Title: Saved By The Library

Author: badly-knitted

Characters: Ianto, Jack. OFC librarian, Tosh, Gwen & Owen

Rating: G

Written For: Challenge 309 – The Library at tw100

Spoilers: Nada.

Summary: What would we do without libraries?

Disclaimer: I don't own Torchwood, or the characters.

A/N: In the absence of a new challenge, I'm just going to carry on with the one we've got, so here's my sixth dabble for it.

.

I love Janto: He should, but Jack is just so persuasive sometimes that Ianto goes along with his mad ideas against his own better judgment. He claims that he just gets overcome by Jack's pheromones and hs common sense goes out the window ;)

Thank you.

.

Guest: Jack someone always manages to talk Ianto into things, but Ianto just says it's impossible to keep Jack out of trouble anyway, sometimes the best thing to do is just go along for the ride ;)

Sadly, as a Brit who can't afford Sky TV, I haven't seen Arrow. One day, when I can afford to, I'll buy the DVDs, I hope.

JB and GDL are both very nice shapes =)

I watched CoE once - never again. I didn't bother with MD since everything I cared about had already been destroyed. I won't even read fics that are about MD. They wouldn't mean anything to me, I don't know the characters and I'll never write anything to do with it. I've avoided CoE so far in my writing, but I do have two pieces in the works that touch on it. They're both fix-its though, so don't worry.

RTD has a warped view of the world, it seems. As for realism, which he thought was what CoE was all about... I think there was more realism in the first 2 seasons than in CoE. The plot was just so ludicrous, I can only be thankful that RTD isn't in charge of anything important. *shudders* The world would be an even grimmer place if he was. I watch TV as entertainment, to escape the doom and gloom of the real world. The last thing I need is doom and gloom from what I watch on TV.

Milady Dragon already did that =) Her Dragon-Verse rocks!

I've inherited way too much from my mother... Grrrr! At least her hips still work even though mine don't. I've had a lot of trouble with various joints over the years.

There are at least two of my other Torchwood friends who are older than you, so take heart, you're definitely not older than everybody! You're only as old as you feel anyway! (Of course, I feel about eighty most days...)

The librarian smiled as she checked out the books Ianto had chosen.

"Good choice, your kids will love these," she said with a smile.

"I hope so. Anything to keep them quiet for a while and get them to sleep," Ianto replied. "Thank you."

"You're welcome, have a good day."

Books in hand, Ianto got in his car and drove back to the Hub to be greeted by a frazzled-looking Jack.

"I got books!"

"Thank goodness! Okay, kids, story time!"

"Yay!"

Little Tosh, Gwen and Owen clustered around Jack, eager smiles on their faces, tantrums forgotten.

"Thank God for libraries."
