The festival was still going after a few days. It was very laid back as I watched from the windows of our house.
After a few days, I did decide to leave the house. It was around the late afternoon when I walked out and nearly ran into a large wagon that passed by. When I noticed Shock moving it, I felt a bit at ease but was confused.
Shaymin: Uh… Wh- what's this?
Shock: Err, I would say about 500 pounds of fireworks.
Shaymin: Whoa, um… What's with all of those?
Shock: Every year we have a large firework display to celebrate this event. I will say that this is the biggest load we gotten so far… We even have new specially made fireworks from Zuzi. These are called Showtime Dazzle. Appears to be just a massive bottle rocket. I'll just leave it to an expert since I don't want to explode.
Shaymin: Uh, you said Zuzi…?
Shock: Oh, right… Zuzi is a, if I must say, busty Furret. Don't tell her, but I actually have a crush on her… But, ahem, she makes fireworks. She has a fireworks shop in the plaza that is kinda hidden in an alley. Certainly… An explosive attitude.
Shaymin: H- huh, well then.
Shock: Yep. Anyways, I need to head to get these set up. We'll talk later.
Shock then pushed the massive collection of fireworks down the road. I watched for a moment before deciding to follow him for a bit. Shock brought the fireworks to the plaza's center and stashed them away near the stage. This is when I broke from his route and walked towards the bar.
Before I reached the bar, I was stopped by a somewhat young Growlithe. This confused me since he looked around 14 or 13. However, I did notice a bag in his paw that he gave me.
"Y- you're the newest member…? I can't find anyone else… Can you deliver this to Rui?" He asked.
Shaymin: Uh… S- sure…
Looking away slightly, he smiled and pointed in a direction.
"Rui is at Skola Town. It's… Uh… North…? Only been there once, but I want to deliver this to him… He's my closest friend who sadly couldn't come this year for the festival…" He told me.
This was very sudden, especially for someone so young, but I didn't want to turn him down since he did seem pretty sad about this. I started thinking and actually did know Skola Town. It was a town I used to visit when Mew dragged me there. If I remembered correctly, it was a small town near the ocean just like Hexa, but it was more of a normal town full of businesses, homes and everything.
Shaymin: O- okay… Um. I'll deliver this for you. Do you know more about where he lives?
"I've been there a few times… But been a while… I think it's a blue and white house near a school." He said.
Nodding, I took the bag and put it in my backpack. He smiled at me and somewhat skipped away.
Shaymin: What an odd encounter… But, uh… I have nothing better to do, so I guess I'll do it…
This confused me, but I did accept it, so I guess I would be heading to Skola for now. With this, I set out.
2 Years, 12 Days
9:30 AM
Skola Town
Mew: Oh, this is it! Skola Town! We finally made it. Whew…
Shaymin: Why are you acting tired? You just laid on my head the entire journey.
Mew: And it was very fluffy…
She completely ignored me and took a hold of my ears, wrapping them around her body.
Mew: It took like two days, but I'm glad we're here.
Shaymin: Why did you want to come here anyway?
She unwrapped my ears from her body and landed on the ground. She stretched and ran forward.
Mew: Come on!
The glint of gold sparkled from her tail, being the gold bracelet I gave her. I just happened to notice it as she somewhat danced around. She soon noticed me staring as she hugged her tail.
Mew: Heh… Giving my bracelet a look, eh? Don't worry, I still love it.
Shaymin: O- oh, that's good.
Mew nodded and smiled before running up to me and taking my paw.
Mew: Well, lets go! Lets be fast!
She then started dragging me down the road. She kept pulling me for five or so minutes before reaching a building. We just stood in front of it and I looked at it. It appeared to be some kind of spa area.
Shaymin: Uh… A spa?
Mew: Well, since you gave me this bracelet, I kinda wanted to repay you. I know, a spa might feel weird for guys, but don't worry…! I've seen you working almost nonstop and it must be tough. Farming and building is hard work, right? So I wanted to give a chance to relax.
Shaymin: Um… I guess I won't mind. It does sound kinda nice…
Mew nodded and smiled before dragging me into the building and for most of the morning, we relaxed.
Current Day
Noon
Skola's Housing District
After a bit, I arrived at Skola and walked around. I got through the large amount of businesses and reached the residential area. I tried looking for the house and luckily I did find it after a few minutes of searching.
Shaymin: White and blue house… It is near a high school… Must be it.
I walked up the yard and upon reaching the door, I simply knocked and waited. The door opened shortly and I was greeted by a Glaceon. Of course he freaked upon seeing me, but after he calmed, I managed to give him the bag. He took it happily before giving me something in return. Another bag. He told me if I could deliver it to the Growlithe. I agreed like before as he said his farewell, pretty happy and still stunned seeing me. When he managed to close the door and stop looking, I turned back and began walking away.
