The moment they left the bedroom dressed in civilian clothes was when Puri-Puri Prisoner was there to bombard them with questions. Saitama rolled his eyes and moved to the couch he always lounged on with Mitsumi.
"Shut up!" Saitama finally snapped. "I get it. You're happy that you're out of jail. Good for you. Why did you decide to come here of all places? Instead of roaming around and enjoying yourself?"
"Saitama!" Mitsumi frowned and sat up to cradle him to calm him down. "There is no need for you to lash out like that. Okay? He's overjoyed! It's like a monster finally being freed at last! I know this sensation. However, I will agree with one thing you said. Puri-Puri Prisoner, why did you come here?"
"Well…I just wanted to show that I'm trying to change," he admitted.
"Is it for Tsuruga? Or for us?" Zenchu asked.
"I…guess it's for both," the large man nodded. "As much as I fight the urge to show the men around me my love, I know that…well…what you said struck something. I am a hero. Not a villain. I love everyone! I just…love the men a bit more. Really..."
"That's fine. Just know this. Only Mitsumi can touch me. It's actually been proven. All others get a backlash of crap and end up face-planted somewhere. Mitsumi, though? She can poke me. Pinch me. Flick me…and nothing happens to her. I don't even feel it," Saitama shrugged.
"I wonder if you can feel…" Mitsumi grinned and whispered softly to him. Saitama's eyes popped wide open and he looked at her.
"Now. We are doing that now. I need to know. Back in the bedroom," he said. She died laughing when he got up to scoop her up and carry her back into the room to kick the door shut. Ten minutes later had them come back out and back on the couch. Mitsumi was a bit flush now, but he cradled her close to keep her calm. "Yeah. I felt that. All of it. I'll want it again."
"What…?" Zenchu asked.
"He likes nibbling…" Mitsumi snickered. That got Zenchu to pause and cough out laughter. "I won't need to say anything else."
"Oh…" Puri-Puri Prisoner seemed to blush at the thought.
"Anyways," Saitama sighed and pulled Mitsumi close. "When do the others come back? And what is being said about that monster we saw?"
"With Garou? Bane was livid. However, Fubuki was able to explain that things have calmed down. And, you'll love this, the scent of the flowers that were on the fans. Garou smelled it. It…broke hold of something. Inichi heard his thoughts about it. So, there is a small chance that we may be seeing that guy come around. If he does, we'll need to keep some heavy peace between him and Bane. As for becoming human again, well…we don't know," Zenchu shrugged.
"Who are you talking about?" Puri-Puri Prisoner asked.
"It's a long story. I'd say to ask Bane, but he might get mad. I'll put it like this. Garou was a human man once. He was mad that people kicked him around and bullied him. He vowed to become a monster and kill off those that made him mad. Which is everyone. He was also a student under Bane. One of the best ones. Then he went ape-shit and started to kill everyone. Bane has been hunting him ever since. However, there is a very slim chance that Lady Mitsumi may be able to help him see the error of his ways. I mean…fuck…if it happened to me, it could easily happen to him," Zenchu smirked.
"So you were evil?" Puri-Puri Prisoner asked.
"Yep. I was known as the Murdering Shadow. For eighty years I killed someone each day. Something. Anything. And I didn't care. I almost killed Lady Mitsumi, but her gentle presence in a field of flowers stopped me. I woke up and burst into tears on everything I did. I realized how stupid and messed up I was. I couldn't believe it," he sighed. Mitsumi smiled and gestured for him to get a gentle stroke to his hair to calm him down.
"It's okay," she said and was given way to hug him. "You're my big brother. I love you for it."
"I know, little sister," he chuckled and hugged her back.
"Someone died each day?! For eighty years?!" the large hero gaped.
"Like I said. I was messed up," Zenchu shrugged. "It all stopped two years ago when I woke up. And it wasn't always people. It was animals. Hell, even plants. That's how disgusting I was."
"Glad you didn't run into me, then," Saitama said and pointed to the fridge for a soda. Zenchu was quick to help get it for him.
"Trust me. I know. You're the only one that can see me hiding, too. That sucks. Although, I wonder if you can see Siren if she hides," Zenchu mused.
"I probably could have. She was hiding in the kitchen. I was in the main room. We can test it later if she's up for it," Saitama shrugged and opened the can to drink from it.
