AN: Hello, hello, hello, and welcome back to my adventures as a crossover author!

Quick note: Detroit's Spider-Man is in no way, shape, or form related to the Lost Wolves Saga. Just dispelling any illusions anyone might have.

Though I may make a reference or two between these stories…

So this story has been cooking in my cranium for a while now. It started with a single idea: What would happen if Blackarachnia and Spider-Man met? That line of thought got stuck in my head, and now, here we are.

Anyway, the stuff you undoubtedly know but I am probably legally obligated to provide: I do not own Spider-Man, Transformers: Animated, or associated characters and properties. Those belong to Sony, Insomniac Studios, Marvel Comics, Hasbro, Takara, etc.

Prologue: Allspark

Everyone knows the origin story of Spider-Man. How a fifteen-year-old Peter Parker was bitten by a radioactive spider while on a field trip to Sumdac Systems. How he gained superpowers from that spider-bite.

How his Uncle Ben was shot by a mugger.

How Peter could have stopped the perpetrator.

Eight years later, Spider-Man protects those within Detroit, Michigan from all who would threaten its inhabitants. He would die to save everyone he could. Since everyone knows that story, let us start further back.

Fifty years back.

"Many millions of years ago, war raged between the forces of the heroic Autobots and the brutal Decepticons for control of the planet Cybertron. The Autobots battled valiantly in the name of honor, their courageous exploits bringing hope and glory to a beleaguered war-torn planet and inspiring countless generations of robots yet to come online."

Optimus Prime sat in the command chair of his repair ship, the Orion. The young red and blue bot was the captain of the vessel. Even after washing out of the Elite Guard, Ultra Magnus had seen fit to make him a Prime. He had even given him a crew…

…of other misfits.

They had been sent to repair spacebridges. Admittedly an important task, but not one Optimus relished. Most of the job consisted of clearing debris and turning the bridges off and on again.

"What a load of scrap metal!" Ratchet, the team's grizzled medic, griped in reference to the vid as he walked up behind Optimus. The red and white bot was far older than the others, and far crabbier, too. Maybe it came with age. "Why do you waste your time with those old history vids?"

Optimus leaned forward in his chair. "All the great Autobot leaders learn from the past."

"Look around, Prime. The Great Wars ended centuries ago," Ratchet countered.

Optimus turned to the medic. "But you were there, Ratchet! You saw some action!"

He turned back to the paused vid. "What were the Decepticons like?"

Ratchet creaked his head towards Optimus. "Trust me, kid. You're better off not knowing." He jabbed a thumb towards the bridge's massive viewport. "Besides, the young bots could use a hand."

Looking out the window, Optimus saw Bulkhead dangling from his wrecking ball. The massive green bot had a golden heart, but he was extremely clumsy. And not the smartest.

"Bumblebee, my wrecking ball's stuck again!" Bulkhead called out over the radio. Evidently, his clumsiness had shown itself again. Optimus closed his optics and shook his head as he stood up.

As he and Ratchet walked over to the airlock, Optimus asked the medic, "Do you ever get the feeling we were programmed for something more than just repairing spacebridges?"

"I got a diagnostic program that can delete that feeling like a bad line of code," Ratchet replied with a grin.

Optimus fingered a button on a nearby control panel. As alarms blared throughout the cargo bay, the docking tube extended from the Orion towards the nearly spacebridge. The two bots then transformed into their alt-modes: Optimus turned into a tracked truck, and Ratchet into a tracked ambulance. The pair then set off to help their fellow crewmembers.

"I don't like heights, Bumblebee!" Bulkhead yammered as he continued to hang from the cable connecting his arm to his wrecking ball.

Bumblebee rushed up a nearby hill. The small yellow and black bot had a penchant for speed, but his reluctance to wait often got him into trouble.

"Cool your circuits, Bulkhead. I'm working as fast as I can," Bumblebee responded as he hopped up the cliff. "And you know there's no bot faster." He retracted his hand in favor of his stinger, shooting blue bolts of energy at the rock Bulkhead's wrecking ball was stuck in to what looked like little effect. He then replaced the stinger with his hand and stomped the area he shot, causing the cliff to quake.

