Chapter 140
Heaven
Riley was alone with Holly. She was unsure what she was doing. She could tell Holly was a little mystified at what she was doing. She knew she wanted to do 'something'. She wanted to reach out to Holly. It made her think of the places where Cameron and her went. It was a fun and wild time for her. She hoped to be able to recreate the experience with another Terminator.
She decided to drive Holly to the places Cameron took her to. They went to the pier and rode on the rides and played at the arcade. She noted Holly wasn't as proficient as Cameron. Holly was very good, but not quite as good as Cameron was.
Riley realized she was trying to recreate the feeling she experienced when she was with Cameron. Cameron touched her deeply that night. She felt ashamed for what her alternate self did to Cameron and John. She'd apologized to both of them several times. They both told her they knew they were 'different' people.
She wasn't so sure they were 'different'. It was still her. They both started from the same individual. Even if it was a different timeline, it didn't matter. She was still the one who did it, or went along with it. Since she did it once, she would probably do it again. Why wouldn't she? What would be different? She didn't want her mind to go there. She didn't want to dwell there.
She wanted Holly to be 'Cameron'. Things just weren't the same. Holly lacked the experience Cameron possessed. It was especially true in dealing with humans. Cameron was very experienced dealing with humans and being able to interact with them. Most of the time there was no way to tell Cameron wasn't human, just by looking at her, or watching her act. She knew for the other Terminators, both male and female, someone would notice something was 'a little off' with them with the way they acted or by their mannerisms.
Riley hoped to recreate the experience with the most amount of closeness. She drove them to the same spot where Cameron and her skinny dipped. Other than the incident which occurred when they left, it was a very beautiful bonding experience.
The remains of the shattered surfboard were still there. It made her relive the event. There was the fear of nearly being 'taken' by a group of men. Then there was the exhilaration as Cameron decisively ended the threat, as if it never really existed. She realized for Cameron it never did exist. It was clear Cameron could have acted in a less aggressive manner if she wanted to. It was also clear she didn't want to. She wanted to make a statement to those who abused females.
They paused for a moment as they passed what was left of the surfboard.
Holly noted someone littered. She believed they should remove the refuse when they left. She thought it was important to help protect the environment. She thought if everybody did a little bit, it would help clean up the area. She didn't think it was too hard for people to take care of their own trash. How hard could it be?
Riley tried not to laugh. She went over the incident with Holly. She quickly realized it was probably a mistake.
Holly wasn't amused. She was worried about Riley and Cameron's safety. She immediately began scanning for threats.
It was the opposite effect Riley tried to create.
It was clear Holly expected there would be some type of danger. She searched and scanned for threats all the time as they walked. The atmosphere became very tense.
Riley finally told Holly to relax and enjoy the moment. It didn't look like Holly was going to be able to do so.
"Did you have any fun tonight, Holly?" Riley asked.
Holly was pleased with the change of events which took place. It was a lot different than fighting against Skynet. She didn't need to worry about sustaining sheath damage in the venues they visited. She was still a little apprehensive about their current location and the rogue surfers.
"It's been interesting. I've done many things I haven't done before. I've found it pleasant." Holly said. "I've experienced many feelings and sensations I previously haven't."
Riley wanted to make it more personal with Holly. It just didn't seem to happen. Holly wasn't Cameron. She at least wanted Holly to know she had a good time with her and she thought she was beautiful. She wasn't really sure how else to communicate it without actually saying it.
"I'm having fun and a good time as well, Holly." Riley said. "I want to tell you how Hot you look too. I really like the hair color."
Holly appreciated the comment. She was aware Cameron was superior to her in the 'Tight' department. She also could tell Cameron was a much better infiltration unit than she was. She thought she was better than Gail. It may have just been her personal opinion too.
"Thank you. I don't look Tight like Cameron, but she tried to make us look as good as possible. I'll work on it more until I can look Tight." Holly said. "I want to look as Tight as Cameron. Everyone looks at her and can't stop, then they all look some more."
