The next few days were pretty boring. It was nothing but trees and fields. Nira had lead us into the middle of nowhere and he tried denying it. That's until we reached a large chain fence and noticed the other side was some kind of airport. This is when Nira finally accepted it and sighed.

Nira: T- this isn't even on the map. Sorry… I really thought my navigation skills held up after all this time…

Scorch: Eh, don't feel bad. I enjoyed the walk for the most part.

Cloud: Did not enjoy walking through that swamp region though…

Scorch: Uh… Other than that. But eh, it was pretty fun. But um… How are we gonna get home? Or back on track?

Nira looked at the map and tried figuring out the point we ventured into undiscovered area. He spent a good few minutes attempting but just sighed and gave up.

Nira: Okay… I have no idea where we are. I've been to many places in the past, but… This? I have no idea. This… Might be bad.

Scorch: We should just call Autumn. Not, uh, for another rescue. Just maybe some directions?

Scorch pulled his phone out but quickly discovered something that confused him.

Scorch: Uh… Scratch that. For some reason I'm getting no service here.

Shock: Oh well… I'm sure we can just find a computer cafe or something. Look up a map or something of the area.

Scorch shrugged and agreed with this.

Nira: Not what I had planned for us. Hopefully we can find a way back.

We all started to walk alongside this fence before we reached an opening with a road. It seemed quite empty. No houses or other buildings. Due to this, we just picked a random stretch of road and started to walk down it. The walk that followed was somewhat painful. The sun was beaming down and it was so hot despite it being the autumn months. It was actually unusually hot. So hot in fact that I swear I see slight steam coming off the pavement. Nira somewhat stood quiet through this walk. He was checking the map still in hopes that he'll spot where we left the border. It was somewhat useless though. The map had many roads and he wasn't sure which one we could've went on. We didn't even walk on any roads in the few days we've been out here. It was all trees and grass. So my best guess is that we're completely lost.

I started to lose hope in finding anything after walking for an hour straight in the scorching sun. That's when I started hearing an engine though. All of us did. With the silent being broken from this source, we all turned back to notice quite a large truck driving down the road. The trailer it was attached too had quite a lot of cargo. Must've just been delivering such goods to someplace, meaning it could be a way to get to a town or city.

Scorch: Huh… Hadn't seen a vehicle in all this time. I know it's risky, but… We should catch a ride.

Cloud: I'm sure we're safe… It's a one against five… I doubt they'll get far if they are a perv.

Scorch: True.

Scorch then jumped to the side of the road and started waving. Surprisingly, the semi slowed and made a complete stop. The window lowered to reveal an orange and red Floatzel. Scorch took no time running up and speaking to him. We waited for a minute before Scorch walked up and motioned us to it.

Scorch: He agreed to take us to the town he's delivering to.

Shock: Nice. Lets get going.

We proceeded to walk up to this truck and we somewhat crammed into the back. We were then off down the road.

Ruby Sands Beach

Shaymin: A full moon…

Mew: Yeah, it's beautiful with all the stars.

Mew wrapped her tail around herself while writing in a notepad.

Mew: I've always loved nights like these. It's even better with someone.

Shaymin: Oh…? Like who?

Mew gave a soft giggle and unwrapped her tail. She slapped me gently with it and huffed.

Mew: Like you, dummy. Everywhere is better with you.

Smiling softly, I walked next to her and sat down. She stroked my back with her tail and hummed for a bit before looking at the ocean.

Mew: Hey, um…

Looking at her, she stood quiet for a second before looking at me. She rested on her on me and sighed.

Mew: So, um… I visited Latios and Latias a few days ago.

Shaymin: Those two? I hadn't seen them in such a long time…

Mew: Yeah, err, they moved to a very isolated area for… A project. I think Arceus gave them the task or something, I don't know… But anyway.

Mew rubbed her head against me and continued.

Mew: They need my help with something. I hope you don't mind me being away for a tiny bit. It's nothing too serious. Should only be like a week.

Shaymin: Oh? Need help with their secret project? Well, that's fine with me.

She nodded and stared out to the ocean.

Mew: That's good. I enjoy spending my time with you since you aren't serious like the others. Just a fun outgoing Shaymin, you are, hmm?