"Oh, I think I'm gonna blow a gasket!" Bulkhead yelped as he put a hand to his mouth.

Bumblebee raised his foot once more. "Try to hold it in a little longer- AAGH!"

The cliff suddenly collapsed, and the two fell straight to the surface of the asteroid, Bumblebee landing on top of Bulkhead.

It was then that Optimus and Ratchet drove up. As they transformed into their robot modes, Optimus asked, "Alright, what seems to be the problem?"

Bumblebee got off of Bulkhead and put his hands on his hips. "I think the technical term is 'bunch of big hunking rocks jamming spacebridge.'"

Bulkhead got to his feet as well and retracted his wrecking ball. "Know what I can't figure out? Why would anyone want to transport to this Allspark-forsaken sector?"

"That's not the point, Bulkhead," Optimus responded as he walked over to a nearby boulder. "We have a job to do here, and no problem is insurmountable with the right tools, and a little teamwork." He drew a red axe from over his shoulder and heaved it into the boulder several times, eventually shattering it. "Everyone lend a servo!"

"Bulkhead!" The green bot swung his wrecking balls at the flying debris.

"And now you, Bumblebee!" The speedster shot his stingers at whatever Bulkhead missed.

"Come on, Ratchet!" The medic extended small pincers from his wrists, using them to magnetically lift the rocks out of the way.

"You too, Prowl!" At the lack of response, Optimus looked around. "Hey… where is Prowl?"

Suddenly, a shuriken whizzed past Optimus, who had to lean back in order to not get hit. It broke apart a chunk of rock, before returning to its owner. "Just have to know the weak spot."

Prowl had been in training to be a cyber-ninja when Optimus' crew found him. A stray energon cube accidentally destroyed the black, gold, and white bot's ship, so he begrudgingly joined the crew. He struggled to work with a team, though.

"Yeah. Next time, you might wanna give us a little more warning," Optimus deadpanned in response.

"That would just mess up my timing," Prowl countered as he strode towards the rest of the crew.

"Young bots," Ratchet sighed as he shook his head. "Can't live with 'em. Can't melt 'em down for spare parts."

Bulkhead bent down to Bumblebee's level. "Why's he so grumpy all the time?"

"You'd be grumpy too if you had one servo in the scrap heap," Bumblebee whispered back.

CLANG!

"I may have one servo in the scrap heap," Ratchet crabbed as Bumblebee staggered from the slap, "but I can still hear!"

Optimus put his foot on a nearby rock and his servos on his hips. "Okay, I know we're stuck out here in the middle of nowhere on a thankless assignment, but remember, we're all cogs in a great big Autobot machine."

Prowl palmed his faceplate. "Not this speech again."

"A machine that's stronger as a whole than any one component part," Optimus continued unabatedly. The ground began to rumble. "Together, we can move mountains."

Suddenly, the twin-pronged spacebridge sparked to life. It created a bright white shockwave that sent everyone flying back. Prowl used his thrusters to stabilize himself, but everyone else wasn't so lucky.

"Bad choice of words, big bot!" Bumblebee clamored as he was tossed back.

Optimus activated his mouth guard. He fired a grapple hook at a nearby asteroid and swung from it, pulling Bumblebee to safety. He then activated a rocket on his axe, swinging it at a flying rock and breaking it apart.

It was at that moment that Prowl ran out of fuel. As he fell towards the ground, Optimus rocketed upwards, catching the cyber-ninja before he could hit the asteroid. The Prime then shot out a net, catching a massive swarm of rocks and stopping them from hitting Bulkhead.

He then finally landed back on the ground. Optimus extended his axe's handle out and pole-vaulted with it, sending out a grapple at the spacebridge and turning it off. The rocks all collapsed to the ground soon after.

Prowl closed Bulkhead's dropped jaw for him. "Impressive."

"Where'd you learn moves like that?" Bulkhead finally asked.

As Ratchet got to fixing up Bumblebee, Optimus retracted his mouth guard and put his axe behind his back. "I… trained at the Autobot Academy," he admitted.

Ratchet stood up from his work and asked the question on everyone's processors. "So how'd an Academy bot end up on a broken-down maintenance crew?"

