Episode 294: Crazy As a Lunatone
A couple of days have passed since the whole Deoxys incident in LaRousse City. It didn't take long for Deoxys and Rayquaza making the news, and about whom were trapped in LaRousse City. Sora has gotten calls from Riku, Ash, Ethan, and Rei, asking if they were alright since they were involved, so Sora had assured them that they were and about the situation that occurred.
The group came across a fork in the road, trying to figure out which way they'll be going.
"So which way will you guys go?" Sora asked.
"I think May, Max, and I will take the left," Brendan said.
"Okay, then we'll take the right. We'll keep in touch," Sora said.
"Sure thing, Sora," Brendan said.
"Hopefully, we'll see you later," May said.
"You too," Kairi said.
"So it's only bye for now," Lisia said.
"Seems like it to me," Brendan said.
"Just keep your eyes opened for some Heartless, Nobodies, or Nobodies," Max said.
"You do the same thing," Sora said.
"Pikachu," Pikachu said.
"Pikachu," Xipak said.
With that said, the group has broken off into two smaller groups and continued on their separate ways.
Shortly after separating from Brendan, May, and Max, Sora, Kairi, Lisia, Pikachu, Angel, Xipak, and Celeste have gotten an expected encounter with Unversed. The Unversed were Floods, Scrappers, Brusiers, Archravens, Red Chilis, Yellow Mistards, Blue Sea Salts, Turtletoads, and a new Unversed.
It is a monstrous Unversed that resembles a large toad. Its main body is blue with a pink stomach and a purple shell covered with black spikes featuring red tips. Its Unversed symbol is on its face, where it has a pair of black stalk-eyes with red horizontal slit eyes, as well as a wide mouth with a purple tongue. On the sides of its face are a pair of noodle-shaped whiskers that end in a pink loop with three spikes at its tip. Its four legs are raindrop shaped and have a black diamond shaped pattern near the feet. These Unversed are Spiked Turtletoads.
The Scrappers slashed at Xipak, but he uses Thunderbolt to shock it and destroyed it. Another one comes at him, so Pikachu uses Thunderbolt on it, taking it out. Sora swings his Kingdom Key at the Unversed, taking them out.
The Turtletoads and Spiked Turtletoads swats at Sora, Kairi, and the Pokémon with their feelers, smacking them. Kairi casts a crystal spell, hitting one of the Turtletoads as Sora slashed at one of the Spiked Turtletoads, taking it out.
The Red Chilis unleashed their flames as the Blue Sea Salts unleashed their ice, and the Yellow Mustards have unleashed their lightning, so Angel and Celeste fired their Swift, hitting the colorful Unversed.
The Archravens flew down at the couple, so Sora casts an aero spell, blowing the crow-like Unversed in it, and then Kairi casts a crystal thunder spell, hitting them.
"Your crystal magic gets even more awesome than ever, Kairi," Sora said.
"Thank you, Sora. But there's more I wanted practice with!" Kairi said, casting a crystal blizzard spell. Kairi then casts her crystal fire spell, burning the Unversed in it. Sora threw his Keyblade at the Floods, taking them out as Pikachu and Angel does a combo Quick Attack, hitting a Turtletoad in the face as Xipak and Celeste does the same thing, hitting a Spiked Turtletoad.
The fight with the Unversed continues until the last of the Unversed were destroyed. Sora and Kairi dismissed their Keyblades and panted.
"Man, those Unversed have taken a lot out me," Sora said, panting.
"Me too. I think I drained most of my magic energy," Kairi said, panting.
"But at least that they're gone," Lisia said.
"I couldn't agree with you more, Lisia, because I don't want to think about what might happen if we get Heartless or Nobodies coming right no-" Kairi said before Sora placed his hand over his girlfriend's mouth.
"Don't jinx it, Kairi. We don't need any more monsters jumping out of nowhere, please," Sora said. Knowing her boyfriend was right, she nodded in agreement. Sora removed his hand from her mouth. He then fell on his rump. "I don't think I can move my legs after that fighting we just did."
"I feel the same way," Kairi said, falling on her hands and knees. "I think we should rest our feet until we're a hundred percent."
They rested and waited for their energy to build back their energy and resumed on their journey an hour later. As they walked they saw Ethan, Kris, Lyra, Typhlosion, Wani-Wani, and Marill standing by a tree with a flock of Swablu and Altaria flying out.
"Wani-Wani! Use Aqua Tail!" Kris ordered. Wani-Wani swung his tail, hitting an Altaria. Kris took out a Pokéball and threw it. The Altaria flows inside and the Pokéball wobbles around and around. Stars swirls around the Pokéball to confirm. Kris approached the Pokéball and picked it up. "I have an Altaria!"
