Suddenly, images flashed in her mind. "Agh! Nnngh!" She grunted, clutching her head as images of Weiss appeared in her head.
"Agh…" She groaned. "Wh-what…?"

Twilight Chiaki turned her head to see Junior approaching her. "Are you okay?"
"Y-yeah, I'm fine, sweetheart. I just had a random headache." She approached him and gently kissed him on the head. "I'm gonna go lie down for a bit. You go back to your studies, okay?"
"Okay!"
Twilight Chiaki walked off, rubbing her head. "What was that all about… why would Weiss invade my head…?"
"Well, at least we know where her priorities lie." Kate said, staring at the list.
Clint stared at Thanos' picture before he pulled it off the corkboard, pulled out a marker and wrote something down before placing it on top.

"My friends, you're back!" Daul said happily.
"You were definitely right about that. We ran into a Seltas and a Seltas Queen and they were rage rayed as well!" Navirou explained. "As we suspected, the monsters started raging because of the light from the pit!"
"That would appear to be the case. I bet that's what made Guardian Ratha lose control…" Ena said. "I've been desperately trying to understand what was happening to him."
"I shudder to think what would have happened if the rage rayed monsters made their way to the village." Daul said.
"We wouldn't have let that happen." Yang said.
"Agreed." Ruby nodded.
Daul smiled. "Well, thanks to all of you, we avoided the worst case scenario. On behalf of Kuan, I thank you."
Navirou smiled. "I knew we'd protect the village!"
Kora nodded. "Yeah!"
"Oh, by the way, I've learned something while you were gone." Ena said. "Apparently, a Felyne spotted Ol' Dede on Snowclad Mt. Lavinia."
Gloria blinked. "Um… lass? We were just there!"
Ena sweatdropped. "Ooops… bad timing, unfortunately…"
"Well, better late than never, right?" Avinia smiled.

Back at Snowclad Mt. Lavinia…
BGM: Snowclad Summit: Lavinia Glacial Peaks (Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin)
"Let's see, he should be around here somewhere…" Avinia said as they went back to the same spot.
"Come on, where could he be?" Navirou wondered.
"Hmm?" Blake turned her head, her ears twitching as she saw steam nearby. "Is that steam over there?"
"Huh? Oh, well what do you know, he's probably enjoying a hot spring!" Navirou smiled. "He's a hot spring aficionado, after all."
"Well, that was easy." Zinnia said as they walked toward the destination, taking out some Baggi that were near a gate before they went through and walked into a cave system, wandering through and taking out a family of Zamite and another Zamtrios that went after them.
They soon made their way out where they saw a stream of water trickling down where they walked up to find a hot spring.
"That's odd, usually you don't find hot springs up in these mountains. I wonder if they could be related to the pits…" Avinia said.
"Oh, knowing Dede, he could have sunk to the bottom of a hot spri-... wait, what was that?" Navirou wondered as they turned around to see a Lagombi ambushing them, letting out a roar.

"I got this one!" Gloria said, calling out her Cinderace.
"Raaaaaace!"
BGM: Arzuros/Lagombi/Volvidon (Monster Hunter Portable 3rd)
The Lagombi got on its hind legs and roared while Cinderace squared up as they both lunged, batting each other with their forearms as the Lagombi tried to bite him in the neck. "Kick him where it hurts!" Gloria ordered as Cinderace kicked the Lagombi square in the crotch as the Lagombi roared in agony, giving Cinderace enough time to do a flip kick and then used Pyro Ball right after.
The Lagombi recovered, digging up a massive snowball and threw it at him but Cinderace used Fire Blast to destroy the snowball, then Cinderace Bounced high into the air, and then came back down with a heel kick, striking the Lagombi in the head.
With an enraged roar, the Lagombi swiped at Cinderace as he quickly weaved around and Double Kicked him in the face. The Lagombi responded by getting on his belly and sliding forward, knocking Cinderace down, surprising him with his speed.
"Race…" Cinderace shook it off and sprang back up as the Lagombi then started rolling… only to turn around and proceeded to roll… uphill.
"Wot…?" Gloria tilted her head in surprise.