"The restaurant pretty much just opened, huh?" Mitsumi asked.
"It has," Zenchu nodded.
"Should we head there, Saitama?" she asked.
"Eh…no. I want an alone day. In a sense…" he said and pulled her close to let her snuggle into him. "If anyone else wants to go, they can."
"I should definitely go!" Puri-Puri Prisoner said.
"In that outfit? They didn't give you something else to wear?" Zenchu frowned at the prison suit.
"Oh…well…it is part of my hero costume…" Puri-Puri Prisoner shrugged.
"If you go there, Inichi will direct you to Tacki. She can make you an 'outside of prison' outfit, and we can keep it safe for you here whenever you get out again. Just don't destroy it if you have to attack. You haven't seen Tacki get pissed. She's very scary," Zenchu said.
"A new set of clothes?! Oh! I'll go right now! And, yes, I won't damage them!" the large hero giggled and was quick to head out the door.
"Inichi will tell you where to go!" Zenchu said to make sure he was heard before the door was shut. "That guy…wow…"
"I don't care," Saitama muttered and lay back with Mitsumi to watch a cartoon show.
"Should we check the news?" she asked.
"Eh…nah…" he yawned.
"You sure?" she asked again.
"If something's going on, then someone else can handle it. We did our job today," he rolled his eyes and grinned at the small poke she did to his side.
"Is your job with me ever done?" she asked now.
"Eh…what?" he blinked at her.
"I rather like the idea of going around and looking for trouble…"
"No."
"Why?"
"We are fine right here."
"But…" she frowned. Then she sneezed. Now he sat up to look her over with concern. "Saitama! It was just a sneeze!"
"We were out in cold weather!" he said with alarm and felt her forehead.
"She's fine," Zenchu said on walking over to help her. "I know this. If she sneezed more than three times in a row, that usually signified she was coming down with something. However, the venom auto-cured her. But I do recall her coming down with a fever in the middle of the day. Hit her out of nowhere. Of course, as an old lady, her immune system was weaker. After the snake bite to make her youthful, it was gone with the age change."
"So…three times in a row for a sneeze…" Saitama thought. "Okay. As much as that crap protected her, it still hurt her."
"We know. We can have Kamiko check her over," Zenchu said and paused when a fan set came over to Mitsumi to hold onto. "Oh! Maybe they can help!"
"Okay. I don't want to call Genos. So, one vibrate for yes. Two for no. Is Mitsumi sick?" Saitama asked the fans. The fans had her move them over her body from head to toe slowly for a thorough check before vibrating twice. "Thanks. I needed that information."
"They would know me best," she smiled and let the fans retreat back to the bedroom. "You really do worry over me…"
"Intensely," he said. "I already told you that I get ripped in half the moment anything happens to you. If anything tries to happen to you. I won't…can't…will never…let anything get that far. You know my thoughts about it."
"All too well," she said softly. "And so you know…"
"Hmm?" he asked. Zenchu chuckled and went back into the kitchen.
"If anyone touches you…I'll happily have my fans do the talking for me," she said softly. Now he grinned and nodded.
"I'd expect nothing less," he muttered and kissed her lovingly.
"I only want you to touch me," she whispered and got hugged tight. "To know that…I was…"
"No!" he said firmly and squeezed her to comfort her. Zenchu looked over with alarm, but he knew that Saitama was handling it. "Never again! Don't think of that. I'm right here. Everything is fine. You're married to me by your clan rights. I will kill whoever tries to touch you if it's not me."
"Saitama…" she sighed and rested against him. He ran a loving hand over her back and through her lightly loosened hair.
"That's it. Let it go. Nothing's gonna touch you," he muttered protectively and gave a sharp glare at the door when Genos walked in.
"Master?!" Genos paused with shock.
"Sorry. She had a small…episode," Saitama sighed and quickly relaxed. "What's going on?"
"Ah. Of course, Master," Genos said and sat down by them. "Bane has learned about Garou. As much as I could have let Inichi tell you, I wanted to tell you myself. Bane is-"
"Right here!" Bane said and slammed the door open. Then he paused at the glare that Saitama gave him while holding Mitsumi.
