'Where did I end up this time' Bruce Banner thought to himself as he woke up from the latest Hulk-out. He hoped he hadn't hurt anybody. Rather, he hoped he hadn't hurt anyone aside from the aliens and Loki- the ones he'd been allowed to hurt. He looked over to see Steve in a similar position to himself, lying on his side with his limbs thrown in different directions. A position that looked so accidental that it seemed like it could've been done on purpose. Bruce looked around the room to see quite a few people in that position, or at least a similar one too it.
Most of them looked familiar. He recognized the Avengers, Director Fury and Agent Hill, but everyone else were strangers. A few of them couldn't possibly be described as human. There was a tree in the corner, a tree with a face. After a couple minutes the rest large group of people began to wake one by one.
"Who the hell are you guys?" Asked a Green woman with dark hair that had red tips. She looked a little worse for wear, as though she'd been exerting herself recently. Maybe she was in a similar boat than the Avengers- taken straight out of a battle scene. The group that was standing next to her all had confused looks on their faces, and Bruce could tell that none of them were human, except maybe the white guy with the questionable sideburns.
"I could say the same to you, miss." Steve replied, wondering where they were and how they all got there. Not to mention the aliens in the room with them and -was that Bucky standing in the corner?! Steve did a double take. No, he decided, that wasn't Bucky. His mind is just playing tricks on him. Must be the grief.
"Oh, You're all awake." Said a faceless character. Her voice surrounded them, meaning there was no trying to figure out exactly where she was. "And you're probably wondering why you're all here, aren't you?"
"No, this is totally normal. Happens everyday. Of course we're wondering where we are!" Tony yelled to the ceiling, frustrated. This was exactly what he did not need after an alien invasion. Right now they should be relaxing for a nice-ish lunch at the shawarma place he saw down the street, not sitting in a strange room with an even stranger group of people that he doesn't even know. The red-headed woman beside him grabbed his shoulder in attempt to calm him down. She didn't think yelling at the faceless person (?) was a very good idea.
"You are in a movie theater... kind of, I have brought you all here so that you can watch your pasts, your presents and your futures." The voice said.
"And for what purpose?" A tall, pale dark haired man asked.
"I don't know. Fun? In the meantime, If you would introduce yourselves and state what year you are from. Just so we can all be a little less confused." The voice responded.
"Okay, I'll go first." Steve said when it seemed that no one else would speak up. "I'm Steve rogers, I'm from the year 2012, along with the avengers, SHIELD and..." he spotted the dark haired Asgardian lurking in the corner looking just as he had when they'd found him on the floor of stark tower- injuries and all, though, along with everyone else's, they appear to have been tended to "Loki I guess since apparently he's here."
"I'm Bruce banner. Or the Hulk if I'm angry." Bruce, the meek scientist said.
"What's a Hulk?" The man with the questionable sideburns asked.
"You don't want to find out." The red-headed spy said, remembering her first experience getting to face to face with Bruce's hidden half.
"I am Thor." The blond Asgardian announced, continuing where they left off with introductions after the conversation tapered off.
"I am Loki of Asgard." The dark haired Asgardian/Jotunn spoke. Loki revived a set of glares from the Avengers, who wanted nothing more than to see him pay for what he's just done.
"Clint Barton. Hawkeye" Clint spoke very monotonous and straightforward. He just wanted to get to this over with, and it seemed like it was gonna take a long time. Though he couldn't deny his interest in watching their future. And he did want to figure out who the others were- the ones that weren't human, anyway. He'd always suspected aliens were real, and up until about a year ago he never thought he'd meet any.
"Natasha Romanoff. Black Widow." The redhead said, speaking with the exact same tone as Clint. Cool and Clipped. Straight to the point. Say no more than what is required of you, then keep silent.
"Nick Fury, Director of SHIELD." The man with the eyepatch spoke.
"Maria Hill, Deputy Director of SHIELD" Maria continued, speaking almost immediately after her boss.
"Agent Phil Coulson. 2014." The Avengers looked shocked to see him. Coulson died not even a week ago, and now he's saying he's alive and from their future? Did he fake his death? And more importantly, did Fury have something to do with it?
"2014? Two years from now... you just died." Clint said.
Coulson looked to Fury for help, only he didn't get any because Fury was just as confused as the others- but he was much better than them at masking it. "Well I'm not dead." Coulson said, at last.
"I can see that." Clint spike.
"Agent Coulson has been taken from an Alternative Universe in which SHIELD's success with Project TAHITI- classified- saved him from dying of the wound from Loki's scepter." The voice informed.
Like a Multiverse? Peter Parker thought to himself. That's amazing.
