I think in the end, Gwen broke herself. She cheated on Rhys, drugged him and treated everyone dismissively. She's lucky she didn't lose Rhys or get herself killed. The fact that she survived had nothing to do with skill or being better than the others; she only survived because others risked their own lives for her, something she never did for anyone on the team.
I don't blame Owen for resenting Gwen. He probably didn't l;ove Suzie, but she was part of the team. Suddenly she's dfead and this outsider, who's never lost anyone she cares about or seen anything really awful comres strutting in acting like she's better than the rest of them just because she's lucky enough to have someone waiting at home for her. It was a kick in the teeth to all the remaining team.

Jack tried the door and wasn't really surprised to find that it was locked. He looked over at Ianto who was lounging in a chair, watching him with an amused expression on his face.
"You didn't think it would be that easy, did you? I've hidden the key somewhere you'll never find it. There's no way out Jack; you're trapped. You'll stay here until I decide you've been punished enough. Just us, in this room, for as long as it takes." Ianto winked and Jack felt a delicious shiver run down his spine.
He hoped it would take all night!