"Ooookay, Isaac Newton's definitely rolling in his grave." Mahiru deadpanned, scratching her head before pressing the record button on her camera.
"There's something you don't see every day…" Ruby said.
"Shouldn't it be rolling down by now?" Ven wondered.
"Honestly, I'm not sure." Aqua said, and then the massive snowball turned around and came back down.
"Oh, here it comes." Terra said.
Cinderace got into position, smirking. Once the Lagombi snowball came close, Cinderace ran forward and proceeded to give it a good kick, making the snowball change course and fell off a steep cliff as the Lagombi was heard roaring on the way down… and hitting every rock on the way down before lying motionless on the ground.

"Well… that's… one way to take out a Lagombi." Avinia sweatdropped.
"I'll go get it." Rosalina said as she jumped off the cliff to retrieve it while Gloria and Cinderace high fived each other.
"Remind me to bring you along when we're hunting for a Lagombi." Cardin chuckled as they turned back to the hot springs.
"Now where is he…?" Navirou wondered. "He loves hot springs!"
"I even brought him some steamed moss as a treat…" Avinia said.
Suddenly, a part of the hot spring started to bubble… before a large figure emerged from the hot spring.
"Wah!" Navirou yelped while everyone that wasn't Avinia stared at the creature in surprise. "Oh, there's Dede! I knew he'd be here!"
"That's him…?" Ena wondered.
He's a Goron?! Everyone else, minus Kora, thought.
"Yes. The Wyverian who performs the Rite of Channeling for Riders. He can also bring out a monster's true power." Avinia explained.
Navirou ran up to him. "Ol' Dede, ol' buddy, ol' pal! How's it going, pops?" Navirou smiled. "We've been looking everywhere for you!"
Dede said nothing, but instead pulled his hand out. "Hot spring dumplings."
"Um, well… we brought you some steamed moss!"
"Hot spring dumplings!"
Navirou sweatdropped. "I'm not… sure what you want."
Avinia came forward with a basket filled with steamed moss. "I think these will do the trick, here ya go." She said, placing them down as a few dropped to the ground in front of Kora, Ruby and Gloria.
Dede took the basket… and proceeded to eat it all in one gulp as he tossed the basket behind him. "Mmm. Delish!"
The trio took a bite, and were immediately disgusted by the taste as they dropped it. "Oh Arceus…" Gloria grimaced.
"Star Bits… something to wash it down with… anything!" Ruby begged.
"Oh come on." Yang picked it up and brushed off the snow. "It can't be that bad." She said as she took a bite… and dropped it, immediately disgusted as well. "Uuuugh…" She groaned as she swallowed it. "Blegh…"
"Okay, that's a sign that it's totally disgusting…" Weiss mumbled quietly.
"We have an urgent matter to discuss with you!" Navirou said, only for Dede to sink back underwater. "H-hey, hold on! …Sure, what better time to have a soak. You'll wrinkle like a prune, ya know! Dede, please come out!"
"What's going on?" Rosalina asked as she arrived with the Lagombi corpse. "Oh, are you having a snack?"
"Yeah, but it's gross." Yang said, tossing it to Rosalina.
"Oh, I'm sure it's not that bad." Rosalina said as she took a bite, only to be completely disgusted by what she tasted. She immediately summoned a Star Bit and popped it in her mouth, hoping to enhance the flavor.
Nope… Rosalina thought as she swallowed it. "Well, it's… definitely… got a unique flavoring-"
"You don't like it, do you?" Aqua guessed.
"I do not."
"I dunno…" Zinnia said, after taking a bite. "It's actually quite good if I'm being honest. It's definitely-" She shuddered. "Mmph! There's… the aftertaste…!"
Avinia sweatdropped. You guys are odd…
"Please, Dede. Listen to us!" Ena requested, which Dede rose up from the spring.
"Oh, sure… he won't listen to me, but when it's a cute girl, he's all ears…" Navirou grumbled while Rosalina looked at Dede.
Huh, Gorons travel to a place like this? Hold on, I don't think he's actually a Goron… Rosalina folded her arms, slightly tilting her head with a perplexed expression. …Is he?