"Marill! Use Play Rough!" Lyra ordered. Marill jumped at a Swablu and gave it a series of beatings, resulting in a knockout. Lyra took out a Pokéball and threw it. Swablu flowed inside and the Pokéball wobbles around and around. Stars swirls around the Pokéball to confirm the catch. "Yay! I caught a Swablu!"
"Typhlosion! Flamethrower!" Ethan ordered. Typhlosion fired a Flamethrower, but missed completely as the Swablu and Altaria flew away. "Aw, man! They got away." Kris went up to her boyfriend and hugged him from behind.
"Don't feel good, Ethy. You'll do better the next time. The Kecleon you caught is cute, and the Absol you caught is rather pretty," Kris said. This made Ethan blush, especially the pet name she gave him.
"Thanks, Kris," Ethan said.
"Oh, how cute," Lyra said.
"Marill," Marill said. Her ears perked up and saw Sora, Kairi, Lisia, Pikachu, Angel, Xipak, and Celeste. "Marill! Marill!" Lyra looked at the Aqua Mouse Pokémon. Before she could ask what she was getting excited about, she saw her friends.
"Sora, Kairi, Lisia!" Lyra exclaimed, grabbing Ethan and Kris's attention. Their faces lit up.
"Hey! How long have you been standing there?" Ethan asked.
"Long enough," Sora said.
"We see that you caught an Altaria and a Swablu," Lisia said.
"That's right. I figured I'd get myself an adorable Altaria since they're known to be beautiful singers, and I think I'll my new Altaria 'Aria'. Don't you think it's a pretty name?" Kris asked.
"I think it is," Kairi said.
"Eevee," Angel said.
"Vee, Eevee," Celeste said.
"So what brings you here?" Ethan asked.
"We were just passing by when we bumped into you. And it makes me glad that we did," Sora said.
"Pikachu!" Pikachu said.
"Pikachu," Xipak said.
Ethan, Kris, Lyra, and Marill joined Sora, Kairi, Lisia, Pikachu, Angel, Xipak, and Celeste and decided to travel with them for a while.
Meanwhile, out in space, a meteor falls right down to earth and right in the mountains. Just then, two people are holding flashlights. One is a man with green hair and a woman with purple hair. They both wore shades and wore black jumpsuits with red streaks. The woman was carrying a briefcase.
"Looks like the meteorite landed right around here," the man said.
"I agree. Let's go!" The woman said.
"Activate the Mystery Pokémon device," the man said.
"Okay," the woman said, putting the briefcase down before opening it. They build some sort of machine. It has three wheels on each side and large three-digit hands. They drove the massive machine to where the meteor has landed. The machine lets out a small searchlight and they found the meteor.
"And there it is. Perfect. Mary, the missile now!" The man said.
"Missile launching!" Mary shouted, firing a couple of missiles at the meteor. The meteor's remains gives off a light blue glow. The man chuckled. "Look at that glow." What came out is a Lunatone glowing in a light blue aura.
"That has to be a Pokémon from outer space! Let's catch it!" The man said.
"Right away!" The woman agreed, activating the arms to grab the moon-shaped Meteorite Pokémon, but it dodged the hands. Lunatone uses Psychic on the machine, lifting it up.
"That Pokémon is really strong! Fire the Capture Beam, quickly!" The man said.
"Okay!" Mary said, firing electricity at the Meteorite Pokémon, dealing some damage. The machine.
"Bullseye. Continue running down its energy," the man said.
"This mystery Pokémon will be ours," Mary said.
As Lunatone is being zapped by the electricity, Lunatone's eyes gave off a crimson glow, blinding the both of them. They end up being in a trance. Lunatone then retreats for the nearest village to escape its pursuers. The village is Volley Town.
Meanwhile, on the next morning, Sora, Kairi, Ethan, Kris, Lyra, Lisia, Pikachu, Angel, Xipak, Celeste, and Marill continue on their way towards Mossdeep City, but to get there, they'll have to take a ferry in Lilycove City.
"It looks like the next stop is Volley Town," Lyra said.
"Oh, I can use a hot bath at the Pokémon Center," Kris said.
"Me too. Angel, Pikachu, Xipak, and Celeste could use a rest," Kairi said.
"And we can buy some supplies like some food and medicine," Sora said.
"Good idea, Sora, because we're running low, and we can't rely on our magic forever," Ethan said.
"Yeah, you're right. We should be almost there," Sora said.
"Pikachu," Pikachu and Xipak said.
"Eevee," Angel and Celeste said.