"Stop that," Saitama said. "Mitsumi got sad. Again. So, I'm a bit mad right now. I know. We found that guy. We stopped him. Even more, he insulted Mitsumi. I slapped him. I would have killed him, but she stopped me. She still senses good in him. Also, he may be able to revert to stop being a jerk. He smelled the flowers from the fans. Inichi is going to slowly work on him."
"What?" Bane blinked at this.
"It's true that he did much wrong. But I saw him like I did with Zenchu. He still has some good in him locked away. Saitama felt it, too. He just needed his face slapped to bring it out," Mitsumi smiled softly.
"So, if I slap Zenchu, will that make more good come out?" Saitama asked.
"Shut. Up. No," Zenchu said to him and flipped him off.
"Aww…" Saitama pouted mildly. Mitsumi giggled and gestured for Bane to sit down. Bane sighed hard and grimaced.
"It's difficult. He maimed and destroyed all of my disciples. He desecrated my dojo! Of my disciples, only Charanko was all that was left of them," Bane said sadly and moved to sit down. "I am the last that truly knows of my skill. But I have been busy with the new boys that wanted to learn. Neutral Grounds truly is helping with that."
"Wonderful! How many are interested?" she asked.
"So far, about four young boys. They show definite promise. I just worry that Garou will…" Bane frowned. Then he saw Saitama raise up a finger to stop him from talking.
"If he shows up, you get me. Got it?" Saitama said. "He knows he can't beat me. I gave him a slap to the face with a head-butt. And Mitsumi's fans almost turned him into minced meat. Inichi was able to hold him until I slapped him out of the mountain we were in."
"Slapped him out of the mountain?" Bane blinked. Genos was going to show him the footage, but Zenchu already reached out to Inichi to give over the visions. Now Bane was dying with tears of laughter. "I see! Fine. My brother and I did all we could to bring Garou down. But all you had to do was slap him! Very well. If he shows up…"
"Right. Just get me," Saitama nodded. "It's like we said. I slapped him. Gave him a shock to the head. Mitsumi's fans might have woken up some form of sense in him after I shook him up. We'll just see what happens from here."
"Fine. I'm still unsure, but we'll see," Bane sighed.
"We plan to go out and see some fireworks tonight," Mitsumi said.
"Really? I think some can be purchased. They would be nice to let off for special events and such. I can look into it," he said.
"How much can they go for?" Saitama asked.
"Well, the bigger they are, the more expensive they can get. Why?" Bane asked. Mitsumi looked at Zenchu to wink, and he moved into the bedroom to grab a large wad of paper yen from under the sheets. He brought it over to hand to Bane. "Ah…where did you…?!"
"He got it from under the bed," Saitama said and went back to drinking his soda like nothing was wrong.
"What?" Bane asked.
"We have an actual bed made of treasure and money," Mitsumi sighed. "His idea, of course."
"What?" Saitama looked at her to get her giggling softly. "You asked me if there was something I wanted. I told you. You wanted to spoil me. You did. Even if I didn't have it, you are still all I would want."
"Of course," she chuckled and let him squeeze her and press a kiss to her forehead with solid affection.
"I'm still very surprised at the intense bond the two of you have," Bane chuckled. "I do have to wonder how strong it truly is."
"Can you not tell?" Genos asked. "Master Saitama rarely did much for others much less himself. Miss Mitsumi is perfect for him."
"Mom? Dad?" Fumio asked on walking over.
"Son! What's going on?" Saitama smiled and let Fumio hug him and Mitsumi. "Studying hard?"
"Yeah. Trying to catch up. It's a lot of work!" Fumio sighed.
"Well, keep at it! We plan to go to a fireworks event tonight," Mitsumi smiled. Fumio whooped with joy at it, and Saitama rose up his hands to calm his son down a bit.
"How far along are you in your study book?" Saitama asked.
"I'm almost done with it. Then I can start the sixth year stuff," Fumio said.
"I can assist with grading," Genos said. "I'll give the standard test questions. If you fail them, I'll go over what you need to relearn."
"But…aww…" Fumio frowned.
"Son, be glad that it's Genos that's helping you and not someone else that's part of a school district. If you fail, you'd be held back a grade," Saitama said. "Inichi can tell you what to do, but then you don't learn anything. Granted, he is able to show me how to use fans to work with your mother, but that's just what he can tell me. I would have to actually learn in full to really know what to do. What he does for me is for emergencies only."