"Yeah, shouldn't you be leading the Cybertron Elite Guard or something?" Bumblebee added.

Before Optimus could answer, a bright blue glow caught everyone's attention. In response, the Prime pried apart two rocks, before pulling out his axe and swinging it at the boulder beneath them.

"Uh, I don't think that's such a good idea, Boss-Bot," Bulkhead advised as he raised his hands to protect his optics.

"Prime, no!" Ratchet exclaimed as he stuck his hand out, to no avail.

With one final swing, Optimus finally reached the source of the glow. An orange box with two gray handles laid in a small hole. The box had glowing blue lines crisscrossing all over it.

"What is it?" Bulkhead asked in amazement.

"I don't know," Bumblebee responded. "Maybe we should take it back to the ship so that Doc-Bot can check it out."

He tried to grab the box, but before he could touch it, Ratchet snapped, "Leave it. Or better still, throw it back through the spacebridge. This thing isn't meant to be found."

"What's got you so spooked all of a sudden, Ratchet?" Optimus asked. Before he could get an answer, though, his emblem on his left shoulder beeped.

"Teletraan 1 to Optimus Prime. Teletraan 1 to Optimus Prime," the Orion's AI called. "Unidentified spacecraft entering this sector. Energy signature consistent with Decepticon warship."

"Decepticon?" Optimus said as his emblem blinked off. "That must be a mistake. The Decepticons were destroyed centuries ago."

"Defeated, not destroyed," Ratchet corrected. "And we're not waiting around to find us."

He then transformed, and noticed that the others weren't following his example. "What are you bots waiting for? An invitation? Load it up, pronto!"

"Wait, Ratchet," Optimus interrupted as Bumblebee and Prowl got to work getting the box into the medic's trunk. "Why the sudden urgency? What is this thing?"

"There's no time, let's roll!" Ratchet responded as he drove back to the docking tube.

Back on the Orion, Bumblebee and Prowl unloaded the box from Ratchet.

"You're the history buff, Prime," the medic said. "Ever hear of the Allspark?"

"Yeah, the most powerful energy source in the universe," Optimus answered as Ratchet transformed back into robot mode. "It gave the spark of life to all Cybertronians."

"Everybot knows that story," Bulkhead dismissed.

"Here's another one," Ratchet replied. "The only way we were able to win the Great Wars all those centuries ago was by keeping the Allspark out of the Decepticons' hands. So it was sent through a spacebridge, hidden in some far-flung corner of the galaxy where no one would ever find it."

"So you're saying we found the Allspark?" Bumblebee questioned. "The real Allspark?"

"No," Ratchet responded. "I'm saying it found us."

"Warning: spacecraft approaching," Teletraan 1 suddenly warned. "Positive identification as Decepticon warship."

"It's not the only one that found us," Prowl grimly added.

The Autobots rushed to the bridge and sped the Orion away as fast as they could. "It's following us," Prowl reported.

Ratchet turned to Optimus. "You wanted to see action, kid? Be careful what you wish for."

Bumblebee turned away from his console. "Hello? We're repair crew. Please tell me you're not actually thinking of taking on Decepticons?!"

"Not without backup," Optimus responded. "Patch me to Cybertron command headquarters!"

"Wow, when you want backup, you go straight to the top," Bulkhead remarked, drawing a small smile onto Optimus' face. A screen then appeared in front of the captain, revealing a blue and yellow bot with a rather pronounced chin.

"Optimus Prime," Sentinel Prime smugly said. "You mean they still let you command other Autobots?"

"Don't start, Sentinel," Optimus annoyedly preempted. "Just put me through to Ultra Magnus."

"Now how could a third-rate rock buster possibly merit the Autobot Supreme Commander's attention?" Sentinel sardonically asked.

Optimus' optics narrowed. He wasn't in the mood for this. "Display cargo hold visual." A few beeps later, the glowing box appeared on the screen, wiping the smirk off of Sentinel's face faster than a Scraplet could eat through a bolt.

"I'll… put you through right away," Sentinel relented, before the screen turned off. Optimus and Ratchet shared a glance, before a blue and white bot appeared.

