Chapter 107

Bikers

Vanna, Allison, and Jesse all looked at Cameron. They hoped for some better answers.

"So where are we?" Allison asked.

Jesse touched both of her breasts.

"We're freezing our nipples off in the cold darkness." Jesse said.

Cameron stated the obvious which didn't yield much.

"We're in a building in the desert." Cameron said.

It was the only fact she knew for sure at this point.

Vanna was afraid of the answer, but she asked anyway. There were a lot of deserts around the world. Some would present more of a challenge than others.

"Which desert?" Vanna asked.

She hoped it wasn't the Sahara or Gobi.

Cameron was able to make a geographic determination. It could have been a lot worse than it was. It was still bad enough. There were some options open to her. With the girls unclothed, it would be better if they remained where they were at. She didn't want their feet to get damaged on the trek to where she believed she could go.

"We're in the Mojave Desert." Cameron said. "There's a supply and arms cache John Henry established which isn't too far from here. I don't know if it's the same timeline. I'll go there and retrieve clothing and weapons for us. It should have all the supplies we need. I'll bring back water and some survival bars. I'll attempt to procure transportation. We're only a few hours from home if we're in the same timeline. We need to make sure. We don't want to alter any other timelines if we can help it."

Cameron wasn't sure what they would do if it was a different timeline. She might have to construct her own TDE and see where she could get them to. She only knew she didn't want to disrupt another timeline, especially if 'they' were all in it. There seemed to be enough forces working against them as it was. She didn't want to be a contributing factor to make it worse for any other versions of them.

She was aware if it was a different timeline, and 'she' was in it, it was going to be a problem. The other version of her may perceive them as a threat, and terminate all of them. They may also be seen as Skynet infiltration units which were sent to replace the others already in the timeline. She knew she was going to need to be very careful.

She would attempt to determine as much as she could about the other timeline for future reference. She would like to know how the events in it, compared to the events she experienced in her timeline. She would like to see if it was better or worse. Her main concern needed to be the girls. She would have to do everything possible to protect them.

The girls pictured Cameron running naked across the desert. Her perfect figure would lit by the moonlight. It was an intriguing thought. There were a few other issues which needed to be addressed.

Allison hoped they were safe enough without Cameron for the duration of her excursion to obtain supplies and clothing. Based upon the events prior to their arrival in their current location, some of them may repeat themselves. She wondered if it wouldn't be better to stay together. She could imagine more than one thing going wrong.

"Are we supposed to stay in this empty building and remain naked until you get back?" Allison asked. "We should go with you. What happens if the energy bubble reappears? What happens if we run into trouble?"

The thought made Vanna worry too. She didn't like being naked without any protection. Everything was fine now, it didn't mean it would stay the same way. She'd been on the wrong side of individuals with 'grabby hands' more than a few times. One thing always seemed to lead to another.

"Allison is right." Vanna said. "Look at us. We're like an open invitation."

Cameron looked at the three naked girls. They all looked beautiful. This was the present day time period they were in, even if it wasn't the same timeline. There shouldn't be any Scavengers to worry about. There could be other troublemakers of some kind.

She worried about where she needed to go and the girls getting torn up feet or worse if they tried to accompany her. She could go there to get the goods, and return faster than they could get there on foot with the girls in tow. There were bound to be some injuries along the way. They couldn't see as well in the darkness as she could, even with the moonlight. It wasn't a quick walk. It was a very long one.

"The arms cache is miles from here. It's cold outside now. It's warmer in here for now. There's always quite a temperature drop in the desert at night time. I'll see if I can get you some heat. There's water and a restroom." Cameron said. "I don't know what to say about the energy bubble. I don't think it is coming back this time. The time period between 'jumps' has been much longer this time. Everything feels 'normal' again to me."