One cooked up Lagombi later…
"We need to know if this is actually Razewing Ratha." Ena said, all of them oblivious to Tsukino peeking out from behind a boulder. "But for that, his true power must be awoken."
"Now, let's say I do that for you. Then what, hmmm?"
"If it turns out that his power is cursed, then we'll need to get it sealed." Navirou explained. "Ol' Dede, we heard that you know the way to do that."
"Sure do. However, I am not teaching you that."
Navirou drooped. "Come oooon, don't be like that!"
"Nature should be left alone. Awakening a monster's power just to seal it back if it's not what you wanted… doesn't that seem a bit selfish, hmm?"
"You've got a point." Avinia nodded.
"It would be a waste of time…" Aqua agreed.
"B-But… don't you conduct the Rite of Channeling for Riders?" Navirou argued.
"Isn't it the same thing, hmm? People controlling monsters and making them do their bidding?"
"You can't be serious! Are you saying the Rite of Channeling should be banned?"
"I don't think that's what he's saying…" Meryl said.
"She's right. There's a reason why only chosen Riders are able to undergo the Rite." Avinia added.
"Yup. Now, as for sealing power, it is no easy task."
At that moment, a geyser erupted beside him… which he immediately tilted his body to close it up.
"Wh-what are you doing?" Navirou wondered.
"A little demonstration."
Suddenly, the rock underneath Navirou that he was sitting on turned out to be a geyser of its own and shot Navirou up in the air. "Waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah!"
Mine reached over, put her hand over the water and then splashed it on her face to wipe her mouth. "Ah, just what I needed after eating that Lagombi."
"By suppressing power, you will kick things out of balance. Creating an anomaly… this irregularity, unchecked, can lead to dire consequences." He removed his hand, which had Navirou fall back to the ground.
"Oooof! My tender toe beans…!" He grunted as he proceeded to put his steamed body into some snow to cool himself off. "Did we really need that paws-on demo?!"
"Now, power is not what's important."
"Okay, so what is…?" Navirou wondered.
"The lesson's over." He stood up. "And now, you must find the answer on your own." He then walked back into the spring.
"No no no wait, come back! …Awwww… does he not trust us or something?" Navirou wondered.
"No… I think I know the answer." Avinia said, turning to Kora. "He senses doubt in your heart…"
Kora frowned. "Could it be… because of what happened with Ranmar and Duke?"
"You probably feel you're going to let Ratha die and you're doubting that he won't be the same after that… or something along those lines." Avinia guessed.
"That's probably it…"
"I do understand his point of view… messing with nature is not to be taken lightly." Rosalina said.
Not to mention there's a goddess who'd have a field day if she found out about this… Blake thought.
Ratha walked over and gently nudged Kora again, softly growling as she turned her head and smiled, gently petting his head as he leaned into it.
At that moment, they heard an ominous noise coming from afar. "What's that?" Ilia wondered.
"It sounds like it's a pit opening up. Let's go!" Avinia said as they quickly took off to the source of the noise, taking out a few Gypceri and a Barroth that got in their way as they went into another cave system, where they promptly cut through an unsuspecting Red Khezu's neck to kill it, then they went further along until they reached the glowing lights.
"There it is." Ruby said. "Are there any monsters nearby?"
"I don't see anything." Sheele said.
At that moment, Blake, Sienna and Seryu's ears twitched as they turned their heads to see a monster swooping in and crashing into the ground, letting out a loud screech.
BGM: Hoarfrost Reach Battle Theme (Monster Hunter World: Iceborne)
A Legiana.
"It's a Legiana!" Avinia exclaimed, as they were then joined by more Barroths, Gypceros and Red Khezus.
"And more of them are coming!" Kora exclaimed as they took off to deal with the incoming monsters while Kora and Avinia, along with Ruby, Ilia, Aqua, Rosalina, and Veronica stepped up to face the Legiana.
Majestic Ice Wyvern - Legiana
"This one doesn't seem like it's under the influence!" Ilia said.