Meanwhile, a Pokémon Hunter is driving by in a huge truck. He is wearing a brown trench coat, hat, and boots. He also wore a dark gray shirt and brown pants. Sitting on his shoulder is a Chatot. His radar goes off.
"Look at that! A strong psychic reading! And that could only come from a an extremely rare Pokémon. A rare Pokémon has got to be somewhere nearby," the Pokémon Hunter said.
"Somewhere nearby. Somewhere nearby," Chatot repeated.
"And this is where you come in, Chatot. Your job is to fly around the area and report back once you see what it is. And that makes you my eyes in the sky," the Pokémon Hunter said.
"Eyes in the sky. Eyes in the sky," Chatot repeated, flying off. With that said, Chatot flew off to find the source of the psychic reading.
As the sun was setting, the group have arrived to Volley Town and they have saw that it greatly looked like a ghost town.
"Volley Town is sure is quiet," Ethan said.
"A bit too quiet for my taste," Lisia said.
"There's no way that everyone goes to bed early here," Lyra said.
"Marill," Marill said.
"We better head for the Pokémon Center and see if Nurse Joy would know what's going on," Sora said.
"Right," Kairi, Ethan, Kris, Lyra, and Lisia agreed.
The group ventured through the town and looked around, knowing something was up. They didn't know if it could be Heartless, Nobodies, or Unversed in the area, so they stayed on high alert. They arrived to the Pokémon Center and stepped inside. And they saw the whole place was empty.
"Hello, anyone home?" Sora asked.
"We'd like some assistance please!" Kairi said.
"Pika!" Pikachu said.
"Eevee!" Angel said.
"Where is everyone?" Ethan asked.
"Maybe we should wait in the lobby until Nurse Joy gets here," Lyra suggested.
"Good idea," Sora said.
They heard the sound of a door opening. They saw Nurse Joy stepping at the counter.
"Hello," Nurse Joy said in a trance. "What is it that you want?"
"Um, we would like to have our Pokémon checked up if it's not too much trouble," Sora said.
"I'm sorry. Not today," Nurse Joy said in the same tone. They looked at her strangely. "Equipment has broken down."
"This totally weird," Sora said.
"Is there a way to check into a room to rest for the night?" Kairi asked.
"I'm sorry. Completely booked up," Nurse Joy said, heading back to the door. She shuts the door. The group leaves the Pokémon Center, trying to figure out what was going on.
"Is anyone picking up on how weird it was?" Sora asked.
"I thought it was odd that Nurse Joy just shut us out like that," Kris said.
"Yeah, she was talking like she was a total zombie," Ethan said. Lisia gasped.
"Wait a minute, what if that wasn't the real Nurse Joy in there?" Lisia asked. Sora, Kairi, Ethan, Kris, Lyra, and the Pokémon all looked at her.
"What are you getting at, Lisia?" Ethan asked.
"You guys are right about how strange it was back in the Pokémon Center, so I thought maybe it might have been a Heartless disguising herself as Nurse Joy or it could be Organization XIII up to their nasty tricks again," Lisia said.
"Are you sure about that, Lisia?" Kairi asked.
"Well, I'm hoping that I'm wrong, but I can't shake that awful feeling I'm having," Lisia said.
"You know, you might be right, Lisia. After what happened back in Rustboro City, it wouldn't surprise me if the Organization is at it again. But if it was them, don't you think they would have already sprung their trap?" Sora asked.
"You have a point, Sora. But I think the Organization might think that we're letting down our guard and wait until they think the moment's right," Ethan said.
"Whatever the scenario, we gotta make a plan of attack," Sora said.
"Right," everyone nodded in agreement.
"How about we discuss our battle plan over dinner?" Lyra suggested.
"Good thinking, Lyra, because I was starting to get hungry," Kris said.
"Me too," Lisia said.
With that said, the group sat down to eat and go over their plan of attack. Kairi has made some macaroni and cheese for everyone. Sora, Kairi, Ethan, Kris, and Lyra have let out their other Pokémon to eat their Pokémon food.
Lombre was eating some Pokémon food and then got up and wandered off. Sora paused from eating when he saw Lombre gone.
"Oh no!" Sora exclaimed.
"What's wrong, Sora?" Kairi asked.
"It's Lombre! He's gone!" Sora said.
"Where could he have gone?" Kris asked.
"Hopefully, not too far," Kairi said.
"Lombre shouldn't be wondering off with those monsters out on the loose," Lisia said.
"Well, we better find him before they do," Sora said. They stood up and started to look for Lombre.