Shaymin: H- heh… You can say that.

Mew: Hehe. Well, I've got a place we can go when I'm back, sounds good?

I nodded as she stood up and smiled.

Mew: Good. Now… How about we finish up here? Don't wanna get home extremely late.

Agreeing, I stood up as she started to walk down the beach. I followed as she took me back to her place.

Unknown Town

The truck turned off the main road and into a small town. It parked next to a gas station as he said this was his stop. We got out as Scorch thanked him before closing the car door. We then looked around and the town didn't look too off. There were others around and most places looked clean.

Shock: Well, at least it isn't some creepy ghost town. Actually looks well maintained.

Cloud: Hmh…

Nira: Um… Anyway, we should look around. I didn't really see a sign while heading into town. So um, no idea what this town is called.

Shock: Guess that's a good idea…

Cloud: Or we can just ask the one working at the gas station…?

Cloud walked towards the gas station and walked in.

Nira: Uh, still kinda sorry. But hey… It's still an exploration, right?

Scorch: Of course. I've never seen this town, so it's kinda nice seeing new places and meeting new Pokemon.

Nira: Yeah. I'm still sorta exhausted though. It's just been a long walk.

Shock: Eh, I think we can find somewhere to rest. I don't know…

We continued speaking for a minute before Cloud walked up to us. She just scoffed.

Cloud: Hmm… Well, it appears we are inside a town called Quantum something… I honestly don't care since he went on and on with shit I really didn't listened to.

Shock: Well then.

Nira: Huh. Nowhere on the map. No idea how far we went…

While they were talking about what to do and all, I've started to notice a strange Pokemon standing off in the distance. I've kept my eyes on this figure for a good five or ten minutes while the others spoke. It made me a bit nervous since this Pokemon just stood there nearly motionless. I couldn't tell who it was. They were just dressed in black with a long trench coat with some kind of mask. All I could see is their eyes. I thought they were just waiting for someone so I just focused on the others.

Nira: Ugh… Okay… Lets just find somewhere, okay?

Cloud: Hmh, sure. You do that… I'm going to walk around.

Cloud left as Nira looked at us.

Nira: She loves ditching you all, huh?

Scorch: Uh. Yeah. Could say that.

Nira: Well, I guess let her be. Now, lets see…

Nira started to pace around but that's when he stopped due to some drops of water that landed on his head. Placing his paw on his head, he felt it and sighed.

Nira: First a heatwave, now rain? Crap… This seems like a residential area, so I doubt there is anywhere to stay… Um…

It quickly started to rain a few seconds later and we rushed under a roof that branched from the gas station. Scorch shook his head and crossed his arms.

Scorch: Well damn. What's the plan now? Wait it out?

Nira: I guess so. At least it isn't snow… But I know that's coming soon.

Nira sighed and reached his paw out, allowing the rain to strike it.

Nira: Yeah… The temperature is so low… Feel the icy cold air? By nightfall, this is going to turn into either slush, ice, or snow. Seriously… Why was it blazing hot just 30 minutes ago? Now it's so chilly.

Scorch: Who knows? Maybe Articuno flew over?

Scorch somewhat joked as Nira shrugged.

Nira: Pretty sure that's not what happened. I know some areas in this region can have sudden change in weathers and temperatures. Guess we need to deal with it now…

Shock: How do you know it's gonna snow though?

Nira: It's a trick I learned that hadn't failed yet, so… Rain is often warm, but this is icy cold. The air is also somewhat bitter… So I know nightfall will turn this into ice and snow.

Shock: Great… Lets find someplace fast then.

Nira: Won't be so easy. We should just walk quickly deeper into this town. This place has to have someplace, right?

Scorch: Yeah, I hope. Lets hurry then.

Scorch took no time to sprint from cover and into the rain. He instantly did an 180 and ran back to us. He nearly slammed into the wall with how fast he was. Scorch shook his head and spoke.

Scorch: S- screw that…! That water is freezing!

I looked out into the rain and sighed.

Shaymin: Yeah… We might be staying here for a bit.