"Oh," Fumio blinked.
"Master Saitama is highly correct," Genos said. "As a cyborg, I already know everything I need. You need to learn things properly. I will gladly do all I can to help you succeed. Even more, once you pass the tests properly, I know how to send the tests in for accurate diplomas to come to you. Leave all of that to me."
"Thanks, Genos," Fumio smiled.
"You could go into a public school, but I want you to learn under the safety of us here," Saitama said. "You are my son now. I'm known as a high-ranking hero. The last thing I want is for some idiot to think they can take you hostage. We are avoiding that by having you study safely this way. Personally, I think you'll learn a lot more from us than from a school."
"You know, if you ever decide that Kamikaze can't teach you with a sword, you can always learn from me…" Bane started.
"Why can't I just learn from both of you?" Fumio asked.
"Well…" Bane found himself thinking.
"Fumio, the problem with that is it can take several years to learn just one specific technique. It took me four years alone to learn how to do fan dancing. It was intense, hard, daily training, too. Sure, you could do them both, but eventually you may like one over the other. In time, you may only want to do one instead of the other. You have options, but I'd like to ask. Do you like swinging a sword? Or using your fists?" Mitsumi asked.
"Huh. I haven't given it much thought. It's good to know how to use a sword, but I was curious to see what it would be like to use my hands, too," Fumio admitted. Bane's eyes seemed to light up at this opportunity.
"Hold on, old man," Saitama said. "I'll allow Fumio to have some practice with a few things you have, but no commitments! It's his choice."
"Allow me, Dad?" Fumio asked with a raised brow.
"Trust me," Saitama said. Fumio nodded and looked at the door when Charanko barged in out of breath.
"Charanko?! What are you doing here?" Bane frowned.
"I ran here…from the restaurant…trying to find you…!" his disciple said.
"What's going on?" Saitama asked with a neutral stare. "This is my home you barged into. Tell me what's happening."
"That new dojo is what's happening!" he said.
"We didn't start building our dojo, though. We just set up the mountain. Right?" Mitsumi frowned. :Inichi, Charanko came here to complain about our dojo? Did we even start building it?:
:Lady Mitsumi? What are you…ah. I see. Hmm. I know he was at the restaurant looking for Bane. We told him he was with you. We did not know why he was seeking his master. I shall investigate right now!: Inichi said quickly.
"It's being looked into," Zenchu said.
"How?! We're all just…right here!" Charanko scowled. "We should go!"
"Did you already forget that one of my monster family is highly telepathic and able to do things quickly?" Mitsumi frowned. "We'll know what's going on within five minutes flat. If that. Just wait a bit and relax."
"Ah…well…" Charanko blinked.
:I believe the dojo mountain does need to be seen to. The mountain is fine. It has settled nicely. Ah. We do need to make it larger for Wind Crane. I am not finding anything wrong with the mountain. Let me check…hmm. It appears that our dear Charanko thinks our mountain is larger than his master's mountain. What a foolish notion! They are the same height! I shall inform Bane now.: Inichi mentally muttered and moved his thoughts to let Bane know of the issue.
"Charanko," Bane said and now rose up to confront his bewildered disciple. "There is nothing wrong with the mountain."
"But…" Charanko grimaced.
"The mountain is the same height as ours. It will not cause conflict. However, now that you mention it, it is time to build their dojo. So, now that they have the time to do it, it shall be done," Bane chuckled.
"What?! That's not what I…well…" Charanko grimaced. Mitsumi sat up and stretched before looking at Saitama. He was clearly not happy. Damn this guy! I wanted to stay home! Ah, well…
"Darling, do we dress in our hero suits?" she asked.
"You know what? You dress in Wind Crane Clan assassin clothing. It's for a dojo to teach skills, may as well dress the part. I'll wear my hero suit. Um…what are you thinking of?" Saitama asked when Tacki suddenly barged in with Kamikaze.
"Inichi sent us here fast! Don't move! I'm gonna make you a Wind Crane Clan costume, too! To match Lady Mitsumi!" Tacki said and bolted over to the case of fabrics. Saitama blinked at this and looked at her funny.
"Why? My hero suit is just fine," Saitama said.
