"Yeah, you're right, Mitsumi. I'll always want this dish," Saitama sighed after he finished the second bowl of Orotsu's signature dessert. Everyone from the marketplace that was there now got to sample Orotsu's signature dishes, but only Mitsumi was given the intricate dessert.
"This is highly disturbing with what you are telling me," Bomb frowned at Bane. "These…Secret Skins…they could be anyone!"
"Yes, they could. It is why we need to be aware now more than ever. We'll give you all the information you need," Bane agreed and snatched up a freshly steamed mussel. Ozawa was sitting at Sweet Mask's table to talk to him. She was being asked various questions by him to help clear up a series of political problems that her late husband caused. He wasn't pleased on a few things that he learned.
"I know Fan Dancer's uncle may be able to help us here. Do you know who Kiyoshi Takashi is?" Sweet Mask asked.
"Ah…" Ozawa paled.
"You do. Okay. As he is her uncle, I will have her reach out to him. As you are trying to gain favor again with Orotsu, one that Fan Dancer sees as family, she may be able to be gentle with any requests we need done. I'll discuss this at length with her later on," he nodded. He glanced over at Tajima jotting down some possible ideas for scripting on her notepad and found himself chuckling.
Black Sperm was busy eating a large plate of various cooked meats and fish before blinking at a report from his clones. He looked right over at Inichi and waved a tendriled black arm. "Hey! Here!"
"Oh?" Inichi asked and floated over.
"Clones! Find things. Um…new homes!" Black Sperm said.
"Already?" Mitsumi blinked with delight. Inichi was getting the thoughts now, and he was highly impressed.
"And all of the buildings are abandoned. Thus, we can purchase them," Inichi chuckled. "I'll get with Rendor on that."
"Wait a moment," Mitsumi said. "I don't want to use our bank account."
"Is that so?" Inichi asked.
"Yes. We have the money from the prior Monster Association. I want to use those funds to purchase the buildings," Mitsumi chuckled. "Monster funds need to go to the Heroic Monster Association needs. We need to make a separate bank account to hold those funds. Don't touch the funds from the main account."
"Your idea holds merit. We shall get on that," Inichi agreed.
"We need to see how much we have, then," Saitama said. "You did mention it before. And…I did agree with it…"
"Do you need even more funds?" Blue Ripple asked.
"I don't think so," Mitsumi chuckled.
"Wait. How much more do you think we can get?" Saitama grinned.
"You'd be amazed at what I can find along the ocean floor," Blue Ripple snickered lightly. Mitsumi's jaw dropped. Saitama was now making plans for a larger treasure room. Before they could say anything more, the skylight suddenly darkened to show the sun was completely covered with black clouds. Then an electrical charge filled the air to cause even more alarm.
"That's not normal…" Kamikaze mused.
"Something is clearly amiss," Metal Knight said from his robot. "Siren, please come back to me?"
"Okay," Siren said. She was quick to hug Mitsumi before darting to the back room to the waiting elevator. He wanted her safe with him at all costs, and he knew she wasn't built for fighting.
"I know this weather. And I know who is causing it," Blue Ripple chuckled. "We need to go outside before anyone gets hurt."
"Do I need to slap something?" Saitama had to ask when he got up to carry Mitsumi with him. Overgrown Rover shrunk tiny and huffed with concern to show it wasn't leaving their side.
"Master?!" Genos asked when he got up to help.
"No. Stay here. Keep the people inside. If anyone is outside, then you keep them clear," Saitama said. Then he blinked when a bolt of lightning struck down just outside the restaurant entrance. The street now had a black, smoking spot from where the raw electric power touched the asphalt. "Yeah. Keep people inside. This won't be pretty if it hits someone."
"That was a close one…" Mitsumi blinked and hugged Overgrown Rover. Black Sperm had his clones hiding and keeping watch. He even had them ensuring that random humans were out of the way of attack.