"Ultra Magnus here, Optimus," the commander greeted. "We're tracking your Decepticon signal. Probably just a lost scout ship. Ever since we drove them off Cybertron, the 'Cons have been wandering the periphery. They'd never be so foolish as to invade Autobot space. Still, I'm sending out a strike force to intercept if necessary. Meantime, you and your bots just sit tight. And Prime, don't try to be a hero. It's not in your programming." The feed shut off.

"Decepticons still on our tail and closing in fast," Prowl reported.

"So, uh… why don't we see 'em?" Bumblebee asked as he glanced at his monitors.

Optimus sat down and started typing. "Teletraan 1, set a course for the nearest spacebridge."

Bulkhead turned around in his chair. "But Ultra Magnus said to sit tight."

"With all due respect, Ultra Magnus isn't carrying the Allspark," Optimus pointed out. "So we'll make a beeline for the nearest spacebridge, and blast through whatever debris is in our way."

The Orion sped through the asteroid field, its crew tensely awaiting transit. Suddenly, a massive, angular black ship rose into view, blocking their escape.

"Uh, Boss-Bot?" Bulkhead apprehensively said. "I don't think we can blast through that."

The Decepticons had revealed themselves.

"I've never seen a Decepticon ship up close," Bulkhead confessed.

"No one has, and lived," Ratchet responded gravely.

Optimus typed furiously on his keyboard. "It's a command ship. I recognize the markings from the history vids." An angular purple emblem, sharply pointed, appeared on the monitor.

"Megatron…" Ratchet murmured.

"Megatron?" Bumblebee asked. "As in the cruel and vicious Decepticon leader, who eats Autobot protoforms for breakfast?!"

On the bridge of the Nemesis, two Decepticons bickered.

Lugnut was a massive purple 'Con with a single red optic. He wasn't very smart at all, but he was fiercely loyal to Megatron to the point of worship. He didn't take criticism of their glorious leader too well.

Starscream, on the other hand, was a Seeker. Lighter than other 'Cons, but still larger than most Autobots, he was fast and agile. His wings and thrusters enabled him to fly. He was also afforded a great deal of influence due to being Megatron's second in command. The one thing that made him a problem was the fact that he was as treacherous as a 'Con could get.

"Megatron is a fool who's been chasing a ghost for centuries!" Starscream crabbed. "I seriously doubt we'll find this 'Allspark' aboard such an insignificant vessel."

"Traitor!" Lugnut bellowed, taking several step towards the Seeker. "Megatron is wise! Megatron is bold! Megatron will return the Decepticons to Cybertron! And-"

"And wipe our homeland clean of the stench of Autobot tyranny, blahdy blah blah blah," a female 'Con dismissed.

Blackarachnia was a rather curious case. She was a former Autobot, but somehow got mutated into a half-Cybertronian, half-organic spider form. Seeing nowhere else to go, she joined the Decepticons. She had four red optics and a pair of pincers behind her back.

"Did you memorize that speech, Lugnut?" Blackarachnia mockingly asked. "Or is it hardwired into that thick one-track processor of yours-"

A bright purple beam interrupted the argument by freezing Blackarachnia's arm in ice. The new arrival strutted into the bridge.

Blitzwing was another curious case. Sometime ago, Blackarachnia had experimented on him, giving him the ability to have two different alt-modes. This had the side effect of splitting his personality into three.

"As usual, Blackarachnia, your demeanor is unpleasant as that accursed organic mode of yours," the blue-faced, monocled Blitzwing said coldly, retracting his cannons behind his back.

"Blow it out your actuator, Three-Face," Blackarachnia responded with a snarl, flexing her servo and shattering the ice.

Blitzwing's blue face then spun around, revealing a red face with a visor, a gap in his denta, and a pronounced chin. "The name is Blitzwing, insect!" Hothead Blitzwing angrily said. "Remember it! 'Cause it's the last thing you'll ever hear before I-" His face spun again, this time switching to a black one with chaotic red features. "Express my feelings in song! The itsy bitsy spider crawled up the water-"

As Blackarachnia made her retort, the Decepticons descended into bickering once more. They were all silenced by the door to the bridge opening.