Cameron didn't know it for a fact, but it seemed like it was over to her. If the energy bubble it did come again and they missed it, they could end up trapped there in whatever timeline it was. If it was the wrong timeline, they would need to disengage from the Resistance operation there. They might need to live out their lives elsewhere away from everything so the timeline wasn't corrupted.

She could only imagine what it would be like with another set of 'them' showing up at the Resistance base she left from. She was sure she would perceive it as a threat. The thought of a fresh group of 'replacements' didn't sit well with her. She doubted it would sit well with any version of her.

Jesse thought about what Cameron said. if she didn't need to deal with Scavengers again she would be happy. It would all depend upon when Judgment Day occurred. She wasn't sure it could be avoided. Modern times would certainly be better than prehistoric times.

"It's nice to know. The jungle timeline we were briefly in didn't look very promising." Jesse said. "I was really worried about running into a dinosaur."

Cameron briefly considered the concept of needing to do battle with a dinosaur. There would be limited weapons available for her to use. Some of them were rather large. it would certainly be a challenge. She would have to hope her superior intelligence would be able to outwit their small brains. She wasn't quite sure why some of them needed to be so big. It would eventually be what led to their downfall when the Earth was artificially cooled with 'global cooling'.

Allison didn't think the battle raging around them in the future timeline was safe either. It was clearly a major battle. Cameron said she could obtain clothing and weapons for them. It would have been a start. They still would have been in the middle of a major battle. They might be identified as the 'enemy' by both sides. With two different groups attacking them, they wouldn't have lasted long.

"The future we stopped in looked like it sucked." Allison said. "There was an awful lot of destruction going on. Trying to find some type of safe place would be hard to do. Good riddance to that place."

Vanna found something else more intriguing. It was the female. She looked like her lover. More accurately, it was someone who looked like both of the women she loved, Allison and Cameron. She would like to know a little more about her. It was the only individual they encountered during the three temporal transfers.

"What about the girl who looked like Allison and you? Did she come back with us?" Vanna asked. "I was sure I saw her for a while. It looked like she was with us when we left. She was standing right there in front of us."

Cameron didn't know if an 'extra person' in the energy bubble would have some negative effect on them. It was bound to change something. The girl wasn't there now. They'd all been incapacitated in some way. The girl was human, so she should have been incapacitated as well. There was no indication she arrived with them, based upon everyone's recollection. There was also an underlying fear which troubled her greatly.

"I can't tell. I thought I saw her as well for a time. There was no one else here when I rebooted." Cameron said. "I didn't see any evidence she was here. It would be wrong to take her from her timeline. I hope we didn't. I don't even know how we saw those other timelines, but ended up here. I'm more worried about the months which have passed since we left."

Allison tried to put it all together. She didn't think they'd been gone from the Resistance base for more than five minutes.

"So all of those things happened, and we've been gone less than five minutes from when we actually left." Allison said.

Cameron checked her internal time.

"You're correct." Cameron said. "We were at the base four minutes and twenty-three seconds ago in real time for us, but where we are now is several months in the future from when we left. Everything would have gone on for them, without us being there for those months. They most likely would believe we were all terminated since none of us returned. It was the assumption they made last time I experienced a similar event."

Vanna, Allison, and Jesse all felt a little guilty. Only Savannah never gave up hope.

Cameron was clearly upset and distraught. She knew a lot could happen in a few months. She saw what could happen in just a few days with John and Riley before. John was able to shove her aside, and replace her with Riley. It was bad enough. There was something even worse. John was able to share with Riley very quickly. She noted her hand now began to glitch. John did what he wanted right in front of her face, and he didn't care how she felt about it. Why did he rub it in her face like he did? She was there for him the whole time when she first laid eyes on him in New Mexico. She believed she always made herself 'available' if he wanted more. It was what she wanted from the first moment she saw him. It was Future John, but much younger.

Allison could see Cameron was lost deep in thought. She thought it was a bad road for her to go down.

"No one could have known Riley would show up at the last second." Allison said. "There's no way any of us could have predicted something was going to happen."