"Regardless, we gotta make sure it doesn't cross through the lights!" Ruby said as the Legiana screeched once more before it proceeded to unleash a chilling wind, then went for a corkscrew dive on Ilia but she used a Elthunder spell to electrocute the Legiana.
The Legiana roared as Kora and Ratha both attacked the creature from the side as Avinia swung her weapon to raise everyone's defense as Frostfang pounced and bit down on the Legiana, causing it to screech and shook it off.
Ruby and her Zinogre both leaped forward, the former slashing it while Cerberus swung his claws down, before letting out a loud howl to power himself up before unleashing a massive lightning bolt to strike the Legiana.
The Legiana shook it off, flying up into the air and clawed the Zinogre, but Ruby used her crossbow to fire a Silver Arrow into the Legiana, knocking it down. The Legiana got back up, only to get hit by Magic Hour, which made the Legiana go for Aqua and corkscrewed into her, knocking her down but she rolled back up and used Thunder Surge.
The Legiana flew up into the air and unleashed another chilling wind before flying down and swiping its tail into Ruby, knocking her back a bit before she got back up where Rosalina threw cosmic fire into the Legiana, then Ratha jumped in and clawed the Legiana with Kora backing him up.
With a loud roar, the Legiana gracefully corkscrewed into Rosalina, where she put up a force field to protect herself as the Legiana scratched and clawed the force field, giving Ilia plenty of time to charge up a Thoron and let it fly into the Legiana, electrocuting the creature as Veronica unleashed a Kasizzle.
"Wait a minute…" Ruby turned to the rays. "Something's wrong… I feel like it's getting stronger!"
"You're right! The lights are getting stronger!" Avinia said as they turned to see the Legiana getting corrupted by the lights, letting out a corrupted roar.
Ratha growled at the Legiana… and then unleashed a loud corrupted roar as dark power started to come out of the Rathalos.
"Ratha?!" Kora said in surprise as the Rathalos opened his wings, as dark energy shot into the sky. It let out a powerful roar, which in turn, caused the other wild monsters to whimper and quickly escaped.
"What…?" Weiss turned around, only to gasp in surprise to see the Rathalos slowly turning color as it menacingly approached the Legiana.
"The Wings of Ruin… no!" Ena cried as she tried to hold him back, along with Ruby, Kora and Ilia.
"They're trying to hold it back…" Tsukino whispered as she was watching the fight unfold, as Ratha knocked them down as the Legiana high tailed it out of there. Ratha opened his wings and flew off after it.
Avinia gasped. "The village is in danger!" She exclaimed. "Frostfang!" She called out as she hopped on the Barioth and flew off as Gloria transformed into her Latias form and flew off with her.
"Saki!" Weiss called as her Pink Rathian came to her as Weiss hopped on and flew off, while Mine transformed and flew after them as well.
"Hey, wait up!" Zinnia exclaimed, pulling out her Master Ball and tossing it up in the air, calling out Rayquaza. "Alright, Ray Ray! Let's follow that Rathalos!"
Rayquaza roared and flew off, Rosalina quickly accompanying them while everyone else ran off, leaving Kora by herself.
"Ratha…?"
"Kora, let's go!" Navirou said, snapping her out of her daze as she quickly ran off as well.
The Legiana flew away with Ratha close behind it as Kyle and Tsukino ran close by. "You're saying they tried to stop it?" Kyle asked.
"Yeah. They're not as bad as Adam makes them out to be!"
"I don't buy it!"
Up on a mountain peak, Adam watched with binoculars. "That's it… come closer." He smirked.
Ratha swooped down, nailing the Legiana with his claws as it yelped before it recovered and flew away, heading straight for the village as Ratha continued to chase.
At that moment, Gloria caught up and unleashed Psybeam on the Rathalos, knocking it down but it swiftly recovered and ignored Gloria as he started to charge up a fire ball.
"No!" Avinia cried as Zinnia swiftly touched the Mega Ring on her ankle, Mega Evolving Rayquaza as he picked up speed right as he shot the fireball toward the Legiana, where it swiftly dodged the attack.