"Mitsumi, I need you to carry me," Blue Ripple said. "I don't want my tub damaged. You carried me before."
"Okay," she nodded and let Inichi bubble him to help him get settled with Overgrown Rover. Saitama was unfazed by it, and he continued to carry her outside with the strong monsters in her arms. Then he blinked at the sight of rain falling, and he stopped just inside the covered entrance.
"Ah…no. You'll get sick," Saitama said to her.
"Ahem…" Blue Ripple said to get his attention. "Her necklace. Did you forget? Hmm?"
"Oh! She's dry…and I'm dry…okay," Saitama sighed and laughed softly. He was able to carry them around the corner to the main street crosswalks to see the cause of the lightning storm. Hovering in front of them high up now was a large monster in the shape of something resembling a skeletal horse with horns on its head. Electric blue, glowing eyes studied the group before it, and it seemed to paw the air with a three-clawed foot. Its hide appeared to be pale cream to match the color of lighting, and it flicked a bony tail with a small tuft of coarse hair.
It opened its mouth to scream, and it revealed small fangs lining its mouth. That was when Blue Ripple snorted and said, "Really? That's not necessary."
The electrical monster snapped its jaws shut and blinked at him with complete confusion. As well as surprise on seeing him. When it floated down gracefully, Mitsumi saw it had a tufted beard of fur under its chin, tufts of fur on its ankles and a rather soft, luxurious looking mane of ivory white hair when it got closer. Deer-like antlers a foot long were now seen clearly along its pointed ears from what the horns were, and it appeared to be a good fifteen feet in height. The ground seemed to shiver when it landed lightly. Its entire body seemed to glow with electrical discharge on this, but now it was safe to touch on grounding itself. Even the rain dissipated for now, but the clouds still hung heavy in the sky.
"You look amazing! What are you supposed to be?" Mitsumi asked with awe. "Are you a horse? Oh! A unicorn?!"
"He is a Kirin of sorts," Blue Ripple said.
"So…that's a guy?" Saitama asked.
"Yes. He is," Blue Ripple nodded.
"Ohhh…" Mitsumi breathed. "Can I pet you?!"
"Mitsumi…" Saitama shook his head and kept her in his arms. "We don't know if this is a good monster or a bad monster. No petting yet."
"Why should I let a human pet me? Me?!" the electrical monster hissed with an ethereal tone of despite. He looked ready to rear up to attack, but a small glance from Blue Ripple had him calm down again to hear him out.
"I am her pet. And she gives the best snuggles," Blue Ripple chuckled and purred at her gentle caress to his neck.
"You?! Her pet?! HAH!" the monster howled with laughter.
"I wanted it. I doubt you'd appreciate this, anyways," Blue Ripple snickered. "In fact, I bet you're too good for such a thing."
"You don't know that!" he snapped out.
"Then I dare you. Let her pet you as she does to me. As you may have noticed, I have already given her gifts. And don't think of trying to hurt her. Wind Crane protects her. And her mate here? He can break my scales as well as her feathers. Like nothing," Blue Ripple warned.
"What?" the monster paused on learning this.
"Yeah, you don't want him to slap you. Or punch you," Zenchu said when he appeared and flicked his tail. "He'll kick your ass."
The lightning monster seemed to twitch a bit at this. On looking at Mitsumi's necklace, he realized it was a part of Blue Ripple. Saitama shrugged and said, "I pulled that out of Blue Ripple. He wanted me to in order to help Mitsumi. I also pulled out his teeth."
"You…pulled that…?" the monster blinked. Now he glanced up and saw Wind Crane gracefully land and stand tall behind Mitsumi. She eyed the monster and began to clap her beak before giving him a mental berating. "What?! This one is your clan?! What's left?! I mean…I didn't…okay! I didn't know!"
She was quick to dart her beak out and peck at the lightning monster to further berate him. Zenchu just paused with surprise. "Babe? You know this guy? What's going on?"
