Whoopsie. Sally is giving the disapproving mother look of doom. Luckily our Percy's mostly immune by now lol.

Guest: I mean, who would disobey Sally Kane? She's badass. Also, Luke hasn't ever had a mom be mom like to him. He had no resistance. Poor thing.
Guest: It's more that Percy's afraid that they'll try to take her away from her family to a degree.
Guest: I mean, there is a big difference in the situations. If Zeus had refused to acknowledge or consider it just for a few days until it sunk in then yes it would be comparable and understandable. But Zeus forbade talking about it, and refused to acknowledge it despite mounting evidence. That could have led to complete disaster if Kronos' plans had worked. Chiron is having a tonne of info dumped on him and is not processing or acknowledging things at this stage. Given time to process he would in fact do so.
Guest: It's Thalia/Bianca/Reyna.
Zephry0f8: Percy, before even introducing herself, just sidling up to Athena, blanking Zeus and holding a hand up when he tries to speak: Well hey there oh great and Wise Lady Athena. I have a great offering for you. No reason, I just totally respect you.
Meanwhile with Annabeth and Piper, Annabeth: I mean it's sweet. Just... painful to watch.
Piper: Want some popcorn?
Wisestriker: Oh Aphrodite would take one look at them and be like 'AWWWWWEEEE! A love for my ages oh my daughter has done well for herself- two of the most powerful demigods of this generation oh I'm so proud!'. Meanwhile Athena's just there like 'I suppose Aphrodite's daughter's not so bad but really? Really? Poseidon's spawn?
Ryan Fowler: Just imagine the interpatheon meetings when they've got things all sorted. It'd be so fun.
Undeath9087: Well Carter will be piloting the boat so yes :D. And it shall be fun I assure you. Heheheheheh.
NuzhatT: Of course :D
Guest: She's going to Olympus. Percy knows full well that things will come out then even if she doesn't want them to. And you will see when the time comes.
The bemused looks that Percy got at her exclamation were honestly kind of hilarious, along with the fondly exasperated look on Annabeth's face and the pure amusement on Piper's- which was marked by her bursting out laughing. Which in Percy's opinion was kinda rude but hey. She could allow it under the circumstances. And Sadie looked like she was about to die of laughter too.
Carter was sighing and pinching the bridge of his nose as if trying to ward off a headache.
Then a little cough reminded Percy that her mother was present. And looking very disapproving…
Percy straightened up instantly, her eyes going wide as she tucked the backpack behind her, ignoring the looks that the others were giving her as her mother raised an eyebrow.
"Well, I hardly know where to start with that. Girlfriend?"
"Uh… it's a very new development. And… technically I have two-"
"About time." Sally's serious expression broke for a moment, "Honestly I was worried I'd have to lock you three in a closet or something. I mean really, Percy I love you but you are so thick headed-"
"Mom!"
"Mrs Kane!"
"If she didn't I would have." Sadie huffed, "And half of Brooklyn House would have helped me-"
"That is true." Bianca piped up. "But they'd have argued about when to do it- money was hinging on it. I think Felix won the bet-"
"Wait-" Percy blinked, an offended look on her face, "You guys were betting on when I'd- rude!" She paused, "Do you think he'll give me a cut of the winnings-"
"Persephone Ariadne Kane!" Sally's voice was sharp and disapproving, "You shouldn't be encouraging gambling! And don't think I've forgotten about your comment about making Lady Athena approve of you. And I'm not stupid she's the one you'd have to win over most I'm sure."
And Percy could see Luke blinking and mouthing her name disbelievingly as Thalia snickered and Chiron's brows furrowed.
And Artemis looked somewhat smug- clearly she was putting together more and more evidence that Percy wasn't just what she claimed to be, though the currently human ex-goddess did cover up her reaction fairly quickly, a fact which Percy was grateful for.
"Is there something wrong with wanting my girlfriends mother to approve of me-"
"First of all-" Sally's lips twitched, "Don't pretend like you have ever a day in your life cared what any god other than Ra thinks of you-"
"I care about what gods-"
"Percy you threatened to tear off Horus' arms and shove them up his ass if he took your big brother from you do not try and play innocent with me. And second, please tell me that you're not implying what I think you're implying-"
"That would depend entirely on what you think I'm implying-" and Sadie and Carter were both trying to hide their amusement at the innocent look on Percy's face. Which truthfully was actually reasonably convincing. Until a person remembered that she was an actress and therefore extremely good at lying for money.
"Percy-"
"I'm going to need some clarification mother-"
"Did you go to London on your birthday?"
"Now why would I have gone to London I'm not sure if there's anything special the-"
"Percy I have heard you rant about the repatriation of stolen Artefacts. And I know for a fact that there is a certain set of items which you have been desperate to return to their rightful home since you were… well, since you came up with the idea at eleven."
"Just because I've talked about it before doesn't mean-"
"And then, on the night of your birthday they're mysteriously stolen. After you, Sadie, Annabeth and Piper all left the house for a few hours-"
"Okay" Thalia looked amused, "This is funny but Annabeth's not really much of a thief, not on a scale like that anyway-"
"Hah!" Piper burst out before she could stop herself, "You'd think that-"
"Sorry Thals-" Annabeth had a shit eating grin on her face as she gave a small shrug, "But uh… I have in fact stolen before. And I may have technically planned the whole heist-"
"Hei-" Sally groaned. "So it was you four." She shook her head, "I'm not sure if I should be telling you off or not right now honestly. You're all ridiculous and I'm tempted to ground you for a year when you get home-"
"Mom!"
