Magik and the X-Men
At the X-Mansion, while Xavier is at New Attilan working with Beast on some project, they were never too informed about it. The mutant students watch in horror the news about some that just attacked three members of the Fantastic Four. The ones watching very keenly are Colossus, Shadowcat, Magik, and Emma Frost.
"Holy shit!" shouted Colossus. He was just shocked seeing the helicopter news footage of this new enemy. Whoever he is for him to attack the superhero family like that was just, well, it was not a forgettable feeling or experience.
"We have to help them!" Colossus demanded the other X-Men.
"Why aren't the Avengers helping them?" Kitty asked.
"They're probably busy as usual and the Fantastic Four takes care of guys like these all the time and he just whupped their asses," Magik commented.
"I'd say even if we were to help them, the government wouldn't take kindly to that," Emma pointed out.
"Do we have any other choice?" Colossus asked as the three women look at him and in silence agreed with him.
"Call the others, we're taking on this guy," Colossus said though he was doubting himself that the X-Men could take on this new fellow.
As the Blackbird flies off from the mansion, inside it, Cyclops was piloting it, Wolverine sitting next to him, and behind were Shadowcat, Magik, Colossus, Nightcrawler, Emma Frost, and Synch.
"So, what's this guy's power exactly? And how come the Fantastic Four of all people are struggling against him?" Synch asked.
"When I saw the footage, I assumed he's some kind of mutant on a rampage, if we don't stop him then the government will definitely come for him," Cyclops warned.
"Are we sure he's a mutant?" Emma asked.
"I can't answer that, but we all should confirm with him. Right now, Reed is talking down with the guy, if we can just arrive and see what he wants and possibly hope he's not a new Horsemen for Apocalypse," Cyclops warned again.
"Basically, all possibilities are endless," Wolverine remarked.
A concerned feeling spread through all of them, especially Kitty. She was wondering how Franklin and Valeria are taking this after seeing footage of their mother getting shot by that light ray beam and their uncle and friend just knocked out like that.
"But the Fantastic Four take on guys like this all the time. Just look at Doctor Doom." Emma pointed out.
"Ben Grimm getting kicked like that is not something you see every day, but also this new enemy shot at Susan Storm when she was invisible if you've seen the footage. No one unless having really good, heightened sense could possibly do that," Wolverine remarked.
The Blackbird lands near away from where the Fantasticar was. The X-Men exit out and are bit surprised Richards is still talking with the big guy.
"Ok, I didn't realize he's tall," Kitty commented seeing Kizaru up ahead.
"What's the plan, slim?" Logan asks.
"We approach him with caution and try to talk with him, much like what Richards is doing right now," Scott ordered.
Reed immediately notices the X-Men are running towards him, possibly trying to help him and think Kizaru is a rampant mutant. heck, he could be some rampant Eternal or Inhuman for all he knows. However, he wants to warn them because Kizaru isn't what they think he is.
Kizaru also took notice of the weirdo costumed folk approaching him. "My... my... more pirates have decided to show up," he remarked.
Hearing that they were so confused that Synch was the first to point that out, "Pirates? What does he mean? Like the guys that go "Argh!' or "Yo ho ho!'"
"Um, I really hope not." Magik said.
Reed waved at them to not come, and they took that warning and stopped approaching, but clearly not far away enough from Reed and Kizaru.
"I'm assuming this is more of your pirate crew, you guys must be bigger than I thought," Kizaru commented.
"No, wait. Don't attack them," Reed pleaded for his fellow heroes.
"Don't attack them? What kind of pirates are you that don't need attacking?" Kizaru tilted his head in confusion.
"Uh, Reed. What is this guy on about?" Scott asks as he's totally confused.
"I honestly don't even know," Reed said and then he remembered, "Oh, please check on my team if you can."
Scott nodded and ordered Colossus to check on Ben, Nightcrawler on Johnny, and Emma on Susan.