Riley wanted to tell Holly, with her red dress on, everyone looked at her, especially the low cut part of her dress. It was rather impressive. She didn't want to focus on just one area. It was the overall package which she found desirable.
"You look Tight enough for me." Riley said. "I had a great time tonight."
Holly was pleased she could do something different. It was nice to get away from it all for a while.
"Thank you for bringing me." Holly said.
Riley moved over to her and took her hand as they walked along the sand with the water lapping at their feet. It made her wish Holly and her could 'lap' at other things….
Holly let Riley take her hand. She wasn't sure why she needed her hand held. She started to scan Riley as she continued to scan for threats on the beach. She noted the scans of Riley were continually changing. No threats were detected.
She did note every time Riley and her exchanged a glance in the moonlight, Riley's scans would show increased levels of excitement. She wasn't exactly sure why.
Cameron was a little disturbed with the action which took place at the mall. She went looking for trouble. She found it right away. Maybe she should have skipped the whole event. If she would have, something terrible would have happened to the female. There was no doubt in her mind she was in the right place at the right time. She wasn't the one who pulled the knife and attempted to use it. It was the perpetrators. They both carried a knife. The handcuffs and duct tape spoke for themselves.
She checked in with John Henry to see how everything was. She was very disappointed with the news she received. She became worried John deviated from the plan which was to be a simple recon. She tried to give John some additional independence to act on his own. She instructed him on multiple occasions, he needed to do things in a safe manner so he was protected. She understood his need to do more, but she also needed to make him understand he was important to the future. Many times it seemed her pleas fell on deaf ears. It seemed there was only one thing left to do. John didn't like her to show up on an operation where he was at. He wasn't going to like what was about to happen. She headed for where John's team was at in the 'borrowed' car.
Cameron couldn't understand why John always seemed to deviate from the plan. She'd set things in motion in the order and time frame she wanted them to happen in.
She was irritated now. She thought if everyone would listen to her, AND follow her advice, everything would work smoother. Now she was worried about John and the others. This is why she wanted to do things herself. John thought she always 'took over' when they were out. It was the logical choice. She possessed much more experience than him. For some reason her experience seemed to 'bother' John. Now look at the mess they were in.
She wanted more Terminators where he was at. It would have to be her for now. If he would have stuck to the plan, additional help and resources wouldn't have been necessary.
Cameron increased her speed. She needed to cut down on the distance as fast as possible. She asked John Henry to move any patrol units out of the way so she could continue to speed.
John didn't like how far along the Grays were with an assembly line. He was irritated as much by the fact they'd been able to do it under their noses.
"They've been trying to set up production here for something. As to what it is, I don't know." John said. "I don't know how they did so much without us detecting anything."
John Henry wanted more information. He wanted to see if he could determine exactly what was going on.
John gave John Henry a run down of everything. He sent the body cam footage to him. Along with photos they took of specific things.
John Henry didn't think John should place all the blame on himself. He thought he should take some of the blame too.
"I'll have to expand my search parameters further." John Henry informed him.
John looked around the area. There was a lot of stuff. It seemed to him there was probably even more. As to exactly what it was, he didn't know. He could only speculate.
"There must be more computer banks in here somewhere." John said. "It's possible there's a version of Skynet here. It's probably only a backup program."
Derek didn't like the 'feel' of the place. It seemed off to him. The staff seemed inadequate. He believed for an operation as big as it looked, there should have been a lot more personnel.
"Look at the area around us. There should be more people here." Derek said. "It gives me a really bad feeling."
The red flags in John's head began to go off. Actually he started listening to them. They'd been going off for a long time. He kept pushing them to the back of his mind. He wanted to think what he was doing was the proper thing. He wasn't so sure anymore.
"Yes, it's too easy. I don't like it." John said. "It may be a trap."
Bob analyzed all the scenarios. They all came back to one thing. It was Cameron. She wasn't there. She was the missing factor. She was normally on every operation. He could only come to one conclusion, it wasn't a good one either.
"I believe the goal was to trap and terminate Cameron in here." Bob said. "It's why I don't think they've sprung it yet. They're waiting for her to show herself."