Speaking of which, the Jolly Pokémon is walking as he heard rustling in the bushes. He stopped. Just them, two individuals jumped out of the nearby bushes and grabbed Lombre by the arms. They were wearing strange-looking helmets.
"I got it!" The man and woman said, holding Lombre by the arms. The group came running up.
"Hey! Let go of my Lombre and go find your own!" Sora demanded.
"This is an extraterrestrial Pokémon that we found!" The man argued.
"No, it's not! That's a Lombre! And that's my Lombre!" Sora argued back.
"Impossible!" The man shouted. He turned to his colleague. "Dexter!"
"Right away!" The woman said, taking out her Rotom Phone and scanned it.

Lombre can be seen wondering around. Some people often mistook this Pokémon for a human child.
"Lombre," Lombre said. Sora called his Lombre back inside.
"I have a feeling I've seen them before. I just can't remember," Ethan said, stroking his chin.
"What are you doing?" Sora asked.
"And who are you?" Kairi asked.
"Wherever there is mystery in the world..." The man said.
"There will also be Pokemon to be found there, as well!" The woman said.
"And we'll be there, too!" The man said.
"The Pokémon Mystery Club!" The woman said.
"P! M! C!" The man and woman spelled, removing their helmets.
"I'm Ken!"
"Mary!"
"Just to be clear, it stands for Pokémon Mystery Club. We're a Pokémon research organization with a worldwide network," Ken finished. Ethan deadpanned.
"I thought I recognized you. You're those two lame-o clowns I met before," Ethan said. Ken and Mary did an anime-style fall.
"Lame-o clowns?!" Ken barked.
"How dare you call us that! We are not clowns!" Mary exclaimed.
"Yeah, you're right about that. To be clowns, you gotta be funny, and you're not even. lose to being funny," Ethan said.
"We still haven't forgotten what you did to us!" Ken said.
"But I doubt you forgot the lesson I thought you!" Ethan said.
"You know these two?" Sora asked.
"Unfortunately, yeah. It was a little while before my Gym battle in Blackthron City. They tried to capture a Cleffa that appeared from out of the blue. Typhlosion and I barbecued these two like hotdogs, but why are they even here?" Ethan asked.
"To answer your question, we're here to find extraterrestrial Pokémon, of course. We believe that Pokémon from different planets came to Earth, riding on flaming comets. We were examining a mysterious meteorite that recently crash landed," Ken said.
"And now, something mysterious has happened to our memories, and we can't seem to remember what happened," Mary said. The group gasped at the claim.
"You seriously can't remember anything after that?" Sora asked.
"No, nothing. A space Pokémon's shock wave must have erased our memories," Ken said.
"And our research shows that the same shock waves must have erased the memories of the villagers as well," Mary said.
"These anti-shock helmets shall protect us. Big time," Ken said. He and Mary placed their helmets back on.
"Success in catching that mysterious is ours!" Mary said.
"Onward and upward!" Ken said as he an Mary ran off.
"Man, I can see why you never mentioned them before. They remind me of the Moron Trio, but weirder," Sora said.
"Worry about that later, because I'm concerned about what those two said earlier. They mentioned about being hit by some shock wave," Kairi said.
"You know, you're right, Kairi. It does explain why Nurse Joy was acting weird before. She had to be under a Pokémon's hypnosis," Ethan said.
"And not just her, but everyone else in the whole village. That also explain why we didn't even see anyone when we came to town earlier," Lisia said.
"And that puts the kibosh on that Organization XIII theory," Kris said.
"Thank goodness for that," Lisia said.
"If there is a mysterious Pokémon around here, then we gotta find out what we're dealing with and get to it before those two stooges get to it," Ethan said.
"Ethan's right. Let's go," Sora said.
With that said, the group called back their Pokémon and headed for the Pokémon Center to get to the bottom of these strange happenings. Unknown to them, Chatot was listening on their talk.
"Mysterious Pokémon. Space Pokémon," Chatot said, flying and following them.
They made it to the Pokémon Center, crouching down.
"Okay, guys. We don't know what kind of Pokémon we're dealing with, so be ready for anything that comes our way. But be careful, because it might affect us with its Hypnosis," Sora said.
"Right," Kairi, Ethan, Kris, and Lyra said.
"Okay, and we're off," Sora said.
With that said, Sora, Kairi, Ethan, Kris, Lyra, Lisia, Pikachu, Angel, Xipak, Celeste, and Marill head for the Pokémon Center and right in the door. They snuck around and looked around.
"I don't see anything," Lyra said.
"Marill," Marill said.
"Doesn't mean that there's nothing here," Kairi said.
"I'm with her. It should be around here," Kris said.
