership as they drove up to a parking lot. When the two stepped out, the father explained to his son, "I hope this is okay, Sam. I can't get you one of those fancy new cars because of how expensive they are."
"It's all good, Dad," Sam told him. "As long as I'm getting a new car, it's all good. I'm so excited! I'm finally getting a car."
Then, the owner of the dealership welcomed the two with open arms, "Greetings, gentlemen! Bobby Bolivia, like the country, except without the runs, at your service! How can I help ya?"
"Well, my son is here looking to buy his first car," the father told him.
"Can you come to see me? I'm honored! That practically makes us family! Uncle Bobby B, baby! Uncle Bobby B!"
"My name's Sam," the teen introduced himself.
"Sam, let me talk to you. Sam, your first enchilada of freedom awaits underneath one of those hoods. Let me tell you something, son. A driver doesn't pick the car. The car will pick the driver. It's a mystical bond between man and machine. Son, I'm a lot of things, but a liar's not one of them."
Sam looks through the used cars and doesn't like any of them until he spotted a yellow Camaro, which excites him very much. "What about this car," the teenager told his dad. "The Camaro! This is definitely calling to me! Please, dad!"
"Ah, I see this car definitely suits you… Wait a second, where did this come from?" The salesman called his mechanic about the Camaro. "Ha Manny! What is this?! This car! Check it out!"
"I don't know, boss," the mechanic told him. "I've never seen it before! That's loco!"
"Don't go Ricky Ricardo on me, Manny! Find out!"
"So how much," Sam's dad asked him.
"Well, considering the semi-classic nature of the vehicle, with the slick wheels and the custom paint job… Five grand?"
"Nope. Sorry. No deal."
"Tell ya what. Today is your lucky day. If you and your son tell others how great my cars are, four grand."
"Deal! It's all yours, Sam!"
"Yes," Sam shouted with joy.
However, in the forest, Barricade drove within the wilderness as he transformed into his robot mode. He stared at the dealership from afar and he spotted Bumblebee in his vehicle mode as the Autobot was being purchased. "I found you," the Decepticon said to himself.
