Pepe and Johnny had gone for a guys night out, leaving Penelope alone in her house. That is, until she heard the doorbell ring. At the door was her adoptive son, Furrball.

"Calamity went out with Little Beeper and Lil Bepper and Shirley went on a girls trip with Babs, Fifi, and Sweetie." He informed.

"Well Pepe and Johnny have gone out on a guys trip." Penelope replied.

The two of them smiled at each other for a brief moment. The two cats spent the whole day together at areas such as the movies, the park, the beach, an amusement park, a miniature golf course, a library, and so on. When they returned to the house, Furrball was overjoyed.

"This is the most fun I've had in years!" He happily exclaimed.

"Figured that since I'm your mother, I could be the mother you never had." Penelope explained, as she was giving Furrball a hug.

"That reminds me." Furrball replied, reciprocating the hug. "I've got you a little present at that amusement park."

"Really?" Penelope asked.

Furrball presented a paper bag that had a fish in it. Penelope's eyes sparkled as she smiled widely.

"Is that a trout?" She asked, excitedly. "That's my favourite kind of fish!"

She gave Furrball a massive and loving hug before throwing the fish in the air and catching it with her mouth before swallowing it.

"I didn't want my new mother to starve, as well as spoil me without me showing my appreciation." Furrball replied, as he massaged her belly.

"I'm going to repay you someday." Penelope replied, shedding a single year of joy.

That was when the clock ticked five pm.

"Wow, it's already dinner time." She said. "I know! I'll order us some takeout for dinner."

The two had a lovely meal of takeout pizza that evening. After their food went down, they sat on the sofa while Penelope was rubbing Furrball's head while his eyelids started getting heavy.

"Furrball?" Penelope inquired. "Would you care for a warm bath? I know you might be a bit scared if the water, but don't worry, I'll be there for you."

"That would be wonderful." Furrball replied.