Reed thanks him and they proceed to negotiate with Kizaru, well at least try to.
"Let me speak with him," Cyclops suggests as he walks up to him. "Hello, mister, I don't know if you realize if what you're doing is wrong-"
"Wrong? That's very rich. I asked those people if they were affiliated with the World Government, and they just kept firing at me with their guns. So, I took them out assuming they were enemies. Actually, now that I think about you guys keep saying you're not pirates, yet you got strange Devil Fruit Powers I've never seen before, except that one fire guy I just kicked. And another thing is I don't know what island I'm on," Kizaru started going off on a tangent.
Cyclops, Reed, and the rest of the X-Men just stared at Kizaru in confusion, but nevertheless, they all thought the same thing, 'Is he slow?'
"He must be from another timeline or another world," Cyclops deduced.
"Or another planet and he could still be dangerous." Reed cautioned.
"Where am I exactly?" Kizaru asked the strange group he's seen.
"You are in New York City, part of the United States of America," this time Magik answered him.
"Are you affiliated with the World Government or not?" Kizaru asks nonchalantly.
"We apologize, but we don't know this 'World Government' you speak off. Here in the United States, we have our own government," Shadowcat explains.
"Don't know, huh... and you say you aren't affiliated with my government nor are pirates? Then what are you guys?" Kizaru asks.
"It's best you come with us, and we can explain everything to you, where you are and you can explain everything about where you come from," Cyclops suggested.
Kizaru just stared at them with barely an expression on his face. "Now why would I do that?"
This question surprised them. "Why would you do what?" Reed asks him this time.
"Come with you. For all, I know you could be criminals and I can only take you all out now and figure out where the hell I am," Kizaru reasons in his own way.
"But I told you we are not pirates nor criminals," Cyclops retorted.
"Looks like we're gonna have to resort to fighting," Logan remarked.
Scott sighed at that and realized there wasn't much of a choice now, was there?
"I'll just take you guys out and be on my way," Kizaru said as he charges the power of his light on his leg.
Magik, Shadowcat, and Synch took a fighting stance as did Wolverine and Cyclops, and Mister Fantastic.
"We need a strategy," Synch suggested.
"Oh, I got one alright," Wolverine says as he unsheathes his claws which surprises Kizaru, and charges towards Kizaru.
"My, you're a feisty little man," Kizaru remarked.
"Wolverine, wait!" Scott called out to him. "We need a plan!"
Wolverine charges toward Kizaru ready to sink his claws into his body. And he does immediately. He cuts off his charged-up leg, torso, and arms.
"Wolverine!" Scott called out again.
"Heh," he paused. "This guy ain't so tough." As he begins to walk away, he hears something that astonishes him.
"Like I said you're a feisty one," Kizaru said casually as he was chopped up and all over the ground although there was no blood shown.
"What kind of freaky..." Synch said with eyes widened.
"Oh my God," Kitty says with her fear in her eyes.
Magik wasn't scared, but it still surprised her. This guy has some sort of healing factor she thought to herself.
Wolverine was still astonished and stared at Kizaru. His body parts start to glow in bright, yellow light and reassemble back into his original body rather instantly.
"Alright, I'm done letting you attack me. I've seen enough and could just tell you're weak," Kizaru remarked.
"What you say, bub!" Logan spat.
"I'm saying this," Kizaru retorted and charges his leg again and this time kicks Wolverine all across New York City to the point where you couldn't see him, and then a large explosion almost nuclear occurs.
Everyone stares widely at what Kizaru just did.
"NOOOOOO!" Kitty yells out of horror.
Magik couldn't believe it. Wolverine could survive that explosion, but still... just how powerful was Kizaru.
Scott had enough and was ready for a fight. So did Reed.
They both nodded and ran towards Kizaru. Mister Fantastic stretched to wrap around Kizaru. However, he passed right through him, and his power surprised Kizaru.