It made sense to Derek. He was sure whoever was 'watching them', didn't know Cameron wasn't even on the property. At some point they would set the trap off anyway. They would want to catch whoever they could. Right now it was them.
"Maybe they don't know Cameron isn't here." Derek said. "I wonder how long they're going to wait before this all blows up."
John didn't care for the new feedback. It spelled doom for them the longer they stayed. Maybe it was time to pull out. He needed to contact the other team.
"I don't like it." John said. "Jim, how is everything out there?"
There was no answer.
John decided to try the rest of the other team.
"Kyle? Vanna?" John asked. "Please respond."
There was no answer.
"Great." John said. "Now what?"
Bob wondered if the trap was already in motion anyway. They were there. There was someone to 'take out'. The enemy didn't want to end up empty handed.
"This is getting better by the minute." Bob said.
The more John thought of it. The more he was sure Bob was correct in his analysis.
"I think Bob is right, this was a ruse to either capture or kill some of us." John said. "Normally Allison and Cameron would both be here. I think they're after one or both of them."
John warned Cameron on multiple occasions she put Allison, and every version of Allison, at risk by having Skynet focus on her.
Derek wanted to send a message and then clear out. As long as they were there, they could create a diversion at the same time they did damage.
"Let's leave some explosives behind and get out of here." Derek said.
A strategic withdrawal seemed like the prudent thing to do.
"Roger that." John said.
They all experienced some static.
"Kyle and Vanna are missing." Jim came over the com.
It wasn't the transmission they wanted to hear.
Earlier:
Jesse left the nightclub with Gail. She knew what she wanted. She brought Gail straight back to her room. She expected Gail to ask her some questions but there were none. It was alright with her too. It was time to make her position and intent clear. She wanted to act. She didn't want Gail to react in the wrong manner.
"I may have had a few too many, but I still know what I'm doing." Jesse said.
Gail looked at Jesse. She felt some anticipation. She observed all of the human females in 'action' before. They all seemed very pleased with everything.
"What are you doing?" Gail asked.
Jesse looked Gail up and down. She really liked what she saw. She understood every female's true desire. It was only a matter of time until they admitted it to themselves. She didn't think a Metal girl was very different.
"I'm doing what you 'want'…." Jesse said.
It was time for action. Actions spoke louder than words.
Jesse gave her a kiss.
Gail didn't respond. She looked at Jesse and tilted her head slightly.
Jesse wasn't about to let things get away from her. She gave Gail a longer and deeper kiss.
Gail was a little hesitant at first. She started to drive pleasure, as well as other feelings from the close physical contact. It was very personal.
Jesse stayed with it until she got what she wanted.
Gail responded to the kiss.
Jesse felt her excitement build. The kiss was hot.
She slipped out of her dress and then helped Gail slip out of hers.
They stood naked before each other. They were two very different body types in almost every way. What was larger on one of them, was smaller on the other. What was smaller on one of them, was larger on the other. Both of them were beautiful.
Gail knew where things were headed. She tried to play coy, but Jesse was persistent. The physical contact by Jesse sparked a response in her. She was inexperienced. She didn't want Jesse to be disappointed. She didn't want Jesse to 'expect' much.
"I've never done 'this' before." Gail said. "I'm a virgin."
The statement excited Jesse even more.
"I've done this before." Jesse told her. "I'll show you. I'll teach you."
Gail was still 'stiff', but she was ready for more.
"I want to learn." Gail said as she looked at Jesse. "I'm ready…."
Jesse hadn't been so excited in a long time. She'd been with a few younger females before, but all of them were 'used' to some extent. Some more than others. Gail was untouched by anyone. Everything she did would be new to Gail.
John's team experienced some static.
"Kyle and Vanna are missing." Jim came over the com.
The news alarmed Derek immediately. He wanted a better answer. There needed to be a better answer.
"What do you mean 'missing'?" Derek asked. "Where are Kyle and Vanna?"
Jim didn't have much information.
"They're gone." Jim said
"Where did they go?" John asked.