"He is only four hundred years old, but he is much like a teenager at times. He has met us a few times now and then. Ah, Mitsumi, your clan kin called him Bright Bolt. If memory serves me, of course," Blue Ripple said and snuggled her.
"So…are you also a GOD monster?" Saitama asked.
"Who wants to know?" the monster snorted.
"Much like me," Blue Ripple nodded. "Of course, only with his element."
"I can speak for myself!" Bright Bolt snorted and stamped a clawed foot.
"Then talk normally," Saitama said. "And I still don't know if you're good or bad. If you're bad, I'll have to kill you."
"What do you mean by normal?" Bright Bolt asked.
"Like this…" Blue Ripple said and sent over a mental thought.
"Oh…" the electrical monster said and lost the ethereal effect. Saitama set Mitsumi on her feet now, and Inichi brought over Blue Ripple's tub to set him into. Inichi still stayed out of sight to keep the humans calm. Overgrown Rover tilted its head at the other monster and snorted with uncertainty.
"It's okay, puppy. If he doesn't want the pets, then you can have them. And the snuggles!" Mitsumi beamed and got it growling with delight at the loving cuddles and snuggles it received.
"I never said I didn't want to try it," Bright Bolt said and took a step towards her. Saitama moved her behind him first.
"One rule," Saitama said sternly. "Before I let her attempt to pet you, I need you to smell this."
"Smell what?" the monster asked. A crane fan set moved to swirl around his skeletal muzzle, and he paused with shock at the scent. Then the white flower image was revealed before the fans went back on her belt to further break whatever wild hold had him. "Why…do I feel so…?"
"So…what?" Mitsumi smiled.
"Ashamed…" Bright Bolt shivered and backed away. Just when he was ready to flee, he paused at the slight touch of her hand on his neck. It was a feeling of calm now. Something he never experienced before. He found himself lowering his muzzle and pressing into her arms. He almost fell to his knees from the calming, peaceful sensation he got from her. As much as he was puzzled by it, he realized he didn't want it to stop. She was amazed that his thin hide felt like rich velvet under her fingers.
"There you are," she soothed and gently stroked his silky mane. "Now I know it's really you. It's okay now."
"I have…so many questions…" he muttered and closed his glowing eyes. No one even noticed how the clouds slowly parted a bit to show the danger was gone in full. It further proved that Bright Bolt had broken free from his destructive nature without even realizing it.
"They will all get answered," she promised. "Just rest easy. I see you as a friend now."
"A friend?" Bright Bolt asked and looked up at her. "No. Not a friend."
"A pet?" Blue Ripple chuckled.
"I…need to think about that," Bright Bolt sighed. On looking at Wind Crane, she clucked at him. "You see her as your daughter? Okay. I don't feel like she is family…but…"
"You're her pet. She'll take care of you," Saitama said blankly.
"Maybe. However, I want Wind Crane to tell me that. In her words," Bright Bolt said. Wind Crane ruffled her feathers with complete dislike.
"You can talk?!" Zenchu gaped.
"Not in that form. But in her…human form," Bright Bolt said with a small chuckle. "How else was she able to properly teach fan dancing? Besides…we all have human forms."
"Shut up!" Blue Ripple growled.
"What?!" Saitama gaped. Wind Crane could only glare, but it was Mitsumi who rose up her hands to calm things down.
"I don't care if they have human forms," Mitsumi said softly. "I honestly don't. Should they choose to become them is up to them. Blue Ripple wouldn't be my pet in a human form. I may see him as a brother, but only in that form. Even then, I will not force them to do anything they don't want to do."
"I'm also very confused on why all of you are starting to come forward," Saitama frowned heavily in thought. "I thought strong monsters like you wouldn't want to be found."
"Strong monsters attract other strong monsters," Bright Bolt explained. "I may be younger than them, but I'm not overly stupid. Yes, I know I act brash at times. Maybe a bit out of control when I get excited. It's my nature. But I'm not above pointing things out when they need to be made known.