"What the hell? You ate Straw Hat's Devil Fruit!" He yelled out of curiosity and concern.
"Now you are all dangerous to be kept alive," as he said that which sent a chill to their bones.
Cyclops prepares to fire a concussion blast, however, Kizaru said "You are going to fire that beam from your eyes."
Cyclops fires anyway and Kizaru fires a light beam from his index finger and the two blasts collided with one another.
Colossus found Ben Grimm and approached him with caution.
He appeared to be still knocked out, but Colossus wasn't going to give up. He lightly tapped on his shoulder. He wasn't going to give up not now, not ever.
"Come on, Grimm! You have to wake up!" He started to slam his chest in his metallic form.
"Come on!" He kept shouting in worrisome. There is just no way The Thing could be dead.
Ben instantly shot up, breathing heavily and roughly coughing. He kept blinking sporadically and noticed Colossus.
"You're alive. Thank God." He touched his shoulder and helped him up.
"I feel like I've been knocked into next Tuesday. The hell happened to me?" He asks as he touches his forehead, feeling some pain, and trying to shrug it off.
"That tall man kicked you very far away," Colossus said.
"Ah jeez... can't believe out of all the people to take me out, it's this guy," Ben shook his head.
"We're going to beat this guy. Come on, let's go!" Colossus waves for him to come by as they both ran off to go back to the battle.
Kurt teleported to where Johnny Storm was. He wasn't hurt too badly, but it didn't mean he wasn't still damaged or hurt from battling that crazy guy with a lot of power.
"Nein, Johnny!" He tried shaking him to wake him up. It wasn't working at first and Kurt felt a lot of guilt on him. Until in a flash, Johnny got up and coughed heavily.
"Where is he?" He asked in a deep growl.
"Johnny, wait a second. If you go back there, you will only suffer more pain and loss," Kurt stated.
"I don't care, Nightcrawler... I want to take this guy out... he's too dangerous," Johnny states firmly.
"What would your sister or brother-in-law or your friend, Ben Grimm, think of you? Acting so rashly like that against an enemy so strong," Kurt said trying to get some sense into him.
Johnny stared at the ground in pure contempt and anger. He took a deep breath and had to admit, Kurt had a way with words.
Emma approached Susan as quickly as possible, but she couldn't help but witness this light guy and Cyclops colliding their beam attacks.
"This is going to be so dangerous for everyone," she said as she laid down and saw Susan's leg was badly hurt and bleeding.
"Hold on, Susan. I'll take you back to our Blackbird and you'll be at the X-Mansion being treated," Emma said as she helped her up, but Susan winced at the pain.
"Susan, you got to come with me." Emma pleaded.
"I'm trying," Susan said back as she got up and hopped on one leg, with Emma's arm around her shoulder and helping her get to the Blackbird.
Back at the fight, things aren't looking good for the X-Men and Mister Fantastic.
The beams are still colliding between Cyclops and Kizaru.
"GAAAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRREGGGGGGHHHHHHH!" Cyclops yelled with all of his might into his optic blasts.
"You really are a bore to me..." He said as his beam splits into multiple beams and hits Cyclops in all parts of his body.
"Cyclops!" The heroes all shout.
"NOOOOOOOOOOOOO!" Magik shouts as she summons her magic sword and proceeds to attack Kizaru who creates a light sword.
They clash intensely, although Magik gets more aggressive with every strike.
"You're a feisty one like the feral guy," Kizaru remarked. Though his thoughts dwelled on something. 'How is she able to clash with me, yet it appears she's not using haki? Must be using something else.'
"Oh, you haven't seen the last of me, buddy!" Magik yelled as she clashed with Kizaru even more aggressively.
Meanwhile, Shadowcat and Synch check on Cyclops with Reed trying to get contact from SHIELD or the Avengers.
"Are you alright?" Kitty asks Scott. He grunts in response.