"Percy- I want you to be honest with me right now. I want to hear you say the words. Why do you think what's in the backpack will make Lady Athena approve of you?"
Percy was silent for a long moment before she managed- "Because I decided to make a brave attempt to repatriate the Parthenon Marbles back to Greece- though I haven't gotten to stage two in my plan yet 'cause things went wrong during stage one and people noticed that the replacements I left there were replacements too quickly so I figured I better let the fuss over it all die down."
"You-" Chiron's voice was faint and slightly strangled as he stared at her- and Luke and Thalia were both gaping, as were several of the campers watching from a short distance away- they'd mostly lingered back. Percy couldn't blame them for feeling uncertain under the circumstances.
Still they clearly wanted to know what was going on enough to at least watch from a distance- and listen it seemed based on the looks of their faces- and Percy saw that Silena was slapping Clarisses arm, clearly excited as she hissed something to the other girl. And the Stolls were mock clapping- they probably didn't want Chiron to hear them actually clapping and get in trouble.
Her attention was pulled back to Chiron as he managed "You're the one who stole the Parthenon
marbles-"
"Well, it was with help but yeah." Percy gave her best innocent grin. "I'd wanted to do it for a while. Pipes and I had already done some smaller scale stuff but I mean, the Parthenon marbles? Even before I met Annabeth I wanted to get those back where they belong. What can I say I'm a passionate person-"
"She is." Bianca snickered, "I remember that interview Felix showed of me after the news broke about the robbery of the marbles. The one you gave after you played Helen in that big movie-"
"Ah yes, I remember that interview-"
"The one where she talked over the interviewer every time he tried to change the subject after she got ranting about the Parthenon marbles and how they were stolen and how the Greeks were perfectly capable of preserving and carving for the artefacts and displaying them as they deserved to be displayed." Piper nodded sagely, "I was backstage for that one."
"Are you-" Chiron gave a little cough to clear his throat, "Are you telling me that the Parthenon marbles are-"
"In my backpack." Percy finished for him, giving a cheerful little nod. "Yep." She paused, "Though I probably shouldn't take them with me on the quest." She paused thoughtfully. "I mean- if anything goes wrong it could get lost and that would be bad."
"Yes." Chiron's voice was slightly higher pitched than usual. If Percy was mean she might have laughed at the clear struggle to appear composed. "Yes that would be rather bad your highness."
"Can you look after it for me?" Percy asked hopefully, tilting her head slightly.
"You-" Chiron closed his eyes tightly for a moment before nodding. "Yes, yes I can." He held out a hand and Percy handed it over quickly, giving an apologetic little smile.
"Sorry for the sheer amount of chaos I've caused here- do not laugh-" because Sadie, Bianca, Piper and Annabeth were snickering, she could practically sense it. And she could also picture that familiar long suffering look on Carters face- the way his eyes would roll upwards and he'd look up at the sky, questioning how he got stuck with such a ridiculous baby sister.
"No-" Chiron held up his free hand as he slung the backpack over his shoulder, "No, there's no need your highness. I admit this day hasn't exactly gone as I expected. But I can hardly blame you for all of it. The situation is largely out of any of our control."
"Don't worry." Percy grinned slightly, "We'll be out of your hair soon enough. For a few days at least."
"I hope that when next we meet it will be in better circumstances." Chiron nodded, glancing over his shoulder, and Percy followed his gaze, spotting the two demigods he'd sent off earlier carting seven backpacks over to them, all of which looked to be stuffed full of supplies.
They were handed out quickly and Chiron sighed. "I don't like any of this- but if you wish to stop Kronos then you must return to Mount Tam, and given your deadline it seems you won't be able to rest for the night before." He looked up at the sky- which was already starting to turn dark. But then again the Winter solstice was fast approaching, the nights were longer now. Darkness came quicker. That was fine by Percy, she liked the nights.
"They can rest during the flight." Carter spoke up, his voice reassuring, "But we should probably be heading out soon."
"Of course." And so the small group clambered into the boat, Percy lingering behind to say goodbye to her mom, who folded her in a tight hug, kissing the top of her head.
"You look after yourselves sweetheart." Sally's voice was soft. "You and Annabeth and Piper and Bianca. Your brother and sister will only go so far with you."
"I know mom. This is my adventure." She pulled back a little to meet her moms gaze. "I'm going to have to go to Olympus." The words felt heavy on her tongue. Sally nodded, a sadness in her eyes.
"I know." She pressed her hand to Percy's cheek, a achingly gentle gesture. "I know my sweet girl." She kissed the top of Percy's head with such gentleness that Percy wanted to crumple into her mothers arms and let the exhaustion claim her.
But no. She was stronger than that. She always had been and she always would be. She had no other choice. She pulled back, though she gripped her mothers elbows tightly, squeezing them firmly. "Whatever happens I will come home."
"I know."
"I'll always be a Princess of Egypt."
"Of course." Sally nodded, "You're just… becoming a little more." She said softly. "I know you won't let them keep you from us darling."
"Never." And with that Percy turned away and climbed into the boat, sitting down between Annabeth and Piper, who automatically threaded their fingers through hers.
And, with her stomach tight with an anxiety to the future, Percy started ahead as they at last took to the skies.