The only one capable of shutting up all of Blitzwing on sight, and the only one Lugnut worshiped like a god, Megatron was the leader of the Decepticons. He had taken control from the previous leader by force and immediately called for violence against the Autobots. He saw himself as a freedom fighter, freeing Cybertron from Autobot tyranny. He ruled the Decepticons with an iron servo and a massive arm-cannon, and towered over all the others.

The crew all stood at attention as Megatron's spike-covered form emerged from the hatch. He walked right past them, not bothering to say a word to any of them until he reached the end of the walkway. "Starscream, report."

"Energy reading off the scale, my liege," the Seeker responded. "Shall I fire on the Autobots?"

"Cripple their ship," Megatron ordered, narrowing his optics, "but do not destroy it… yet."

"Yes, yes, yes! Brilliant strategy, oh wise and great leader!" Starscream eagerly agreed as he walked up beside his superior.

Almost too eagerly.

The Autobots watched with wide optics as a bright purple light appeared on the side of the Decepticon warship. Optimus recognized it immediately.

"Teletraan 1! Evasive maneuvers!" the Prime barked.

The Orion veered to starboard, narrowly missing the enemy vessel's energy beam. The Autobots inside had to brace themselves against their consoles to stay upright.

"Activate emergency defense system!" Optimus directed. "Code name: Omega!"

"I'm sorry. This function has been disabled in compliance with Cybertron's ongoing efforts to conserve energon," the AI responded, its monotone voice showing exactly zero legitimate remorse.

Optimus managed to raise himself from the console slightly. "What- ugh!"

The Autobots were tossed about inside the ship as it swerved again. From his spot on the floor, Bumblebee deadpanned, "We're all gonna die, aren't we?"

The Decepticon ship continued to fire blasts of energy at the Orion. The ship maintained its evasive maneuvers, but it was clear that something had to change if the Autobot crew and their precious cargo were to survive.

"Warning: asteroid field," Teletraan 1 alerted. "Initiating alternate route."

"No, override!" Optimus barked. They needed cover.

Fast.

Behind them, an asteroid was blown up by a pulse of energy, the Decepticons accelerating through the debris moments later.

"I've got a match on the energy reading," Blackarachnia reported from her console. "If it's not the Allspark, it's something just as powerful."

Starscream bowed. "I volunteer to deploy and breach the Autobot ship!"

From his throne, however, Megatron wasn't having it. "I didn't spend the last four million solar cycles searching the galaxy just so you could lay your greasy wings on the Allspark," he said as he grabbed Starscream's wing and pulled the Seeker closer to him, drawing pained grunts from his lieutenant.

"I will harness its energy into the ultimate weapon," Megatron declared, "and crush the Autobots for good." He shoved Starscream's dented wing away as he got up and walked to the airlock.

"Well, I'll get this fixed, then," Starscream murmured.

As the airlock's outer hatch opened, Megatron heard his chief lieutenant walking up behind him. "What is it now, Starscream?"

Starscream patted his master on the back. "Only to wish you luck, my liege."

"I do not believe in luck," Megatron responded coldly, before stepping out and transforming into his jet mode.

The Decepticon leader then rocketed towards the small Autobot maintenance vessel.

Starscream smirked. "Neither do I."

Megatron had no idea what he was in for.

Just how the Seeker liked it.

The Autobots saw a massive Decepticon transform behind them as they redlined the Orion's engines. He had dark, spike-covered armor, and a massive cannon on his arm.

"Megatron?" Optimus said quietly.

"You never said he was so big," Bulkhead murmured, optics wide with fear.

"You never said he could fly!" Bumblebee added.

Everybot tensed in anxious anticipation.

Bulkhead creaked open an optic to glance at his screen, only to see that Megatron wasn't there. "Huh. Guess he wasn't coming for us."

The ship then rumbled, instantly disproving Bulkhead. Optimus looked up, and saw the ceiling glowing a bright purple.

Megatron was trying to carve his way in.

Optimus growled. "Ratchet, seal the hull breach! Prowl, hold the ship steady! Bulkhead, Bumblebee, guard the Allspark! I'll hold off Megatron!"