"I don't think he looks alright," Synch commented as Kitty glared at him.
"You two! Get Cyclops to safety as I get in contact with SHIELD and the Avengers!" Reed ordered them as they nodded and proceeded to get their leader out of harm's way.
Meanwhile, Kizaru and Magik are still going at it with their swords clashing against each other.
"You're good with that weird sword of yours... however I have to ask how strong is your haki?" Kizaru asked although, to Magik, she thought he was asking that very randomly.
"I have no idea what you're talking about," she said as she proceeded to keep striking and clashing with Kizaru.
"Huh... how shocking... you're very strong," he complimented his opponent.
Magik didn't know what to say to that, instead, she just said, "Um, thank you."
They continued to trade attacks and blocks against each other. Kizaru, however, noticed Mister Fantastic and the others were getting away.
"Sorry, I must be headed to take care of your friends," Kizaru said as he disappeared out into a light form and was gone.
"What the..." Magik said just feeling astonished.
As Reed and the others try to make it to their vehicles, Kizaru appeared right in front of them.
"Ahh... shit..." Synch uttered out of his mouth.
"You're not going to hurt us!" Kitty shouted proudly.
Kizaru just smiled and said, "You are very brave people, I've met- huh?"
He saw an entire group of military men and a man with an eye patch and SHIELD uniform stepping out of one of the vehicles.
"Stand down!" He shouted in the megaphone.
"Or what?" Kizaru said back.
"Or this." The one with the eye patch, known as Nick Fury, remarked as he gets his men to throw a few gas bombs to knock out the tall man to sleep.
"If you think those are going to work on me- huh?" He noticed the girl and the three guys just left and he couldn't find them anywhere.
The gas spread all around and Kizaru started to cough and sneeze.
"What is this?" He coughed more and more until he went on the ground and went to sleep or rather knocked out.
Shadowcat appeared out of the ground with Synch, Cyclops, and Reed.
"Thanks for helping us, Fury." Reed thanked.
"No problem... now mind explaining to me who the hell this guy is?" He said abruptly.
"Well, it's a long explanation," Reed started as he saw Susan, Johnny, and Ben coming along with Nightcrawler, Emma, and Colossus.
"I got all day," Fury said.
A few minutes, Captain America and the Avengers (Iron Man, Scarlet Witch, Black Widow, Falcon, Hawkeye, Vision, and Tigra) arrived. A certain someone gave them a piece of mind.
"Hey, where the hell were you guys!" Magik shouted out of anger.
Cap turned to see Magik approaching them. He sighed as he'd wish he was quick enough to get to everywhere all at once.
"Sorry, Magik... we got held up in the Savage Land as usual. When we came back something strange happened while we were flying back that took us a while. Which is why I'm going to announce all heroes come to the Mansion immediately," Cap demanded.
"Ok..." Magik was all she could say. She didn't want to admit it, but she was willing to hear out Captain America.
"How is everyone?" Iron Man asks as medics arrived to help with Scott and the rest of the FF.
"Don't you have an A.I. to point out where something is wrong with someone?" Kitty asked.
"That's who I was asking," Tony said back, rolling his eyes underneath his helmet.
Synch started to chuckle at the embarrassment and Kitty glared at him. "Don't glare at me. I'm not the one who asked a stupid question to Iron Man of all people," he said while looking away. However, he was concerned about his friends.
"And what do we about him?" Kitty went on to ask Reed gesturing to Kizaru's body lying on the ground.
"First, we'll have to figure out what his power is, exactly. And where he came," Reed said.
"Is he a mutant? Eternal? Inhuman?" Kitty asked.
"Don't know yet, but until we do. We need to have a serious meeting about this," Reed went his way to talk with Fury and the Avengers.
Nearby a damaged Wolverine heads toward everyone and they all look at him like he just went through Hell.
Falcon was about to say something, but Logan waved it off. "Don't even ask," Logan just said as he lets his healing help his body.