"I came here when I sensed a gathering of power. Needless to say, their power. It made me wonder why it was here. Now I know. I thought it was a threat. And I'm glad to have found out that it is far from that. I feel like…I need to join you now. I don't know how else to explain it. But…I have to. I need to know what's going on."
"We need to have a private talk. All of us. This is too…open," Blue Ripple sighed and looked at Mitsumi apologetically. "Mitsumi…"
"It's okay, Blue Ripple," she smiled and moved to let him snuggle into her.
"We. Need. Ground. Rules. Period!" Saitama said sternly and ran a hand over his forehead. "Okay. You. Lightning monster. Are you good now?"
"Well…I don't…want to attack anymore…" Bright Bolt admitted.
"Good. We all need to go home now. We need to talk. Right now," Saitama said with a narrowed glare.
"I just don't get how strong you are," Bright Bolt said. He paused when he watched Saitama take one of Wind Crane's offered feathers to snap it between two fingers. "Wow…"
"Yeah. I can do that," Saitama said with boredom. "I can do the same thing with Blue Ripple's scales. It's how Mitsumi's fans got upgrades."
"The fans?!" Bright Bolt asked. Now he saw the feathers in them, and he was absolutely shocked at the sight of the fan set from Blue Ripple when the fans appeared to hover around them. "Let me guess. You also pulled out his teeth?"
"He did. He also told you that he did," Blue Ripple said. "We'll want a fan set from you, too. It's needed. We need to visit the fire lands later. You know who we need to find."
"For her?! She's in a bad mood. Then again…always in a bad mood…" Bright Bolt mused. "I saw her the other day."
"You know who we need to find?" Mitsumi asked.
"Yeah. She doesn't talk to me," he sighed. "But why do you need to talk to her? That makes no sense."
"We need to talk at home," Saitama said and looked at Wind Crane. "Please take us home? Inichi can bring back anyone else, and he can update this guy."
Wind Crane warbled with understanding and was quick to do just that with a whirlwind of summoned wind. They all appeared in the small arena outside the apartment, and Inichi was quick to arrive with Garou, Lily, King, Kianna, Kamikaze, Tacki, Fubuki, Rendor and Tatsumaki. Fumio was soon there with Black Sperm, and he was sitting in a chair with the others following suit.
"What's going on?" Grigos asked when he walked over. Masaki and Zip were just as curious. Richoo was soon appearing, and he nodded to Shenjou when he came over to see what was going on. Metal Knight had his small robot hovering out of sight to watch the others with Siren in his lap.
"The GOD monsters are appearing. That's what's up," Saitama said. "So, we need ground rules. Fast."
"That's a GOD monster, too?!" Rendor blinked at the sight of Bright Bolt.
"Of my element. Yeah," Bright Bolt nodded his skeletal horse-like head. "And she made me realize that I, eh…wanna stay with her."
"Mom woke you up!" Fumio whooped.
"What did she do?" Bright Bolt blinked his glowing electric blue eyes.
"She made you realize you were a shithead. Like she did with me," Garou shrugged. "I wanted to destroy the world. She stopped me after Saitama kicked my ass and was ready to kill me."
"So…the bald one also hurt you?" Bright Bolt asked with complete shock.
"Excuse me?!" Saitama glowered with fiery, smoldering pupils before getting calmed by Mitsumi.
"Just refer to him as Saitama, please," Mitsumi chuckled.
"Ah…sorry. So…Saitama also hit you?" Bright Bolt quickly corrected himself. That glare! Nope! I don't want to get hit by him!
"Yep. Granted, I took a punch from him. But…it's not easy," Garou sighed. Lily frowned and hugged him to comfort him. "I used to be human, too. Until…another GOD monster made me into a monster…"
"So, you decided to speak of this?" Blue Ripple chuckled from his tub.
"May as well," Garou shrugged. Mitsumi looked at him with surprise, but he seemed to sigh with relief at her understanding smile.