"Yeah, but it doesn't mean it'll pop out from any moment," Ethan said.
Just then, Heartless appeared right in from of them.
One kind of Heartless has a green head and yellow eyes. They wore silver spacesuits and carried a laser gun. They Heartless symbol is located on their foreheads. These are known as Space Invaders.
Another kind of Heartless are dark blue in color with a black top and they're shaped like UFOs and they had the Heartless emblem on the front. These shall be dubbed as the Flying Saucers.
Another is a large red alien-like Heartless. It has large rows of teeth and a short tail. These Heartless have yellow eyes and large clawed hands. The Heartless emblem is located on their chests. These are known as the Bulk Martians.
"Heartless!" Lisia gasped.
"Alien-themed Heartless," Ethan said.
"Take them out!" Sora said.
Sora, Kairi, Ethan, Kris, and Lyra summoned their Keyblades. The Flying Saucers fired at their lasers as the Bulk Martians rushed at them with their claws. The Space Invaders fired their lasers at the Keyblade wielders, but they used their Keyblades to reflect their lasers back at them. Xipak uses an Iron Tail at a Space Invader, destroying it as Pikachu uses Thunderbolt on a Bulk Martian. Angel and Celeste avoids the Flying Saucers' laser fire as Marill fired a Water Gun, hitting one of the Flying Saucers. Angel and Celeste then use a combo Headbutt on a Bulk Martian, taking it out. Ethan hurls his Heart Gold Ho-Oh at the Space Invaders, taking them out. Kris casts her music spell, hitting the Bulk Martians. Kairi casts her magnet spell to pull in some of the Heartless and she casts a thunder spell to destroy them. Sora struck down some of the Space Invaders and Bulk Martians as a Flying Saucer came flying at Sora, but he jumps and struck it down. The last of the alien-themed Heartless were destroyed.
"Just like those Heartless to show up when nobody wanted them around," Lyra said.
"Who's there?" A zombified tone voice spoke.
"It's Nurse Joy!" Kairi gasped.
"Quickly! Hide!" Sora said.
With that said, the group ran for the storage room. Ethan shuts the door behind him once everyone was inside.
"That was close," Ethan panted.
"We would have been caught for sure," Lyra said.
"Marill," Marill said.
"At least we're safe. For now," Ethan said. Just then, a rustling sound is heard.
"You had to say it, didn't you?" Sora deadpanned.
"Sorry," Ethan apologized.
"Where's that flashlight?" Kris asked, checking her backpack. She flashed it ahead of her. She moved it around and it shined right on Lunatone.
"What the?! It's a Lunatone," Sora said.
"Oh, so you're what all the fuss was about?" Lyra asked, approaching Lunatone, but its eyes glowed again.
"Lyra, what's wrong?" Sora asked. Lyra turned around with her eyes being red.
"All of you, get out now," Lyra said in a hypnotic tone.
"Lyra, snap out of it!" Ethan said. Marill fired Water Gun in Lyra's face, snapping her out of her trance.
"What happened?" Lyra asked.
"Well, you briefly turned into a zombie," Ethan said.
"Well, that makes sense. Lunatone can use Hypnosis," Lisia said.
"The question is why is Lunatone doing this?" Kris asked.
"I think I got an idea," Kairi said. Everyone looked at her.
"What?" Sora asked.
"I think Lunatone is scared," Kairi said.
"That's a good theory, but scared of what?" Sora asked.
Just then, the light turned on and Nurse Joy walked in, still in her trance.
"You should be nicer to Lunatone. You all must leave at once," Nurse Joy said.
"Wait, you don't understand," Lisia said. Ethan gets an idea.
"Marill, do what you did for Lyra before. Your Water Gun is what snapped Lyra out of it, and it'll do the same for Nurse Joy," Ethan whispered into the Aqua Mouse Pokémon's ears.
"Marill," Marill nodded. "Marill!" Marill took in a deep breath and fired Water Gun into Nurse Joy's face, snapping her out of her trance.
"What is the meaning of this?! Just what do you think you're doing?!" Nurse Joy asked in her normal tone of voice. She then looked around in the storage room. "Come to think of it, what am I doing? And when did I get in here?"
"She's back," Sora said.
"Yes, I'm back, but where did I go?" Nurse Joy asked.
"Let's just say, your lights were on, but you weren't home," Sora said, earning a puzzled look on the nurse's face.
"Sorry about that. It's just, your mind was being controlled by a Lunatone until just now," Ethan said.
"A Lunatone? How is that even possible?" Nurse Joy asked.
"Just look," Ethan said, pointing to the moon-shaped Meteorite Pokémon. Nurse Joy gasped when she saw it with her own eyes.