Rosalina quickly teleported to where the fireball would end up, raising her hands as her eyes started glowing, telekinetically stopping the fireball and proceeded to surround it in a force field where it started to shrink down while Rayquaza flipped and smacked Ratha into the snow right as Rosalina crushed the fireball, unleashing cosmic energy throughout.
However, Ratha wasn't done as he unleashed another fireball toward the village, but Mine shadow stepped over to it and unleashed dark flames to cancel it out, creating an explosion but not enough to wipe everything out.
"Phew…" Avinia sighed with relief.
However, Adam smirked as he pulled out a detonator. "You should've kept a closer eye on your village." He said, pressing a button right as Ratha was about to attack Mine.
BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM!
The resounding explosion was enough to knock Mine and Rosalina back from the shockwave, also knocking down the Rathalos.
The Legiana let out a fierce cry, disappearing into the mountains.

"What the…?!" Zinnia looked on in shock.
"No…!" Avinia whispered as everyone else came to the scene while Ratha slowly got up. Kora immediately got in front of him as Ratha moved forward.
"Ratha! Ratha, buddy! Stop! STOP!" Kora pleaded but Ratha knocked her down, seemingly focused on the Legiana that disappeared but moved his attention toward her. Mine got out of her daze and got between them.
"Focus your attention on me, big guy!" Mine said, her arms spread out as Weiss started playing a calming melody after going into her Sheikah Form, but to her dismay, the calming melody wasn't enough to soothe Razewing Ratha.
"Oh no…" Weiss whispered.
Suddenly, Dede emerged from the mountain, swinging his staff as he jumped down, getting in front of Mine. "Quell thy fury!" He ordered, swinging the bells on his staff which in turn caused Ratha's power to disappear, falling asleep.
"Ratha…" Kora whispered, quickly hugging his head.
"Now, that was no more than an ounce of Ratha's power." Dede said. "What do you want to do with that power? Have a good think about it." He said before turning his attention to the smoking village, walking through to check for any survivors.
Behind them, Kyle and Tsukino looked on. "That was Razewing Ratha's power. I've seen enough."
"They tried to stop it though."
"Tsukino, look at the village and tell me they stopped that power!"
"No… they stopped it. I feel like that explosion was from something else."
"It went through that demon girl. The explosion was only delayed before it destroyed the village."
"Are you absolutely sure, Kyle?"
BGM: Tears of the Light (Kingdom Hearts: Birth by Sleep)
Down below, everyone gathered. "What… what just happened?" Ruby asked.
"The entire fockin village just randomly exploded! I dunnae how that happened!"
"I know it wasn't Ratha… no, it wasn't… you stopped him… so something…" She looked at the village. "Something… else had happened to… to…"
She teared up, falling on her knees and let out a loud cry of despair, punching the snow in frustration.
"What are we going to do…?" Ena wondered. "The power from this Rathalos is too great…"
Kora closed her eyes, clenching her fists. She opened her eyes to stare at her Kinship Stone as an idea came to her. "I know what I have to do." She said as she turned around. "Dede!" She called out.
"What are you doing, bud?" Navirou wondered as Dede approached, carrying a few villagers that were spared from the blast, as even Daul was okay.
"Is everyone alright?" Daul asked. "I was near the windmills when the village exploded." He then saw Avinia in tears and hurried over to her to console her.
"Did you think hard enough?" Dede asked.
"I did. I want to make sure Ratha doesn't get corrupted by the Wings of Ruin." Kora said, lifting her Kinship stone up high. "That is my bond with my Monstie."
"Hmmmm…" Dede smiled. "Good answer!" He said as Ratha woke up and shook himself off, right as Dede started swinging his staff around. Weiss decided to follow suit with the Song of Healing as Ratha let out a growl, his eyes glowing red once more.
Kora got in front of Ratha. "You got this. Don't let it control you. You control it!"
Ratha snapped out of it, and with seemingly smirking, he lifted his head to the sky and let out a massive fireball, unleashing it toward the sky where it exploded like fireworks. Ratha then let out a roar of victory before turning around and licking Kora's face.
"Hehe~!" Kora giggled. "Now, we just gotta deal with-"
Suddenly, electric rope was shot out, striking Weiss, her monsties, Seryu, Koro, Ratha and even Mine was hit, which electrocuted them violently.
"GYAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!" The girls screamed.
"WEISS?!" Meryl yelled as the electric ropes disappeared, which in turn caused their auras to break as they all fell to the ground, and then suddenly, Crimson Fanged Erdrean Monsters ran in and scooped them all up.
"We'll take it from here."
BGM: Tension (Persona 5)
"Adam!" Blake glared as Adam smirked.
"Hey. How's it going?" He greeted casually. "That Rathalos is quite the scary creature, don't you agree? Don't worry, we'll take good care of it." He said as Iron Maidens caged the KO'd Weiss, Seryu and Mine.
"Seryu!" Sheele exclaimed, reaching out for her but the Glavenus got in the way with a snarl.
"One move and those three are history." Adam warned as he looked up at Rayquaza. "Same for you, big guy."
Zinnia put her arm out. "Easy Ray Ray…" She said as Rayquaza let out a snarl while Ratha and Weiss's monsties were put into cages.
"Wait a minute…" Sienna glared. "You blew up Kuan Village, didn't you!"
"What evidence do you have proof of? I'm technically an innocent man." Adam said, causing Sienna to growl. "But don't worry, I'll take good care of these three. After all, wouldn't want some measly terrorists blowing up this world… isn't that right, Kyle?"
Kyle emerged from his hiding spot. "That's exactly right."
"So the clown finally emerges." Zinnia said.
"Have fun with them." Adam said, hopping on the Glavenus as they walked off with all of them. He turned his head toward Sienna. "I'll deal with you later." He said before disappearing.
"No… no no no NO!" Meryl yelled as she tried to chase them, but Kyle got in the way and sweep kicked her down.
"Meryl!" Blake got close to her as did Ruby and Yang. Sheele tried to run after Seryu but Kyle tripped her up as well.
"Don't even think about it. All of you are terrorists along with that stupid Rathalos anyway."
"What the heck are you talking about?! We're not terrorists!" Ruby said.
"Then why are you siding with the head of this operation? Weiss is responsible for this mess as she's the leader of your cult."
"Cult?! Wot the fock are you on?!"
"That Rathalos nearly took out dad… and now I'm going to pay for what it's done." He said as some guards approached.
"Heheh, your father would be proud, boy. Unfortunately, Adam has Razewing."
"I'll kill it when he's ready." Kyle said. "Take them away."
A shadow was cast over Zinnia's eyes. "Ray Ray… sic 'em."
Rayquaza roared, immediately headbutting the guards and swinging his tail to make them fly away. Kyle growled. "Someone, knock that stupid green monster do-"
A fist hit him in the face, belonging to none other than Zinnia herself as he was pushed into a rock wall while everyone else joined Rayquaza.
"Nnngh!" Kyle grunted.
"So, you decided to follow us and jumped to THAT conclusion? How stupid can you get, clowny?"
"My name's not "clowny", it's Kyle!"
"Right, riiiiight…" Zinnia rolled her eyes as Kyle pulled out his bow and aimed directly at Zinnia, who casually yanked the arrow out of his bow.
"Huh?!"
"Ya know, I've always wanted to try out javelin throwing… mind if you help me on that?" She asked, proceeding to pin him to the rock
"Nnngh…!" Kyle growled, pulling himself out as he then delivered a swift punch but Zinnia weaved her head.
"Over here~!"
Kyle growled, proceeding to punch and kick her.
"Right over here~! Ooooh, just missed me~! Sheesh, my grandmother can kick harder than you~! Oooh, missed it by that much!"
"Will you knock it-"
Zinnia sweep kicked him, knocking him off his feet as Zinnia got on top of him, raising her fist. "Let me give you five reasons on why you're an Arceus damned idiot!"

A hooded figure approached, their eyes covered by it as it approached the Kirin, gently petting its mane as they pulled up binoculars, watching the heroes walk away from Kuan with the Scriveners.
The figure pulled down their binoculars and turned to the Kirin, which was also joined by a Velkhana, Barioth, Mizutsune and a Shrieking Legiana.
They motioned their head as they all proceeded to secretly follow the heroes.