At Avengers Mansion, a lot of heroes gathered up for an important meeting, although some aren't Avengers, so they don't even know why they were called.
Captain America took to the center to announce, "Attention, everyone... I know some of you aren't Avengers, and I know during these past years we sometimes just never got along, however, something urgent has come, and no it's not Galactus or Thanos or any Kree or even Skrulls at this point. This threat is something much bigger than you and I."
This concerned a lot of people if the threat isn't Galactus, then it's something huge. Dazzler actually raised her hand, although she wasn't sure why she did that.
"Question-"
"No, questions. At least, not until I'm done explaining everything because, believe me, it's rather a doozy," Steve interrupted.
"I assume you all saw news footage of that tall guy known as Kizaru attacking the cops, the Fantastic Four and X-Men... what you don't know is the fact is why the Avengers weren't there. And here's the truth..." Steve began.
"As we were flying away after taking care of business in the Savage Land with Shanna and Ka-Zar, I started to receive visions... as did Tony... and let's just say they were rather unusual," Steve said.
"The visions showed us locations or rather islands, I should say, being destroyed, that Kizaru guy attacking what he was calling pirates, a few more about this guy in a straw hat. After receiving these visions, we contacted Doctor Strange to verify these visions and that's where this gets hectic," Steve said.
"The visions he said were coming from another world... universe... one stranger than our own and where that Kizaru comes from," Steve said as this surprised everyone.
"Wait, what do you mean another universe?" Dazzler asks abruptly.
"Some of us come from different timelines, but in this case, this isn't anything like that," Tony explained.
"I'm assuming some of you are aware of the multiverse theory, the idea of multiple earths existing at the same time, but without ever knowing they exist due to String Theory and frequencies where the earths cannot see each other. We have rarely any encounter with it except that one time when Doctor Doom tried to rewrite reality in his own way due to the Incursions that were occurring at the time," Tony explains.
"So, there could be like a universe where we are all different people and never meet?" This time the Eternal known as Sersi asks.
"Precisely, but there could also be one where we just don't exist at all," Tony says as that gave the rest of the hero community a bit of an existential crisis.
"Ahh... that's a little scary to think about," Hellcat commented.
"We understand your concern, however, it's important to note that we inform everyone on the matter," Tony said.
"And it's important that everyone knows about this before it gets out of hand," Steve said.
"How long have you two known about this?" Emma Frost asks.
"Not long, but the visions were like we said earlier stranger," said Tony.
"Whatever the new threat that's coming, we're going to be prepared and ready. And right now, SHIELD has Kizaru as he called himself taken into a cell where he is kept there and kept for questioning. We're also awaiting updates on any hero that has been injured, except for Logan," Steve said.
"So is Cyclops, Susan, Johnny, and Ben, alright?" Kitty asks.
"As I said, we're awaiting updates, however, while that's going on, we should also inform all of you on Kizaru," Steve said.
This time a friendly neighborhood hero, Spider-Man raised his hand, "Um, about that, Cap... I know you're going to just inform us about him, but I think it's also important to note that we could see the footage itself. If there are any?"
"Good point, Spider-Man, Tony." Steve gestured as Tony shows holographic footage of some battle parts, mostly of Kizaru's abilities.
"As you can see this Kizaru fellow has some sort of strange power that allows him to become light. Reed mentioned that his team kept trying to hit him, but it was like they phased right through him." Tony explained.
Some of the heroes were stunned to hear that but also seeing the footage made them wonder how someone could get that powerful. Kitty instantly brought up a good point, "So, his power is similar to mine?"
"Possibly, but like we said we don't have all the details," Tony replied.
Whatever comes their way, all the heroes knew they were going to be in a new battle like never before.
Alright, I'll end it there, and don't worry next chapter will be one more focus on the Marvel Universe and Kizaru, and the chapter after will go back to DC Universe and the JL.