"Lu," Lunatone weakly said, coming down.
"Hey, Lunatone, you okay?" Sora asked.
"Lunatone doesn't look so good," Ethan said.
"Wait, you don't think those two were after Lunatone, do you?" Kris asked.
"It makes sense since Lunatone came from outer space. And I can bet my hat on the fact they were the ones who attacked Lunatone, explaining why it's scared in the first place," Ethan said.
"Maybe if we can have a look at Lunatone's info," Lyra said, taking out her Rotom Phone to get some info on Lunatone from the PokéDex app.
Lunatone, the Meteorite Pokémon
Type: Rock/Psychic
Lunatone was first discovered when a meteorite struck down on the earth's surface. When its energy is low, it regains its strength from under the moonlight.
"Moonlight! That's it! Lunatone needs moonlight," Lyra said.
"And I think Lunatone was controlling everyone in the village was because it was scared until the moon came out," Kairi said.
"I can understand why it's really scared," Nurse Joy said.
"It makes sense now," Lisia said.
Outside, Chatot was listening on their conversation and flew out the door and flew around. Chatot found the Pokémon Hunter, waiting for it to come back.
"Good to see you came back. What are we after, my little, feathered friend?" The Pokémon Hunter asked.
"Mysterious Pokémon. Space Pokémon. Lunatone. Lunatone. Lunatone.
Nurse Joy took Lunatone to the counter and does an analysis on Lunatone. When its energy is low, it regains its strength from under the moonlight," Chatot repeated some of the sentences it heard.
"A Lunatone! An extraterrestrial Pokémon means big money! I knew I could count on you, Chatot. You did an excellent job," the Pokémon Hunter said. He chuckled. "And if Lunatone needs moonlight, then I have just the tools for the job." He chuckled again.
Back to the Pokémon Center, the group stood over Lunatone, filled with concern.
"Lunatone doesn't look so good," Kris said.
"There's gotta be something we can do to help," Sora said.
"What do you think, Nurse Joy?" Lisia asked.
"Lunatone will feel much better after taking its medicine, but its energy has dropped to a serious level," Nurse Joy said.
"The information from the PokéDex said that Lunatone replenishes its energy from moonlight," Kairi said.
"That's true. It should recover once it sees the light of a full moon," Nurse Joy said.
"You know when the next full moon is going to be?" Ethan asked.
"It's a full moon tonight," Nurse Joy said.
"That works out for us," Lisia said.
"Lunatone will be okay," Lyra said.
"Marill, Marill," Marill said.
"There's just one problem. You can't see the full moon from Volley Town," Nurse Joy said. The group gasped.
"Why not?" Sora asked.
"Volley Town's surrounded all around by high mountains and very steep cliffs," Nurse Joy said.
"That is a problem," Kairi said.
"Isn't there anything else we can take it?" Kris asked.
"There is a place called 'Camerupt Point' which is located right in the edge of town," Nurse Joy said.
"Then we should take it there," Sora said.
"Yes! There are two humps raising up like Camerupt tumps! And just beyond them, you can see the moon!" Nurse Joy said.
"Then we'll have to get Lunatone right to Camerupt point," Lisia said.
"Yeah, but'll be easier said than done, because those PMC jokers are still out there, so we'll have to be sneaky about getting Lunatone out of here," Ethan said.
"Ethan's right. We're gonna need something to hide Lunatone and get it to Camerupt Point," Sora stroked his chin.
After coming up with an idea, they hid Lunatone in a cardboard box and placed it on a cart, and pushed it up towards the mountain pass. Pikachu, Angel, Xipak, Celeste, and Marill were placed inside with it. They kept their eyes opened for any signs of the PMC.
"This was a great idea, Sora," Nurse Joy said.
"As long as we take it easy, everything should be fine," Sora said.
"Guys, how's Lunatone in there?" Ethan asked.
"Pika, Pika," Pikachu said.
"Eevee, vee," Angel said.
"Pika," Xipak said.
"Vee, Eevee," Celeste said.
"Marill," Marill said.
They kept pushing the cart right until the PMC arrived right in front of them.
"Stop right there!" Ken and Mary said, making them stop.
"I don't suppose you've seen some Pokémon from outer space lurking around here, have you?" Ken asked.
"Pokémon from space, you say?" Lya asked, playing dumb.
"Gee, I hope not," Kris said.
"I never even heard of such a thing," Lisia said.
"Alright, then," Ken said.
"What is that you're pulling there?" Mary asked.
"It's full moon tonight, so we thought we'd have ourselves a moon party. Plenty of snacks and drinks inside," Sora said.