"Tony Stark." The short-ish man with the goatee said, continuing the round of introductions.
"Pepper Potts." The woman in the white pant suit spoke.
"I'm James Rhodes but, you guys could call me Rhodey. Everyone else already does." Rhodey said. Thanks Tony. Though, he didn't exactly hate the nicknames. It was one of the better ones if he were being honest.
"I'm Happy. Not the emotion. My name- nickname, thanks Tony- is Happy." Happy said. People looked confused at the name but they just went with it, they didn't really care enough to ask about it anyway.
"I'm Peter Quill. My team and I- and the chick with the antenna- are all from the same time, except Smurfette over there" he pointed to where Nebula was standing a few feet away from her sister "I don't even know where she came from. Also what year are we from in Earth years?" The man with the sideburns asked. Every planet measures time differently, so he thought he should ask.
"The six of you are from the year two thousand fifteen." The woman in the walls said.
Long way away from 1985. Quill thought.
"I am Gamora." Said the Green lady who spoke earlier.
"Names Rocket." Said a talking raccoon. Natasha did a double take, just to make sure she saw what she thought she did, and yes... that raccoon just spoke.
"The Ewok talks?" Tony asked, mostly to himself. "Aliens, Gods, Magic. Talking raccoon. I've officially seen everything."
"Okay he gets to make movie references, but I get yelled at for it! How is that fair?" The skinny brunette teenager said. And seriously, why were there kids here? "I'm Peter by the way."
"I am Groot. (I am Groot)" said a small talking wood plant creature.
"My name is Mantis." A yellow alien with antenna said.
"I am Drax." Said a shirtless man with red and gray skin. He was standing oddly still, as if he were trying not to be perceived.
"I am Nebula, I am from 2018 in Earth years." Said a blue cyborg. She looked around the room, not being shy about how suspicious she was of it and of the people in it.
"I'm Scott Lang, I'm from 2015 too." Scott piped up. He seemed happy to be here, if a little weary. He doesn't exactly like being thrust into unfamiliar places while he's unconscious. He'd let it happen before and he'd ended up leading an army of ants on a mission to steal a madman's tiny suit. It sounds kind of lame when you say it like that, but it was badass. Trust me. Scott thought.
"I'm Wanda Maximoff, also from 2015." A brunette, Wanda, said. She seemed upset about something. More than upset, devastated really. The kind of devastation that spoke of loss.
"I'm Peter Parker." The kid who spoke out previously said. "I'm from 2017 and so are my friends." He added, gesturing toward a tall girl with curly hair and a heavyset boy with dark hair. Presumably the aforementioned friends.
'He looks young.' Bruce thought as Peter introduced himself.
"I'm Michelle, My friends call me MJ." Said the girl with the brown curly hair. She didn't seem very personable to the others in the room, save Ned and Peter.
"Hey, I'm Ned." The dark haired boy said.
"I am T'Challa, I am from 2017 and this is my sister Shuri." T'Challa says and points to a girl standing next to him as he introduces her.
"I'm Dr. Stephen Strange. 2018." Said the man with the goatee and gray streaked hair, and the odd fashion sense.
'What's up with the cloak, and why does it look like it was moving on it's own?' Steve wndered.
"I'm James Barnes, from 2017." A one-armed man with long hair and a beard said.
Steve jolted in surprise, yanked away from his musings about the Strange doctor's cloak. It really was Bucky?! He felt like he could cry, he never thought he'd see his best friend again. 2017, he said? That couldn't be right. "Your alive? I saw you die, how are you still here?" Steve asked, trying to keep calm. How did Bucky survive that fall? No one could have. Unless what had happened to him had happened to Bucky as well. There's the coincidence of the century, the both of them being frozen in time for decades.
Natasha studied the man, James. She noted that his left arm was missing, but something about him seemed familiar. She felt as though she'd met him or seen him before. Suddenly an image flashed before her eyes. Odessa. Gunshot. The car swerving. Brown hair. A mask. Angry blue eyes. She's seen those before. A bullet. Pain. Blood. Metal arm... red star... left hand. Natasha shook her head, coming back to herself. It was him. Zimniy Soldat was Captain America's long lost best friend. And that little bit of knowledge left her with a hell of a lot more questions than it did answers.
"All of that will be revealed at a later time." The woman in the walls said, effectively cutting off Steve's line of questioning before it could really start. Why should she explain to them everything that happens, when the reason they're there in the first place is to watch it? "Ok now that that's settled we have some movies to watch." The voice said.
'Iron Man 1' 'Year: 2010' appeared on the screen.