"She has a matching hero suit for you. It would only make sense for you to have a specialized suit to match hers. It will show that when you help her with clan business that you are there to also mean business. You even have a performance costume with her! Trust me on this. Okay?" Tacki said and started to look through various feathers. "And I need more feathers broken down. I'll need your help with that, Saitama."
"Okay…" Saitama sighed, but he smiled at the approving and loving look that Mitsumi gave him. "I suppose I can have one more costume to wear with you. It won't replace my real one, though."
"I would never want you to replace that one," Mitsumi agreed and cuddled into him with complete delight. Bane sat back down to see what Tacki was going to create.
"I'll talk to Wind Crane," Zenchu said and went to go talk to the crane monster for feathers. Kamikaze sat down once Tacki got into making the costume base and sighed before looking at Charanko.
"Moron," the swordsman snorted.
"What?!" Charanko gaped.
"Yes. I said it right. We were just fine in the restaurant with her making clothing for the big guy. Then you jump in, nearly cause a riot in the place looking for Bane, and then you had the nerve to shout that their dojo was a disgrace! The dojo wasn't even made yet!" Kamikaze scowled.
"What?" Mitsumi frowned.
"It's true, Lady Mitsumi," Tacki sighed. "I thought Iaian was dense, but this guy? He just took the torch."
"Ah…" Bane coughed and hid his laugh.
"Damn girl! I love ya," Kamikaze grinned and got a kiss given to him in return when Tacki moved to sit in his lap and work on more clothing.
"I can help break those!" Charanko said when he watched Zenchu bring in a mess of feathers. Saitama rolled his eyes, sighed hard and accepted a kiss from Mitsumi. She handed him the feathers to break down into various lengths now, and Charanko was given a feather.
"Good luck," Zenchu smirked. "Oh! We have popcorn. Want some, Bane? You might want some."
"Sure," Bane chuckled and looked over when Tsuruga came in.
"I noticed Puri-Puri Prisoner was here earlier. I kept myself busy helping make a shelter for Wind Crane's nest. Inichi told me what was going on. As pleased as I am that he is trying to change, he still has…questionable motives. So I'll keep myself scarce for now," Tsuruga snorted and sat down to rest. Bane was given his popcorn and was contentedly munching it while watching his poor disciple try and fail to break down a feather.
"Perfectly fine. Oh! Can you accompany us for the dojo to be built? As you are very bulky in size, you can definitely help us with how students would need space to stand and such," Mitsumi smiled.
"I would be delighted, Lady Mitsumi!" Tsuruga chuckled. "I can help see where building can be done, too. I'm sure you won't need much help anywhere else, but it wouldn't hurt."
"Not at all," Bane agreed. Now he looked at his frustrated disciple. "Are you well, Charanko?"
"Why…won't this thing…break?! Or bend?!" Charanko fumed over the elegant feather. "What is this?!"
"It's a monster feather," Mitsumi chuckled. "Saitama can break them fine. No one else really can that I know of. Other than the monster, herself."
A light tap on the door had Zenchu opening it and falling down from the mess of feathers dumped on him by Wind Crane. She was already regenerating them back within seconds from the food being given to her from Inichi's bubbles. Zenchu was helped up with Tsuruga before saying, "We have enough! Don't do that anymore! I don't want you to hurt yourself, okay?"
A small peck was given to him as a response for him to yelp and back away. He scowled at her and shouted when another mess of feathers was dumped on him to shut him up. Mitsumi was dying with laughter at this. Tacki was simply giggling with delight at how many feathers she had to work with now, and she started to pick out the longest ones to help make a cape. Saitama saw this and asked, "Am I really getting a cape of feathers?! That is awesome!"
"Yep! Oh. I don't know if we can dye these feathers, but I wanted to make you a costume like your original one that was made of feathers, too. I know you don't need the extra protection, but it would be good to have," Tacki said.
"I think just a feather cape is plenty," Mitsumi said. "Even laying the soft under-feathers over each other would work fine."
"True…" Tacki said and started to layer the ultra-soft feathers to give an idea of how they would flow down the cape.
"I'd say to line the sides of his suit, too," Kamikaze said. "It would protect the seams from tearing."
"That's a good idea! Oh! I need to make you a good feather cloak, come to think of it. I can keep that atom design, too," Tacki said and started another pile of feathers. "I think I need a room just for feather sorting. We don't have a spare room, do we?"
