"Father, how are the chances of the Legion winning the battle of Hoover Dam, it seems to me they could beat the NCR due to having taken Nelson, cottonwood cove and Nipton, it seems concerning to me because if the Legion takes Hoover Dam who knows maybe New Vegas is next."

"Charles, it isn't the Legion that is concerning as much, it is the internal problems we are having in New Vegas. The Kings who we thought were just a gang now have established themselves firmly as some sort of powerful faction in Freeside, Benny had almost stolen the platinum chip right under our noses. The Legion are just a bunch of opportunists, they trade just like the NCR and there roads are safer, these citizens in the NCR and some of our own people say the Legion are savages because they enslave but its just tribals not actual towns. But only if they take New Vegas is when the real problems start happening, they would kill us. If supposedly they were to take hoover dam though I think they would still sell the electricity and water to us because who else could they export to the NCR is their main it's us, even if they think us degenerate they will just blockade New Vegas but we still have NCR customers. So what I think is that even though the NCR holding the Dam is more advantageous for us we can still probably work out a deal with the legion."

"By the way, Charles, I need you to go to the IONV HQ. Some NCR soldiers are stationed there to deal with the harassment of NCR people there. Its becoming a problem where some people aren't visiting New Vegas anymor…..

Before he said anything Charles interrupted him and said "Wouldn't that also be due to the war father."

"Yes son but I'm also thinking about the after effects of the war. If they keep causing damage to NCR property and harassing their tourists their people will never come back."

"True dad anyways I'm gonna put Iris on the pipboy while I get ready."

Charles had gotten up from his bed after finishing his talk with House on the pipboy. It was about 9 am but he was still pretty tired after staying up and managing the finances of most of the institutions of New Vegas.

After getting up and getting himself ready to go to the IONV which was the Intelligence Of New Vegas he called Iris on his pipboy.

"Hey Charles, what is it."

"Just going to the IONV HQ and I just wanted to call you is all, to see how your doing love."

"Just dealing with trying to make sure the programming for the platinum chip we got from Benny applies to all the securitrons."

"And Charles, if you are going to the IONV, be safe. I have not always been the best at certain situations. I know I'm a bit shy and awkward but I'm always here for you. And I know about the time you couldn't move because your cybernetic implants were powered by electricity and when the New Vegas power outages happened you were helpless because your implants made you not move but I learned Charles and made improvements to your implants as now you don't need a powersource and when you were barely able to walk or do anything after the power got back on because you just got those rads as energy when it was off we helped each other and you were out of commission for a bit but you went back stronger as ever. So what I'm trying to say my love is that we are in this together the mistakes we both make we will learn from them together."

"Well that was a long way of saying it love but yeah you can tell me anything and I can tell you anything. And though when the implants couldn't move me it was the worst time of my life having to live on those rads when I was not able to move but I would say it matured me a bit more. Anyways I got to work now I love you Iris."

"I love you too Charles."

Both House and Iris were in hibernation chambers which preserved them and they were able to talk via any computer system in the lucky 38. When the nukes hit Charles was away at a ROBCO business meeting but Iris was sick and stayed and so was able to get in a hibernation chamber with house

Getting ready to go to the IONV Charles got his laser rifle and revolver and went downstairs from his bedroom to the lobby of the lucky 38 which was all rather elegant but there was nobody else except for him and house's securitrons.

There was a tunnel from the lucky 38 to the IONV HQ which had been built around the time of the pre war era when the IONV HQ was one of ROBCO's offices.

The tunnel was behind one of the slot machines in the lobby.

Pulling the slot machine out of the way he went inside the tunnel.

The tunnel was rather dark with no lights but it was a one way path to the IONV HQ.

Once he got out of the tunnel he was in the bottom area of the IONV HQ.

Due to the building being rather old the walls were rather deteriorating and it was dirty and kind of smelled.

Then the IONV leader Ashley Connyn came out to greet him.

The IONV was a rather mysterious group and there front was running security for particular people who paid in Freeside.

There objective was to gather intelligence and whenever they did any dirty work and people saw them they were referred to by the people as the EONV because Charles, Joseph and Karl were well known in Freeside but not in NEw VEgas and since the IONV didn't say their name and just said they worked for NEw VEgas the people just referred to them as the EONV.

"If it isn't my favorite ghoul Charles. What is that smell?"

"Oh stop playing with me Ash, is that anyway to talk to your boss."

"Ok Charles I'm just joking with you but anyways what really brings you here."

"Well House said you needed help with some people harassing NCR citizens,"

"Hmm House, the people here have said that he's just an AI you created and he isn't a real person."

"What does this have to do with anything Ash."

"Oh sorry just rambling anyways what did House tell you about the situation."

"All he told me was that there were people harassing NCR tourists and destroying NCR property and some soldiers are here to address it."

Usually House got his information from his vast securitron network and used the IONV to extract information from certain people or get close to certain people they were guarding and listen to them due to their front being Freeside's security agency where they hired bodyguard for certain prominent people usually NCR traveling through Freeside. And since they were the security agency nobody dared to mess with them with their patch being easily identifiable on their armor but if you hired somebody outside of the IONV agency which the name was just freeside security agency for their front, you would have people attacking people not bodyguards of the security agency because there was no guarantee that the securtions or EONV would go after you if you weren't a bodyguard of the Freeside security agency.

"Well we think it's mostly a group organizing all this because it's happening a lot in certain areas, Charles."

"Ok thanks Ash, I'm gonna call Joseph and Karl and we're gonna organize a meeting on how to deal with this situation with the NCR."

"Oh and Charles I have a random question."

"What is it?"

"I heard from reports that they actually tried fighting you guys at the tops. Why would they do such a stupid thing."

"Have you been to the strip Ash."

"No."

"These people don't know shit. They just gamble and consume really, useful when it comes to funding us but overall they have no knowledge of anything in New Vegas. This is gonna be controversial but Freeside is the heartland of New Vegas not the strip. People in freeside have been through stuff and the people in the strip are just a bunch of mindless drones. And we are the righteous to keep order in Freeside as not to cause further tensions."
"Well i'm glad I haven't been to the strip!"

"Well if you want to have fun then whatever but things are accomplished here not in the Strip."

Once they finished their conversation they organized a meeting in the basement of the IONV HQ and waited for about an hour for everyone to be ready.

Joseph and Karl had just come to the meeting and Charles, Ashley and a 5 NCR soldiers were there to discuss the plan.

And thus Ashley told them of the plan.

"Alright guys so these people, Kings, freeside citizens I don't know are attacking NCR citizens. And I have gotten reports that one of the people attacked are at the followers of the apocalypse camp so Charles of the EONV will check with the 2 other members Karl and Joseph. And if you can spare some NCR soldiers to deal with this situation, New VEgas would greatly appreciate you, Colonel."

" I can spare 2 of my men Corporal James and Private Winston."

"Good then I trust you are fine with Charles leading this mission?"

"It's your city so yes."

"Ok then let the mission commence."