I reached Hexa around 1:30 PM and I searched for the Growlithe which I found down at the beach. I walked up and gave him the bag as he seemed very excited.
"That was fast…! Thanks a lot. Here, this is for you." He said and took something from his pocket.
Reaching out, it appeared to be a small token.
"This is called a Gemo Token. I… Don't think you heard of it. It's a fun little collectible. This is a pretty rare token, but you helped when everyone else is so busy… Maybe you can collect all 100?" He said and gave it to me.
Shaymin: Gemo… Token…? S- sure, I'll take it. Sounds kinda fun trying to collect them.
The Growlithe smiled and nodded before running back to his group. I looked at the token. It had a somewhat shiny design with an emerald icon on it.
Shaymin: Huh… Pretty cool.
Turning back, I walked back to the town. Walking back to the town kinda changed and I took a detour into the mountains nearby. I just wanted to enjoy some peace and quiet before the massive fireworks show.
The mountains felt just like home oddly. The nice chilly air and the quiet that follows. It felt so nice. I kept walking up and reached the shrine once more. I looked at the offering table.
Shaymin: Guess he took everything…
When I finished speaking, I was hit but a very icy breeze that made me shiver. That's when I heard Sky's voice.
Sky: So you came back…
I swiftly turned around to see him standing there with wings stretched far as he crossed his arms.
Shaymin: Sorry… I just wanted to walk for a bit.
Sky: Eh, that's fine.
Sky walked around. He then stopped and groaned, placing a paw on his head and shook it. I tilted my head as he looked at me.
Sky: Oh, don't worry about me… Maybe you should go back.
I nodded and walked down the path. Sky ended up stopping me though.
Sky: Actually.
Turning back, I looked at me.
Sky: Since you are a Mythical, I suppose I can tell you. Here, sit.
Walking up, I sat down as he pulled out an amulet. It appeared to be a Dark Type style amulet with an Absol in many different poses.
Sky: Know what this is?
Shaking my head, he continued.
Sky: It's a charm for Absol's. My parents gave me it when I was very young… My family came from a far away region. A place full of darkness and cloudy weather… It may sound weird, but it was completely owned by Absol's. Just an island with only Absol's. But…
Sky looked down and sighed.
Sky: A- anyways… This charm is the only thing I have left of my parents. I don't know where they are… On a certain day… Something bad happened… I'll just say that I floated in a boat for nearly a week with very little food before reaching this region… I was one of a few that entered this region. I'm… The only one left.
This confused me, but I didn't ask. He just continued.
Sky: Sorry, it is still tough for me…
He took a hold of the amulet and closed his eyes. He then looked at me and he appeared kinda sad.
Sky: Just, uh… Sorry. It's just been bothering me lately… I'm hoping… To return to my homeland one day…
Shaymin: Um… What happened?
Sky: Just… Forget it… Something horrible…
Nodding softly, he kept the amulet close.
Sky: The markings on the amulet tells a tale… It's known to all Absol's…
He got up and sighed before walking to the edge of the mountain.
Sky: Anyways… You should get back to the town…
I agreed and stood up as Sky jumped from the edge and flew off. I did not expect Sky to tell me a bit about him despite just meeting him. It did sound weird. Sky did feel sad there. Something major might have happened in his homeland. I didn't really want to think about it that hard, so I just headed back to Hexa and waited for a bit until the sun lowered and once the moon was high in the sky, I was simply sitting at the beach. My team was sitting with me and just chatting among each other and after a bit, we heard it. A loud bang and a flash of colors. Turning back, we noticed many fireworks launching up and filling the sky full of colors.
The colorful shapes and all were nice to look at as I smiled softly. Some of those massive fireworks went off too, causing the entire sky to light up in different colors that could most likely be seen for miles. I kept watching the sky lighting in multiple colors and shapes.
Scorch lit some sparklers and threw them up while planting some in the sand. The beach lit up with sparks. Scorch waved around some more without a care in the world.
We kept watching more fireworks for a good amount of time. When I looked to the side for a moment, I noticed a faint light from another sparkler on top of a tree. When looking closer, I noticed it was Sky sitting on a branch, holding one of the fireworks. He was watching the show. After watching for a moment, I saw him take out a rocket of some kind and lit it. He then launched into the air, flying high up then releasing the firework as it flew above the town. After a moment, it erupted into a rainbow of colors in a shape of a symbol of some kind.
We watched in amazement as it branched into multiple different shapes for about a minute. After it faded, the default firework show continued, having been consumed by Sky's special rocket. I watched Sky fly into the distance and no one ever saw him...