"But we're repair bots!" Bumblebee protested as he opened the hatch to the cargo bay. "We're not programmed for this kind of action!"

"Then consider this an upgrade," Optimus responded. He grabbed a pair of handles at his console, causing a pair of manipulators to emerge from on top of the Orion. He fiddled with the sticks, trying to dislodge Megatron, when all of a sudden…

BOOM!

Something on Megatron exploded, causing the ship to careen downwards.

In the Nemesis' airlock, Starscream gazed at his handiwork excitedly. From the look of things, only a single servo of Megatron's remained, grasping onto the small vessel's hull as it lacked the processor to tell it to let go. He pumped a servo in the air. "YES!"

He then composed himself and began walking back to the bridge. "Right. Solemn face, solemn face…"

"Warning: hull breach. Sealing hatches Alpha, Omega, and Epsilon." As Teletraan 1 made its report, sheets of metal covered up the holes in the ship, and fire extinguishers emerged from the walls and shot their contents at the flames.

This did little to slow the Orion. "Warning: planetary impact imminent."

Optimus grasped his console. "Go to manual override!"

"Can you even do that?" Prowl asked with a raised optical ridge.

A control yoke emerged from the console. Optimus grabbed the handles and pulled back, desperately trying to avoid crashing into the asteroid. Miraculously, the ship leveled out just a few meters above the asteroid's surface, but now they were approaching a familiar twin-pronged structure.

In the cargo bay, the Allspark began to glow brighter and brighter.

"Hey, what's that thing doing?" Bumblebee asked in confusion.

The box suddenly enveloped the Orion in bright blue energy, accelerating it…

…directly through the spacebridge.

On the Nemesis' bridge, Starscream watched as the spacebridge was torn apart by the Allspark's energy. Of course, he had other, more pressing concerns.

"This is a dark day in Decepticon history," the Seeker said with feigned lament. "May the legacy of our fallen leader Megatron live on in our memory cores for all eternity.

"As I appoint myself new leader, I solemnly pledge to-" He turned around and noticed that there were exactly zero other Decepticons with him. "Where's everybody gone?!"

Escape pods jetted out from the Nemesis, carrying Decepticons who were unwilling to allow their sparks to be extinguished by the failing spacebridge.

Turning back to the explosion, Starscream noticed it was getting closer.

Rather uncomfortably close.

He screamed to the stars as the fireball engulfed the Nemesis.

The Orion and its crew emerged from the spacebridge in orbit above a blue and green planet.

Optimus pushed himself up from his console and turned to the crewmembers on the bridge. "Prowl, Ratchet, is everyone alright?" He then keyed his console. "Bulkhead, Bumblebee, report!" A massive gray hand then grabbed the Prime's shoulder, before slamming him into a wall.

"The Allspark… where is it?!" Megatron demanded. Prowl and Ratchet tried to come to their commander's aid, but Megatron, even with only one arm, easily dispatched them. He laid a massive foot on Prowl's chest and held Optimus against another wall in a chokehold. "I grow impatient."

Optimus, rather than answering, fired a grapple hook at a switch on his console. "Artificial gravity disabled." As everyone began to float, Optimus slammed his feet against Megatron and shoved him away.

"Good thinking, Prime!" Ratchet complimented. "Putting us on equal footing, so to speak."

As Optimus reached behind his back, Ratchet magnetized to the ceiling, and Megatron hooked the frame for his mangled arm into a small crevice in the ship.

Bumblebee then floated in, flailing his arms about in the lack of gravity. "Hey, who turned off the- ow!"

Bulkhead followed shortly after, his much larger mass sending Bumblebee flying. "Sorry, my bad." The yellow bot found himself tumbling…

…into Megatron's foot.

"Know what? You're even uglier from this angle," Bumblebee remarked, perhaps unwisely. Megatron narrowed his optics with a growl, before pulling a massive sword from behind his back. The yellow bot found himself trying to dodge the rapid swipes. "Scarier, too!"

Scratch that, definitely unwisely.

Optimus anchored his axe into another wall. "Everyone, position for a concentrated attack on my signal."

