One Night as a Princess

Ash Ketchum, the Crown Prince of Kanto, can be described by many with these words, "Enigmatic", "Withdrawn", "Pensive". Ever since he has come of age at twenty-one, he has kept himself confined to his chambers, seen only by the King and Queen, his retainers, and Chief Minister Oak. He has also refused to consider taking a wife, or courting from his many suitors.
After exhausting everyone sent to him by the Kantoan Court, the King of Kanto, Adrian Ketchum, sends out a request to the other kingdoms for eligible suitors of noble birth for his son. In his decree, he sets forth several terms and the notice that the applicants will be selected by the King himself.
First, the suitors must volunteer, and must not be coerced into the journey.
Second, any noblewoman of age, regardless of status, is eligible.
Third, they must come prepared for whatever outcome should happen, be it acceptance or declination.
There are many applications, but nearly all are rejected by the King. However...one application from a minor noblewoman of Kalos piques the King's interest, and he sends for her. This young woman, newly of age, is Serena yvonne. She hopes to escape her confined life at home, and free herself from the many proposals that have come from the local Lord's son, Calem De Xavier.
Now, as she approaches the palace, the Prince privately awaits his newest suitor...
