Title: The Perfect Date. Almost…
Author: badly-knitted
Characters: Ianto, Jack
Rating: G
Written For: Challenge 312 – Awkward Moments at tw100
Spoilers: Nada.
Summary: It was the perfect date, so naturally it had to go wrong.
Disclaimer: I don't own Torchwood, or the characters.
A/N: My third drabble for this prompt. I'd like to write a couple more, but first I have to come up with some ideas...
.
Guest: Heehee! Yeah, Jack would find it hilarious and wouldn't hesitate to tease Owen about flashing everyone!
Thank you!
My wrap-around skirt tied, so I never had to worry about it coming off by accident. I carry safety pins everywhere anyway - I suspect Ianto does too, you never know when you might need one.
I have arthritis in all my toes. Trust me when I say walking with toes can be just as difficult, not to mention painful.
Ours is somewhat more wild than I would like. I prefer to be able to see the pond, lol! Also, I'd like to be able to walk along the paths without having to fight my way through shrubs. We have lots of birds, frogs and newts in the pond, toads, wood mice, foxes sun themselves in our garden... the one thing we lack is hedgehogs, haven't seen one in years.
Hopefully Chrome will work, when you get time to try it!

I love Janto: Owen was so sure it was an April Fools joke, it never croseed his mind that Ianto was telling the truth.
Maybe he doesn't embarrass easily, but finding out he's flashing a group of women he's trying to impress in public was plenty embarrassing for him. I bet he slunk back to the Hub with a red face, lol!
Thank you!

The evening had gone surprisingly smoothly, unlike all their previous dates. Nice restaurant, great food, just enough wine to ensure conversation flowed easily. Perfect.
The bill paid, they finished their coffees and rose to leave when Ianto's cufflink snagged on something. Without thinking, he jerked his arm.
A collective gasp rose from the other diners followed by applause, and Ianto glanced back to see their table centrepiece and coffee cups sitting on the table while the tablecloth dangled from his wrist.
As Jack started laughing, Ianto handed the tablecloth to a waiter and hurried out.
Their dates were definitely jinxed!