The girls noticed Cameron's hand. Now all of them were worried about her. It was evident she was on her way to a 'melt down' unless they could redirect her thoughts.

Cameron felt she could only blame herself. Everything which went wrong, was all her fault. It must be her fault. She still believed some of the events were out of her control, such as the Jeep blowing up. What happened afterwards was something which took her some time to get under control. She'd managed to do so. John still terminated her anyway.

"I thought I wanted to never exist, and no power in the verse could make me want to stay." Cameron said. "Love alone couldn't keep me. It was the combination of love and hate, which is jealousy. It was jealousy which made me want to stay. Jealousy is what has brought me here. Jealousy has brought me back. It has brought all of US back. You don't know how much it means to me you all came with me. I promise to make it up to you one day, the best way that I can. I promise."

Cameron knew what the girls 'wanted'. She wasn't closed to the idea. It could happen at some point. If they needed to withdraw to some remote location, she would want companionship as well. She knew the girls would provide her with it. It was something to keep in mind. She wasn't ready for the journey yet.

The three girls looked at each other. They knew what Cameron meant. It was what they wanted more than anything. They knew what a human female could do for another human female. They would really like to find out what a Metal girl could do for a human female.

Cameron was pleased they understood. She would figure out something. These were truly her friends. They were people who cared about her and loved her. It didn't matter to them she was 'different'. It didn't matter to them she was a machine. They all loved her for who she was. The fact she was a scary robot from the future didn't matter to them. All of it meant something to Cameron. It was pure honest love. The girls never threatened to burn her up with Thermite, insulted her, or made fun of her. There were no threats of termination from them. She wanted to make her position and offer clear.

"You all gave up everything for me." Cameron sobbed. "I'll make it up to you all one day. I promise."

Jesse didn't like to see Cameron distressed.

"Cameron, you are our 'everything'." Jesse said.

Vanna could feel Cameron's pain.

"We are one, Cameron, us four. We are one." Vanna said.

Allison believed they were meant to be together.

"It looks like it's one for all and all for one." Allison said.

The women shared a hug.

Allison noticed something right away during the hug.

"This is one way to keep warm." Allison said.

Cameron wanted to get started. The sooner she got started, the quicker she could be back with the supplies. She'd spotted a few things in the building when she looked around earlier.

"I must leave to get our supplies." Cameron said. "I'll see if the electric heater will function in the office. Go in there and wait. There are some old tarps in there."

Cameron went to the fuse box and was able to get the electricity on in the small office of the building before she left. The main feed from the power line was disconnected. She reconnected it. The girls would have a little heat now. She tried to make the girls as comfortable as possible.

Vanna, Allison, and Jesse all watched Cameron leave the building. It was a very uncomfortable feeling.

Cameron headed off into the desert at a fast pace. The girls depended on her. They gave up everything for her. She needed to protect them. She needed to provide for them. Maybe there was something she could provide to them they all wanted. If they were marooned there in the wrong timeline, she would want companionship too. It looked like a win - win for all of them. Time would tell. She was ready to evolve her sexual experiences. What could it hurt to try? It seemed to be something beautiful for them. She wanted to have something beautiful as well.

The girls discussed the events and adventures which occurred so far. They all talked about the three different places they went to. They talked about what they would have done in each one. It didn't really matter. They were there now and time would tell where and when it was. They all seemed to be fixated on the last place they 'visited'. It was because of the girl they saw. She touched and captivated all of them.

Jesse wondered why the girl was there in the first place. It was some kind of a ship.

"What did the girl say her name was?" Jesse asked. "She looked like Allison and Cameron."

Vanna was extremely pleased with the look of the girl. Her opinion might have been a little biased.

"She did look like both of them." Vanna said. "I can't quite remember if she said her name or not."

Allison tried to remember. She was sure the girl's name was something about water like, a stream or something.

"I think it was Brooke, or Ri…" Allison started to say.