"You were touched?! Hmm…" Bright Bolt thought aloud and stepped forward to sniff him carefully. "I don't know who it was that touched you. Seems to be a GOD monster of chaotic energies, though. Rarely is there a GOD monster that is more than one element. I mean…they exist…but rarer than us."
"And, if the one leading the Secret Skins is one of these…" Blue Ripple grumbled. Now Bright Bolt looked over at him for an explanation. "Ask Inichi. He can give you all the information you need quickly."
"Inichi?" Bright Bolt tilted his head.
"Me," Inichi said when he hovered over. "I will send you visions."
"Ah…oh…" Bright Bolt went still to receive them. After five minutes of learning about the Wind Crane Clan in full, Mitsumi's upbringing, her rescue by Saitama and everything up to this point, he found himself deep in thought. "Blue Ripple, do you recall one we both chanced to meet a hundred or so years ago?"
"It would have had to have been at my lake," Blue Ripple said.
"Wind Crane has yet to meet him, but we need to call him here. He told us to call him the moment anything significant came about. With how we need to make these fans…I think we are going to be dealing with one of the rare GOD monsters of us. One with multiple elements," Bright Bolt growled.
"To help Mitsumi expose and…remove layers of…I see…" Blue Ripple blinked his solid white eyes. Inichi was just in complete shock at what he was mentally learning from them now.
"In five months they will gather?" Bright Bolt asked.
"From what we know, yes," Mitsumi nodded.
"Good. We have time to prepare. We need the fans made at all costs," Bright Bolt sighed. Tacki jumped up before Kamikaze could stop her, and she started to dart around Bright Bolt quickly. "Ah…what are you doing?"
"I can make the fans! It's how I did it for her crane fans and the ones from Blue Ripple! What can we use from you to make the fans from you?" Tacki said.
"You…oh! That's you?!" Bright Bolt seemed to whinny before lowering his head to sniff at her. "I'd say my teeth, but for cloth? I don't have much to offer."
"Your mane could work for cloth. Otherwise, we can use high-grade silk," Tacki said on examining his hair. "I wouldn't say your teeth for the blades unless you can get larger. But your claws could work!"
"Teeth would be better for the blades," Blue Ripple said. "We should stick with that to keep to the template."
"I wonder," Shenjou mused and came over. "Should fans be made from my teeth with the potency of my venom?"
"I don't know. Your venom can melt down everything. Except for Saitama," Tacki frowned. "You even melt glass if we bottle it up."
"Can I see this?" Bright Bolt asked. Inichi brought over a steel beam to let it get melted by Shenjou's venom. Saitama already had his hand out to get a drop of the venom to show he could handle it. "That's…huh. I don't think lightning could hurt you. Would it?"
"I can't get hurt by lava, so likely not," Saitama shrugged and wiped off his hand thoroughly to remove the venom. "As it is, we don't know how else to use his venom unless I handle it with my bare hands."
"I wonder if grooves can be made in the fan blades after being put together to hold his venom," Mitsumi mused at the thought.
"I wouldn't want to use a fan set to experiment on. It would hurt you too much if anything happened to them," Saitama said and hugged her. Overgrown Rover whined and started to lick at them both to get them laughing softly.
"Anyways, you said we had to summon another. How do we do that?" Mitsumi asked. Bright Bolt snorted and looked up at the sky.
"He doesn't really like sunlight. He is the earth one of us. Night would be the best time to reach him," the electric monster said.
"Saitama, let me dance again for you. Like that first night," she smiled. "This way any new monsters can see it."
"Ahh! Okay. We can do that," Saitama mused. "And with your new fans and how they are…"
"It will be even more fantastic," she winked and got kissed by him in a loving way. "You do know the other heroes may be here to see it."
"Only if we announce it," he said. "If we are summoning another GOD monster here, I don't want them here. They might do something stupid."