"We can convert an empty room into a storage room," Genos said. "Or did you want to make a chamber under the home for it?"
"People wouldn't know about feathers. A basic room up above should be fine. It can be my primary crafting room, too," Tacki said. "No one is really on the floor below us, right?"
"True," Genos nodded.
"Let's go with…the room above yours," Tacki said. Genos got up and marked that room down as a new storage room. "I'm sure we'll build an area just for storage above ground. For now, though, this will be good enough."
At a knock on the door, Tsuruga answered it to reveal Sonic standing there. He was let in, and the thin man moved right over to Mitsumi to nod. "What are the plans for now?"
"We may be over-seeing dojo construction in another area. You are welcome to join it. You may be able to see some ideas for your own future dojo if you plan to make one," Mitsumi nodded back. Sonic nodded, saw a soft, white downy feather and picked it up. Grimacing as he couldn't even snap that one in half, he dropped it back into the pile and left with frustration.
"Yep. He's got some training to do," Saitama smirked.
"Tacki, can I get a feather coat to protect me at times?" Fumio asked on looking at all the feathers. She gave him a thumbs up and kept working on Saitama's new costume.
"Can you get me some of those sparkly crystal bits, Fumio?" she asked. He was quick to jump up, see what she needed and ran off to help get them.
"He needs to practice his swing more," Kamikaze mused.
"He may want to try using his fists. He told me," Bane chuckled.
"What?! No! He's my disciple!" Kamikaze scowled.
"Calm down," Mitsumi said. "He actually said he wanted to try to learn from both of you. He really wants to explore his options."
"That's crazy talk!" Kamikaze said with shock.
"It's his choice in the end," Saitama shrugged. "As long as he gets his schoolwork done. That's the main thing."
"I get that. But…no! He started sword training. He stays with sword training. That's how it works!" Kamikaze said.
"Honey? Shut up," Tacki scoffed at him to get Bane dying with laughter. Kamikaze gave a mild glare at Tacki now. "Look at me. I like swords. I like cleaning. I like crafting. I like rebuilding. I even like pissing you off! I agree with Fumio. And I have seen some rare skills where swords and fists do come to play. There's nothing wrong with it. In fact, sometimes attacks are made even stronger if done in certain ways. Look at Lady Mitsumi and Saitama! He punches with her fan dancing! It's amazing! Sure, he knows all about punching and she only knows about her fans, but working together? It's awesome."
"You think I don't know that?" Kamikaze grunted. "And you like pissing me off?! Why?"
"Keeps you on your toes," she giggled sweetly to hear him grumble. "Besides, have you ever tried a combo attack with Bane?"
"Nope. We're close, but not that close," Kamikaze snorted.
"She may be onto something," Mitsumi chuckled.
"No. He can use his hands just fine. I will stick with my swords," Kamikaze said sternly.
"You use swords with your hands, though," Saitama said.
"Not the point!" Kamikaze scowled to get Tacki laughing hard. "Quiet, girl! Get back to work!"
"Oh, really?" Tacki asked now and turned in his lap to face him. She put her hands on her hips to eye him levelly. Now she started to look over his clothes.
"What are you doing?" he asked her and blinked when she pulled up his tunic to eye at a tear on it.
"I just fixed this! Why are you letting your clothes get torn?" she asked with complete suspicion. Mitsumi snickered and grinned at Saitama's confused glance. Genos was just as confused, but Bane was able to get more popcorn from Zenchu. Charanko was ignoring everyone and still trying to break the feather. Tsuruga was wisely staying quiet.
"I'm a swordsman. Swords like to cut things," Kamikaze said and rolled his eyes when she started to fix every single hole she found.
"Maybe I should just cut up all of your clothes and put them all back together again," she mused. "Make them stronger that way…"
"No…" he said and glared at Bane's laughing form.
"Why not? I can call it 'practicing with scissors'. Scissors are like little swords, too, you know. And they can be a lot more destructive than a sword," she grinned softly. "Especially if you know where to cut…"
"Tacki…stop it…" he grimaced.
"Okay. I can see why she can be scary," Saitama said to Mitsumi's nodding head in agreement.
