A.N. — Today's birthday hero seems to be a polarizing figure in the fandom. He's either Dadzawa, the most caring homeroom teacher around, or Asshole Aizawa, the callous underground hero too tired to care. For his drabble, I chose to examine what might cause the latter option. Happy birthday, Eraserhead.
312. Shota Aizawa/Eraserhead
Shota put a premium on human life. He'd become an underground pro to save those passed over by daylight heroes. He took up teaching so his past tragedy would never be repeated. Doing both, day after day, left him chronically exhausted, irritable and spread too thin. Shota doubted himself sometimes, wondering if he was actually failing in his overarching objective due to his dedication to doing as much as possible to protect the innocent.
His standards were tough to live up to. Imposing them on his students seemed cruel in their eyes, but he'd rather have them disillusioned than dead.