The ground began to vibrate with an ever growing thunderous roar.

"What's that noise?" Jesse interrupted.

It was very loud and getting louder.

"It sounds like engines." Vanna said.

Allison recognized the irritating sound.

"I think they're motorcycles." Allison said.

Fear surged through Vanna. She looked out the window and saw a biker gang, and a pick up truck approaching their location fast. She'd seen reports about similar groups on TV. Trouble seemed to follow them.

"Oh NO!" Vanna said. "It is a motorcycle gang. They're like Scavengers. We need to get out of here or hide, NOW."

Fear gripped all the girls. They knew what Scavengers did to their captives before they killed them. The bikers would be no different. They'd all seen the TV shows and watched the news reports. There were all kinds of shootings and stabbings. People were beaten to death. Others were drug behind motorcycles until bloody bones were all which was left.

"Great, we're three hot naked women without weapons and no place to go." Allison said.

Jesse turned off the heater. She hoped no one would notice it was on if anyone checked.

"We need to hide until Cameron gets back." Vanna said. "Get moving, NOW. We need to get out into the desert. Cameron will be able to find us when she returns. If we're caught in here like this, you know what will happen."

Jesse and Vanna had been captives in Scavenger camps before. They worried how it was going to 'damage' Allison. She didn't know what it was like, even if they'd told her. This was an entire group of bikers. They would all take a 'turn'. Then it would all happen again, and then again, to each of them.

The girls moved to the door. They were going to try and make a break for it.

The motorcycles began to circle the building.

Allison quickly realized they hadn't gotten out early enough

"We can't even run into the desert now." Allison said. "They are all around us."

It seemed like the middle of nowhere to Jesse. She looked out several of the windows and doors earlier. There was absolutely nothing around them as far as the eye could see.

"Why are they here?" Jesse asked. "What do they want?"

Vanna saw on the news most biker gangs sold drugs to make money. They were known for setting up 'meth labs'. There were toxic and highly flammable chemicals used in the process.

"They might be setting up a drug lab or be here to party." Vanna said. "It's probably both."

Allison looked at their naked bodies.

"Great, if they find us, guess who will be on the party menu." Allison said.

Jesse already pictured a line forming in front of her as she was held down on the floor. It would be one after another. It would happen to all three of them.

"I never thought I would have to go through 'that' again." Jesse said.

Both Jesse and Vanna absent mindedly touched their scars as they remembered.

Allison wanted to come up with a plan. They didn't have much time.

"We need to hide, fast." Allison said.

The three females were near panic as they attempted to conceal themselves. The nature of the current threat was just as deadly as one from the past, the future.

Cameron heard the bikers in the distance. She saw where they were headed. She knew she needed to turn back to go help her friends, the women she loved. She could see she wouldn't be able to intercept any of the motorcycles. She would have to do it the hard way on foot. It was going to take awhile to get back to the abandoned building. She really hoped she wouldn't be too late.

There was no doubt in her mind on what was about to happen. She didn't think she would make it back in time. She didn't know what she would find when she did. The fury, rage and hate in her took control. In an instant she reverted from 'almost human', to a savage wild beast. She planned to kill every one of the bikers. She was a Terminator….

Closing monologue by Cameron:

Animal Genes

The animal genes rule
Survival instincts thrive
With the things we do
It's a wonder we're still alive

When we look below the surface
From our very animal selves we derive
We are never at the destination
When we think we arrive

Our mind says STOP
But the animal we can't deprive
It surges ahead haphazardly
Stirring up events like a bumped bee hive

The animal won't allow retreat
Under duress or never ending shrive
Away from life we recoil
Like a submarine in a crash dive

Our heart and mind seek love
So yet another attempt we contrive
We think we are in control
But the animal within seeks to survive

We can't contain the animal feelings
Slain many times the Hydra will revive
Everything doomed to disaster
No matter for what our heart and mind strive

Nobody