"Yeah, that's right," the girls all said.
"Let's a move on, because everybody's getting impatient," Sora said.
"Right," the group all said as they proceeded to push the cart, but the CMC weren't buying it one little bit.
"You know, for a moon party, there's a lot of snacks and drinks to carry," Ken said.
"I'm detecting a mystery," Mary said.
"And there's a Pokémon at the heart of every mystery," Ken said. "Quick! The mystery Pokémon Collector!"
"You got it!" Mary said, putting down her briefcase. They start building their machine.
Up ahead, the group kept pushing the cart through the mountain range. Lyra and Lisia looked back.
"I don't see them following them," Lisia said.
"I guess that means we fooled them," Lyra said.
"Just how much further are we to reach Camerupt Point from here?" Kairi asked.
"As soon as we passed through that valley up ahead, we'll be there in no time," Nurse Joy said.
"Awesome, I can't wait to get there," Ethan said.
They went on a little further and saw two hills resembling a Camerupt's tumps.
"I think that's Camerupt Point dead ahead!" Sora said.
"And no wonder! They do look like a Camerupt's tumps!" Kairi said.
"And we got 15 minutes before the full moon, so let's get going," Nurse Joy said, checking her wristwatch.
They make it up to Camerupt Point in about ten minutes.
"We made it," Kris said.
"Okay, everyone. The coast is clear. Come on out," Lyra said, opening the box. Pikachu, Angel, Xipak, Celeste, Marill, and Lunatone exited from inside. Nurse Joy looked at her wristwatch again.
"We should have a full moon in about 5 minutes," Nurse Joy said.
"This is great, Lunatone," Sora said.
"You'll be feeling a lot better soon," Kairi said.
"Pika," Pikachu said.
"Eevee," Angel said.
Up above, a Skarmory is flying above and flew down at Lunatone. Hearing the Armor Bird Pokémon, Xipak quickly turned and fired a Thunderbolt, hitting it.
"Pika!" Xipak shouted. Everyone turned to see the injured Skarmory flying.
"A Skarmory? Where did it come from?" Ethan asked.
Just then, the truck drove up in front of the group.
"Hey, who's in there?!" Sora exclaimed. The truck opened and the Pokémon Hunter and his Chatot got out.
"Someone who has an interest in that Lunatone, that's who!" The Pokémon Hunter said.
"Lunatone, Lunatone," Chatot said.
"He's a Pokémon Hunter," Kairi gasped.
"You're not getting this Lunatone!" Ethan said.
"Oh, no? And how are you going to stop me?" The Pokémon Hunter taunted, taking out a Dive Ball and threw it. "Gyarados! Go!" His Dive Ball opened and a Gyarados emerged from inside. "Get that Lunatone, Gyarados!" The Atrocious Pokémon proceeds to grab Lunatone when a mechanical hand comes and grabs Gyarados by the throat. "Hey, what the?!"
The PMC came driving in with their machine.
"The mystery is over! The destiny of that Lunatone is to be with us!" Ken said.
"Just like all mysterious space Pokémon are meant to be!" Mary said.
"It's them again!" Ethan exclaimed in annoyance.
"I don't know who you think you are, but the destiny of that Lunatone is being sold to the highest bidder," the Pokémon Hunter said.
"There's no way that we're going to let some greedy Pokémon Hunter get in our way," Mary said.
"So all mysterious Pokémon belong to us," Ken said.
"Is that so? I'll deal with you two clowns first. Gyarados! Use your Hyper Beam on that machine!" The Pokémon Hunter ordered. Gyarados fired a Hyper Beam at the machine, destroying it completely. Ken and Mary are blown out of it and landed right on the ground hard. "Skarmory! Use your Steel Wing!" Skarmory swooped down at the PMC, making them run.
"Pikachu, Xipak, you use a double Thunderbolt!" Sora ordered. Pikachu and Xipak fired their Thunderbolt attacks at Skarmory and the PMC, shocking them both. They fell to the ground, unconscious. Sora turned to the Pokémon Hunter. "If you want Lunatone, you're gonna have to go through me first!"
"Okay, kid, if beating you is the fastest way of getting that Lunatone, then I'm going to thrash you and any Pokémon you got. And I'll sell them, too!" The Pokémon Hunter said.
"Not if I got anything to say about it!" Sora said, taking out his Ultra Ball. "Okay, Latios! Go!" His Ultra Ball opened and Latios emerged from inside.
"A Latios! A legendary Pokémon is worth a fortune! I'll get two at the price of one! Gyarados! Use Ice Fang!" The Pokémon Hunter ordered. Gyarados rushes at Latios with an Ice Fang.