"Hmm. May we have Sweet Mask and the board members here?" Inichi asked. "Only because they do work with the main part of the Hero Association. We can even bring that important man."
"Don't bring Stitch," Kamikaze grunted.
"True. He may think the world is coming to an end," Inichi grinned slightly.
"There is only one problem now," Blue Ripple said grimly.
"What's that?" Mitsumi asked. Saitama motioned for a chair, and Zenchu brought it over to let him sit in it with her in his lap. Overgrown Rover huffed and settled comfortably on them.
"In order for us to summon this one…I don't think we need our human forms. However, we may need to be in human forms to do certain things to enhance the fans," Blue Ripple grumbled. "Wind Crane, too."
Wind Crane clapped her beak with dislike and sighed hard. Zenchu looked at her and asked, "I wouldn't mind seeing what that form is like. I mean…maybe you can have a kid from me in that form?"
Now she looked at him like he was crazy and began to peck at him. She only relented when he begged for her to stop after a full minute of it. Bright Bolt was highly curious now and he asked, "A young one?"
"Yeah. Wind Crane's my girl. We…apparently had sex. She has four eggs under heavy protection now," Zenchu said and massaged his tail.
"Stop rubbing at that. You'll only make it worse with chafing," Garou said to get Zenchu growling at him. Mitsumi died laughing with the others now.
"He said that with the other monkey man after I flicked his arm," Saitama grinned lightly. Zenchu sniggered with laughter at the memory.
"Ugh!" Lily grimaced to get Fubuki laughing at the whole thing.
"But it's truth!" Garou said and grinned at Lily's small poke to his chest. She shook her head at him and sighed with disbelief.
"Yep. They're brothers from different times," Saitama nodded. "Anyways, when does the summoning start?"
"I'd say at sunset," Bright Bolt said. "So, I'm going to suggest something that no one wants to hear. As in Blue Ripple and Wind Crane. Become human and learn to work with it. Even if it's for a few hours. We have to in order to summon this one correctly."
"We don't need to be in human forms to summon that one," Blue Ripple snorted. "He just said to summon him. There was no specific way to do it. I won't change into a human form without good cause. I did it once. I didn't like it. As much as I said it may be needed to enhance the fans, I won't change if I don't have to do it."
"Okay. Let's explore this. Why didn't you like it?" Saitama asked. Blue Ripple whined and grimaced. Saitama quickly looked at Mitsumi and knew she was ready to get livid at him from her pets' discomfort.
"Stop it!" Mitsumi growled and moved to Blue Ripple's tub to let him snuggle into her arms. "If he doesn't want to become human, then don't push it!"
"I know why he doesn't," Inichi said with a soft smile. "She won't snuggle him like this in any other form. Even we know that Mr. Saitama won't permit it."
"So…you won't become that form…because Mitsumi won't…" Saitama blinked. "Hmm. Then answer this. Do you know what your form looked like?"
"I do. It's not a bad form at all. It is much like your muscular ones with a blue beard of sorts. Instead of ears, I have fin wedges. I do have blue skin, but I have an overlay of my scales as armor. My eyes stay the same. And I'm taller than Zenchu by two feet. So, I know what I look like as a human. I did make the mistake of attempting this around your prior clan mates. Needless to say…they, ah…wanted to mate with me…" Blue Ripple sighed. "I declined politely."
"So, that's another reason, right? You think I'll hit you?" Saitama asked with a small grin of knowing.
"I saw you punch my mountain wall clear through! You think I want that aimed at me?!" Blue Ripple said to get Mitsumi smiling and shaking her head.
"What did Wind Crane look like?" Zenchu asked. Wind Crane looked at him warily, but she sent him an image. "You were one of those sexy Geisha girls?! Are you fucking kidding me?!"
"It would make sense with the fans," Mitsumi smiled.