Nira: You sure? I'm sure we can find someplace if we are fast enough. Snowy weather can be pretty harsh in this region. Hexa was hit by a nasty blizzard last year, so…

Shaymin: Y- yeah. I'm sure we can endure it.

He sat down at a nearby table and kicked his legs up.

Nira: Alright, I guess. Guess we should get comfy…

The others stood by as we tried waiting out this storm.

Mew's House

Mew: Shaymin…!

Shaymin: Huh?

Sitting up from the couch, I looked at her. Her voice came from the kitchen as I got up. I walked up to her as she was cooking. She was just pulling out a cake from the oven and placing it on the counter. She looked up to see me and she smiled. I watched as she took a bottle of frosting.

Mew: I thought you passed out, heh… Was awfully quiet.

She gave out a soft giggle while frosting the cake.

Mew: Just wanted to say that I'm glad you decided to stay over again. Just always nice having you around…

Mew continued decorating.

Mew: I was kinda planning on taking us down to the North side of my little island. I have a little campsite that I set up. It's so beautiful at night… It's so clear in the sky that you can see everything.

Shaymin: Oh? That sounds nice.

Mew nodded and smiled.

Mew: Well, there is another thing I called you here for.

Shaymin: Oh…?

Mew placed down the frosting.

Mew: Close your eyes.

Tilting my head, I did so. She took a few seconds before telling me to open them.

Mew: Ta-da…!

She exclaimed as I opened my eyes. She was holding up the cake she had worked on. I was somewhat surprised to see that she created a frosting panting of me. It was actually pretty good and I smiled at her.

Mew: Heh… This is a celebration cake for you…!

Shaymin: Celebration?

Mew: Of course dummy, hehe… This is for Azelf's project being successful. I did hear you joined him on his journey a week or so ago. I also heard you helped him with his project and it didn't explode, so…

Mew giggled as I looked to the side.

Shaymin: T- that's good.

Mew: Yep! So I decided to make you a special cake. Because of your help, Azelf wasn't chewed out.

She placed it on the counter again and smirked while speaking in a somewhat sing-like tone.

Mew: It's your favorite…!

She leaned against me and continued.

Mew: Mint and chocolate on the inside with extra cherry slices.

This peaked my interest as she hugged my neck. She looked up at me with her light blue eyes.

Shaymin: L- lets enjoy this then.

Mew nodded and let go of my neck as she started to cut the cake. Mew and I then watched some stuff while enjoying the cake.

Quantum Town?

We all stood close as we walked through the dark streets. Snow fell heavily and we could barely see five feet in front of us.

Nira: T- this is very bad… I can't see anything. I swear we've just been walking in circles for an hour…

Scorch: I'm a little nervous for Cloud… We… Hadn't found her at all…

Shock: I'm sure she's fine. Just, u- ugh… Keep going. We'll find shelter…

Scorch: Uh… N- not so sure.

We continued to walk as we tried looking through the storm. This blizzard was just so intense that we could barely see anything.

Shaymin: Uh… L- look. A street sign.

Shock looked up and narrowed his vision to try and read it. This is when he groaned and shook his head.

Shock: We've been here… I remember seeing this street name. Ugh…

Nira: D- damn…

Nira looked side to side. This is when he tensed and quickly pushed us out of the way. In just a few seconds, a vehicle flew by right where we stood. Nira jumped back at the last second and fell back onto the road. I quickly got up and ran forward. I reached him in a few seconds and pulled him up before bringing him back before another vehicle came flying down the road. We made it back to the others, however, I couldn't find them. Where we landed, they were all gone. I looked very confused and called out for them. I didn't receive an answer as I looked to Nira.

Nira: Uh… G- guys?

He looked around and sighed.

Nira: Crap… Did they try following you and got lost?

Shaymin: I- it's possible? This is bad…

Nira: I can't see a damn thing. This is for sure bad. How did they get lost?

Shaymin: I'm not sure. G- guess we should try and find them. Maybe locate footsteps before they're covered by snow?

Nira: That's a bad idea… This blizzard is so much that footsteps are covered in an instant. Lets just… Try and find shelter. Find the others later. Sounds good?

I sighed and nodded as Nira and I began walking the streets, attempting to find someplace to stay for the night...