"They're just gone." Jim said
Derek was irritated by the response.
"There has to be more to it." Derek said.
Jim could only tell them what he knew. It wasn't much.
"They're not here." Jim said. "I rebooted and they were gone when I came back online."
John's team began searching for immediate threats. It seemed there was some type of incident.
"What took you offline?" John asked.
Jim double checked his files. There was no good answer.
"I don't know." Jim said. "I was watching the building. The next thing I remember was I rebooted."
They all picked up a garbled transmission on their coms.
… Static … "…following…. Vanna…. north…." … Static …. It was Kyle.
John tried to put it together. He hoped Jim could spot something.
"It sounds like Kyle is following Vanna on the north side." John said. "What do you see, Jim?"
Jim started to check the direction Kyle indicated as soon as he spoke. He was unable to see them.
"I don't see anything." Jim said. "I'm looking in the direction indicated now."
John wanted some deeper input and information. He wanted some answers.
"John Henry, what's on the north side of this facility?" John asked.
John Henry checked the satellite photos.
"Nothing." John Henry responded.
John was aware the 'recon' was falling apart fast. He was sure Cameron was going to be all over him about it. He quickly realized, it would only be if he wasn't killed. He hoped to be able to be chewed out. It would mean he survived.
Cameron was updated by John Henry. The area seemed like a 'set up'. The team was scattered around the area. It appeared they were caught in a trap. She increased her speed further.
She was more worried about John than she was upset. She was very upset at John. It indicated how much worry she experienced.
If only people would listen to her.
Cameron became more agitated as she drove about ALL the things people didn't listen to her about, or do as she 'ASKED'.
None of this was brain surgery.
Cameron decided she was going to MAKE people start listening to her and do as she 'ASKED'. What was so hard about it? It made her feel like she didn't really matter to anyone.
Earlier:
Jesse started 'right in' on Gail after the kiss.
Gail noted what Jesse did to her. She could see different things produced different responses through her neural network. They were all extremely pleasurable, some of them were more pleasurable than others. She did the same things back, but with 'Terminator intensity'. It seemed to produce a different response on Jesse than she'd felt.
She stopped and looked at Jesse's unmoving form.
Jesse just vocalized a series of 'noises'.
Gail became worried.
"Are you terminated?" Gail asked Jesse as she worried even more.
Jesse needed to get some air.
"Wait... I can... breathe... again…." Jesse gasped. "I can almost... see again…."
Gail was worried she'd 'damaged' Jesse. She wanted to justify her actions.
"I only did as you did." Gail said. "I didn't mean to incapacitate you."
Jesse tried to smile. It was difficult. Many of her body functions shut down with all of the sensory overload she experienced. She needed to make Gail understand how wonderful it was for her.
"You didn't, love. You sent me to 'heaven' like I've never been sent before." Jesse said.
Gail was even more worried. She was familiar with various customs associated with different religions. Only dead people went to 'heaven'.
"You died?" Gail asked. "Did I terminate you?"
Gail was now worried Cameron was going to be angry at her for 'damaging' Jesse.
Jesse wanted Gail to understand how wonderful it was for her.
"No, love. It's an expression for a strong or wild sexual climax." Jesse said as she breathed deeply. "I never experienced so many climaxes in a row, one after another, before. It was my best time ever."
Jesse moved up and kissed Gail again. Things were even better than she'd imagined. She'd only tried one thing so far with Gail. It was clear it was going to be a great experience for both of them.
"Let me teach you more…." Jesse said. "We're just getting started…. You're an excellent student."
'My Sharona' by 'The Knack', played in the background.
Closing monologue by Cameron:
Heart To Heart
Here we are
Heart to heart
Where will it go
Once we start
If we continue
Is that smart
Or will it only
Tear us apart
As life moves on
We all play a part
Will Cupid shoot an arrow
Or only throw a dart
Our love can abound
And go off the chart
Can we find the sweetness
While we avoid the tart
Face to face
With my sweetheart
Is love music
Or is love art
For you my love
Does beat my heart
You are the one
True love will always restart
Nobody