"Babe, no, I still find you amazing as you are. You can kick my ass as you are. Just as Lady Mitsumi said, if you don't want to change then don't. I don't want you to feel forced in that. Okay?" Zenchu said to get her sighing. "I get it. I know. I've been there. When you're ready. If you're never ready, then that's fine, too. I completely understand."
Wind Crane rested her beak on his shoulder to show she was grateful. He nodded at her and looked at Bright Bolt. The electric monster was already judging the arena and trotted around it to make sure it could do what was needed. Then Bright Bolt said, "This area can work. Who do I talk to in order to set up a summoning circle of sorts?"
"You can chat with me," Tacki nodded.
"What we need is simple, but various things are needed. We need sand or dirt from all four corners of this land," Bright Bolt said. He looked up at Metal Knight's hovering robot when it approached.
"I can retrieve that easily. It's being done as we speak," Metal Knight said.
"Now comes the hard part. We do need to go to the one that controls lava. And we need to do this now. She must be here to understand her need to help with the fans. We can't wait. Her power is also needed to burn things to show it's an elemental emergency. The more of us working together to summon him will draw him to us that much faster," Bright Bolt said. "Is everyone ready for travel?"
"Right now?" Saitama blinked.
"Yes. Now," the electric monster nodded. "I know of one other from plant life. But I heard he was mourning the loss of one of his offspring. It was killed by heroes. I think it was a large bear…?"
"Ah, crap. We had to kill it. It was eating villagers," Saitama grimaced.
"What?! You killed that one?!" Bright Bolt blinked with complete surprise. Inichi sent over what they had to do in order to cure Kamiko. That had him sigh with understanding. "I see. That one was lost to being a full monster. I don't think he knew. You'll need to show him that vision if we manage to find him."
"We'll need Genos and Kamiko here. They're at the restaurant with the others. Even Tsuruga can help us, and we know he's guarding Neutral Grounds with Tanktop Girl. Can we wait a couple hours, please? Then we can close the restaurant early. This will give Orotsu time to prepare tomorrow's food prep," Mitsumi said. "He'll worry over food spoiling if he doesn't get this chance."
"I suppose we can wait," Bright Bolt said with a touch of annoyance.
"Look. We know it's important. But we have to be ready. This will give us time to prepare. So, Mitsumi and I will go inside and take a bath. We'll dress in Wind Crane Clan attire, as this is not Hero Association stuff. We'll meet back out here in an hour. If this is your monster form, we'll build a suitable home for you to relax in. I don't think you can fit in the building with us," Saitama said.
"Shrink small," Blue Ripple suggested.
"Eh…do I have to?" Bright Bolt asked.
"Do you want to come inside?" Mitsumi smiled softly. He sighed hard and focused to shrink to a toy horse size. Overgrown Rover huffed and yawned before finding itself taken by Saitama to hold onto. Mitsumi now knelt down and carefully picked up Bright Bolt to gently snuggle.
"Huh! I…I see why…you like this…" the powerful electric monster found himself resting his head against her shoulder.
"There is a big rule in the bedroom," Saitama said. "Pets can come into the room, but they must wait until I am done with Mitsumi before climbing into the bed to rest. My dog can let you know when it's safe. As well as Blue Ripple."
"We can sleep with you?!" Bright Bolt asked with shock.
"Just resting," Blue Ripple said. "It's actually needed. Mitsumi started to have a nightmare of her past. I got Saitama in to help. He never had that chance. And you know what she went through before him now."
"Hmm. I see," Bright Bolt snorted. "I guess I can use the time waiting to learn how things will work here."
"Good idea," Saitama said and let Inichi bring Blue Ripple's tub after them into the apartment complex. Saitama could only sigh in thought. More strong monsters to share my bedroom! What the hell?! Then again…I got into Mitsumi's last nightmare with their help. I suppose I'll make due. And it makes her happy to have all these pets now. She always deserves to be happy. I'll ensure the ground rules stay. Not much else I can do, right? I'll make sure each monster pet has a suitable bed of their own, though. Yeah. I can do that.
