I never thought that the island we arrived at was Yggdrasil's home. Well, that's a surprise... Now that I think about it, I wonder where I fit in chronologically in the story's plot. Has it already started or not?

I hope not, because if the main character is already traveling, chances are they have already met the Eternals and helped them get their hands on the Revenants' weapons, making them stronger than they already are. I don't need my mission to get more difficult than it already is.

"Kay, what is she?" Merlin asked, looking curiously at Yggdrasil who returned his gaze tilting her head towards us.

"She's Yggdrasil. A Primal Beast, or to say, a materialized concept given form by the people of the Astral world in the form of heroes and deities of legend, and used as weapons in their wars against the Sky world."

"Yggdrasil, the same name as the World Tree of Norse Mythology... So, I suppose mythologies aren't exclusive to our world?" I quickly nodded at Merlin's question.

"If I had to identify common things across the multiverse, it would be myths and religions. Our world and this one aren't the only ones where concepts like Judeo-Christian or the Norse exist, although they don't necessarily resemble each other in both shape or form."

"Well, I'd be surprised if the Nordic world tree in our world was a pretty girl like her."

"You shouldn't underestimate her just because of her looks."

Despite her appearance, she is pretty much the essence of a magical tree created by the Astrals. Now that I think about it, weren't the Primal Beasts simply the legends and heroes of old forcibly incarnated by the Astrals to become their god-like weapons of war instead? Well, it doesn't matter.

The case being that one of those weapons is standing just before us right now.

"What are you two talking about?" Artoria asked as she stood behind me, looking warily at the giant woman, her hands on her sword.

"I'll explain later. Also, put away your sword, there is no need to fight her." I told Artoria who, after hesitating for a moment, did as I told her when she saw my swords disappear from my hands. Letting out a sigh, I turned to Yggdrasil who was staring straight at me.

"I'm sorry for intruding into your territory. I'm Kay, a traveler, and those two are my companions. We were looking for a town and got lost in the forest, so please forgive us for bothering you while you were sleeping."

I said, trying to show that we meant no harm. I was wondering if she could understand my language, given we are from different worlds, and I was a bit surprised to see that she seemed to understand me as she nodded with a smile.

Now that I remember, Granblue was quite famous for doing crossover events with many different series like Code Geass, Attack of Titans and even Gintama. I suppose language will not be an issue in this world.

"~"

"Is she mute?" Artoria asked when we heard a chime-like sound coming from Yggdrasil who smiled at us.

"Seems like it. Well then, we will be on our way. I apologize for the inconvenience." I said before I turned away, ready to walk away with the girls following behind me, but I blinked when my back was poked by Yggdrasil's giant finger.

"Is there something wrong?" I asked the Primal Beast who, to our surprise, started to shrink down to human size, being around Merlin's height. Then, she approached me before taking my hand in hers and started pulling on it.

"Are you telling us to follow you?"

""

Yggdrasil nodded with a smile before she started to go in a certain direction in the forest, dragging me along with her while I could only look at Merlin and Artoria who looked as puzzled as I am.

"Well, looks like we got ourselves a guide."

After walking some distances with Yggdrasil, whom Merlin had a one-sided conversation with as she wished to learn a bit more about Primal Beasts, we soon arrived at a village that was built on trees.

"It's pretty impressive. It's definitely not a sight we could easily witness in our world, that's another world for you."

"Hey, brother, look. That person has animal ears on their head, they look so fluffy... and that girl, she's so tiny and cute."

"Alright, you two. I know you are excited but let's calm down a bit, okay?" I said to the two girls who were looking around, marveling at the people and structures of the city.

But still, I can understand how they feel. There's definitely something amazing about seeing things you've never seen for the first time... Oh, a draph... No, focus on your tasks at hand, me.

"Thank you for bringing us here, Yggdrasil. I will repay this debt to you one day."

"" She chimed before she floated and went back to the forest, seemingly to the place we found her.

I was a bit surprised when we encountered her, but I guess we were fortunate since not every Primal Beasts are as benevolent as her. Although, she was quite friendly towards us despite this being our first meeting. Perhaps...

Feeling a bit suspicious, I browsed over my perks and quickly found the answer to my question.

Blessed Talent

Fortuna and her peers smile upon you. Higher powers, whether they're deities, demons, or merely greater elementals or other spirits, will warm up to you more quickly than just anyone. Blessings or gifts given to you will be more powerful or useful, and curses or smitings aimed at your enemies will be more effective, scaling to how much the specific higher power likes you compared to who- or whatever you're calling upon them for.

So, it's thanks to this. Well, it's a good thing I bought it. Almost all of the Primal Beasts match the qualifications shown in the description, so I'm guessing they'll warm me up pretty quickly, which is awesome. One of the biggest dangers in this world are the Primal Beasts themselves, so if they aren't hostile to me, then I already feel a little safer traveling this world.

Alright, first thing first, I need some informations. I wonder if that merchant is in this town. I know she has stores all over the world so the chances she's in town are pretty small... Well, I can only hope she is.

As for money... Yeah, I got over one million USD in my account. I don't know how much that sum is for the currency of this world, but I think it's more than enough.

"How about we go sightseeing for a bit? It's definitely better than standing there, right?" I asked the girls who nodded at my suggestion before we walked down the wooden street.

After touring the city, I left the girls at the inn where we would be staying for the day on the pretext of seeing more of the city.

It wasn't really a lie since I wanted to see more of the market, buying stuff which would be considered as rare in our world such as sugar, black pepper and all kind of spices I could find. I also considered buying books so I could import worldly knowledge and technology to Britain, but I couldn't read this world's alphabets, so I gave up. Well, that was just a random thought, so I wasn't that depressed about it.

And after walking a few minutes, I finally managed to find the shop I was looking for, the KnickKnack shack, a store that provides all kinds of goods and services across the world.

"And here is your map. It will be 500 rupies. Is there anything we can do for you?"

"Yes, I was wondering if your boss, Sierokarte, was present." I asked the shopkeeper as I received a map from the woman, thanking her while giving her the money.

"I'm sorry but our boss is currently at Auguste Isles. As it's currently summer, people are all going to this island for its resort and she was needed over there. Was there something you needed from her?"

"Well, to put it simply, I managed to get my hands on some old relic but I got a few problems with it, I've been told she's the best person I could get to help me fix them. But it can't be helped if she's not available."

That's too bad. I wanted to meet her since I needed her help to improve the Seven-Star Sword, an iconic sword of Seofon's which I got when I bought his template. However, I wasn't able to unleash its true power over the years. In the game, to improve the weapon, it was necessary to grind for materials and brought them along with the weapon to Sierokarte so she could do the thing, but since this is reality, I do not know if it will be the same method.

"Oh yes, I wanted to ask but do you have some informations about the location of the Eternals' members? I'm willing to spend rupies for them."

"I'm sorry, sir, but only our boss has details about them."

"I see. That's a shame."

It looks like I'm starting my mission on the wrong foot... I knew it wouldn't be easy but...!?

Feeling something dark approaching from far away, I looked outside the shop where the red sky could be seen, the sun slowly setting.

"Sir, is there something wrong?"

"No, it's nothing..."

I have a bad feeling... I better speak with Merlin quickly... before something bad happen.