Prowl, however, seemingly ignored Optimus, and jetted towards Megatron's back.

"Prowl, no! Wait for my signal!" Optimus yelled, grasping at Prowl's ankle only to realize it was a holographic Prowl. Megatron didn't get the memo, however, and swiped at the hologram, dissipating it. The real Prowl then jetted up behind the Decepticon and slashed through his framework with a throwing star.

As Megatron floated away, Optimus was annoyed. "Okay, the decoy was a nice touch, but once again a little warning would've helped."

Bulkhead then found himself blundering through the air, slamming into Optimus' back.

Again, Optimus was annoyed. "Would it kill you bots to say something like 'heads up' or, I don't know, 'watch out' or-"

"INCOMING!" Ratchet suddenly bellowed. He magnetized a piece of debris and tossed it at Megatron…

…sending the Decepticon into the control console.

The Orion suddenly rocketed into the planet's atmosphere, sending the crew flying backward. As the flames of atmospheric entry ignited around the vessel, Optimus slammed into a crate in the cargo bay. He struggled to get up, but a massive black foot slammed into his chest.

"Now bring me the Allspark," Megatron demanded, "and I may spare you miserable Autobot lives."

Optimus refused to break.

Megatron saw this. He swung his sword at the Prime, who just barely parried it with his axe. Optimus strained against the Decepticon's strength, before a blue glow illuminated the cargo bay, drawing Megatron's attention.

Optimus took advantage of Megatron's momentary distraction, extending his axe's handle into a control panel.

"Warning: docking tunnel deployed."

As the tube extended outwards from the flaming spaceship, the rush of air drew the two combatants out of the cargo bay and into the tunnel. Megatron tried to grab the doorway, but Optimus slammed into him, knocking him loose. The Prime then dug his axe into the wall. The Decepticon tried to grab at Optimus, but the captain kicked him clear of the tube and clear to his fiery death.

In the small town of Paw Paw, Michigan, a pudgy boy with beady eyes and black hair tinkered with a small robot arm. The sound of something hitting the ground hard then broke his attention.

It sounded close.

He got up, grabbed a flashlight, and walked down the stairs and out of his house towards the mysterious object. He'd always wanted to meet aliens. Maybe this was his chance.

A half-hour's jog later, the boy came across the impact trail. He expected a meteor, or perhaps even a UFO. But as he raised his flashlight, what he saw jarred him.

It was a giant, severed robot head.

-

"Warning: planetary impact imminent."

The Orion careened over what looked like a city. Optimus stowed his axe and opened the door to a rarely-used bay. "Everyone to the stasis pods."

As the pods opened their canopies and the crewmembers hopped in, Bumblebee turned to the captain. "What about you?"

"Not until I've steered us clear of this populated sector!" Optimus responded from the yoke. He yanked on the handles, eventually managing to direct the ship over the buildings and towards a nearby lake. Confident that he wasn't ruining anybot else's day, he entered his pod and allowed it to close.

The Orion crashed into the water, and began to sink.

"Initiating emergency stasis mode," Teletraan 1 announced as the pods' windowscreens went opaque.

AN: And that is the prologue done!

A little question you may be asking yourself: why am I not doing another Halo or Avatar crossover? Well, the answer to that is I don't want to retread the same storylines over and over again to fill some sort of imaginary story quota. Yes, Halo has all sorts of stories, but I think it's best if I focus on maintaining my focus on one of those stories at the moment. As for Avatar, well… I'm sure those of you who are reading my other fic know what I mean.

Anyway, this story will focus on Spider-Man's adventures in Detroit, which is replacing New York as his hometown, as well as the Autobots as they aid each other along. I'm honestly wondering how this story will be received.

As for interactions, before you ask, I'm not doing any Blackarachnia/Spider-Man romance. Yes, they're both spider-mutants, but I ultimately want to keep Peter somewhere familiar, if you know what I mean. I will say, though, that their dynamic may get interesting.

That's all I have for nows, so here's the Discord code for those of you who have read this far: gC4QKrHDf3

Anyway, fave, follow, and review. The last one helps me get better, so do that please.

This is Believer218, signing off.