"If I find one more tear in your clothes after I fix them, I may want you to retrain yourself in how to accurately strike away from your clothing," Tacki said to get Kamikaze's jaw to drop with shock. Then she coughed and ran straight into the closest bathroom to get violently sick.
"Tacki!" Kamikaze hissed and was quickly out of his seat to rush to her side.
"What happened?!" Bane asked with his own form of shock. Saitama was glanced at by Mitsumi, and he nodded to let her help out.
"Hold on!" Mitsumi said and had already bolted to her side to help her.
"What…how…?!" Kamikaze asked.
"Pregnant. Remember?" Mitsumi frowned and ran a hand over Tacki's back. "Come here, Kamikaze. Sit with her."
"All of this for kids?" he grimaced and gently comforted her shivering form. "It's okay. I'm not going anywhere. Just don't puke on me."
"Nice…" Tacki chuckled weakly and coughed into the toilet again.
"Kamiko is on her way!" Genos said and ensured the way was clear.
"I still have to…finish…" Tacki winced and rinsed out her mouth from the water Zenchu offered her.
"You will. Just take it easy," Kamikaze said.
"I got here as quickly as I could," Kamiko said and moved right into the kitchen. "Zenchu! I need that mint tea, please!"
"On it!" he said and started up a kettle of water. Within five minutes, the water was set, poured into a mug with some intense mint tea steeping and soon given to Tacki while she rested on Kamikaze.
"Drink this, sister," Kamiko said softly.
"Thanks…" Tacki sighed and sipped it carefully. "This helps. A lot."
"I know. We'll give you some soft food to help you now. You should be okay. Morning sickness. Of all things!" Kamiko sighed and shook her head. "Don't worry, Kamikaze. This is just a positive sign that your twins are adjusting to her. She'll be fine."
"This is positive?!" Kamikaze asked with disbelief.
"It actually is," Mitsumi nodded. "So, if Tacki says to not damage your clothes…please don't? It will just stress her out right now."
"I can't make that promise, but I'll do my best," Kamikaze sighed.
"Mitsumi? Is everything okay?" Saitama asked when he peeked in.
"Yeah. Just think, Saitama! One day, this could be me!" Mitsumi grinned at him. Now he stared at her with a blank look.
"No," he said. Kamikaze started to snicker softly.
"It could be! It's pregnancy sickness. You sure you still want me to have a child?" she asked. Kamiko cringed and coughed to hide her laughter.
"That's not funny! Can't you just…be pregnant and not get sick?" he asked.
"Possibly. But we don't know," Mitsumi smiled and got up when she knew Tacki was well again. Kamiko was carefully cleaning up the bathroom now, and Saitama kept his eyes locked on Mitsumi.
"Do you have any idea how I will be if you get sick like that?! Hell, you got sick like that a few times! I was there for you. I'll still be there for you. But to know that I caused it?! I won't be able to live it down!" Saitama said and found himself quieted by Mitsumi's tight hug.
"Darling, listen to me," she said softly to get his full attention. "With how you said your power is starting to affect you…I honestly don't know what being pregnant with your child will do to me. Yeah, I might get sick. I might not get sick. I know for a fact that…if I do get sick…you'll rush to my side. As quickly as Kamikaze did for Tacki. That shows love and intense concern. Other guys may have brushed things off. But to rush to someone's side like that? That's love."
"I…well…" Saitama grimaced. "We'll see what happens. I guess…"
"That's right," she said and kissed him softly. "How are you feeling right now? Is everything okay?"
"I dunno," he sighed and squeezed her. "Worried over you. If you'll get ill from this. If I'll make you sick. I just…"
"Saitama," she said and gently stroked his cheek with her thumb. "Women go through this all the time."
"But not with a guy like me," he said and gazed at her.
"True. Not with someone as stupidly strong as you. But I know that you will be with me every step of the way. Right?" she smiled to get him sighing and nodding with agreement. "Okay. Let's get your costume finished. Then we'll go to Bane's place for our dojo."
"Fine," he muttered and scooped her up into his arms to carry her back to their couch. He saw Tacki at work again on Kamikaze's lap as though nothing happened. The only difference was the mug of tea Kamikaze was holding for her. Even as he lay back on the couch with Mitsumi, he was lost in thought. The moment she gets sick. Regardless if it's from me or not. I don't care. I'll be right there for her. And I'll punch anyone that keeps me from her.