"Latios! Dodge and use Dragon Breath!" Sora ordered. Latios fired a Dragon Breath at Gyarados.
"Dodge it and use Dark Pulse!" The Pokémon Hunter ordered. Gyarados fired a Dark Pulse right at the Eon Pokémon.
"Dodge it and use Luster Purge!" Sora ordered. Latios dodged and unleashed a Luster Purge, hitting Gyarados, dealing a lot of damage. The Pokémon Hunter just growled.
"You think you've won, then think again, you spiky-headed runt! Gyarados! Use Scald!" The Pokémon Hunter ordered. Gyarados fired a stream of hot water from its mouth, hitting Latios, burning him.
"Latios!" Sora exclaimed.
"Latios's attacks are weakened during a burn status, so it'll be easy pickings! Gyarados! Use Dark Pulse!" The Pokémon Hunter ordered. Gyarados fired another Dark Pulse right at Latios.
"Dodge it!" Sora called out. Latios flew to dodge, but Gyarados's attack came too quickly for Latios to dodge it. During the battle, the full moon rises and replenishes Lunatone's energy.
"Look! The moon!" Lyra said.
"Lunatone's energy is coming back!" Kairi said.
"Eevee!" Angel said. Lunatone rises up in the air.
Latios has taken some damage from Gyarados's Dark Pulse repeatedly firing.
"That Lunatone and that Latios is good as mine!" The Pokémon Hunter said. Lunatone then floats right next to Latios and light green orbs surrounds its body.
"Look! Lunatone's using Hidden Power!" Nurse Joy said. Lunatone sends it right at the Atrocious Pokémon. The light green orbs explodes upon contact and knocked Gyarados out.
"My Gyarados!" The Pokémon Hunter exclaimed.
"Latios! Use Psychic!" Sora ordered. Latios uses Psychic on both the Pokémon Hunter and on Chatot. "You're not going anywhere."
Just then, the engine of a car is heard and they saw it was Officer Jenny riding in. She stepped out of her police car.
"Is everything alright? I heard there was a commotion, so I came here to investigate," Officer Jenny said.
"Officer Jenny!" Lisia said.
"We just nabbed this Pokémon Hunter for you," Sora said as Latios moves the Pokémon Hunter and his Chatot over to the policewoman.
"Just as I thought. You're under arrest for Pokémon poaching," Officer Jenny said, handcuffing him.
"Along with those two!" Kairi said, pointing to the PMC. Officer Jenny recognized them.
"So it's the Pokémon Mystery Club. I heard of them. They're wanted for menacing, Pokémon poaching, and theft of machinery. They both have active warrants for arrest," Officer Jenny said. Ken and Mary regained consciousness and sat up.
"Is it over?" Mary asked.
"Your days of Pokémon poaching and machinery are," Officer Jenny said. The PMC looked up as Officer Jenny puts handcuffs on their wrists. "You two are under arrest for menacing, Pokémon poaching, and theft of machinery."
"You don't understand!" Ken said.
"We're on a never-ending mission of uncovering the mystery of Pokémon from outer space!" Mary added.
"You can tell that to the judge," Officer Jenny said, dragging them to her police car.
"Officer Jenny, you weren't hypnotized by Lunatone's hypnosis, were you?" Kairi asked.
"So that's what's been going on," Officer Jenny said.
"You mean you weren't affected at all?" Kris asked.
"Not really. I was out on patrol when I got word of Pokémon Hunters in the area, so I've been driving around for hours, getting to the bottom of it. When I arrived back into town, I knew something suspicious was going on, so I had to look into it. The citizens claimed that they had no idea what came over them. When I heard the sound of battling from Camerupt Point, I knew it had to be a battle, and it looks like I was right," Officer Jenny explained.
"Well, we're glad that you came around when you did," Kris said.
"All in a day's work," Officer Jenny said, doing a salute. She stepped in and drove off with her prisoners.
"That Lunatone would have been ours if you hadn't butted in!" Ken said.
"Yeah, this is all your fault! If you just stayed out of it, we wouldn't be in this pickle!" Mary said.
"If you two don't shut up, I'm going to take out my hunting knife and use it to skin you alive!" The Pokémon Hunter threatened. That made the PMC shut up as Officer Jenny drove off.
"It looks like you're safe, Lunatone," Sora said.
"And you can head on home without the fear of being hunted," Kris said.
"We hope you have a safe trip home," Lisia said.
Lunatone beamed and headed straight up to the night sky to where it came from. The whole experience has given them a reminder about how mysterious the world of Pokémon really is and many more mysteries have yet to he answered.
